Description

高周波モジュールおよび通信装置
 本発明は、高周波モジュールおよび通信装置に関する。
 携帯電話などの移動体通信機器では、特に、マルチバンド化の進展に伴い、高周波フロントエンド回路を構成する回路素子の配置構成が複雑化されている。
 特許文献1には、複数の送信機(送信経路)および複数の受信機(受信経路)と、当該複数の送信機および複数の受信機とアンテナとの間に配置されたスイッチプレクサ(アンテナスイッチ)と、を備えたトランシーバ(送受信回路)の回路構成が開示されている。上記複数の送信機のそれぞれは、送信回路、PA(送信電力増幅器)、および出力回路を有し、上記複数の受信機のそれぞれは、受信回路、LNA(受信低雑音増幅器)、および入力回路を有している。出力回路は、送信フィルタ、インピーダンス整合回路、およびデュプレクサなどを含み、入力回路は、受信フィルタ、インピーダンス整合回路、およびデュプレクサなどを含む。上記構成によれば、スイッチプレクサの切り替え動作により、同時送信、同時受信、または同時送受信を実行できる。

 しかしながら、特許文献1に開示されたトランシーバ(送受信回路)を、移動体通信機器に搭載される高周波モジュールで構成する場合、送信経路、受信経路、およびアンテナスイッチを含む送受信経路のそれぞれに配置されたインダクタの少なくとも2つが電磁界結合することが想定される。この場合、PA(送信電力増幅器)で増幅された高出力の送信信号の高調波成分が送信信号に重畳され、送信信号の品質が低下する場合がある。また、上記電磁界結合により送受信間のアイソレーションが低下し、上記高調波、または、送信信号と他の高周波信号との相互変調歪などの不要波が、受信経路に流入して受信感度が劣化する場合がある。
 本発明は、上記課題を解決するためになされたものであって、送信信号または受信信号の品質劣化が抑制された高周波モジュールおよび通信装置を提供することを目的とする。
 本発明の一態様に係る高周波モジュールは、主面を有するモジュール基板と、主面に配置された第1インダクタおよび第2インダクタと、主面、第1インダクタおよび第2インダクタの少なくとも一部を覆う樹脂部材と、樹脂部材の表面を覆い、グランド電位に設定された金属シールド層と、主面上であって、モジュール基板を平面視した場合に第1インダクタと第2インダクタとの間に配置された第1金属シールド板と、を備え、第1金属シールド板は、主面のグランド電極および金属シールド層に接しており、第1インダクタは、送信信号を伝送する送信経路、受信信号を伝送する受信経路、および、送信信号および受信信号を伝送する送受信経路のいずれかに配置されており、第2インダクタは、送信経路、受信経路および送受信経路のうちの第1インダクタが配置された経路を除く経路のいずれかに配置されている。
 本発明によれば、送信信号または受信信号の品質劣化が抑制された高周波モジュールおよび通信装置を提供することが可能となる。

 [1.1 高周波モジュール1および通信装置5の回路構成]
 図1は、実施の形態1に係る高周波モジュール1および通信装置5の回路構成図である。同図に示すように、通信装置5は、高周波モジュール1と、アンテナ2と、RF信号処理回路(RFIC)3と、ベースバンド信号処理回路(BBIC)4と、を備える。
 RFIC3は、アンテナ2で送受信される高周波信号を処理するRF信号処理回路である。具体的には、RFIC3は、高周波モジュール1の受信信号経路を介して入力された高周波受信信号を、ダウンコンバートなどにより信号処理し、当該信号処理して生成された受信信号をBBIC4へ出力する。また、RFIC3は、BBIC4から入力された送信信号をアップコンバートなどにより信号処理し、当該信号処理して生成された高周波送信信号を、高周波モジュール1の送信信号経路に出力する。
 BBIC4は、高周波モジュール1を伝搬する高周波信号よりも低周波の中間周波数帯域を用いて信号処理する回路である。BBIC4で処理された信号は、例えば、画像表示のための画像信号として使用され、または、スピーカを介した通話のために音声信号として使用される。
 また、RFIC3は、使用される通信バンド(周波数帯域)に基づいて、高周波モジュール1が有するスイッチ40、41および42の接続を制御する制御部としての機能も有する。具体的には、RFIC3は、制御信号(図示せず)により高周波モジュール1が有するスイッチ40~42の接続を切り替える。具体的には、RFIC3は、スイッチ40~42を制御するためのディジタル制御信号をPA制御回路15に出力する。高周波モジュール1のPA制御回路15は、RFIC3から入力されたディジタル制御信号によって、スイッチ40~42にディジタル制御信号を出力することで、スイッチ40~42の接続および非接続を制御する。

 アンテナ2は、高周波モジュール1のアンテナ接続端子100に接続され、高周波モジュール1から出力された高周波信号を放射し、また、外部からの高周波信号を受信して高周波モジュール1へ出力する。
 なお、本実施の形態に係る通信装置5において、アンテナ2およびBBIC4は、必須の構成要素ではない。
 次に、高周波モジュール1の詳細な構成について説明する。
 図1に示すように、高周波モジュール1は、電力増幅器10と、低雑音増幅器20と、PA制御回路15と、送信フィルタ31および33と、受信フィルタ32および34と、整合回路50、51、52、53、および54と、スイッチ40、41および42と、アンテナ接続端子100と、送信入力端子110と、受信出力端子120と、制御信号端子130と、を備える。
 アンテナ接続端子100は、アンテナ2に接続される。送信入力端子110は、送信信号を高周波モジュール1の外部(RFIC3)から受けるための端子である。受信出力端子120は、受信信号を高周波モジュール1の外部(RFIC3)に供給するための端子である。

 PA制御回路15は、制御信号端子130を介して入力されたディジタル制御信号MIPIなどによって、電力増幅器10の利得を調整する。なお、PA制御回路15は、半導体IC(Integrated Circuit)で形成されていてもよい。半導体ICは、例えば、CMOS(Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor)で構成されている。具体的には、SOI(Silicon On Insulator)プロセスにより形成されている。これにより、半導体ICを安価に製造することが可能となる。なお、半導体ICは、GaAs、SiGeおよびGaNの少なくともいずれかで構成されていてもよい。これにより、高品質な増幅性能および雑音性能を有する高周波信号を出力することが可能となる。
 送信フィルタ31は、電力増幅器10とスイッチ40とを結ぶ送信経路ATに配置され、電力増幅器10で増幅された送信信号のうち、通信バンドAの送信帯域の送信信号を通過させる。また、送信フィルタ33は、電力増幅器10とスイッチ40とを結ぶ送信経路BTに配置され、電力増幅器10で増幅された送信信号のうち、通信バンドBの送信帯域の送信信号を通過させる。
 受信フィルタ32は、低雑音増幅器20とスイッチ40とを結ぶ受信経路ARに配置され、アンテナ接続端子100から入力された受信信号のうち、通信バンドAの受信帯域の受信信号を通過させる。また、受信フィルタ34は、低雑音増幅器20とスイッチ40とを結ぶ受信経路BRに配置され、アンテナ接続端子100から入力された受信信号のうち、通信バンドBの受信帯域の受信信号を通過させる。
 なお、上記の送信フィルタ31および33、受信フィルタ32および34は、例えば、弾性表面波フィルタ、BAW(Bulk Acoustic Wave)を用いた弾性波フィルタ、LC共振フィルタ、および誘電体フィルタのいずれであってもよく、さらには、これらには限定されない。
 送信フィルタ31および受信フィルタ32は、通信バンドAを通過帯域とするデュプレクサ30を構成している。また、送信フィルタ33および受信フィルタ34は、通信バンドBを通過帯域とするデュプレクサ35を構成している。
 なお、デュプレクサ30および35のそれぞれは、時分割複信(TDD:Time Division Duplex)方式で伝送する1つのフィルタであってもよい。この場合には、上記1つのフィルタの前段および後段の少なくとも一方に、送信および受信を切り替えるスイッチが配置される。
 整合回路50は、アンテナ接続端子100とスイッチ40とを結ぶ送受信経路CTRに配置され、アンテナ2と、スイッチ40、デュプレクサ30および35とのインピーダンス整合をとる。整合回路50は、少なくとも1つのインダクタを有している。なお、整合回路50は、送受信経路CTRに直列配置されていてもよいし、送受信経路CTRとグランドとの間に接続されていてもよい。
 整合回路51は、電力増幅器10と送信フィルタ31とを結ぶ送信経路ATに配置され、電力増幅器10と送信フィルタ31とのインピーダンス整合をとる。整合回路51は、少なくとも1つのインダクタを有している。なお、整合回路51は、送信経路ATに直列配置されていてもよいし、送信経路ATとグランドとの間に接続されていてもよい。
 整合回路53は、電力増幅器10と送信フィルタ33とを結ぶ送信経路BTに配置され、電力増幅器10と送信フィルタ33とのインピーダンス整合をとる。整合回路53は、少なくとも1つのインダクタを有している。なお、整合回路53は、送信経路BTに直列配置されていてもよいし、送信経路BTとグランドとの間に接続されていてもよい。
 整合回路52は、低雑音増幅器20と受信フィルタ32とを結ぶ受信経路ARに配置され、低雑音増幅器20と受信フィルタ32とのインピーダンス整合をとる。整合回路52は、少なくとも1つのインダクタを有している。なお、整合回路52は、受信経路ARに直列配置されていてもよいし、受信経路ARとグランドとの間に接続されていてもよい。
 整合回路54は、低雑音増幅器20と受信フィルタ34とを結ぶ受信経路BRに配置され、低雑音増幅器20と受信フィルタ34とのインピーダンス整合をとる。整合回路54は、少なくとも1つのインダクタを有している。なお、整合回路54は、受信経路BRに直列配置されていてもよいし、受信経路BRとグランドとの間に接続されていてもよい。
 なお、整合回路51および53に代わって、または、整合回路51および53に加えて、電力増幅器10とスイッチ41との間の送信経路に整合回路が配置されていてもよい。
 スイッチ40は、共通端子40a、選択端子40bおよび40cを有し、共通端子40aが整合回路50を介してアンテナ接続端子100に接続され、選択端子40bがデュプレクサ30に接続され、選択端子40cがデュプレクサ35に接続されている。つまり、スイッチ40は、アンテナ接続端子100とデュプレクサ30および35との間に配置されたアンテナスイッチであり、(1)アンテナ接続端子100とデュプレクサ30との接続および非接続を切り替え、(2)アンテナ接続端子100とデュプレクサ35との接続および非接続を切り替える。なお、スイッチ40は、上記(1)および(2)の接続を同時に行うことが可能なマルチ接続型のスイッチ回路で構成される。
 なお、整合回路52および54に代わって、または、整合回路52および54に加えて、低雑音増幅器20とスイッチ42との間の受信経路に整合回路が配置されていてもよい。
 また、整合回路50に代わって、または、整合回路50に加えて、スイッチ40とデュプレクサ30とを結ぶ送受信経路およびスイッチ40とデュプレクサ35とを結ぶ送受信経路に、整合回路が配置されていてもよい。
