電動機
 本発明は、電動機に関する。
 JP2000-261998Aには、電動機が開示されている。この電動機は、部位毎に透磁率が異なる複雑構造の磁性楔を固定子のティース間に配置して回転効率を高めている。
 この電動機にあっては、ティース間に設けられた磁気楔によってティース間には常に漏れ磁束が流れる。このため、この電動機は、高トルク駆動時におけるトルク特性が悪化するという問題があった。
 本発明は、このような問題に鑑みてなされたものであり、磁性楔を用いた場合であってもトルク特性を改善することが可能な電動機を提供することを目的とする。
 本発明のある態様によれば、電動機は、コイルを有するティースが周方向に離間して配置された固定子と、ティースに対応する部分に永久磁石が設けられた回転子と、隣接するティースの先端部間に設けられた磁性楔と、を備える。磁性楔の飽和磁束密度は、ティースの飽和磁束密度以下である。
 この電動機において、磁性楔の飽和磁束密度は、ティースの飽和磁束密度以下であり、ティース間に設けられた磁性楔は、磁気飽和し易い。
 このため、高トルク駆動時に磁性楔が磁気飽和した際には、ティース間に流れる漏れ磁束の増加が抑えられ、トルクアップに寄与する主磁路に沿った磁束の流れの減少を抑制することができる。
 したがって、電動機は、磁性楔を用いた場合であっても高トルク駆動時のトルク特性を改善することが可能となる。

 <実施形態>
 以下、図面等を参照して、本発明の実施形態について説明する。
 図1は、本実施形態に係る電動機10の要部を示す拡大図であり、図1には、電動機10の内部の一部が示されている。図2は、本実施形態に係る電動機10の磁性楔36を示す斜視図である。
 図1に示す電動機10は、いわゆるインナーロータ型の電動機であって、例えば電気自動車で用いられる。電動機10は、車両に搭載され、車両に設けられた駆動輪を駆動するとともに、減速時に発電機として機能する。
 電動機10としては、回転子20の表面に永久磁石22が設けられた表面磁石型(Surface Permanent Magnet)の永久磁石同期モータが知られている。また、電動機10としては、回転子20の内部に永久磁石(図示省略)が埋め込まれた埋込磁石型(Interior permanent Magnet)の永久磁石同期モータが知られている。
 本実施形態の電動機10は、表面磁石型の永久磁石同期モータの例として説明するが、本実施形態に係る電動機10は、埋込磁石型の永久磁石同期モータに適用することも可能である。
 電動機10は、コイル30を有するティース32が周方向Sに離間して配置された固定子34と、ティース32に対応する部分である対向面(ロータコア表面)20Aに永久磁石22が設けられた回転子20と、を備える。電動機10は、隣接するティース32の先端部間に設けられた磁性楔36を備える。回転子20は、固定子34の内側に配置されている。回転子20は、固定子34に対して回転可能である。
 (固定子)
 固定子34は、ケーシング(図示省略)に固定されている。固定子34は、例えば複数積層された円形リング状の電磁鋼板で構成されており、固定子34は、円筒状に形成される。固定子34を構成する電磁鋼板としては、全方向に優れた磁気特性を有する無方向性電磁鋼板が用いられる。
 固定子34の内縁34Aには、複数の切欠きが周方向Sに等間隔をおいて形成されている。固定子34には、この切欠きによって内側へ向けて開口したスロット40が形成されている。隣接するスロット40間には、内側へ向けて延在するティース32が形成されている。
 ティース32は、固定子34におけるリング状の外縁部50から内側へ向けて延びる胴部32Aを備える。胴部32Aの先端には、先端側へ向かうに従って幅寸法が広くなる拡幅部32Bが形成されている。拡幅部32Bの先端には、先端に達するまで幅寸法が一定な幅広部32Cが形成されている。
 各ティース32の胴部32Aには、巻き線が巻かれており、各ティース32は、巻き線で構成されたコイル30を有する。各ティース32が有するコイル30の一部は、ティース32間に形成されたスロット40内に配置される。
 各コイル30には、駆動装置(図示省略)からの電流が入力される。各ティース32は、コイル30に入力される電流によって励磁される。
 (回転子)
 回転子20は、例えば円柱状に形成されている。回転子20の回転中心Cには、回転軸60が設けられている。回転軸60は、軸受けを介してケーシング(図示省略)に支持される。回転子20は、回転軸60を中心として回転可能である。
