　物品のレンタルを行うレンタル事業者は、当該物品の販売業者から物品を購入して在庫として管理し、レンタル品として提供している。そのため、レンタル事業者にとって、需給調整は重要な課題であり、綿密な需給予測を行って物品を仕入れている。そのため、ある物品の購入とレンタルとの両方を検討できる状況であっても、それぞれ別々の事業者により提供されているため、ウェブサイトやＥＣサイト等を参照して検討する場合でも別々のウェブサイト等を参照して検討する必要があり、利用者にとって利便性が低い状況である。
　以上のようなことから、物品の購入とレンタルとの両方を検討可能であり、販売業者及びレンタル事業者の双方にとってメリットのあるシステムの技術が望まれている。
　そこで、本開示では、物品の購入とレンタルとの両方を検討可能な技術について説明する。
　本開示の一実施形態によると、制御部と、記憶部とを備える情報処理装置であって、物品のレンタルサービスをユーザに提供するためのものである。記憶部は、物品それぞれを特定するための情報を記憶するように構成されており、制御部は、外部のウェブサイトにおいて、レンタル対象の物品のレンタル申し込みの指示をユーザから受け付けるための第１の情報を生成するステップと、外部のウェブサイトに対するユーザの端末からのアクセスに応答して、当該ユーザの端末に、第１の情報に基づいて、レンタル対象の物品のレンタル申し込みをする第１の指示を受け付ける画面を表示させるステップと、第１の指示をユーザから受け付けることに応答して、当該第１の指示にかかる物品を購入するための処理を行うステップと、当該購入された物品を、レンタルサービスのレンタル対象として管理するための処理を行うステップと、を行う。
　一実施形態によると、プロセッサを備えるコンピュータに実行させ、物品のレンタルサービスをユーザに提供するための方法が提供される。この方法は、プロセッサが、外部のウェブサイトにおいて、レンタル対象の物品のレンタル申し込みの指示をユーザから受け付けるための第１の情報を生成するステップと、外部のウェブサイトに対するユーザの端末からのアクセスに応答して、当該ユーザの端末に、第１の情報に基づいて、レンタル対象の物品のレンタル申し込みをする第１の指示を受け付ける画面を表示させるステップと、第１の指示をユーザから受け付けることに応答して、当該第１の指示にかかる物品を購入するための処理を行うステップと、当該購入された物品を、レンタルサービスのレンタル対象として管理するための処理を行うステップと、を実行する。
　また、一実施形態によると、プロセッサを備えるコンピュータに実行させ、物品のレンタルサービスをユーザに提供するためのプログラムが提供される。このプログラムは、プロセッサに、外部のウェブサイトにおいて、レンタル対象の物品のレンタル申し込みの指示をユーザから受け付けるための第１の情報を生成するステップと、外部のウェブサイトに対するユーザの端末からのアクセスに応答して、当該ユーザの端末に、第１の情報に基づいて、レンタル対象の物品のレンタル申し込みをする第１の指示を受け付ける画面を表示させるステップと、第１の指示をユーザから受け付けることに応答して、当該第１の指示にかかる物品を購入するための処理を行うステップと、当該購入された物品を、レンタルサービスのレンタル対象として管理するための処理を行うステップと、を実行させる。
　本開示によれば、外部のウェブサイトに、レンタル対象の物品のレンタル申し込みの指示をユーザから受け付けるための第１の情報を生成し、物品のレンタル申し込みを受け付けると、当該物品を購入し、レンタルサービスのレンタル対象として管理する。これにより、物品の販売情報が掲載された外部のウェブサイトにおけるレンタル申し込みのための第１の情報により、物品の購入とレンタルとの両方を検討可能である。また、レンタル申し込みがあると物品が購入されるので、販売業者にもメリットがあり、レンタル申し込みがあるまで在庫管理の必要がないのでレンタル事業者にもメリットがあるシステムの構築が可能になる。

　以下、図面を参照しつつ、本開示の実施の形態について説明する。以下の説明では、同一の部品には同一の符号を付してある。それらの名称および機能も同じである。したがって、それらについての詳細な説明は繰り返さない。
　＜概要＞
　以下、レンタルサービスについて説明する。このレンタルサービスは、例えば、家電製品や衣料品、バッグ等の物品を一定期間レンタルするためのサービスである。ユーザは、このレンタルサービスを提供するサーバに会員登録を行い、当該サーバにアクセスすることにより物品のレンタルのサービスを利用可能となっている。このレンタルサービスでレンタル可能な物品は、メーカやブランド、性能、ランクが異なるものが複数種類用意され、ユーザの好みによりレンタルの申込を行うことで利用可能である。
　また、このレンタルサービスでレンタル可能な物品は、他の販売業者から購入することも可能になっている。このレンタルサービスを運営するレンタル事業者は、当該他の販売業者から物品を購入し、レンタルサービスのユーザに対して購入した物品をレンタルしている。そのとき、レンタルサービスを利用するための利用料金は、通常は販売業者から購入するよりも低廉になっており、ユーザにとって他の販売業者から購入するよりも安価に当該物品を利用することが可能である。また、レンタル事業者は、一度当該他の販売業者から物品を購入すると、その物品をレンタル可能な物品の在庫として管理し、レンタルサービスのユーザに対してその物品をレンタルしている。そのため、レンタル事業者は、当該物品がどれくらい（期間、回数）レンタルされるか予測し、レンタル利用料金の総額が他の販売業者からの購入金額より（自己の管理費用等のコストも含めて）高額になるようにレンタル利用料金を設定することで、利益を上げている。
　さらに、他の販売業者が運営するＥＣサイトでは、その販売業者が販売する物品が掲載されたページにおいて、前述のレンタル事業者からレンタルすることも可能になっている。例えば、その販売業者が運営するＥＣサイトでは、その販売業者が販売する物品が掲載されたページにおいて、前述のレンタル事業者からレンタルするための申し込みが行えるようになっている。具体的には、その販売業者の物品が掲載されたページには、レンタル事業者からレンタルするための申し込み画面へ遷移するためのリンクが設けられている。このとき、その物品を購入した場合の価格と、レンタルした場合の利用料金とが表示され、両方の場合について検討できるようになっている。これにより、ユーザがレンタルの申し込みを行ってもレンタル事業者が当該物品を購入するので販売業者にとってもメリットがあり、レンタル事業者は当該物品を購入するまでは在庫を管理する必要がないのでメリットがあることになる。
　以下の実施形態では、レンタルサービスは、カメラ、交換レンズ、または家電製品等の物品をレンタルするサービスを例として説明する。
　＜第１の実施の形態＞
　以下、カメラ、交換レンズ、または家電製品等の物品をレンタルするレンタルサービスシステム１について説明する。以下の説明では、例えば、端末装置１０がサーバ２０または外部サーバ３０へアクセスすることにより、サーバ２０または外部サーバ３０が、端末装置１０で画面を生成するための情報を応答する。端末装置１０は、サーバ２０または外部サーバ３０から受信した情報に基づいて画面を生成し表示する。
　＜１　レンタルサービスシステム１の全体構成＞
　図１は、レンタルサービスシステム１の全体の構成を示す図である。レンタルサービスシステムは、カメラ、交換レンズ、または家電製品等の物品をレンタルするためのシステムである。図１に示すように、レンタルサービスシステム１は、複数の端末装置（図１では、端末装置１０Ａおよび端末装置１０Ｂを示している。以下、総称して「端末装置１０」ということもある）と、サーバ２０と、外部サーバ３０とを含む。端末装置１０とサーバ２０と外部サーバ３０とは、ネットワーク８０を介して相互に通信可能に接続されている。ネットワーク８０は、有線または無線ネットワークにより構成される。
　端末装置１０は、各ユーザが操作する装置である。端末装置１０は、移動体通信システムに対応したスマートフォン、タブレット等の携帯端末などにより実現される。この他、端末装置１０は、例えば据え置き型のＰＣ（Personal Computer）、ラップトップＰＣであるとしてもよい。図１に端末装置１０Ｂとして示すように、端末装置１０は、通信ＩＦ（Interface）１２と、入力装置１３と、出力装置１４と、メモリ１５と、記憶部１６と、プロセッサ１９とを備える。