 スイッチ41は、共通端子41a、選択端子41bおよび41cを有し、電力増幅器10と送信フィルタ31および33とを結ぶ送信経路に配置され、電力増幅器10と送信フィルタ31との接続、および、電力増幅器10と送信フィルタ33との接続、を切り替える。スイッチ41は、例えば、共通端子41aが電力増幅器10の出力端子に接続され、選択端子41bが整合回路51を介して送信フィルタ31に接続され、選択端子41cが整合回路53を介して送信フィルタ33に接続された、SPDT(Single Pole Double Throw)型のスイッチ回路で構成される。
 スイッチ42は、共通端子42a、選択端子42bおよび42cを有し、低雑音増幅器20と受信フィルタ32および34とを結ぶ受信経路に配置され、低雑音増幅器20と受信フィルタ32との接続、および、低雑音増幅器20と受信フィルタ34との接続、を切り替える。スイッチ42は、例えば、共通端子42aが低雑音増幅器20の入力端子に接続され、選択端子42bが整合回路52を介して受信フィルタ32に接続され、選択端子42cが整合回路54を介して受信フィルタ34に接続された、SPDT型のスイッチ回路で構成される。
 なお、送信経路ATは、通信バンドAの送信信号を伝送し、送信入力端子110とスイッチ40の共通端子40aとを結ぶ信号経路である。また、送信経路BTは、通信バンドBの送信信号を伝送し、送信入力端子110とスイッチ40の共通端子40aとを結ぶ信号経路である。また、受信経路ARは、通信バンドAの受信信号を伝送し、受信出力端子120とスイッチ40の共通端子40aとを結ぶ信号経路である。また、受信経路BRは、通信バンドBの受信信号を伝送し、受信出力端子120とスイッチ40の共通端子40aとを結ぶ信号経路である。また、送受信経路CTRは、通信バンドAの送信信号および受信信号、ならびに、通信バンドBの送信信号および受信信号を伝送し、アンテナ接続端子100とスイッチ40の共通端子40aとを結ぶ信号経路である。
 上記回路構成を有する高周波モジュール1において、電力増幅器10、スイッチ41、整合回路51、および送信フィルタ31は、アンテナ接続端子100に向けて通信バンドAの送信信号を出力する第1送信回路を構成する。また、電力増幅器10、スイッチ41、整合回路53、および送信フィルタ33は、アンテナ接続端子100に向けて通信バンドBの送信信号を出力する第2送信回路を構成する。
 また、低雑音増幅器20、スイッチ42、整合回路52、および受信フィルタ32は、アンテナ2からアンテナ接続端子100を介して通信バンドAの受信信号を入力する第1受信回路を構成する。また、低雑音増幅器20、スイッチ42、整合回路54、および受信フィルタ34は、アンテナ2からアンテナ接続端子100を介して通信バンドBの受信信号を入力する第2受信回路を構成する。
 上記回路構成によれば、本実施の形態に係る高周波モジュール1は、(1)通信バンドAの高周波信号の送受信、(2)通信バンドBの高周波信号の送受信、および(3)通信バンドAの高周波信号と通信バンドBの高周波信号との同時送信、同時受信、または同時送受信、の少なくともいずれかを実行することが可能である。
 なお、本発明に係る高周波モジュールでは、送信回路および受信回路がスイッチ40を介してアンテナ接続端子100に接続されていなくてもよく、上記送信回路および上記受信回路が、異なる端子を介してアンテナ2に接続されていてもよい。また、本発明に係る高周波モジュールの回路構成として、送信経路、受信経路、および送受信経路のうちの少なくとも2つの経路と、当該2つの経路に配置された各整合回路を有していればよい。また、第1送信回路および第2送信回路のうちのいずれかを有していればよい。また、第1受信回路および第2受信回路のうちのいずれかを有していればよい。
 ここで、上記回路構成を有する高周波モジュール1において、送信経路、受信経路、および送受信経路のそれぞれに配置された整合回路の少なくとも2つが電磁界結合すると、電力増幅器で増幅された高出力の送信信号の高調波成分が送信信号に重畳され、送信信号の品質が低下する場合がある。また、上記電磁界結合により送受信間のアイソレーションが低下し、上記高調波、または、送信信号と他の高周波信号との相互変調歪などの不要波が、受信経路に流入して受信感度が劣化する場合がある。
 これに対して、本実施の形態に係る高周波モジュール1では、上記電磁界結合を抑制する構成を有している。以下では、本実施の形態に係る高周波モジュール1の上記電磁界結合を抑制する構成について説明する。
 [1.2 実施の形態1に係る高周波モジュール1Aの回路部品配置構成]
 図2は、実施の形態1に係る高周波モジュール1Aの平面図および断面図である。図2の(a)には、モジュール基板91の主面91aをz軸正方向側から見た場合の回路部品の配置図が示されている。また、図2の(b)には、図2の(a)のII-II線における断面図が示されている。高周波モジュール1Aは、実施の形態に係る高周波モジュール1を構成する各回路部品の配置構成を具体的に示したものである。
 図2に示すように、本実施の形態に係る高周波モジュール1Aは、図1に示された回路構成に加えて、さらに、モジュール基板91と、金属シールド板70と、金属シールド層95と、樹脂部材92と、外部接続端子150と、を有している。
 モジュール基板91は、主面91a上に、第1および第2送信回路、ならびに第1および第2受信回路を実装する基板である。モジュール基板91としては、例えば、複数の誘電体層の積層構造を有する低温同時焼成セラミックス(Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramics:LTCC)基板、高温同時焼成セラミックス(High Temperature Co-fired Ceramics:HTCC)基板、部品内蔵基板、再配線層(Redistribution Layer:RDL)を有する基板、または、プリント基板等が用いられる。なお、モジュール基板91上に、アンテナ接続端子100、送信入力端子110、受信出力端子120および制御信号端子130が形成されていてもよい。
 樹脂部材92は、モジュール基板91の主面91aに配置され、第1および第2送信回路、ならびに第1および第2受信回路を構成する回路部品の少なくとも一部、ならびにモジュール基板91の主面91aを覆っており、上記回路部品の機械強度および耐湿性などの信頼性を確保する機能を有している。なお、樹脂部材92は、本発明に係る高周波モジュールに必須の構成要素ではない。
 外部接続端子150は、モジュール基板91の主面91bに配置されている。高周波モジュール1Aは、高周波モジュール1Aのz軸負方向側に配置される外部基板と、複数の外部接続端子150を経由して、電気信号のやりとりを行う。また、複数の外部接続端子150のうちのグランド端子150gは、外部基板のグランド電位に設定される。なお、外部接続端子150は、図2に示すように、主面91bに形成された平面電極であってもよいし、また、主面91b上に形成されたバンプ電極であってもよい。
 金属シールド層95は、樹脂部材92の表面を覆い、グランド電位に設定されている。金属シールド層95は、例えば、スパッタ法により形成された金属薄膜である。
 金属シールド板70は、第1金属シールド板の一例であり、主面91aから樹脂部材92のz軸正方向側の天面に向けて立設された金属壁体である。金属シールド板70は、主面91aのグランド電極および金属シールド層95に接している。つまり、金属シールド板70は、その上方および下方の少なくとも2か所でグランドに接続されているので、電磁界遮蔽機能が強化されている。なお、金属シールド板70は、主面91aのグランド電極、および、金属シールド層95を構成するシールド面のうち樹脂部材92の天面に接するシールド面と接していてもよく、また、主面91aのグランド電極、および、金属シールド層95を構成するシールド面のうち樹脂部材92の側面に接するシールド面と接していてもよい。金属シールド板70の詳細な構造については図3A~図3Fを用いて後述する。
 また、金属シールド板70は、主面91aを、領域Pと領域Qとに区画している。図2の(a)に示すように、電力増幅器10、PA制御回路15、整合回路51、53、およびスイッチ41は、主面91aの領域Pに配置されている。また、低雑音増幅器20、デュプレクサ30および35、整合回路50、52および54、ならびにスイッチ40および42は、主面91aの領域Qに配置されている。
 なお、図2には図示していないが、図1に示された送信経路ATおよびBT、受信経路ARおよびBR、並びに送受信経路CTRを構成する配線は、モジュール基板91の内部、主面91aおよび91bに形成されている。また、上記配線は、両端が主面91a、91bおよび高周波モジュール1Aを構成する回路部品のいずれかに接合されたボンディングワイヤであってもよく、また、高周波モジュール1Aを構成する回路部品の表面に形成された端子、電極または配線であってもよい。
 本実施の形態では、整合回路50は、アンテナ接続端子100とスイッチ40の共通端子40aとを結ぶ送受信経路CTRに配置され、第1インダクタを含む。一方、整合回路51は、送信入力端子110とスイッチ40の共通端子40aとを結ぶ送信経路ATに配置され、第2インダクタを含む。
 ここで、図2に示すように、金属シールド板70は、主面91a上であって、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合に整合回路50の第1インダクタと整合回路51の第2インダクタとの間に配置されている。
 これによれば、送信経路ATに配置された第2インダクタと送受信経路CTRに配置された第1インダクタとが、グランド電位に設定された金属シールド板70を挟んで配置されているので、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとの電磁界結合を抑制できる。よって、電力増幅器10で増幅され、高調波成分が重畳された高出力の送信信号が送信フィルタ31を経由せずにアンテナ接続端子100から出力されることで送信信号の品質が低下することを抑制できる。また、上記電磁界結合により上記高調波または送信信号と他の高周波信号との相互変調歪などの不要波が、受信経路ARまたはBRに流入して受信感度が劣化することを抑制できる。
 なお、金属シールド板70により分離配置される第1インダクタおよび第2インダクタの組み合わせは、送受信経路に配置されたインダクタおよび送信経路に配置されたインダクタの組み合わせに限られない。
 第1インダクタおよび第2インダクタの組み合わせとしては、送受信経路に配置されたインダクタおよび受信経路に配置されたインダクタの組み合わせであってもよい。これによれば、電力増幅器10で増幅された高出力の送信信号およびその高調波成分が受信フィルタ32または34を経由せずに受信経路ARまたはBRに流入して受信感度が劣化することを抑制できる。
 また、第1インダクタおよび第2インダクタの組み合わせとしては、送信経路に配置されたインダクタおよび受信経路に配置されたインダクタの組み合わせであってもよい。これによれば、電力増幅器10で増幅された高出力の送信信号およびその高調波成分が送信フィルタ31または33、および、受信フィルタ32または34を経由せずに受信経路ARまたはBRに流入して受信感度が劣化することを抑制できる。