 回転子20の外周面は、固定子34の各ティース32の端面に対向する対向面20Aを構成する。対向面20Aには、前述した永久磁石22が設けられている。
 永久磁石22は、当該回転子20の周方向Sに配置された複数の主磁石70(70A、70B)と、各主磁石70(70A、70B)の間に配置され、隣接する主磁石70(70A、70B)の磁化方向と異なる方向に磁化された補助磁石72(72A、72B、72C、72D)と、を有するハルバッハ配列の磁気回路を構成する。補助磁石72(72A、72B、72C、72D)の磁化方向は、主磁石70(70A、70B)の磁化方向に対して、90度以下の範囲で傾いている。
 なお、明細書及び図面において、主磁石70を構成する第一主磁石は、主磁石を示す符号「70」に「A」を加えた符号「70A」を付して説明する。主磁石70を構成する第二主磁石は、主磁石を示す符号「70」に「B」を加えた「70B」を付して説明する。
 また、補助磁石72を構成する第一補助磁石は、補助磁石を示す符号「72」に「A」を加えた符号「72A」を付して説明する。補助磁石72を構成する第二補助磁石は、補助磁石を示す符号「72」に「B」を加えた符号「72B」を付して説明する。補助磁石72を構成する第三補助磁石は、補助磁石を示す符号「72」に「C」を加えた符号「72C」を付して説明する。補助磁石72を構成する第四補助磁石は、補助磁石を示す符号「72」に「D」を加えた符号「72D」を付して説明する。
 具体的に説明すると、主磁石70は、ティース32側である回転子20の径方向R外側がN極となるように磁化された第一主磁石70Aと、回転軸60側である径方向R内側がN極となるように磁化された第二主磁石70Bと、を有する。
 第一主磁石70Aの周方向S一方側には、第一補助磁石72Aと第二補助磁石72Bとが順に配置されている。第二補助磁石72Bの一方側には、第二主磁石70Bが配置されており、第一主磁石70Aと第二主磁石70Bとの間には、第一補助磁石72Aと第二補助磁石72Bが配置されている。
 第一主磁石70Aの周方向S他方側には、第三補助磁石72Cと第四補助磁石72Dとが順に配置されている。第四補助磁石72Dの他方側には、第二主磁石70Bが配置されており、第一主磁石70Aと第二主磁石70Bとの間には、第三補助磁石72Cと第四補助磁石72Dが配置されている。
 第一補助磁石72Aは、ティース32側である径方向R外側へ向かうに従って隣接する第一主磁石70Aへ近づくように傾斜した傾斜方向がN極となるように磁化されている。第二補助磁石72Bは、回転軸60側である径方向R内側へ向かうに従って隣接する第二主磁石70Bから離れるように傾斜した傾斜方向がN極となるように磁化されている。
 第三補助磁石72Cは、ティース32側である径方向R外側へ向かうに従って隣接する第一主磁石70Aへ近づくように傾斜した傾斜方向がN極となるように磁化されている。第四補助磁石72Dは、回転軸60側である径方向R内側へ向かうに従って隣接する第二主磁石70Bから離れるように傾斜した傾斜方向がN極となるように磁化されている。
 各補助磁石72A、72B、72C、72Dの磁化方向を示す傾斜方向は、径方向Rに対して45度傾斜した方向である。
 これにより、回転子20は、対向面20Aの永久磁石22から固定子34の各ティース32へ向けた磁場強度が高まるように構成されている。
 (磁性楔)
 図1及び図2に示すように、磁性楔36は、隣接したティース32の拡幅部32B間に配置される本体部36Aと、本体部36Aから突出し隣接したティース32の幅広部32C間に配置される突出部36Bと、を有する。本体部36Aは、回転子20側へ向かうに従って幅寸法が狭くなる側面視台形状に形成されている。突出部36Bは、側面視矩形状に形成されている。突出部36Bの先端面36Cは、回転子20の永久磁石22との間に間隙を形成した状態で回転子20の外周面を構成する永久磁石22に対向する。
 磁性楔36は、軟磁性体で構成される。軟磁性体は、例えば低透磁率磁性材料で形成される。低透磁率磁性材料は、例えば酸化鉄を主成分としてコバルト、ニッケル、マンガンなどを混合焼結した材料が挙げられる。
 磁性楔36の飽和磁束密度は、固定子34に形成されたティース32の飽和磁束密度以下に設定されており、磁性楔36の飽和磁束密度は、高トルク駆動時に磁性楔36が磁気飽和する大きさに設定されている。なお、磁性楔36の飽和磁束密度は、ティース32の飽和磁束密度よりも小さいことが望ましい。
