Definitions
- the present invention relates to passenger compartment equipment of a motor vehicle intended to control one or more functions of said vehicle.
- the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle constitutes for users - driver and possible passengers - a place of life and interaction with controls which make it possible to control vehicle functions; these functions are of a very diverse nature and relate to the actual operation of the vehicle such as the parking brake, the direction indicators, etc. and also relate to the well-being of users such as the infotainment system, the air conditioning system. ..
- the commands typically found inside a vehicle and which constitute the interface for controlling the functions of a vehicle are in particular of the type:
- buttons for, for example, controlling the locking of a vehicle
- rotary knobs for, for example, controlling the temperature setting of the air conditioning system
- tilting buttons for, for example, controlling the window opening / closing mechanism
- sliders for, for example, controlling the temperature setting of the air conditioning system
- control members These control elements - buttons, sliders, etc. - are of the mechanical or electromechanical type.
- these control members are, on the one hand, relatively expensive and on the other hand, have significant installation constraints in the passenger compartment of the vehicle since they can only be positioned at locations which allow to accommodate their mechanisms. This last constraint therefore greatly reduces the freedom of design of the passenger compartment since the location of these members is dictated not according to ergonomic considerations but according to mechanical constraints which may be in contradiction with ergonomic considerations.
- control module makes it possible to control several different functions depending on the control member which is actuated by the user.
- this type of control module has the drawback of generating numerous handling errors on the part of the user due to the relatively great proximity of the control members within the same control module. The user is therefore obliged to proceed by successive trial and error using his free hand to be able to obtain the desired result. To avoid these handling errors, the user can choose to temporarily take his eyes off the road so as to allow him to see directly on the control module the place where he must press to produce a specific function. The latter solution should however be avoided when the vehicle is moving and when the user is in control of the vehicle because it can potentially lead to loss of control of the vehicle.
- an aim of the invention is to improve the control interface for vehicle functions to provide a more ergonomic interior and allowing a user to choose easily, quickly and while limiting the risk of error, different functions. offered by the control interface without having to look at the control interface, only by touch.
- the invention relates to passenger compartment equipment for controlling a function of a motor vehicle, characterized in that the equipment comprises a body in which is provided a control zone comprising sensors configured to generate a signal. electrical in response to an action such as force or pressure exerted on at least one of the sensors and which can be connected to an Electronic Control Unit (ECU) of the vehicle, a haptic feedback module which can be connected to the ECU, adjacent to the control area and cowling elements covering said sensors and said haptic feedback module, the electrical signal generated by the sensors being transmitted to the ECU to be analyzed there and converted into a command of a function of the vehicle and the haptic feedback module, and in that at least two sensors each form a protrusion on the surface of the control zone on which a finger of a user can rest, the protuberances formed by c each of the sensors are distinguished by their size, shape and / or orientation, so that the user is able to distinguish each of the sensors only by touching them and without having to look at the control area.
- ECU Electronic Control Unit
- the invention can comprise, in isolation or in combination, the following provisions: the sensors are made of a conductive material which makes it possible to measure a variation in electrical signals associated with micro-deformations of this material upon contact or pressure on it.
- the body comprises a lower shell and cowling means between which the sensors and the haptic feedback module are arranged.
- the cowling means comprise an upper shell which extends over the whole of the lower shell.
- the sensors are made from molding with the upper shell.
- the cowling means comprise a flexible skin complementary to an upper shell which partially extends over the lower shell.
- At least one sensor has at least one flat part on which a user's finger can rest.
- the haptic feedback module is able to generate a vibration in the body, the vibration being variable depending on the sensor actuated by the user.
- the equipment belongs to the group comprising a door handle, a dashboard element, a central console, a roof console, an armrest, a steering wheel, an A, B or C pillar, a door cassette, a headrest , a seat element or any other remote control within the passenger compartment of the vehicle such as the trunk, hood or fuel flap openings located for example at the level of the cellar on the driver's foot.
- the invention also relates to a motor vehicle comprising passenger compartment equipment for controlling a function according to one of the aforementioned characteristics.
- FIG.l is a perspective view of a passenger compartment equipment according to a first embodiment of the invention.
- FIG.2 is an exploded perspective view of the equipment shown in Figure 1;
- FIG. 3 is a perspective view of passenger compartment equipment according to a second exemplary embodiment of the invention;
- FIG.4 is a plan view of a passenger compartment equipment according to a third exemplary embodiment of the invention.
- Figures 1 and 2 show passenger compartment equipment of a vehicle according to the invention.
- the equipment is an interior handle 100 which is conventionally found in a door cassette of a vehicle.
- the interior handle 100 has a central body 2 allowing the gripping by a user and two pins 3 allowing the fixing of the handle in a door cassette.
- the handle 100 has a control zone 5 for several functions of the vehicle which constitutes a feature of the invention and which will now be more particularly described.
- FIG. 2 shows in exploded perspective the handle according to the invention.
- the body 2 comprises a lower shell 6 which is preferably made of injected plastic, the fixing pins 3 being molded with the lower shell 6.
- the lower shell 6 is provided with housings which accommodate a printed circuit 7 and a haptic feedback module 10.
