本発明は、上述した事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、鞍乗り型車両において、簡単な構造でスロットル装置を保護できるようにすることを目的とする。
鞍乗り型車両は、吸気量を調整するスロットル装置を備える鞍乗り型車両において、物品が収納される収納ボックスが設けられ、前記収納ボックスは、車幅方向外側に開口する収納部を備える本体部と、前記本体部を車幅方向外側から覆う蓋部とを備え、前記蓋部は、前記スロットル装置を車幅方向外側から覆うことを特徴とする。
自動二輪車1は、車体フレーム10と、車体フレーム10に支持されるエンジン11と、前輪2を操舵自在に支持するフロントフォーク12と、後輪3を支持するスイングアーム13と、乗員用のシート14とを備える車両である。

ピボットフレーム17は、左側の側壁部17aの上縁17dが、シートフレーム部19における左側部材51の下縁に接合され、右側の側壁部17bの上縁が、シートフレーム部19における右側部材52の下縁に接合される。
壁部17cは、車両側面視で、後上がりに傾斜している。シートフレーム部19の下面を構成する第2の下側部材56は、壁部17cの上端に連続して後上がりに上方に延びる。
平面視では、壁部17cは、開放部64の後部を下方から覆う。
燃料タンク41は、車両前後方向に長い中空の容器である。燃料タンク41は、後側内部空間58で第2の下側部材56に沿うように配置される。
エアクリーナー38は、燃料タンク41の前下がりの上面に沿うように、燃料タンク41の前方に配置される。
バッテリー42は、エアクリーナー38の前部の上面部に支持される。
シート14は、シート14の前端部のヒンジ部(不図示)を中心に上下に回動(開閉)可能に設けられる。
エアクリーナー38に取り込まれた外気(吸気)は、エアクリーナー38内のフィルターで浄化され、コネクティングチューブ40を通ってスロットル装置39に流れる。
燃料タンク41に配置される燃料ポンプ(不図示)は、燃料ホース68によって燃料供給装置67に接続される。燃料ホース68は、後側内部空間58から外気取り込み口63を通って前方に延出し、燃料供給装置67に接続される。
スロットル装置39は、スロットルボディ70と、スロットルボディ70とシリンダー部32の吸気ポートとを接続する吸気口接続管71とを備える。
スロットルボディ70は、スロットル装置39を通る吸気量を調整するスロットルバルブ、及び、このスロットルバルブの開度を検知するセンサー等を備える。
スロットルボディ70の後端には、コネクティングチューブ40の前端が接続される。
吸気口接続管71は、スロットルボディ70の前端から前下方に延びて、シリンダー部32の上面の吸気ポートに接続される。
シリンダー部32の上面部においてスロットル装置39の近傍には、上方に延出するステー72が設けられる。ステー72は、吸気口接続管71の前方に設けられる。
また、バッテリー42に接続された電装系のメインハーネス49は、第1の下側部材55の下面に沿って車両前後方向に延びる。
収納ボックス50は、平面視では、メインチューブ18に下方から重なり、シリンダー部32に上方から重なる。
収納ボックス50は、スロットル装置39及びコネクティングチューブ40に対し前方に配置される。

蓋側後部側壁91cは、車幅方向において、後部側壁89に対向する。蓋側後部側壁91cの下部には、固定孔91dが設けられる。
本体部81、蓋部82、及びヒンジ90は、樹脂成形によって一体に形成される。ヒンジ90は、樹脂によって構成されるリビングヒンジであり、樹脂製のヒンジ90が折り曲がることでヒンジとして機能する。
ヒンジ90の回動軸90aは、上下方向に延びる。詳細には、回動軸90aは、図5及び図9に示すように、車両側面視で鉛直方向に対し前傾している。
