Description

回転電機
 本発明は、回転電機に関する。
 JP2022-161445Aには、主磁石及び補助磁石がハルバッハ配列に従って配置されたアウターロータを備える回転電機が開示されている。
 上記文献に記載の回転電機は、主磁石と補助磁石とをハルバッハ配列に従って配置することで磁極の磁束密度を大きくする構成であり、ロータの主磁石及び補助磁石は、ステータに対して同一のエアギャップとなるように配置される。このような構成の場合、主磁石の磁束密度を変化させるための補助磁石の磁束が、ステータに鎖交することで鉄損を発生させ、その分だけ回転電機の効率が低下するという問題があった。
 本発明はこのような問題に鑑みてなされたものであり、効率の低下を抑制可能な回転電機を提供することを目的とする。
 本発明のある態様によれば、スロット及び巻線を有するステータと、永久磁石及びロータコアを有し、ステータとの間にエアギャップを介して配置されるロータと、を備える回転電機に適用される。永久磁石は、磁極がロータの径方向に配向する主磁石と、主磁石に隣接して磁極が周方向に配向する補助磁石とを備える。これら主磁石及び補助磁石がハルバッハ配列に従ってロータコアの表面に交互に配置される。補助磁石とステータとの間隔が、主磁石とステータとの間隔よりも大きく構成される。

 以下、図面等を参照して、本発明の実施形態について説明する。
 図1は、本発明の第1実施形態の回転電機100の軸方向に垂直な断面図であって、構成全体の一部を示す図である。全体構成の残りの部分は、図1で示す部分構成が連続的に繰り返される。
 本実施形態の回転電機100は、円環形状のステータ1と、ステータ1と同心円状で、ステータ1との間にエアギャップ13を有してステータ1の内周に配置されるロータ2と、ロータ2の内周側で、エアギャップ13に面して配置される永久磁石3とを備える。永久磁石3は、主磁石31と補助磁石32とからなる。主磁石31と補助磁石32とは、ハルバッハ配列に従って周方向に交互に配置される。
 本実施形態の回転電機100は、電動自動車に搭載され、車輪を駆動する電動機として機能する。また、車輪の回転を受けて発電(回生)を行なう発電機として機能する。なお自動車以外の装置、例えば各種電気機器又は産業機械の駆動装置として用いられてもよい。
 ステータ1は、リング状のステータコア11と、ステータコア11に形成されるスロット9に巻き回される固定子巻線10とから構成される。ステータコア11は、内周側(ロータ2側)に向けて突出する複数のティース8と、隣接するティース8間の空間であるスロット9とが形成される。ステータコア11は、電磁鋼板が積層されて構成される。
 ロータ2は、ロータコア12を有する。ロータコア12は、電磁鋼板が積層されて構成される。ロータコア12の外周面(表面)には、永久磁石3が固定されるための溝構造30が形成される。主磁石31及び補助磁石32は、この溝構造30の外周側に当接し、接着剤によってそれぞれ固定される。ロータ2の内周側には、ロータシャフト15が固定されるシャフト孔14を備える。
 本実施形態のロータ2は、主磁石31と補助磁石32とが、ハルバッハ配列に従ってロータコア12の外周に沿って、周方向に交互に配置される。主磁石31の径方向に沿った断面形状は、周方向に長辺を有する長方形形状を有する。補助磁石32は、主磁石31と主磁石31との間に配置される。補助磁石32の径方向に沿った断面形状は、主磁石31よりも長辺が短い長方形形状を有する。これら主磁石31及び補助磁石32は、ロータコア12の外周面に接着剤を用いて固定される。
 主磁石31は、その磁極がロータ2の径方向となるように配置されており、隣り合う主磁石31同士の磁極は逆となるように配置される。補助磁石32は、その磁極がロータ2の周方向となるように、すなわち主磁石31に対して磁極が直交するように配置される。このような構成により、磁極中心となる主磁石31の磁束が補助磁石32によりステータ1側へと偏向させ、ステータ1に鎖交する磁束を大きくできるので、回転電機100のトルク効率を改善することができる。
 ロータ2は、周方向に隣り合う二つの主磁石31とこれらの間の補助磁石32とにより磁極が構成され、図1において四つの主磁石31により四つの磁極が構成される。これに対向するステータ1は、三つのティース8及び三つのスロット9が配置され、一つのティース8に対して二つの磁極が対向する。
 このように、回転電機100は、一つのティース8に対して二つの磁極が対向するように構成される。これらの関係は、スロット数S、永久磁石3の極対数R、ステータ1の固定子巻線10の極対数Pとしたときに、S=R±Pの関係が成立する。本実施形態では、回転電機100をこのように構成することにより、ロータ2が回転するときステータ1に変調した鎖交磁束が発生し、変調した鎖交磁束に同期してステータ1に磁界が発生する。これにより、ステータ1の磁界による電気角の進角が発生するので、ロータ2の磁束にこの作用が加わることにより、回転電機100のトルクを増大させることができる。
