Abstract
本発明の一態様は、固形油分、液状油分及び粉末を含有する油性粒子が、水相中に分散された水中油型乳化組成物であって、前記固形油分は、50℃以上の融点を有する天然由来のロウ類からなり、前記液状油分は、極性油及び分岐構造を有する炭化水素油を含み、前記炭化水素油に対する前記ロウ類の質量比は、0.01~10である。
Description
本発明は、水中油型乳化組成物に関する。
水相中に油性粒子が分散した水中油型乳化組成物は、肌表面を油膜で被覆することで水分の蒸散を防ぎ、肌を乾燥から保護し、肌に保湿効果等を付与することができるため、様々な化粧料に適用されている。水中油型乳化組成物には、目的とする品質特性を得るために、多種に亘る成分が配合されている。
例えば、特許文献1には、脂肪酸石鹸と、シリコーン油と、バチルアルコールと、水膨潤性粘土鉱物とを含む、水中油型メイクアップ化粧料が開示されている。また、水中油型メイクアップ化粧料は、水相と油相を含み、油相は、例えば、動物油、植物油、及び合成油等の起源及び、固形、半固形油、液体油の性状を問わず、炭化水素、ロウ等を含むことができることが記載されている。
近年、ナチュラル志向の高まりから、天然由来の成分を含む水中油型乳化組成物が求められている。しかしながら、天然由来の固形油分は、不純物が多く含まれており、多くの合成系の固形油分と比較して、油相を構成する他の成分に溶解することが困難であり、析出物が生じる場合がある。
本発明の一態様は、天然由来の固形油分を含み、天然由来の固形油分を油相に良好に溶解することができる水中油型乳化組成物を提供することを目的とする。
本発明の一態様は、固形油分、液状油分及び粉末を含有する油性粒子が、水相中に分散された水中油型乳化組成物であって、前記固形油分は、50℃以上の融点を有する天然由来のロウ類からなり、前記液状油分は、極性油及び分岐構造を有する炭化水素油を含み、前記炭化水素油に対する前記ロウ類の質量比は、0.01~10である。
本発明の一態様に係る水中油型乳化組成物は、天然由来の固形油分を含み、天然由来の固形油分を油相に良好に溶解することができる。
以下、本発明の実施の形態について、詳細に説明する。なお、実施形態は以下の記述によって限定されるものではなく、本発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲において適宜変更可能である。また、本明細書において数値範囲を示す「~」は、別段の断りがない限り、その前後に記載された数値を下限値及び上限値として含むことを意味する。
本実施形態に係る水中油型乳化組成物は、固形油分、液状油分及び粉末を含有する油性粒子が、水相中に分散されている。即ち、油相は、固形油分、液状油分及び粉末を含有する。また、固形油分は、50℃以上の融点を有する天然由来のロウ類からなり、液状油分は、極性油及び分岐構造を有する炭化水素油を含み、炭化水素油に対するロウ類の質量比は、0.01~10である。なお、本明細書において、「固形油分」とは、常温(25℃)で固体又は半固体の油分を意味し、「液状油分」とは、常温(25℃)で液体の油分を意味する。
この構成により、水中油型乳化組成物は、天然由来の固形油分を含みつつ、天然由来の固形油分に由来する析出物を抑制し、天然由来の固形油分を油相に良好に溶解することができる。
油性粒子の平均粒子径は、50μm~10mmであってよい。油性粒子の平均粒子径が、50μm~10mmであることにより、水中油型乳化組成物は、皮膚に適用された際、使用者に、みずみずしくさっぱりした感触があり、時間をおくとしっとりした感触となるといった使用感を与えることができる。また、水中油型乳化組成物は、水相に目視可能な大きさの油性粒子が分散しているために、使用者に美感を与えることができる。
以下に本実施形態の水中油型乳化組成物を構成する各成分について詳述する。
