Description

運転支援制御装置および運転支援制御方法
 本開示は、車両の運転支援装置の制御を行う運転支援制御装置に関するものである。
 近年、車線ごとの道路データを含む高精度地図の整備が進んでおり、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を行う自動運転装置やADAS(Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems)装置などの運転支援装置が開発されている。例えば、特許文献1には、高精度地図を用いることによって運転支援装置の安全性および信頼性を向上させる技術が開示されている。

 特許文献1の技術は、高精度地図を用いて運転支援装置を搭載した車両の走行の安全性および信頼性を向上させる技術である。高精度地図を用いる運転支援装置を搭載した車両とは別の車両の走行の安全性および信頼性の向上は考慮されていない。
 本開示は以上のような課題を解決するためになされたものであり、高精度地図を用いる運転支援装置を搭載した車両とは別の車両の走行の安全性および信頼性の向上を図ることを目的とする。
 本開示に係る運転支援制御装置は、自車両の周辺に存在する他車両である周辺車両の位置を認識する周辺車両認識部と、周辺車両が車線ごとの道路データを含む高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施しているか否かの情報を含む周辺車両制御情報を取得する周辺車両制御情報取得部と、周辺車両制御情報に基づいて、周辺車両の走行の信頼度である走行信頼度を判断する周辺車両信頼度判断部と、周辺車両の走行信頼度に基づいて、自車両をなるべく走行信頼度の高い周辺車両と共に走行させる運転支援計画、または、自車両をなるべく走行信頼度の低い周辺車両と共に走行させない運転支援計画を策定し、運転支援計画に従って自車両の運転支援装置を制御する運転支援計画策定部と、を備える。

 <実施の形態1>
 図1は、実施の形態1に係る運転支援制御装置10の構成を示す図である。本実施の形態では、運転支援制御装置10は車両1に搭載されているものとし、以下、運転支援制御装置10が搭載された車両1を「自車両」という。ただし、運転支援制御装置10は、自車両1に常設される必要はなく、例えば、携帯電話やスマートフォン、PND(Portable Navigation Device)など携帯型機器上に実現され、自車両1に持ち込まれてもよい。また、運転支援制御装置10の一部の機能は、自車両1の外部に設置され運転支援制御装置10との通信が可能なサーバ上に実現されていてもよい。
 図1のように、運転支援制御装置10は、自車両1が備える現在位置算出装置21、周辺センサ22、車外通信装置23および運転支援装置24に接続されている。
 現在位置算出装置21は、自車両1の現在位置を算出する手段であり、例えば、GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite System )受信機などで構成される。現在位置算出装置21は、GNSSを用いて算出した自車両1の位置を、地図情報を用いたマップマッチングによって補正する機能を備えていてもよい。
 周辺センサ22は、自車両1の周辺に存在する地物を検出する手段である。周辺センサ22は、例えば、カメラ(画像処理センサ)、ミリ波センサ、LiDAR(Light Detection and Ranging)などにより構成され、少なくとも自車両1の周辺に存在する他車両2の位置を検出することができる。以下、自車両1の周辺に存在する他車両2を「周辺車両」という。図1には、周辺車両2が1台だけ図示されているが、周辺車両2は複数の場合もある。
 車外通信装置23は、運転支援制御装置10が周辺車両2の走行制御に関する情報である走行制御情報を取得する通信を行う手段である。車外通信装置23は、運転支援制御装置10専用の通信機でよいし、携帯電話やスマートフォンなど汎用の通信機でもよい。ここでは、車外通信装置23は、周辺車両2との車車間通信によって周辺車両2から走行制御情報を取得するものとする。ただし、走行制御情報の入手方法は任意の方法でよく、例えば、路側装置などのインフラや、特定のサーバから周辺車両2の走行制御情報を取得してもよい。

 周辺車両認識部11は、現在位置算出装置21が算出した自車両1の絶対位置と、周辺センサ22が検出した周辺車両2の自車両1に対する相対位置とに基づいて、周辺車両2の位置を認識する。ただし、運転支援制御装置10が行う運転支援の内容によっては、周辺車両認識部11は、少なくとも自車両1に対する周辺車両2の相対位置を認識できればよい。周辺車両制御情報取得部12は、車外通信装置23を用いて、周辺車両2が高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施しているか否かの情報を含む周辺車両制御情報を取得する。
 周辺車両認識部11が認識した周辺車両2と周辺車両制御情報取得部12が取得した周辺車両制御情報との対応付けは、どのような方法で行われてもよい。例えば、周辺センサ22により検出された周辺車両2のプロファイル(車種、ナンバープレートの番号など)と、車外通信装置23により取得された周辺車両2のプロファイルの情報とを照合する方法や、周辺センサ22により検出された周辺車両2の位置と、車外通信装置23により取得された周辺車両2の位置の情報とを照合する方法などが考えられる。
