Abstract
顔料を内包する着色樹脂粒子を用いても、発色性、描線濃度に優れる筆記具用水性インク組成物を提供する。 この形態の筆記具用水性インク組成物としては、例えば、少なくとも、顔料(p)を内包する着色樹脂粒子(A)と、表面に顔料(p)が露出した着色樹脂粒子(B)を含有する筆記具用水性インク組成物が挙げられる。
Description
本明細書は、顔料を内包する着色樹脂粒子を用いても、経時安定性を損なうことなく、発色性、描線濃度に優れる筆記具用水性インク組成物に関する。
従来より、(A)親水性ポリマー、(B)疎水性ポリマーおよび(C)顔料を含有する所定の平均粒径となる顔料内包ポリマー粒子の水系分散体を含有することを特徴とする水系インク(例えば、特許文献1参照)や、染料または顔料をマイクロカプセル壁膜に内包したマイクロカプセル顔料を用いた筆記具用インク組成物(例えば、特許文献2参照)などが知られている。
上記特許文献1及び2に記載される顔料を内包したマイクロカプセル顔料などは、粒子径や粒子分布の調整が容易な一般染料や一般顔料をマイクロカプセル壁膜に内包するものであるが、顔料そのものと比較して発色性が弱く、描線濃度を高められないという課題があった。
本開示は、上記従来技術の課題等に鑑み、これを解消しようとするものであり、顔料を内包する着色樹脂粒子を用いても、経時安定性を損なうことなく、発色性、描線濃度に優れる筆記具用水性インク組成物を提供することを目的とする。
本発明者は、上記従来の課題等に鑑み、鋭意研究を行った結果、少なくとも、顔料を内包する着色樹脂粒子と、同じ顔料を用いた表面性状の異なる着色樹脂粒子を含有することにより、上記目的の筆記具用水性インク組成物が得られることを見出し、本開示を完成するに至ったのである。
すなわち、本開示の筆記具用水性インク組成物は、少なくとも、顔料(p)を内包する着色樹脂粒子(A)と、表面に顔料(p)が露出した着色樹脂粒子(B)を含有することを特徴とする。
前記着色樹脂粒子(A)及び(B)の各樹脂成分はウレタン系であることが好ましい。
前記着色樹脂粒子(A)及び(B)の含有比〔(B)/(A)〕は、質量基準で0.05~2.0であることが好ましい。
前記着色樹脂粒子(A)及び(B)の各平均粒子径の比〔(B)/(A)〕が、0.5~2.0であることが好ましい。
前記顔料(p)は、カーボンブラックであることが好ましい。
なお、本開示において、「表面に顔料(p)が露出した着色樹脂粒子」とは、樹脂粒子の正面から観察したときに、複数の顔料(p)が樹脂粒子の表面から確認可能であることをいい、顔料(p)の表面存在率が3~50%のものをいう。
図1(a)及び(b)は、顔料(p)を内包する着色樹脂粒子(A)の一例を模式的に示す正面図と中央縦断面図であり、図1(c)及び(d)は、表面に顔料(p)が露出した着色樹脂粒子(B)の一例を模式的に示す正面図と中央縦断面図である。図1(a)~(d)において、各着色樹脂粒子の形状、顔料(p)の形状を好ましい形態となる球形(球状)で示しているが、各着色樹脂粒子の形状、顔料(p)の形状は、特に限定されず、それぞれ任意の形状をとることができる。
前記着色樹脂粒子(A)及び(B)の各樹脂成分はウレタン系であることが好ましい。
前記着色樹脂粒子(A)及び(B)の含有比〔(B)/(A)〕は、質量基準で0.05~2.0であることが好ましい。

<顔料(p)>
本開示において、着色樹脂粒子(A)及び(B)に内包等する顔料(p)としては、その種類については特に制限はなく、筆記具用水性インク組成物等に慣用されている無機系及び有機系顔料の中から任意のものを使用することができる。
無機系顔料としては、例えば、カーボンブラックや、酸化チタン、酸化亜鉛、酸化鉄、酸化クロム、群青などが挙げられる。
また、有機系顔料としては、例えば、アゾレーキ、不溶性アゾ顔料、キレートアゾ顔料、フタロシアニン顔料、ペリレン及びペリノン顔料、アントラキノン顔料、キナクリドン顔料、染料レーキ、ニトロ顔料、ニトロソ顔料などが挙げられ、これらは、1種単独で使用してもよいし、2種以上を併用してもよい。
着色樹脂粒子(A)及び(B)に内包等する好ましい顔料(p)としては、本開示の効果を優位とする点などから、カーボンブラックが望ましい。
本開示において、着色樹脂粒子(A)及び(B)に内包等する顔料(p)としては、その種類については特に制限はなく、筆記具用水性インク組成物等に慣用されている無機系及び有機系顔料の中から任意のものを使用することができる。
無機系顔料としては、例えば、カーボンブラックや、酸化チタン、酸化亜鉛、酸化鉄、酸化クロム、群青などが挙げられる。
また、有機系顔料としては、例えば、アゾレーキ、不溶性アゾ顔料、キレートアゾ顔料、フタロシアニン顔料、ペリレン及びペリノン顔料、アントラキノン顔料、キナクリドン顔料、染料レーキ、ニトロ顔料、ニトロソ顔料などが挙げられ、これらは、1種単独で使用してもよいし、2種以上を併用してもよい。
着色樹脂粒子(A)及び(B)に内包等する好ましい顔料(p)としては、本開示の効果を優位とする点などから、カーボンブラックが望ましい。
これらの顔料(p)の着色樹脂粒子(A)中に内包する含有量は、5~40質量%であることが好ましく、更に好ましくは、10~35質量%、特に好ましくは15~25質量%が望ましい。
この顔料(p)の含有量が、5質量%未満であると、着色力が不足して、筆記描線の視認性が低下することがあり、一方、40質量%を超えると、顔料量が過多となり、色再現性や経時安定性が悪化することがある。

<着色樹脂粒子(A)>
本開示の着色樹脂粒子(A)は、少なくとも、上述の顔料(p)を内包したマイクロカプセル顔料から構成することができ、例えば、少なくとも上記顔料(p)を含むものを、所定の粒子径となるように、マイクロカプセル化、具体的には、壁膜形成物質(壁材)から構成されるシェル層(殻体)に内包することにより製造することができる。
本開示の着色樹脂粒子(A)は、少なくとも、上述の顔料(p)を内包したマイクロカプセル顔料から構成することができ、例えば、少なくとも上記顔料(p)を含むものを、所定の粒子径となるように、マイクロカプセル化、具体的には、壁膜形成物質(壁材)から構成されるシェル層(殻体)に内包することにより製造することができる。
また、本開示の着色樹脂粒子(A)において、上述の顔料(p)と共に、シナジスト(顔料誘導体)を内包したマイクロカプセル顔料から構成してもよいものである。
用いるシナジスト(顔料誘導体)は、着色樹脂粒子の形成の際に顔料(p)が樹脂粒子中に入りやすくするために、また、着色樹脂粒子中では顔料(p)の脱落をしにくくするために好ましい態様で用いるものであり、顔料(p)と同様の構造をもつ誘導体であり、顔料(p)と強い相互作用を有する化合物である。また、着色樹脂粒子の作製の際に、好ましく用いる後述の分散剤とも強い相互作用を有するものである。