固形油分は、50℃以上の融点を有する天然由来のロウ類からなる。50℃以上の融点を有する天然由来のロウ類としては、例えば、カルナウバロウ(融点:82~86℃)、キャンデリラロウ(融点:68~72℃)、ミツロウ(融点:62~65℃)、コメヌカロウ(融点:70~83℃)等が挙げられる。これらの固形油分は、1種単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を組合せて用いてもよい。
固形油分が、50℃以上の融点を有する天然由来のロウ類からなることにより、油性粒子の外側に天然由来のロウ類からなる皮膜が形成され、油性粒子同士の付着を抑制することができる。よって、水相中に油性粒子を安定して分散させることができる。天然由来のロウ類の融点は、60℃以上であることが好ましい。
50℃以上の融点を有する天然由来のロウ類は、キャンデリラロウ又はカルナウバロウであることが好ましい。ロウ類が、キャンデリラロウ又はカルナウバロウであることにより、天然由来の固形油分を油相に、より良好に溶解することができる。また、油性粒子を適度な硬さにすることができるため、水中油型乳化組成物は、皮膚に適用された際、使用者に、肌が厚く保護されているといった使用感を与えることができる。
50℃以上の融点を有する天然由来のロウ類の含有量は、水中油型乳化組成物に対して、0.01質量%~5質量%であることが好ましく、0.1質量%~3質量%であることがより好ましく、0.3質量%~2質量%であることがさらに好ましい。50℃以上の融点を有する天然由来のロウ類の含有量が、水中油型乳化組成物に対して、0.01質量%~5質量%であることにより、天然由来の固形油分を油相に、より良好に溶解することができる。
炭化水素油に対する、50℃以上の融点を有する天然由来のロウ類の質量比は、0.05~2であることがより好ましく、0.1~1であることがさらに好ましい。炭化水素油に対する、50℃以上の融点を有する天然由来のロウ類の質量比が、0.01~10であることにより、天然由来の固形油分を油相に、より良好に溶解することができる。
液状油分は、極性油及び分岐構造を有する炭化水素油を含む。極性油は、化粧料等に通常配合されている極性油であればよく、特に限定されない。極性油としては、例えば、セバシン酸ジイソプロピル、テトラエチルヘキサン酸ペンタエリスリチル、エチルヘキサン酸セチル、ホホバ油、ラウロイルグルタミン酸ジ(フィトステリル/オクチルドデシル)、トリイソステアリン、ジイソステアリン酸グリセリル、トリエチルヘキサノイン、ダイマージリノール酸(フィトステリル/ベヘニル)、ダイマージリノール酸(フィトステリル/イソステアリル/セチル/ステアリル/イソステアリル/セチル/ステアリル/ベヘニル)、パルミチン酸イソプロピル、マカダミアナッツ脂肪酸フィトステリル、テトラ(ベヘン酸/安息香酸/エチルヘキサン酸)ペンタエリスリチル、パルミチン酸エチルヘキシル、ミリスチン酸ミリスチル、ミリスチン酸イソプロピル、ジピバリン酸トリプロピレングリコール、ネオペンタン酸イソデシル等が挙げられる。
極性油の含有量は、水中油型乳化組成物に対する炭化水素油の含有量と同等以下であることが好ましい。極性油の含有量が、水中油型乳化組成物に対する炭化水素油の含有量と同等以下であることにより、天然由来の固形油分を油相に、良好に溶解することができる。同時に、油性粒子を適度な硬さにすることができるため、水中油型乳化組成物は、良好な使用性を発揮することができる。また、油性粒子の形成性及び安定性を向上させることができる。
分岐構造を有する炭化水素油としては、例えば、スクワラン、水添ポリイソブテン、水添ポリデセン、イソヘキサデカン等が挙げられる。スクワランとしては、動物性スクワラン、植物性スクワラン等の天然由来のスクワラン、及び合成スクワランを含む。
分岐構造を有する炭化水素油の炭素数は、10~40であることが好ましい。分岐構造を有する炭化水素油の炭素数が、10~40であることにより、天然由来の固形油分を油相に、より良好に溶解することができる。また、油性粒子の強度を向上させることができ、油性粒子を水相に安定に分散させることができる。さらに、水中油型乳化組成物は、皮膚に適用された際、使用者に、肌なじみが良いといった使用感を与えることができる。