 つまり、第1インダクタは、送信経路、受信経路および送受信経路のいずれかに配置されており、第2インダクタは、送信経路、受信経路および送受信経路のうちの第1インダクタが配置された経路を除く経路のいずれかに配置されていればよい。
 また、本実施の形態に係る高周波モジュール1Aにおいて、送信経路ATおよびBTに配置された回路部品(電力増幅器10、PA制御回路15、整合回路51、53、およびスイッチ41)は、主面91aの領域Pに配置されており、受信経路ARおよびBRに配置された回路部品(低雑音増幅器20、整合回路52および54、ならびにスイッチ42)は、主面91aの領域Qに配置されている。つまり、送信経路に配置された回路部品と受信経路に配置された回路部品とが、金属シールド板70で分離配置されている。これによれば、送受信間のアイソレーションを向上させることが可能となる。
 また、本実施の形態に係る高周波モジュール1Aにおいて、低雑音増幅器20およびスイッチ42は、1つの半導体IC60に含まれていてもよい。これにより、高周波モジュール1Aを低背化でき、また主面91aの部品実装面積を小さくできる。よって、高周波モジュール1Aを小型化できる。さらに、半導体IC60は、スイッチ40および41の少なくとも1つを含んでもよい。
 [1.3 金属シールド板の構造]
 次に、本実施の形態に係る高周波モジュール1Aが有する金属シールド板70の構造について説明する。
 図3Aは、金属シールド板70Aの外観斜視図である。同図に示された金属シールド板70Aは、実施の形態に係る金属シールド板70の一例である。金属シールド板70Aは、主面91a(図示せず)から樹脂部材92(図示せず)の天面に向けて(z軸方向に)立設されている。金属シールド板70Aと主面91aとの間には、金属シールド板70Aの法線方向(x軸方向)に貫通する穴72が形成されている。
 また、金属シールド板70Aは、主面91aから樹脂部材92の天面に向けて(z軸方向に)立設された本体部71と、主面91a側であって主面91aと平行に延設され、主面91a上のグランド電極(図示せず)と接合された接合部73と、を有している。
 金属シールド板70Aの構造によれば、本体部71と主面91aとの間に穴72が形成されているので、樹脂部材92を主面91a上に形成する工程において、金属シールド板70Aの近傍における液状樹脂の良好な流動性を確保できる。よって、金属シールド板70Aの近傍において樹脂部材92が形成されていない空隙などの発生を抑制できる。
 図3Bは、金属シールド板70Bの外観斜視図である。同図に示された金属シールド板70Bは、実施の形態に係る金属シールド板70の一例である。金属シールド板70Bは、主面91a(図示せず)から樹脂部材92(図示せず)の天面に向けて(z軸方向に)立設されている。金属シールド板70Bと樹脂部材92の天面との間には、金属シールド板70Bの法線方向(x軸方向)に貫通する穴72が形成されている。
 また、金属シールド板70Bは、主面91aから樹脂部材92の天面に向けて(z軸方向に)立設された本体部71と、主面91a側であって主面91aと平行に延設され、主面91a上のグランド電極(図示せず)と接合された接合部73と、を有している。
 金属シールド板70Bの構造によれば、本体部71と上記天面との間に穴72が形成されているので、樹脂部材92を主面91a上に形成する工程において、金属シールド板70Bの近傍における液状樹脂の良好な流動性を確保できる。よって、金属シールド板70Bの近傍において樹脂部材92が形成されていない空隙などの発生を抑制できる。さらに、主面91aと接する領域(本体部71の下方領域)には、穴72が形成されていないので、金属シールド板70Bを介して主面91a上に配置された回路部品間のアイソレーションが向上する。
 図3Cは、金属シールド板70Cの外観斜視図である。同図に示された金属シールド板70Cは、実施の形態に係る金属シールド板70の一例である。金属シールド板70Cは、主面91a(図示せず)から樹脂部材92(図示せず)の天面に向けて(z軸方向に)立設されている。主面91aと樹脂部材92の天面との間には、金属シールド板70Cの法線方向(x軸方向)に貫通する穴72が形成されている。
 また、金属シールド板70Cは、主面91aから樹脂部材92の天面に向けて(z軸方向に)立設された本体部71と、主面91a側であって主面91aと平行に延設され、主面91a上のグランド電極(図示せず)と接合された接合部73と、を有している。金属シールド板70Cでは、複数の本体部71が穴72を介して離散的に配置されており、また、複数の接合部73が穴72を介して離散的に配置されている。
 金属シールド板70Cの構造によれば、主面91aと上記天面との間に穴72が形成されているので、樹脂部材92を主面91a上に形成する工程において、金属シールド板70Cの近傍における液状樹脂の良好な流動性を確保できる。よって、金属シールド板70Cの近傍において樹脂部材92が形成されていない空隙などの発生を抑制できる。
 図3Dは、金属シールド板70Dの外観斜視図である。同図に示された金属シールド板70Dは、実施の形態に係る金属シールド板70の一例である。金属シールド板70Dは、主面91a(図示せず)から樹脂部材92(図示せず)の天面に向けて(z軸方向に)立設されている。金属シールド板70Dと主面91aとの間には、金属シールド板70Dの法線方向(x軸方向)に貫通する穴72が形成されている。
 また、金属シールド板70Dは、主面91aから樹脂部材92の天面に向けて(z軸方向に)立設され、主面91a上のグランド電極(図示せず)と接合された平板状の本体部71と、本体部71の主面91aと平行な方向に位置する端部に配置され、主面91aから樹脂部材92の天面に向けて(z軸方向に)立設された平板状の本体端部77と、を有している。ここで、本体部71と本体端部77とは、非平行である。
 金属シールド板70Dの構造によれば、本体部71と主面91aとの間に穴72が形成されているので、樹脂部材92を主面91a上に形成する工程において、金属シールド板70Dの近傍における液状樹脂の良好な流動性を確保できる。よって、金属シールド板70Dの近傍において樹脂部材92が形成されていない空隙などの発生を抑制できる。また、本体部71と本体端部77とが非平行であるため、金属シールド板70Dの主面91a上における自立性を確保できる。また、金属シールド板70A~70Cが有する接合部73が無いので、金属シールド板70Dの配置スペースを低減できる。
 図3Eは、金属シールド板70Eの外観斜視図である。同図に示された金属シールド板70Eは、実施の形態に係る金属シールド板70の一例である。金属シールド板70Eは、主面91a(図示せず)から樹脂部材92(図示せず)の天面に向けて(z軸方向に)立設されている。金属シールド板70Eと樹脂部材92の天面との間には、金属シールド板70Eの法線方向(x軸方向)に貫通する穴72が形成されている。
 また、金属シールド板70Eは、主面91aから樹脂部材92の天面に向けて(z軸方向に)立設され、主面91a上のグランド電極(図示せず)と接合された平板状の本体部71と、本体部71の主面91aと平行な方向に位置する端部に配置され、主面91aから樹脂部材92の天面に向けて(z軸方向に)立設された平板状の本体端部77と、を有している。ここで、本体部71と本体端部77とは、非平行である。
 金属シールド板70Eの構造によれば、本体部71と主面91aとの間に穴72が形成されているので、樹脂部材92を主面91a上に形成する工程において、金属シールド板70Eの近傍における液状樹脂の良好な流動性を確保できる。よって、金属シールド板70Eの近傍において樹脂部材92が形成されていない空隙などの発生を抑制できる。さらに、主面91aと接する領域(本体部71の下方領域)には、穴72が形成されていないので、金属シールド板70Eを介して主面91a上に配置された回路部品間のアイソレーションが向上する。また、本体部71と本体端部77とが非平行であるため、金属シールド板70Eの主面91a上における自立性を確保できる。また、金属シールド板70A~70Cが有する接合部73が無いので、金属シールド板70Eの配置スペースを低減できる。
 図3Fは、金属シールド板70Fの外観斜視図である。同図に示された金属シールド板70Fは、実施の形態に係る金属シールド板70の一例である。金属シールド板70Fは、主面91a(図示せず)から樹脂部材92(図示せず)の天面に向けて(z軸方向に)立設されている。主面91aと樹脂部材92の天面との間には、金属シールド板70Fの法線方向(x軸方向)に貫通する穴72が形成されている。
 また、金属シールド板70Fは、主面91aから樹脂部材92の天面に向けて(z軸方向に)立設され、主面91a上のグランド電極(図示せず)と接合された平板状の本体部71と、本体部71の主面91aと平行な方向に位置する端部に配置され、主面91aから樹脂部材92の天面に向けて(z軸方向に)立設された平板状の本体端部77と、を有している。ここで、本体部71と本体端部77とは、非平行である。
 金属シールド板70Fの構造によれば、主面91aと上記天面との間に穴72が形成されているので、樹脂部材92を主面91a上に形成する工程において、金属シールド板70Fの近傍における液状樹脂の良好な流動性を確保できる。よって、金属シールド板70Fの近傍において樹脂部材92が形成されていない空隙などの発生を抑制できる。また、本体部71と本体端部77とが非平行であるため、金属シールド板70Fの主面91a上における自立性を確保できる。また、金属シールド板70A~70Cが有する接合部73が無いので、金属シールド板70Fの配置スペースを低減できる。
 なお、金属シールド板70の構造例は、上記の金属シールド板70A~70Fに限られるものではない。例えば、穴72は、主面91aから上記天面に向けて複数配置されていてもよい。また、接合部73が延設される方向は、図3A~図3Cに示されるようなx軸負方向に限られず、x軸正方向であってもよく、さらには、金属シールド板70は、x軸負方向に延設される接合部73およびx軸正方向に延設される接合部73の双方を有していてもよい。また、本体端部77が延設される方向は、図3D~図3Fに示されるようなx軸負方向に限られず、x軸正方向であってもよく、さらには、金属シールド板70は、x軸負方向に延設される本体端部77およびx軸正方向に延設される本体端部77の双方を有していてもよい。
 [1.4 金属シールド板と第1インダクタおよび第2インダクタとの配置構成]
 次に、本実施の形態に係る高周波モジュール1Aが有する金属シールド板70と整合回路のインダクタとの配置関係について説明する。
 図4Aは、2つのインダクタおよび金属シールド板70の配置関係の第1例を示す図である。同図には、整合回路50の第1インダクタおよび整合回路51の第2インダクタと、金属シールド板70との配置関係が示されている。同図に示すように、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとが対面する領域Sには、隣り合う穴72で挟まれた金属シールド板70の本体部71が配置されている。
 これによれば、第1インダクタおよび第2インダクタにより形成される電磁界のうち高強度の電磁界を本体部71で遮断できる。よって、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとの電磁界結合を効果的に抑制できる。
