Definitions
- the invention relates to lures and baits for fish and to a process for their preparation.
- bodies creates a hard skin on the surface of the bait, through which the fish begins to smell the quality ingredients contained inside only after a few hours after the ingredients have seeped to the surface through the skin.
- the preparation of bodies is time and production consuming. Bodies are recommended to soak in water before fishing, e.g. for a day.
- pellets Another industrially produced lure and bait are pellets.
- the life of pellets in the water is usually shorter than in the case of bodies, a few- hours are enough to dissolve them, depending on the water temperature.
- Pellets are used more for luring than as a bait precisely because of their rapid dissolution in the water.
- Particle baits grout, rapeseed, boiled rapeseed, hemp, cereals, tiger nut, boiled hemp, various seeds and cereals are also used as lure for feeding fish when they are thrown raw or treated directly into the water to fire fish.
- These are mainly miniature lures. Their liny particles are very' attractive to fish and will quickly attract them, but due to their miniature dimensions, they cannot be used as a bait for hook-mounted fishing.
- the purpose of the present invention is to present small particles attractive to the fish in one unit, e.g. the shape of a ball, a roller, and others, when a cluster of seeds and other small particles on the surface of a lure or bait becomes attractive to the fish, when this cluster immediately and gradually releases aromatic, oily and other mixtures irresistible to the fish.
- these tiny particles are maximally used as admixtures in doughs, pellets, bodies, etc. but from these baits, the necessary smells and aromas are released only very slowly, and therefore the effect of attracting fish is lengthy and inefficient.
- the well-known feeder and feeding mixtures are also used as lures, which mixtures also contain tiny particles whose releasing aromas attract fish, but these liny particles can also not be attached to a hook as a bite.
- baits whose surface is made up of small particles around the entire perimeter or on the entire surface, such as rapeseed, hemp, chia seed, chopped tiger nuts, grout, chopped or grated bodies or pellets or other granular particles.
- the disadvantage of so far known baits is also their demanding and expensive production, which does not guarantee the necessary result of fast fish attraction and quick catches.
- the object of the present invention was to create a lure and a bait which are provided with small seeds and other small particles attractive to fish on their surface.
- the object of the present invention is to create a fish lure and bait which contains miniature particles on the surface of the bait so that, when thrown into the water, they remain there and immediately and at the same time gradually release aromas, and so that during casting the rod into the water, a part of the tiny particles constantly remains on the separate bait and a pan is gradually released around the bait.
- Miniature particles are made of natural and/or nature identical and/or synthetic material releasing aromas that attract fish, e.g. rapeseed, hemp, various seeds, cereals, various seeds and cereals, larvae, spawn, grains, grated boilies, couscous grout, chopped tiger nuts and other small fish delicacies.
- Another objective of the present invention was to establish a procedure for attaching tiny particles to the surface of the bait, thereby presenting the bait to the fish in a form larger than the actual size of tiny particles.
- a fish lure and bait whose principle is that it contains a carrier, the surface of which is at least partially provided with at least one attachment layer and furthermore, the surface of the carrier is at least partially provided with at least one layer of a coating material.
- a fish lure and bait whose principle is that it contains a carrier the surface of which is at least partially provided with at least one attachment layer.
- Fishing and non-fishing material shall be chosen as the carrier. Any known dough used as a fish bait shall be chosen. Preferably, a dough with a minimum water content of up to 5% shall be chosen, where the water in the dough is replaced by natural oil from seed oils, e.g, rapeseed, sunflower, hemp, etc. By replacing the water in the dough with oil, the risk of mould forming on the resulting bait is eliminated.
- the carrier also other materials can be used, such as hardened bread crusts, particle bait, corn, peas, tiger nut, extrudates, boilies, pellets or other well-known fish lures and baits as well as non-fishing materials, such as foam, polystyrene, mounting foam, paper balls, and others.
- the carrier is not essential to the fish, the fish is attracted by the aromas of the coating material, not the material from which the carrier is formed.
- the size of the carrier determines the size of the lure and bait.
- the shape of the carrier shall be selected as three-dimensional suitable as a fish lure or bait, having spherical or cylindrical shape, e.g. a ball, a roller as well as other shapes, e.g. a cube, a prism, etc.