着色樹脂粒子中に顔料(p)の他、シナジストを少なくとも含むことで、シナジストは顔料(p)と同様の構造(共通の骨格)をもつため顔料表面に吸着すると共に、該シナジストは着色樹脂粒子の樹脂に吸着することになり、顔料(p)が樹脂粒子中に入りやすくなり、また、脱落しにくくなる作用を有するものとなる。
このようなシナジストの相互作用は、ファンデルワールス力とされているが、色素骨格のフラットで広い面全体で作用するため強固で実用的な吸着が達成できるものと推測される。なお、通常シナジストは液体媒体中での顔料の分散補助剤として用いられているが、本開示では形成する着色樹脂粒子内に顔料(p)と共に含有せしめることにより、本開示の効果を更に発揮せしめることができるものとなる。
用いるシナジスト(顔料誘導体)は、着色樹脂粒子の形成の際に顔料(p)が樹脂粒子中に入りやすくするために、また、着色樹脂粒子中では顔料(p)の脱落をしにくくするために好ましい態様で用いるものであり、顔料(p)と同様の構造をもつ誘導体であり、顔料(p)と強い相互作用を有する化合物である。また、着色樹脂粒子の作製の際に、好ましく用いる後述の分散剤とも強い相互作用を有するものである。
着色樹脂粒子中に顔料(p)の他、シナジストを少なくとも含むことで、シナジストは顔料(p)と同様の構造(共通の骨格)をもつため顔料表面に吸着すると共に、該シナジストは着色樹脂粒子の樹脂に吸着することになり、顔料(p)が樹脂粒子中に入りやすくなり、また、脱落しにくくなる作用を有するものとなる。
このようなシナジストの相互作用は、ファンデルワールス力とされているが、色素骨格のフラットで広い面全体で作用するため強固で実用的な吸着が達成できるものと推測される。なお、通常シナジストは液体媒体中での顔料の分散補助剤として用いられているが、本開示では形成する着色樹脂粒子内に顔料(p)と共に含有せしめることにより、本開示の効果を更に発揮せしめることができるものとなる。
用いることができるシナジストとしては、用いる顔料(p)により最適のシナジストを用いることができ、顔料(p)の色、具体的には、カーボンブラック、イエロー顔料用、アゾ顔料用、フタロシアニン顔料用のシナジストの市販品を用いることができ、該市販品としては、酸性官能基を有するものとして、ルーブリゾール社製のソルスパース5000(フタロシアニン顔料誘導体)、ソルスパース12000(フタロシアニン顔料誘導体)、ソルスパース22000(アゾ顔料誘導体)や、ビックケミー・ジャパン社製のBYK-SYNERGIST2100(フタロシアニン顔料誘導体)、BYK-SYNERGIST2105(イエロー顔料誘導体)や、BASFジャパン株式会社製のEFKA6745(フタロシアニン顔料誘導体)、EFKA6750(アゾ顔料誘導体)、分散材料研究所社製のSynergist Yellow-8020,8404,9043,4827(イエロー顔料誘導体);Synergist Red-3953,4327,4474,4858,4966,5507,5525,5909,6006,6547(アゾ顔料誘導体);Synergist Blue-6831,7215,7438,7854,0785,0785A(フタロシアニン顔料誘導体);Synergist Violet-6965,7349,7572,7988(フタロシアニン顔料誘導体)等が挙げられ、これらは、1種を単独で使用してもよいし2種以上を併用しでもよい。
これらのシナジストの着色樹脂粒子中における含有量は、好ましくは、用いる顔料種及びその使用量により変動するものであり、シナジストの含有効果、本開示の効果を好適に発揮せしめる点から、用いる顔料とシナジストは一定の配合割合となることが好ましく、シナジスト/顔料の質量比を0.01~0.2とすることが望ましく、更に好ましくは、0.05~0.15とすることが望ましい。このシナジスト/顔料の質量比が0.01以上とすることにより着色樹脂粒子中での顔料の脱落をしにくくし、一方、この質量比を0.2以下とすることにより着色樹脂粒子中での顔料の凝集を抑制し、書き味の低下を抑えることとなる。
本開示の着色樹脂粒子(A)は、少なくとも、上述の顔料(p)を含むもの、または、上述の顔料(p)、シナジストを含むものを、所定の粒子径となるように、マイクロカプセル化することにより製造することができる。
マイクロカプセル化法としては、例えば、界面重合法、界面重縮合法、insitu重合法、液中硬化被覆法、水溶液からの相分離法、有機溶媒からの相分離法、融解分散冷却法、気中懸濁被覆法、スプレードライニング法などを挙げることができる。
好ましくは、作製のしやすさの点、品質の点から、マイクロカプセルを構成する樹脂成分(シェル成分)がエポキシ樹脂、ウレタン、ウレア、もしくはウレアウレタンなどの熱硬化型樹脂が好ましく、特に好ましくは、内包する成分量を多くすることが可能であること、また内包成分の種類の制限が少ない、再分散性に優れるという理由からウレタン、ウレア、もしくはウレアウレタンなどのウレタン系樹脂が好ましい。
このシェル層の形成に用いられるウレタン(ポリウレタン樹脂)、ウレア(ポリウレア樹脂)、ウレアウレタン(ポリウレア樹脂/ポリウレタン樹脂)は、イソシアネート成分とアミン成分またはアルコール成分などと反応して形成されるものである。また、シェル層の形成に用いられるエポキシ樹脂は、アミン成分などの硬化剤などと反応して形成されるものである。

用いることができるイソシアネート成分としては、例えば、2,4-トリレンジイソシアネート、2,6-トリレンジイソシアネート、ジフェニルメタンジイソシアネート、ポリメリックジフェニルメタンジイソシアネート、水添ジフェニルメタンジイソシアネート、1,5-ナフタレンジイソシアネート、3,3’-ジメチルジフェニル-4,4’-ジイソシアネート、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネート、イソホロンジイソシアネート、m-フェニレンジイソシアネート、p-フェニレンジイソシアネート、トランスシクロヘキサン1,4-ジイソシアネート、ジフェニルエーテルジイソシアネート、キシリレンジイソシアネート、水添キシリレンジイソシアネート、2,6-ジイソシアネートカプロン酸、テトラメチル-m-キシリレンジイソシアネート、テトラメチル-p-キシリレンジイソシアネート、トリメチルヘキサメチレンジイソシアネート、トリフェニルメタントリイソシアネート、トリス(イソシアネートフェニル)チオホスフェート、イソシアネートアルキル2,6-ジイソシアネートカプロネート、1,6,11-ウンデカントリイソシアネート、1,8-ジイソシアネート-4-イソシアネートメチルオクタン、1,3,6-ヘキサメチレントリイソシアネート、ビシクロヘプタントリイソシアネートなどが挙げられる。
