Definitions
- the present invention relates to toothbrushes.
- a toothbrush generally has a brush portion at one end of a grip member gripped by the user. The user inserts the brush portion into the oral cavity, touches each tooth from the front or back, and vibrates to remove dirt.
- Patent Document 1 For the purpose of automating tooth brushing and facilitating tooth brushing by the elderly, there is a demand for a toothbrush that enables easy brushing of a plurality of teeth forming a row of teeth instead of brushing each tooth individually.
- the user holds a pair of front tooth holding members by biting the upper and lower front teeth, and a tooth brushing operation unit for performing a tooth brushing operation in the movable space between the pair of front tooth holding members is driven.
- An enabled tooth brushing device is disclosed.
- Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the automatic toothpaste device described in Patent Document 1.
- the automatic toothbrushing device 10 comprises a toothbrushing action portion 16 driven by the drive unit 12, and the toothbrushing action portion 16 is provided with a plurality of brush mounting portions 28 for mounting polishing members, i.e. brushes.
- polishing members i.e. brushes.
- the toothbrushing motion unit 16 is capable of vertical motion perpendicular to the plane on which the row of teeth exists and lateral motion within the plane on which the row of teeth exists.
- the toothbrushing operation unit 16 described in Patent Document 1 is designed based on an average tooth row shape so that it can be applied to many users. According to Thomson's classification, the arch is said to be roughly divided into square, round square, round, and round V-shaped. There is Therefore, depending on the user, when the toothbrushing action unit 16 is moved in the lateral direction, the brush portion cannot be sufficiently contacted over a wide range of the tooth row. Also, the tooth row shape is different between the upper and lower sides.
- the present invention has been made in view of these problems, and is a toothbrush for performing a toothbrushing action by giving lateral movement in the plane where the tooth row exists, and is adaptable to various dental arches. It is to be.
- the "surface on which the row of teeth exists” means a plane passing through any position of each of the plurality of teeth forming the row of teeth or the vicinity thereof.
- toothbrush includes a brush member and a brush support member that supports the brush member. do.
- the toothbrushing action section 16 that is, the toothbrush, is connected to the power transmission shaft 22 of the drive unit 12 and driven. It is envisioned that a person may grip the brush support member of the toothbrush or a grip member connected to the brush support member to impart motion.
- a first aspect of the present invention provides a first brush member for brushing the buccal side or lingual side of the first row of teeth in the oral cavity; a first guide extending in the tooth row direction on the buccal side of the tooth for guiding movement of the first brush member; and a guide for directly or indirectly connecting the first guide to a drive source.
- a toothbrush comprising a connector and a first brush frame connected to said first guide for securing said first brush member, said first guide comprising a first region; and a second region having a lower modulus of rigidity than the first region.

- a fifth aspect of the present invention is the toothbrush according to the fourth aspect, wherein the first region has a bending structure that bends toward the first row of teeth.
- a sixth aspect of the present invention is the toothbrush according to any one of the first to fifth aspects, wherein the toothbrush is connected to the first region of the first guide, and is connected to the tongue of the first dentition.
- a laterally extending second guide is further provided, and the first brush frame is connected to the first guide via the second guide.
- a seventh aspect of the present invention is the toothbrush according to the sixth aspect, further comprising an extension guide connected to the first guide, wherein the extension guide extends perpendicularly or substantially perpendicularly to the tooth row direction. It has a region extending in a direction.
- An eighth aspect of the present invention is the toothbrush according to any one of the first to fifth aspects, wherein the first guide or the first brush frame for fixing the second brush member a second brush frame connected to the second brush frame extending in the dentition direction on the buccal side of the first dentition.
- a ninth aspect of the present invention is the toothbrush according to any one of the first to third aspects, wherein the toothbrush of the first row of teeth or the second row of teeth different from the first row of teeth a second brush member for brushing the lateral or lingual side and a second brush member extending in the direction of the teeth on the buccal or lingual side of the second row of teeth for guiding movement of the second brush member; further comprising: a second guide connected to said guide connector; and a second brush frame connected to said second guide for securing said second brush member.
- a tenth aspect of the present invention is the toothbrush according to any one of the first to ninth aspects, wherein the first brush frame is detachable from the first guide.
- the brush in a toothbrush for performing a toothbrushing action by imparting lateral movement in a plane in which a row of teeth lies, the brush extends in the direction of the row of teeth on the buccal side of the row of teeth.

- the attachment 230 may be integrally formed with the guide connector 222, each member referred to herein is not necessarily limited to being formed as separate parts, but multiple members may be integrally formed. Note that it is also intended to be formed in
- FIG. 3 is a diagram showing the deformation of the toothbrush that occurs when the guide connector is laterally translated.
- a series of deformations 300 viewed from the maxillary side are shown modeling a zonal-rectangular mandibular dental arch.
- the toothbrush 200 When the toothbrush 200 is inserted into the oral cavity, it changes from the unloaded state shown in FIGS. 2A and 2B to the deformed state shown at the center position. In this state, the force applied from the teeth to the brush member 210 deforms the elastic regions of the guides 221, which will be described later, so that the toothbrush 200 conforms to the dental arch.

- the brush frame 223 may be a part that can be removed from the guide 221. By doing so, when the brush member 210 fixed to the brush frame 223 wears out due to use, it can be replaced with a new one and the toothbrush 200 can be used continuously.
- the brush frame 223 may be integrally formed with the guide 221 and the guide 221 and the brush frame 223 may be detachable from the guide connector 222 .
- a plurality of members being "connected" includes the case where those members are integrally formed.
- the brush frame 223 is oriented perpendicularly or substantially perpendicularly to the tooth row direction so that when the toothbrush 200 is inserted into the oral cavity, the brush member 210 fixed to a portion thereof contacts the tooth row of the upper or lower jaw. It is preferred to have an extended region.
- the toothbrush 500 includes a first brush 210 for brushing the buccal side of one row of teeth and a first brush 510 for brushing the buccal side of the other row of teeth. More specifically, the toothbrush 500 includes a first guide 221 connected to the guide connector 222, a first brush frame 223 connected to the first guide 221, and a brush frame 223 fixed to the first brush frame 223. a first brush member 210, a second guide 521 connected to the guide connector 222; a second brush frame 523 connected to the second guide 521; and a second brush member 510 .
- the second guide 521 and the second brush frame 523 perform the same functions as the first guide 221 and the first brush frame 223, except that they target different dentitions.
- the upper and lower dental arches can be adjusted. It is possible to deform according to the difference in
- the first brush member 210 and the second brush member 510 at different positions along the direction of the row of teeth, the space in the oral cavity is effectively used and the usability of the user is improved. can be done.