 図4Bは、2つのインダクタおよび金属シールド板70Aの配置関係の第2例を示す図である。同図には、整合回路50の第1インダクタおよび整合回路51の第2インダクタと、金属シールド板70Aとの配置関係が示されている。同図に示すように、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとが対面する領域Sには、穴72が配置されている。なお、図示されていないが、領域Sにおける、穴72の上方(z軸正方向)には、本体部71が配置されている。
 これによれば、第1インダクタおよび第2インダクタの電磁界結合により形成される電磁界ループは、金属シールド板70A内に形成されるが、当該電磁界ループは、領域Sを囲み、穴72の周囲に配置された本体部71に形成される。このため、上記電磁界ループの磁束密度は、領域Sに穴72が配置されず本体部71のみが配置された場合に形成される電磁界ループの磁束密度よりも低くなる。よって、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとの電磁界結合を効果的に抑制できる。
 なお、図4Bには図示していないが、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとの間に、金属シールド板70Bが配置されている場合にも、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとが対面する領域Sには、穴72が配置されていてもよい。なお、この場合には、領域Sにおける、穴72の下方(z軸負方向)に、本体部71が配置されている。
 これによれば、第1インダクタおよび第2インダクタの電磁界結合により形成される電磁界ループは、金属シールド板70B内に形成されるが、当該電磁界ループは、領域Sを囲み、穴72の周囲に配置された本体部71に形成される。このため、上記電磁界ループの磁束密度は、領域Sに穴72が配置されず本体部71のみが配置された場合に形成される電磁界ループの磁束密度よりも低くなる。よって、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとの電磁界結合を効果的に抑制できる。
 図4Cは、2つのインダクタおよび金属シールド板70Cの配置関係の第3例を示す図である。同図には、整合回路50の第1インダクタおよび整合回路51の第2インダクタと、金属シールド板70Cとの配置関係が示されている。同図に示すように、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとが対面する領域Sには、穴72が配置されている。また、領域Sには、穴72を挟んで本体部71が配置されている。
 これによれば、第1インダクタおよび第2インダクタの電磁界結合により形成される電磁界ループは、金属シールド板70C内に形成されるが、当該電磁界ループは、領域Sを囲み、穴72の周囲に配置された本体部71に形成される。このため、上記電磁界ループの磁束密度は、領域Sに穴72が配置されず本体部71のみが配置された場合に形成される電磁界ループの磁束密度よりも低くなる。よって、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとの電磁界結合を効果的に抑制できる。
 図5は、2つのインダクタおよび金属シールド板70の配置関係の第4例を示す図である。同図には、整合回路51の第2インダクタおよび整合回路53の第3インダクタと、金属シールド板70との配置関係が示されている。同図に示すように、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、第2インダクタおよび第3インダクタのそれぞれは、金属シールド板70の隣り合う2つの接合部73の間に配置されている。
 これによれば、第2インダクタおよび第3インダクタを、金属シールド板70の本体部71により接近させて配置できる。よって、第2インダクタおよび第3インダクタに対する金属シールド板70の電磁界遮蔽機能を強化できる。
 なお、図4A~図4C、図5に示された第1インダクタは、送信経路、受信経路および送受信経路のいずれかに配置されており、第2インダクタは、送信経路、受信経路および送受信経路のうちの第1インダクタが配置された経路を除く経路のいずれかに配置されていればよい。
 図6は、実施の形態1の変形例1に係る高周波モジュール1Bの平面図および断面図である。図6の(a)には、モジュール基板91の主面91aをz軸正方向側から見た場合の回路部品の配置図が示されている。また、図6の(b)には、図6の(a)のVI-VI線における断面図が示されている。本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Bは、実施の形態に係る高周波モジュール1を構成する各回路部品の配置構成を具体的に示したものである。
 図6に示すように、本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Bは、図1に示された回路構成に加えて、さらに、モジュール基板91と、金属シールド板70と、金属シールド層95と、樹脂部材92と、外部接続端子150と、を有している。本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Bは、実施の形態1に係る高周波モジュール1Aと比較して、整合回路53およびデュプレクサ30の配置が異なる。以下、本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Bについて、実施の形態1に係る高周波モジュール1Aと同じ点は説明を省略し、異なる点を中心に説明する。
 整合回路53の第3インダクタは、側面に電極を有する第3部品の一例である。
 デュプレクサ30は、底面に電極を有し、かつ、側面に電極を有さない第4部品の一例である。
 整合回路53の第3インダクタは、主面91aの領域Pに配置されており、デュプレクサ30は、主面91aの領域Qに配置されている。
 ここで、図6に示すように、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、整合回路53の第3インダクタと金属シールド板70との間には導電部材は配置されておらず、デュプレクサ30と金属シールド板70との間には導電部材は配置されていない。このとき、整合回路53の第3インダクタと金属シールド板70との距離D1は、デュプレクサ30と金属シールド板70との距離D2よりも大きい。
 これによれば、側面電極のある第3インダクタは半田が側面に付着しているため、当該側面と金属シールド板70の本体部71とは、半田を介して接触し易い。これに対して、側面電極のないデュプレクサ30は側面に半田が付着していないため、当該側面と金属シールド板70の本体部71とは、接近しても半田を介して接触することはない。これに対して、本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Bでは、第3インダクタと金属シールド板70との距離D1を、デュプレクサ30と金属シールド板70との距離D2よりも大きくしているため、第3インダクタと本体部71とが半田を介して接触することを抑制できる。
 なお、側面に電極を有する第3部品は、整合回路53の第3インダクタに限定されない。また、底面に電極を有し、かつ、側面に電極を有さない第4部品は、デュプレクサ30に限定されない。
 図7Aは、実施の形態1の変形例2に係る高周波モジュール1Cの平面図および断面図である。図7Aの(a)には、モジュール基板91の主面91aをz軸正方向側から見た場合の回路部品の配置図が示されている。また、図7Aの(b)には、図7Aの(a)のVII-VII線における断面図が示されている。本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Cは、実施の形態に係る高周波モジュール1を構成する各回路部品の配置構成を具体的に示したものである。
 図7Aに示すように、本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Cは、図1に示された回路構成に加えて、さらに、モジュール基板91と、金属シールド板70Aと、金属シールド層95と、樹脂部材92と、外部接続端子150と、を有している。本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Cは、実施の形態1に係る高周波モジュール1Aと比較して、金属シールド板70Aの配置が異なる。以下、本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Cについて、実施の形態1に係る高周波モジュール1Aと同じ点は説明を省略し、異なる点を中心に説明する。
 金属シールド板70Aは、第1金属シールド板の一例であり、主面91aから樹脂部材92のz軸正方向側の天面に向けて立設された金属壁体である。金属シールド板70Aは、主面91aのグランド電極および金属シールド層95に接している。つまり、金属シールド板70Aは、その上方および下方の少なくとも2か所でグランドに接続されているので、電磁界遮蔽機能が強化されている。
 また、金属シールド板70Aは、主面91aを、領域Pと領域Qとに区画している。図7Aの(a)に示すように、電力増幅器10、PA制御回路15、整合回路51、53、およびスイッチ41は、主面91aの領域Pに配置されている。また、低雑音増幅器20、デュプレクサ30および35、整合回路50、52および54、ならびにスイッチ40および42は、主面91aの領域Qに配置されている。
 金属シールド板70Aは、主面91aから樹脂部材92の天面に向けて(z軸方向に)立設された本体部71と、主面91a上であってx軸負方向(領域P側)に延設され、主面91a上のグランド電極(図示せず)と接合された接合部73と、を有している。
 整合回路53の第3インダクタは、側面に電極を有する第1部品の一例である。
 デュプレクサ30は、底面に電極を有し、かつ、側面に電極を有さない第2部品の一例である。
 整合回路53の第3インダクタは、主面91aの領域Pに配置されており、デュプレクサ30は、主面91aの領域Qに配置されている。
 ここで、図7Aに示すように、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、整合回路53の第3インダクタと金属シールド板70との間には導電部材は配置されておらず、デュプレクサ30と金属シールド板70との間には導電部材は配置されていない。このとき、接合部73は、第3インダクタと本体部71との間に配置され、デュプレクサ30と本体部71との間に配置されていない。
 これによれば、金属シールド板70Aは、接合部73がx軸負方向側(領域P側)へ延設されているため、金属シールド板70Aを主面91a上に立設する工程において、本体部71は、接合部73のある領域P側へは倒れないが、接合部73のない領域Q側へは倒れ易くなる。これに対して、本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Cでは、本体部71が倒れにくい領域P側には、側面電極のある第3インダクタが配置され、本体部71が倒れ易い領域Q側には、側面電極のないデュプレクサが配置されている。よって、本体部71が傾いてデュプレクサ30と接触しても、半田を介して接触することを抑制できる。
