The building block includes: • a first panel and a second panel, each of these panels having an outer surface, an inner surface, side edges, the outer surfaces forming the exposed surfaces of the building block;
• au moins un élément d’espacement et d’assemblage assemblant les deux panneaux en définissant un espacement entre leurs surfaces internes, les surfaces internes des deux panneaux assemblés étant agencées en regard, la rainure d’assemblage le long d’une des surfaces de jointement latérales étant formée par l’espacement entre les surfaces internes en regard des deux panneaux ; et • at least one spacer and assembly element assembling the two panels by defining a spacing between their internal surfaces, the internal surfaces of the two assembled panels being arranged facing each other, the assembly groove along one of the surfaces of lateral joint being formed by the spacing between the facing internal surfaces of the two panels; and
The outer surface of a first of these two boards is attached to the inner surface of the first panel, so that part of its width protrudes from a first edge of the first panel. On the other hand, the outer surface of a second of these boards is fixed to the inner surface of the second panel, so that part of its width protrudes from a first edge of the second panel and in such a way as to that the internal surfaces of the two boards are facing each other.
[0005] It will be appreciated that the at least one spacing and assembly element allows control of the spacing between the panels and ultimately the thickness of the building block. In addition, the spacing between the internal surfaces of the two panels may allow, eg. eg, the introduction of a thermal and / or acoustic insulation material in the space between their internal surfaces of the assembly block. In other applications, eg. ex. when building blocks are used to form a partition wall for an indoor working area (for safety), the spacing can be greatly reduced. The first aspect of the invention thus provides building blocks having increased flexibility compared to a building system as described in patent LU 100520.
[0006] By two elements (eg two boards, two panels) "facing" is meant that these two elements are opposite each other. In other words, the two elements are opposite.
By "board" and "panels" is meant flat pieces, longer than they are wide and not very thick. [0008] According to one embodiment, approximately 50% of the width of the boards protrudes from a first edge of the respective panels. For example, between 40% and 60%, preferably between 45% and 55%, even more preferably between 48% and 52%, of the width of the board protrudes from the first edge of the respective panels. This embodiment has the advantage of providing a structurally robust tongue and groove assembly system.
According to a preferred embodiment, the internal surfaces of the parts of the boards which protrude from the first edges of the first and second panels are thinned over a width and a length ranging from 5 to 15 mm, preferably, from 7 to 12 mm, still more preferably 11 mm g, from the edges of the protruding board parts.
According to a preferred embodiment, the assembly grooves comprise raised local surfaces arranged on the internal surfaces of the panels, the raised local surfaces being arranged so as to serve as bearing surfaces for the ends of the tongues of. assembly of a second building block as described above.
[0011] Advantageously, the at least one spacer and assembly element may include at least one transverse spacer board which is fixed to the internal surfaces of the panels.
According to one embodiment, the internal surfaces of the panels comprise recesses (mortises), preferably milled, arranged so that their base surfaces are exactly arranged at a distance d from the external surface of the respective panels. The recesses can separate the raised local surfaces, and together with them, structure the internal surfaces of the panels.
[0013] The at least one spacer and assembly element may include at least two transverse spacer boards arranged in parallel.
Preferably, the boards comprise, on their outer surfaces, keyways, the grooves being parallel to the edge of the panel. Advantageously, the two boards are formed by two board elements. Preferably, the two board elements are separate. A first board member essentially comprises a keyway in the direction of the length of the board. A second board member comprises a keyway in the length direction of the board and a keyway in the direction of the width of the board, said second board member being arranged at right angles to the first board member. plank.
[0016] The panels can comprise, at the level of the assembly grooves, on their internal surfaces, keyways or mortises which are parallel to the edge of the panel.
The side edges of the panels can include several tongues and grooves of millimeter dimensions, arranged so as to fit together when the assembly tongue of the block fits into the assembly groove of a second building block such as as described above. This has the advantage of allowing interlocking between the different panels of the different boards.
[0018] The panels, planks and / or spacers can be panels, planks and / or spacers made of wood, fiber cement and / or plastic.