また、m-フェニレンジイソシアネート、p-フェニレンジイソシアネート、2,6-トリレンジイソシアネート、2,4-トリレンジイソシアネート、ナフタレン-1,4-ジイソシアネート、ジフェニルメタン-4,4’-ジイソシアネート、3,3’-ジメトキシ-4,4-ビフェニル-ジイソシアネート、3,3’-ジメチルフェニルメタン-4,4’-ジイソシアネート、キシリレン-1,4-ジイソシアネート、4,4’-ジフェニルプロパンジイソシアネート、トリメチレンジイソシアネート、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネート、プロピレン-1,2-ジイソシアネート、ブチレン-1,2-ジイソシアネート、シクロヘキシレン-1,2-ジイソシアネート、シクロヘキシレン-1,4-ジイソシアネート等のジイソシアネート、4,4’,4’’-トリフェニルメタントリイソシアネート、トルエン-2,4,6-トリイソシアネート等のトリイソシアネート、4,4’-ジメチルジフェニルメタン-2,2’,5,5’-テトライソシアネート等のテトライソシアネート、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネートとトリメチロールプロパンの付加物、2,4-トリレンジイソシアネートとトリメチロールプロパンの付加物、キシリレンジイソシアネートとトリメチロールプロパンの付加物、トリレンジイソシアネートとヘキサントリオールの付加物等のイソシアネートプレポリマー等が挙げられる。これらのイソシアネート成分は単独で用いてもよく、混合して用いても良い。
また、m-フェニレンジイソシアネート、p-フェニレンジイソシアネート、2,6-トリレンジイソシアネート、2,4-トリレンジイソシアネート、ナフタレン-1,4-ジイソシアネート、ジフェニルメタン-4,4’-ジイソシアネート、3,3’-ジメトキシ-4,4-ビフェニル-ジイソシアネート、3,3’-ジメチルフェニルメタン-4,4’-ジイソシアネート、キシリレン-1,4-ジイソシアネート、4,4’-ジフェニルプロパンジイソシアネート、トリメチレンジイソシアネート、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネート、プロピレン-1,2-ジイソシアネート、ブチレン-1,2-ジイソシアネート、シクロヘキシレン-1,2-ジイソシアネート、シクロヘキシレン-1,4-ジイソシアネート等のジイソシアネート、4,4’,4’’-トリフェニルメタントリイソシアネート、トルエン-2,4,6-トリイソシアネート等のトリイソシアネート、4,4’-ジメチルジフェニルメタン-2,2’,5,5’-テトライソシアネート等のテトライソシアネート、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネートとトリメチロールプロパンの付加物、2,4-トリレンジイソシアネートとトリメチロールプロパンの付加物、キシリレンジイソシアネートとトリメチロールプロパンの付加物、トリレンジイソシアネートとヘキサントリオールの付加物等のイソシアネートプレポリマー等が挙げられる。これらのイソシアネート成分は単独で用いてもよく、混合して用いても良い。
用いることができるアミン成分としては、具体的には、エチレンジアミン、ヘキサメチレンジアミン、ジアミノシクロヘキサン、ピペラジン、ジエチレントリアミン、トリエチレンテトラミン、テトラエチレンペンタンミン、イミノビスプロピルアミン、ジアミノエチルエーテル、1,4-ジアミノブタン、ペンタメチレンジアミン、2-メチルピペラジン、2,5-ジメチルピペラジン、2-ヒドロキシトリメチレンジアミン、ジエチルアミノプロピルアミン、ジアミノプロピルアミン、ジアミノプロパン、2-メチルペンタメチレンジアミン、キシレンジアミン等の脂肪族系アミン、m-フェニレンジアミン、トリアミノベンゼン、3,5-トリレンジアミン、ジアミノジフェニルアミン、ジアミノナフタレン、t-ブチルトルエンジアミン、ジエチルトルエンジアミン、ジアミノフェノール等が挙げられる。中でもフェニレンジアミン、ジアミノフェノール、トリアミノベンゼンなどの芳香族系アミンが好ましい。
用いることができるアルコール成分としては、具体的には、エチレングリコール、1,3-プロパンジオール、1,4-ブタンジオール、1,5-ペンタンジオール、1,6-ヘキサンジオール、グリセリン、カテコール、レゾルシノール、ヒドロキノンなどの水酸基を2つ以上有するポリオール等が挙げられる。これらのアルコール成分は単独で用いてもよく、混合して用いても良い。またアルコール成分とアミン成分とを混合して用いても良い。
これらのウレタン、ウレア、もしくはウレアウレタンによるウレタン系によるシェル層の形成としては、例えば、1)ウレタン、ウレア及びウレタンウレアのうち少なくとも1つのモノマー成分と、顔料成分を分散させて界面重合でシェル層を形成したり、あるいは、2)イソシアネート成分とを含む油状成分(油性相)を、水系溶媒(水性相)中に分散させて乳化液を調整する乳化工程と、乳化液にアミン成分及びアルコール成分のうち少なくとも1つを添加して界面重合を行う界面重合工程とを含む製造方法により形成することができる。
上記2)の製造方法において、乳化液の調整に際しては、溶剤が用いることができる。例えば、フェニルグリコール、ベンジルアルコール、エチレングリコールモノベンジルエーテル、酢酸エチル、アルキルスルホン酸フェニルエステル、フタル酸エチルヘキシル、フタル酸トリデシル、トリメリット酸エチルヘキシル、ジエチレングリコールジベンゾエート、ジプロピレングリコールジベンゾエート、液状のキシレン樹脂等を用いることができる。これらは単独で使用してもよく、混合して使用してもよい。
一方、上記油性相を乳化させるために使用する水性相には、予め保護コロイドを含有させてもよい。保護コロイドとしては、水溶性高分子が使用でき、公知のアニオン性高分子、ノニオン性高分子、両性高分子の中から適宜選択することができるが、ポリビニルアルコール、ゼラチンおよびセルロース系高分子化合物を含ませるのが特に好ましい。
