Description
本発明は、歯ブラシに関するものである。
本願は、2020年12月25日に、日本に出願された特願2020-217228に基づいて優先権を主張し、その内容をここに援用する。

現在、歯ブラシには、清掃効果に加えて、口腔内に対するマッサージ効果が期待されている。そこで、口腔内への十分なマッサージ効果を担保するために、ブラシ部が刷毛部とエラストマー部とからなる歯ブラシが開示されている。
しかしながら、従来のエラストマー付き歯ブラシでは、エラストマー部が撓みにくく突っ張ることで、刷毛部の動きを阻害するという課題があった。そのため、刷毛部による清掃性と、エラストマー部によるマッサージ効果とを両立させることが困難であった。
本発明は、以上のような点を考慮してなされたもので、清掃性とマッサージ効果とを両立させることのできる歯ブラシを提供することを目的とする。
本発明における一態様の歯ブラシは、植毛面にブラシ部を有するヘッド部を備えた歯ブラシであって、前記ヘッド部の一部を構成するとともに第一の樹脂からなるヘッド構成部と、前記ヘッド部及び前記ブラシ部の一部を構成するとともに第二の樹脂からなる複数の軟質樹脂部と、前記ヘッド構成部に設けられた複数の毛束と、を備え、前記軟質樹脂部は、前記ブラシ部を構成する複数のエラストマー部と、複数の前記エラストマー部の基端側同士を連結するエラストマー土台と、を有し、前記エラストマー土台は、前記ヘッド部の長さ方向又は幅方向の両側の一対の端部が前記ヘッド構成部に接続されるとともに、前記ヘッド構成部と乖離して前記エラストマー土台の厚さ方向及び幅方向に可動する可動部を有している。

本発明では、清掃性とマッサージ効果とを両立させることのできる歯ブラシを提供することができる。
以下、本発明の一態様における歯ブラシの構成を、図1~図12を参照して説明する。 なお、以下の実施形態は、本発明の一態様を示すものであり、この発明を限定するものではなく、本発明の技術的思想の範囲内で任意に変更可能である。また、以下の図面においては、各構成をわかりやすくするために、実際の構造と各構造における縮尺や数等を異ならせている。
<歯ブラシ>
本実施形態の歯ブラシ1は、ブラシ部3と、植毛面23aにブラシ部3を有するヘッド部23と、ヘッド部23の後端から長さ方向へ延在するネック部22と、ネック部22の後端からヘッド部23とは長さ方向で反対側へ延在するハンドル部21と、を有し、軸方向に長さを有する長尺形状とされている。
図1~図3に示すように、本実施形態の歯ブラシ1は、硬質樹脂からなる歯ブラシ本体(第一の樹脂)2と、軟質樹脂からなる一対の軟質樹脂部(第二の樹脂)5と、複数の毛束4aからなる刷毛部4と、を備えている。
本実施形態の歯ブラシ1は、ブラシ部3と、植毛面23aにブラシ部3を有するヘッド部23と、ヘッド部23の後端から長さ方向へ延在するネック部22と、ネック部22の後端からヘッド部23とは長さ方向で反対側へ延在するハンドル部21と、を有し、軸方向に長さを有する長尺形状とされている。
図1~図3に示すように、本実施形態の歯ブラシ1は、硬質樹脂からなる歯ブラシ本体(第一の樹脂)2と、軟質樹脂からなる一対の軟質樹脂部(第二の樹脂)5と、複数の毛束4aからなる刷毛部4と、を備えている。
(歯ブラシ本体)
図1~図3に示すように、歯ブラシ本体2は、第一の樹脂として硬質樹脂からなり、ヘッド部23の一部を構成するヘッド構成部23Aと、ネック部22を構成するネック構成部22Aと、ハンドル部21の一部を構成するハンドル構成部21Aと、を有する。