 次に、永久磁石3とエアギャップ13との関係について説明する。
 本実施形態の回転電機100は、主磁石31と補助磁石32とをハルバッハ配列に従って配置することで、ロータ2の磁極の磁束密度を大きくし、さらに前述のように、三つのスロット9と四つの磁極を備えることでトルクを増大させる構成である。一般的に、ロータ2の磁束をステータ1に作用させるために、永久磁石3とステータ1との距離、すなわちエアギャップ13が小さいことが望ましい。一方で、主磁石31の磁束密度を変化させるための補助磁石32をステータ1に近接して配置すると、補助磁石32の磁束がステータ1に鎖交することで、ステータ1に鉄損を発生させる場合がある。この場合は、その分だけ回転電機100のトルク効率が低下するという問題があった。
 そこで本実施形態では、次のような構成により、補助磁石32による鉄損が発生することの影響を最小限として、トルク効率を向上させた。
 図1に示すように、ロータ2は、主磁石31とステータ1の内周面(すなわちティース8の先端面)との距離(エアギャップ13)に対して、補助磁石32とステータ1の内周面(ティース8の内周面)との距離が大きくなるように構成されている。すなわち、補助磁石32は、補助磁石32の外側面がエアギャップ13から後退した位置となるように配置されている。
 図2は、図1のA部分の拡大図である。図2に示すように、補助磁石32は、その外面、すなわち補助磁石32のステータ1に対向する辺32aが、主磁石31の径方向の中心線CLと主磁石31のステータ1とは反対側の辺31dとの間に位置するように配置される。
 このように補助磁石32をステータ1から離間させて配置することで、補助磁石32からステータ1側に鎖交する磁束が減少するので、ステータ1に発生する鉄損を減少させることができる。なお、このように構成した場合にも、補助磁石32により主磁石31の磁束をステータ1側に偏向させる効果に影響はほとんどない。
 また、ロータ2には、隣り合う主磁石31と、これら主磁石31の間に位置する補助磁石32とによって空間が画成される。図2に示すように、この空間により、長方形形状の主磁石31の外周を取り囲む4つの辺のうち、ステータ1に対向する第1の辺31aと、第1の辺31aの両端にそれぞれ隣接する第2の辺31b及び第3の辺31cとが、エアギャップ13に露出する。
 このような構成により、主磁石31がエアギャップ13に露出する表面積が増加することにより、ロータ2の回転によりエアギャップ13を循環する空気によって、主磁石31を冷却することができる。
 このように、本実施形態の回転電機100は、スロット9及び固定子巻線10を有するステータ1と、永久磁石3及びロータコア12を有し、ステータ1との間にエアギャップ13を介して配置されるロータ2と、を備える。永久磁石3は、磁極がロータ2の径方向に配向する主磁石31と、主磁石31に隣接して磁極がロータ2の周方向に配向する補助磁石32と、がハルバッハ配列に従ってロータコアの表面に交互に配置され、補助磁石32とステータ1との間隔が、主磁石31とステータ1との間隔よりも大きく構成される。
 この構成では、補助磁石32をステータ1から離間させて配置することで、補助磁石32からステータ1側に鎖交する磁束が減少するので、ステータ1に発生する鉄損を減少させることができる。このような構成であっても、隣接する主磁石31と主磁石31との間に補助磁石32が配置されることで、磁極中心となる主磁石31の磁束をステータ1側へと偏向させる作用に影響を与えることなく、鉄損による回転電機100のトルク効率の低下を防止することが可能となる。
 また、本実施形態では、補助磁石32は、ステータ1に対向する辺がエアギャップ13に露出するので、ロータコア12における補助磁石32の磁束による鉄損の発生が抑制される。これにより、回転電機100のトルク効率の低下をより防止することが可能となる。
 また、本実施形態では、主磁石31のロータ2の径方向断面は四角形状であり、その外周を取り囲む4つの辺のうち、ステータ1に対向する第1の辺31aと、第1の辺31aの両端にそれぞれ隣接する第2の辺31b及び第3の辺31cとが、エアギャップ13に露出する。
 この構成では、主磁石31がエアギャップ13に露出する表面積が増加することにより、ロータ2の回転によりエアギャップ13を循環する空気によって、主磁石31を効果的に冷却することが可能になる。
 また、本実施形態では、補助磁石32は、ステータ1に対向する辺32aが、主磁石31の径方向中心と主磁石31のステータ1と対向する側とは反対側の辺31dとの間に位置するように配置される。
