Description

電力変換装置及び空気調和機の室外機
 本開示は、商用電源から供給される交流電力を整流した後に交流電流力に変換して出力する電力変換装置及びこれを備えた空気調和機の室外機に関する。
 従来、商用電源から供給される交流電力を整流した後に交流電力に変換して出力する電力変換装置において、商用電源から供給される交流電流を整流する整流部によって整流された電力を平滑化するために、平滑コンデンサが用いられる。
 特許文献1には、平滑コンデンサに大きな電流が流れることを抑制することにより、平滑コンデンサの劣化を抑えた電力変換装置が開示されている。

 しかしながら、上記特許文献1に開示される電力変換装置では、モータを有する装置に対するインバータからの出力に、平滑コンデンサに流入する電力の脈動に応じた脈動を含ませることによってコンデンサの電流を抑制している。このため、上記特許文献1に開示される電力変換装置では、インバータの出力が増加傾向となり、平滑コンデンサのコンデンサ負荷の大きさに関わらず損失が増加するため、省エネルギー性能が低下してしまうという問題があった。
 本開示は、上記に鑑みてなされたものであって、平滑コンデンサの劣化を抑えるとともに、省エネルギー性能の低下を抑制した電力変換装置を得ることを目的とする。
 上述した課題を解決し、目的を達成するために、本開示に係る電力変換装置は、商用電源から供給される第1の交流電力を整流する整流部と、整流部の出力端に接続されるコンデンサと、コンデンサの両端に接続され、整流部及びコンデンサから出力される電力を第2の交流電力に変換し、モータを有する負荷に出力するインバータと、整流部からコンデンサに流入する電力の脈動に応じた脈動を含む第2の交流電力をインバータから負荷に出力するようにインバータの動作を制御することにより、コンデンサに流れる電流を抑制するコンデンサ負荷抑制制御を行う制御部と、を備える。制御部は、コンデンサにおけるコンデンサ負荷を推定し、コンデンサ負荷の推定値に基づいて、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を行うか否かを決定する。
 本開示に係る電力変換装置は、平滑コンデンサの劣化を抑えるとともに、省エネルギー性能の低下を抑制できるという効果を奏する。

 以下に、実施の形態に係る電力変換装置及び空気調和機の室外機を図面に基づいて詳細に説明する。
実施の形態1.
 図1は、実施の形態1に係る電力変換装置の構成を示す図である。電力変換装置1は、商用電源110と圧縮機315との間に接続される。電力変換装置1は、商用電源110から供給される電源電圧Vsの第1の交流電力を第2の交流電力に変換し、圧縮機315に供給する。第2の交流電力は、振幅及び位相の少なくとも一方が第1の交流電力とは異なってもよいし、振幅及び位相の両方が第1の交流電力と同じであってもよい。
 電力変換装置1は、電圧電流検出部501と、リアクトル120と、整流部130と、電圧検出部502と、平滑部200と、インバータ310と、電流検出部313a,313bと、制御部400とを備える。圧縮機315は、電力変換装置1から電力が供給される圧縮機駆動用のモータ314を備えた負荷となる装置である。圧縮機315が備えるモータ314と、電力変換装置1とは、モータ駆動装置2を構成している。
 電圧電流検出部501は、商用電源110から供給される第1の交流電力の電圧値及び電流値を検出し、検出した電圧値及び電流値を制御部400に出力する。なお、第1の交流電力の電圧は、電源電圧Vsである。リアクトル120は、電圧電流検出部501と整流部130との間に接続される。整流部130は、整流素子131,132,133,134によって構成されるブリッジ回路を有する。整流部130は、商用電源110から供給される第1の交流電力を整流して出力する。実施の形態1に係る電力変換装置1において、整流部130は、全波整流を行う。電圧検出部502は、整流部130によって整流された電力の電圧値を検出し、検出した電圧値を制御部400に出力する。平滑部200は、電圧検出部502を介して整流部130の出力端に接続される。平滑部200は、平滑素子であるコンデンサ210を有し、整流部130によって整流された電力を平滑化する。コンデンサ210は、例えば、電解コンデンサ、フィルムコンデンサなどである。コンデンサ210は、整流部130によって整流された電力を平滑化する容量を有し、平滑化によりコンデンサ210に発生する電圧は商用電源110の全波整流波形形状ではなく、直流成分に商用電源110の周波数に応じた電圧リプルが重畳した波形形状となり、大きく脈動しない。この電圧リプルの周波数は、商用電源110が単相の場合は電源電圧Vsの周波数の2倍成分となり、商用電源110が三相の場合は6倍成分が主成分となる。商用電源110から入力される電力とインバータ310から出力される電力とが変化しない場合、この電圧リプルの振幅はコンデンサ210の容量によって決まる。例えば、平滑化によりコンデンサ210に発生する電圧は、コンデンサ210に発生する電圧リプルの最大値が最小値の2倍未満となるような範囲で脈動している。