 なお、周辺車両認識部11が、周辺センサ22を用いて周辺車両2の周辺車両制御情報を取得できる場合は、車外通信装置23は省略されてもよい。例えば、法律によって、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施しているか否かを車両の外部に表示することが義務づけられた場合、周辺センサ22としてのカメラで撮影した周辺車両2の画像から、周辺車両制御情報を取得できると考えられる。
 周辺車両信頼度判断部13は、周辺車両制御情報取得部12が取得した周辺車両制御情報に基づいて、周辺車両2の走行の信頼度である走行信頼度を判断する。周辺車両信頼度判断部13は、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施している周辺車両2の走行信頼度を、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施していない周辺車両2の走行信頼度よりも高いと判断する。実施の形態1では、周辺車両2の走行信頼度を「高」と「低」の2段階とし、周辺車両信頼度判断部13は、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施している周辺車両2の走行信頼度を「高」、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施していない周辺車両2の走行信頼度を「低」と判断するものとする。
 運転支援計画策定部14は、周辺車両信頼度判断部13が判断した周辺車両2の走行信頼度に基づいて、自車両1をなるべく走行信頼度の高い周辺車両2と共に走行させる運転支援計画、または、自車両1をなるべく走行信頼度の低い周辺車両2と共に走行させない運転支援計画を策定する。また、運転支援計画策定部14は、策定した運転支援計画に従って運転支援装置24を制御する。
 例えば時刻t1において、図2のように、自車両1が自動運転により位置P[t1]を走行中であり、自車両1の前方を、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施している周辺車両2-1と、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施していない周辺車両2-2とが走行している状況を想定する。SAE(Society of Automotive Engineers)では、完全な手動運転を意味するレベル0から完全な自動運転を維持するレベル5までの6段階の自動運転レベルが規定されており、ここでは自車両1が自動運転レベル3に設定され、定速走行、追従走行、レーンキーピング走行、および自動車線変更の各走行制御を実施できる状態であるものとする。ただし、自車両1の自動運転レベルは0~5のいずれに設定されていてもよい。
 自車両1の近くに他の車両がない状況では、自動運転レベル3の自車両1は、定速走行およびレーンキーピング走行を実施する。図2のように、自車両1が前方を走行する周辺車両2-1および2-2に近づくと、運転支援制御装置10において、周辺車両認識部11が、周辺車両2-1の位置Q1[t1]と、周辺車両2-2の位置Q2[t1]とを認識し、周辺車両制御情報取得部12が、周辺車両2-1および2-2の周辺車両制御情報を取得する。この周辺車両制御情報には、周辺車両2-1および2-2のそれぞれが高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施しているか否かの情報が含まれており、周辺車両信頼度判断部13は、周辺車両制御情報に基づいて、周辺車両2-1および2-2の走行信頼度を判断する。すなわち、周辺車両信頼度判断部13は、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施している周辺車両2-1の走行信頼度を「高」、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施していない周辺車両2-2の走行信頼度を「低」と判断する。
 この場合、運転支援計画策定部14は、自車両1をなるべく周辺車両2-1と共に走行させる運転支援計画を策定する。例えば図3に示すように、時刻t2で自車両1を自動車線変更によって周辺車両2-1と同じ車線へ車線変更させ、時刻t3で自車両1を周辺車両2-1に追従走行させるような運転支援計画が策定される。そして、運転支援計画策定部14が、策定した運転支援計画に従って運転支援装置24を制御する。それにより、自車両1は図3に示したように走行して、周辺車両2-1への追従走行を開始する。自車両1を、走行信頼度の高い周辺車両2-1に追従走行させることで、自車両1の走行の安全性および信頼性が高くなる。
 このように、実施の形態1に係る運転支援制御装置10によれば、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施している周辺車両2の走行信頼度の高さを利用して、自車両1の走行の安全性および信頼性の向上を図ることができる。つまり、高精度地図を用いる運転支援装置を搭載した車両(周辺車両2)とは別の車両(自車両1)の走行の安全性および信頼性の向上を図ることができる。
 図4は、実施の形態1に係る運転支援制御装置10の動作を示すフローチャートである。以下、図4を参照しつつ、運転支援制御装置10の動作を説明する。以下の説明において、周辺車両2の走行信頼度を考慮しない従来の運転支援を「通常の運転支援」という。
 運転支援制御装置10が起動すると、運転支援制御装置10は、運転者が設定した自車両1の自動運転レベルに応じた通常の運転支援を運転支援装置24に開始させる(ステップS101)。
