Definitions
- the invention relates to a conveyor system with a conveyor device forming a conveyor path for conveying a wafer sheet.
- the invention relates to a conveyor system for wafer sheets which - for example in the context of a baking system - is used in the production of sweet waffles, specially rolled ice cream cones.
- Conveyor systems for conveying baked goods, namely rolls, are known, for example, from DE 202006003 637 Ul, with special conveyor systems for conveying wafer sheets being known from EP 2 884 845 B1.
- Conveyor systems of this type operate cyclically, the wafer sheet being fed to a folding device integrated in the conveyor system, which lifts the edge section of the wafer sheet by means of a folding mechanism and folds it onto the section remaining in the plane of the wafer sheet. So that the folded edge section remains on the rest of the wafer sheet, this edge section must also be pressed with a pressure roller against the section of the wafer sheet that has remained in the plane before the wafer sheet processed in this way can be transported further and, for example, processed into a rolled ice cream cone.
- the disadvantage of such systems is that the intermittent operation is not suitable for high production speeds and limits the productivity of the baking system as a whole.
- pressing the edge section onto the wafer sheet section remaining in the plane of the wafer sheet by means of a pressure roller does not lead to satisfactory production results.
- the thickness of the wafer sheet is reduced during the pressing of the folded-over edge section in relation to the non-processed area of the wafer sheet.
- the object of the invention is therefore to create a conveyor system for the production of wafer sheets, in which an edge section is to be turned over for further processing of the wafer sheet, which enables a high production speed with little expenditure on equipment.
- the basic idea of the invention is to integrate the apparatus structures necessary for turning over the edge area of a flat wafer sheet in a conveying path in such a way that the wafer sheet can be processed during the transport process without the conveyance having to be interrupted.
- the use of the passively acting chicane can increase the production speed, while at the same time the outlay on equipment and the associated maintenance outlay are reduced.
- a conveyor system with a conveyor device forming a conveyor line for conveying a wafer sheet in which a chicane engaging in the conveyor line with an inlet for receiving an edge section of the wafer sheet, one that lifts the edge section out of the plane of the wafer sheet and above the one in the plane rest of the wafer sheet section in the direction of the opposite edge of the restrained guide and the folded edge section of the wafer sheet resting on the wafer sheet section remaining in the plane outlet is provided.
- the chicane engages in the conveying path in such a way that the edge section of the wafer sheet opposite a section remaining in the plane of the wafer sheet is forced to execute a movement that moves the edge of the edge section above the wafer sheet plane and in the direction of that opposite the edge section in the plane Edge section leads.
- the turned-over edge section is placed against the section of the wafer sheet that has remained in the plane and, in particular, is pressed on. Due to the use of the chicane, a sharp-edged turning of the Edge portion of the wafer sheet possible that can not be reached with a folding device.
- the forced guidance preferably has a curved path extending transversely to the conveying path and winding in the vertical direction by 180 °.
- the chicane has a support, which extends from the opposite edge of the wafer sheet section remaining in the plane and is spaced above the conveying path, to support the folded edge section of the wafer sheet.
- This preferred embodiment creates a channel in the chicane which preferably corresponds to the thickness of the wafer sheet and causes the edge section to be folded over in a precisely positioned manner.
- the outlet has a wall which is arranged above the conveying path and whose distance from the conveying path is less than twice the layer thickness of the wafer sheet to be transported. This configuration ensures that the folded edge section is pressed in a defined manner against the section remaining in the plane of the wafer sheet without a pressure roller having to actively exert pressure on the folded edge section.
- the conveying device of the conveyor system is preferably designed as a belt conveyor.
- the belt or belts preferably run in a table serving as a support surface for the wafer sheet to be transported.
- at least two conveyor belts that are arranged one above the other and driven in opposite directions are provided, the distance between which - at least in some areas - is less than the layer thickness of the wafer sheet to be transported. The wafer sheet is clamped between these belts and gently transported with the belt.
- the conveyor system has rollers that guide the conveyor belts of the belt conveyor and whose horizontal distance from one another is less than the diameter of the wafer sheet to be transported.
- This configuration enables the exertion of a uniform force which acts on the respective wafer sheet and causes the transport.
- at least two first rollers arranged transversely to the conveying direction and at least two second rollers arranged transversely to the conveying direction are provided, which, viewed in the conveying direction, are arranged one after the other, the first and second rollers being arranged on an imaginary area that is smaller than the area of the is to be transported wafer sheet. This ensures that four rolls are always in contact with the wafer sheet to be transported.
- rollers of the lower conveyor belt and the rollers of the upper conveyor belt are arranged alternately as seen in the conveying direction.
- the conveyor system designed according to the invention is specifically provided for circular wafer sheets that are to be processed further into rolled ice cream cones.
- the conveyor system is also suitable for other forms of wafer sheets in which it is necessary to knock an edge section onto a wafer sheet section remaining in the plane of the wafer sheet.