 インバータ310は、平滑部200が備えるコンデンサ210の両端に接続される。インバータ310は、スイッチング素子311a,311b,311c,311d,311e,311f及び還流ダイオード312a,312b,312c,312d,312e,312fを有する。インバータ310は、制御部400の制御によってスイッチング素子311a,311b,311c,311d,311e,311fをオンオフし、整流部130及び平滑部200から出力される電力を第2の交流電力に変換した上で圧縮機315に出力する。電流検出部313a,313bの各々は、インバータ310から出力される3相の電流のうちの1相の電流値を検出し、検出した電流値を制御部400に出力する。なお、制御部400は、インバータ310から出力される3相の電流値のうちの2相の電流値を取得することで、インバータ310から出力される残りの1相の電流値を算出することができる。モータ314は、インバータ310から供給される第2の交流電力の振幅及び位相に応じて回転し、圧縮動作を行う。例えば、圧縮機315が空気調和機などで使用される密閉型圧縮機の場合、圧縮機315の負荷トルクは定トルク負荷とみなせる場合が多い。
 なお、電力変換装置1において、図1に示す各構成要素の配置は一例であり、各構成要請の配置は図1に示した例に限定されない。例えば、リアクトル120は、整流部130の後段に配置されてもよい。以降の説明において、電圧電流検出部501、電圧検出部502及び電流検出部313a,313bをまとめて検出部と称することがある。また、電圧電流検出部501で検出された電圧値及び電流値、電圧検出部502で検出された電圧値、並びに電流検出部313a,313bで検出された電流値を、検出値と称することがある。
 制御部400は、電圧電流検出部501から第1の交流電力の電圧値及び電流値を取得し、電圧検出部502から整流部130によって整流された電力の電圧値を取得し、電流検出部313a,313bからインバータ310によって変換された振幅及び位相を有する第2の交流電力の電流値を取得する。制御部400は、各検出部によって検出された検出値を用いて、インバータ310の動作、具体的には、インバータ310が有するスイッチング素子311a,311b,311c,311d,311e,311fのオンオフを制御する。本実施の形態において、制御部400は、整流部130から平滑部200のコンデンサ210に流入する電力の脈動に応じた脈動を含む第2の交流電力をインバータ310から負荷である圧縮機315に出力するようにインバータ310の動作を制御する。平滑部200のコンデンサ210に流入する電力の脈動に応じた脈動とは、例えば、平滑部200のコンデンサ210に流入する電力の脈動の周波数などによって変動する脈動である。これにより、制御部400は、平滑部200のコンデンサ210に流れる電流を抑制する。なお、制御部400は、各検出部から取得した全ての検出値を用いなくてもよく、一部の検出値を用いて制御を行ってもよい。
 コンデンサ210における電荷の移動量であるコンデンサ負荷と、コンデンサ210に印加される電圧の変動量との間には相関関係があることが知られている。このため、制御部400は、コンデンサ210の両端電圧の直流成分を除去し、交流成分を抽出することにより、コンデンサ210に印加される電圧の変動量を検知し、コンデンサ負荷を推定する。制御部400は、コンデンサ負荷の推定値を基づいて、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を実施するか否かを判断する。なお、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御については後述する。
 つづいて、電力変換装置1が備える制御部400の動作について説明する。実施の形態1に係る電力変換装置1において、インバータ310及び圧縮機315によって発生する負荷が一定の負荷とみなすことができ、平滑部200から出力される電流で見た場合に、平滑部200に定電流負荷が接続されているものとして、以降の説明を行う。ここで、図1に示すように、整流部130から流れる電流を電流I1とし、インバータ310に流れる電流を電流I2とし、平滑部200から流れる電流を電流I3とする。電流I2は、電流I1と電流I3とを合わせた電流となる。電流I3は、電流I2と電流I1との差分、すなわち電流I2-電流I1と表すことができる。電流I3は、平滑部200の放電方向を正方向とし、平滑部200の充電方向を負方向とする。すなわち、平滑部200には、電流が流入することもあり、電流が流出することもある。
 図2は、実施の形態1に係る電力変換装置の制御部が整流部から出力される電流を平滑部で平滑化し、インバータに流れる電流を一定にした場合の各電流及び平滑部のコンデンサのコンデンサ電圧の例を示す図である。図2の紙面において上から順に、電流I1、電流I2、電流I3及びコンデンサ電圧Vdcを示している。なお、コンデンサ電圧Vdcは、電流I3に応じて発生するコンデンサ210の電圧である。電流I1,I2,I3の縦軸は電流値を示し、コンデンサ電圧Vdcの縦軸は電圧値を示している。横軸は全て時間tを示している。なお、電流I2,I3には、実際にはインバータ310のキャリア成分が重畳されるが、ここでは省略する。以降についても同様とする。図2に示すように、電力変換装置1において、仮に、整流部130から流れる電流I1が平滑部200によって十分に平滑化された場合、インバータ310に流れる電流I2は一定の電流値となる。しかしながら、平滑部200のコンデンサ210には、大きな電流I3が流れ、劣化の要因となる。そのため、本実施の形態では、電力変換装置1において、制御部400は、平滑部200に流れる電流I3を低減するように、インバータ310に流れる電流I2を制御、すなわちインバータ310の動作を制御する。