 なお、図7Aに示された高周波モジュール1Cにおいて、金属シールド板70Aに代わって、金属シールド板70D、70Eおよび70Fのいずれかが配置されてもよい。すなわち、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、整合回路53の第3インダクタと金属シールド板70Dとの間には導電部材は配置されておらず、デュプレクサ30と金属シールド板70Dとの間には導電部材は配置されていない。このとき、本体端部77は、第3インダクタと本体部71との間に配置され、デュプレクサ30と本体部71との間に配置されていない。これによっても、本体部71が傾いてデュプレクサ30と接触しても、半田を介して接触することを抑制できる。
 図7Bは、実施の形態1の変形例3に係る高周波モジュール1Hの平面図である。図7Bには、モジュール基板91の主面91aをz軸正方向側から見た場合の回路部品の配置図が示されている。本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Hは、実施の形態に係る高周波モジュール1を構成する各回路部品の配置構成を具体的に示したものである。
 図7Bに示すように、本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Hは、図1に示された回路構成に加えて、さらに、モジュール基板91と、金属シールド板70Aと、金属シールド層95と、樹脂部材92と、外部接続端子150と、を有している。本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Hは、変形例2に係る高周波モジュール1Cと比較して、金属シールド板70Aの構成が異なる。以下、本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Hについて、変形例2に係る高周波モジュール1Cと同じ点は説明を省略し、異なる点を中心に説明する。
 金属シールド板70Aは、第1金属シールド板の一例であり、主面91aから樹脂部材92のz軸正方向側の天面に向けて立設された金属壁体である。金属シールド板70Aは、主面91aのグランド電極および金属シールド層95に接している。つまり、金属シールド板70Aは、その上方および下方の少なくとも2か所でグランドに接続されているので、電磁界遮蔽機能が強化されている。
 金属シールド板70Aは、主面91aから樹脂部材92の天面に向けて(z軸方向に)立設された本体部71と、主面91a上であってx軸負方向(領域P側)に延設され、主面91a上のグランド電極(図示せず)と接合された接合部73と、を有している。
 金属シールド板70Aは、主面91aを、領域Pと領域Qとに区画している。図7Bに示すように、電力増幅器10、PA制御回路15、整合回路51、53、およびスイッチ41は、主面91aの領域Pに配置されている。また、低雑音増幅器20、デュプレクサ30および35、整合回路50、52および54、ならびにスイッチ40および42は、主面91aの領域Qに配置されている。
 ここで、整合回路51と本体部71との間の領域、整合回路53と本体部71との間の領域、およびスイッチ41と本体部71との間の領域には、接合部73が配置されておらず、これらの領域以外の領域には接合部73が配置されている。
 これによれば、整合回路51および53、ならびにスイッチ41を、本体部71により近付けて配置できる。よって、整合回路51および53、ならびにスイッチ41に対する金属シールド板70Aの電磁界遮蔽機能を強化できる。
 なお、図7Bでは、接合部73は2箇所に配置されているが、1箇所以上配置されていればよい。
 図8は、実施の形態1の変形例4に係る高周波モジュール1Dの平面図および断面図である。図8の(a)には、モジュール基板91の主面91aをz軸正方向側から見た場合の回路部品の配置図が示されている。また、図8の(b)には、図8の(a)のVIII-VIII線における断面図が示されている。本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Dは、実施の形態に係る高周波モジュール1を構成する各回路部品の配置構成を具体的に示したものである。
 図8に示すように、本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Dは、図1に示された回路構成に加えて、さらに、モジュール基板91と、金属シールド板70と、金属シールド層95と、樹脂部材92と、外部接続端子150と、を有している。本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Dは、実施の形態1に係る高周波モジュール1Aと比較して、デュプレクサ30の配置構成が異なる。以下、本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Dについて、実施の形態1に係る高周波モジュール1Aと同じ点は説明を省略し、異なる点を中心に説明する。
 デュプレクサ30は、主面91aに配置されている。デュプレクサ30の底面電極は主面91aの電極と接続され、デュプレクサ30の天面は、金属シールド層95に接している。
 これによれば、製造工程において、樹脂部材92が形成された時点で、樹脂部材92の天面を、例えば化学機械研磨(Chemical mechanical polishing)により研磨でき、デュプレクサ30の天面を樹脂部材92から露出させることができる。その後、デュプレクサ30の天面に直接金属シールド層95を形成することができる。よって、高周波モジュール1Dを低背化することができるとともに、デュプレクサ30のグランドおよび放熱性を強化できる。
 なお、デュプレクサ30を構成する送信フィルタ31および32の少なくとも一方は、弾性波フィルタであってもよい。これによれば、弾性波フィルタの放熱性が強化されるので、弾性波フィルタの温度変化による周波数ドリフトを低減することができる。
 また、デュプレクサ30は、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、整合回路53と整合回路52との間に配置されている。つまり、デュプレクサ30は、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとの間に配置されていてもよい。
 これによれば、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとが、グランド電位に設定された金属シールド板70だけでなく、天面がグランド電位に設定されたデュプレクサ30を挟んで配置されているので、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとの電磁界結合をより一層抑制できる。
 なお、天面が金属シールド層95に接している回路部品は、デュプレクサ30に限定されない。
 図9は、実施の形態1の変形例5に係る高周波モジュール1Eの平面図および断面図である。図9の(a)には、モジュール基板91の主面91aをz軸正方向側から見た場合の金属シールド板70、整合回路51、およびグランド電極91gの配置図が示されている。また、図9の(b)には、図9の(a)のIX-IX線における断面図が示されている。本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Eは、実施の形態に係る高周波モジュール1を構成する各回路部品の配置構成を具体的に示したものである。本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Eは、実施の形態1に係る高周波モジュール1Aと比較して、金属シールド板70、整合回路51、およびグランド電極91gの配置構成が異なる。以下、本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Eについて、実施の形態1に係る高周波モジュール1Aと同じ点は説明を省略し、異なる点を中心に説明する。
 金属シールド板70は、主面91aから樹脂部材92の天面に向けて(z軸方向に)立設された本体部71(図示せず)と、主面91a上であってx軸正方向(領域Q側)に延設された接合部73と、を有している。
 整合回路51が有するインダクタは、高周波信号を入出力させるための信号電極51hおよびグランド電極51gを有する第5部品の一例である。ここで、整合回路51のインダクタのグランド電極51gと金属シールド板70との距離は、整合回路51のインダクタの信号電極51hと金属シールド板70との距離よりも小さい。
 これによれば、整合回路51のインダクタにおいて、グランド電極51gのほうが信号電極51hよりも金属シールド板70に近く配置されているため、製造工程において信号電極51hのほうがグランド電極51gよりも金属シールド板70に接触しにくい。仮に、グランド電極51gと金属シールド板70とが接触しても同じグランド電位であるため高周波モジュール1Eの電気特性に支障はない。よって、信号電極51hが金属シールド板70と接触して高周波モジュール1Eの電気特性が劣化することを抑制できる。
 また、整合回路51のインダクタのグランド電極51gと、金属シールド板70とは、主面91aに形成された同一のグランド電極91gに接合されていてもよい。
 これによれば、グランド電極51gと金属シールド板70とが接続される主面91a上に形成されるグランド電極91gの面積を縮小できるので、モジュール基板91を省面積化できる。
 (実施の形態2)
 本実施の形態では、高周波モジュール1の主面91aに複数の金属シールド板が配置された構成について説明する。
 [2.1 実施の形態2に係る高周波モジュール1Fの回路部品配置構成]
 図10は、実施の形態2に係る高周波モジュール1Fの平面図である。図10には、モジュール基板91の主面91aをz軸正方向側から見た場合の回路部品の配置図が示されている。高周波モジュール1Fは、図1に示された高周波モジュール1を構成する各回路部品の配置構成を具体的に示したものである。
 図10に示すように、本実施の形態に係る高周波モジュール1Fは、図1に示された回路構成に加えて、さらに、モジュール基板91と、金属シールド板70および74と、金属シールド層95と、樹脂部材92(図示せず)と、外部接続端子150(図示せず)と、を有している。本実施の形態に係る高周波モジュール1Fは、実施の形態1に係る高周波モジュール1Aと比較して、金属シールド板74が付加されている点が異なる。以下、本実施の形態に係る高周波モジュール1Fについて、実施の形態1に係る高周波モジュール1Aと同じ点は説明を省略し、異なる点を中心に説明する。
 金属シールド板74は、第3金属シールド板の一例であり、主面91aから樹脂部材92のz軸正方向側の天面に向けて立設された金属壁体である。金属シールド板74は、主面91aのグランド電極および金属シールド層95に接している。つまり、金属シールド板74は、その上方および下方の少なくとも2か所でグランドに接続されているので、電磁界遮蔽機能が強化されている。なお、金属シールド板74は、主面91aのグランド電極、および、金属シールド層95を構成するシールド面のうち樹脂部材92の天面に接するシールド面と接していてもよく、また、主面91aのグランド電極、および、金属シールド層95を構成するシールド面のうち樹脂部材92の側面に接するシールド面と接していてもよい。