また、水性相には、界面活性剤を含有させてもよい。界面活性剤としては、アニオン性またはノニオン性の界面活性剤の中から、上記保護コロイドと作用して沈殿や凝集を起こさないものを適宜選択して使用することができる。好ましい界面活性剤としては、アルキルベンゼンスルホン酸ソーダ(例えば、ラウリル硫酸ナトリウム)、スルホコハク酸ジオクチルナトリウム塩、ポリアルキレングリコール(例えば、ポリオキシエチレンノニルフェニルエーテル)等を挙げることができる。
上記のようにして作製された油性相を水性相に加え、機械力を用いて乳化した後、必要に応じて系の温度を上昇させることにより油性液滴界面で界面重合を起こし、粒子化することができる。また、同時あるいは界面重合反応終了後、脱溶媒を行うことができる。カプセル粒子は、界面重合反応および脱溶媒を行った後、粒子を水性相から分離、洗浄した後、乾燥することなどにより得られる。
一方、上記油性相を乳化させるために使用する水性相には、予め保護コロイドを含有させてもよい。保護コロイドとしては、水溶性高分子が使用でき、公知のアニオン性高分子、ノニオン性高分子、両性高分子の中から適宜選択することができるが、ポリビニルアルコール、ゼラチンおよびセルロース系高分子化合物を含ませるのが特に好ましい。
また、水性相には、界面活性剤を含有させてもよい。界面活性剤としては、アニオン性またはノニオン性の界面活性剤の中から、上記保護コロイドと作用して沈殿や凝集を起こさないものを適宜選択して使用することができる。好ましい界面活性剤としては、アルキルベンゼンスルホン酸ソーダ(例えば、ラウリル硫酸ナトリウム)、スルホコハク酸ジオクチルナトリウム塩、ポリアルキレングリコール(例えば、ポリオキシエチレンノニルフェニルエーテル)等を挙げることができる。
上記のようにして作製された油性相を水性相に加え、機械力を用いて乳化した後、必要に応じて系の温度を上昇させることにより油性液滴界面で界面重合を起こし、粒子化することができる。また、同時あるいは界面重合反応終了後、脱溶媒を行うことができる。カプセル粒子は、界面重合反応および脱溶媒を行った後、粒子を水性相から分離、洗浄した後、乾燥することなどにより得られる。
また、シェル層の形成に用いられるエポキシ樹脂は、アミン成分などの硬化剤などと反応して形成されるものであり、上記の各マイクロカプセル化法を用いて、例えば、界面重合法により形成することができる。
用いることができるエポキシ樹脂としては、1分子中に2個以上のエポキシ基を有するエポキシ樹脂で、分子量、分子構造等に制限されることなく一般的に用いられているものを用いることができ、例えば、ビスフェノールAジグリシジルエーテル型エポキシ樹脂のようなビスフェノールA型エポキシ樹脂、ビスフェノールF型エポキシ樹脂、ノボラック型エポキシ樹脂、クレゾールノボラック型エポキシ樹脂、ビフェニル型エポキシ樹脂等の芳香族系エポキシ樹脂、ナフタレン型多官能型エポキシ樹脂、ポリカルボン酸のグリシジルエーテル型エポキシ樹脂、同グリシジルエステル型エポキシ樹脂、および、シクロヘキサンポリエーテル型エポキシ樹脂、水添ビスフェノールA型エポキシ樹脂のようなシクロヘキサン誘導体等のエポキシ化によって得られる脂環族系エポキシ樹脂、ジシクロペンタジエン型エポキシ樹脂等の脂環族系エポキシ樹脂が挙げられ、これらは単独又は2種以上混合して使用することができる。
用いることができるエポキシ樹脂としては、1分子中に2個以上のエポキシ基を有するエポキシ樹脂で、分子量、分子構造等に制限されることなく一般的に用いられているものを用いることができ、例えば、ビスフェノールAジグリシジルエーテル型エポキシ樹脂のようなビスフェノールA型エポキシ樹脂、ビスフェノールF型エポキシ樹脂、ノボラック型エポキシ樹脂、クレゾールノボラック型エポキシ樹脂、ビフェニル型エポキシ樹脂等の芳香族系エポキシ樹脂、ナフタレン型多官能型エポキシ樹脂、ポリカルボン酸のグリシジルエーテル型エポキシ樹脂、同グリシジルエステル型エポキシ樹脂、および、シクロヘキサンポリエーテル型エポキシ樹脂、水添ビスフェノールA型エポキシ樹脂のようなシクロヘキサン誘導体等のエポキシ化によって得られる脂環族系エポキシ樹脂、ジシクロペンタジエン型エポキシ樹脂等の脂環族系エポキシ樹脂が挙げられ、これらは単独又は2種以上混合して使用することができる。
本開示では、上記着色樹脂粒子の形成の際に、上記顔料と共に、また、上記顔料、シナジストと共に、分散剤をそれぞれ用いることが好ましい。
用いることができる分散剤としては、例えば、アジスパーPB821、アジスパーPB822、アジスパーPB711(いずれも、味の素ファインテクノ株式会社製)、ディスパロンDA-705、ディスパロンDA-325、ディスパロンDA-725、ディスパロンDA-703-50、ディスパロンDA-234(楠本化成株式会社製)DISPERBYK-111、DISPERBYK-2000、DISPERBYK-2001、DISPERBYK-2020、DISPERBYK-2050、DISPERBYK-2150(ビックケミー・ジャパン社製)、EFKA4010、EFKA4009、EFKA4015、EFKA4047、EFKA4050、EFKA4055、EFKA4060、EFKA4080、EFKA4520(BASFジャパン社製)、TEGO Dispers 655、TEGO Dispers 685、TEGO Dispers 690(エボニックジャパン社製)などが挙げられ、その他、分散剤として従来公知の一般に市販されているものを使用することもでき、上記例示に限定されるものではない。
これらの分散剤の着色樹脂粒子中における含有量は、用いる顔料、シナジストの種類等により変動するものであり、顔料とシナジストの相乗作用、本開示の効果を好適に発揮せしめる点から、2~20質量%であることが好ましく、更に好ましくは、3~15質量%が望ましい。

これらの分散剤の着色樹脂粒子中における含有量は、用いる顔料、シナジストの種類等により変動するものであり、顔料とシナジストの相乗作用、本開示の効果を好適に発揮せしめる点から、2~20質量%であることが好ましく、更に好ましくは、3~15質量%が望ましい。
本開示では、上記各形成手段でシェル層を形成することにより、少なくとも顔料(p)を内包したマイクロカプセル顔料からなる着色樹脂粒子(A)、または、少なくとも顔料(p)とシナジストを内包したマイクロカプセル顔料からなる着色樹脂粒子(A)が得られるものである。
本開示において、少なくとも顔料の含有量、シナジストを用いる場合の含有量は、分散性、比重、粒子径を任意にコントロールとする点、発色性などから変動するものであるが、製造の際に用いる上記水相成分(水、PVA)、油相成分(溶剤)などは着色樹脂粒子とした場合には実質的に残存しないものとなるので、着色樹脂粒子の製造の際に用いる各原料(顔料、シナジスト、分散剤、樹脂成分など)を、上述の顔料、シナジスト、分散剤、樹脂成分(残部)を好適な範囲で調整して重合することなどにより、各成分が上記所定の好ましい範囲となる着色樹脂粒子が得られることとなる。