 図3は、実施の形態1に係る電力変換装置の制御部がインバータの動作を制御して平滑部に流れる電流を低減したときの各電流及び平滑部のコンデンサのコンデンサ電圧の例を示す図である。図3の紙面において上から順に、電流I1、電流I2、電流I3及びコンデンサ電圧Vdcを示している。なお、コンデンサ電圧Vdcは、電流I3に応じて発生するコンデンサ210の電圧である。電流I1,I2,I3の縦軸は電流値を示し、コンデンサ電圧Vdcの縦軸は電圧値を示している。横軸は全て時間tを示している。電力変換装置1の制御部400は、図3に示すような電流I2がインバータ310に流れるようにインバータ310の動作を制御することによって、図2の例と比較して、整流部130から平滑部200に流れ込む電流の周波数成分を低減し、平滑部200に流れる電流I3を低減することができる。具体的には、制御部400は、電流I1の周波数成分を主成分とした脈動電流を含む電流I2がインバータ310に流れるようにインバータ310の動作を制御する。
 電流I1の周波数成分は、商用電源110から供給される交流電流の周波数、及び整流部130の構成によって決定される。そのため、制御部400は、電流I2に重畳する脈動電流の周波数成分を、予め定めた振幅及び位相を有する成分とすることができる。電流I2に重畳される脈動電流の周波数成分は、電流I1の周波数成分の相似波形となる。制御部400は、電流I2に重畳する脈動電流の周波数成分を電流I1の周波数成分に近付けていくに連れて、平滑部200に流れる電流I3を低減し、コンデンサ電圧Vdcに発生する脈動電圧を低減することができる。
 制御部400が、インバータ310の動作を制御することによってインバータ310に流れる電流の脈動を制御することは、インバータ310から圧縮機315に出力される第1の交流電力の脈動を制御することと同じである。制御部400は、インバータ310から出力される第2の交流電力に含まれる脈動が、整流部130から出力される電力の脈動よりも小さくなるようにインバータ310の動作を制御する。制御部400は、コンデンサ電圧Vdcの電圧リプル、すなわちコンデンサ210に発生する電圧リプルが、インバータ310から出力される第2の交流電力にコンデンサ210に流入する電力の脈動に応じた脈動が含まれないときのコンデンサ210に発生する電圧リプルよりも小さくなるように、インバータ310から出力される第2の交流電力に含まれる脈動の振幅及び位相を制御する。または、制御部400は、コンデンサ210に流出入する電流リプルが、インバータ310から出力される第2の交流電力にコンデンサ210に流入する電力の脈動に応じた脈動が含まれないときのコンデンサ210に発生する電流リプルよりも小さくなるように、インバータ310から出力される第2の交流電力に含まれる脈動の振幅及び位相を制御する。インバータ310から出力される第2の交流電力にコンデンサ210に流入する電力の脈動に応じた脈動が含まれないときとは、図2に示すような制御のことである。
 なお、商用電源110から供給される交流電流については、特に限定されず、単相であってもよいし、3相であってもよい。制御部400は、電流I2に重畳する脈動電流の周波数成分について、商用電源110から供給される第1の交流電力に応じて決定すればよい。具体的には、制御部400は、インバータ310に流れる電流I2の脈動波形を、商用電源110から供給される第1の交流電力が単相の場合は第1の交流電力の周波数の2倍の周波数成分、又は商用電源110から供給される第1の交流電力が3相の場合は第1の交流電力の周波数の6倍の周波数成分を主成分とする脈動波形に直流分を加算した形状に制御する。脈動波形は、例えば、正弦波の絶対値の形状、又は正弦波の形状とする。この場合、制御部400は、正弦波の周波数の整数倍の成分のうち少なくとも1つの周波数成分を予め規定された振幅として脈動波形に加算してもよい。また、脈動波形は、矩形波の形状、又は三角波の形状であってもよい。この場合、制御部400は、脈動波形の振幅及び位相を予め規定された値としてもよい。
 制御部400は、コンデンサ210にかかる電圧又はコンデンサ210に流れる電流を用いて、インバータ310から出力される第2の交流電力に含まれる脈動の脈動量を演算してもよいし、商用電源110から供給される第1の交流電力の電圧又は電流を用いて、インバータ310から出力される第2の交流電力に含まれる脈動の脈動量を演算してもよい。
 制御部400の動作を、フローチャートを用いて説明する。図4は、実施の形態1に係る電力変換装置が備える制御部の動作を示すフローチャートである。ステップS1において、制御部400は、電力変換装置1の各検出部から検出値を取得する。ステップS2において、制御部400は、コンデンサ負荷を推定する。ステップS3において、制御部400は、コンデンサ負荷を抑制する必要があるか否かを判断する。制御部400がコンデンサ負荷を抑制する必要があると判断した場合は、ステップS3でYesとなり、ステップS4において、制御部400は、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を実施する。すなわち、制御部400は、第2の交流電力をインバータ310から負荷に出力する際に、コンデンサ210に流入する電力の脈動に応じた脈動を含ませる。なお、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を既に実施中の場合は、制御部400は、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を継続する。一方、制御部400がコンデンサ負荷を抑制する必要がないと判断した場合、ステップS3でNoとなり、ステップS5において、制御部400はコンデンサ負荷抑制制御を非実施とする。すなわち、制御部400は、第2の交流電力をインバータ310から負荷に出力する際に、コンデンサ210に流入する電力の脈動に応じた脈動を含ませない。なお、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を既に非実施である場合は、制御部400は、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御の非実施を継続する。