- the attachment layer with which at least a pari or all of the surface of the carrier is provided serves to attach small particles of the coating material to the surface of the carrier.
- the attachment layer is sticky, tacky, slimy.
- the attachment layer is of natural and/or nature-identical and/or synthetic material; any material which enables to attach the required small particles of the coating material to the selected carrier material shall be used.
- the heat-treated mill product shall be used, e.g. flour, coarse flour, semolina, cereal flour, rice flour, corn flour, wholegrain flour, millet grain flour, buckwheat flour, semolina flour, fruit flour, vegetable flour, and other types of flour, or oil or water-soaked seeds and others.
- One type or any combination of two or more types of material shall be used.
- hygroscopic seeds shall be used as an attachment layer, when moistened or soaked, form a slimy coating, e.g. chia seeds, flax seeds.
- the carrier provided with the attachment layer thus prepared is advantageously used as a ready-made bait. Aromas released from seeds, especially from chia or flax seeds, are very attractive to fish.
- the seeds also serve as the coating material.
- the coating material consists of tiny particles ranging in size from 0.01 mm to 15 cm.
- the coating material consists of at least one type of natural and/or nature-identical and/or synthetic material which attracts fish with its aromas, e.g. flax seeds, poppy seeds, rapeseeds, hemp, chia seeds, sprouted seeds, e.g.
- the materials mentioned are used whole or mechanically treated, e.g. chopped or ground or grated or blended or pressed or crushed, etc.
- These materials shall be used fresh or raw or heat-treated, e.g. boiled, roasted, dried.
- Any fishing or non-fishing material shall be used to form a carrier of different sizes and shapes suitable for use as fishing lure or bait, e.g. balls, rollers.
- a mass of the attachment layer shall be prepared.
- the attachment layer mass shall be prepared of natural and/or nature-identical and/or synthetic material: any material which enables to attach the required small particles of the coating material to the selected carrier material shall be used.
- a heat-treated mill product shall be prepared, e.g. semolina, cereal flour, rice flour, corn flour, wholegrain flour. millet grain flour, buckwheat flour, semolina flour, fruit flour, vegetable flour, and other types of flour.
- the mass of the attachment layer shall be prepared by moistening or soaking hygroscopic seeds which, when moistened or soaked, form a slimy coating, e.g. chia seeds, flax seeds.
- a slimy coating e.g. chia seeds, flax seeds. The warmer the liquid for moistening or soaking the seeds is used, the faster and easier the attachment layer mass will be formed.
- One type or any combination of two or more types of suitable material shall be used to prepare the mass of the attachment layer.
- the surface of the formed carrier shall be at least partially provided with at least one layer of the prepared mass of the attachment layer.
- the surface of the carrier shall be at least partially provided with another suitable material prior applying the attachment layer mass.
- Carriers which are provided with the mass of the attachment layer formed from a heat-treated mill product, e.g. semolina or similar mash, shall be coated in the mill product, preferably in coarse or semi-coarse flour, before being provided with this mass of the attachment layer.
- the carriers coated with the mill product are removed and left to stand for 1 to 60 minutes.
- the mass of the attachment layer is easier to attach to the carriers thus provided.
- the carrier formed from a material which is dry on the surface e.g. foam, polystyrene, particle bait, seeds, bodies, shall be soaked in liquid, e.g. water, for 1 s to 15 min, before it is provided with the mass of the attachment layer, for belter attachment of the mass of the attachment layer.
- liquid e.g. water
- the mass of the attachment layer is applied cold, hot, simply by inserting the carriers into the mass of the attachment layer, leaving them in the mass of the attachment layer for a certain period, of time, stirring constantly, etc.
- the carrier provided with a suitable attachment layer, e.g. by moistening or soaking hygroscopic seeds which, when moistened or soaked, form a slimy coating, e.g. chia seeds or flax seeds, is ready for immediate use as a lure or a bait. It is no longer necessary to provide the carrier thus prepared with a coating material.
- the surface of the bait is already provided with attractive seeds, the aromas of which attract fish.