 次に、周辺車両認識部11は、周辺センサ22の検出結果に基づいて、自車両1の周辺に周辺車両2が存在するか否かを確認する(ステップS102)。自車両1の周辺に周辺車両2が存在しなければ(ステップS102でNO)、運転支援制御装置10は運転支援装置24に通常の運転支援を実施(継続)させる(ステップS103)。
 一方、自車両1の周辺に周辺車両2が存在する場合(ステップS102でYES)、周辺車両認識部11は、現在位置算出装置21が算出した自車両1の絶対位置と、周辺センサ22が検出した周辺車両2の自車両1に対する相対位置とに基づいて、周辺車両2の位置を認識する(ステップS104)。また、周辺車両制御情報取得部12は、車外通信装置23を用いて、周辺車両2が高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施しているか否かの情報を含む周辺車両制御情報を取得する(ステップS105)。
 続いて、周辺車両信頼度判断部13が、周辺車両制御情報に基づいて、周辺車両2の走行信頼度を判断する。本実施の形態では、周辺車両信頼度判断部13は、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施している周辺車両2の走行信頼度を「高」と判断し(ステップS106)、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施していない周辺車両2の走行信頼度を「低」と判断する(ステップS107)。
 なお、周辺車両制御情報を取得できなかった周辺車両2は、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実行していないとみなして、その走行信頼度を「低」と判断してもよい。周辺車両制御情報を取得できなかったが、高精度地図を保持しているという情報を取得できた周辺車両2は、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実行しているとみなして、その走行信頼度を「高」と判断してもよい。また、自車両1の後方に位置する周辺車両2など、自車両1の運転支援に無関係な周辺車両2の走行信頼度は判断されなくてもよい。
 そして、運転支援計画策定部14が、周辺車両2の走行信頼度に基づいて、自車両1をなるべく走行信頼度の高い周辺車両2と共に走行させる運転支援計画、または、自車両1をなるべく走行信頼度の低い周辺車両2と共に走行させない運転支援計画を策定し(ステップS108)、その運転支援計画に従って運転支援装置24を制御する(ステップS109)。
 その後、自車両1の走行が継続されていれば(ステップS110でNO)、ステップS102に戻り、運転支援制御装置10はステップS102~S109の動作を繰り返す。自車両1の走行が終了すれば(ステップS110でYES)、運転支援制御装置10の動作も終了する。
 [変形例]
 運転支援制御装置10が運転支援装置24に行わせる運転支援は、図3に示したような走行制御でなくてもよく、自車両1の運転を支援するための情報を運転者に通知することであってもよい。例えば、運転支援制御装置10は、運転支援装置24としての通知装置を制御して、自車両1の運転者に、走行信頼度が高い周辺車両2の位置を示してもよい。図5は、図2に示した状況において、運転支援制御装置10が、運転支援装置24としてのHUD(Head-Up Display)を制御して、走行信頼度「高」の周辺車両2-1の位置を示す表示オブジェクト31(星マーク)を自車両1のウインドシールド30に表示させた例である。運転者は、表示オブジェクト31を見ることで、どの周辺車両2の走行信頼度が高いのかを判断でき、たとえ手動運転中であっても、自車両1を走行信頼度が高い周辺車両2と共に走行させることで、自車両1の走行の安全性および信頼性を高くすることができる。
 また、図5のような表示がなされた状態で、運転者が追従走行開始ボタン(不図示)を押すと、自車両1が自動運転に切り替わって図3のように走行し、周辺車両2-1への追従走行が開始されるようにしてもよい。
 図5の表示オブジェクト31は、運転支援用の表示オブジェクトの一例に過ぎない。運転支援用の表示オブジェクトはどのようなものでもよく、例えば、運転者に走行信頼度の高い周辺車両2と同じ車線への車線変更を誘導する矢印の画像などでもよい。
 また、運転支援装置24としての表示装置はHUDに限られず、例えば液晶表示装置などでもよい。例えば、液晶表示装置に、自車両1および周辺車両2の位置と周辺車両2の走行信頼度とを示す画像(例えば図2のような俯瞰画像)を表示してもよい。
 実施の形態1では、自車両1を走行信頼度が高い周辺車両2に追従走行させる例を示したが、周辺車両2の走行信頼度の適用はこれに限られず、種々の運転制御に適用してもよい。
 例えば、自車両1が周辺車両2に追従走行している状況において、先行車両である周辺車両2の速度VBが、自車両1の定速走行の設定速度VAよりも低くなり、VAとVBとの差が予め定められた閾値Vth以上(すなわち、VA-VB≧Vth)になると、自車両1に先行車両の追い越しをさせる自動追い越し制御に、周辺車両2の走行信頼度を適用してもよい。具体的には、先行車両の走行信頼度が「高」のときの閾値Vth=Vth1と、先行車両の走行信頼度が「低」のときの閾値Vth=Vth2とを互いに異なる値にし、Vth1>Vth2としてもよい。つまり、先行車両の走行信頼度が「高」のときは、先行車両の走行信頼度が「低」のときよりもVA-VBの許容範囲が大きくなるようにする。これにより、自車両1が走行信頼度「高」の先行車両に追従する時間が長くなることが期待でき、自車両1の走行の安全性および信頼性の向上に寄与できる。