 つづいて、電力変換装置1が備える制御部400のハードウェア構成について説明する。図5は、実施の形態1に係る電力変換装置が備える制御部を実現するハードウェア構成の一例を示す図である。制御部400は、各種処理を実行するプロセッサ91と、メインメモリであるメモリ92と、情報を記憶する記憶装置93とによって実現される。
 プロセッサ91は、演算装置、マイクロプロセッサ、マイクロコンピュータ、CPU(Central Processing Unit)、又はDSP(Digital Signal Processor)といった演算手段であってもよい。また、メモリ92には、RAM(Random Access Memory)、ROM(Read Only Memory)、フラッシュメモリ、EPROM(Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory)、EEPROM(登録商標)(Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory)といった不揮発性又は揮発性の半導体メモリを用いることができる。記憶装置93には、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御処理を実行するためのプログラムが格納されている。プロセッサ91は、記憶装置93に格納されているプログラムをメモリ92に読み出して実行する。プロセッサ91が記憶装置93に格納されているプログラムをメモリ92に読み出して実行することにより、制御部400の機能が実現される。
 以上説明したように、実施の形態1に係る電力変換装置1において、制御部400は、各検出部から取得した検出値に基づいてインバータ310の動作を制御し、インバータ310に流れる電流I2に、整流部130から流れる電流I1の周波数成分に応じた周波数成分の脈動を重畳することで、平滑部200に流れる電流I3を低減する。これにより、電力変換装置1は、平滑部200に流れる電流I3が低減することによって、実施の形態1の制御を行わない場合と比較して、リプル電流耐量の小さなコンデンサの使用が可能となる。また、電力変換装置1は、コンデンサ電圧Vdcの脈動電圧が低下することによって、実施の形態1の制御を行わない場合と比較して、搭載するコンデンサ210の容量を小さくすることができる。電力変換装置1は、例えば、複数のコンデンサ210で平滑部200を構成していた場合、平滑部200を構成するコンデンサ210の本数を低減することができる。
 また、制御部400は、コンデンサ負荷を推定し、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を実施するか否かをコンデンサ負荷の推定値に基づいて決定するため、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を行わない場合のコンデンサ210の劣化が許容範囲内である場合に、コンデンサ負荷抑制のためにコンデンサ電流を低減させることにより損失が生じることを防止することができる。
実施の形態2.
 図6は、実施の形態2に係る電力変換装置の構成を示す図である。実施の形態2に係る電力変換装置1は、第1の電流検出部601及び第2の電流検出部602を備える点で実施の形態1に係る電力変換装置1と相違する。第1の電流検出部601は、整流部130に設置されている。すなわち、第1の電流検出部601は、コンデンサ210よりも商用電源110側に設置されている。第2の電流検出部602は、インバータ310間に設置されている。すなわち、第2の電流検出部602は、コンデンサ210よりも負荷である圧縮機315側に設置されている。制御部400は、第1の電流検出部601が検出した電流値と第2の電流検出部602が検出した電流値との差から、コンデンサ210に流れる電流を算出し、コンデンサ負荷を推定する。
 実施の形態2に係る電力変換装置1は、第1の電流検出部601が検出した電流値と第2の電流検出部602が検出した電流値との差に基づいて算出されるコンデンサ210に流れる電流に基づいてコンデンサ負荷を推定するため、実施の形態1に係る電力変換装置1と比較すると、コンデンサ負荷をより正確に推定することができる。したがって、実施の形態2に係る電力変換装置1は、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を実施する必要があるか否かをより正確に判断することができるため、コンデンサ210の劣化を抑制することができる。
 なお、第1の電流検出部601及び第2の電流検出部602は、モータ制御と、昇圧回路の制御及び保護とを目的として、電力変換装置1に設置されることが一般的であるため、モータ制御と、昇圧回路の制御及び保護とのために設置される第1の電流検出部601及び第2の電流検出部602を用いてコンデンサ負荷を推定することで、コンデンサ負荷の推定のために新たに第1の電流検出部601及び第2の電流検出部602を追加する必要をなくすことができる。
実施の形態3.