- the carrier provided with the mass of the attachment layer shall be provided 'with the coating material, e.g. by rolling the carrier in the coating material , sprinkling the coating material, spreading the carrier with the coating material, inserting the carrier into the coating material.
- the coating material is formed by small particles that adhere to the carrier provided with the attachment laver.
- the coating material shall be provided to the carrier bearing the mass of the attachment layer immediately or it is allowed to mature or dry, is stored and the coating material is applied right before its use .for fishing.
- the advantage is that the fisherman himself applies the coating material that is most attractive for the species of the fish being caught. At the same time, according to the number of layers applied, they choose the size of the bait according to the type of the fish being caught.
- the carrier provided with the coating material is allowed to mature or dry depending on the type of coating material used.
- a drying device shall be used for drying.
- At least one type of the coating material shall be used or any combination of coating material types and combinations of differently treated coating materials shall be used.
- the coating material For each type of the coating material, its treatment, mechanical and/or thermal, shall be chosen in order to secure the coating material as best as possible to the carrier using the mass of the attachment layer.
- fish-attractive additives e.g. colorants, flavourings, minerals, oils, amino acids, nutrients and. other enhancers, are added to the mass of the attachment layer and/or to the coating material prior to attachment to the carrier.
- the bait thus created is ready to be set on a hook, when the bait is set on a so-called snell hook rig or impaled on a hook.
- a fishing drill shall be used.
- a ready-made bait is provided with another at least one attachment layer, and is provided with at least one layer of the coating material of the same or different kind or any combination thereof. T his applies additional layers of the coating material as appropriate.
- I'he release time of small particles from the bait in the water is adjusted by the type and the density of the mass of the attachment layer used. The denser the mass of the attachment layer, the more slowly the tiny particles of the coating material are released.
- the attachment layer of a different density is used to provide for each layer of the coating material.
- a floating or non-floating bait is prepared.
- a nonfloating bait e.g. a dense dough or a particle bait shall be used.
- floating bait e.g. poly styrene or foam shall be used.
- the lure and bait according to the described procedure is a great attraction for the fish because after immersion in the water small particles are gradually released from the coating material of the bait, and aromas, oils, minerals are released along with them, and an aromatic cloud gradually forms around the bait, which cloud is irresistible for fish.
- the coating material itself cannot be set on a hook or a snell hook rig when fishing, it cannot be used as a separate bait; the described procedure allows small particles of the coating material to be attached to the surface of the carrier and thus use attractive materials for fish as a bait.
- the fish bait thus prepared is also used, as a fish lure without further modifications when the ready-made baits are transported to the fishing site to attract the fish.
- Tiny particles of the coating material are commonly used as a lure for fish. These are very small particles that alone cannot be attached to a hook as a bait. Using the procedure mentioned, these tiny particles, which have been used exclusively as a lure, can also be used, as a fish bait.
- the advantage of the invention is that the bait is prepared in the required size according to the type and the size of fish being caught.
- the size of rapeseed is 1 mm
- a bait of up to 10 cm is prepared by successively applying individual layers of rapeseed.
- bait according to the above-described invention is prepared as floating or non-floating by the appropriate choice of the carrier material.
- the bait according to the described invention is prepared in any colour.
- the colour is chosen according to the type and the quality of the water where the fishing takes place. In turbid and muddy waters, baits of contrasting or distinctive colours are chosen, e.g. white, yellow.
- the bait can be adapted to the type of the fish being caught.
- the coating material shall be chosen according to what attracts the fish species the most.
- Another advantage of the described invention is that the surface treatment of the bait remains glued to the bait for at least one cast of the rod into the water (the rod is usually re-casted after 3 hours) and is released gradually around the bait. A certain amount of tiny particles remains on the surface of the bait, a part of the surface treatment is released spontaneously and gradually from the carrier and the bait itself.
- the purpose of this is that the fish recognize the released aromas, oils and other essences and ingredients from the surface treatment of the bait, come to the bait and suck the bait with the above-described surface treatment also with the loose particles from the carrier, thinking that they are sucking up a large tangle and a cluster of seeds, grouts, etc.
- This bait is so attractive to fish due to the aromas and other substances being released from the surface that when using the described bait in fishing, the catches from fish are much more frequent than for until now used baits, even for trophy pieces. Using the bait described will increase the number of fish caught by both sport fishermen and industrial fishery.
