Abstract
La présente invention aborde le problème lié à la fourniture d'un condensateur électrique à double couche pour lequel la génération de gaz en son sein est réduite comme jamais auparavant, et qui présente par conséquent une excellente résistance à la tension lorsqu'une haute tension est appliquée et ne peut pas être endommagé par une solution électrolytique et présente par conséquent une excellente fiabilité à long terme. La solution consiste porte sur un EDLC comprenant : une paire d'une électrode positive (4) et d'une électrode négative (6) ayant chacune une électrode polarisable (4b, 6b) collée sur un collecteur de courant (4a, 6a) et composée de charbon actif ; un séparateur (8) disposé entre une électrode polarisable côté électrode positive (4b) et une électrode polarisable côté électrode négative (6b) ; et une solution électrolytique (10) avec laquelle sont imprégnées l'électrode polarisable côté électrode positive (4b), l'électrode polarisable côté électrode négative (6b) et le séparateur (8). Dans l'EDLC, le rapport entre la capacité de l'électrode polarisable côté électrode négative (6b) et la capacité de l'électrode polarisable côté électrode positive (4b) est compris entre 1,0 et 1,5, la quantité de groupes fonctionnels de surface dans le charbon actif qui forme l'électrode polarisable côté électrode positive (4b) est comprise entre 0,2 et 1,5 mmol/g et la quantité de groupes fonctionnels de surface dans le charbon actif qui forme l'électrode polarisable côté électrode négative (6b) est inférieure ou égale à 0,2 mmol/g.