本開示において、少なくとも顔料の含有量、シナジストを用いる場合の含有量は、分散性、比重、粒子径を任意にコントロールとする点、発色性などから変動するものであるが、製造の際に用いる上記水相成分(水、PVA)、油相成分(溶剤)などは着色樹脂粒子とした場合には実質的に残存しないものとなるので、着色樹脂粒子の製造の際に用いる各原料(顔料、シナジスト、分散剤、樹脂成分など)を、上述の顔料、シナジスト、分散剤、樹脂成分(残部)を好適な範囲で調整して重合することなどにより、各成分が上記所定の好ましい範囲となる着色樹脂粒子が得られることとなる。
また、本開示において、上記顔料などを少なくとも内包したマイクロカプセル顔料から構成される着色樹脂粒子(A)は、筆記具(ボールペン、マーキングペン)の用途により、所定の平均粒子径、例えば、平均粒子径0.1~30μmになるように調整することができ、好ましくは、0.5~20μmの範囲が上記各用途の実用性を満たすものとなる。
本開示(後述する実施例を含む)において、「平均粒子径」とは、レーザー回折法で測定される体積基準により算出された粒度分布の体積累積50%時の粒子径(D50)の値である。ここで、レーザー回折法による平均粒子径の測定は、例えば、日機装株式会社の粒子径分布解析装置HRA9320-X100を用いて行うことができる。
本開示(後述する実施例を含む)において、「平均粒子径」とは、レーザー回折法で測定される体積基準により算出された粒度分布の体積累積50%時の粒子径(D50)の値である。ここで、レーザー回折法による平均粒子径の測定は、例えば、日機装株式会社の粒子径分布解析装置HRA9320-X100を用いて行うことができる。
<着色樹脂粒子(B)>
本開示の着色樹脂粒子(B)は、着色樹脂粒子(A)において用いた顔料(p)が粒子の表面に露出した着色樹脂粒子であり、図1(c)(d)に沿って上述した内容の着色樹脂粒子である。
この着色樹脂粒子(B)は、例えば、少なくとも上記顔料(p)、また、上記顔料(p)、シナジストなどを含むものを、上述の着色樹脂粒子(A)の製造と同様に、所定の粒子径となるように、マイクロカプセル化、具体的には、着色樹脂粒子(A)の製造の際よりも、用いる樹脂成分を増量、例えば、樹脂成分がウレタン系の場合にはイソシアネート成分を減量(20~50質量%減量)、及び/又は、顔料(p)を増量(25~100質量%増量)することにより、表面に顔料(p)が露出した着色樹脂粒子(B)を製造することができる。
用いる顔料(p)、樹脂成分などは、上述した着色樹脂粒子(A)で用いた各材料などを使用できるので、各材料の説明、製造法などの説明は省略する。
本開示において、着色樹脂粒子(B)における顔料(p)の表面存在率は、3~50%であり、好ましくは、5~30%が望ましい。また、本開示(後述する実施例等を含む)において、着色樹脂粒子(B)における顔料(p)の表面存在率の算出方法は、SEM(走査型電子顕微鏡、Scanning Electron Microscope)観察し、画像解析法により、次式より求めた。表面存在率(%)=(顔料(p)の面積/着色樹脂粒子(B)の面積)×100。
この場合、表面存在率は、顔料(p)の露出が認められた着色樹脂粒子(B)300個の平均とする。このSEM観察は、日立ハイテクノロジーズ社製、S-4700 を用いて測定し、画像解析法は、例えばMountech社のMac-Viewを用いて行うことができる。
本開示の着色樹脂粒子(B)は、着色樹脂粒子(A)において用いた顔料(p)が粒子の表面に露出した着色樹脂粒子であり、図1(c)(d)に沿って上述した内容の着色樹脂粒子である。
この着色樹脂粒子(B)は、例えば、少なくとも上記顔料(p)、また、上記顔料(p)、シナジストなどを含むものを、上述の着色樹脂粒子(A)の製造と同様に、所定の粒子径となるように、マイクロカプセル化、具体的には、着色樹脂粒子(A)の製造の際よりも、用いる樹脂成分を増量、例えば、樹脂成分がウレタン系の場合にはイソシアネート成分を減量(20~50質量%減量)、及び/又は、顔料(p)を増量(25~100質量%増量)することにより、表面に顔料(p)が露出した着色樹脂粒子(B)を製造することができる。
用いる顔料(p)、樹脂成分などは、上述した着色樹脂粒子(A)で用いた各材料などを使用できるので、各材料の説明、製造法などの説明は省略する。

<筆記具用水性インク組成物>
本開示の筆記具用水性インク組成物は、少なくとも、上述の顔料(p)を内包する着色樹脂粒子(A)と、表面に顔料(p)が露出した着色樹脂粒子(B)を含有することを特徴とするものであり、例えば、水性のボールペン、マーキングペンなどの筆記具用インク組成物として使用に供される。
本開示において、上記特性の着色樹脂粒子(A)と、上記特性の着色樹脂粒子(B)の総含有量は、筆記具用水性インク組成物中(全量)に対して、好ましくは、5~25質量%、更に好ましくは、10~20質量%とすることが望ましい。
この着色樹脂粒子の含有量が5質量%未満では、着色力が不足して、筆記描線の視認性が低下することとなり、一方、25質量%を超えると、粘度が高くなるため、インクの流動性が低下することがあるので好ましくない。
本開示の筆記具用水性インク組成物は、少なくとも、上述の顔料(p)を内包する着色樹脂粒子(A)と、表面に顔料(p)が露出した着色樹脂粒子(B)を含有することを特徴とするものであり、例えば、水性のボールペン、マーキングペンなどの筆記具用インク組成物として使用に供される。
本開示において、上記特性の着色樹脂粒子(A)と、上記特性の着色樹脂粒子(B)の総含有量は、筆記具用水性インク組成物中(全量)に対して、好ましくは、5~25質量%、更に好ましくは、10~20質量%とすることが望ましい。
この着色樹脂粒子の含有量が5質量%未満では、着色力が不足して、筆記描線の視認性が低下することとなり、一方、25質量%を超えると、粘度が高くなるため、インクの流動性が低下することがあるので好ましくない。
本開示において、上記特性の着色樹脂粒子(A)と、上記特性の着色樹脂粒子(B)の含有比〔(B)/(A)〕は、本開示の効果を更に発揮せしめる点、着色樹脂粒子(A)と着色樹脂粒子(B)の経時的な凝集によるインクの不安定化を防ぐ点から、質量基準で0.05~2.0とすることが望ましい。
前記着色樹脂粒子(A)及び(B)の各平均粒子径の比〔(B)/(A)〕は、本開示の効果を更に発揮せしめる点、着色樹脂粒子(A)と着色樹脂粒子(B)の経時的な分離によるインクの不安定化を防ぐ点から、0.5~2.0であることが好ましい。