歯ブラシ本体2を構成する第一の樹脂としては硬質樹脂または軟質樹脂が挙げられる。硬質樹脂としては例えば、ポリプロピレン(PP)、ポリアセタール(POM)、ポリシクロへキシレンジメチレンテレフタレート(PCT)、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)、ポリカーボネート(PC)、アクリロニトリル-ブタジエン-スチレン樹脂(ABS)、ポリメチルメタクリレート(PMMA)、ポリスチレン(PS)、アクリロニトリル・ブタジエン・スチレン樹脂(ABS)、セルロースプロピオネート(CP)、ポリアリレート、などが挙げられる。また、生分解性樹脂、植物由来樹脂、紙配合樹脂、植物配合樹脂等を用いてもよい。なかでも、成形性に優れ、コスト面で有利な点では、PPが好ましい。
軟質樹脂としては、例えば、ポリオレフィン系熱可塑性エラストマー、ポリスチレン系熱可塑性エラストマー、ポリウレタン系熱可塑性エラストマー、ポリエステル系熱可塑性エラストマー、1,2-ポリブタジエン系熱可塑性エラストマー、エチレン-酢酸ビニル系熱可塑性エラストマー、ポリ塩化ビニル系熱可塑性エラストマー、天然ゴム系熱可塑性エラストマー、フッ素系熱可塑性エラストマー、トランス-ポリイソプレン系熱可塑性エラストマーなどが挙げられる。
歯ブラシ本体2のうち、ヘッド構成部23Aは、後述の一対の軟質樹脂部5のエラストマー土台52とともに歯ブラシ1のヘッド部23を構成する。また、ハンドル構成部21Aは、把持部21Bとともにハンドル部21を構成する。
ヘッド構成部23Aは、中央に位置する硬質樹脂部230と、硬質樹脂部230の幅方向両側に形成された一対の軟質樹脂収容部23Bと、を有している。
一対の軟質樹脂収容部23Bは、ヘッド部23の側縁の位置においてヘッド構成部23Aの厚さ方向を貫通する溝であって、ヘッド部23の植毛面23a及び背面23dのそれぞれに開口するとともに、外周面23cにも開口する溝である。一対の軟質樹脂収容部23Bを正面(植毛面23a)側から見たときの形状及び側方側から見たときの形状は、いずれも矩形状である。一対の軟質樹脂収容部23Bは、ヘッド構成部23Aの長さ方向の略中央に位置する。
一対の軟質樹脂収容部23Bは、ヘッド部23の側縁の位置においてヘッド構成部23Aの厚さ方向を貫通する溝であって、ヘッド部23の植毛面23a及び背面23dのそれぞれに開口するとともに、外周面23cにも開口する溝である。一対の軟質樹脂収容部23Bを正面(植毛面23a)側から見たときの形状及び側方側から見たときの形状は、いずれも矩形状である。一対の軟質樹脂収容部23Bは、ヘッド構成部23Aの長さ方向の略中央に位置する。
ヘッド構成部23Aは、図4B、図8及び図9に示すように、一対の軟質樹脂収容部23B内に突出する一対の硬質樹脂側固定部23gを有している。一対の硬質樹脂側固定部23gは、各軟質樹脂収容部23Bの長さ方向両側の壁面に対して垂直をなす凸部である。一対の硬質樹脂側固定部23gは、ヘッド構成部23Aの厚さ方向の略中央に位置し、植毛面23a及び背面23dのそれぞれから離れている。本実施形態では、背面23dよりも植毛面23aに僅かに近い位置に形成されている。
各硬質樹脂側固定部23gは、図9及び図10に示すように、正面から見てほぼ正方形状をなすが、これに限らず平面視形状は適宜変更が可能である。
各硬質樹脂側固定部23gは、植毛面23aから見たときの一辺23g1がヘッド部23の幅方向両側の外周面23cに一致し、ヘッド構成部23Aの側面23bからは幅方向外側に離れている。すなわち、各硬質樹脂側固定部23gとヘッド構成部23Aの各側面23bとの間に、それぞれ隙間S(図4A)を有する。
各硬質樹脂側固定部23gは、植毛面23aから見たときの一辺23g1がヘッド部23の幅方向両側の外周面23cに一致し、ヘッド構成部23Aの側面23bからは幅方向外側に離れている。すなわち、各硬質樹脂側固定部23gとヘッド構成部23Aの各側面23bとの間に、それぞれ隙間S(図4A)を有する。
図10に示すように、各硬質樹脂側固定部23gの正面視における中央には、第1の係止部23hが係止されている。本実施形態における第1の係止部23hは、硬質樹脂側固定部23gの厚さ方向を貫通する貫通孔からなる。貫通孔の大きさ及び平面視形状は適宜変更が可能である。
ヘッド構成部23Aには、植毛面23aに開口する複数の植毛穴24が形成されている。本実施形態においては、ヘッド構成部23Aの幅方向に2列の植毛穴列24Nが形成されている。各植毛穴列24Nは、ヘッド構成部23Aの長さ方向に並ぶ複数の植毛穴24から構成され、本実施形態では各植毛穴列24Nのそれぞれが8個の植毛穴24を有する。
なお、ヘッド構成部23Aに形成する植毛穴列24Nの数、各植毛穴列24Nを構成する植毛穴24の数、各植毛穴24の直径は、ヘッド部23の大きさに応じて適宜変更が可能である。植毛穴24の直径は、1.5mm以上、3.0mm以下が好ましく、2.0mm以上、2.5mm以下がより好ましい。
(毛束)
本実施形態では、ヘッド構成部23Aに形成された各植毛穴24には、複数の用毛からなる毛束4aが平線等を用いて植設される。毛束4aを構成する用毛としては、ストレート毛や毛先に向かって漸次その径が小さくなる用毛(テーパー毛)、先端分岐毛、スパイラル毛、異形断面用毛などが挙げられる。毛束4aの先端形状は、平切り、山切り、凸状、凹状などが挙げられる。また、平線を境にした半毛束同士で段差を設けたオフセット形状としてもよい。用いる用毛の種類や毛束4aの先端形状は、刷毛部4に求める清掃効果や歯茎に対する当たり心地などを考慮して適宜設定される。
なお、上記のような植設された用毛に限らず、2色成形やインサート成形などで毛束を成形した一体成形の歯ブラシであってもよい。
本実施形態では、ヘッド構成部23Aに形成された各植毛穴24には、複数の用毛からなる毛束4aが平線等を用いて植設される。毛束4aを構成する用毛としては、ストレート毛や毛先に向かって漸次その径が小さくなる用毛(テーパー毛)、先端分岐毛、スパイラル毛、異形断面用毛などが挙げられる。毛束4aの先端形状は、平切り、山切り、凸状、凹状などが挙げられる。また、平線を境にした半毛束同士で段差を設けたオフセット形状としてもよい。用いる用毛の種類や毛束4aの先端形状は、刷毛部4に求める清掃効果や歯茎に対する当たり心地などを考慮して適宜設定される。