 具体的に説明すると、磁性楔36は、室温における初透磁率が、5000H/m以下であって、飽和磁束密度が、400mT以上の磁性体で形成される。
 これに対して、ティース32を有する固定子34は、室温における比透磁率が、17,000H/m程度であって、飽和磁束密度が、2T以下の磁性体で形成される。
 また、磁性楔36は、圧延方向に優れた磁気特性を有する方向性電磁鋼板で構成される。この場合、磁性楔36は、例えば圧延方向が、隣接したティース32間を流れる磁束の通流方向としての周方向Sとなるように積層された複数の方向性電磁鋼板で形成することができる。これにより、磁性楔36は、隣接したティース32間を流れる磁束の通流方向としての周方向Sの透磁率が、通流方向と交差する交差方向としての径方向Rの透磁率よりも高い。
 このように、磁性楔36は、方向性電磁鋼板で構成することで、インダクタンスに異方性を持たせることができる。これにより、磁性楔36は、隣接するティース32間において磁束を通し易くすることが可能となる。
 具体的に説明すると、本実施形態の磁性楔36は、周方向Sの比透磁率を約5,000H/mとし、径方向Rの比透磁率は5,000H/m以下の値となるようにする。
 なお、磁性楔36は、周方向Sの比透磁率と径方向Rの比透磁率とが同じ値でも良いが、径方向Rの比透磁率が周方向Sの比透磁率よりも大きくならないようにする。好ましくは、磁性楔36は、径方向Rの比透磁率が周方向Sの比透磁率よりも小さくなるようにする。
 なお、本実施形態は、磁性楔36を方向性電磁鋼板で形成する場合を例に挙げて説明するが、磁性楔36は、この構成に限定されるものではない。例えば、透磁率が高い板体と透磁率が低い板体とを径方向Rに交互に積層し、隣接したティース32間を流れる磁束の通流方向としての周方向Sの透磁率が、通流方向と交差する交差方向としての径方向Rの透磁率よりも高い磁性楔36を構成してもよい。
 さらに、磁性楔36の透磁率は、固定子34に形成されたティース32の透磁率以下に設定されている。磁性楔36の透磁率は、ティース32の透磁率よりも小さいことが望ましい。
 磁性楔36が方向性電磁鋼板で構成された本実施形態において、磁性楔36の周方向Sの透磁率は、無方向性電磁鋼板で構成された固定子34のティース32の透磁率以下に設定されている。この場合にも磁性楔36の周方向Sの透磁率は、ティース32の透磁率よりも小さいことが望ましい。
 具体的に説明すると、本実施形態の磁性楔36の周方向Sの比透磁率は約5,000H/mであるのに対し、ティース32を有した固定子34の比透磁率は5,000H/m以下の値となるようにする。
 なお、本実施形態では、磁性楔36が方向性電磁鋼板で構成された構成において、磁性楔36の周方向Sの透磁率が固定子34のティース32の透磁率以下である場合を例に挙げて説明したが、電動機10は、この構成に限定されるものではない。
 例えば、磁性楔36が方向性電磁鋼板でない構成において、磁性楔36の透磁率を固定子34に形成されたティース32の透磁率以下に設定してもよい。このような電動機10においても、磁性楔36の透磁率は、ティース32の透磁率よりも小さいことが望ましい。
 以下に、上記実施形態の変形例について説明する。変形例において、前述した実施形態と同一又は同等部分については、同符号を付して説明を割愛し、前述した実施形態と異なる部分についてのみ説明する。いずれの変形例も上記実施形態と同様に本発明の範囲に属する。
 (第一変形例)
 図3は、第一変形例に係る電動機10の要部を示す拡大図である。図4は、第一変形例に係る電動機10の磁性楔36を示す斜視図である。第一変形例に係る電動機10は、前述した実施形態と比較して、磁性楔36の構成が異なる。
 (磁性楔)
 図3及び図4に示すように、第一変形例に係る電動機10の磁性楔36は、回転子20と対向する面としての先端面36Cとは反対側に位置する面としての反対面36Dに、当該電動機10の回転軸60が延びる回転軸方向に沿って延在する溝100を備える。反対面36Dは、ティース32間に形成されたスロット40内に配置される。
 反対面36Dに形成された溝100は、反対面36Dにおける周方向Sの中心に位置する。これにより、磁性楔36は、溝100が形成された反対面36Dの周方向Sの中心部の磁気抵抗が大きくなる。
 なお、本変形例は、溝100が反対面36Dにおける周方向Sの中心に設けられた場合を例に挙げて説明するが、溝100は、反対面36Dにおける周方向Sの中心と異なる位置に設けてもよい。