[0019] According to a preferred embodiment, the two panels are arranged in parallel by the at least one spacer and assembly element.
The building block advantageously comprises panels and boards having the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped. The block then advantageously comprises four lateral joining surfaces, of which two of these lateral joining surfaces comprise assembly grooves and two others of these lateral joining surfaces comprise assembly tongues, capable of forming a seal with at least an adjacent building block having the same four side mating surfaces. It should be noted, however, that it is not excluded to use construction elements having a shape other than a rectangular parallelepiped and / or another number or arrangement of joining surfaces equipped with tongues and / or grooves. The panel and board assembly could be formed monolithically, p. ex. by molding when these are made of plastic. On the other hand, it is not excluded that the different panels, boards and at least one spacer and assembly element are formed from different materials.
[0022] Un second aspect de l’invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d’un bloc de construction tel que décrit ci-dessus, comprenant : [0022] A second aspect of the invention relates to a method of manufacturing a building block as described above, comprising:
• la production, p. ex. l’usinage, des panneaux et des planches ; • production, p. ex. machining, panels and planks;
• la fixation des planches aux panneaux ; • fixing the boards to the panels;
• le stockage des planches et des panneaux ainsi produits ; • storage of boards and panels produced in this way;
• la production du au moins un élément d’espacement selon une épaisseur de blocs commandés ; et • the production of at least one spacer according to a thickness of ordered blocks; and
• assembly of the ordered block using stored parts and custom produced spacers, so as to produce a block of the ordered thickness.
[0023] It will be appreciated that the structure of a building block as described above allows it to be made to order, and thus, p. ex. reduce the space required for pre-sales storage. Indeed, it is possible to produce and fix the different panels and boards that will form the block in advance. The panels and planks can then be stored in a warehouse pending a building block order. Depending on the thickness requirements for the order, spacers can be produced and the blocks assembled and sent to the recipient.

Description détaillée d’un mode de réalisation de l’invention Detailed description of an embodiment of the invention
[0026] FIG. 1 illustrates a building block 10 for a tongue and groove assembly according to a preferred embodiment of the invention. Block 10 includes side mating surfaces, described below, permitting interconnection of building block 10 with another building block according to the preferred embodiment of the invention. Block 10 comprises a first panel 12 and a second panel 14, each of these panels having an outer surface 16, an inner surface 18, side edges 20. The two panels are secured by spacers and joints 22. so that the internal surfaces 18 of the two assembled panels 12, 14 are arranged facing each other. The outer surfaces 16 then form the exposed surfaces of the building block 10. The elements 22 create a spacing between the internal surfaces 18 of the two panels 12, 14. The building block further comprises a first board 24 and a second board. 26, each of these two boards 24, 26 having an external surface 28, an internal surface 30. A part of the external surface 28 of each of these two boards is fixed on the internal surface 18. of the two respective panels 12, 14, as shown in FIG. 1. The parts which protrude from the boards 24, 26 thus form assembly tongues.
According to a preferred embodiment, the panels 12, 14, the boards 24, 26 and the elements 22 are rectangular parallelepipeds. Other forms are obviously also contemplated, depending on needs and applications. The panels 12, 14, the boards 24, 26 and the elements 22 can also have different shapes. It is possible to conceive that the visible surfaces comprise a pattern and / or a relief in such a way as to make them the decorative block.
According to the preferred embodiment, the boards 24, 26 are each formed by a first board member 32 and a second board member 34. The first board member 32 essentially comprises a keyway 36 in the direction of the length L Pi of the board. The second board member 34 includes a keyway 38 in the direction of the length L p2 of the board and a keyway 40 in the direction of the width l p2 of the board. The grooves are advantageously parallel to at least one of the edges of the panel. The groove 40 of the second board member 34 is advantageously aligned with the groove 36 of the first board member 32 such that when the second board member 34 is arranged at right angles to the first board member 32, these two grooves form a continuous groove 36, 40. Advantageously the dimensions of these grooves are similar (ie at a tolerance of 10%), or even identical (ie at a tolerance of 1% ). According to one embodiment, the boards 32, 34 are not formed by two board elements 30, 32 but are formed monolithically.