　端末装置１０は、ネットワーク８０を介してサーバ２０と通信可能に接続される。端末装置１０は、５Ｇ、ＬＴＥ（Long Term Evolution）などの通信規格に対応した無線基地局８１、ＩＥＥＥ（Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers）８０２．１１などの無線ＬＡＮ（Local Area Network）規格に対応した無線ＬＡＮルータ８２等の通信機器と通信することにより、ネットワーク８０に接続される。
　通信ＩＦ１２は、端末装置１０が外部の装置と通信するため、信号を入出力するためのインタフェースである。入力装置１３は、ユーザからの入力操作を受け付けるための入力装置（例えば、タッチパネル、タッチパッド、マウス等のポインティングデバイス、キーボード等）である。出力装置１４は、ユーザに対し情報を提示するための出力装置（ディスプレイ、スピーカ等）である。メモリ１５は、プログラム、および、プログラム等で処理されるデータ等を一時的に記憶するためのものであり、例えばＤＲＡＭ（Dynamic Random Access Memory）等の揮発性のメモリである。記憶部１６は、データを保存するための記憶装置であり、例えばフラッシュメモリ、ＨＤＤ（Hard Disc Drive）である。プロセッサ１９は、プログラムに記述された命令セットを実行するためのハードウェアであり、演算装置、レジスタ、周辺回路などにより構成される。
　サーバ２０は、レンタル事業者が使用する装置であり、レンタルサービスシステム１が提供するレンタルサービスの各ユーザの情報、レンタル可能な物品の情報、及び、レンタル可能な物品の在庫状況の情報を管理する装置である。サーバ２０は、ユーザからのレンタルの申し込みを、外部サーバ３０を介して受け付ける。
　また、サーバ２０は、申し込みのあったレンタルの物品の在庫がない場合、外部サーバ３０に対して当該物品の購入を申し込む。サーバ２０は、ユーザからのレンタルの申し込みを受け付け、当該物品の在庫がある場合、または外部サーバ３０から購入した場合、当該物品の発送処理を行う。
　サーバ２０は、ネットワーク８０に接続されたコンピュータである。サーバ２０は、通信ＩＦ２２と、入出力ＩＦ２３と、メモリ２５と、ストレージ２６と、プロセッサ２９とを備える。
　通信ＩＦ２２は、サーバ２０が外部の装置と通信するため、信号を入出力するためのインタフェースである。入出力ＩＦ２３は、レンタル事業者からの入力操作を受け付けるための入力装置、および、ユーザに対し情報を提示するための出力装置とのインタフェースとして機能する。メモリ２５は、プログラム、および、プログラム等で処理されるデータ等を一時的に記憶するためのものであり、例えばＤＲＡＭ（Dynamic Random Access Memory）等の揮発性のメモリである。ストレージ２６は、データを保存するための記憶装置であり、例えばフラッシュメモリ、ＨＤＤ（Hard Disc Drive）である。プロセッサ２９は、プログラムに記述された命令セットを実行するためのハードウェアであり、演算装置、レジスタ、周辺回路などにより構成される。
　外部サーバ３０は、販売業者が使用する装置であり、ＥＣサイト（外部のウェブサイト）の各ユーザの情報、販売可能な物品の情報、及び、販売可能な物品の在庫状況の情報を管理する装置である。外部サーバ３０は、ユーザに対して、販売可能であり、レンタル可能な物品を提示し、ユーザからの販売またはレンタルの申し込みを受け付ける。外部サーバ３０は、物品のレンタルの申し込みがあった場合、サーバ２０に対してレンタルの申し込みの指示を行う。
　外部サーバ３０は、ネットワーク８０に接続されたコンピュータである。外部サーバ３０は、通信ＩＦ３２と、入出力ＩＦ３３と、メモリ３５と、ストレージ３６と、プロセッサ３９とを備える。
　通信ＩＦ３２は、外部サーバ３０が外部の装置と通信するため、信号を入出力するためのインタフェースである。入出力ＩＦ３３は、ユーザからの入力操作を受け付けるための入力装置、および、ユーザに対し情報を提示するための出力装置とのインタフェースとして機能する。メモリ３５は、プログラム、および、プログラム等で処理されるデータ等を一時的に記憶するためのものであり、例えばＤＲＡＭ（Dynamic Random Access Memory）等の揮発性のメモリである。ストレージ３６は、データを保存するための記憶装置であり、例えばフラッシュメモリ、ＨＤＤ（Hard Disc Drive）である。プロセッサ３９は、プログラムに記述された命令セットを実行するためのハードウェアであり、演算装置、レジスタ、周辺回路などにより構成される。
　＜１．１　端末装置１０の構成＞
　図２は、実施の形態１のレンタルサービスシステム１を構成する端末装置１０のブロック図である。図２に示すように、端末装置１０は、複数のアンテナ（アンテナ１１１、アンテナ１１２）と、各アンテナに対応する無線通信部（第１無線通信部１２１、第２無線通信部１２２）と、操作受付部１３０（タッチ・センシティブ・デバイス１３１およびディスプレイ１３２を含む）と、音声処理部１４０と、マイク１４１と、スピーカ１４２と、位置情報センサ１５０と、カメラ１６０と、記憶部１７０と、制御部１８０とを含む。端末装置１０は、図２では特に図示していない機能及び構成（例えば、電力を保持するためのバッテリー、バッテリーから各回路への電力の供給を制御する電力供給回路など）も有している。図２に示すように、端末装置１０に含まれる各ブロックは、バス等により電気的に接続される。
　アンテナ１１１は、端末装置１０が発する信号を電波として放射する。また、アンテナ１１１は、空間から電波を受信して受信信号を第１無線通信部１２１へ与える。
　アンテナ１１２は、端末装置１０が発する信号を電波として放射する。また、アンテナ１１２は、空間から電波を受信して受信信号を第２無線通信部１２２へ与える。
　第１無線通信部１２１は、端末装置１０が他の無線機器と通信するため、アンテナ１１１を介して信号を送受信するための変復調処理などを行う。第２無線通信部１２２は、端末装置１０が他の無線機器と通信するため、アンテナ１１２を介して信号を送受信するための変復調処理などを行う。第１無線通信部１２１と第２無線通信部１２２とは、チューナー、ＲＳＳＩ（Received Signal Strength Indicator）算出回路、ＣＲＣ（Cyclic Redundancy Check）算出回路、高周波回路などを含む通信モジュールである。第１無線通信部１２１と第２無線通信部１２２とは、端末装置１０が送受信する無線信号の変復調や周波数変換を行い、受信信号を制御部１８０へ与える。
　操作受付部１３０は、ユーザの入力操作を受け付けるための機構を有する。具体的には、操作受付部１３０は、タッチスクリーンとして構成され、タッチ・センシティブ・デバイス１３１と、ディスプレイ１３２とを含む。
　タッチ・センシティブ・デバイス１３１は、端末装置１０のユーザの入力操作を受け付ける。タッチ・センシティブ・デバイス１３１は、例えば静電容量方式のタッチパネルを用いることによって、タッチパネルに対するユーザの接触位置を検出する。タッチ・センシティブ・デバイス１３１は、タッチパネルにより検出したユーザの接触位置を示す信号を入力操作として制御部１８０へ出力する。
　ディスプレイ１３２は、制御部１８０の制御に応じて、画像、動画、テキストなどのデータを表示する。ディスプレイ１３２は、例えばＬＣＤ（Liquid Crystal Display）や有機ＥＬ（Electro-Luminescence）ディスプレイによって実現される。
　音声処理部１４０は、音声信号の変復調を行う。音声処理部１４０は、マイク１４１から与えられる信号を変調して、変調後の信号を制御部１８０へ与える。また、音声処理部１４０は、音声信号をスピーカ１４２へ与える。音声処理部１４０は、例えば音声処理用のプロセッサによって実現される。マイク１４１は、音声入力を受け付けて、当該音声入力に対応する音声信号を音声処理部１４０へ与える。スピーカ１４２は、音声処理部１４０から与えられる音声信号を音声に変換して当該音声を端末装置１０の外部へ出力する。