(一対の軟質樹脂部)
図1~図6に示すように、一対の軟質樹脂部5は、ヘッド構成部23Aの幅方向両側に形成された軟質樹脂収容部23Bに収容され、各軟質樹脂部5の長さ方向の両側が上記ヘッド構成部23Aに対して接続されることで、歯ブラシ本体2と一体に形成されている。
図1~図6に示すように、一対の軟質樹脂部5は、ヘッド構成部23Aの幅方向両側に形成された軟質樹脂収容部23Bに収容され、各軟質樹脂部5の長さ方向の両側が上記ヘッド構成部23Aに対して接続されることで、歯ブラシ本体2と一体に形成されている。
これら一対の軟質樹脂部5は、各軟質樹脂収容部23B内において、中央に位置する硬質樹脂部230の幅方向両側の各側面23bから幅方向の外側に離れて位置しており、硬質樹脂部230の各側面23bとそれぞれ隙間Sを介して対向している。
なお、軟質樹脂部5と硬質樹脂部230の側面23bとの間の隙間Sは、上述したヘッド構成部23Aにおける硬質樹脂側固定部23gと、ヘッド構成部23Aの各側面23bとの間に形成される隙間に略一致する。
各軟質樹脂部5は、軟質樹脂からなり、図4B、図5に示すように、複数のエラストマー部51と、エラストマー土台52と、一対の第2の係止部53と、を有する。
軟質樹脂部5の硬度は、ショアA硬度20以上、60以下の範囲内が好ましい。本実施形態では、例えば、ショアA硬度が30である。
軟質樹脂部5を構成する軟質樹脂としては、例えば、ポリオレフィン系熱可塑性エラストマー、ポリスチレン系熱可塑性エラストマー、ポリウレタン系熱可塑性エラストマー、ポリエステル系熱可塑性エラストマー、1,2-ポリブタジエン系熱可塑性エラストマー、エチレン-酢酸ビニル系熱可塑性エラストマー、ポリ塩化ビニル系熱可塑性エラストマー、天然ゴム系熱可塑性エラストマー、フッ素系熱可塑性エラストマー、トランス-ポリイソプレン系熱可塑性エラストマーなどが挙げられる。
複数のエラストマー部51は、エラストマー土台52の表面(正面)52aから垂直に延びる。本実施形態では、図4Aのように、両側にそれぞれ5本ずつエラストマー部51を有している。片側に設けられるエラストマー部51の本数は、3本以上、7本以下が好ましく、3本以上、5本以下がより好ましい。歯茎へのマッサージ効果を得るためには、エラストマー部51の本数が少なくとも3本以上であることが好ましい。
本実施形態では、図4Bのように、各エラストマー部51は、円柱形状、もしくは先端へ行くにしたがって縮径するテーパー形状をなす。なお、エラストマー部51の形状は、上記した形状にこれに限られず、適宜変更が可能である。本実施形態では、複数のエラストマー部51の全てが同形状とされているが、形状の異なるエラストマー部51を複数有してもよい。エラストマー部51の先端は、歯茎への当たり心地を考慮した形状が好ましく、本実施形態では半球形状とされている。
本実施形態において、5本のエラストマー部51は、エラストマー土台52の長さ方向に等しい間隔で形成されている。各エラストマー部51の基端同士は、エラストマー土台52によって連結され、先端側は互いに独立している。
複数のエラストマー部51は、エラストマー土台52の長さ方向の両側の各端部52cを除く位置に形成されていることが好ましい。さらに、一列に並ぶ5本のエラストマー部51のうち、配列方向中央の少なくとも3本のエラストマー部51が、エラストマー土台52(軟質樹脂収容部23B)の長さ方向の中央(後述する可動部52f)に位置する。
本実施形態では、複数のエラストマー部51がヘッド部23の長さ方向に一列に並んで配置されているが、幅方向に複数列(2列)設けた構成としてもよい。
本実施形態では、図4Bに示すように、複数のエラストマー部51の基端(エラストマー土台52の表面)から先端までの高さHは、互いに等しい。エラストマー部51の高さHは、毛束4aの毛丈よりも短く、エラストマー部51と毛束4aとの毛丈差が1mm程度であることが好ましい。
図4Aに示すように、エラストマー土台52は、平面視矩形状を呈し、上述した軟質樹脂収容部23Bの平面形状に略一致する。また、エラストマー土台52の厚さ方向一方の表面52aは、ヘッド構成部23Aにおける植毛面23aに一致する。エラストマー土台52のうち長さ方向の両側の端部52cは、ヘッド構成部23Aに接続されている。図4B、図6に示すように、エラストマー土台52は、長さ方向の少なくとも中央部分が薄肉とされた可動部52fを有している。
上記可動部52fは、ヘッド構成部23Aとは乖離しており、エラストマー土台52の厚さ方向及び幅方向に可動する部位である。上述した5本のエラストマー部51のうち少なくとも3本のエラストマー部51は、可動部52fに存在する。エラストマー土台52の長さ方向における可動部52fの長さL2(図4B)は、上述した少なくとも3本のエラストマー部51を配置できる長さが好ましく、10mm以上、28mm以下が好ましく、15mm以上、25mm以下がより好ましい。
図4B、図6に示すように、エラストマー土台52のうち少なくとも上記可動部52fにおける厚さT2は、ヘッド構成部23Aの厚さT1よりも薄く形成されている。軟質樹脂収容部23B内において、可動部52fの背面52d側には空間Kが存在する。エラストマー土台52の背面側に空間Kが存在することにより、ブラッシング時の荷重によって可動部52fがヘッド部23の背面23d側へ向かって撓んだ場合にその動きを妨げるものがないので、ヘッド部23の厚み方向に沈み込む効果が得られる。
一対の第2の係止部53は、エラストマー土台52の各端部52cを、ヘッド構成部23Aの硬質樹脂側固定部23gに接続するためのもので、エラストマー土台52の長さ方向の両側における各端部52cの裏面側に形成されている。一対の第2の係止部53は、軟質樹脂側固定部53Aと、接続部53hと、を有する。
一対の第2の係止部53は、エラストマー土台52の背面52dから硬質樹脂側固定部23gの端面231に沿って垂直に延びるとともに、硬質樹脂側固定部23gの裏面232に沿ってエラストマー土台52と平行に延びる形状をなし、図4Bに示す側面視において略L字形状をなす。第2の係止部53のうち、第1部位53aは硬質樹脂側固定部23gの端面231を覆い、第2部位53bは硬質樹脂側固定部23gの裏面232を覆っている。ヘッド部23の厚さ方向において、第2の係止部53の第2部位53bは、硬質樹脂側固定部23gを介してエラストマー土台52の端部52cと対向する。
接続部53hは、硬質樹脂側固定部23gの第1の係止部23h(貫通孔)内に形成され、軟質樹脂側固定部53Aの第2部位53bと、エラストマー土台52の端部52cとを接続している。このようにして、軟質樹脂部5側の第2の係止部53の一部が、第1の係止部23h(硬質樹脂側固定部23g)に係止することで、一対の軟質樹脂部5が軟質樹脂収容部23Bに配置された状態で、歯ブラシ本体2に対して固定されている。