前記着色樹脂粒子(A)及び(B)の各平均粒子径の比〔(B)/(A)〕は、本開示の効果を更に発揮せしめる点、着色樹脂粒子(A)と着色樹脂粒子(B)の経時的な分離によるインクの不安定化を防ぐ点から、0.5~2.0であることが好ましい。
本開示の筆記具用水性インク組成物には、上記特性の各着色樹脂粒子(A)、(B)の他、水溶性溶剤が含有される。また、上記特性の着色樹脂粒子(A)、(B)以外の汎用の着色剤を、必要に応じて、本開示の効果を損なわない範囲で適宜含有することができる。
用いることができる水溶性溶剤としては、例えば、エチレングリコール、ジエチレングリコール、トリエチレングリコール、プロピレングリコール、ポリエチレングリコール、グリセリン等のグリコール類や、エチレングリコールモノメチルエーテル、ジエチレングリコールモノメチルエーテル、単独或いは混合して使用することができる。この水溶性溶剤の含有量は、筆記具用水性インク組成物全量中、5~40質量%とすることが望ましい。
用いることができる水溶性溶剤としては、例えば、エチレングリコール、ジエチレングリコール、トリエチレングリコール、プロピレングリコール、ポリエチレングリコール、グリセリン等のグリコール類や、エチレングリコールモノメチルエーテル、ジエチレングリコールモノメチルエーテル、単独或いは混合して使用することができる。この水溶性溶剤の含有量は、筆記具用水性インク組成物全量中、5~40質量%とすることが望ましい。
用いることができる着色剤としては、水溶性染料、本開示の効果を損なわない範囲で顔料、例えば、無機顔料、有機顔料、プラスチックピグメント、粒子内部に空隙のある中空樹脂粒子は白色顔料として、または、発色性、分散性に優れる塩基性染料で染色した樹脂粒子(擬似顔料)等も適宜量使用できる。
水溶性染料としては、直接染料、酸性染料、食用染料、塩基性染料のいずれも本開示の効果を損なわない範囲で適宜量用いることができる。
水溶性染料としては、直接染料、酸性染料、食用染料、塩基性染料のいずれも本開示の効果を損なわない範囲で適宜量用いることができる。
本開示の筆記具用水性インク組成物には、上記特性の着色樹脂粒子(A)、(B)、該着色樹脂粒子以外の着色剤、水溶性溶剤の他、残部として溶媒である水(水道水、精製水、蒸留水、イオン交換水、純水等)の他、本開示の効果を損なわない範囲で、分散剤、潤滑剤、pH調整剤、防錆剤、防腐剤もしくは防菌剤、増粘剤などを適宜含有することができる。
用いることができる分散剤としては、ノニオン、アニオン界面活性剤や水溶性樹脂が用いられる。好ましくは水溶性高分子が用いられる。
分散剤としては、特に限定はなく、公知のものが用いられ、また、公知の材料・方法で得られるものを用いることができる。
潤滑剤としては、顔料の表面処理剤にも用いられる多価アルコールの脂肪酸エステル、糖の高級脂肪酸エステル、ポリオキシアルキレン高級脂肪酸エステル、アルキル燐酸エステルなどのノニオン系や、高級脂肪酸アミドのアルキルスルホン酸塩、アルキルアリルスルホン酸塩などのアニオン系、ポリアルキレングリコールの誘導体やフッ素系界面活性剤、ポリエーテル変性シリコーンなどが挙げられる。
分散剤としては、特に限定はなく、公知のものが用いられ、また、公知の材料・方法で得られるものを用いることができる。
潤滑剤としては、顔料の表面処理剤にも用いられる多価アルコールの脂肪酸エステル、糖の高級脂肪酸エステル、ポリオキシアルキレン高級脂肪酸エステル、アルキル燐酸エステルなどのノニオン系や、高級脂肪酸アミドのアルキルスルホン酸塩、アルキルアリルスルホン酸塩などのアニオン系、ポリアルキレングリコールの誘導体やフッ素系界面活性剤、ポリエーテル変性シリコーンなどが挙げられる。
pH調整剤としては、アンモニア、尿素、モノエタノーアミン、ジエタノールアミン、トリエタノールアミンや、トリポリリン酸ナトリウム、炭酸ナトリウムなとの炭酸やリン酸のアルカリ金属塩、水酸化ナトリウムなどのアルカリ金属の水和物などが挙げられる。また、防錆剤としては、ベンゾトリアゾール、トリルトリアゾール、ジシクロへキシルアンモニウムナイトライト、サポニン類など、防腐剤もしくは防菌剤としては、フェノール、ナトリウムオマジン、安息香酸ナトリウム、チアゾリン系化合物、ベンズイミダゾール系化合物などが挙げられる。
増粘剤としては、カルボキシメチルセルロース(CMC)又はその塩、発酵セルロース、結晶セルロース、多糖類などが挙げられる。用いることができる多糖類としては、例えば、キサンタンガム、グアーガム、ヒドロキシプロピル化グアーガム、カゼイン、アラビアガム、ゼラチン、アミロース、アガロース、アガロペクチン、アラビナン、カードラン、カロース、カルボキシメチルデンプン、キチン、キトサン、クインスシード、グルコマンナン、ジェランガム、タマリンドシードガム、デキストラン、ニゲラン、ヒアルロン酸、プスツラン、フノラン、HMペクチン、ポルフィラン、ラミナラン、リケナン、カラギーナン、アルギン酸、トラガカントガム、アルカシーガム、サクシノグリカン、ローカストビーンガム、タラガムなどが挙げられ、これらは1種単独で使用してもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。また、これらの市販品があればそれを使用することができる

本開示の筆記具用水性インク組成物は、上記特性の各着色樹脂粒子(A)、(B)、水溶性溶剤、その他の各成分を筆記具用(ボールペン用、マーキングペン用等)インクの用途に応じて適宜組み合わせて、ホモミキサー、ホモジナイザーもしくはディスパー等の撹拌機により撹拌混合することにより、更に必要に応じて、ろ過や遠心分離によってインク組成物中の粗大粒子を除去すること等によって筆記具用水性インク組成物を調製することができる。
本開示の筆記具用水性インク組成物は、ボールペンチップ、繊維チップ、フェルトチップ、プラスチックチップなどのペン先部を備えたボールペン、マーキングペン等に搭載される。
本開示におけるボールペンとしては、上記組成の筆記具用水性インク組成物をボールペン用インク収容体(リフィール)に収容すると共に、該インク収容体内に収容された水性インク組成物とは相溶性がなく、かつ、該水性インク組成物に対して比重が小さい物質、例えば、ポリブテン、シリコーンオイル、鉱油等がインク追従体として収容されるものが挙げられ、例えば、該筆記具用水性インク組成物を、直径が0.18~2.0mmのボールを有するボールペンチップを備えた水性ボールペン体に充填することにより作製することができる。
