Definitions
- This disclosure relates to a display device and an electronic device using the display device.
- the light generated by the light emitting element is not only a color filter provided in the sub pixel corresponding to the light emitting element but also the sub pixel. It may enter the color filter of the adjacent sub-pixels adjacent to each other.
- the sub-pixels to be made to emit light not only the sub-pixels to be made to emit light but also the adjacent sub-pixels are in a state of light leakage (hereinafter, may be referred to as light leakage), which may cause color mixing on the display screen.
- light leakage state of light leakage
- it is known to form a light-shielding layer between adjacent color filters for example, as shown in Patent Document 1.
- the distance between the light emitting element and the color filter is shortened by thinning the protective layer formed between the light emitting element and the color filter using ALD (Atomic Layer Deposition) technology. There is.
- the present disclosure has been made in view of the above-mentioned points, and one of the purposes of the present disclosure is to provide a display device and an electronic device capable of suppressing color mixing while suppressing a decrease in luminance and a decrease in the protection function of a light emitting element.
- a protective layer that covers the plurality of light emitting elements, A plurality of color filters provided on the upper side of the protective layer, and Equipped with A plurality of sub-pixels corresponding to each of the plurality of light emitting elements are formed.
- a ring-shaped lens having a convex surface portion that becomes convex in a direction away from the substrate is formed on the adjacent sub-pixel adjacent to the sub-pixel in the plan view of the sub-pixel. It is provided at a position that avoids the position that straddles the color filter.
- the refractive index of the lens is higher than the refractive index of the outer portion of the lens in contact with the convex surface portion. It is a display device.
- This disclosure describes (2) the drive board and A plurality of light emitting elements arranged two-dimensionally on the drive substrate, having a plurality of first electrodes, an organic layer arranged on the first electrodes, and a second electrode covering the organic layer.
