Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif (100) d'assistance cardiaque en cas d'insuffisance cardiaque, le dispositif comprenant : un cathéter (32) ; un arbre d'entraînement (34) disposé dans le cathéter (32) d'une manière pénétrante ; et une pompe (36) qui peut être distribuée à un emplacement souhaité dans le cœur par l'intermédiaire du cathéter (32) pour pomper le sang. La pompe comprend : un boîtier de pompe (363) relié à une extrémité distale du cathéter (32) et ayant une extrémité d'entrée (361) et une extrémité de sortie (362), ainsi qu'un impulseur logé dans le boîtier de pompe (363), l'impulseur étant entraîné par l'arbre d'entraînement (34) pour aspirer le sang dans le boîtier de pompe (363) par l'extrémité d'entrée (361) et le décharger par l'extrémité de sortie (362). Le boîtier de pompe (363) et l'impulseur sont conçus de telle sorte que la pompe (36) est dans un état comprimé lorsqu'elle est dans une configuration d'intervention pour permettre à la pompe (36), qui se trouve à l'intérieur d'un premier diamètre extérieur, d'être administrée au système vasculaire d'un patient ; et la pompe (36) est dans un état déployé lorsqu'elle est dans une configuration de fonctionnement pour permettre à la pompe (36), qui se trouve à l'intérieur d'un second diamètre externe qui est supérieur au premier diamètre externe, de pomper le sang jusqu'à un emplacement souhaité. Les performances du dispositif (100) peuvent ainsi être considérablement améliorées.