なお、ボールペン、マーキングペンの構造は、特に限定されず、例えば、軸筒自体をインク収容体として該軸筒内に上記構成の筆記具用水性インク組成物を充填したコレクター構造(インク保持機構)を備えた直液式のボールペン、マーキングペンであってもよいものである。
本開示におけるボールペンとしては、上記組成の筆記具用水性インク組成物をボールペン用インク収容体(リフィール)に収容すると共に、該インク収容体内に収容された水性インク組成物とは相溶性がなく、かつ、該水性インク組成物に対して比重が小さい物質、例えば、ポリブテン、シリコーンオイル、鉱油等がインク追従体として収容されるものが挙げられ、例えば、該筆記具用水性インク組成物を、直径が0.18~2.0mmのボールを有するボールペンチップを備えた水性ボールペン体に充填することにより作製することができる。
なお、ボールペン、マーキングペンの構造は、特に限定されず、例えば、軸筒自体をインク収容体として該軸筒内に上記構成の筆記具用水性インク組成物を充填したコレクター構造(インク保持機構)を備えた直液式のボールペン、マーキングペンであってもよいものである。
また、本開示の筆記具用水性インク組成物のpH(25℃)は、使用性、安全性、インク自身の安定性、インク収容体とのマッチング性の点からpH調整剤などにより5~10に調整されることが好ましく、更に好ましくは、6~9.5とすることが望ましい。
このように構成される本開示の筆記具用水性インク組成物にあっては、少なくとも、顔料を内部に含む着色樹脂粒子(A)の他に、樹脂粒子の表面に顔料を露出させた着色樹脂粒子(B)を併用することで、良好な発色性が得られ、描線濃度に優れた筆記具用水性インク組成物が得られるものとなる。発色性を高くするためには、(B)タイプの着色樹脂粒を用いることが好ましいが、顔料(p)が露出するために経時安定性が低下しやすくなる。本開示では、(A)タイプの着色樹脂粒子を併用することで、全体的にバランスがとれた性能を実現する筆記具用水性インク組成物が得られることとなる。
また、用いる着色樹脂粒子中に、シナジストを含有することで樹脂に対する顔料の親和性が高くなり、顔料の脱落が発生しにくくなり、インク流路での詰まりがなく、更に書き味も良好となる筆記具用用水性インク組成物が得られることとなる。
これらにより、本開示の筆記具用水性インク組成物は、用いる着色剤として着色樹脂粒子(A)及び(B)を好適に用いることができ、ボールペン用、マーキングペン用などの各配合成分を好適に組み合わせ、調製等することにより、発色性、描線濃度に優れた目的の筆記具用水性インク組成物を得ることができる。
また、用いる着色樹脂粒子中に、シナジストを含有することで樹脂に対する顔料の親和性が高くなり、顔料の脱落が発生しにくくなり、インク流路での詰まりがなく、更に書き味も良好となる筆記具用用水性インク組成物が得られることとなる。
これらにより、本開示の筆記具用水性インク組成物は、用いる着色剤として着色樹脂粒子(A)及び(B)を好適に用いることができ、ボールペン用、マーキングペン用などの各配合成分を好適に組み合わせ、調製等することにより、発色性、描線濃度に優れた目的の筆記具用水性インク組成物を得ることができる。
次に、製造例、実施例及び比較例により本開示を更に詳細に説明するが、本開示は下記実施例等に限定されるものではない。なお、下記製造例の「部」は「質量部」を意味する。
用いる着色樹脂粒子(A)-1、(A)-2、(B)について、下記製造例1~3により製造した。

(製造例1:着色樹脂粒子(A)-1の製造)
油相溶液として、エチレングリコールモノベンジルエーテル11.6部と分散剤(DISPERBYK-111、ビックケミー・ジャパン社製)1.8部とを60℃に加温しながら、顔料(カーボンブラック、Cabot Mogul L、キャボット社製)2.0部と、シナジスト(フタロシアニン顔料誘導体、ソルスパース5000、ルーブリゾール社製)0.2部とを加えて十分分散させた。次いで、ここにプレポリマーとしてのキシリレンジイソシアネートのトリメチロールプロパン付加物(タケネート D110N、三井化学社製)9.0質量部を加えて、油相溶液を作製した。水相溶液としては、蒸留水600質量部を60℃に加温しながら、ここに分散剤としてのポリビニルアルコール(PVA-205、クラレ社製)15質量部を溶解して、水相溶液を作製した。
60℃の水相溶液に油相溶液を投入し、ホモジナイザーで6時間撹拌することにより乳化混合して重合を完了した。得られた分散体を遠心処理することで着色樹脂粒子(A)-1を得た。この着色樹脂粒子(A)-1の平均粒子径(D50)は、2.1μmであった。
油相溶液として、エチレングリコールモノベンジルエーテル11.6部と分散剤(DISPERBYK-111、ビックケミー・ジャパン社製)1.8部とを60℃に加温しながら、顔料(カーボンブラック、Cabot Mogul L、キャボット社製)2.0部と、シナジスト(フタロシアニン顔料誘導体、ソルスパース5000、ルーブリゾール社製)0.2部とを加えて十分分散させた。次いで、ここにプレポリマーとしてのキシリレンジイソシアネートのトリメチロールプロパン付加物(タケネート D110N、三井化学社製)9.0質量部を加えて、油相溶液を作製した。水相溶液としては、蒸留水600質量部を60℃に加温しながら、ここに分散剤としてのポリビニルアルコール(PVA-205、クラレ社製)15質量部を溶解して、水相溶液を作製した。
60℃の水相溶液に油相溶液を投入し、ホモジナイザーで6時間撹拌することにより乳化混合して重合を完了した。得られた分散体を遠心処理することで着色樹脂粒子(A)-1を得た。この着色樹脂粒子(A)-1の平均粒子径(D50)は、2.1μmであった。
(製造例2:着色樹脂粒子(B)の製造)
上記製造例1のキシリレンジイソシアネートのトリメチロールプロパン付加物(タケネート D110N、三井化学社製)を5.0部とした他は上記製造例1と同様にして、着色樹脂粒子(B)を得た。この着色樹脂粒子(B)の平均粒子径(D50)は、1.8μmであった。また、この着色樹脂粒子(B)における顔料(p)の表面存在率は、20%であった。
上記製造例1のキシリレンジイソシアネートのトリメチロールプロパン付加物(タケネート D110N、三井化学社製)を5.0部とした他は上記製造例1と同様にして、着色樹脂粒子(B)を得た。この着色樹脂粒子(B)の平均粒子径(D50)は、1.8μmであった。また、この着色樹脂粒子(B)における顔料(p)の表面存在率は、20%であった。
(製造例3:他の着色樹脂粒子(A)-2の製造)