 図7は、実施の形態3に係る電力変換装置の構成を示す図である。実施の形態3に係る電力変換装置1は、第1の電圧検出回路701及び第2の電圧検出回路702を備える点で、実施の形態2に係る電力変換装置1と相違する。第1の電圧検出回路701は、リアクトル120と整流部130との間に設置されている。すなわち、第1の電圧検出回路701は、コンデンサ210よりも商用電源110側に設置されている。第2の電圧検出回路702は、平滑部200とインバータ310との間に設置されている。すなわち、第2の電圧検出回路702は、コンデンサ210よりも負荷である圧縮機315側に設置されている。
 制御部400は、第1の電流検出部601が検出した電流値及び第1の電圧検出回路701が検出した電圧値から、第1の電力値を算出する。したがって、第1の電流検出部601及び第1の電圧検出回路701は、第1の電力検出部801を形成している。また、制御部400は、第2の電流検出部602が検出した電流値及び第2の電圧検出回路702が検出した電圧値から第2の電力値を算出する。したがって、第2の電流検出部602及び第2の電圧検出回路702は、第2の電力検出部802を検出している。第1の電力検出部801は、コンデンサ210よりも商用電源110側に設置されており、第2の電力検出部802は、コンデンサ210よりも負荷である圧縮機315側に設置されている。
 制御部400は、第1の電力値及び第2の電力値に基づいてコンデンサ210での消費電力を算出し、コンデンサ負荷を推定する。
 実施の形態3に係る電力変換装置1は、第1の電流検出部601が検出した電流値及び第1の電圧検出回路701が検出した電圧値から算出した第1の電力値と、第2の電流検出部602が検出した電流値及び第2の電圧検出回路702が検出した電圧値から算出した第2の電力値とに基づいてコンデンサ210での消費電力を算出し、コンデンサ負荷を推定するため、実施の形態2に係る電力変換装置1と比較すると、コンデンサ負荷をより正確に推定することができる。
実施の形態4.
 実施の形態4に係る電力変換装置1の回路構成は、実施の形態1に係る電力変換装置1と同様である。実施の形態4において、電力変換装置1から電力供給を受けるモータ314を備えた負荷である圧縮機315は、空気調和機の室外機に適用され、冷媒回路を流れる冷媒を圧縮する。実施の形態4において、圧縮機315を備える空気調和機は、消費電力が異なる複数の運転モードのうちのいずれかで運転される。実施の形態4に係る電力変換装置1は、空気調和機の運転モードに合わせてコンデンサ負荷抑制制御を実施するか否かを切り替える。ここでは、空気調和機が通常運転モードと省エネルギー運転モードとのいずれかの運転モードで運転されるものとし、制御部400は、空気調和機の運転モードが通常運転モードである場合にコンデンサ負荷抑制制御を実施し、空気調和機の運転モードが省エネルギー運転モードである場合にコンデンサ負荷抑制制御を非実施にするものとする。
 図8は、実施の形態4に係る電力変換装置の動作を示す図である。図8において、モード切替信号は空気調和機の運転モードを切り替える信号であり、ハイレベルが通常運転モードに対応し、ローレベルが省エネルギー運転モードに対応している。時刻t10において、モード切替信号はハイレベルであり、空気調和機は通常運転モードで動作している。このため、時刻t10において制御部400は、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を実施している。時刻t11において、制御部400がモード切替信号をハイレベルからローレベルに変化させることにより、空気調和機は通常運転モードから省エネルギー運転モードに切り替わる。このため、時刻t11において、制御部400は、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を非実施とする。制御部400がコンデンサ負荷抑制制御を非実施とすることにより、時刻t11においてコンデンサ負荷抑制制御量が減少し始める。コンデンサ負荷抑制制御量が減少することにより、コンデンサ負荷は増加するが、モータ314の損失が改善されるため、コンデンサ210の入力電力は減少する。時刻t12において、制御部400がモード切替信号をローレベルからハイレベルに変化させることにより、空気調和機は省エネルギー運転モードから通常運転モードに切り替わる。このため、時刻t12において、制御部400はコンデンサ負荷抑制制御を開始し、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御量が増大し始める。コンデンサ負荷抑制制御量が増大することにより、コンデンサ負荷は減少し、コンデンサ210の入力電力は増大する。空気調和機の冷媒回路に対するモータ314の仕事量は、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御量によって変化しないため、空気調和機の空調能力は、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御量によらず一定となる。
 実施の形態4に係る電力変換装置1は、空気調和機の運転モードに合わせてコンデンサ抑制制御を行うか否かを切り替えるため、コンデンサ210の入力電力が小さくコンデンサ負荷抑制制御を実施しなくてもコンデンサ負荷を小さく抑えることができる場合には、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を非実施とすることにより、モータ314での損失を抑え、省エネルギー性能を向上させることができる。
実施の形態5.