　位置情報センサ１５０は、端末装置１０の位置を検出するセンサであり、例えばＧＰＳ（Global Positioning System）モジュールである。ＧＰＳモジュールは、衛星測位システムで用いられる受信装置である。衛星測位システムでは、少なくとも３個または４個の衛星からの信号を受信し、受信した信号に基づいて、ＧＰＳモジュールが搭載される端末装置１０の現在位置を検出する。
　カメラ１６０は、受光素子により光を受光して、撮影画像として出力するためのデバイスである。カメラ１６０は、例えば、カメラ１６０から撮影対象までの距離を検出できる深度カメラである。
　記憶部１７０は、例えばフラッシュメモリ等により構成され、端末装置１０が使用するデータおよびプログラムを記憶する。ある局面において、記憶部１７０は、ユーザ情報１７１を記憶する。
　ユーザ情報１７１は、端末装置１０を用いてレンタルサービスを利用しているユーザの情報である。ユーザ情報としては、ユーザを識別する情報（ユーザＩＤ）、ユーザの名称、ユーザの属性情報、ユーザがレンタルを利用した物品の情報（物品を識別する物品ＩＤ）等が含まれる。
　制御部１８０は、記憶部１７０に記憶されるプログラムを読み込んで、プログラムに含まれる命令を実行することにより、端末装置１０の動作を制御する。制御部１８０は、例えば予め端末装置１０にインストールされているアプリケーションである。制御部１８０は、プログラムに従って動作することにより、入力操作受付部１８１と、送受信部１８２と、データ処理部１８３と、通知制御部１８４としての機能を発揮する。
　入力操作受付部１８１は、タッチ・センシティブ・デバイス１３１等の入力装置に対するユーザの入力操作を受け付ける処理を行う。入力操作受付部１８１は、タッチ・センシティブ・デバイス１３１に対してユーザが指などを接触させた座標の情報に基づき、ユーザの操作がフリック操作であるか、タップ操作であるか、ドラッグ（スワイプ）操作であるか等の操作の種別を判定する。
　送受信部１８２は、端末装置１０が、サーバ２０等の外部の装置と、通信プロトコルに従ってデータを送受信するための処理を行う。
　データ処理部１８３は、端末装置１０が入力を受け付けたデータに対し、プログラムに従って演算を行い、演算結果をメモリ等に出力する処理を行う。
　通知制御部１８４は、ユーザに対し情報を提示する処理を行う。通知制御部１８４は、表示画像をディスプレイ１３２に表示させる処理、音声をスピーカ１４２に出力させる処理、振動をカメラ１６０に発生させる処理等を行う。
　＜１．２　サーバ２０の機能的な構成＞
　図３は、実施の形態１のレンタルサービスシステム１を構成するサーバ２０の機能的な構成を示す図である。図３に示すように、サーバ２０は、通信部２０１と、記憶部２０２と、制御部２０３としての機能を発揮する。
　通信部２０１は、サーバ２０が外部の装置と通信するための処理を行う。
　記憶部２０２は、サ ーバ２０が使用するデータ及びプログラムを記憶する。記憶部２０２は、ユーザデータベース２８１と、レンタル物品データベース２８２と、レンタル物品在庫データベース２８３等を記憶する。
　ユーザデータベース２８１は、レンタルサービスシステム１における各ユーザの情報を保持するためのデータベースである。詳細は後述する。
　レンタル物品データベース２８２は、レンタルサービスシステム１が提供するレンタルサービスにおいてレンタル可能な物品に関する情報を保持するためのデータベースである。詳細は後述する。
　レンタル物品在庫データベース２８３は、レンタルサービスシステム１が提供するレンタルサービスにおいてレンタル可能な物品の在庫に関する情報を保持するためのデータベースである。詳細は後述する。
　制御部２０３は、サーバ２０のプロセッサがプログラムに従って処理を行うことにより、各種モジュールとして示す機能を発揮する。
　受信制御モジュール２０３１は、サーバ２０が外部の装置から通信プロトコルに従って信号を受信する処理を制御する。
　送信制御モジュール２０３２は、サーバ２０が外部の装置に対し通信プロトコルに従って信号を送信する処理を制御する。
　リンク生成モジュール２０３３は、レンタルサービスシステム１が提供する、レンタル対象の物品のレンタル申し込みの指示をユーザから受け付けるための第１の情報を生成する処理を制御する。具体的には、リンク生成モジュール２０３３は、レンタルサービスに申し込むための画面へのリンク（第１の情報）を生成する処理を制御する。レンタルサービスに申し込むための画面は、例えば、サーバ２０が提供するＷｅｂページである。すなわち、リンク生成モジュール２０３３は、外部サーバ３０が提供するＥＣサイトから、サーバ２０が提供する、当該物品が掲載されたＷｅｂページへ遷移するためのリンクを生成する。生成されたリンクの情報は、外部サーバ３０へ送信されて外部サーバ３０が提供するＥＣサイトに提示される。また、生成されたリンクの情報は、レンタル物品データベース２８２に物品に関する情報として格納される。
　レンタル申込受付モジュール２０３４は、外部サーバ３０が提供するＥＣサイトに提示されたリンクへのアクセスに応答して、端末装置１０にレンタル対象の物品のレンタル申し込みを行うための指示（第１の指示）を受け付ける画面を表示させる処理を制御する。このときに表示させる画面は、前述のリンク先の画面である。レンタル申し込みを行うための指示を受け付ける手段は、例えば、サーバ２０が提供するＷｅｂページ上に表示されたレンタル申込のリンクやボタンである。すなわち、レンタル申込受付モジュール２０３４は、レンタル申込のリンクやボタンが押下された場合にその指示を受け付ける。このとき、レンタル申込受付モジュール２０３４は、レンタル申し込みを行うための指示に加えて、ユーザの情報及びレンタルする物品の返却予定日等の情報を受け付けてもよい。また、レンタルの申込情報は、ユーザデータベース２８１にレンタルの履歴に関する情報として格納される。
　物品購入モジュール２０３５は、レンタル対象の物品のレンタル申し込みを行うための指示を受け付けることに応答して、レンタル事業者が管理する物品の在庫に当該物品がない場合、外部サーバ３０が提供するＥＣサイトからその物品を購入する処理を制御する。物品購入モジュール２０３５は、レンタル物品在庫データベース２８３を参照し、受け付けたレンタル申し込みの指示にかかる物品が在庫として存在しない場合、外部サーバ３０が提供するＥＣサイトから購入する処理を行う。なお、物品が在庫として存在しない場合とは、外部サーバ３０が提供するＥＣサイトからまだ購入していない場合と、すでに購入しているが他のユーザがレンタルして使用中である場合とが含まれてもよい。
　購入品管理モジュール２０３６は、外部サーバ３０が提供するＥＣサイトから購入された物品を、レンタルサービスのレンタル対象として管理する処理を制御する。ＥＣサイトから購入された物品は、レンタル事業者が自己の施設等で在庫管理する場合と、他者（他社）に管理を委託してその状態を管理する場合とが含まれてもよい。購入された物品の管理情報は、レンタル物品在庫データベース２８３へ格納することで管理される。
　＜２　データ構造＞
　図４は、サーバ２０が記憶するユーザデータベース２８１、レンタル物品データベース２８２、レンタル物品在庫データベース２８３のデータ構造を示す図である。
　図４に示すように、ユーザデータベース２８１のレコードのそれぞれは、項目「ユーザＩＤ」と、項目「ユーザ名」と、項目「ユーザ住所」と、項目「レンタルサービス利用履歴」等を含む。
　項目「ユーザＩＤ」は、レンタルサービスシステム１に会員登録しているユーザそれぞれを識別する情報である。
　項目「ユーザ名」は、ユーザが設定した名称であり、通常はユーザの氏名である。
　項目「ユーザ住所」は、ユーザが設定した住所であり、通常はユーザが居住する住所であるが、物品のレンタルを指示するユーザに対して物品の送付を希望する住所であればよく、勤務先住所等でもよい。
　項目「レンタルサービス利用履歴」は、各ユーザが物品のレンタルサービスを利用した履歴に関する情報であり、具体的には、項目「物品ＩＤ」と、項目「貸出日」と、項目「返却（予定）日」と、項目「状況」等を含む。なお、履歴に関する情報は、レンタルサービスを利用中（貸出中）の情報と利用済（返却済）の情報とを含む。