このようにして歯ブラシ1が構成されている。
本実施形態では、歯ブラシ本体2に一対の軟質樹脂部5が取り付けられた状態のとき、図4Aに示すように、幅方向の両側の軟質樹脂収容部23B内にそれぞれ配置された軟質樹脂部は、ヘッド構成部23Aの各側面23bから幅方向外側に乖離しており、これらの間には、それぞれ隙間Sが形成されている。この隙間Sによって、軟質樹脂部5(可動部52f)の幅方向への変形が可能となり、毛束4aの動きをエラストマー部51が阻害することなく歯茎へのマッサージ効果が得られる。
本実施形態では、歯ブラシ本体2に一対の軟質樹脂部5が取り付けられた状態のとき、図4Aに示すように、幅方向の両側の軟質樹脂収容部23B内にそれぞれ配置された軟質樹脂部は、ヘッド構成部23Aの各側面23bから幅方向外側に乖離しており、これらの間には、それぞれ隙間Sが形成されている。この隙間Sによって、軟質樹脂部5(可動部52f)の幅方向への変形が可能となり、毛束4aの動きをエラストマー部51が阻害することなく歯茎へのマッサージ効果が得られる。
また、隙間Sにより、軟質樹脂部5における可動部52fが厚さ方向に撓む際にねじれるようにして沈み込むことが可能となり、エラストマー部51の複雑な動き(ねじれる挙動)によって得られる連続した弾力で、歯茎へのマッサージ効果がより高められる。
また、図4Bに示すように、一対の軟質樹脂収容部23B内におけるヘッド部23の厚さ方向において、エラストマー土台52の背面52d側には、空間Kが形成されている。この空間Kによって、軟質樹脂部5における可動部52fの厚さ方向への変動が可能となり、ブラッシング時の荷重によってヘッド部23の背面23d側への変形が可能となり、適度な(一定の)荷重で歯茎へのマッサージが可能となる。
本実施形態では、毛束4aとエラストマー部51とがそれぞれ異なる動きをすることから、それぞれによって得られる機能が異なり、毛束4aによって得られる歯面や歯頚部への清掃効果と、エラストマー部51によって得られる歯茎へのマッサージ効果とを両立させた歯ブラシ1が得られる。
ブラッシング時に、エラストマー部51に対して200gの荷重が加わった時に、ヘッド部23の厚み方向に、1.0mm以上、2.0mm以下、エラストマー土台52ごと変位する。このようなエラストマー部51の挙動によって、ブラッシング中、一定の荷重を歯ぐきに与えることができる。
以下、実施例を示して本発明をさらに詳細に説明するが、本発明は以下の記載によって限定されるものではない。
<ヘッド部23における各寸法>
図1、図2に示すように、ヘッド部23の長さL1は、20mm以上、35mm以下の範囲内であることが好ましい。ここで、ヘッド部23の長さL1とは、ヘッド部23の先端からヘッド部23とネック部22との境界までの長さを指す。ヘッド部とネック部の境界は、ヘッド部23の平面視形状における、ネック部22よりの隅切を形成する曲線の終点、即ち、隅切を形成する曲線の曲がり方向が変化する位置である。即ち、ヘッド部23とネック部22の境界は、平面視でのヘッド部23におけるネック部22よりの隅切部分の幅が狭くなる両縁を形成する曲線又は直線から、幅が広がる曲線もしくは直線、又は幅が同じ直線に変化する位置である。
図1、図2に示すように、ヘッド部23の長さL1は、20mm以上、35mm以下の範囲内であることが好ましい。ここで、ヘッド部23の長さL1とは、ヘッド部23の先端からヘッド部23とネック部22との境界までの長さを指す。ヘッド部とネック部の境界は、ヘッド部23の平面視形状における、ネック部22よりの隅切を形成する曲線の終点、即ち、隅切を形成する曲線の曲がり方向が変化する位置である。即ち、ヘッド部23とネック部22の境界は、平面視でのヘッド部23におけるネック部22よりの隅切部分の幅が狭くなる両縁を形成する曲線又は直線から、幅が広がる曲線もしくは直線、又は幅が同じ直線に変化する位置である。
図6に示すように、ヘッド部23の厚さT1は、2.6mm以上、7.0mm以下であることが好ましく、2.6mm以上、5mm以下であることがより好ましい。ここで、ヘッド部23の厚さとは、植毛面23aから背面23dまでの長さを指す。
図4A、図5に示すように、ヘッド部23の全体幅W1は、8.0mm以上、15mm以下あることが好ましく、8.0mm以上、13mm以下であることがより好ましい。ここで、ヘッド部の全体幅W1とは、硬質樹脂幅W2(ヘッド構成部23Aの側面23b間の距離)と、複数の軟質樹脂部5の幅W3の合計幅と、後述する複数の隙間Sの幅Wsの合計幅を合計した長さを指す。硬質樹脂幅W2は、3.0mm以上、8.0mm以下であることが好ましく、5.0mm以上、7.0mm以下であることがより好ましい。
植毛穴24の直径は、1.5mm以上、3.0mm以下であることが好ましく、2.0mm以上、2.5mm以下であることがより好ましい。
植毛穴24の数は、幅方向に2穴以上、6穴以下が好ましく、2穴以上、4穴以下がさらに好ましい。また、長軸方向に2穴以上12穴以下が好ましく、2穴以上、10穴以下がより好ましい。植毛穴24の総数は、6穴以上、30穴以下が好ましい。
植毛穴24の数は、幅方向に2穴以上、6穴以下が好ましく、2穴以上、4穴以下がさらに好ましい。また、長軸方向に2穴以上12穴以下が好ましく、2穴以上、10穴以下がより好ましい。植毛穴24の総数は、6穴以上、30穴以下が好ましい。
図5に示すように、隙間Sの大きさ、すなわち隙間Sの幅Wsは、0.0mm以上、3.7mm以下の範囲内が好ましく、0.0mm以上、2.0mm以下であることがより好ましい。
<軟質樹脂部5における各寸法>
(軟質樹脂部5の幅方向)
ここでは、軟質樹脂部5の幅として、エラストマー土台52における可動部52fの幅寸法を規定する。1つ当たりの軟質樹脂部5(可動部52f)の幅W3は、1.5mm以上、3.3mm以下の範囲内が好ましく、2.0mm以上、2.5mm以下であることがより好ましい。上記範囲内であることで、歯茎に対するマッサージ効果を得ることができる。
(軟質樹脂部5の幅方向)
ここでは、軟質樹脂部5の幅として、エラストマー土台52における可動部52fの幅寸法を規定する。1つ当たりの軟質樹脂部5(可動部52f)の幅W3は、1.5mm以上、3.3mm以下の範囲内が好ましく、2.0mm以上、2.5mm以下であることがより好ましい。上記範囲内であることで、歯茎に対するマッサージ効果を得ることができる。
ヘッド部23の全体幅W1に対して、複数の軟質樹脂部5の幅W3の合計が、10%以上、70%以下の範囲内であることが好ましく、30%以上、65%以下の範囲内がより好ましい。
ヘッド部23の幅方向において複数の軟質樹脂部5が占める割合を、上記範囲内にすることで、歯茎に対するマッサージ感を担保できる。