上記製造例1の分散剤(DISPERBYK-111、ビックケミー・ジャパン社製)を3.2部とし、シナジスト(フタロシアニン顔料誘導体、ソルスパース5000、ルーブリゾール社製)を加えない他は上記製造例1と同様にして、着色樹脂粒子(A)-2を得た。この着色樹脂粒子(A)-2の平均粒子径(D50)は、2.7μmであった。
上記製造例1の分散剤(DISPERBYK-111、ビックケミー・ジャパン社製)を3.2部とし、シナジスト(フタロシアニン顔料誘導体、ソルスパース5000、ルーブリゾール社製)を加えない他は上記製造例1と同様にして、着色樹脂粒子(A)-2を得た。この着色樹脂粒子(A)-2の平均粒子径(D50)は、2.7μmであった。
〔実施例1~5及び比較例1~2:マーキングペン〕
下記表1に示す配合組成により、常法により、各筆記具(マーキングペン)用水性インク組成物を調製した。
上記実施例1~5及び比較例1~2で得られた筆記具用水性インク組成物について、下記方法によりマーキングペンを作製して、下記評価方法で描線濃度について評価を行った。
これらの結果を下記表1に示す。
下記表1に示す配合組成により、常法により、各筆記具(マーキングペン)用水性インク組成物を調製した。
上記実施例1~5及び比較例1~2で得られた筆記具用水性インク組成物について、下記方法によりマーキングペンを作製して、下記評価方法で描線濃度について評価を行った。
これらの結果を下記表1に示す。
〔マーキングペンの作製〕
得られた各インク組成物をマーキングペン〔三菱鉛筆社製、PM-120T、ペン芯:極細芯(POM樹脂)、細字丸芯(PET繊維)、インク吸蔵体(PET繊維)〕に充填した。

A:比較例1に対して十分に濃い
B:比較例1に対してやや濃い
C:比較例1に対して同等、または薄い
上記マーキングペンに、得られた各インク組成物を充填し、25℃、60%RHの条件下において、PPC用紙に約30cmの直線を筆記して、描線について下記評価基準で評価した。
評価基準:
A:比較例1に対して十分に濃い
B:比較例1に対してやや濃い
C:比較例1に対して同等、または薄い
(経時安定性の評価方法)
上記で得た実施例1~5及び比較例1~2で得られた筆記具用水性インク組成物について、ガラス製バイアル瓶に充填し蓋を閉め、50℃の環境下に保存し、一定期間後に、バイアル瓶内のインクに凝集や沈降が見られない期間を「安定性が維持されている期間」とし、下記評価基準で評価した。
評価基準:
A:3ヶ月以上
B:1ヶ月以上3ヶ月未満
C:1ヶ月未満
上記で得た実施例1~5及び比較例1~2で得られた筆記具用水性インク組成物について、ガラス製バイアル瓶に充填し蓋を閉め、50℃の環境下に保存し、一定期間後に、バイアル瓶内のインクに凝集や沈降が見られない期間を「安定性が維持されている期間」とし、下記評価基準で評価した。
評価基準:
A:3ヶ月以上
B:1ヶ月以上3ヶ月未満
C:1ヶ月未満
〔実施例6~11及び比較例3~4:水性ボールペン〕
下記表2に示す配合組成により、常法により、各筆記具(ボールペン)用水性インク組成物を調製した。
上記実施例6~11及び比較例3~4で得られた筆記具(ボールペン)用水性インク組成物について、下記方法により水性ボールペンを作製して、下記評価方法で描線濃度について評価を行った。
これらの結果を下記表2に示す。
下記表2に示す配合組成により、常法により、各筆記具(ボールペン)用水性インク組成物を調製した。
上記実施例6~11及び比較例3~4で得られた筆記具(ボールペン)用水性インク組成物について、下記方法により水性ボールペンを作製して、下記評価方法で描線濃度について評価を行った。
これらの結果を下記表2に示す。
〔水性ボールペンの作製〕
得られた各インク組成物を用いて水性ボールペンを作製した。具体的には、ボールペン〔三菱鉛筆株式会社製、商品名:シグノUM-100〕の軸を使用し、内径4.0mm、長さ113mmポリプロピレン製インク収容管とステンレス製チップ(超硬合金ボール、ボール径0.7mm)及び該収容管と該チップを連結する継手からなるリフィールに上記各水性インクを充填し、インク後端に鉱油を主成分とするインク追従体を装填し、水性ボールペンを作製した。
得られた各インク組成物を用いて水性ボールペンを作製した。具体的には、ボールペン〔三菱鉛筆株式会社製、商品名:シグノUM-100〕の軸を使用し、内径4.0mm、長さ113mmポリプロピレン製インク収容管とステンレス製チップ(超硬合金ボール、ボール径0.7mm)及び該収容管と該チップを連結する継手からなるリフィールに上記各水性インクを充填し、インク後端に鉱油を主成分とするインク追従体を装填し、水性ボールペンを作製した。
(描線濃度の評価方法)
上記ボールペンに、得られた各インク組成物を充填し、25℃、60%RHの条件下において、PPC用紙に約30cmの直線を筆記して、描線について下記評価基準で評価した。
評価基準:
A:比較例3に対して十分に濃い
B:比較例3に対してやや濃い
C:比較例3に対して同等、または薄い
上記ボールペンに、得られた各インク組成物を充填し、25℃、60%RHの条件下において、PPC用紙に約30cmの直線を筆記して、描線について下記評価基準で評価した。
評価基準:
A:比較例3に対して十分に濃い
B:比較例3に対してやや濃い
C:比較例3に対して同等、または薄い

上記表1及び表2の結果から明らかなように、本開示範囲となる実施例1~11の筆記具(マーキングペン、ボールペン)用水性インク組成物は、本開示の範囲外となる比較例1~4に較べ、経時安定性を損なうことなく、描線濃度に優れる筆記具用水性インク組成物であることが確認された。
水性ボールペン、マーキングペンなどに好適な筆記具用水性インク組成物が得られる。
Claims (5)
- 少なくとも、顔料(p)を内包する着色樹脂粒子(A)と、表面に顔料(p)が露出した着色樹脂粒子(B)を含有することを特徴とする筆記具用水性インク組成物。
- 前記着色樹脂粒子(A)及び(B)の各樹脂成分はウレタン系であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の筆記具用水性インク組成物。
- 前記着色樹脂粒子(A)及び(B)の含有比〔(B)/(A)〕は、質量基準で0.05~2.0であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の筆記具用水性インク組成物。
- 前記着色樹脂粒子(A)及び(B)の各平均粒子径の比〔(B)/(A)〕が、0.5~2.0であることを特徴とする請求項1~3の何れか一つに記載の筆記具用水性インク組成物。
- 前記顔料(p)がカーボンブラックであることを特徴とする請求項1~4の何れか一つに記載の筆記具用水性インク組成物。