　項目「物品ＩＤ」は、レンタルサービスシステム１における、レンタルの対象となる物品を識別する情報である。
　項目「貸出日」は、物品のレンタルサービスにおいてユーザに対して貸出を行った日を示す情報である。貸出を行った日とは、当該ユーザからレンタルサービスの申し込みがされた日でもよく、当該ユーザへの物品の発送が行われた日でもよく、当該ユーザが物品を受け取った日でもよい。
　項目「返却（予定）日」は、物品のレンタルサービスを利用中の場合における返却予定日、またはすでに物品が返却されて利用済の場合における返却日を示す情報である。返却予定日は、ユーザから受け付けた日付でもよく、レンタル申込受付モジュール２０３４により指定された日付でもよい。
　項目「状況」は、物品のレンタルサービスの利用状況を示す情報である。具体的には、レンタルサービスを利用中の場合は「貸出中」であり、利用済の場合は「返却済」である。
　サーバ２０は、各ユーザから会員登録を受け付け、物品のレンタルサービスを受け付けることに伴って、ユーザデータベース２８１を更新する。
　レンタル物品データベース２８２のレコードのそれぞれは、項目「物品ＩＤ」と、項目「物品名」と、項目「型番」と、項目「商品リンク先」と、項目「レンタルリンク先」と、項目「料金」等を含む。
　項目「物品ＩＤ」は、レンタルサービスシステム１における、レンタルの対象となる物品を識別する情報であり、ユーザデータベース２８１の項目「物品ＩＤ」に対応している。
　項目「物品名」は、レンタルサービスシステム１における、レンタルの対象となる物品の名称を示す情報である。物品の名称は、当該物品の一般名称でもよく、機種名やブランド名等を含んでもよい。
　項目「型番」は、レンタルサービスシステム１における、レンタルの対象となる物品の型番を示す情報である。項目「物品名」の名称だけでは物品を識別できず、型番で識別する必要がある場合に使用される。
　項目「商品リンク先」は、外部サーバ３０が提供するＥＣサイトにおける、当該物品が掲載されたＷｅｂページのリンク（ＵＲＬ）である。具体的には、レンタルサービスに申し込むための画面へのリンクが設定されたＷｅｂページへのリンクである。このリンクは、当該物品が他の物品とともに一覧として表示されているＷｅｂページでもよく、当該物品のみが表示されているＷｅｂページでもよい。
　項目「レンタルリンク先」は、サーバ２０が提供するＷｅｂページにおける、当該物品のレンタルを申し込むための申込ページであるＷｅｂページのリンク（ＵＲＬ）である。このリンクは、当該物品が他の物品とともに一覧として表示されているＷｅｂページでもよく、当該物品のみが表示されているＷｅｂページでもよい。
　項目「料金」は、当該物品をレンタルする場合の料金を示す情報である。
　サーバ２０は、レンタル事業者からレンタル対象物品の情報登録を受け付け、外部サーバ３０からリンク情報を受け付けることに伴って、レンタル物品データベース２８２を更新する。
　レンタル物品在庫データベース２８３のレコードのそれぞれは、項目「物品ＩＤ」と、項目「購入有無」と、項目「在庫状況」等を含む。
　項目「物品ＩＤ」は、レンタルサービスシステム１における、レンタルの対象となる物品を識別する情報であり、ユーザデータベース２８１及びレンタル物品データベース２８２の項目「物品ＩＤ」に対応している。
　項目「購入有無」は、レンタル対象の物品を、外部サーバ３０が提供するＥＣサイトからすでに購入しているか否かを示す情報である。例えば、図４に示すように、当該物品をすでに購入済であることを示す「〇」、または、当該物品を未購入であることを示す「×」が格納されている。
　項目「在庫状況」は、当該物品の在庫状況を示す情報である。例えば、図４に示すように、レンタル事業者が管理する倉庫等ごとに、当該物品の在庫があることを示す「〇」、または、当該物品の在庫がないことを示す「×」が格納されている。
　サーバ２０は、レンタル事業者からレンタル対象物品の情報登録を受け付け、物品の在庫状況の情報を受け付けることに伴って、レンタル物品在庫データベース２８３を更新する。
　＜３　動作＞
　以下、図５、図６を参照しながら、第１の実施の形態におけるレンタルサービスシステム１によるレンタル対象物品の登録受付処理、及びレンタル対象物品のレンタル受付処理について説明する。
　図５は、実施の形態１のレンタルサービスシステム１により、レンタル対象物品の登録受付処理を行う流れの一例を示すフローチャートである。
　ステップＳ１２１において、サーバ２０の入出力ＩＦ２３は、レンタル事業者から、レンタルサービスシステム１によるレンタル可能な物品の対象とするための登録を行うための操作を受け付ける。レンタル事業者は、サーバ２０の入出力ＩＦ２３から、レンタル可能とする物品の名称、型番等の情報を入力する。サーバ２０は、受け付けた物品の情報をレンタル物品データベース２８２に格納する。
　ステップＳ１２３において、サーバ２０は、受け付けたレンタル可能とする物品の名称、型番等の情報から、当該物品のレンタル申し込みを行うための指示を受け付ける画面を生成する。具体的には、サーバ２０が提供するＷｅｂページ上に当該物品の情報（当該物品の外観を撮影した写真等の情報も含む）を表示させ、レンタル申込の指示を行うためのレンタル申込ボタンを配置して申込画面を生成する。
　ステップＳ１２５において、サーバ２０のリンク生成モジュール２０３３は、生成された当該物品のレンタル申し込みを行うための指示を受け付ける画面について、リンクを生成する。具体的には、サーバ２０が提供するＷｅｂページのＵＲＬに、当該物品のレンタル申し込みを行うための指示を受け付ける画面のディレクトリ名を割り当てる。サーバ２０は、生成したリンクの情報を、通信部２０１を介して外部サーバ３０へ送信する。また、サーバ２０は、生成したリンクが設定された、外部サーバ３０が提供するＥＣサイトのリンクの情報を、外部サーバ３０から通信部２０１を介して受け付ける。
　ステップＳ１３５において、外部サーバ３０は、受け付けた当該物品のレンタル申し込みを行うための指示を受け付ける画面のリンクを、外部サーバ３０が提供するＥＣサイトに設定する。外部サーバ３０は、受け付けたリンクが設定された、外部サーバ３０が提供するＥＣサイトのリンクの情報をサーバ２０へ送信する。
　ステップＳ１２７において、サーバ２０は、受け付けた外部サーバ３０が提供するＥＣサイトのリンクの情報を、レンタル物品データベース２８２へ格納することでレンタル対象物品の登録を行う。
　以上のように、レンタルサービスシステム１のレンタル対象の物品のレンタル申し込み画面へのリンクが、外部サーバ３０が提供するＥＣサイトに設定される。これにより、当該物品の購入とレンタルとの両方の場合について、検討することが可能である。
　図６は、実施の形態１のレンタルサービスシステム１により、レンタル対象物品のレンタル受付処理を行う流れの一例を示すフローチャートである。
　ステップＳ２１１において、端末装置１０の入力操作受付部１８１は、ユーザから、レンタルサービスシステム１のレンタルサービスを利用するため、レンタル可能な物品の一覧を提示させるための操作を受け付ける。例えば、ユーザは、販売業者が運営する外部サーバ３０が提供するＥＣサイトを参照し、物品を参照し、当該物品を購入するかまたはレンタルするかを検討するために、物品の一覧を提示させるための操作を行う。端末装置１０の送受信部１８２は、外部サーバ３０から送信された物品の一覧の情報を受け付ける。通知制御部１８４は、受け付けた物品の一覧の情報をディスプレイ１３２に表示させる。
　ステップＳ２３１において、外部サーバ３０は、端末装置１０から送信された物品の一覧を提示させるためのリクエストを受け付ける。外部サーバ３０は、端末装置１０からのリクエストに応答して、物品の一覧を提示するため、物品の一覧の情報を端末装置１０へ送信する。外部サーバ３０が送信する物品の一覧には、例えば、それぞれの物品を購入するための画面に遷移する購入手続き移行ボタンと、レンタルするための画面に遷移するレンタル手続き移行ボタンとが設けられており、それぞれの場合の価格が表示されている。レンタル手続き移行ボタンには、ステップＳ１２５で生成されたリンクが設定されている。