 実施の形態5に係る電力変換装置1の回路構成は、実施の形態1に係る電力変換装置1と同様である。実施の形態5に係る電力変換装置1は、コンデンサ負荷が予め設定されたコンデンサ負荷上限閾値を超えたらコンデンサ負荷抑制制御を開始し、コンデンサ負荷が予め設定されたコンデンサ負荷下限閾値以下になったらコンデンサ負荷抑制制御を停止する。
 図9は、実施の形態5に係る電力変換装置の動作を示す図である。実施の形態5では、電力変換装置1は、コンデンサ負荷がコンデンサ負荷上限閾値を超えてコンデンサ負荷抑制制御を開始した後、コンデンサ負荷がコンデンサ負荷下限閾値以下になるまでは入力電力又はコンデンサ負荷の増減に合わせてコンデンサ負荷抑制制御量を増減させる。時刻t20において、制御部400は、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を実施している。時刻t21において、制御部400は、空気調和機の空調能力を低下させる。これにより、コンデンサ210の入力電力は減少し、コンデンサ負荷も低下する。時刻t22において、コンデンサ負荷がコンデンサ負荷下限閾値以下となる。これにより、制御部400は、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を非実施とする。コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を非実施とすることにともない、コンデンサ負荷が増大する。時刻t23及び時刻t24において、コンデンサ負荷は、コンデンサ負荷上限閾値を超えていないため、制御部400は、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御の非実施を継続する。時刻t25において、コンデンサ負荷がコンデンサ負荷上限閾値を上回る。このため、制御部400は、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を実施し、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御量が増大し始める。コンデンサ負荷抑制制御量が増大することにより、コンデンサ負荷は減少し、コンデンサ210の入力電力は増大する。時刻t26及び時刻t27において、コンデンサ負荷はコンデンサ負荷下限閾値以下となっていないため、制御部400は、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御の実施を継続する。
 実施の形態5に係る電力変換装置1は、コンデンサ負荷が低い場合には、コンデンサ負荷抑制よりも性能を優先する運転に切り替えることができ、省エネルギー性を改善できる。
 なお、実施の形態1から実施の形態5においては、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を実施するか否かを切り替えているが、コンデンサ負荷の目標値とする閾値を予め設定しておき、目標値とする閾値とコンデンサ負荷との差分に応じてコンデンサ負荷抑制制御量を連続的に変化させてもよい。インバータ310から負荷に出力する脈動量を含ませるか、含ませないかではなく、インバータ310からの出力に含める脈動量を連続的に調整することによって、空気調和機の寿命と空調性能のバランスとをとって空気調和機を運転することができる。
実施の形態6.
 実施の形態6に係る電力変換装置1の回路構成は、実施の形態1に係る電力変換装置1と同様である。図10は、実施の形態6に係る電力変換装置の動作を示す図である。実施の形態6に係る電力変換装置1は、コンデンサ負荷を目標負荷量以下とするために、必要となるコンデンサ負荷を抑制する制御の制御量が予め決められたコンデンサ負荷抑制制御量閾値以下となった場合に、コンデンサ負荷を抑制する制御を停止し、コンデンサ負荷の推定値が予め決められたコンデンサ負荷閾値を超える場合に、コンデンサ負荷を抑制する制御の出力を再開する。
 時刻t30において、制御部400は、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を実施しており、コンデンサ負荷は目標負荷量に維持されている。時刻t31において、制御部400は、空気調和機の空調能力を低下させ始める。このため、時刻t31から、空調能力の低下に合わせてコンデンサ負荷抑制制御量も低下する。時刻t32において、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御量が予め決められたコンデンサ負荷抑制制御量閾値以下となる。このため、制御部400は、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を停止する。したがって、時刻t32において、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御量は0まで減少する。コンデンサ負荷抑制制御量が減少することにより、コンデンサ負荷は増加するが、モータ314の損失が改善されるため、コンデンサ210の入力電力は減少する。時刻t33及び時刻t34において、コンデンサ負荷は、予め決められたコンデンサ負荷閾値を超えていないため、制御部400は、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を停止した状態を継続する。時刻t35において、コンデンサ負荷が予め決められたコンデンサ負荷閾値を超えたため、制御部400は、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を再開し、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御量が増大する。コンデンサ負荷抑制制御量が増大することにより、コンデンサ負荷は目標負荷量まで減少し、コンデンサ210の入力電力は増大する。時刻t36において、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御量は、予め決められたコンデンサ負荷抑制制御量閾値以下になっていないため、制御部400は、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を継続する。
 実施の形態6に係る電力変換装置1は、コンデンサ負荷が予め決められたコンデンサ負荷閾値を超えて大きくならないように制御しつつ、一定値以下となる場合には、コンデンサ負荷が一定値まで悪化することを許容し、制御量を必要最低限の量とすることによって、コンデンサ負荷が低い運転状態での省エネルギー性を改善できる。
実施の形態7.
 実施の形態7に係る電力変換装置1の回路構成は、実施の形態1に係る電力変換装置1と同様である。実施の形態7に係る電力変換装置1は、コンデンサ負荷から推定されるコンデンサ210の寿命が予め設定した期間を下回らないようにコンデンサ負荷抑制制御量を連続的に変化させる。
 コンデンサの寿命は、アレニウスの法則に従うことが知られている。このため、コンデンサの寿命は、一般には、コンデンサのスペックによって決まる定数に加えて、コンデンサの周囲温度と、コンデンサへの印加電圧と、コンデンサの発熱に起因するコンデンサ電流量とから求めることができる。コンデンサ210の周囲温度は、一例として空気調和機で検出している外気温度を基にして、事前評価等で確認している外気温度とコンデンサ210の周囲温度との温度差を加算することで求めることができる。コンデンサ210への印加電圧は、電圧検出部502の検出値から求めることができる。コンデンサ電流の電流量は、コンデンサ印加電圧の変動量から求めることもできるし、系統電源電流量とモータ電流量との差分から求めることもできる。
 実施の形態7に係る電力変換装置1は、コンデンサ210の寿命が予め設定した期間を下回らないと推定される場合にはコンデンサ負荷抑制制御を実施せず、コンデンサ210の寿命が予め設定した期間を下回ると推定される場合にのみコンデンサ負荷抑制制御を実施する。したがって、コンデンサ210の寿命が予め設定した期間を下回らないと予測される場合には、コンデンサ210の寿命が予め設定した期間までは短くなることを許容してコンデンサ負荷抑制制御を非実施とすることにより、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を行うことによる省エネルギー性の低下を抑えることができる。これにより、実施の形態7に係る電力変換装置1は、省エネルギー性の低下を抑えつつ、コンデンサ210の寿命を予め設定した期間以上に確保することができる。
実施の形態8.