 走行信頼度の高い周辺車両2は急ブレーキをかける可能性は低いと考えられる。そのため、先行車両の走行信頼度が「高」のときは、先行車両の走行信頼度が「低」のときよりも自車両1と先行車両との車間距離を短くしてもよい。
 自車両1の隣接車線を走行する周辺車両2が存在する場合は、並走を避けて、隣接車線の周辺車両2と自車両1との車間距離(進行方向に沿った車間距離)をとる走行制御が行われることが望ましい。この場合、隣接車線の周辺車両2の走行信頼度が「高」のときは、隣接車線の周辺車両2の走行信頼度が「低」のときよりも、自車両1と隣接車線の周辺車両2との車間距離が短くなることが許容されるようにしてもよい。
 また、複数の車線うちから自車両1が走行する車線を選択する走行制御において、前方を走行信頼度「低」の周辺車両2が走行している車線よりも、前方を走行信頼度「高」の周辺車両2が走行している車線が選択されやすくしてもよい。また、前方一定距離(例えば200m)の範囲に周辺車両2が存在しない車線が最も選択されやすくしてもよい。
 実施の形態1では、周辺車両2の走行信頼度を「高」と「低」の2段階としたが、3段階以上であってもよい。例えば、車線ごとの道路データを含む高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施している周辺車両2の走行信頼度を「高」、車線ごとの道路データを含まない通常精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施している周辺車両2の走行信頼度を「中」、地図を用いた走行制御を実施していない周辺車両2の走行信頼度を「低」とする3段階にしてもよい。ただし、その場合には、周辺車両制御情報に、周辺車両2が通常精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施しているか否かの情報を含ませることが必要である。
 図6は、走行信頼度を上記3段階にした場合の運転支援制御装置10の動作を示すフローチャートである。図6のフローは、図4のフローのステップS107を、ステップS111およびS112に置き換えたものである。図6のフローでは、周辺車両信頼度判断部13は、ステップS106で、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施している周辺車両2の走行信頼度を「高」と判断し、ステップS111で、通常精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施している周辺車両2の走行信頼度を「中」と判断し、ステップS112で、地図を用いた走行制御を実施していない周辺車両2の走行信頼度を「低」と判断する。他のステップは、図4のフローと同様であるため、ここでの説明は省略する。
 また、高精度地図は、その供給元やバージョンなどの仕様によって、道路形状の表現や精度に差異がある。よって、自車両1が走行制御に用いる高精度地図と、周辺車両2が走行制御に用いる高精度地図との仕様が近いほど好ましい。そこで、周辺車両制御情報に、周辺車両が利用する高精度地図の仕様の情報を含ませ、周辺車両信頼度判断部13が、自車両1の高精度地図の仕様により近い仕様の高精度地図を利用する周辺車両2ほど走行信頼度が高いと判断してもよい。また、より新しいバージョンの高精度地図を利用する周辺車両2ほど走行信頼度が高いと判断してもよい。
 走行信頼度が3段階以上の多段階である場合、図5に示した表示オブジェクト31の表示態様を、走行信頼度の高さに応じて変化させてもよい。また、最も走行信頼度の高い周辺車両2や、最も信頼度の低い周辺車両2を識別できるように、表示オブジェクト31の表示態様を変えてもよい。また、走行信頼度が予め定められた閾値以上の周辺車両2に、表示オブジェクト31が付加されるようにしてもよい。
 <実施の形態2>
 実施の形態2では、運転支援制御装置10の周辺車両信頼度判断部13が、周辺車両2の自動運転レベルを加味して、周辺車両2の走行信頼度を判断する。実施の形態2の運転支援制御装置10の構成は、実施の形態1(図1)と同様である。ただし、周辺車両制御情報取得部12が取得する周辺車両制御情報には、周辺車両2が高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施しているか否かの情報に加え、周辺車両2が実施中の自動運転レベルの情報が含まれている。
 図7は、実施の形態2に係る運転支援制御装置10の動作を示すフローチャートである。図7のフローは、図4のフローのステップS106,S107を、ステップS120に置き換えたものである。ステップS120では、周辺車両信頼度判断部13が、周辺車両2における高精度地図を用いた走行制御の実施状況と、周辺車両2が実施中の自動運転レベルとに基づいて、周辺車両2の走行信頼度を判断する。他のステップは、図4のフローと同様であるため、ここでの説明は省略する。
 図8および図9に、周辺車両2における走行制御の実施状況および自動運転レベルと、周辺車両信頼度判断部13により判断される当該周辺車両2の走行信頼度との関係の例を示す。