蓋部82は、回動軸90aを中心に回動することで開閉される。蓋部82が閉じると、収納部80は、蓋部82によって車幅方向外側から覆われる。蓋部82が開くと、収納部80は、車幅方向外側に露出する。
詳細には、蓋側周壁部93は、蓋部82の前面を構成する蓋部前壁94と、蓋部82の上面を構成する蓋部上壁95と、蓋部82の下面を構成する蓋部下壁96と、蓋部82の後面を構成する蓋部後壁97とを備える。
ヒンジ90は、蓋部前壁94と前壁下部85aとを接続する。
蓋部82が閉じた状態では、蓋部前壁94の上部は、前壁上部85bの前方に位置し、車幅方向において前部側壁87に対向する。
蓋部82が閉じると、蓋部上壁95は、上壁86に合わさる。蓋部上壁95の前端部は、上壁86の前方に位置し、車幅方向において前部側壁87に対向する。
蓋部82が閉じると、蓋部下壁96の前端部は、周壁部84の下端部に合わさる。蓋部下壁96は、下側収納部80cの後方では、車幅方向において後部側壁89に対向する。
また、蓋部後壁97は、蓋部82が閉じた状態で、第1後壁部97aの前端から下方且つ後方に延びる第3後壁部97cと、第3後壁部97cの下方に設けられる開放部97dとを備える。
第1後壁部97a、第2後壁部97b及び第3後壁部97cは、蓋部82の車幅方向内側の面に設けられる。
開放部97dは、蓋部後壁97の下部に設けられる切り欠き部であり、後方に開口する。
第2後壁部97bの上部は、蓋部82が閉じた状態では、周壁部84の後端部に合わさる。
第1後壁部97a、第3後壁部97c、及び開放部97dは、下側収納部80cの後方且つ上側収納部80dの下方に位置し、車幅方向において後部側壁89に対向する。
メインチューブ18は、蓋側取付部92及び取付部88によって車幅方向の両側方から挟まれる。蓋側取付部92は、孔92aに車幅方向外側から挿通される固定具92bによって左側の固定部18a(図2)に締結される。
取付部88は、孔88aに車幅方向外側から挿通される固定具88bによって右側の固定部18aに締結される。
なお、本体部81は、後部側壁89に車幅方向外側から挿通される固定具(不図示)によってステー72に締結されても良い。
また、後部収納空間98は、下側収納部80cによって前方から覆われるとともに、上側収納部80dによって上方から覆われる。
後部収納空間98は、シリンダー部32の上方に位置するため、シリンダー部32の上面によって下方から覆われる。
すなわち、スロットル装置39及び燃料供給装置67は、本体部81の後部側壁89と蓋部82の蓋側後部側壁91cとによって車幅方向外側から覆われるとともに、下側収納部80cによって前方から覆われ、上側収納部80dによって上方から覆われる。また、スロットル装置39及び燃料供給装置67は、シリンダー部32の上面によって下方から覆われる。
このため、収納ボックス50を利用して、スロットル装置39及び燃料供給装置67を保護できる。
スロットル装置39は、蓋部82の開放部97dを通って前後に延びる。
燃料ホース68の前端部も、後部収納空間98に配置される。
また、蓋部82の蓋側後部側壁91cは、図5に示すように、車両側面視で、スロットルボディ70の前端部、吸気口接続管71、及び燃料供給装置67を左側の車幅方向外側から覆い、スロットルボディ70の前端部、吸気口接続管71、及び燃料供給装置67を保護する。
これにより、作業者等は、車幅方向外側から燃料供給装置67及びスロットル装置39にアクセスできるため、燃料供給装置67及びスロットル装置39のメンテナンス性が良い。
蓋部82が開かれた状態では、本体部81の収納部開口80aが車幅方向外側に露出する。このため、ユーザー等は、収納部開口80aから収納部80に物品等を出し入れできる。
蓋部82が開かれると、蓋部82がスロットルボディ70を覆わなくなるため、調整部70aによる調整が容易になる。