(軟質樹脂部5の厚み方向)
ここでは、図6に示すように、軟質樹脂部5の厚さT2として、エラストマー土台52における可動部52fの厚み寸法を規定する。
ヘッド部23(ヘッド構成部23A)の厚さT1に対して、可動部52fの厚さT2の割合が、7%以上、50%以下であることが好ましく、20%以上、30%以下であることがより好ましい。
ヘッド部23の厚さT1に対する可動部52fの厚さT2の割合を上記範囲内とすることで、幅方向への歪による適度な荷重(200g)のマッサージ感を担保できる。
ここでは、図6に示すように、軟質樹脂部5の厚さT2として、エラストマー土台52における可動部52fの厚み寸法を規定する。
ヘッド部23(ヘッド構成部23A)の厚さT1に対して、可動部52fの厚さT2の割合が、7%以上、50%以下であることが好ましく、20%以上、30%以下であることがより好ましい。
ヘッド部23の厚さT1に対する可動部52fの厚さT2の割合を上記範囲内とすることで、幅方向への歪による適度な荷重(200g)のマッサージ感を担保できる。
軟質樹脂部5における可動部52fの厚さT2は、0.5mm以上、5mm以下の範囲内が好ましく、0.5mm以上、2.5mm以下の範囲内がより好ましく、0.5mm以上、1.5mm以下がさらに好ましい。可動部52fの厚さT2は、0.5mmが成形の限界であり、厚さT2が5.0mmを超えると、撓み量が減少して歯茎に対する適切な荷重が得られ難い。よって上記範囲内とすることで、適度な撓み量で適切な荷重によるマッサージ効果が得られる。
(軟質樹脂部5の長さ方向)
図2に示すように軟質樹脂部5(エラストマー土台52)の長さL3が、ヘッド部23の長さL1に対して20%以上の長さが好ましく、50%以上がより好ましく、65%以上であることがより好ましい。
軟質樹脂部5のエラストマー土台52が長さ方向で分割された構成の場合は、エラストマー土台52の総和で算出するものとする。
ヘッド部23の長さL1に対する軟質樹脂部5(エラストマー土台52の長さ)の長さL3を上記範囲内にすることで、歯茎に対する最低限のマッサージ感を担保できる。
図2に示すように軟質樹脂部5(エラストマー土台52)の長さL3が、ヘッド部23の長さL1に対して20%以上の長さが好ましく、50%以上がより好ましく、65%以上であることがより好ましい。
軟質樹脂部5のエラストマー土台52が長さ方向で分割された構成の場合は、エラストマー土台52の総和で算出するものとする。
ヘッド部23の長さL1に対する軟質樹脂部5(エラストマー土台52の長さ)の長さL3を上記範囲内にすることで、歯茎に対する最低限のマッサージ感を担保できる。
軟質樹脂部5の長さL3(エラストマー土台52の長さ)は、エラストマー部51を3本並べるのに必要な距離以上であることが好ましい。軟質樹脂部5における可動部52fの長さL3は、10.0mm以上、28.0mm以下が好ましく、15mm以上、25mm以下であることがより好ましい。
軟質樹脂部5は、最大でヘッド部23の長さL1と同じ長さとしてもよい。上記実施形態では、ヘッド部23の両側に1つずつ軟質樹脂部5が設けられているが、ヘッド部23の長さ方向に複数(2つ)の軟質樹脂部5を長さ方向に並べてもよい。
(エラストマー部51の高さ、毛束4aの高さ)
エラストマー部51の高さH(エラストマー土台52の表面52aより上部のエラストマー部51の高さH)は、8.0mm以上、11.0mm以下の範囲内が好ましく、10.0mm以上、11.0mm以下がより好ましい。この範囲とすることで、歯茎に対する適度なマッサージ感を得ることができる。
毛束4aの毛丈は8.0mm以上、12.0mm以下の範囲内が好ましい。
エラストマー部51は、毛束4aの毛丈よりも低いことが好ましい。
毛束4aとエラストマー部51との高低差(段差)は、0.0mm以上、2.0mm以下であることが好ましく、0.0mm以上、1.0mm以下であることがより好ましい。エラストマー部51の高さHが毛束4aの毛丈よりも低いことで、毛束4aの動きを阻害することなく、歯茎に対してマッサージ感を与えることができる。そのため、上述した範囲の高低差があることで、歯頚部に対する清掃感と、歯茎へのマッサージ感との両方が得やすくなる。
エラストマー部51の1本の基端側の幅は、1.5mm以上、3.3mm以下が好ましく、2.0mm以上、2.5mm以下がより好ましく、2.2mm以上、2.4mm以下がさらに好ましい。本実施形態では、2.4mmである。
エラストマー部51の1本の基端側の長軸方向の長さは、1.5mm以上、3.3mm以下が好ましく、2.0mm以上、2.5mm以下がより好ましく、2.2mm以上、2.4mm以下がさらに好ましい。本実施形態では、2.4mmである。