 図8に示すように、周辺車両信頼度判断部13は、自動運転レベルの高い周辺車両2ほど走行信頼度が高いと判断し、且つ、同じ自動運転レベルにおいて、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施していない周辺車両2よりも、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施している周辺車両2の方が、走行信頼度が高いと判断する。また、通常精度地図を用いた走行制御も走行信頼性の判断に加味する場合、周辺車両信頼度判断部13は、図9に示すように、同じ自動運転レベルにおいて、通常精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施している周辺車両2の走行信頼度を、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施している周辺車両2の走行信頼度よりも低く、且つ、地図を用いた走行制御を実施していない周辺車両2の走行信頼度よりも高いと判断する。
 [変形例]
 周辺車両信頼度判断部13は、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施しているか否かに基づいて算出される周辺車両2の第1の信頼度要素と、自動運転レベルに基づいて算出される周辺車両2の第2の信頼度要素とをそれぞれ算出し、算出した第1の信頼度要素および第2の信頼度要素に基づいて周辺車両2の走行信頼度を判断してもよい。
 この場合、図7のフローのステップS120では、周辺車両信頼度判断部13により図10のフローが実施される。すなわち、周辺車両信頼度判断部13は、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施しているか否かに基づいて周辺車両2の第1の信頼度要素を算出し(ステップS121)、自動運転レベルに基づいて周辺車両2の第2の信頼度要素を算出する(ステップS122)。そして、周辺車両信頼度判断部13は、ステップS121で算出した第1の信頼度要素と、ステップS122で算出した第2の信頼度要素とに基づいて、周辺車両2の走行信頼度を判断する(ステップS123)。
 図11および図12に、周辺車両2における走行制御の実施状況および自動運転レベルと、第1の信頼度要素、第2の信頼度要素および走行信頼性との関係の例を示す。
 図11の例では、第1の信頼度要素(R1)は、周辺車両2が高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施していれば0.5、実施していなければ0の値をとる。すなわち、第1の信頼度要素は、周辺車両2が高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施しているか否かの関数である。一方、第2の信頼度要素(R2)は、周辺車両2の自動運転レベルが高いほど大きな値をとる。すなわち、第2の信頼度要素は、周辺車両2の自動運転レベルの関数である。そして、周辺車両2の走行信頼性は、第1の信頼度要素と第2の信頼度要素との和(R1+R2)と定義されている。
 図12の例では、第1の信頼度要素(R1)は、周辺車両2が高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施していれば自動運転レベルが高いほど大きな値をとり、実施していなければ0の値をとる。すなわち、第1の信頼度要素は、周辺車両2が高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施しているか否かと自動運転レベルとの関数である。一方、第2の信頼度要素(R2)は、周辺車両2の自動運転レベルが高いほど大きな値をとる。すなわち、第2の信頼度要素は、周辺車両2の自動運転レベルの関数である。そして、周辺車両2の走行信頼性は、第1の信頼度要素と第2の信頼度要素との和(R1+R2)と定義されている。
 図11および図12では、自動運転レベルが高いときほど、第1の信頼度要素と第2の信頼度要素との差が大きくなるようにしている。また、図12においては、自動運転の質が変わる、自動運転レベル2と3との間、ならびに、自動運転レベル3と4との間で、第2信頼度要素が大きく変化するようにしている。
 図11および図12はそれぞれ一例に過ぎず、自動運転レベルの高い周辺車両2ほど走行信頼度が高くなり、且つ、同じ自動運転レベルにおいて、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施していない周辺車両2よりも、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施している周辺車両2の方が、走行信頼度が高くなるのであれば、他の方法が用いられてもよい。
 実施の形態2では、周辺車両制御情報取得部12が取得する周辺車両制御情報に、周辺車両2の自動運転レベルの情報が含まれているため、上で示した図5のように、周辺車両2の走行信頼度をHUDなどの表示装置で表示する場合、さらに、周辺車両2の自動運転レベルを示す表示オブジェクトを表示させてもよい。
 <実施の形態3>
 実施の形態1および2では、自車両1の「周辺」の範囲は、周辺センサ22の検知範囲に相当するものであった。実施の形態3では「周辺」の範囲を広げ、例えば自車両1から数km程度の範囲も「周辺」と考える。すなわち、自車両1から数km内の範囲に存在する車両は、周辺車両2となる。ただし、周辺センサ22の検知範囲外に存在する車両は周辺センサ22では検出できない。そのため、周辺車両認識部11は、周辺センサ22の検知範囲外に存在する周辺車両2の位置を、車外通信装置23を用いて取得する。あるいは、周辺車両認識部11は、全ての周辺車両2の位置を車外通信装置23を用いて取得してもよく、その場合、周辺センサ22は省略されてもよい。