 本実施の形態では、整合回路50は、アンテナ接続端子100とスイッチ40の共通端子40aとを結ぶ送受信経路CTRに配置され、第1インダクタを含む。また、整合回路51は、送信入力端子110とスイッチ40の共通端子40aとを結ぶ送信経路ATに配置され、第2インダクタを含む。また、整合回路52は、受信出力端子120とスイッチ40の共通端子40aとを結ぶ受信経路ARに配置され、第3インダクタを含む。
 ここで、図10に示すように、金属シールド板70は、主面91a上であって、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合に整合回路50の第1インダクタと整合回路51の第2インダクタとの間に配置されている。また、金属シールド板74は、主面91a上であって、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合に整合回路50の第1インダクタと整合回路52の第3インダクタとの間に配置されている。
 つまり、金属シールド板70および74は、主面91aを、領域Pと領域Qと領域Rとに区画している。図10に示すように、電力増幅器10、PA制御回路15、整合回路51、53、およびスイッチ41は、主面91aの領域Pに配置されている。また、デュプレクサ30および35、整合回路50、ならびにスイッチ40は、主面91aの領域Qに配置されている。また、低雑音増幅器20、整合回路52および54、ならびにスイッチ42は、主面91aの領域Rに配置されている。
 これによれば、送信経路ATに配置された第2インダクタと送受信経路CTRに配置された第1インダクタとが、グランド電位に設定された金属シールド板70を挟んで配置されているので、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとの電磁界結合を抑制できる。また、送受信経路CTRに配置された第1インダクタと受信経路ARに配置された第3インダクタとが、グランド電位に設定された金属シールド板74を挟んで配置されているので、第1インダクタと第3インダクタとの電磁界結合を抑制できる。よって、電力増幅器10で増幅され、高調波成分が重畳された高出力の送信信号が送信フィルタ31を経由せずにアンテナ接続端子100から出力されることで送信信号の品質が低下することを抑制できる。また、上記電磁界結合により上記高調波または送信信号と他の高周波信号との相互変調歪などの不要波が、受信経路ARまたはBRに流入して受信感度が劣化することを、より一層抑制できる。
 なお、本実施の形態では、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、受信経路ARおよびBRに配置された低雑音増幅器20、整合回路52および54、ならびにスイッチ42が、金属シールド板74で囲まれている。
 これによれば、高出力の送信信号、その高調波、および相互変調歪成分が、受信経路ARおよびBRに流入することを、高度に抑制できる。
 なお、金属シールド板74は、整合回路52および54の少なくとも一方を囲んでいてもよい。これによっても、回路部品のなかでもっとも電磁界結合し易いインダクタ同士を金属シールド板74で分離配置できる。
 なお、金属シールド板74に代わり、または、金属シールド板74に加えて、金属シールド板70が、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、整合回路51および53の少なくとも一方を囲んでいてもよい。
 また、金属シールド板74に代わり、または、金属シールド板74に加えて、金属シールド板70が、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、整合回路50を囲んでいてもよい。
 これらによれば、高調波が重畳された高出力の送信信号がアンテナ接続端子100から出力されることで送信信号の品質が低下することを抑制できる。また、高出力の送信信号、その高調波、および相互変調歪成分が受信経路ARおよびBRに流入して受信感度が低下することを抑制できる。
 なお、金属シールド板70または74が、回路部品を囲む構成において、金属シールド板の一部が、金属シールド層95であってもよい。
 [2.2 変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Gの回路部品配置構成]
 図11は、実施の形態2の変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Gの平面図および断面図である。図11の(a)には、モジュール基板91の主面91aをz軸正方向側から見た場合の回路部品の配置図が示されている。また、図11の(b)には、図11の(a)のXI-XI線における断面図が示されている。本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Gは、実施の形態に係る高周波モジュール1を構成する各回路部品の配置構成を具体的に示したものである。
 図11に示すように、本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Gは、図1に示された回路構成に加えて、さらに、モジュール基板91と、金属シールド板75a~75dおよび76aおよび76bと、金属シールド層95と、樹脂部材92(図示せず)と、外部接続端子150(図示せず)と、を有している。本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Gは、実施の形態2に係る高周波モジュール1Fと比較して、金属シールド板の構成が異なる。以下、本変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Gについて、実施の形態2に係る高周波モジュール1Fと同じ点は説明を省略し、異なる点を中心に説明する。
 金属シールド板75aおよび75cのそれぞれは、第1金属シールド板の一例であり、主面91aから樹脂部材92のz軸正方向側の天面に向けて立設された金属壁体である。金属シールド板75aおよび75cのそれぞれは、主面91aのグランド電極および金属シールド層95に接している。
 金属シールド板75bおよび75dのそれぞれは、第2金属シールド板の一例であり、主面91aから樹脂部材92のz軸正方向側の天面に向けて立設された金属壁体である。金属シールド板75bおよび75dのそれぞれは、主面91aのグランド電極および金属シールド層95に接している。金属シールド板75bは、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、金属シールド板75aと離間して配置されている。金属シールド板75dは、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、金属シールド板75cと離間して配置されている。
 金属シールド板75aおよび75bは、金属シールド板75aおよび75bの法線方向から見て、重なり部を有しており、金属シールド板75aと金属シールド板75bとは、当該重なり部において平行である。また、金属シールド板75cおよび75dは、金属シールド板75cおよび75dの法線方向から見て、重なり部を有しており、金属シールド板75cと金属シールド板75dとは、当該重なり部において平行である。
 上記構成によれば、高周波モジュール1Gは、上記重なり部により、金属シールド板の電磁界遮蔽機能を増強することが可能となる。
 本変形例では、整合回路50は、送受信経路CTRに配置され、第1インダクタを含む。整合回路51は、送信経路ATに配置され、第2インダクタを含む。整合回路52は、受信経路ARに配置され、第3インダクタを含む。
 ここで、図11に示すように、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとの間には、金属シールド板75aと金属シールド板75bとの重なり部が配置されている。
 これによれば、送信経路ATに配置された第2インダクタと送受信経路CTRに配置された第1インダクタとが、上記重なり部を挟んで配置されているので、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとの電磁界結合を、より一層抑制できる。よって、電力増幅器10で増幅され、高調波成分が重畳された高出力の送信信号が送信フィルタ31を経由せずにアンテナ接続端子100から出力されることで送信信号の品質が低下することを、より一層抑制できる。また、上記電磁界結合により上記高調波または送信信号と他の高周波信号との相互変調歪などの不要波が、受信経路ARまたはBRに流入して受信感度が劣化することを、より一層抑制できる。
 なお、上記重なり部により分離配置される第1インダクタおよび第2インダクタの組み合わせは、送受信経路に配置されたインダクタおよび送信経路に配置されたインダクタの組み合わせに限られない。第1インダクタおよび第2インダクタの組み合わせとしては、送受信経路に配置されたインダクタおよび受信経路に配置されたインダクタの組み合わせであってもよい。これによれば、電力増幅器10で増幅された高出力の送信信号およびその高調波成分が受信フィルタ32または34を経由せずに受信経路ARまたはBRに流入して受信感度が劣化することを、より一層抑制できる。
 また、第1インダクタおよび第2インダクタの組み合わせとしては、送信経路に配置されたインダクタおよび受信経路に配置されたインダクタの組み合わせであってもよい。これによれば、電力増幅器10で増幅された高出力の送信信号およびその高調波成分が送信フィルタ31または33、および、受信フィルタ32または34を経由せずに受信経路ARまたはBRに流入して受信感度が劣化することを、より一層抑制できる。
 つまり、第1インダクタは、送信経路、受信経路および送受信経路のいずれかに配置されており、第2インダクタは、送信経路、受信経路および送受信経路のうちの第1インダクタが配置された経路を除く経路のいずれかに配置されていればよい。
 なお、金属シールド板75aと金属シールド板75bとは、同一形状を有することが望ましい。これによれば、金属シールド板の製造工程を簡素化でき、製造コストを低減できる。
 また、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、受信経路ARおよびBRに配置された低雑音増幅器20、整合回路52および54、ならびにスイッチ42は、金属シールド板76aおよび76b、ならびに金属シールド層95で囲まれている。
 これによれば、高出力の送信信号、その高調波、および相互変調歪成分が、受信経路ARおよびBRに流入することを、高度に抑制できる。
 なお、金属シールド板76aおよび76b、ならびに金属シールド層95は、整合回路52および54の少なくとも一方を囲んでいてもよい。これによっても、回路部品のなかでもっとも電磁界結合し易いインダクタ同士を分離配置できる。
 また、金属シールド板76aおよび76bのみで、整合回路52および54の少なくとも一方を囲んでいてもよい。これによっても、回路部品のなかでもっとも電磁界結合し易いインダクタ同士を分離配置できる。