 この構成では、隣接する主磁石31と主磁石31との間に確実に補助磁石32が配置されることで、磁極中心となる主磁石31の磁束をステータ1側へと偏向させる作用を維持したまま、補助磁石32をステータ1から離間させて配置させることができる。これにより、ステータ1に発生する鉄損を減少させることができ、鉄損による回転電機100のトルク効率の低下を防止することが可能となる。
 また、本実施形態では、ステータ1のスロット数をS、ロータ2の磁石極対数をR、ステータ1の極対数をPとしたときに、S=P±Rである。
 この構成では、ロータ2が回転するときステータ1に変調した鎖交磁束が発生し、変調した鎖交磁束に同期してステータ1に磁界が発生することで、ステータ1の磁界による電気角の進角が発生し、ロータ2の磁束にこの作用が加わることにより、回転電機100のトルクを増大させることができる。
 次に、本実施形態の変形例について説明する。
 図3は、本実施形態の変形例の回転電機100の軸方向に垂直な断面図である。
 この変形例の回転電機100は、ロータ2をステータ1の外周側に配置したアウターロータ型のモータとして構成される。
 より具体的には、図3に示すように、回転電機100は、円環形状のステータ1と、ステータ1と同心円状で、ステータ1との間にエアギャップ13を有してステータ1の外周に配置されるロータ2と、ロータ2の内周側で、エアギャップ13を介してステータ1と対峙する面に配置される永久磁石3とを備える。永久磁石3は、主磁石31と補助磁石32とからなる。主磁石31と補助磁石32とは、ハルバッハ配列に従って周方向に交互に配置される。
 図3に示す変形例では、ロータ2は、主磁石31とステータ1の内周面(ティース8の先端面)との距離(エアギャップ13)に対して、補助磁石32とステータ1の内周面(ティース8の先端面)との距離が大きくなるように構成されている。すなわち、補助磁石32の内面がエアギャップ13から後退した位置となるように配置されている。
 このように、本実施形態の変形例では、ロータ2がステータ1の外径側に配置されるアウターロータとして構成される。アウターロータ型の回転電機100として構成した場合においても、補助磁石32をステータ1から離間させて配置することで、前述したように、補助磁石32からステータ1側に鎖交する磁束が減少するので、ステータ1に発生する鉄損を減少させることができる。これにより、回転電機100のトルク効率の低下を防止することが可能となる。
 図4は、本実施形態の別の変形例の回転電機100の軸方向に垂直な断面図である。
 図4に示す変形例の回転電機100は、図1の構成と類似しているが、補助磁石32の外周に非磁性体部材40を備える点で異なる。
 より詳しくは、図4に示すように、隣り合う主磁石31と、これら主磁石31の間に位置する補助磁石32とによって画成される空間に、非磁性体部材40を充填した。非磁性体部材40は、樹脂により構成される例えば熱可塑性の接着剤からなる。
 このように、この変形例では、隣り合う主磁石31と、これら主磁石31の間に位置する補助磁石32とによって画成される空間に、非磁性体部材40が配置されるように構成した。
 このように構成することで、ロータコア12の外周に主磁石31及び補助磁石32を固定する強度を高めることが可能となる。さらに、主磁石31の表面と非磁性体部材40との表面とを面一に構成することができるので、ロータ2の外周の永久磁石3の表面がなだらかな円周面になることから、ロータ2が回転するときの空気抵抗による影響が低減される。
 図5は、本実施形態のさらに別の変形例の回転電機100の軸方向に垂直な断面図である。
 図5に示す変形例の回転電機100は、図3の構成と類似しているが、補助磁石32の外周に、図4で説明した変形例と同様に、非磁性体部材40を備える点で異なる。
 より詳しくは、図5に示すように、隣り合う主磁石31と、これら主磁石31の間に位置する補助磁石32とによって画成される空間に、前述したように非磁性体部材40を充填した。
 このように構成することで、図4で説明した変形例と同様に、ロータコア12の外周に主磁石31及び補助磁石32を固定する強度を高めることが可能となる。さらに、ロータ2の内周の永久磁石3の表面がなだらかになることから、ロータ2が回転するときの空気抵抗による影響が低減される。
 図6は、本実施形態のさらに別の変形例の回転電機100の軸方向に垂直な断面図である。
 図6に示す変形例の回転電機100は、図4の構成と類似しているが、補助磁石32の外周に備える非磁性体部材40の形状が異なる。
 より詳しくは、図4に示すように、隣り合う主磁石31と、これら主磁石31の間に位置する補助磁石32とによって画成される空間に充填された非磁性体部材40のエアギャップ13に望む側に、凹凸形状のフィン構造40aを形成した。