 なお、「周辺」の広さは、運転支援制御装置10が行う制御の内容に応じて決定されればよい。また、自車両1の「周辺」の範囲は自車両1を中心とする円である必要はなく、例えば、自車両1の前方500m内、後方50m内の範囲を、自車両1の「周辺」として定義してもよい。
 例えば、周辺車両認識部11が自車両1の前方500m内、後方50m内の範囲に存在する周辺車両2の位置を認識し、周辺車両信頼度判断部13が周辺車両2の走行信頼度を判断した結果、時刻t1において図13のような周辺車両2(2-1~2-9)および走行信頼度の分布が得られたと仮定する。
 説明の簡略化のため、実施の形態1と同様に、走行信頼度は「高」と「低」の2段階とする。また、全ての周辺車両2の速度は同一であり、時間が経っても周辺車両2の位置関係は変化しないものとする。また、走行信頼度「低」の周辺車両2(すなわち、高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施していない周辺車両2)が、自車両の前方、後方または側方に存在すると、自車両1に一定の運転リスクが発生するものとする。ここでいう前方、後方および側方は、それぞれ自車両1から予め定められた距離内における前方、後方および側方を意味する。
 例えば、図13の状態から、自車両1が図14に示すように移動する場合、自車両1が位置P[t1]にあるときは、自車両1の前方、後方および右側方の3方向に、走行信頼度「低」の周辺車両2(2-1~2-3)が存在するため、このときの運転リスクを3点とする。自車両1が位置P[t2]にあるときは、自車両1の後方および左側方の2方向に、走行信頼度「低」の周辺車両2(2-2,2-3)が存在するため、このときの運転リスクを2点とする。また、自車両1が位置P[t8]にあるときは、どの方向にも走行信頼度「低」の周辺車両2が存在せず(周辺車両2-7は自車両1から十分遠い)、このときの運転リスクは0点である。
 走行信頼度「低」の周辺車両2による運転リスクの値は、その周辺車両2と自車両1との位置関係に応じて変化してもよい。例えば、自車両1の前方の周辺車両2による運転リスクは1.5点、自車両1の後方の周辺車両2による運転リスクは1点、自車両1の側方の周辺車両2による運転リスクは0.5点などと規定してもよい。また、自車両1から周辺車両2までの距離が小さくなるほど、周辺車両2による運転リスクが高くなるようにしてもよい。
 実施の形態3の運転支援計画策定部14は、このように自車両1と走行信頼度「低」の周辺車両2との位置関係に基づいて、各位置における自車両1の運転リスクを計算する。そして、自車両1が運転リスクが最も小さくなる位置(図13においては位置P[t8])、つまり自車両1の近くに位置する走行信頼度「低」の周辺車両2が少なくなる位置へと移動するような運転支援計画を策定し、策定した運転支援計画に従って自車両1の運転支援装置24を制御する。実際には、周辺車両2それぞれの速度には差があるため、周辺車両2同士の位置関係の変化も考慮して、運転リスクの算出および運転支援計画の策定を行う必要がある。
 実施の形態3の運転支援制御装置10によれば、自車両1の周辺に存在する走行信頼度の低い周辺車両2がなるべく少なくなる運転支援計画が策定され、それに沿った運転支援が行われるため、自車両1の運転リスクを低くでき、自車両1の走行の安全性および信頼性が向上する。
 [変形例]
 実施の形態3では、周辺車両2が走行している車線を区別したが、車線を区別せずに、自車両1と周辺車両2との進行方向の位置関係のみから運転リスクを算出してもよい。つまり、自車両1と同じ車線の周辺車両2による運転リスクと隣接車線の周辺車両2による運転リスクに差はないものとしてもよい。
 また、図14では、自車両1が走行信頼度「低」の周辺車両2が少なくなる位置へ移動するために追い越しを行う例を示したが、必ずしも追い越しを行わなくてもよく、自車両1が走行する車線の選択のみを行ってもよい。つまり、周辺車両信頼度判断部13が、走行信頼度「高」の周辺車両2および走行信頼度「低」の周辺車両2の台数や密度を車線ごとに算出し、自車両1がどの車線を走行すると運転リスクが低いかを判断して、自車両1が運転リスクの低い車線を走行するように運転支援計画を策定してもよい。走行信頼度「高」の周辺車両2が多い車線、あるいは、走行信頼度「低」の周辺車両2が少ない車線が、運転リスクの低い車線となる。
 また、運転支援制御装置10は、自車両1が追い越し車線へ車線変更して元の車線へ戻る際に、元の車線における走行信頼度「高」の周辺車両2および走行信頼度「低」の周辺車両2の台数や密度を考慮して、自車両1が元の車線に戻る位置を制御してもよい。例えば図15の状況であれば(右側車線が追い越し車線)、近くに走行信頼度「低」の周辺車両2が存在しない領域32が、自車両1が元の車線(左側車線)へ戻る推奨位置である。
 実施の形態3では、運転支援装置24による運転支援として走行制御を実施したが、運転支援は自車両1の運転を支援するための情報を運転者に通知することであってもよい。例えば、図13のような周辺車両2の分布状況を示す画像や、図14のような推奨経路を示す画像、図15のような追い越し後に元の車線へ戻る推奨位置を示す画像などを、運転者に提示してもよい。
 <ハードウェア構成例>