 なお、金属シールド板76aと金属シールド板76bとは、別体であるが接触している。また、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合に金属シールド板76aと金属シールド板76bとのなす角度は略90度となっている。この構成によれば、金属シールド板76aと金属シールド板76bとが、互いに支え合って立設されているので、各回路部品を主面91a上に高精度に配置できる。
 なお、金属シールド板76aおよび76bに代わり、または、金属シールド板74に加えて、金属シールド板70が、2つの金属シールド板で構成されていてもよく、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、当該2つの金属シールド板と金属シールド層とで整合回路51および53の少なくとも一方を囲んでいてもよい。あるいは、上記2つの金属シールド板と金属シールド層とで整合回路50を囲んでいてもよい。
 これらによれば、高調波が重畳された高出力の送信信号がアンテナ接続端子100から出力されることで送信信号の品質が低下することを抑制できる。また、高出力の送信信号、その高調波、および相互変調歪成分が受信経路ARおよびBRに流入して受信感度が低下することを抑制できる。
 なお、上記2つの金属シールド板のみで、整合回路51および53の少なくとも一方、または、整合回路50を囲んでいてもよい。これらによっても、回路部品のなかでもっとも電磁界結合し易いインダクタ同士を分離配置できる。
 [3.効果など]
 以上、本実施の形態に係る高周波モジュール1Aは、主面91aを有するモジュール基板91と、主面91aに配置された第1インダクタおよび第2インダクタと、主面91a、第1インダクタおよび第2インダクタの少なくとも一部を覆う樹脂部材92と、樹脂部材92の表面を覆い、グランド電位に設定された金属シールド層95と、主面91a上であってモジュール基板91を平面視した場合に第1インダクタと第2インダクタとの間に配置された金属シールド板70と、を備え、金属シールド板70は、主面91aのグランド電極および金属シールド層95に接しており、第1インダクタは、送信信号を外部から受けるための送信入力端子110と共通端子40aとを結ぶ送信経路AT、受信信号を外部に供給するための受信出力端子120と共通端子40aとを結ぶ受信経路AR、および、アンテナ接続端子100と共通端子40aとを結ぶ送受信経路CTRのいずれかに配置されており、第2インダクタは、送信経路AT、受信経路ARおよび送受信経路CTRのうちの第1インダクタが配置された経路を除く経路のいずれかに配置されている。
 これによれば、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとが、グランド電位に設定された金属シールド板70を挟んで配置されているので、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとの電磁界結合を抑制できる。よって、例えば、電力増幅器10で増幅され、高調波成分が重畳された高出力の送信信号が送信フィルタ31を経由せずにアンテナ接続端子100から出力されることで送信信号の品質が低下することを抑制できる。また、上記電磁界結合により上記高調波または送信信号と他の高周波信号との相互変調歪などの不要波が、受信経路ARに流入して受信感度が劣化することを抑制できる。
 また、高周波モジュール1Aにおいて、金属シールド板70Aは、主面91aから樹脂部材92の天面に向けて立設されており、金属シールド板70Aと主面91aとの間には、金属シールド板70Aの法線方向に貫通する穴72が形成されていてもよい。
 これによれば、本体部71と主面91aとの間に穴72が形成されているので、樹脂部材92を主面91a上に形成する工程において、金属シールド板70Aの近傍における液状樹脂の良好な流動性を確保できる。よって、金属シールド板70Aの近傍において樹脂部材92が形成されていない空隙などの発生を抑制できる。
 また、高周波モジュール1Aにおいて、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとが対面する領域Sには、隣り合う穴72で挟まれた金属シールド板70の本体部71が配置されていてもよい。
 これによれば、第1インダクタおよび第2インダクタにより形成される電磁界のうち高強度の電磁界を本体部71で遮断できる。よって、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとの電磁界結合を効果的に抑制できる。
 また、高周波モジュール1Aにおいて、金属シールド板70Bは、主面91aから樹脂部材92の天面に向けて立設されており、金属シールド板70Bと天面との間には、金属シールド板70Bの法線方向に貫通する穴72が形成されていてもよい。
 これによれば、本体部71と上記天面との間に穴72が形成されているので、樹脂部材92を主面91a上に形成する工程において、金属シールド板70Bの近傍における液状樹脂の良好な流動性を確保できる。よって、金属シールド板70Bの近傍において樹脂部材92が形成されていない空隙などの発生を抑制できる。さらに、主面91aと接する領域(本体部71の下方領域)には、穴72が形成されていないので、金属シールド板70Bを介して主面91a上に配置された回路部品間のアイソレーションが向上する。
 また、金属シールド板70は、主面91aから樹脂部材92の天面に向けて立設された本体部71と、主面91a側であって主面91aと平行に延設され、主面91aのグランド電極と接合された接合部73と、を有してもよい。
 これによれば、金属シールド板70と主面91aとは、接合部73により接合されるので、金属シールド板70の配置精度、および、金属シールド板70と主面91aとの接合強度が向上する。
 また、実施の形態1の変形例2に係る高周波モジュール1Cは、主面91aに配置された第1部品および第2部品を備え、第1部品は側面に電極を有し、第2部品は底面に電極を有し、かつ、側面に電極を有さず、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、第1部品と金属シールド板70Aとの間には導電部材は配置されておらず、第2部品と金属シールド板70Aとの間には導電部材は配置されておらず、接合部73は、第1部品と本体部71との間に配置され、第2部品と本体部71との間に配置されていなくてもよい。
 これによれば、金属シールド板70Aは、接合部73が領域P側へ延設されているため、金属シールド板70Aを主面91a上に立設する工程において、接合部73のない領域Q側へは倒れ易くなる。これに対して、高周波モジュール1Cでは、本体部71が倒れにくい領域P側には第1部品が配置され、本体部71が倒れ易い領域Q側には第2部品が配置されている。よって、本体部71が傾いて第1部品と接触しても、半田を介して電気的に接触することを抑制できる。
 また、金属シールド板70は、主面91aから樹脂部材92の天面に向けて立設され、主面91aのグランド電極と接合された平板状の本体部71と、本体部71の主面91aと平行な方向に位置する端部に配置され、主面91aから樹脂部材92の天面に向けて立設された平板状の本体端部77と、を備え、本体部71と本体端部77とは、非平行であってもよい。
 これによれば、本体部71と本体端部77とが非平行であるため、金属シールド板70の主面91a上における自立性を確保できる。また、接合部73が無いので、金属シールド板70の配置スペースを低減できる。
 また、実施の形態1の変形例2に係る高周波モジュール1Cは、主面91aに配置された第1部品および第2部品を備え、第1部品は側面に電極を有し、第2部品は底面に電極を有し、かつ、側面に電極を有さず、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、第1部品と金属シールド板70Dとの間には導電部材は配置されておらず、第2部品と金属シールド板70Dとの間には導電部材は配置されておらず、本体端部77は、第1部品と本体部71との間に配置され、第2部品と本体部71との間に配置されていなくてもよい。
 これによれば、金属シールド板70Dは、本体端部77が領域P側へ延設されているため、金属シールド板70Dを主面91a上に立設する工程において、本体端部77のない領域Q側へは倒れ易くなる。これに対して、高周波モジュール1Cでは、本体部71が倒れにくい領域P側には第1部品が配置され、本体部71が倒れ易い領域Q側には第2部品が配置されている。よって、本体部71が傾いて第1部品と接触しても、半田を介して電気的に接触することを抑制できる。
 また、実施の形態2の変形例に係る高周波モジュール1Gは、さらに、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合に金属シールド板75aと離間して配置された金属シールド板75bを備えてもよい。
 また、高周波モジュール1Gにおいて、金属シールド板75aおよび75bは金属シールド板75aおよび75bの法線方向から見て、重なり部を有し、金属シールド板75aと金属シールド板75bとは、上記重なり部において平行であってもよい。
 これによれば、上記重なり部により、金属シールド板の電磁界遮蔽機能を増強することが可能となる。
 また、高周波モジュール1Gにおいて、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとの間には、上記重なり部が配置されていてもよい。
 これによれば、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとが、上記重なり部を挟んで配置されているので、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとの電磁界結合を、より一層抑制できる。
 また、高周波モジュール1Gにおいて、金属シールド板75aと金属シールド板75bとは、同一形状を有してもよい。
 これによれば、金属シールド板の製造工程を簡素化でき、製造コストを低減できる。
 また、高周波モジュール1Gにおいて、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、整合回路52のインダクタは、金属シールド板76a、76bおよび金属シールド層95で囲まれていてもよい。
 また、高周波モジュール1Fにおいて、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、整合回路52のインダクタは、金属シールド板74で囲まれていてもよい。
 これらによれば、高出力の送信信号、その高調波、および相互変調歪成分が、受信経路ARに流入することを、高度に抑制できる。
 また、高周波モジュール1Bにおいて、整合回路53の第3インダクタは側面に電極を有し、デュプレクサ30は底面に電極を有し、かつ、側面に電極を有さず、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、第3インダクタと金属シールド板70との間には導電部材は配置されておらず、デュプレクサ30と金属シールド板70との間には導電部材は配置されておらず、第3インダクタと金属シールド板70との距離D1は、デュプレクサ30と金属シールド板70との距離D2よりも大きくてもよい。
