Description
最初に本開示の実施態様を列挙して説明する。
以下に、本開示の実施形態について説明する。本開示はこれらの例示に限定されるものではなく、特許請求の範囲によって示され、特許請求の範囲と均等の意味および範囲内での全ての変更が含まれることが意図される。
本開示の実施形態1について、図1から図9を参照しつつ説明する。図1に示されるように、実施形態1のコネクタ10は、雌コネクタハウジング11(第1コネクタハウジングの一例)と、雌コネクタハウジング11に外嵌する雄コネクタハウジング12(第2コネクタハウジングの一例)と、を備える。以下の説明において、上下方向とは、図2における上下方向を基準とし、前後方向とは、図4における雌コネクタハウジング11と雄コネクタハウジング12との嵌合方向を基準として互いに嵌合する方向を前方とし、左右方向とは、上記した前方を基準として、前方に向かって左右方向が定義される。また、複数の同一部材については、一部の部材にのみ符号を付し、他の部材については省略する場合がある。
雄コネクタハウジング12は、絶縁性の合成樹脂材が射出成型されることにより形成される。図2に示されるように、雄コネクタハウジング12は、前方に向かって開口するフード部13を有する。雄コネクタハウジング12は略角筒状をなしている。
図5に示されるように、雌コネクタハウジング11は絶縁性の合成樹脂製である。雌コネクタハウジング11は全体として直方体状をなしている。雌コネクタハウジング11は、複数の端子収容部19を有する。実施形態1においては、左右方向に7つの端子収容部19が並ぶと共に、上下方向に2段に並んで形成されている。複数の端子収容部19のそれぞれは、雌コネクタハウジング11を前後方向に貫通して延びる空間である。各端子収容部19には、後方から雌端子20が挿入されるようになっている。端子収容部19の上面には、斜め下前方に延びるランス21が形成されている(図2参照)。
リテーナ31は、絶縁性の合成樹脂材が射出成型されることにより形成される。図6に示されるように、リテーナ31は、雌コネクタハウジング11のリテーナ装着部24に対して、矢線Bで示される方向に沿って上方から装着される、いわゆるサイドリテーナである。リテーナ31は、端子収容部19に対する雌端子20の挿抜作業を許容する仮係止位置と、雌端子20の挿抜を規制する本係止位置との間で、雌コネクタハウジング11に対して相対的に変位可能とされている。
図5に示されるように、弾性変形部35は、第1コネクタハウジングの上面に沿って、左右方向に弾性変形可能に形成されている。図7に示されるように、弾性変形部35は、右側壁34の上端部から前方に延びる右前腕部44と、右前腕部44の前端部から左方に延びる右連結部45と、右連結部45の左端部から後方に延びる右後腕部46と、左側壁33の上端部から前方に延びる左前腕部47と、左前腕部47の前端部から右方に延びる左連結部48と、左連結部48の右端部から後方に延びる左後腕部49と、右後腕部46の後端部と左後腕部49の後端部とを連結する後連結部50と、を有する。
続いて、本実施形態に係るコネクタ10の組み立て工程について説明する。図6に矢線
Bで示されるように、雌コネクタハウジング11のリテーナ装着部24に上方からリテーナ31が組み付けられる。リテーナ装着部24の係止爪42が、雌コネクタハウジング11の仮係止部25に上方から当接する。さらにリテーナ31が下方に押圧されると、係止爪42が仮係止部25に乗り上げることによってリテーナ31の左側壁33と右側壁34とが弾性変形する。さらにリテーナ31が下方に押圧されると、リテーナ31の左側壁33と右側壁34とが復帰変形し、雌コネクタハウジング11の仮係止部25に、リテーナ31の係止爪42が下方から当接する。これにより、リテーナ31が、雌コネクタハウジング11に対して上方に抜け止め状態で、仮係止位置に保持される。