エラストマー部51同士の最短距離、すなわち、基端側の隣接するエラストマー部51同士の最短距離は0.1mm以上、3mm以下が好ましく、0.2mm以上、2mm以下がより好ましく、0.4mm以上、1mm以下がさらに好ましい。本実施形態では、0.7mmである。
エラストマー部51の高さH(エラストマー土台52の表面52aより上部のエラストマー部51の高さH)は、8.0mm以上、11.0mm以下の範囲内が好ましく、10.0mm以上、11.0mm以下がより好ましい。この範囲とすることで、歯茎に対する適度なマッサージ感を得ることができる。
毛束4aの毛丈は8.0mm以上、12.0mm以下の範囲内が好ましい。
エラストマー部51は、毛束4aの毛丈よりも低いことが好ましい。
毛束4aとエラストマー部51との高低差(段差)は、0.0mm以上、2.0mm以下であることが好ましく、0.0mm以上、1.0mm以下であることがより好ましい。エラストマー部51の高さHが毛束4aの毛丈よりも低いことで、毛束4aの動きを阻害することなく、歯茎に対してマッサージ感を与えることができる。そのため、上述した範囲の高低差があることで、歯頚部に対する清掃感と、歯茎へのマッサージ感との両方が得やすくなる。
エラストマー部51の1本の基端側の幅は、1.5mm以上、3.3mm以下が好ましく、2.0mm以上、2.5mm以下がより好ましく、2.2mm以上、2.4mm以下がさらに好ましい。本実施形態では、2.4mmである。
エラストマー部51の1本の基端側の長軸方向の長さは、1.5mm以上、3.3mm以下が好ましく、2.0mm以上、2.5mm以下がより好ましく、2.2mm以上、2.4mm以下がさらに好ましい。本実施形態では、2.4mmである。
エラストマー部51同士の最短距離、すなわち、基端側の隣接するエラストマー部51同士の最短距離は0.1mm以上、3mm以下が好ましく、0.2mm以上、2mm以下がより好ましく、0.4mm以上、1mm以下がさらに好ましい。本実施形態では、0.7mmである。
ブラッシング時の荷重が200gの場合、エラストマー部51の変位(エラストマー土台52の厚さ方向への撓み)は、1.0mm~2.0mmとなり、適度な清掃実感とマッサージ感が得られる。
(軟質樹脂幅W3と硬質樹脂幅W2(二つの割合))
一対の軟質樹脂部5の合計幅と硬質樹脂幅W2とを合わせた全体幅(以下、無隙間ヘッド幅と言う)に対する軟質樹脂部5の合計幅の割合は、20%以上、80%以下が好ましく、30%以上、60%以下がより好ましい。上記範囲内とすることによって、毛束4aによる清掃感と、エラストマー部51によるマッサージ感を同時に得ることが可能である。無隙間ヘッド幅に対する軟質樹脂部5の合計幅の割合が、80%を超える場合はヘッド部23の剛性を確保するのが難しく、20%未満の場合は、エラストマー部51によるマッサージ感が得られ難い。
一対の軟質樹脂部5の合計幅と硬質樹脂幅W2とを合わせた全体幅(以下、無隙間ヘッド幅と言う)に対する軟質樹脂部5の合計幅の割合は、20%以上、80%以下が好ましく、30%以上、60%以下がより好ましい。上記範囲内とすることによって、毛束4aによる清掃感と、エラストマー部51によるマッサージ感を同時に得ることが可能である。無隙間ヘッド幅に対する軟質樹脂部5の合計幅の割合が、80%を超える場合はヘッド部23の剛性を確保するのが難しく、20%未満の場合は、エラストマー部51によるマッサージ感が得られ難い。
(隙間Sの幅方向)
ヘッド部23の全体幅W1から一対の隙間Sの合計幅を除いた長さ、すなわち複数の軟質樹脂部5(各幅W3)の合計幅と、ヘッド構成部23Aにおける硬質樹脂幅W2とを合わせた長さが、ヘッド部23の全体幅W1(隙間Sを含む幅)に対して、60%以上を占めることが好ましく、80%以上を占めることがより好ましい。これにより、軟質樹脂部5の可動部52fにおける幅方向の可動領域を確保することができる。
ヘッド部23の全体幅W1から一対の隙間Sの合計幅を除いた長さ、すなわち複数の軟質樹脂部5(各幅W3)の合計幅と、ヘッド構成部23Aにおける硬質樹脂幅W2とを合わせた長さが、ヘッド部23の全体幅W1(隙間Sを含む幅)に対して、60%以上を占めることが好ましく、80%以上を占めることがより好ましい。これにより、軟質樹脂部5の可動部52fにおける幅方向の可動領域を確保することができる。
隙間Sがない構成とすることも可能である。ヘッド構成部23Aの硬質樹脂幅W2と一対の軟質樹脂幅W3とを合わせた長さが、ヘッド部23の全体幅W1と一致してもよい。
(隙間Sの長さ方向)
図4Aに示すように、ヘッド構成部23A(側面23b)と軟質樹脂部5との間に形成される隙間Sの長さLsは、軟質樹脂部5の長さL3に一致し、ヘッド部23の長さ方向の20%以上に沿って存在することが好ましい。