 これによれば、第3インダクタの側面と金属シールド板70の本体部71とは、半田を介して接触し易い。これに対して、デュプレクサ30の側面と金属シールド板70の本体部71とは、接近しても半田を介して接触することはない。これに対して、距離D1を距離D2よりも大きくしているため、第3インダクタと本体部71とが半田を介して接触することを抑制できる。
 また、高周波モジュール1Dにおいて、デュプレクサ30の底面電極は主面91aの電極と接続され、デュプレクサ30の天面は金属シールド層95に接していてもよい。
 これによれば、製造工程において、樹脂部材92の天面を研磨することでデュプレクサ30の天面を樹脂部材92から露出させることができる。その後、デュプレクサ30の天面に直接金属シールド層95を形成することができる。よって、高周波モジュール1Dを低背化することができるとともに、デュプレクサ30のグランドおよび放熱性を強化できる。
 また、高周波モジュール1Dにおいて、デュプレクサ30は弾性波フィルタであってもよい。
 これによれば、弾性波フィルタの放熱性が強化されるので、弾性波フィルタの温度変化による周波数ドリフトを低減することができる。
 また、高周波モジュール1Dにおいて、デュプレクサ30は、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとの間に配置されていてもよい。
 これによれば、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとが、グランド電位に設定された金属シールド板70だけでなく、天面がグランド電位に設定されたデュプレクサ30を挟んで配置されているので、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとの電磁界結合をより一層抑制できる。
 また、高周波モジュール1Eにおいて、整合回路51の第2インダクタは、底面に信号電極51hおよびグランド電極51gを有し、グランド電極51gと金属シールド板70との距離は、信号電極51hと金属シールド板70との距離よりも小さくてもよい。
 これによれば、製造工程において信号電極51hのほうがグランド電極51gよりも金属シールド板70に接触しにくい。仮に、グランド電極51gと金属シールド板70とが接触しても同じグランド電位であるため高周波モジュール1Eの電気特性に支障はない。よって、信号電極51hが金属シールド板70と接触して高周波モジュール1Eの電気特性が劣化することを抑制できる。
 また、高周波モジュール1Eにおいて、グランド電極51gと金属シールド板70とは、主面91aに形成された同一のグランド電極91gに接合されていてもよい。
 これによれば、グランド電極51gと金属シールド板70とが接続される主面91a上に形成されるグランド電極91gの面積を縮小できるので、モジュール基板91を省面積化できる。
 また、高周波モジュール1Fは、さらに、主面91aに配置された第3インダクタと、主面91a上であって、モジュール基板91を平面視した場合に第3インダクタと第2インダクタとの間、または、第3インダクタと第1インダクタとの間に配置された金属シールド板74と、を備え、金属シールド板74は、主面91aのグランド電極および金属シールド層95に接しており、第3インダクタは、送信経路AT、受信経路ARおよび送受信経路CTRのうちの第1インダクタが配置された経路および第2インダクタが配置された経路を除く経路に配置されていてもよい。
 これによれば、例えば送信経路ATに配置された第2インダクタと送受信経路CTRに配置された第1インダクタとが、グランド電位に設定された金属シールド板70を挟んで配置されているので、第1インダクタと第2インダクタとの電磁界結合を抑制できる。また、例えば送受信経路CTRに配置された第1インダクタと受信経路ARに配置された第3インダクタとが、グランド電位に設定された金属シールド板74を挟んで配置されているので、第1インダクタと第3インダクタとの電磁界結合を抑制できる。よって、電力増幅器10で増幅され、高調波成分が重畳された高出力の送信信号が送信フィルタ31を経由せずにアンテナ接続端子100から出力されることで送信信号の品質が低下することを抑制できる。また、上記電磁界結合により上記高調波または送信信号と他の高周波信号との相互変調歪などの不要波が、受信経路ARに流入して受信感度が劣化することを、より一層抑制できる。
 また、通信装置5は、アンテナ2で送受信される高周波信号を処理するRFIC3と、アンテナ2とRFIC3との間で高周波信号を伝送する高周波モジュール1と、を備える。
 これによれば、送信信号または受信信号の品質劣化が抑制された通信装置5を提供できる。
 (その他の実施の形態など)
 以上、本発明に係る高周波モジュールおよび通信装置について、実施の形態およびその変形例を挙げて説明したが、本発明に係る高周波モジュールおよび通信装置は、上記実施の形態およびその変形例に限定されるものではない。上記実施の形態およびその変形例における任意の構成要素を組み合わせて実現される別の実施の形態や、上記実施の形態およびその変形例に対して本発明の主旨を逸脱しない範囲で当業者が思いつく各種変形を施して得られる変形例や、上記高周波モジュールおよび通信装置を内蔵した各種機器も本発明に含まれる。
 例えば、実施の形態1および2に係る高周波モジュールでは、高周波モジュールを構成する各回路部品がモジュール基板91の片方主面に配置されているが、各回路部品がモジュール基板の互いに対向する第1主面および第2主面に振り分けられて配置されていてもよい。つまり、上記高周波モジュールを構成する各回路部品は、モジュール基板に片面実装されていてもよく、また、両面実装されていてもよい。
 例えば、上記実施の形態およびその変形例に係る高周波モジュールおよび通信装置において、図面に開示された各回路素子および信号経路を接続する経路の間に、別の回路素子および配線などが挿入されていてもよい。
 本発明は、マルチバンド対応のフロントエンド部に配置される高周波モジュールとして、携帯電話などの通信機器に広く利用できる。

  1.  主面を有するモジュール基板と、
     前記主面に配置された第1インダクタおよび第2インダクタと、
     前記主面、前記第1インダクタおよび前記第2インダクタの少なくとも一部を覆う樹脂部材と、
     前記樹脂部材の表面を覆い、グランド電位に設定された金属シールド層と、
     前記主面上であって、前記モジュール基板を平面視した場合に前記第1インダクタと前記第2インダクタとの間に配置された第1金属シールド板と、を備え、
     前記第1金属シールド板は、前記主面のグランド電極および前記金属シールド層に接しており、
     前記第1インダクタは、送信信号を伝送する送信経路、受信信号を伝送する受信経路、および、送信信号および受信信号を伝送する送受信経路のいずれかに配置されており、
     前記第2インダクタは、前記送信経路、前記受信経路および前記送受信経路のうちの前記第1インダクタが配置された経路を除く経路のいずれかに配置されている、

  11.  前記第1金属シールド板および前記第2金属シールド板は、前記第2金属シールド板の法線方向から見て、重なり部を有し、
     前記第2金属シールド板と前記第1金属シールド板とは、前記重なり部において平行である、
     請求項10に記載の高周波モジュール。
  12.  前記モジュール基板を平面視した場合、前記第1インダクタと前記第2インダクタとの間には、前記重なり部が配置されている、
     請求項11に記載の高周波モジュール。
  13.  前記第1金属シールド板と前記第2金属シールド板とは、同一形状を有する、
     請求項10~12のいずれか1項に記載の高周波モジュール。
  14.  前記第1インダクタは、前記受信経路に配置されており、
     前記モジュール基板を平面視した場合、前記第1インダクタは、前記第1金属シールド板および前記金属シールド層で囲まれている、
     請求項1~13のいずれか1項に記載の高周波モジュール。
  15.  前記第1インダクタは、前記受信経路に配置されており、
     前記モジュール基板を平面視した場合、前記第1インダクタは、前記第1金属シールド板で囲まれている、
     請求項1~13のいずれか1項に記載の高周波モジュール。
  16.  前記主面に配置された第3部品および第4部品を備え、
     前記第3部品は、側面に電極を有し、
     前記第4部品は、底面に電極を有し、かつ、側面に電極を有さず、
     前記モジュール基板を平面視した場合、
     前記第3部品と前記第1金属シールド板との間には導電部材は配置されておらず、
     前記第4部品と前記第1金属シールド板との間には導電部材は配置されておらず、
     前記第3部品と前記第1金属シールド板との距離は、前記第4部品と前記第1金属シールド板との距離よりも大きい、
     請求項1~15のいずれか1項に記載の高周波モジュール。
  17.  前記主面に配置されたフィルタを備え、
     前記フィルタの底面電極は前記主面の電極と接続され、前記フィルタの天面は、前記金属シールド層に接している、
     請求項1~16のいずれか1項に記載の高周波モジュール。
  18.  前記フィルタは、弾性波フィルタである、
     請求項17に記載の高周波モジュール。
  19.  前記フィルタは、前記モジュール基板を平面視した場合、前記第1インダクタと前記第2インダクタとの間に配置されている、
     請求項17または18に記載の高周波モジュール。
  20.  前記主面に配置された第5部品を備え、
     前記第5部品は、底面に、高周波信号を入出力させるための信号電極およびグランド電極を有し、
     前記第5部品の前記グランド電極と前記第1金属シールド板との距離は、前記第5部品の前記信号電極と前記第1金属シールド板との距離よりも小さい、
     請求項1~19のいずれか1項に記載の高周波モジュール。
  21.  前記第5部品の前記グランド電極と、前記第1金属シールド板とは、前記主面に形成された同一のグランド電極に接合されている、
     請求項20に記載の高周波モジュール。
  22.  さらに、
     前記主面に配置された第3インダクタと、
     前記主面上であって、前記モジュール基板を平面視した場合に、前記第3インダクタと前記第2インダクタとの間、または、前記第3インダクタと前記第1インダクタとの間に配置された第3金属シールド板と、を備え、
     前記第3金属シールド板は、前記主面のグランド電極および前記金属シールド層に接しており、
     前記第3インダクタは、前記送信経路、前記受信経路および前記送受信経路のうちの前記第1インダクタが配置された経路および前記第2インダクタが配置された経路を除く経路に配置されている、
     請求項1~21のいずれか1項に記載の高周波モジュール。
  23.  アンテナで送受信される高周波信号を処理するRF信号処理回路と、
     前記アンテナと前記RF信号処理回路との間で前記高周波信号を伝搬する請求項1~22のいずれか1項に記載の高周波モジュールと、を備える、
     通信装置。