 この変形例では、非磁性体部材40は、エアギャップ13に臨む側に凹凸形状のフィン構造40aを有するように構成したので、ロータコア12の外周に主磁石31及び補助磁石32を固定する強度を高められると共に、非磁性体部材40の表面積が増加することにより、ロータ2の回転によりエアギャップ13を循環する空気によって、主磁石31及び補助磁石32をより効果的に冷却することができる。
 図7は、本実施形態のさらに別の変形例の回転電機100の軸方向に垂直な断面図である。
 図7に示す変形例の回転電機100は、図5の構成と類似しているが、補助磁石32の外周にしなえる非磁性体部材40の形状が、図6で説明した構成と同様である点で異なる。
 より詳しくは、図7に示すように、隣り合う主磁石31と、これら主磁石31の間に位置する補助磁石32とによって画成される空間に充填される非磁性体部材40のエアギャップ13に臨む側に、凹凸形状のフィン構造40aを形成した。
 このように構成することで、図6で説明した変形例と同様に、ロータコア12の外周に主磁石31及び補助磁石32を固定する強度を高められると共に、非磁性体部材40の表面積が増加することにより、ロータ2の回転によりエアギャップ13を循環する空気によって、主磁石31及び補助磁石32を冷却することができる。
 以上、本発明の実施形態について説明したが、上記実施形態は本発明の適用例の一部を示したに過ぎず、本発明の技術的範囲を上記実施形態の具体的構成に限定する趣旨ではない。
 本実施形態では、ロータコア12の外周側に主磁石31及び補助磁石32を固定する構成であるが、ロータコア12に、これら主磁石31及び補助磁石32を係止するような構成(例えばカギ状の爪部)を備えてもよい。
 より具体的には、図8に示すように、ロータコア12に、主磁石31の周方向の両端部分を外周側から係止する第1の爪部121と、補助磁石32の周方向の両端(又は一方の端部)を外周側から係止する第2の爪部122と、を備えるように構成してもよい。このような構成により、主磁石31と補助磁石32とを、より確実にロータコア12に固定することができる。
 なお、ロータコア12に主磁石31及び補助磁石32の形状に対応した磁石孔を回転軸方向に形成し、主磁石31及び補助磁石32を、それぞれ磁石孔に埋め込むように構成してもよい。
 また、本実施形態の主磁石31は、四角形状であるとしたが、ステータ1に対抗する辺を、ステータ1の外周面(ティース8の先端面)に対向するように円弧状に形成してもよい。

Claims (8)

  1.  スロット及び巻き線を有するステータと、永久磁石及びロータコアを有し、前記ステータとの間にエアギャップを介して配置されるロータと、を備える回転電機であって、
     前記永久磁石は、磁極が前記ロータの径方向に配向する主磁石と、前記主磁石に隣接して磁極が前記ロータの周方向に配向する補助磁石とを備え、前記主磁石及び前記補助磁石が、ハルバッハ配列に従って前記ロータコアの表面に交互に配置され、
     前記補助磁石と前記ステータとの間隔が、前記主磁石と前記ステータとの間隔よりも大きく構成される、
     回転電機。
  2.  請求項1に記載の回転電機であって、
     前記補助磁石は、前記ステータに対向する辺が前記エアギャップに露出する、
     回転電機。
  3.  請求項1に記載の回転電機であって、
     前記主磁石の前記ロータの径方向断面は四角形状であり、その外周を取り囲む4つの辺のうち、前記ステータに対向する第1の辺と、前記第1の辺の両端にそれぞれ隣接する第2の辺及び第3の辺とが、前記エアギャップに露出する、
     回転電機。
  4.  請求項1に記載の回転電機であって、
     前記補助磁石は、前記ステータに対向する辺が、前記主磁石の径方向中心と前記主磁石の前記ステータと対向する側とは反対側の辺との間に位置するように配置される、
     回転電機。
  5.  請求項1に記載の回転電機であって、
     隣り合う前記主磁石と、これら前記主磁石の間に位置する前記補助磁石とによって画成される空間に、非磁性体部材が配置される、
     回転電機。
  6.  請求項5に記載の回転電機であって、
     前記非磁性体部材は、前記エアギャップに望む側に凹凸形状のフィン構造を有する、
     回転電機。
  7.  請求項1から6のいずれか一つに記載の回転電機であって、
     前記ロータは、前記ステータの外径側に配置されるアウターロータとして構成される、
     回転電機。
  8.  請求項1に記載の回転電機であって、
     前記ステータのスロット数をS、前記ロータの磁石極対数をR、前記ステータの極対数をPとしたときに、S=P±Rである、
     回転電機。
