Abstract
実施形態によれば、鉄道車両用電力変換装置は、スイッチング素子と、スイッチング素子に接続されたコンデンサと、スイッチング素子に駆動信号を与えるゲート基板とを有し、コンデンサは、コンデンサ固定フレームにより固定され、ゲート基板は、コンデンサに取り付けられることで固定される。
Description
本発明は、鉄道車両用電力変換装置に関する。
鉄道車両用電力変換装置においてスイッチング素子を搭載するパワーユニット部は、スイッチング素子のほかに冷却器や導体、コンデンサやゲート基板で構成される。
スイッチング素子は、冷却器上に配置され、底面が冷却器に接触することで冷却される。
スイッチング素子の上面には、主端子およびゲート端子が設けられ、スイッチングにより生じるリプル電流を抑制するコンデンサや、スイッチング素子にゲート信号を与えるゲート基板が接続される。
スイッチング素子は、冷却器上に配置され、底面が冷却器に接触することで冷却される。
スイッチング素子の上面には、主端子およびゲート端子が設けられ、スイッチングにより生じるリプル電流を抑制するコンデンサや、スイッチング素子にゲート信号を与えるゲート基板が接続される。
近年、車両用電力変換装置に対しては、小型化の要求が為されている。スイッチング素子に関しては、ワイドバンドギャップ半導体が採用されることで、耐圧性を有することで小型化され、また、発熱面から冷却器の小型化にも寄与している。
一方で、板金をはじめとする構造部材については、大きな変更は行われておらず、構造部材の削減等を行うことで小型軽量化を行うことが可能である。

上記課題を解決するために本発明の実施形態は、ゲート基板をコンデンサに取り付けることで、構成する板金を削減して、車両用電力変換装置の小型軽量化を実現することを目的とする。
実施形態の鉄道車両用電力変換装置は、スイッチング素子と、スイッチング素子に接続されたコンデンサと、スイッチング素子に駆動信号を与えるゲート基板とを有し、コンデンサは、コンデンサ固定フレームにより固定され、ゲート基板は、コンデンサに取り付けられる。
以下、図面を参照して、本発明の実施形態について説明する。
図1は、第1実施形態の鉄道車両用電力変換装置の構成図であり、図2は、第1実施形態の鉄道車両用電力変換装置の断面図であり、図3は、第1実施形態の鉄道車両用電力変換装置の上面図である。なお、図3においては、図1に示した鉄道車両用電力変換装置が複数並んで設置された構成となっている。
鉄道車両用電力変換装置は、スイッチングモジュール1と、コンデンサ2と、導体3と、ゲート基板4と、冷却器5と、コンデンサ固定フレーム6とを有する。
図1は、第1実施形態の鉄道車両用電力変換装置の構成図であり、図2は、第1実施形態の鉄道車両用電力変換装置の断面図であり、図3は、第1実施形態の鉄道車両用電力変換装置の上面図である。なお、図3においては、図1に示した鉄道車両用電力変換装置が複数並んで設置された構成となっている。
鉄道車両用電力変換装置は、スイッチングモジュール1と、コンデンサ2と、導体3と、ゲート基板4と、冷却器5と、コンデンサ固定フレーム6とを有する。
スイッチングモジュール1は、入力された直流電力を交流電力に変換するインバータや、入力された交流電力を直流電力に変換するコンバータなどの電力変換装置を構成する。スイッチングモジュール1は、スイッチング素子と該スイッチング素子に逆並列接続されたダイオードとを含んで構成されても良く、また、電力変換装置の1相分のスイッチング素子とダイオード等を含んで構成されても良い。
コンデンサ2は、導体3を介して、スイッチングモジュール1に接続され、スイッチングモジュール1のスイッチングにより生じるリプル電流を抑制する。
ゲート基板4は、スイッチングモジュール1の駆動端子に信号線(図示せず)により接続され、スイッチングモジュール1にゲート信号を与える。
冷却器5には、スイッチングモジュール1がその底面を接するように配置される。冷却器5は、スイッチングモジュール1を冷却する。
コンデンサ固定フレーム6は、冷却器5の上に設置され、コンデンサ2を固定する。なお、ここでは、スイッチングモジュール1を覆うようにコンデンサ固定フレーム6を設置して、スイッチングモジュール1の上方にコンデンサ2が設置されている。