　ステップＳ２１２において、ユーザは、操作受付部１３０を操作することによりレンタル手続き移行ボタンを押下すると、端末装置１０の入力操作受付部１８１は、ユーザから物品の一覧の情報から選択したレンタルを希望する物品について、レンタル手続き移行ボタン（ステップＳ１２５で生成されたリンク）が押下されたことを示す指示情報を受け付ける。送受信部１８２は、押下されたリンクの情報をサーバ２０へ送信する。端末装置１０の送受信部１８２は、サーバ２０から送信された物品の詳細な情報を受け付ける。通知制御部１８４は、受け付けた物品の一覧の情報をディスプレイ１３２に表示させる。
　ステップＳ２２２において、サーバ２０は、端末装置１０から送信されたリンクの情報を、通信部２０１を介して受け付ける。サーバ２０は、端末装置１０からのリクエストに応答して、レンタル物品データベース２８２を参照することにより、物品の詳細な情報を提示するため、物品の情報を端末装置１０へ、通信部２０１を介して応答する。サーバ２０が送信する物品の詳細な情報は、ステップＳ１２３で生成されたレンタル指示を受け付けるための画面であり、申し込みの指示をユーザから受け付けるためのリンクや、レンタル申込ボタンが含まれている。
　ステップＳ２１３において、ユーザは、操作受付部１３０を操作することによりレンタル申込ボタンを押下すると、端末装置１０の入力操作受付部１８１は、ユーザから、レンタルを希望する物品について、レンタル申込ボタン（ステップＳ１２３で生成されたレンタル申込の指示を行うためのボタン）が押下されたことを示す指示情報を受け付ける。送受信部１８２は、押下されたレンタル申込ボタンに基づき、レンタル申込の指示の情報をサーバ２０へ送信する。
　ステップＳ２２３において、サーバ２０のレンタル申込受付モジュール２０３４は、端末装置１０から送信されたレンタルを希望する物品について、レンタル申込の指示の情報を、通信部２０１を介して受け付ける。
　ステップＳ２２４において、サーバ２０の物品購入モジュール２０３５は、端末装置１０から送信されたレンタルを希望する物品について、レンタル物品在庫データベース２８３を参照し、レンタル事業者が管理する在庫に当該物品があるか否かを判定する。当該物品の在庫がある場合（ステップＳ２２４で「Ｙ」の場合）、ステップＳ２２６へ進み、当該物品の在庫がない場合（ステップＳ２２４で「Ｎ」の場合）、ステップＳ２２５へ進む。
　ステップＳ２２５において、サーバ２０の物品購入モジュール２０３５は、端末装置１０から送信されたレンタルを希望する物品について、外部サーバ３０が提供するＥＣサイトからその物品を購入する処理を行う。物品購入モジュール２０３５は、当該物品の購入情報を、通信部２０１を介して外部サーバ３０へ送信する。
　ステップＳ２３５において、外部サーバ３０は、サーバ２０から送信された物品の購入情報を受け付ける。
　ステップＳ２３６において、外部サーバ３０は、受け付けた購入情報に係る物品の購入処理を行う。具体的には、レンタル事業者に対する当該物品の購入に係る決済処理、及び当該物品の発送処理を行う。なお、外部サーバ３０を運営する販売業者から直接ユーザに対して当該物品を送付するように処理してもよく、この場合、後続処理であるステップＳ２２６の処理をスキップしてもよい。
　ステップＳ２２６において、サーバ２０の購入品管理モジュール２０３６は、端末装置１０から送信されたレンタルを希望する物品について、販売業者から当該物品を購入した場合、当該物品の受付処理を行う。また、当該物品について、ユーザへの発送処理を行い、当該物品を発送した旨の通知を端末装置１０へ送信する。
　ステップＳ２１６において、端末装置１０の送受信部１８２は、サーバ２０から送信された当該物品を発送した旨の通知を受け付ける。その後、端末装置１０のユーザに対してレンタルを希望する物品が配送される。
　ステップＳ２２７において、サーバ２０の購入品管理モジュール２０３６は、販売業者から当該物品を購入した場合、レンタルサービスのレンタル対象として管理する処理を行う。具体的には、購入した物品の管理情報を、レンタル物品在庫データベース２８３へ格納する。
　なお、ユーザに対して物品のレンタルが行われた後、一定期間以上レンタル期間が経過した場合、端末装置１０のユーザに対して当該物品の買取についてレコメンドしてもよい。例えば、レンタル料金が所定の月額である場合、一定期間経過すると当該物品を最初から購入していた場合よりもレンタル金額の総額が多くなることになる。そのような場合、当該物品についてユーザが買い取ることで、これ以上レンタル料金がかからなくなるからである。このようなサービスにすることで、例えばユーザにとって当該物品を一定期間レンタルし、気に入った場合には買い取りを行うことで、当該物品を試しに使用する、という目的でレンタルすることが可能になる。
　以上のように、ユーザがレンタルサービスシステム１のレンタルサービスを利用して物品のレンタルを希望し、当該物品の在庫がない場合、レンタル事業者が販売業者から当該物品を購入し、レンタルサービスのレンタル対象として管理される。これにより、当該物品のレンタル希望者がいない場合、当該物品を購入しないので、レンタル事業者は余計な在庫を管理する必要がなくなる。
　また、ユーザが当該物品のレンタルを希望した場合であっても、レンタル事業者が販売業者から当該物品を購入するので、販売業者にとってもメリットが得られる。
　＜４　画面例＞
　以下、図７、図８を参照しながら、レンタルサービスシステム１によるレンタル対象物品のレンタル受付処理の画面例について説明する。
　図７は、レンタル対象物品のレンタル受付処理における端末装置１０の画面例を示す図である。図７の画面例は、ユーザの端末装置１０におけるレンタル可能な物品一覧の情報が表示された状態の画面例であり、図４のレンタル物品データベース２８２に格納されている、項目「物品ＩＤ」が「＃１２３」の「カメラ本体」、及び「＃３４５」の「交換レンズ」が表示された場合の例を示す。図６のステップＳ２１１に相当する。
　図７に示すように、端末装置１０のディスプレイ１３２には、物品の外観を示す物品写真１０３２ａ，１０３２ｅと、物品ＩＤ、物品名、型番、価格等の情報を表示する物品情報表示部１０３２ｂ，１０３２ｆと、当該物品を購入するための画面に遷移する購入手続き移行ボタン１０３２ｃ，１０３２ｇと、当該物品をレンタルするための画面に遷移するレンタル手続き移行ボタン１０３２ｄ，１０３２ｈとが表示されている。
　図７に示す例では、物品情報表示部１０３２ｂ，１０３２ｆに、当該物品を購入する場合の価格と、当該物品をレンタルする場合の価格とが並列に表示されている。また、ユーザは、当該物品を購入する場合には購入手続き移行ボタン１０３２ｃ，１０３２ｇを押下し、当該物品をレンタルする場合にはレンタル手続き移行ボタン１０３２ｄ，１０３２ｈを押下することで、それぞれの手続きに移行することが可能である。これにより、当該物品の購入とレンタルとの両方の価格について、検討することが可能であり、それぞれの手続きに容易に移行することが可能である。
　図８は、レンタル対象物品のレンタル受付処理における端末装置１０の画面例を示す図である。図８の画面例は、図７の画面例において、レンタル手続き移行ボタン１０３２ｈが押下された後、レンタルを希望する物品（交換レンズ）の詳細な情報が表示された状態の画面例であり、図４のレンタル物品データベース２８２に格納されている、項目「物品ＩＤ」が「＃３４５」の「交換レンズ」が表示された場合の例を示す。図６のステップＳ２１２に相当する。
　図８に示すように、端末装置１０のディスプレイ１３２には、物品の外観を示す物品写真１０３３ａと、物品の詳細な情報を表示する物品情報表示部１０３３ｂと、当該物品のレンタル指示を行うレンタル申込ボタン１０３３ｃとが表示されている。
　図７に示す画面例は、物品の販売業者が外部サーバ３０において提供する、販売及びレンタル対象の物品の一覧であり、図８に示す画面例は、レンタル事業者がサーバ２０において提供する、レンタル対象の物品の情報である。当該物品をレンタルする場合、レンタル申込ボタン１０３３ｃを押下することで、レンタルの申込処理～発送処理が行われる。これにより、当該物品の購入とレンタルとの両方の価格について検討した後、レンタル申込を容易に行うことが可能である。