分岐構造を有する炭化水素油は、天然由来のスクワランであることが好ましい。これにより、水中油型乳化組成物は、天然由来の固形油分及び天然由来の液状油分を含み、天然由来の固形油分を油相に、良好に溶解することができる。
分岐構造を有する炭化水素油の含有量は、水中油型乳化組成物に対して、0.01質量%~10質量%であることが好ましく、0.5質量%~5質量%であることがより好ましく、0.1質量%~3質量%であることがさらに好ましい。分岐構造を有する炭化水素油の含有量が、水中油型乳化組成物に対して、0.01質量%~10質量%であることにより、天然由来の固形油分を油相に、より良好に溶解することができる。
液状油分は、極性油及び炭化水素油の他、微量のシリコーン油を含んでいてもよい。シリコーン油としては、例えば、ジメチルポリシロキサン(ジメチコン)、メチルフェニルポリシロキサン(フェニルメチコン)、メチルハイドロジェンポリシロキサン等の鎖状シリコーン、デカメチルシクロペンタシロキサン、ドデカメチルシクロヘキサシロキサン等の環状シリコーン、アミノ変性シリコーン油、ポリエーテル変性シリコーン油、カルボキシ変性シリコーン油、アルキル変性シリコーン油、アンモニウム塩変性シリコーン油、フッ素変性シリコーン油の変性シリコーン等が挙げられる。
液状油分は、微量のシリコーン油を含む場合、シリコーン油の含有量は、水中油型乳化組成物に対して、5質量%以下であることが好ましく、3質量%以下であることがより好ましく、2質量%以下であることがさらに好ましく、1質量%以下であることがさらに好ましく、0.1質量%以下であることがさらに好ましく、液状油分は、シリコーン油を含まないことが特に好ましい。
また、シリコーン油の含有量は、固形油分及び液状油分の合計量に対して、30質量%以下であることが好ましく、20質量%以下であることがより好ましく、10質量%以下であることがさらに好ましく、液状油分は、シリコーン油を含まないことが特に好ましい。
一般的な水中油型乳化組成物は、安定性又は使用感を向上させるために、液状油分にシリコーン油を含むところ、本実施形態の水中油型乳化組成物は、液状油分にシリコーン油を含まないことにより、近年、需要が高まるシリコーンフリーの水中油型乳化組成物を提供することができる。
粉末は、油性粒子に含まれるため、疎水性粉末であればよい。疎水性粉末は、表面親水化処理をしていない疎水性の粉末、及び、疎水性物質で表面処理した疎水性又は親水性の粉末を包含する。

粉末は、アミノ酸、アミノ酸誘導体、又は、アミノ酸若しくはアミノ酸誘導体で被覆された粉末を含むことが好ましい。アミノ酸としては、例えば、グルタミン酸等が挙げられる。アミノ酸誘導体としては、例えば、ラウロイルリシン、ココイルグルタミン酸K、ココイルグリシンNa等のアミノ酸系界面活性剤等が挙げられる。アミノ酸若しくはアミノ酸誘導体で被覆された粉末としては、例えば、ジラウロイルグルタミン酸リシンNa被覆酸化鉄(赤)、ジラウロイルグルタミン酸リシンNa被覆酸化チタン、ステアロイルグルタミン酸2Na、パルミトイルグルタミン酸Mg、ココイルグルタミン酸2Na等のアミノ酸誘導体で表面処理した粉末が挙げられる。粉末は、アミノ酸、アミノ酸誘導体、又は、アミノ酸若しくはアミノ酸誘導体で被覆された粉末を含むことにより、水中油型乳化組成物は、天然由来の固形油分を油相に、より良好に溶解することができる。
アミノ酸誘導体は、ラウロイルリシンであることが好ましい。アミノ酸誘導体が、ラウロイルリシンであることにより、水中油型乳化組成物の油性粒子は、天然由来の固形油分及び天然由来の粉末を含み、天然由来の固形油分を油相に、より良好に溶解することができる。また、ラウロイルリシンは、上述した他の粉末に対して比較的、摩擦係数が小さいため、水中油型乳化組成物は、皮膚に適用された際、使用者に、滑らかでシルキーな使用感を与えることができる。
粉末の平均一次粒子径は、0.01μm~15μmであることが好ましく、0.05μm~12μmであることがより好ましく、0.1μm~10μmであることがさらに好ましい。粉末の平均一次粒子径が、0.01μm~15μmであることにより、天然由来の固形油分を油相に、より良好に溶解することができる。