 図16および図17は、それぞれ運転支援制御装置10のハードウェア構成の例を示す図である。図1に示した運転支援制御装置10の構成要素の各機能は、例えば図16に示す処理回路50により実現される。すなわち、運転支援制御装置10は、自車両の周辺に存在する他車両である周辺車両の位置を認識し、周辺車両が車線ごとの道路データを含む高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施しているか否かの情報を含む周辺車両制御情報を取得し、周辺車両制御情報に基づいて、周辺車両の走行の信頼度である走行信頼度を判断し、周辺車両の走行信頼度に基づいて、自車両をなるべく走行信頼度の高い周辺車両と共に走行させる運転支援計画、または、自車両をなるべく走行信頼度の低い周辺車両と共に走行させない運転支援計画を策定し、運転支援計画に従って自車両の運転支援装置を制御するための処理回路50を備える。処理回路50は、専用のハードウェアであってもよいし、メモリに格納されたプログラムを実行するプロセッサ(中央処理装置(CPU:Central Processing Unit)、処理装置、演算装置、マイクロプロセッサ、マイクロコンピュータ、DSP(Digital Signal Processor)とも呼ばれる)を用いて構成されていてもよい。
 処理回路50が専用のハードウェアである場合、処理回路50は、例えば、単一回路、複合回路、プログラム化したプロセッサ、並列プログラム化したプロセッサ、ASIC(Application Specific Integrated Circuit)、FPGA(Field-Programmable Gate Array)、またはこれらを組み合わせたものなどが該当する。運転支援制御装置10の構成要素の各々の機能が個別の処理回路で実現されてもよいし、それらの機能がまとめて一つの処理回路で実現されてもよい。
 図17は、処理回路50がプログラムを実行するプロセッサ51を用いて構成されている場合における運転支援制御装置10のハードウェア構成の例を示している。この場合、運転支援制御装置10の構成要素の機能は、ソフトウェア等(ソフトウェア、ファームウェア、またはソフトウェアとファームウェアとの組み合わせ)により実現される。ソフトウェア等はプログラムとして記述され、メモリ52に格納される。プロセッサ51は、メモリ52に記憶されたプログラムを読み出して実行することにより、各部の機能を実現する。すなわち、運転支援制御装置10は、プロセッサ51により実行されるときに、自車両の周辺に存在する他車両である周辺車両の位置を認識する処理と、周辺車両が車線ごとの道路データを含む高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施しているか否かの情報を含む周辺車両制御情報を取得する処理と、周辺車両制御情報に基づいて、周辺車両の走行の信頼度である走行信頼度を判断する処理と、周辺車両の走行信頼度に基づいて、自車両をなるべく走行信頼度の高い周辺車両と共に走行させる運転支援計画、または、自車両をなるべく走行信頼度の低い周辺車両と共に走行させない運転支援計画を策定し、運転支援計画に従って自車両の運転支援装置を制御する処理と、が結果的に実行されることになるプログラムを格納するためのメモリ52を備える。換言すれば、このプログラムは、運転支援制御装置10の構成要素の動作の手順や方法をコンピュータに実行させるものであるともいえる。
 ここで、メモリ52は、例えば、RAM(Random Access Memory)、ROM(Read Only Memory)、フラッシュメモリ、EPROM(Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory)、EEPROM(Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory)などの、不揮発性または揮発性の半導体メモリ、HDD(Hard Disk Drive)、磁気ディスク、フレキシブルディスク、光ディスク、コンパクトディスク、ミニディスク、DVD(Digital Versatile Disc)およびそのドライブ装置等、または、今後使用されるあらゆる記憶媒体であってもよい。
 以上、運転支援制御装置10の構成要素の機能が、ハードウェアおよびソフトウェア等のいずれか一方で実現される構成について説明した。しかしこれに限ったものではなく、運転支援制御装置10の一部の構成要素を専用のハードウェアで実現し、別の一部の構成要素をソフトウェア等で実現する構成であってもよい。例えば、一部の構成要素については専用のハードウェアとしての処理回路50でその機能を実現し、他の一部の構成要素についてはプロセッサ51としての処理回路50がメモリ52に格納されたプログラムを読み出して実行することによってその機能を実現することが可能である。
 以上のように、運転支援制御装置10は、ハードウェア、ソフトウェア等、またはこれらの組み合わせによって、上述の各機能を実現することができる。
 なお、各実施の形態を自由に組み合わせたり、各実施の形態を適宜、変形、省略したりすることが可能である。
 上記した説明は、すべての態様において、例示であって、例示されていない無数の変形例が想定され得るものと解される。

Claims (14)

  1.  自車両の周辺に存在する他車両である周辺車両の位置を認識する周辺車両認識部と、
     前記周辺車両が車線ごとの道路データを含む高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施しているか否かの情報を含む周辺車両制御情報を取得する周辺車両制御情報取得部と、
     前記周辺車両制御情報に基づいて、前記周辺車両の走行の信頼度である走行信頼度を判断する周辺車両信頼度判断部と、