ヘッド部23の厚さ方向における空間Kの大きさは、ヘッド部23の厚みに対して、30%以上、95%以下の範囲内が好ましく、45%以上、80%以下の範囲内がより好ましい。
ヘッド部23の長さ方向における空間Kの大きさは、ヘッド部23の長さL1に対して10%以上、70%以下が好ましく、30%以上、50%以下より好ましい。

以下、実施例により、本発明の効果をより明らかなものとする。なお、本発明は、以下の実施例に限定されるものではなく、その要旨を変更しない範囲で適宜変更して実施することができる。

本実施例では、下記表1に示す仕様に従って、実施例1~22、比較例1~2の歯ブラシを、図1~図12に示した歯ブラシと同様のサンプルを作製した。

10人のモニターが、各実施例1~22及び比較例1,2の歯ブラシで口腔内を清掃した際の、「刷毛部による口全体の清掃実感」を以下の基準で評価した。
<判定基準>
10人のモニターの平均点が4点以上を「◎」、4点未満3点以上を「〇」、3点未満を「×」をした。
5点:「刷毛部による口全体の清掃実感」が非常に良い。
4点:「刷毛部による口全体の清掃実感」がやや良い。
3点:「刷毛部による口全体の清掃実感」がどちらともいえない。
2点:「刷毛部による口全体の清掃実感」がやや悪い。
1点:「刷毛部による口全体の清掃実感」が非常に悪い。