粉末の含有量は、50℃以上の融点を有する天然由来のロウ類及び分岐構造を有する炭化水素油の合計量に対して、0.01質量%~30質量%であることが好ましく、0.1質量%~20質量%であることがより好ましく、0.5質量%~10質量%であることがさらに好ましい。粉末の含有量が、50℃以上の融点を有する天然由来のロウ類及び分岐構造を有する炭化水素油の合計量に対して0.01質量%~30質量%であることにより、天然由来の固形油分を油相に、より良好に溶解することができる。
粉末が紫外線散乱剤である場合、紫外線散乱剤の含有量の上限は、水中油型乳化組成物に対し、1質量%であることが好ましい。具体的には、紫外線散乱剤の含有量は、水中油型乳化組成物に対し、0.0001質量%~1質量%であることが好ましい。紫外線散乱剤の含有量の上限が、水中油型乳化組成物に対し、1質量%であることにより、天然由来の固形油分を油相に、より良好に溶解することができると共に、水中油型乳化組成物は、紫外線防止効果を発揮することができる。
水相は、一般的な水性媒体を含み、油性粒子の分散媒となる。水性媒体としては、例えば、水、エタノール等が挙げられる。水性媒体は、1種単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を組合せて用いてもよい。
水性媒体の含有量は、水中油型乳化組成物に対して、50質量%~99質量%であることが好ましく、60質量%~98質量%であることがより好ましく、70質量%~95質量%であることがさらに好ましい。
水中油型乳化組成物は、上記の必須成分に加えて、化粧料等の皮膚外用剤に配合可能な他の成分を本発明の効果を阻害しない範囲で含有していてもよい。
水中油型乳化組成物に配合可能な他の成分としては、限定されないが、水溶性増粘剤、油溶性増粘剤、アルブチン、アスコルビン酸グルコシド、トラネキサム酸、4-メトキシサリチル酸塩等の水溶性薬剤、グリセリン、ジプロピレングリコール、1,3一ブチレングリコール、プロパンジオール等の保湿剤、ジモルホリノピリダジノン等の水溶性紫外線吸収剤、エデト酸ナトリウム、水酸化カリウム等のキレート剤、クエン酸、クエン酸ナトリウム等のpH調整剤、パラベン、フェノキシエタノール等の防腐剤、色素、香料、界面活性剤等が挙げられる。
水溶性増粘剤としては、特に限定はされないが、例えば、アラビアゴム、トラガカントガム、ガラクタン、キャロブガム、グァーガム、カラヤガム、カラギーナン、ペクチン、カンテン、クインスシード(マルメロ)、アルゲコロイド(褐藻エキス)等の植物系高分子、デキストラン、サクシノグルカン、プルラン等の微生物系高分子、コラーゲン、カゼイン、アルブミン、ゼラチン等の動物系高分子、メチルセルロース、ニトロセルロース、エチルセルロース、メチルヒドロキシプロピルセルロース、ヒドロキシエチルセルロース、セルロース硫酸ナトリウム、ヒドロキシプロピルセルロース、カルボキシメチルセルロースナトリウム、結晶セルロース、セルロース末等のセルロース系高分子、アルギン酸ナトリウム、アルギン酸プロピレングリコールエステル等のアルギン酸系高分子、ポリビニルアルコール、ポリビニルメチルエーテル、ポリビニルピロリドン、カルボキシビニルポリマー、アルキル変性カルボキシビニルポリマー、等のビニル系高分子、ポリオキシエチレン系高分子、ポリオキエチレンポリオキシプロピレン共重合体系高分子、ポリアクリル酸ナトリウム、ポリエチルアクリレート、ポリアクリルアミド、(アクリロイルジメチルタウリンアンモニウム/VP)コポリマー等のアクリル系高分子、ポリエチレンイミン、カチオンポリマー、ベントナイト、ケイ酸アルミニウムマグネシウム、ラポナイト、ヘクトライト、無水ケイ酸等の無機系水溶性高分子等が挙げられる。
水溶性増粘剤として、アルキル変性カルボキシビニルポリマーは、その界面活性に基づいて油性粒子の凝集、合一を抑制する作用を発揮するので特に好適である。アルキル変性カルボキシビニルポリマーは、アクリル酸メタクリル酸アルキル共重合体((アクリレーツ/アクリル酸アルキル(C10-30))クロスポリマー)とも呼ばれ、例えば、CARBOPOL(登録商標)1342、PEMULEN(登録商標)TR-1、PEMULEN(登録商標)TR-2(BF Goodrich社製)の商品名で市販されている。