蓋部82は、ヒンジ90の回動軸90aを中心に回動し、本体部81に対し前方側に開く。すなわち、蓋部82は、スロットルボディ70に対し車両前後方向の他方側である前方側に開く。このため、蓋部82の開閉にコネクティングチューブ40が邪魔にならず、蓋部82を容易に開閉できる。
また、この状態では、第2後壁部97bは、車両側面視で、第1後壁部97aの前端から上方に延びる。
図9のように蓋部82を開いた状態では、蓋部82から取り外した固定具92b及び固定具91eを第1後壁部97a上に仮に置いておくことができる。これにより、固定具92b及び固定具91eの紛失を抑制できるとともに、固定具92b及び固定具91eへの塵埃等の付着を抑制できる。なお、第1後壁部97aは、固定具92b及び固定具91eを仮置き可能であれば、車両側面視で傾斜していても良い。
また、第1後壁部97a上に置かれた固定具92b及び固定具91eは、第2後壁部97bによって前方への移動を規制される。このため、固定具92b及び固定具91eを蓋部82内に仮置きし易い。
この構成によれば、収納ボックス50の蓋部82によってスロットル装置39を車幅方向外側から覆うため、部品点数を削減できる。このため、簡単な構造でスロットル装置39を保護できる。
この構成によれば、ヒンジ90を中心に蓋部82を開くとスロットル装置39にアクセス可能になるため、スロットル装置39のメンテナンス性が良い。また、蓋部82を開いた状態でも、ヒンジ90を介し本体部81によって蓋部82を支持しておくことができる。このため、メンテナンス性が良いとともに、蓋部82の紛失を防止できる。
また、ヒンジ90の回動軸90aは、上下方向に指向する。
この構成によれば、蓋部82はヒンジ90を中心に前後に開閉されるため、蓋部82を開けた状態において蓋部82がスロットル装置39のメンテナンスの邪魔になり難い。このため、スロットル装置39のメンテナンス性が良い。
この構成によれば、蓋部82が自重によって開いた状態に維持されるため、蓋部82がスロットル装置39のメンテナンスの邪魔になり難い。
また、スロットル装置39をエアクリーナー38に接続するコネクティングチューブ40が、スロットル装置39から車両前後方向の一方側に延び、蓋部82は、車両前後方向の他方側に開く。
この構成によれば、蓋部82を開いた状態では、コネクティングチューブ40は蓋部82の邪魔にならない。このため、蓋部82を大きく開くことができ、収納部80に物品を出し入れし易いとともに、スロットル装置39のメンテナンス性が良い。
この構成によれば、蓋部82が開いた状態で、車両前後方向に延びる第1後壁部97aに固定具92b及び固定具91e等の部品を仮置きすることができる。
また、蓋部82の車幅方向内側の面には、蓋部82が開いた状態で、車両側面視で1後壁部97aから上方に延びる第2後壁部97bが設けられる。
この構成によれば、第1後壁部97aに置かれた固定具92b及び固定具91eを、第2後壁部97bによって良好に支持できる。
この構成によれば、収納部80から後方に延出する後部側壁89によってスロットル装置39を蓋部82の反対側から覆うため、簡単な構造でスロットル装置39を保護できる。
また、蓋部82は、収納部80の収納部開口80aを車幅方向外側から覆い、収納部80は、スロットル装置39を前方から覆う。
この構成によれば、収納部80を利用して、簡単な構造でスロットル装置39を前方から保護できる。
上記実施の形態では、蓋側後部側壁91cは、車両側面視で、スロットルボディ70の前端部を覆うものとして説明したが、本発明はこれに限定されない。例えば、蓋側後部側壁91cを後方にさらに延長し、蓋側後部側壁91cによってスロットルボディ70の略全体を車幅方向外側から覆っても良い。
上記実施の形態では、自動二輪車1を例に挙げて説明したが、本発明はこれに限定されるものではなく、本発明は、前輪または後輪を2つ備える3輪の鞍乗り型車両及び4輪以上を備える鞍乗り型車両に適用可能である。
