Definitions
- the invention relates to a mask, in particular a face mask or breathing bowl, which ensures protection against germs, dust and odors and allows facial expressions to be visible.
- Face masks and respirators have been in use for many decades, for both civil and military use. They can be designed for self-breathing or can also be connected to ventilators.
- a ventilation device with a mask and pump is disclosed, for example, in DE 102004002125 B4.
- a breathing mask for ventilating patients according to DE 202015105799 U1 this is provided with a curved hood which has a contact surface running around the edge and an inlet opening for breathing air to be supplied and an outlet opening.
- the hood is designed to be flat close to the face in order to achieve the smallest possible volume between the face and the hood.
- Comparable masks are in DE 202017001233 U1, inter alia. disclosed.
- EP 0906037 B1 discloses a breathing mask which covers the mouth and nose and which is supported on the nose and under the chin.
- lateral headbands are provided that can be connected at the back of the head.
- the breathing air is supplied through a filter bowl located in front of the face and a filter can also be provided.
- the part of the breathing mask that comes into contact with the face is made of flexible material.
- Simple shapes such as fabric masks or shields are also known.
- Such shields cover the entire face from the forehead to the base of the neck. They are mostly connected with a ring that is placed on the head. But it is also known to attach such shields to glasses-like frames. They are used to ward off splashing liquids, solid particles or gases. The distance between the shield and the face is comparatively large, so that they are unsuitable as a breathing mask and also tend to fog up due to the exhaled air.
- shields which only cover the mouth and nose in a fixed position and which do not offer any protection against the effects of droplets on the mouth and nose.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of developing a mask, in particular a face mask or breathing bowl, which ensures better protection against internal and foreign germs (from outside or outside), dusts and odors. It should be very comfortable to wear and at the same time be reusable.
- the object is achieved with the features of claim 1.
- the mask according to the invention comprises a transparent, arched breathing bowl which covers the nose and mouth of a person and which is provided with a contact surface that rests at least partially on the face, in particular on the cheeks.
- the breathing bowl is strongly tapered towards the nose and is approximately triangular, while the area covering the mouth is approximately quadrangular and is detachably connected to a flexible textile filter arranged on the lower edge of the breathing bowl.
- the breathing bowl is preferably soft and malleable to the extent that it can be adapted to the shape of the face and nose.
- the breathing bowl is transparent, spacious, keeps the nose and mouth free and the textile or hygiene filter is very easy to replace.
- an edge of the breathing bowl is provided with a soft bead, at least in the area of the nose, which if necessary extends over the cheeks and to the filter and which is suitable at least on the nose, surrounding the bridge of the nose and also on the cheeks of the wearer Mask to lie on.
- the breathing bowl has a fastening point on both sides and, if necessary, an adjustment and tensioning device for a fastening strap of the mask.
- the breathing bowl can have a fastening point on both sides for one end of the fastening strap of the mask, the other ends of which can be fastened to the filter, preferably to its lower edge, in order to enable the filter to fit snugly on the neck.
- the breathing bowl advantageously has a dome extension on both sides on the lower edge, which is suitable for tensioning and fixing the filter by hanging it on the breathing bowl, preferably in a recessed edge area of the breathing bowl.
- the filter advantageously has a "buttonhole" on both sides on the edge facing the breathing bowl.
- the filter can thus cover the lower edge of the breathing bowl tightly.
- the filter can be dimensionally stable, can be used once or several times and, in addition to textile fabrics, can also consist of other suitable materials.
- the mask in particular its breathing bowl, is compact, washable and can therefore be used several times by the same person, which is essential from an ecological point of view.
- the breathing bowl of the mask can be stored on the one hand, but can also be recycled on the other.
- FIG. 2 shows the mask according to FIG. 1 in parts
- FIG. 3 the parts of the mask according to FIG. 2 assembled
- FIG. 4 the breathing cup of the mask according to FIG. 1 in a partial representation
- Fig. 7 a filter of the mask
- FIG. 8 the filter according to FIG. 7 with breathing bowl, unassembled.
- a mask 1 according to the invention has a curved breathing bowl 2 made of a, preferably transparent, plastic, for example made of a polycarbonate, which covers the nose and mouth up to the level of the chin and below the mouth of a person, see.