油溶性増粘剤は、油性粒子を構成する固形油分の固化力を低下させて適度な硬度になるように調整することができる。油溶性増粘剤としては、特に限定はされないが、例えば、デキストリン脂肪酸エステル、金属セッケン、親油性ベントナイト、ショ糖脂肪酸エステル、ソルビトールのベンジリデン誘導体等が挙げられる。
デキストリン脂肪酸エステルとしては、例えばデキストリンパルミチン酸エステル、キストリンオレイン酸エステル、デキストリンステアリン酸エステル等が挙げられる。
金属セッケンとしては、例えば水酸基の残存しているアルミニウムステアレート、マグネシウムステアレート、ジンクミリステート等が挙げられる。
親油性ベントナイトとしては、例えばジメチルベンジルドデシルアンモニウムモンモリロナイト、ジメチルジオクタデシルアンモニウムモンモリナイト等が挙げられる。
ショ糖脂肪酸エステルとしては、例えば8個の水酸基のうち3個以下が高級脂肪酸でエステル化され、高級脂肪酸がステアリン酸、パルミチン酸であるものが挙げられる。
ソルビトールのベンジリデン誘導体としては、例えばモノベンジリデンソルビトール、ジベンジリデンソルビトール等が挙げられる。
これらの中でも、油溶性増粘剤としては、パルミチン酸デキストリンが安定性及び使用性の観点から特に好ましく用いられる。デキストリン脂肪酸エステルは、特に限定はされないが、例えば、レオパール(登録商標)KL、レオパール(登録商標)KE(千葉製粉社製)等の商品名で市販されているものが使用できる。
水中油型乳化組成物は、例えば、以下に示す方法にて調製することができる。まず、水相成分を混合し、配合する固形油分の融点以上に加熱し、同温に加熱混合した油相成分(固形油分、液状油分、粉末を含む)を攪拌下で水相成分に添加する。このとき、本実施形態の水中油型乳化組成物では、天然由来の固形油分が油相に良好に溶解するため、均一な油相が得られる。攪拌は、10~1500rpm、好ましくは20~300rpm程度の回転数のプロペラ又はパドルミキサーを用いて行うことができる。なお、攪拌は、ホモミキサーを使用すると微細化されてしまうため好ましくない。次いで、攪拌しながら冷却することにより調製可能である。
このようにして製造される水中油型乳化組成物は、水相中に平均粒子径が50μm~10mmの油性粒子が分散されたものとなる。本実施形態の油性粒子は、内層が実質的に粉末と液状油分とからなり、その周囲を固形油分(外層)が被覆したカプセル構造を有すると考えられる。また、外層をなす固形油分が結晶化することにより、適度な硬さとなって独特の使用感触を生じる。
本発明の組成物は、界面活性剤を用いなくても上記構造の油性粒子が形成されるが、粉末が油性粒子の内部(内層)に存在し、水相と油相との界面には固形油分が存在する構造をなしている点で、油-水界面に粉末が存在するピッカリング乳化物とは明確に区別される。
本発明の水中油型乳化組成物は、化粧料の基剤として使用するのに適している。当該基剤を使用した化粧料としては、例えば、水性化粧料、ジェル化粧料、乳化化粧料等の形態が挙げられる。具体的な用途としては、化粧水、ジェル、乳液、クリーム、パック等のフェーシャル、ボディ又はヘア用の化粧料として用いることが可能である。
以下、実施例及び比較例を示して実施形態を更に具体的に説明するが、実施形態はこれらの実施例及び比較例により限定されるものではない。
表1~表5に示す組成で下記の方法により水中油型乳化組成物を調整し、得られた各水中油型乳化組成物について、下記の方法により評価を行った。
<水中油型乳化組成物の調整>
表1~表5に示す組成で、水相成分を混合して、配合する固形油分の融点以上に加熱し、同温に加熱混合した油相成分(固形油分、液状油分、粉末を含む)を攪拌下で水相成分に添加した。次いで、攪拌しながら冷却することにより各水中油型乳化組成物を得た。