As indicated above, the boards 24, 26 are fixed to the panels 12, 14. In particular, the first board member 32 is fixed so that approximately 50% of its width exceeds a first edge of the panel. On the other hand, the second board member 34 is fixed so that about 50% of its width protrudes from a second edge of the panel. Said first edge and second edge of the panel meet at a corner of the panel. The boards 32, 34 are thus adjacent. As shown in Fig. 1, the different grooves of the boards 32, 34 are arranged in the part which protrudes from the panels 12, 14. On the other hand, the panels 12, 14 comprise, at the level of the assembly grooves, on their internal surfaces 18, grooves or mortises 42 for a key which are parallel to the edge of the panel. These grooves or mortises 42 are arranged so as to face the grooves 36, 38, 40 of the boards 32, 34. Thus, when several blocks are interconnected, interstitial spaces are formed for key insertion. The various building blocks 10 are made integral by the insertion of keys in the interstitial spaces. For example, a key such as disclosed in patent LU 100520 could be suitable.
According to one embodiment, the side edges 20 of the panels 12, 14 can comprise a plurality of tongues and grooves of millimeter dimensions (not shown in Figs. 1-3, 5, 6). This plurality of tongues and grooves of millimeter dimensions is arranged on the side edges 20 so as to fit together when the assembly tongue of the block 10 fits into the assembly groove of a second building block according to said assembly. embodiment. Fig. 4 is a sectional view of a panel (12 or 14) showing the plurality of tongues and grooves of millimeter dimensions 43 arranged on the side edges 20.
[0032] FIG. 2 is an enlargement of part of FIG. 1 showing part of panel 12 and boards 32, 34 of building block 10 according to the preferred embodiment of the invention. As shown in FIG. 2, the outer surfaces 28 of the parts of the boards 24, 26 which protrude from the panels 12, 14 are thinned over a width l a , respectively a length L a , within the range of 5 to 15 mm from the edges of the parts of boards protruding. In particular, the plank element 32 is thinned over a width L a . The plank member 34 is thinned over both a width l a and a length L a . As a result, bearing surfaces are created on the outer surfaces 28 at a distance l a , respectively L a , from the edges of the protruding board parts. In addition, with reference to FIG. 3, the assembly grooves comprise raised local surfaces 44 arranged on the internal surfaces 18 of the panels 14. A part of the raised local surfaces 44 are arranged to serve as bearing surfaces for the ends of the assembly tongues d. 'a second building block comprising planks 24, 26 with outer surfaces 28 thinned as described above. Advantageously, the bearing surfaces are located at a distance la and / or L a from the edge of the panels 12, 14 in order to cooperate with, more particularly to rest on, the bearing surfaces of the boards 24, 26 of a other block. Preferably, the distances la and L a are identical.
With reference to Figs. 1 and 3, the spacer and assembly elements 22 are arranged perpendicular to the internal surfaces 18 and between the two panels 12, 14. The spacer and assembly elements 22 are fixed to the internal surfaces 18 of the panels 12. , 14. Countersunk recesses 46 are arranged on the inner surface 18 of the panels 12, 14. The recesses 46 are arranged such that their base surfaces are exactly arranged at a distance d from the outer surface of the panels. panels. The spacers and connections 22 are attached to the base surfaces of the recesses. It follows that it is possible to precisely control the total thickness of the building blocks 10 through the control of the distance d as well as the spacing introduced by the spacers and joints. Ideally, the panels 12, 14 are arranged in parallel after attachment of the spacers and joints 22.
In other words, the internal surfaces 18 of the panels 12 and 14 are structured by the recesses 46 (and the raised local surfaces 44). The set of recesses can form a continuous surface or in several separate parts. The spacers and joints 22 are joined to the panels 12, 14 on the base surfaces of the mortises 46. Methods of producing the recesses 46 other than milling are also contemplated, such as planing, routing, etc. . The localized control at the level of the indentations of the distance d makes it possible to relax the precision constraint on the thickness of the panels 12, 14 made available for the manufacture of a building block. In other words, the overall thickness of a building block 10 can be controlled with great precision by controlling the distance d (i.e. the depth of the indentations, which can be individually adjusted. for each panel 12, 14 as a function of the actual thickness thereof) and of the depth of the spacing and assembly elements 22. In practice, it is therefore possible to compensate for variations in the thickness of the panels 12. , 14 (due to high tolerances defined by the producers) by the control of the distance d, which allows to make walls, partitions, facades etc. very flat and smooth. By eye or touch, the user will not feel any protrusion or indentation at the joints between the building blocks. This significantly facilitates the finishing work.