- the curvature of the breathing bowl 2 is preferably such that it keeps the nose and mouth free and with an edge 5 which rests with a thick, soft bead 9 made of silicone at least on the bridge of the nose, in the example upper, and possibly also on the Cheeks and enough space in front of the mouth 7 and the nostrils is given.
- the curvature can be of different sizes.
- the edge areas of the breathing bowl 2 can rest on the cheeks or on the skin of the face to such an extent that they have a contact surface next to the edge 5. form.
- the shape of the breathing bowl 2 tapers towards the nose and is triangular, while the area 12 covering the mouth is approximately square (FIG. 4).
- the eyes are exposed and glasses cannot fog up from the exhaled air.
- a textile or fleece filter 3 is arranged in an overlapping manner, which elastically encloses the chin (FIGS. 1, 2).
- the lower elastic edge 8 of the filter 3 hugs the lower part of the chin.
- the filter 3 has an opening, a "buttonhole” 7, on both sides on the upper edge facing the breathing bowl 2. Thanks to the elastic upper edge 15 of the filter 3, each "buttonhole” 7 is stretched elastically by means of a pull tab 14 over the dome extensions 6 arranged on both sides of the lower edge of the breathing bowl 2, so that the filter 3 is firmly and tightly attached to the breathing bowl 2 in an overlapping area 13 is applied (Fig. 2, 3). This facilitates the problem-free replacement of the filter 3, which is preferably a disposable filter or one which can be washed a few times.
- the overlap area 13 is designed in the breathing bowl in the form of a depression, in the example a U-shaped groove (FIG. 2), which ensures that the filter 3 is securely held on the breathing bowl.
- a Velcro arrangement can be provided on the filter 3 and on the overlapping area 13 of the breathing bowl 2.
- the breathing air is filtered by means of the filter 3.
- the filter 3 can have the same filter quality as in the case of medical masks, or it can also be designed in a more sophisticated quality, in particular for repeated use.
- the filter 3 consists of three layers, an outer textile layer made of jersey and hydrophobic, which can also be variably printed and it can be provided with a virus blocker.
- a middle layer is provided with a virus blocker and is partially flexible and is not moved by breathing. The latter improves the aesthetic effect.
- An inner layer facing the wearer's chin is made of soft, hydrophilic cotton, is extremely comfortable to wear and absorbs moisture.
- the breathing bowl 2 can preferably be produced by injection molding.
- the mask is held on the wearer's head by means of a fastening strap 4, as shown in FIGS. 1, 2 and 6.
- the breathing bowl 2 is provided on both sides at the edge with a fastening point 10 for receiving one end of the fastening strap 4.
- the fastening strap 4 can also be guided around the ears by an adjusting and tensioning device 11 (FIGS. 1-4) and guiding the fastening strap 4 in a loop in order to attach the mask snugly to the head, regardless of size and shape of the head and face, including beard wearers, as shown by way of example with reference to FIGS. 5a-5e.
- it can also be attached to the filter 3, preferably to its lower edge (FIG. 5a).
- Fastening variant according to FIG. 5d enables increased tension on the lower edge 8 of the filter 3.
- the fastening tape 4 can also have an adjustable tension.
- the breathing bowl 2 can again have a fastening point 10 on both sides for one end of the fastening strap 4 of the mask 1, the other ends of which can be fastened to the filter 3, preferably to its lower edge 8, in order to fit snugly on the neck to enable the filter 3 (Fig. 5a, 6).
- an additional collar 16 for example a rubber band, can be passed around the neck and hooked or clamped onto the fastening band 4 (FIG. 5e), which pulls the filter 3 down a little and seals it better on the neck.
- the collar 16 can also be a tensioning device for the purpose of shortening have to pull the filter 3 down a little if necessary for better sealing.
- the collar 16 serves as a suspension for a mask 1 temporarily worn under the face, so that it is or remains within reach.
- the breathing bowl 2 of the mask 1 is compact, washable and thus, in addition to the possibility of single use, can be used several times by the same person, which is a significant advantage from an ecological point of view. It enables natural breathing without fogging up your glasses. When put on, the mask offers great bidirectional protection against aerosols.
- the filter 3 can be folded in a trapezoidal shape along a fold 17 and already contain the fastening tape 4 in a tape guide 18 (FIGS. 7, 8). It has an outer layer on the rear and the visible front side, the lower approx. 2/3 of the sloping sides are closed, in the example they are blackened.
- the fastening tape 4 is already contained in the rear or lower edge of the filter 3.