- the bait according to the described invention prepared using the described procedure, consists of expensi ve ingredients only on the surface or a part thereof, which ingredients are mechanically modified, e.g.. grated, chopped, etc. According to the given procedure, up to 90% less expensive ingredients are used to prepare the bait. For example, from the appropriate volume of the material used for the production of previously known bodies or pellets, up to 10 times more baits are prepared using the above described procedure because the expensive material is attached only on their surface. The amount of baits formed by the described procedure depends on the selection of the attachment layer, the type of the coating material and the number of layers of the coating material.
- the aromas and oils contained in the material must first penetrate the skin on the surface of the bait, the release of aromas and oils is slow, but in the case of the described bait, when grated or chopped parts of bodies or pellets are used as the surface layer, this eliminates the disadvantage of slow releasing through the skin, and the attractive aromas and oils begin to be released immediately and soon after being thrown into the water.
- a fish lure and bait comprising a carrier formed from well-known fishing dough shaped into a ball.
- the entire surface of the carrier is provided with an attachment layer.
- the attachment layer is formed from chia seeds soaked in the water, and the surface of the carrier is farther provided with a coating material formed from peeled whole raw hemp seeds.
- the fish lure and bait comprising a carrier formed from a known extrudate that is cylindrical in shape.
- the entire surface of the carrier is provided with an attachment layer.
- the attachment layer is formed from chia seeds soaked in the water, and the surface of the carrier is further provided with a coating material formed from a mixture of raw untreated seeds containing sesame, flaxseed, sunflower.
- a spherical carrier is formed from foam, a mass of the attachment layer is prepared, 1 pari of chia seeds is poured over with 3 pails of boiling water and allowed to stand until a slimy lubricant mass is formed, the entire surface of the carrier is provided with the mass of the attachment layer, the entire surface of the carrier provided with the mass of the prepared attachment layer is immediately provided with the coating material, in this example, the realization of a 1 :1 mixture of whole dried hemp seeds and rape seeds, the carrier provided with the mass of the attachment layer is rolled around in the coating material: after removal from the coating material, it is allowed to mature at 20°C for 24 hours.
- a large corn seed is used as the carrier.
- semolina mash is prepared. Stirring constantly, semolina is added to the boiling milk, is boiled for at least 1 minute until the mass stops increasing its volume or thickens any more, it thickens only by evaporating the milk during cooking.
- the carrier is coated in flour to better hold the mass of the attachment layer, the carrier coated in flour is placed into the boiling semolina mash; by stirring occasionally, the carrier is cooked for 2 seconds to 10 minutes, depending on the size of the corn seed. This provides the carrier with a slimy mass of the attachment layer.
- the carrier provided with the mass of the attachment layer is immediately provided with the coating material, grated bodies in this example of realization, over the entire surface. In the coating material, grated boilies, the carrier provided with the mass of the attachment layer is rolled around; after removal from the coating material, it is left to mature at 20°C for 24 hours.
- Dog pellet is used as the carrier.
- mash is prepared. Stirring constantly, coarse flour is added to the boiling water, is boiled for at least I minute, until the mass stops increasing its volume or thickens any more, it thickens only by evaporating the water during cooking.
- the carrier is coated in flour to better hold the mass of the attachment layer, the carrier coated in flour is placed into the boiling mash; by stirring occasionally, the carrier is cooked for 2 seconds to 10 minutes, depending on the size of the dog pellet. This provides the carrier with a slimy mass of the attachment layer.
- the carrier provided with the mass of the attachment layer is immediately provided with the coating material, grout mixture in this example of realization, over the entire surface.
- the carrier provided with the attachment layer is rolled around in a grout mixture; after removal from the coating material, It Is left to mature for 24 hours at 20°C.
- the proposed invention will be used as a fish bait for both sport and leisure fishing. It will also be used as a lure when feeding fish.
- the bait will play a role in the places where industrial net fishing is not permitted.
- the bait will also be appreciated by fishermen who do not hold a licence in certain licensed fishing spots and are therefore only reliant on rod fishing.