 また、反対面36Dは、溝100を境とした周方向S一方側の一方側反対面36D1と、周方向S他方側の他方側反対面36D2とに区画される。一方側反対面36D1は、当該反対面36Dが配置されたスロット40の周方向S一方側のティース32に設けられたコイル30の端面に面する。他方側反対面36D2は、当該反対面36Dが配置されたスロット40の周方向S他方側のティース32に設けられたコイル30の端面に面する。
 反対面36Dに形成された溝100は、横断面形状が円弧状に形成されている。
 なお、本変形例は、溝100の横断面形状が円弧状の場合を例に挙げて説明するが、溝100の横断面形状は、この形状に限定されるものではない。溝100の横断面形状は、例えば、三角形状又は矩形状であってもよい。
 ここで、横断面形状が矩形状の溝100を有する磁性楔36は、磁束の大きさに応じて生ずる力が溝100の角部に集中し易く、高トルク駆動時において折れが生ずる虞がある。そこで、本変形例は、溝100の横断面形状を円弧状とすることで、局所的な応力集中が抑制され、磁性楔36の予期せぬ破損の抑制が可能となる。
 (第二変形例)
 図5は、第二変形例に係る電動機10の要部を示す拡大図である。第二変形例に係る電動機10は、いわゆるアウターロータ型の電動機であって、前述した実施形態と比較して、固定子34と回転子20との位置関係が異なる。
 図5に示すように、第二変形例に係る電動機10は、コイル30を有するティース32が周方向Sに離間して配置された固定子34と、ティース32に対向する対向面20Aに永久磁石22が設けられた回転子20と、を備える。また、第二変形例に係る電動機10は、隣接するティース32の先端部間に設けられた磁性楔36を備える。回転子20は、固定子34の外側に配置されている。回転子20は、固定子34に対して回転可能である。
 回転子20の対向面20Aの永久磁石22は、回転子20の周方向Sに配置された複数の主磁石70と、各主磁石70の間に配置され隣接する主磁石70の磁化方向と異なる方向に磁化された補助磁石72と、を有するハルバッハ配列の磁気回路を構成する。補助磁石72の磁化方向は、主磁石70の磁化方向に対して、90度以下の範囲で傾いている。
 (作用及び効果)
 以上説明したように、本実施形態の電動機10は、コイル30を有するティース32が周方向Sに離間して配置された固定子34と、ティース32に対応する部分に永久磁石22が設けられた回転子20と、を備える。電動機10は、隣接するティース32の先端部間に設けられた磁性楔36を備える。磁性楔36の飽和磁束密度は、ティース32の飽和磁束密度以下である。
 このような電動機10において、磁性楔36の飽和磁束密度は、ティース32の飽和磁束密度以下であり、ティース32間に設けられた磁性楔36は、磁気飽和し易い。
 このため、電動機10は、高トルク駆動時に磁性楔36が磁気飽和する際には、磁性楔36の透磁率を下げることができる。これにより、ティース32間に流れる漏れ磁束は、増加が抑えられるので、トルクアップに寄与する主磁路に沿った磁束の流れの減少を抑制することができる。
 したがって、電動機10は、磁性楔36を用いた場合であっても高トルク駆動時のトルク特性を改善することが可能となる。
 また、電動機10は、回転子20が高速回転する高速域であって低トルク駆動時には、隣接するティース32間に流れる漏れ磁束を形成することができるので、回転効率を高めることができる。
 よって、電動機10は、高トルク駆動時のトルク特性の悪化を抑制しつつ、高速域での回転効率を向上することが可能となる。
 また、本実施形態において、磁性楔36は、隣接したティース32間を流れる磁束の通流方向としての周方向Sの透磁率が、通流方向と交差する交差方向としての径方向Rの透磁率よりも高い。
 このような構成において、磁性楔36は、ティース32間を流れる漏れ磁束を交差方向としての径方向Rに流れる磁束よりも増加することができる。これにより、電動機10は、高速域での低トルク時における回転効率をさらに高めることが可能となる。
 また、本実施形態において、磁性楔36は、方向性電磁鋼板で構成される。
 このような構成の電動機10は、方向性電磁鋼板を用いることによって、通流方向としての周方向Sの透磁率が交差方向としての径方向Rの透磁率よりも高い磁性楔36を形成することが可能となる。
 また、本実施形態において、磁性楔36の透磁率は、ティース32の透磁率以下である。