 実施の形態8に係る電力変換装置1の回路構成は、実施の形態2に係る電力変換装置1と同様である。実施の形態8に係る電力変換装置1において、制御部400は、コンデンサ電流を周波数成分ごとに分解し、電源電圧Vsの2倍の周波数成分、又は、電源電圧Vsの整数倍の成分の各々の二乗和のルートが、予め決められた一定値以上大きくならないようにコンデンサ負荷抑制制御の制御量を変更する。さらに、制御部400は、電源電圧Vsの2倍の周波数成分、又は、電源電圧Vsの整数倍の成分の各々の二乗和のルートが、予め決められた一定値以下となる場合には、電源電圧Vsの2倍の周波数成分、又は、電源電圧Vsの整数倍の成分の各々の二乗和のルートが、予め決められた一定値までは増大することを許容し、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御量を必要最低限の量とする。
 コンデンサ210に流れる電流が複数の周波数成分を含むリプル電流である場合、リプル電流Iは、下記式(1)によって算出される。下記式(1)において、Iは、規定周波数におけるリプル電流の実効値[Ams]であり、IX1からIXNは、各周波数におけるリプル電流の実効値[Ams]であり、KからKは、各周波数における周波数補正係数である。上記の各周波数成分における周波数補正係数は、コンデンサ210として適用されるコンデンサ部品ごとに異なるため、制御部400は、コンデンサ210として適用するコンデンサ部品の部品仕様についての情報を予め記憶している。

 図11は、実施の形態8に係る電力変換装置のコンデンサ電流とコンデンサ負荷抑制制御量との関係の一例を示す図である。制御部400は、バンドパスフィルタ401,402によってコンデンサ電流を電源電圧Vsの2倍の周波数成分と、電源電圧Vsの2倍の周波数成分の整数倍の成分とに分解する。電源電圧Vsの2倍の周波数成分の整数倍の成分とは、例えば、電源電圧Vsの4倍の周波数成分である。そして、制御部400は、除算器403によって電源電圧Vsの2倍の周波数成分を周波数補正係数で除算し、除算器404によって電源電圧Vsの2倍の周波数成分の整数倍の成分を周波数補正係数で除算する。そして、制御部400は、周波数補正係数で除算した電源電圧Vsの2倍の周波数成分と、周波数補正経緯数で除算した電源電圧Vsの2倍の周波数成分の整数倍の成分との各々の二乗和のルートを加算器405で算出する。そして、制御部400は、加算器405の算出結果である合算値と予め設定された閾値との差分を減算器406で算出し、減算器406の算出結果に基づいてコンデンサ負荷抑制制御量を変更する。なお、減算器406での処理で用いる加算器405が算出する合算値は、瞬間値ではなく予め設定した時間の平均値を用いることで、コンデンサ負荷抑制制御量が頻繁に変更されることを抑制することができる。
 実施の形態8に係る電力変換装置1は、コンデンサ電流に含まれる複数の周波数成分のうち、制御によってコンデンサ負荷の抑制が効率的である電源電圧Vsの2倍の周波数成分、又は電源電圧Vsの2倍の周波数成分及びその整数倍の成分の各々の二乗和のルートの大きさに基づいて制御量を可変とすることによって、制御による抑制が効率的ではないその他の周波数成分に起因してトータルでのコンデンサ負荷が増加してしまう際に、コンデンサ電流が一定値以上にならないようするための制御量が急増し省エネルギー性が損なわれてしまうことを防ぐことができる。
 なお、上記の説明においては、コンデンサ電流を電源電圧Vsの2倍の周波数成分と電源電圧Vsの2倍の周波数成分の整数倍の成分とに分解したが、コンデンサ電流を電源電圧Vsの整数倍の周波数成分に分解しても良い。また、コンデンサ電流を電源電圧Vsの整数倍の周波数成分と圧縮機315の回転速度の周波数成分とに分解してもよいし、コンデンサ電流を電源電圧Vsの整数倍の周波数成分とインバータ310又はコンバータの制御周期の2倍の周波数成分とに分解してもよい。また、コンデンサ電流を、電源電圧Vsの整数倍の周波数成分、圧縮機315の回転速度の周波数成分及びインバータ310又はコンバータの制御周期の2倍の周波数成分の少なくとも一つとに分解してもよい。
実施の形態9.