　なお、図８に示す物品情報表示部１０３３ｂには、買い取り可能期間の情報が表示されている。これは、前述のように、ユーザに対して物品のレンタルが行われた後、端末装置１０のユーザに対して当該物品の買取について、レンタル開始日以降の買い取り可能期間をレコメンドしている状態を示している。この表示は、例えばレンタル事業者に在庫がない場合（図７のステップＳ２２４で「Ｎ」の場合）にのみ表示させてもよい。すなわち、ユーザが当該物品を購入するかレンタルするか検討する際に、販売業者に在庫がある新品を一定期間レンタルし、気に入った場合に買い取りを行うことを可能にしている。これにより、当該物品を試しに使用し、気に入った場合には買い取りを行うことで最初から購入した状態と同様になり、気に入らなかった場合にはレンタルした物品を返却する、という利用の仕方が可能になる。
　次に、図９、図１０を参照しながら、レンタルサービスシステム１によるレンタル対象物品のレンタル受付処理の他の画面例について説明する。この画面例では、販売業者の新品を一定期間レンタルし、気に入った場合に買い取ることが可能な場合（買取プラン）において、レンタル可能な期間を選択することで月額のレンタル金額及び一定期間経過後の買取価格を提示し、ユーザの希望する最適なレンタル可能期間を選択可能とする場合の画面例について説明する。
　図９は、レンタル対象物品のレンタル受付処理における端末装置１０の他の画面例を示す図である。図９の画面例は、図７の画面例において、レンタル手続き移行ボタン１０３２ｈが押下された後、レンタルを希望する物品（カメラ本体）の詳細な情報が表示された状態の画面例であり、図４のレンタル物品データベース２８２に格納されている、項目「物品ＩＤ」が「＃１２３」の「カメラ本体」が表示された場合の例を示す。図６のステップＳ２１２に相当する。
　図９に示すように、端末装置１０のディスプレイ１３２には、物品の外観を示す物品写真１０３４ａと、物品の詳細な情報を表示する物品情報表示部１０３４ｂと、当該物品を一定期間レンタルし、気に入った場合に買い取る買取プラン案内部１０３４ｃと、月額のレンタル金額及び一定期間経過後の買取価格を提示する金額提示部１０３４ｄと、レンタル可能な期間を選択する期間選択ボタン１０３４ｅ，１０３４ｆ，１０３４ｇ，１０３４ｈと、期間選択ボタン１０３４ｅ～１０３４ｈを選択後に買取プランを申し込むための買取プラン申込ボタン１０３４ｉと、当該物品を通常にレンタルするプラン（通常プラン）の通常プラン案内部１０３４ｊと、通常プランを申し込むための通常プラン申込ボタン１０３４ｋとが表示されている。ここで、通常プランとは、ユーザが所定額を定期的に支払うことで、複数の物品（機材）のうち、ユーザが希望する物品を借りることができ、物品の入れ替えも可能なプランをいう。例えば、サーバ２０が、物品の借り放題サービスを運営している。ここで、通常プランにおいて、料金プランとしては複数の段階が用意されており（例えば、ランク「１」～ランク「７」までの７段階といった複数の段階）、ランクに応じて、ユーザが定期的に支払う費用と、借りることができる物品の範囲とが異なる。例えば、ランクが上位のプランであれば、下位のプランで提供される物品の全てを借りることができることとしてもよい。ユーザは、契約している料金プランで借りることができる範囲内で、一定数の物品を借りることができ、物品の入れ替えもすることができる。
　図９に示す画面例では、買取プラン案内部１０３４ｃに示す買取プラン、または通常プラン案内部１０３４ｊに示す通常プランが選択できるようになっている。買取プランは、レンタルした物品を一定期間経過後に買い取る前提であるため、レンタルした物品を入れ替える（借り換える）ことができないようになっており、通常プランでは可能になっている。その旨が、買取プラン申込ボタン１０３４ｉ及び通常プラン申込ボタン１０３４ｋに示されている。ただし、買取プランは、レンタルした物品を一定期間経過後までに返却可能になっている。このように、１画面で買取プランまたは通常プランを選択できるように構成しているのは、買取プランの内容と通常プランの内容とを対比して選択できるようにするためである。
　図９に示す画面例では、物品写真１０３４ａに表示されているカメラ本体を一定期間レンタルして使用し、気に入った場合に買い取ることが可能となっている。実際に物品を使用してみないと、当該物品の機能や性能、使い心地が分からないからであり、そのレンタル期間を試しに使用する試用期間とするためである。まず、この画面において、レンタルする期間（試用期間）を期間選択ボタン１０３４ｅ～１０３４ｈから選択する。期間選択ボタン１０３４ｅ～１０３４ｈは、いずれか１つを選択可能になっており、いずれか１つをクリックまたはタップすることにより選択すると、選択したボタンの色彩が変化して選択された状態であることが認識できるようになっている。図９に示す画面例では、期間選択ボタン１０３４ｅがレンタル期間として３ケ月を選択するボタンであり、期間選択ボタン１０３４ｆがレンタル期間として６ケ月を選択するボタンであり、期間選択ボタン１０３４ｇがレンタル期間として１２ケ月を選択するボタンであり、期間選択ボタン１０３４ｈがレンタル期間として２４ケ月を選択するボタンである。このようにレンタル期間を選択可能にしているのは、ユーザによって試してみたい期間が異なるからであり、複数の期間を提示することでユーザの利便性を向上させるためである。
　なお、買取プラン申込ボタン１０３４ｉは、期間選択ボタン１０３４ｅ～１０３４ｈのいずれか１つが選択されないと押下できないようになっており（例えば、押下できない状態であることを示す薄いグレーの色彩で表示）、期間選択ボタン１０３４ｅ～１０３４ｈのいずれか１つが選択されると色彩が変化して、押下可能になるように構成されている。
　図１０は、レンタル対象物品のレンタル受付処理における端末装置１０の他の画面例を示す図である。図１０の画面例は、図９の画面例において、ユーザがレンタル期間として６ケ月である期間選択ボタン１０３４ｆを選択した場合の例を示す。図６のステップＳ２１２に相当する。
　図１０に示すように、端末装置１０のディスプレイ１３２には、図９に示す画面構成と同様の物品写真１０３５ａと、物品情報表示部１０３５ｂと、買取プラン案内部１０３５ｃと、金額提示部１０３５ｄと、期間選択ボタン１０３５ｅ～１０３５ｈと、買取プラン申込ボタン１０３５ｉと、通常プラン案内部１０３５ｊと、通常プラン申込ボタン１０３５ｋとが表示されている。
　図９に示す画面例において、ユーザが期間選択ボタン１０３５ｆを選択すると、図１０に示すように、期間選択ボタン１０３５ｆの色彩が変化し、買取プラン申込ボタン１０３５ｉの色彩も変化して押下可能になっている。また、このとき、金額提示部１０３５ｄにはレンタル期間として６ケ月を選択した場合の月額のレンタル金額及び６ケ月経過後の買取価格が表示される。この状態で、他の期間である期間選択ボタン１０３５ｅ，１０３５ｇ，１０３５ｈも選択可能であり、選択すると金額提示部１０３５ｄの表示内容が選択した期間に応じて変化するようになっている。例えば、図１０に示す金額提示部１０３５ｄが、レンタル期間が６ケ月の場合を示す「月額９，８００円　６ケ月後に４９，０００で買取ＯＫ」の状態のとき、ユーザがレンタル期間として１２ケ月である期間選択ボタン１０３５ｇを選択しなおすと、レンタル期間が１２ケ月の場合を示す「月額７，８００円　１２ケ月後に２９，０００で買取ＯＫ」のように表示内容が変更される。これにより、それぞれの期間の月額のレンタル金額及びレンタル期間経過後の買取価格を把握した上で選択できるようになっている。
　なお、図１０に示す期間選択ボタン１０３５ｅ～１０３５ｈのいずれか１つを選択した状態の色彩と、買取プラン申込ボタン１０３５ｉの色彩とは同じ色彩であり、通常プラン申込ボタン１０３４ｋの色彩とは異なるように構成されている。誤操作を防止し、買取プランと通常プランとが異なるプランであることを認識できるようにするためである。
　＜小括＞
　以上のように、本実施形態によると、販売業者のＥＣサイトの商品（物品）ページに、当該物品をレンタルする場合のリンクを表示し、そのリンクから遷移することにより、当該物品のレンタル申し込みの指示が行われる。これにより、当該物品の購入とレンタルとの両方の価格について、検討することが可能である。また、物品のレンタル申し込みを受け付けると、当該物品を購入し、レンタルサービスのレンタル対象として管理する。これにより、販売業者にもメリットがあり、レンタル申し込みがあるまで在庫管理の必要がないのでレンタル事業者にもメリットがあるシステムの構築が可能になる。