コンデンサ2は、導体3を介して、スイッチングモジュール1に接続され、スイッチングモジュール1のスイッチングにより生じるリプル電流を抑制する。
ゲート基板4は、スイッチングモジュール1の駆動端子に信号線(図示せず)により接続され、スイッチングモジュール1にゲート信号を与える。
冷却器5には、スイッチングモジュール1がその底面を接するように配置される。冷却器5は、スイッチングモジュール1を冷却する。
コンデンサ固定フレーム6は、冷却器5の上に設置され、コンデンサ2を固定する。なお、ここでは、スイッチングモジュール1を覆うようにコンデンサ固定フレーム6を設置して、スイッチングモジュール1の上方にコンデンサ2が設置されている。
コンデンサ2の1つの面には、ゲート基板4が取り付けられる。なお、図1においては、導体3と反対側の面にゲート基板4を取り付けているが、ゲート基板4はコンデンサのいずれの面に取り付けられても良い。
ここで、一般的な電力変換装置におけるゲート基板4の取り付けについて述べる。一般的な電力変換装置では、ゲート基板4を取り付けるフレーム(板金)は、ゲート基板4に対して専用のフレームが設けられることが多い。
一般的にスイッチングモジュール1やコンデンサ2は高圧であり、それに対してゲート基板4は比較的低圧であることから分離して取り扱われたこと、また、スイッチングモジュール1の故障またはゲート基板4が故障した際に、それぞれが個別に交換し易くなること、またスイッチングモジュール1とゲート基板4とを近接して配置することでノイズの影響を低減するなどの理由が考えられるが、軽量小型化の観点からすると、ゲート基板4を固定するための専用のフレームが必要となり、構造部材が多くなる。
ここで、一般的な電力変換装置におけるゲート基板4の取り付けについて述べる。一般的な電力変換装置では、ゲート基板4を取り付けるフレーム(板金)は、ゲート基板4に対して専用のフレームが設けられることが多い。
一般的にスイッチングモジュール1やコンデンサ2は高圧であり、それに対してゲート基板4は比較的低圧であることから分離して取り扱われたこと、また、スイッチングモジュール1の故障またはゲート基板4が故障した際に、それぞれが個別に交換し易くなること、またスイッチングモジュール1とゲート基板4とを近接して配置することでノイズの影響を低減するなどの理由が考えられるが、軽量小型化の観点からすると、ゲート基板4を固定するための専用のフレームが必要となり、構造部材が多くなる。
これに対して、本実施形態では、コンデンサ2の1つの面にゲート基板4を取り付けることで、ゲート基板4を取り付けるための専用のフレームは必要なくなり、電力変換装置の軽量小型化を実現することが可能となる。
また、コンデンサ2は、高調波ノイズなどの発生源となるものではないため、取り付けたゲート基板4に対して、その機能を阻害するような影響を与えることはない。
また、図3に示すように、スイッチングモジュール1、コンデンサ2、ゲート基板4などを1つのユニット、例えば1つの電力変換装置や、1つの電力変換装置を構成する1相などを構成することにより、各ユニット単位での交換を容易にすることが可能となる。
また、コンデンサ2は、高調波ノイズなどの発生源となるものではないため、取り付けたゲート基板4に対して、その機能を阻害するような影響を与えることはない。
また、図3に示すように、スイッチングモジュール1、コンデンサ2、ゲート基板4などを1つのユニット、例えば1つの電力変換装置や、1つの電力変換装置を構成する1相などを構成することにより、各ユニット単位での交換を容易にすることが可能となる。

- スイッチング素子と、前記スイッチング素子に接続されたコンデンサと、前記スイッチング素子に駆動信号を与えるゲート基板とを有する鉄道車両用電力変換装置において、
前記コンデンサは、コンデンサ固定フレームにより固定され、
前記ゲート基板は、前記コンデンサに取り付けられる鉄道車両用電力変換装置。 - 前記スイッチング素子は、冷却器に取り付けられ、
前記コンデンサ固定フレームは、前記冷却器に取り付けられる請求項1記載の鉄道車両用電力変換装置。 - 前記スイッチング素子と前記コンデンサと前記ゲート基板と前記コンデンサ固定フレームとを1つのユニットとして、前記冷却器には複数のユニットが設置される鉄道車両用電力変換装置。