上記実施の形態は、以下の構成をサポートする。
この構成によれば、収納ボックスの蓋部によってスロットル装置を車幅方向外側から覆うため、部品点数を削減できる。このため、簡単な構造でスロットル装置を保護できる。
この構成によれば、ヒンジを中心に蓋部を開くとスロットル装置にアクセス可能になるため、スロットル装置のメンテナンス性が良い。蓋部を開いた状態でも、ヒンジを介し本体部によって蓋部を支持しておくことができる。このため、メンテナンス性が良いとともに、蓋部の紛失を防止できる。
この構成によれば、蓋部はヒンジを中心に前後に開閉されるため、蓋部を開けた状態において蓋部がスロットル装置のメンテナンスの邪魔になり難い。このため、スロットル装置のメンテナンス性が良い。
この構成によれば、蓋部が自重によって開いた状態に維持されるため、蓋部がスロットル装置のメンテナンスの邪魔になり難い。
この構成によれば、蓋部を開いた状態では、コネクティングチューブは蓋部の邪魔にならない。このため、蓋部を大きく開くことができ、収納部に物品を出し入れし易いとともに、スロットル装置のメンテナンス性が良い。
この構成によれば、蓋部が開いた状態で、略水平に延びる第1壁部に固定具等の部品を仮置きすることができる。
この構成によれば、第1壁部に置かれた部品を、第2壁部によって良好に支持できる。
この構成によれば、収納部から後方に延出する延出部によってスロットル装置を蓋部の反対側から覆うため、簡単な構造でスロットル装置を保護できる。
この構成によれば、収納部を利用して、簡単な構造でスロットル装置を前方から保護できる。

- 吸気量を調整するスロットル装置(39)を備える鞍乗り型車両において、
物品が収納される収納ボックス(50)が設けられ、
前記収納ボックス(50)は、車幅方向外側に開口する収納部(80)を備える本体部(81)と、前記本体部(81)を車幅方向外側から覆う蓋部(82)とを備え、
前記蓋部(82)は、前記スロットル装置(39)を車幅方向外側から覆うことを特徴とする鞍乗り型車両。 - 前記蓋部(82)は、ヒンジ(90)によって前記本体部(81)に回動自在に接続され、前記ヒンジ(90)を中心に開閉されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の鞍乗り型車両。
- 前記ヒンジ(90)の回動軸(90a)は、上下方向に指向することを特徴とする請求項2記載の鞍乗り型車両。
- 前記回動軸(90a)は、前記蓋部(82)が開いた状態で、前記蓋部(82)が自重によって開いた状態に維持されるように傾斜していることを特徴とする請求項3記載の鞍乗り型車両。
- 前記スロットル装置(39)をエアクリーナー(38)に接続するコネクティングチューブ(40)が、前記スロットル装置(39)から車両前後方向の一方側に延び、
前記蓋部(82)は、車両前後方向の他方側に開くことを特徴とする請求項2から4のいずれかに記載の鞍乗り型車両。 - 前記蓋部(82)の車幅方向内側の面には、前記蓋部(82)が開いた状態で、車両側面視で車両前後方向に延びる第1壁部(97a)が設けられることを特徴とする請求項2から5のいずれかに記載の鞍乗り型車両。
- 前記蓋部(82)の車幅方向内側の面には、前記蓋部(82)が開いた状態で、車両側面視で前記第1壁部から上方に延びる第2壁部(97b)が設けられることを特徴とする請求項6記載の鞍乗り型車両。
- 前記本体部(81)は、ケース状の前記収納部(80)から後方に延出する延出部(89)を備え、
前記延出部(89)は、前記蓋部(82)の反対側の車幅方向外側から前記スロットル装置(39)を覆うことを特徴とする請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の鞍乗り型車両。 - 前記蓋部(82)は、前記収納部(80)の開口(80a)を車幅方向外側から覆い、