 図12は、実施の形態9に係る空気調和機の室外機の構成を示す図である。実施の形態9に係る空気調和機の室外機900は、実施の形態1から実施の形態8のいずれかに係る電力変換装置1を備える。
 空気調和機の室外機900は、実施の形態1から実施の形態8において示したモータ314を内蔵した圧縮機315と、四方弁902と、室内熱交換器906と、膨張弁908と、室外熱交換器910とが冷媒配管912を介して取り付けられている。
 圧縮機315の内部には、冷媒を圧縮する圧縮機構904と、圧縮機構904を動作させるモータ314とが設けられている。
 室外機900は、四方弁902の切替動作により暖房運転又は冷房運転をすることができる。圧縮機構904は、可変速制御されるモータ314によって駆動される。
 暖房運転時には、実線矢印で示すように、冷媒が圧縮機構904で加圧されて送り出され、四方弁902、室内熱交換器906、膨張弁908、室外熱交換器910及び四方弁902を通って圧縮機構904に戻る。
 冷房運転時には、破線矢印で示すように、冷媒が圧縮機構904で加圧されて送り出され、四方弁902、室外熱交換器910、膨張弁908、室内熱交換器906及び四方弁902を通って圧縮機構904に戻る。
 暖房運転時には、室内熱交換器906が凝縮器として作用して熱放出を行い、室外熱交換器910が蒸発器として作用して熱吸収を行う。冷房運転時には、室外熱交換器910が凝縮器として作用して熱放出を行い、室内熱交換器906が蒸発器として作用し、熱吸収を行う。膨張弁908は、冷媒を減圧して膨張させる。
 以上の実施の形態に示した構成は、内容の一例を示すものであり、別の公知の技術と組み合わせることも可能であるし、要旨を逸脱しない範囲で、構成の一部を省略、変更することも可能である。

Claims (11)

  1.  商用電源から供給される第1の交流電力を整流する整流部と、
     前記整流部の出力端に接続されるコンデンサと、
     前記コンデンサの両端に接続され、前記整流部及び前記コンデンサから出力される電力を第2の交流電力に変換し、モータを有する負荷に出力するインバータと、
     前記整流部から前記コンデンサに流入する電力の脈動に応じた脈動を含む前記第2の交流電力を前記インバータから前記負荷に出力するように前記インバータの動作を制御することにより、前記コンデンサに流れる電流を抑制するコンデンサ負荷抑制制御を行う制御部と、
     を備え、
     前記制御部は、前記コンデンサにおけるコンデンサ負荷を推定し、前記コンデンサ負荷の推定値に基づいて、前記コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を行うか否かを決定する電力変換装置。
  2.  前記コンデンサの両端電圧を検出する手段を備える、請求項1に記載の電力変換装置。
  3.  前記コンデンサよりも前記商用電源側に設置された第1の電流検出部と、前記コンデンサよりも前記負荷側に設置された第2の電流検出部とを備え、
     前記制御部は、前記第1の電流検出部の検出値及び前記第2の電流検出部の検出値に基づいて前記コンデンサ負荷を推定する請求項1又は2に記載の電力変換装置。
  4.  前記制御部は、コンデンサ電流を周波数成分ごとに分解し、少なくとも電源電圧周波数の2倍の周波数成分、又は、前記電源電圧周波数の整数倍の成分の各々の二乗和のルートの大きさが予め決められた一定値以上の場合は、前記コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を行い、少なくとも前記電源電圧周波数の2倍の周波数成分、又は、前記電源電圧周波数の整数倍の成分の各々の二乗和のルートの大きさが予め決められた一定値未満の場合は、前記コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を停止する請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の電力変換装置。
  5.  前記コンデンサよりも前記商用電源側に設置された第1の電力推定部と、前記コンデンサよりも前記負荷側に設置された第2の電力推定部とを備え、
     前記制御部は、前記第1の電力推定部の推定値及び前記第2の電力推定部の推定値に基づいて前記コンデンサ負荷を推定する請求項1又は2に記載の電力変換装置。
  6.  前記制御部は、
     前記負荷の運転モードに応じて、前記コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を行うか否かを切り替える、請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の電力変換装置。
  7.  前記制御部は、前記コンデンサ負荷が予め設定されたコンデンサ負荷上限閾値を超えたら前記コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を開始し、前記コンデンサ負荷が予め設定されたコンデンサ負荷下限閾値以下になったら前記コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を停止する請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の電力変換装置。
  8.  前記制御部は、前記コンデンサ負荷抑制制御において、前記コンデンサに流入する電力の脈動に応じた脈動量を連続的に調整する請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の電力変換装置。
  9.  前記制御部は、前記コンデンサ負荷が予め設定されたコンデンサ負荷閾値を超えたら前記コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を開始し、前記コンデンサ負荷抑制制御によるコンデンサ負荷抑制制御量が、予め設定されたコンデンサ負荷抑制制御量閾値以下となったら、前記コンデンサ負荷抑制制御を停止し、
     前記コンデンサ負荷の推定値が、予め決められた目標負荷量以下となるように、前記コンデンサ負荷抑制制御において前記コンデンサに流入する電力の脈動に応じた必要最低限の脈動量を連続的に調整する請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の電力変換装置。
  10.  前記制御部は、前記コンデンサ負荷から推定される前記コンデンサの寿命が予め決められた期間以上となるように、前記コンデンサ負荷抑制制御において前記コンデンサに流入する電力の脈動に応じた必要最低限の脈動量を連続的に調整する請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の電力変換装置。
  11.  請求項1から10のいずれか1項に記載の電力変換装置を備えた空気調和機の室外機。