　＜第２の実施の形態＞
　以下、カメラ、および交換レンズ等の物品をレンタルするサービスを提供するための、レンタルサービスシステム１について説明する。
　＜１　レンタルサービスシステム１の全体構成＞
　図１１は、実施の形態２のレンタルサービスシステム１を構成するサーバ２０の機能的な構成を示す図である。第２の実施の形態におけるレンタルサービスシステム１の全体の構成、及び端末装置１０の構成は、第１の実施の形態と同様であるので、繰り返して説明しない。サーバ２０の構成については、図１１に示すように、新たにユーザ情報受付モジュール２０３７、及びスケジュール通知モジュール２０３８の機能を備える以外、第１の実施の形態と同様である。以下、第２の実施の形態におけるユーザ情報受付モジュール２０３７、及びスケジュール通知モジュール２０３８の機能について説明する。
　ユーザ情報受付モジュール２０３７は、ユーザがレンタル申込を行った物品の在庫がない場合において、外部サーバ３０が提供するＥＣサイトから物品を購入する際に、外部サーバ３０から当該ユーザの情報を受け付ける処理を制御する。外部サーバ３０から受け付けるユーザの情報は、ユーザの名称、ユーザの属性情報等であるが、当該ユーザが、外部サーバ３０が提供するＥＣサイトから購入した物品の履歴情報や、ＥＣサイトで閲覧した物品の履歴情報が含まれてもよい。ユーザ情報受付モジュール２０３７は、受け付けたユーザの情報を、レンタルサービスのユーザの情報としてユーザデータベース２８１に格納する。ユーザ情報に含まれる購入の履歴情報や閲覧の履歴情報は、当該ユーザにレンタル物品をレコメンドする際に使用してもよい。
　また、ユーザ情報受付モジュール２０３７は、外部サーバ３０を運営する販売業者から直接ユーザに対して当該物品を送付する場合において、ユーザの情報として販売業者が物品を発送したときの発送情報を受け付けてもよい。発送情報は、例えば、物品を配送する配送業者の伝票番号や、到着予定日時の情報である。
　スケジュール通知モジュール２０３８は、外部サーバ３０を運営する販売業者から直接ユーザに対して当該物品を送付する場合において、ユーザの情報として販売業者が物品を発送したときの発送情報を受け付ける場合、発送情報を端末装置１０へ通知する処理を制御する。
　＜２　データ構造＞
　第２の実施の形態におけるデータ構造は、第１の実施の形態と同様であるので、繰り返して説明しない。
　＜３　動作＞
　以下、図６を参照しながら、第２の実施の形態におけるレンタルサービスシステム１によるレンタル対象物品のレンタル受付処理について、第１の実施の形態と異なる処理について説明する。
　図６に示すステップＳ２３６において、外部サーバ３０は、受け付けた購入情報に係る物品の購入処理を行い、当該物品の発送処理を行った際に、当該ユーザの名称、ユーザの属性情報、当該ユーザのＥＣサイトにおける購入履歴情報や閲覧履歴情報、販売業者が物品を発送したときの発送情報を含むユーザの情報を受け付ける。
　ステップＳ２２６において、サーバ２０のユーザ情報受付モジュール２０３７は、外部サーバ３０から送信されたユーザの情報を受け付ける。また、ユーザ情報受付モジュール２０３７は、受け付けたユーザの情報を、レンタルサービスのユーザの情報としてユーザデータベース２８１に格納する。
　また、ステップＳ２２６において、サーバ２０のスケジュール通知モジュール２０３８は、ユーザの情報として販売業者が物品を発送したときの発送情報を端末装置１０へ通知する。
　ステップＳ２１６において、端末装置１０の送受信部１８２は、サーバ２０から送信された発送情報の通知を受け付ける。その後、端末装置１０は、ユーザに対して発送情報をディスプレイ１３２に表示させる。
　以上のように、外部サーバ３０から当該ユーザの情報を受け付け、ユーザの情報をレンタルサービスのユーザの情報として登録する。また、ユーザの情報として販売業者が物品を発送したときの発送情報を受け付け、端末装置１０へ通知する。これにより、ユーザの情報を入力させる手間を軽減し、レンタルする物品の発送状況を通知することが可能である。
　＜小括＞
　以上のように、本実施形態によると、外部のウェブサイトから当該ユーザの情報を受け付け、レンタルサービスのユーザの情報として登録する。これにより、ユーザの情報を入力させる手間を軽減することが可能である。また、ＥＣサイトから購入した物品の履歴情報や、ＥＣサイトで閲覧した物品の履歴情報もユーザの情報として登録される。これにより、ユーザの履歴情報に基づいて、ユーザへのサービスに資するようなレコメンド情報を提供することが可能である。さらに、ユーザの情報として販売業者が物品を発送したときの発送情報を受け付け、端末装置１０へ通知する。これにより、ユーザがレンタル申込を行った物品の状況を把握することが可能であるため、ユーザへのサービス向上を図ることが可能である。
　＜第３の実施の形態＞
　以下、カメラ、および交換レンズ等の物品をレンタルするサービスを提供するための、レンタルサービスシステム１について説明する。
　＜１　レンタルサービスシステム１の全体構成＞
　図１２は、実施の形態３のレンタルサービスシステム１を構成するサーバ２０の機能的な構成を示す図である。第３の実施の形態におけるレンタルサービスシステム１の全体の構成、及び端末装置１０の構成は、第１の実施の形態と同様であるので、繰り返して説明しない。サーバ２０の構成については、図１２に示すように、新たにユーザ情報送信モジュール２０３９の機能を備える以外、第１の実施の形態と同様である。以下、第３の実施の形態におけるユーザ情報送信モジュール２０３９の機能について説明する。
　ユーザ情報送信モジュール２０３９は、ユーザデータベース２８１に格納されている、ユーザの情報を外部サーバ３０との間で共有するために、当該ユーザの情報を外部サーバ３０へ送信する処理を制御する。ユーザの情報を送信するタイミングは、ユーザがレンタル手続き移行ボタンを押下したとき（第１の情報にアクセスしたとき）でもよく、また、ユーザがレンタル申込ボタンを押下したとき（第１の指示を行ったとき）でもよい。また、ユーザの情報を外部サーバ３０へ送信するとき、ユーザの情報として、ユーザのレンタルサービス利用に基づいて付与されている特典、例えば所定の商品等と交換可能なポイント等の情報を送信してもよい。
　また、外部サーバ３０へ送信するユーザの情報は、例えば、物品のレンタルを行ったユーザが、その後当該物品をどれくらいの期間レンタルしたか、前述の買取サービスを利用したか否か、といった情報であってもよい。このような情報を取得した外部サーバ３０を運営する販売業者は、レンタル期間が短く買取サービスが利用されなかった場合には当該物品（商品）の品質が悪いのでは、と考えられるので、商品の品質について再検討することができる。また、買取サービスが利用されている場合には、一定の品質が確保されていると考えることができる。このように、レンタル後の情報を共有することで、販売業者にとって仕入れる商品を選択するための判断材料として資することになる。
　さらに、物品のレンタルを行ったユーザが、その後当該物品を返却した際、返却理由のアンケートを取得し、その情報を共有してもよい。このようなアンケート情報を取得することで、例えば当該物品は一時的にしか使用しないため、購入ではなくレンタルした、といったように、販売業者から購入しなかった理由の情報を得ることができる。このような情報を共有することで、販売業者にとって仕入れる商品の時期や数量を選択するための判断材料として資することができる。
　＜２　データ構造＞
　第２の実施の形態におけるデータ構造は、第１の実施の形態と同様であるので、繰り返して説明しない。
　＜３　動作＞
　以下、図６を参照しながら、第２の実施の形態におけるレンタルサービスシステム１によるレンタル対象物品のレンタル受付処理について、第１の実施の形態と異なる処理について説明する。