[0035] According to a preferred embodiment, some of the spacer and assembly elements 22 are fixed so as to extend essentially along the length of the panel and other spacer and assembly elements 22 are attached so as to extend substantially along the width of the panel. Advantageously, the spacer and assembly members 22 extending substantially along the length of the panel are arranged side by side, in contact, with the spacer and assembly members 22 extending substantially the length of the panel. along the width of the panel so as to make the blocks structurally more robust to shear of the block. An example of such a configuration is given in Fig. 1, where three spacers 22 extend substantially the width of the panel and 11 spacers 22 extend substantially the length of the panel. In a preferred embodiment, the elements extending substantially along the length of the panel are arranged perpendicular to the elements extending substantially along the width of the panel.
[0036] When mounting the spacing and assembly elements 22, the recesses 46 can also act as a guide for the placement of the elements 22 on the panels. In this case, the recesses 46 are dimensioned in such a way that the entire side surface of the elements 22 touches the base surface of the recesses 46 and that the width of the recess is the same as the thickness of the elements. 22.
Alternatively, the recesses can be sized so that there is play for the placement of the elements 22 and / or to allow variations in the thickness of these parts (within the defined tolerance range by their producer).
It should be noted that the panels, planks and / or spacers are panels, planks and / or spacers made of wood, fiber cement and / or plastic. Preferably, the latter are made of wood. On the other hand, the fixing of the boards 24, 26 to the panels 12,14, the spacing and assembly elements 22 to the panels 12,14 can be done by glue or by inserting one or more studs in planks, panels and / or spacers and assemblies. For example, in the preferred embodiment illustrated in Figs. 1-3, dowel holes 48 are arranged on the base surface of the recesses 46. On the other hand, dowel holes 48 are also arranged on the side surfaces of the spacer and joint members 22. FIG. . 1 shows the situation where the studs 50 are already inserted into the holes arranged on the side surfaces of the spacer and assembly members 22. As illustrated in Figs. 4, 5, panels 12, 14 can be attached to boards 24 with studs inserted into stud holes 48 arranged on the inner surface of panels 12, 14 and the outer surface of boards 24, 26.
[0040] It is also possible to achieve the fixing by the use of studs and glue. The use of screws and / or nails to achieve the fastening is not excluded, but the use of studs and / or glue is preferred.
[0041] Des blocs de construction tel que décrit ci-dessus peuvent être fabriqués selon un procédé comprenant : Building blocks as described above can be manufactured according to a process comprising:
• la production, p. ex. l’usinage, des panneaux et des planches ; • production, p. ex. machining, panels and planks;
• la fixation des planches aux panneaux ; • fixing the boards to the panels;
• le stockage des planches et des panneaux ainsi produits ; • storage of boards and panels produced in this way;
• la production du au moins un élément d’espacement selon une épaisseur de blocs commandés ; et • the production of at least one spacer according to a thickness of ordered blocks; and
• assembly of the ordered block using stored parts and custom produced spacers, so as to produce a block having said ordered thickness.
[0042] Alternatively, it is also possible to fix the boards to the panels after receipt of the order. In this way, it is possible to further reduce the storage space required.
The production of panels and planks includes structuring of panels and planks, p. ex. the milling of the recesses on the internal surface of the panels, the machining of the keyways on the elements of board, the arrangement (e.g. by drilling) of dowel holes on the surfaces of panels, boards, etc.
It should be noted that it is possible to produce spacers in several thicknesses typical in the field of construction so that the production can be done in one go and that only remains '' to assemble the spacers after receipt of the order.