10人のモニターが、各実施例1~22及び比較例1,2の歯ブラシで口腔内を清掃した際の、「刷毛部による口全体の清掃実感」を以下の基準で評価した。

10人のモニターが、各実施例1~22及び比較例1,2の歯ブラシで口腔内を清掃した際の、「エラストマー部による口全体のマッサージ実感」を以下の基準で評価した。<判定基準>
10人のモニターの平均点が4点以上を「◎」、4点未満3点以上を「〇」、3点未満を「×」をした。
5点:「エラストマー部による口全体のマッサージ実感」が非常に良い。
4点:「エラストマー部による口全体のマッサージ実感」がやや良い。

1点:「エラストマー部による口全体のマッサージ実感」が非常に悪い。

10人のモニターが、各実施例1~22及び比較例1,2の歯ブラシで口腔内を清掃した際の、「エラストマー部による口全体のマッサージ実感」を以下の基準で評価した。<判定基準>

5点:「エラストマー部による口全体のマッサージ実感」が非常に良い。
4点:「エラストマー部による口全体のマッサージ実感」がやや良い。
3点:「エラストマー部による口全体のマッサージ実感」がどちらともいえない。 2点:「エラストマー部による口全体のマッサージ実感」がやや悪い。
1点:「エラストマー部による口全体のマッサージ実感」が非常に悪い。
表1に示されるように、実施例1~22のうち、実施例1~4、6、11、14、15、17、19,22のサンプルにおいては、刷毛部による(歯頚部への)清掃実感について高い評価が得られた。
また、実施例1~22のうち、実施例1、8、21のサンプルにおいては、エラストマー部による(歯茎への)マッサージ実感について高い評価が得られた。
以上より、実施例1~22のうち、実施例1のサンプルにおいて、刷毛部4による歯頚部への清掃実感及び歯茎への適度なマッサージ実感ともに高い評価が得られた。
以上、添付図面を参照しながら本発明に係る好適な実施形態について説明したが、本発明は係る例に限定されないことは言うまでもない。上述した例において示した各構成部材の諸形状や組み合わせ等は一例であって、本発明の主旨から逸脱しない範囲において設計要求等に基づき種々変更可能である。
例えば、ヘッド構成部23Aに対する軟質樹脂部5の固定構造(取付構造)は、上述した構造だけに限定されず、他の構造を採用してもよい。上述した実施形態では、ヘッド構成部23Aにおける一対の硬質樹脂側固定部23gの第1の係止部23hが貫通孔からなっており、この貫通孔内に充填されるようにして軟質樹脂部5の一部(第2の係止部53)が係止することで、ヘッド構成部23Aに対して一対の軟質樹脂部5が固定されているが、第1の係止部23hが貫通孔ではなく、溝や凹部などであってもよい。
また、軟質樹脂部5の第2の係止部53の形状も上述した形状に限られず、ヘッド構成部23Aの第1の係止部23h側の形状に合わせて適宜変更してもよい。

また、上記実施形態では、各軟質樹脂部5の背面側に空間Kが存在する構成となっているが、軟質樹脂部5の可動部52fの幅方向及び厚み方向への撓みが良好であれば、空間Kがない構成であってもよい。

Claims (8)
- 植毛面にブラシ部を有するヘッド部を備えた歯ブラシであって、
前記ヘッド部の一部を構成するとともに第一の樹脂からなるヘッド構成部と、
前記ヘッド部及び前記ブラシ部の一部を構成するとともに第二の樹脂からなる複数の軟質樹脂部と、
前記ヘッド構成部に設けられた複数の毛束と、
を備え、
前記軟質樹脂部は、
前記ブラシ部を構成する複数のエラストマー部と、
複数の前記エラストマー部の基端側同士を連結するエラストマー土台と、
を有し、
前記エラストマー土台は、前記ヘッド部の長さ方向又は幅方向の両側の一対の端部が前記ヘッド構成部に接続されるとともに、前記ヘッド構成部と乖離して前記エラストマー土台の厚さ方向及び幅方向に可動する可動部を有している、
歯ブラシ。 - 前記ヘッド構成部は、少なくとも前記植毛面に開口する軟質樹脂収容部を有し、
前記軟質樹脂収容部内に前記軟質樹脂部が配置されている、

請求項2から4のいずれか1項に記載の歯ブラシ。 - 前記軟質樹脂部は、前記エラストマー土台の正面から垂直に延びる複数の前記エラストマー部を有し、前記エラストマー部は、前記エラストマー土台の長さ方向のうち前記可動部に少なくとも3本以上並んでいる、
請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の歯ブラシ。 - 前記可動部の厚さは、0.5mm以上、2.5mm以下の範囲内が好ましい、
請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載の歯ブラシ。 - 前記エラストマー土台の表面から先端までの前記エラストマー部の高さは、前記植毛面から先端までの前記毛束の毛丈よりも短い、