調整した各水中油型乳化組成物について、水中油型乳化組成物調整時における固形油分の溶解性、及び、水中油型乳化組成物の使用感(肌へのなじみの良さ)について、以下の評価基準に基づいて評価した。
<固形油分の溶解性の評価>
水中油型乳化組成物調整時において、油相成分(固形油分、液状油分、粉末を含む)を混合した後及び加熱した後に、油相の均一性を目視で確認した。C以上を合格とし、その評価結果を表1~表5に示す。
[平均点の評価基準]
A:混合後、加熱することにより、速やかに溶解し、析出物はなく均一であった
B:混合後、加熱することにより、溶解し、析出物はなく均一であった
C:混合後、長時間加熱することにより、溶解し、析出物はなく均一であった
D:混合後、加熱しても溶解しなかった
水中油型乳化組成物調整時において、油相成分(固形油分、液状油分、粉末を含む)を混合した後及び加熱した後に、油相の均一性を目視で確認した。C以上を合格とし、その評価結果を表1~表5に示す。
[平均点の評価基準]
A:混合後、加熱することにより、速やかに溶解し、析出物はなく均一であった
B:混合後、加熱することにより、溶解し、析出物はなく均一であった
C:混合後、長時間加熱することにより、溶解し、析出物はなく均一であった
D:混合後、加熱しても溶解しなかった
<使用感の評価>
専門パネルにより実使用試験を実施し、使用感について肌へのなじみの良さの観点から以下の基準に基づいて評価した。Aを合格とし、その評価結果を表1~表5に示す。

表1~表5に示すように、実施例1~19、21~24、26~30の水中油型乳化組成物は、固形油分の溶解性及び使用感について、実使用上問題ないことを確認した。実施例20及び25の水中油型乳化組成物は、固形油分の溶解性は、実使用上問題ないが、使用感がやや劣っていた。一方、油性粒子に粉末を含まない比較例1の水中油型乳化組成物は、水中油型乳化組成物調整時において、油相成分(固形油分、液状油分、粉末を含む)を混合した後、加熱しても溶解しなかった。また、比較例1の水中油型乳化組成物は、使用感についてもやや劣っていた。
以上の通り、実施形態を説明したが、上記実施形態は、例として提示したものであり、上記実施形態により本発明が限定されるものではない。上記実施形態は、その他の様々な形態で実施されることが可能であり、発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲で、種々の組み合わせ、省略、置き換え、変更等を行うことが可能である。これら実施形態やその変形は、発明の範囲や要旨に含まれると共に、特許請求の範囲に記載された発明とその均等の範囲に含まれる。

Claims (10)
- 固形油分、液状油分及び粉末を含有する油性粒子が、水相中に分散された水中油型乳化組成物であって、
前記固形油分は、50℃以上の融点を有する天然由来のロウ類からなり、
前記液状油分は、極性油及び分岐構造を有する炭化水素油を含み、
前記炭化水素油に対する前記ロウ類の質量比は、0.01~10である水中油型乳化組成物。 - 前記粉末の含有量は、前記ロウ類及び前記炭化水素油の合計量に対して、0.01%~30%である請求項1に記載の水中油型乳化組成物。
- 前記炭化水素油の炭素数は、10~40である請求項1又は2に記載の水中油型乳化組成物。
- 前記ロウ類は、キャンデリラロウ又はカルナウバロウである請求項3に記載の水中油型乳化組成物。
- 前記粉末は、疎水性粉末である請求項4に記載の水中油型乳化組成物。
- 前記粉末は、アミノ酸、アミノ酸誘導体、又は、アミノ酸若しくはアミノ酸誘導体で被覆された粉末を含む請求項5に記載の水中油型乳化組成物。
- 前記アミノ酸誘導体は、ラウロイルリシンである請求項6に記載の水中油型乳化組成物。
- 前記液状油分は、シリコーン油を含まない請求項7に記載の水中油型乳化組成物。
- 紫外線散乱剤を含み、前記紫外線散乱剤の含有量の上限は、前記水中油型乳化組成物に対し、1質量%である請求項8に記載の水中油型乳化組成物。
- 前記油性粒子の平均粒子径は、50μm~10mmである請求項8に記載の水中油型乳化組成物。