     前記周辺車両の前記走行信頼度に基づいて、前記自車両をなるべく前記走行信頼度の高い前記周辺車両と共に走行させる運転支援計画、または、前記自車両をなるべく前記走行信頼度の低い前記周辺車両と共に走行させない運転支援計画を策定し、前記運転支援計画に従って前記自車両の運転支援装置を制御する運転支援計画策定部と、
    を備える運転支援制御装置。
  2.  前記周辺車両信頼度判断部は、前記高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施している前記周辺車両の前記走行信頼度を、前記高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施していない前記周辺車両の前記走行信頼度よりも高いと判断する、
    請求項1に記載の運転支援制御装置。
  3.  前記周辺車両制御情報はさらに、前記周辺車両が実施中の自動運転レベルの情報を含み、
     前記周辺車両信頼度判断部は、前記自動運転レベルを加味して、前記周辺車両の走行信頼度を判断する、
    請求項1に記載の運転支援制御装置。
  4.  前記周辺車両信頼度判断部は、前記高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施しているか否かに基づいて算出される前記周辺車両の第1の信頼度要素と、前記自動運転レベルに基づいて算出される前記周辺車両の第2の信頼度要素とを算出し、前記第1の信頼度要素および前記第2の信頼度要素に基づいて前記周辺車両の走行信頼度を判断する、
    請求項3に記載の運転支援制御装置。
  5.  前記運転支援計画策定部は、前記自車両をなるべく前記走行信頼度の高い前記周辺車両に追従走行させる前記運転支援計画を策定する、
    請求項1に記載の運転支援制御装置。
  6.  前記運転支援計画策定部は、前記自車両の周辺に存在する前記走行信頼度の低い前記周辺車両がなるべく少なくなる前記運転支援計画を策定する、
    請求項1に記載の運転支援制御装置。
  7.  前記運転支援計画策定部は、前記自車両になるべく前記走行信頼度の高い前記周辺車両が多い車線を走行させる前記運転支援計画、または、前記自車両になるべく前記走行信頼度の低い前記周辺車両が少ない車線を走行させる前記運転支援計画を策定する、
    請求項1に記載の運転支援制御装置。
  8.  前記運転支援計画策定部は、前記自車両が車線変更して他車両を追い越す場合、追い越し後に元の車線に復帰する位置を前記周辺車両の前記走行信頼度に基づいて決定する、
    請求項7に記載の運転支援制御装置。
  9.  前記自車両を前記運転支援計画に沿って走行させるための運転方法を、前記自車両の運転者に通知する、
    請求項1に記載の運転支援制御装置。
  10.  前記運転方法の通知は、前記自車両をなるべく前記走行信頼度の高い前記周辺車両と共に走行させるための走行位置、または、前記自車両をなるべく前記走行信頼度の低い前記周辺車両と共に走行させないための走行位置を表示装置に表示することを含む、
    請求項9に記載の運転支援制御装置。
  11.  前記周辺車両制御情報は、前記周辺車両が利用する前記高精度地図の仕様の情報をさらに含み、
     前記周辺車両信頼度判断部は、前記自車両の高精度地図の仕様により近い仕様の前記高精度地図を利用する前記周辺車両ほど前記走行信頼度が高いと判断する、
    請求項1に記載の運転支援制御装置。
  12.  前記周辺車両制御情報は、前記周辺車両が車線ごとの道路データを含まない通常精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施しているか否かの情報をさらに含み、
     前記周辺車両信頼度判断部は、前記通常精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施している前記周辺車両の前記走行信頼度を、前記高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施している前記周辺車両の前記走行信頼度よりも低く、且つ、地図を用いた走行制御を実施していない前記周辺車両の前記走行信頼度よりも高いと判断する、
    請求項1に記載の運転支援制御装置。
  13.  前記周辺車両制御情報はさらに、前記周辺車両が実施中の自動運転レベルの情報を含み、
     前記周辺車両信頼度判断部は、前記自動運転レベルを加味して、前記周辺車両の走行信頼度を判断する、
    請求項12に記載の運転支援制御装置。
  14.  運転支援制御装置の周辺車両認識部が、自車両の周辺に存在する他車両である周辺車両の位置を認識し、
     前記運転支援制御装置の周辺車両制御情報取得部が、前記周辺車両が車線ごとの道路データを含む高精度地図を用いた走行制御を実施しているか否かの情報を含む周辺車両制御情報を取得し、
     前記運転支援制御装置の周辺車両信頼度判断部が、前記周辺車両制御情報に基づいて、前記周辺車両の走行の信頼度である走行信頼度を判断し、
     前記運転支援制御装置の運転支援計画策定部が、前記周辺車両の前記走行信頼度に基づいて、前記自車両をなるべく前記走行信頼度の高い前記周辺車両と共に走行させる運転支援計画、または、前記自車両をなるべく前記走行信頼度の低い前記周辺車両と共に走行させない運転支援計画を策定し、前記運転支援計画に従って前記自車両の運転支援装置を制御する、
    運転支援制御方法。