続いて、本実施形態1の作用効果について説明する。実施形態に係るコネクタ10は、雌コネクタハウジング11と、雌コネクタハウジング11と嵌合方向に沿って嵌合する雄コネクタハウジング12と、を備えたコネクタ10であって、雌コネクタハウジング11は、雌コネクタハウジング11とは別体であって、雌コネクタハウジング11に取り付けられた状態で雌コネクタハウジング11の外面に沿って弾性変形する弾性変形部35を有し、雄コネクタハウジング12は、雌コネクタハウジング11と外嵌するフード部13と、フード部13の内側に設けられるとともに弾性変形部35と係合するロック部15と、を有する。
次に、本開示の実施形態2について、図10から図12を参照しつつ説明する。図10に示されるように、本実施形態に係るコネクタ60においては、雌コネクタハウジング11に装着されたリテーナ61に設けられた弾性変形部62は応力緩和部63を有する。雌コネクタハウジング11に設けられた右前突部28は上方から見て、前後方向に延びるとともに左右方向に延びるL字形状をなしている。
続いて、本開示の実施形態3に係るコネクタ70について、図13から図16を参照しつつ説明する。図13に示されるように、本実施形態に係る雌コネクタハウジング71に装着されたリテーナ74に設けられた弾性変形部75は、リテーナ74の右側壁34の上端部から前方に延びる前腕部76と、前腕部76の前端部から左方に延びる連結部77と、連結部77の左端部から後方に延びる後腕部78と、を有する。後腕部78の後端部には、左方に延びる延設部79が形成されている。延設部79の上面には階段状をなす指掛け部51が形成されている。
続いて、本開示の実施形態4について、図17から図18を参照しつつ説明する。図17に示されるように、本実施形態に係る雌コネクタハウジング90の右後突部91と、左後突部92は、前後方向に細長く延びるリブ状に形成されている。

- 第1コネクタハウジングと、第1コネクタハウジングと嵌合方向に沿って嵌合する第2コネクタハウジングと、を備えたコネクタであって、
前記第1コネクタハウジングは、前記第1コネクタハウジングとは別体であって、前記第1コネクタハウジングに取り付けられた状態で前記第1コネクタハウジングの外面に沿って弾性変形する弾性変形部を有し、
前記第2コネクタハウジングは、前記第1コネクタハウジングと外嵌するフード部と、前記フード部の内側に設けられるとともに前記弾性変形部と係合するロック部と、を有するコネクタ。 - 前記第1コネクタハウジングは、端子が収容される端子収容部と、前記端子収容部に連通するリテーナ装着部と、を有し、
前記リテーナ装着部にはリテーナが装着されるようになっており、前記リテーナは前記リテーナ装着部に装着された状態で前記端子と係合するようになっており、
前記リテーナに前記弾性変形部が設けられている請求項1に記載のコネクタ。 - 前記弾性変形部は、前記嵌合方向の前方に延びる少なくとも1つの前腕部と、前記嵌合方向の後方に延びる少なくとも1つの後腕部と、前記前腕部の端部と前記後腕部の端部とを連結する少なくとも1つの連結部と、を有し、
前記前腕部、及び前記後腕部の少なくとも一方には前記ロック部と係合するロック受け部が設けられている請求項1または請求項2に記載のコネクタ。 - 前記ロック受け部の近傍には、肉厚が他の部分よりも薄い応力緩和部が設けられている請求項3に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記第2コネクタハウジングの前記フード部の内側には前記フード部の内方に突出する係合部が設けられており、
前記第1コネクタハウジングの外面には、前記第1コネクタハウジングと前記第2コネクタハウジングとが嵌合した状態で、前記第2コネクタハウジングに向けて突出するとともに、前記第2コネクタハウジングの前記係合部と係合する被係合部が設けられている請求項1から請求項4のいずれか1項に記載のコネクタ。 - 前記弾性変形部が前記第1コネクタハウジングの外面から離れる方向の力を受けた時に、前記弾性変形部と当接する撓み規制部を有する請求項1から請求項5のいずれか1項に記載のコネクタ。