　図６に示すステップＳ２２２において、ユーザからレンタル手続き移行ボタンが押下されたとき、サーバ２０のユーザ情報送信モジュール２０３９は、当該ユーザの情報を外部サーバ３０へ送信する。外部サーバ３０は、当該ユーザの情報を受け付けて、例えば販売促進情報として使用してもよい。なお、この処理は、図６に示すステップＳ２２３において、ユーザからレンタル申込ボタンが押下されたときに行われてもよい。
　以上のように、サーバ２０から当該ユーザの情報が外部サーバ３０に送信されて共有される。これにより、ユーザの利便性を向上させることが可能である。
　＜小括＞
　以上のように、本実施形態によると、当該ユーザの情報を外部のウェブサイトへ送信して共有する。これにより、ユーザに対する販売促進情報や特典情報が共有化されるため、ユーザの利便性を向上させることが可能である。
　以上、開示に係る実施形態について説明したが、これらはその他の様々な形態で実施することが可能であり、種々の省略、置換および変更を行なって実施することが出来る。これらの実施形態および変形例ならびに省略、置換および変更を行なったものは、特許請求の範囲の技術的範囲とその均等の範囲に含まれる。

　（付記１）制御部と、記憶部とを備える情報処理装置であって、情報処理装置は、物品のレンタルサービスをユーザに提供するためのものであり、記憶部は、物品それぞれを特定するための情報を記憶するように構成されており、制御部は、外部のウェブサイトにおいて、レンタル対象の物品のレンタル申し込みの指示をユーザから受け付けるための第１の情報を生成するステップと、外部のウェブサイトに対するユーザの端末からのアクセスに応答して、当該ユーザの端末に、第１の情報に基づいて、レンタル対象の物品のレンタル申し込みをする第１の指示を受け付ける画面を表示させるステップと、第１の指示をユーザから受け付けることに応答して、当該第１の指示にかかる物品を購入するための処理を行うステップと、当該購入された物品を、レンタルサービスのレンタル対象として管理するための処理を行うステップと、を行う、情報処理装置。
　（付記２）制御部は、ユーザによる第１の情報のアクセスに応答して、当該ユーザの端末に、第１の指示を受け付ける画面を表示させる、（付記１）に記載の情報処理装置。

　（付記５）第１の指示を受け付ける画面において、レンタルサービスのレンタル対象の物品をレンタルした後、物品を買い取るための情報を表示させる、（付記４）に記載の情報処理装置。
　（付記６）制御部は、第１の指示をユーザから受け付けると、外部のウェブサイトから送信されるユーザの情報を受け付け、レンタルサービスのユーザの情報として登録するステップを行う、（付記１）から（付記５）のいずれかに記載の情報処理装置。

Claims (14)

  1. 　制御部と、記憶部とを備える情報処理装置であって、
    　前記情報処理装置は、物品のレンタルサービスをユーザに提供するためのものであり、
    　前記記憶部は、物品それぞれを特定するための情報を記憶するように構成されており、
    　前記制御部は、外部のウェブサイトにおいて、レンタル対象の物品のレンタル申し込みの指示をユーザから受け付けるための第１の情報を生成するステップと、
    　前記外部のウェブサイトに対するユーザの端末からのアクセスに応答して、当該ユーザの端末に、前記第１の情報に基づいて、レンタル対象の物品のレンタル申し込みをする第１の指示を受け付ける画面を表示させるステップと、
    　前記第１の指示を前記ユーザから受け付けることに応答して、当該第１の指示にかかる物品を購入するための処理を行うステップと、
    　当該購入された物品を、前記レンタルサービスのレンタル対象として管理するための処理を行うステップと、を行う、情報処理装置。
  2. 　前記制御部は、
    　前記ユーザによる前記第１の情報のアクセスに応答して、当該ユーザの端末に、前記第１の指示を受け付ける画面を表示させる、請求項１に記載の情報処理装置。
  3. 　前記制御部は、
    　前記第１の情報が表示された前記外部のウェブサイトの画面において、前記ユーザが前記第１の情報を選択すると、当該ユーザの端末に、前記外部のウェブサイトの画面として前記第１の指示を受け付ける画面を表示させる、請求項２に記載の情報処理装置。
  4. 　前記制御部は、
    　前記第１の情報として、前記外部のウェブサイトとは異なるウェブサイトを示すリンク情報を生成し、
    　前記リンク情報が表示された前記外部のウェブサイトの画面において、前記ユーザが前記リンク情報を選択すると、当該ユーザの端末に、前記外部のウェブサイトとは異なるウェブサイトの画面として前記第１の指示を受け付ける画面を表示させる、請求項２に記載の情報処理装置。
  5. 　前記第１の指示を受け付ける画面において、前記レンタルサービスのレンタル対象の物品をレンタルした後、前記物品を買い取るための情報を表示させる、請求項４に記載の情報処理装置。
  6. 　前記制御部は、
    　前記第１の指示を前記ユーザから受け付けると、前記外部のウェブサイトから送信される前記ユーザの情報を受け付け、前記レンタルサービスのユーザの情報として登録するステップを行う、請求項１から請求項５のいずれか１項に記載の情報処理装置。
  7. 　前記ユーザの情報として、前記外部のウェブサイトにおける前記ユーザの購入情報または閲覧情報を含む情報を受け付ける、請求項６に記載の情報処理装置。
  8. 　前記ユーザの情報として、前記外部のウェブサイトから前記レンタルサービスにおけるレンタル対象の物品を前記ユーザへ送付した送付情報を受け付ける、請求項６または請求項７に記載の情報処理装置。
  9. 　前記制御部は、
    　前記送付情報に含まれる、前記物品が前記ユーザへ届くスケジュール情報を前記ユーザへ提示するステップを行う、請求項８に記載の情報処理装置。
  10. 　前記制御部は、
    　前記外部のウェブサイトに対して、前記レンタルサービスのユーザの情報を前記外部のウェブサイトとの間で共有させるために送信するステップを行う、請求項１から請求項９のいずれか１項に記載の情報処理装置。
  11. 　前記ユーザが前記第１の情報にアクセスしたとき、または前記ユーザから前記第１の指示を受け付けたとき、前記外部のウェブサイトに対して、前記レンタルサービスのユーザの情報を前記外部のウェブサイトとの間で共有させるために送信するステップを行う、請求項１０に記載の情報処理装置。
  12. 　前記外部のウェブサイトに対して、前記レンタルサービスの利用に対する前記ユーザへの特典情報を前記外部のウェブサイトに送信する、請求項１０または請求項１１に記載の情報処理装置。
  13. 　プロセッサを備えるコンピュータにより実行され、物品のレンタルサービスをユーザに提供するための方法であって、
    　前記方法は、前記プロセッサが、
    　外部のウェブサイトにおいて、レンタル対象の物品のレンタル申し込みの指示をユーザから受け付けるための第１の情報を生成するステップと、
    　前記外部のウェブサイトに対するユーザの端末からのアクセスに応答して、当該ユーザの端末に、前記第１の情報に基づいて、レンタル対象の物品のレンタル申し込みをする第１の指示を受け付ける画面を表示させるステップと、
    　前記第１の指示を前記ユーザから受け付けることに応答して、当該第１の指示にかかる物品を購入するための処理を行うステップと、
    　当該購入された物品を、前記レンタルサービスのレンタル対象として管理するための処理を行うステップと、を実行する、方法。
  14. 　プロセッサを備えるコンピュータに実行させ、物品のレンタルサービスをユーザに提供するためのプログラムであって、
    　前記プログラムは、前記プロセッサに、
    　外部のウェブサイトにおいて、レンタル対象の物品のレンタル申し込みの指示をユーザから受け付けるための第１の情報を生成するステップと、
    　前記外部のウェブサイトに対するユーザの端末からのアクセスに応答して、当該ユーザの端末に、前記第１の情報に基づいて、レンタル対象の物品のレンタル申し込みをする第１の指示を受け付ける画面を表示させるステップと、
    　前記第１の指示を前記ユーザから受け付けることに応答して、当該第１の指示にかかる物品を購入するための処理を行うステップと、
    　当該購入された物品を、前記レンタルサービスのレンタル対象として管理するための処理を行うステップと、を実行させる、プログラム。