 このような構成において、電動機10は、磁性楔36の透磁率をティース32の透磁率以下とすることによって、ティース32間を流れる漏れ磁束を確保して、高速域での低トルク時における回転効率を高めることが可能となる。
 なお、磁性楔36の透磁率をティース32の透磁率よりも小さくすれば、磁性楔36の透磁率がティース32の透磁率よりも大きい場合と比較して、磁性楔36に流れる磁束の集中を抑制することができる。これにより、電動機10は、ティース32を流れる磁束を確保できるので、トルク特性をより向上させることが可能となる。
 また、本実施形態において、永久磁石22は、回転子20の周方向Sに配置された複数の主磁石70(70A、70B)と、主磁石70(70A、70B)の間に配置され隣接する主磁石70(70A、70B)の磁化方向と異なる方向に磁化された補助磁石72(72A、72B、72C、72D)と、を有するハルバッハ配列の磁気回路を構成する。
 このような構成において、回転子20の永久磁石22は、ハルバッハ配列の磁気回路を構成するので、ティース32へ向けた磁場強度を大きくすることが可能となる。
 また、本実施形態において、磁性楔36は、回転子20と対向する面とは反対側に位置する面としての反対面36Dに、電動機10の回転軸60が延びる回転軸方向に沿って延在する溝100を備える(図3及び図4参照)。
 このような構成において、磁性楔36は、スロット40側に位置する反対面36Dに溝100が形成される。これにより、スロット40側に位置する反対面36Dに溝100を備えない場合と比較して、スロット40へ向かう磁束を抑制することができるので、前述した磁性楔36による効果の向上が可能となる。
 また、本実施形態において、溝100は、周方向Sの中心に位置し、横断面形状が円弧状である(図4参照)。
 このような構成において、磁性楔36の反対面36Dに形成された溝100は、横断面形状が円弧状に形成されている。このため、電動機10は、溝100の横断面形状が例えば矩形状に形成された場合と比較して、溝100の内面に生ずる応力を分散することが可能となり、磁性楔36の予期せぬ破損を抑制することが可能となる。
 以上、本発明の実施形態及び各変形例について説明したが、上記実施形態及び各変形例は本発明の適用例の一部を示したに過ぎず、本発明の技術的範囲を上記実施形態及び各変形例の具体的構成に限定する趣旨ではない。
 前述した本実施形態及び各変形例の電動機10は、電気自動車で用いられる電動機10を例に説明したが、電動機10は、これに限定されるものではなく、他の装置で用いられる電動機10であってもよい。
 前述した本実施形態及び各変形例の電動機10は、磁性楔36の透磁率がティース32の透磁率以下である場合を例に挙げて説明したが、磁性楔36の透磁率は、ティース32の透磁率以下でなくてもよい。

Claims (7)

  1.  コイルを有するティースが周方向に離間して配置された固定子と、
     前記ティースに対応する部分に永久磁石が設けられた回転子と、
     隣接する前記ティースの先端部間に設けられた磁性楔と、を備え、
     前記磁性楔の飽和磁束密度は、前記ティースの飽和磁束密度以下である、
     電動機。
  2.  請求項1に記載の電動機であって、
     前記磁性楔は、隣接した前記ティース間を流れる磁束の通流方向の透磁率が、前記通流方向と交差する交差方向の透磁率よりも高い、
     電動機。
  3.  請求項2に記載の電動機であって、
     前記磁性楔は、方向性電磁鋼板で構成される、
     電動機。
  4.  請求項1に記載の電動機であって、
     前記磁性楔の透磁率は、前記ティースの透磁率以下である、
     電動機。
  5.  請求項1から請求項4のいずれか一項に記載の電動機であって、
     前記永久磁石は、前記回転子の周方向に配置された複数の主磁石と、前記主磁石の間に配置され隣接する前記主磁石の磁化方向と異なる方向に磁化された補助磁石と、を有するハルバッハ配列の磁気回路を構成する、
     電動機。
  6.  請求項1から請求項4のいずれか一項に記載の電動機であって、
     前記磁性楔は、前記回転子と対向する面とは反対側に位置する面に、電動機の回転軸方向に沿って延在する溝を備える、
     電動機。
  7.  請求項6に記載の電動機であって、
     前記溝は、周方向の中心に位置し、横断面形状が円弧状である、
     電動機。