- the printed circuit 7 embeds a series of sensors 11.
- the sensors 11 are made of a conductive material which has, at least in part, a surface configured to generate an electrical signal in response to a movement of an object, in particular a finger. 'a user through it.
- Such sensors have in particular been described in patent application WO 2016/206819.
- the conductive material which constitutes the sensors 11 is preferably flexible and can be, for example, a rubber loaded with conductive particles.
- the sensors 11 can preferably be obtained by molding.
- the sensors 11 are thus molded into specific shapes depending on their application, as will be seen.
- the printed circuit 7 receives:
- sensors 111a which are arranged in series along an anterior generatrix of the body 2 of the handle so as to be accessible by several fingers of a user when the latter grasps the handle.
- sensors 111a which are arranged in series along an anterior generatrix of the body 2 of the handle so as to be accessible by several fingers of a user when the latter grasps the handle.
- These are four substantially parallelepipedal elements, the outer face of which (that is to say the face opposite the face for fixing to the printed circuit) has a specific geometry, for example in a cylinder portion;
- a sensor 111b which is arranged on the rear face of the body 2 of the handle so as to be accessible to the index finger of a user when the latter grasps the handle.
- the sensor 111b has an end in the form of a beak, that is to say an end whose section tapers;
- a sensor 111c which is arranged on the front face of the body 2 of the handle so as to be accessible to the thumb of a user when the latter grasps the handle.
- the sensor 111c also has an end in the form of a beak, the end of which tapers.
- the sensors 111b and 111c each form a protuberance on the surface of the body 2.
- the orientation of the spout formed by the sensor 111c is advantageously different from that of the spout formed by the sensor 111b.
- the user can therefore easily distinguish the sensors 111b and 111c only by touching them and without having to look at the control zone 5.
- the handle 100 is also equipped with a sensor 112 which is formed from the same conductive material as that of the sensors 111a, 111b, 111c.
- the sensor 112 may have a disc geometry, that is to say it has a planar face which, as will be seen, serves as a support for the thumb of a user. In the example described, the sensor 112 is positioned substantially in line with one of the fixing axes 3. The sensor 112 operates at least partially in capacitive mode and for this can be provided with capacitive tracks which allows it to detect movements, for example, of fingers on its surface.
- the cowling means which encapsulate the sensors 11 and the haptic feedback module 10 are of two types since a flexible skin 12 covers the sensors 11 and an upper shell 9 in injected plastic material complements the anterior face of the body 2.
- the upper shell forms the whole of the visible front face of the body 2, that is to say that the upper shell covers the sensors 11 and the haptic feedback module 10.
- the sensors 11 can then be produced by molding with the upper shell.
- the sensors 11 which are not visible, consist of at least one block molded in flexible or rigid conductive material and the visible face of the body 2 is preferably molded in flexible material to increase the diversity of the signals. and to link the different tiles of the sensors 11.
- the control zone 5 in which the sensors 11 are placed is therefore sheathed with a flexible skin 12 of silicone material.
- a haptic feedback module 10 can be configured to generate a variable vibration in the body 2 according to the sensor 11 which is actuated by the user, allowing thus for the user to know, without needing to look at the control zone 5, if he presses the correct sensor 11, by receiving the haptic feedback specific to the selected command.
- the upper shell 9 is fixed to the lower shell 6.
- the upper shell 9 which, in the present case, is split into two sub-elements does not cover the series of sensors 11; the sensors 11 are, for their part, covered with a flexible silicone skin 12.
- the visible face for the user of the interior handle 100 is therefore formed by the upper shell 9 (possibly in two parts) of plastic material and by the skin 12 of silicone which materializes the location of the sensors 11 and therefore the control area. 5.
- the set of sensors 11 and the haptic feedback module 10 are connected to an Electronic Control Unit (ECU according to the usual English acronym) of the vehicle which, in a conventional manner, comprises a processor, ROM, EPROM, EEPROM memories and RAM and an I / O interface.
- ECU Electronic Control Unit
- the ECU embeds one or more software.
- the sensors 11 are connected to an ECU, for example, by a CAN bus of the vehicle so that the measured data (variations in resistance of the sensors 11 in response to micro-deformations) are transmitted to one of the ECUs.
- the ECU embeds specific software which processes the data coming from the sensors 11 and, depending on their characteristics, determines what action is to be performed in the vehicle.
- the user grips the body 2 of the handle 100 and places his thumb at the end of the handle 100 above the sensor 112; the pressure that the user's four fingers exert on the body 2 is detected by the sensors 111a and the movement of the user's thumb is detected by the sensor 112.
- the electrical signals detected by the sensors 111a and 112 are transmitted to the ECU.
- an action is transmitted to a screen which is integrated in the passenger compartment of the vehicle in order, for example, to move a pointer on said screen and select a menu displayed on the screen.
- an action is transmitted to the haptic feedback module 10 so that the latter emits a vibration, for example, when selecting a menu on the screen.
- a user can also control the raising and lowering of a window.
- the user grips the body 2 of the handle and places his thumb at the end of the handle on the sensor 111c which forms a protuberance; the pressure that the user's four fingers exert on the body 2 is detected by the sensors 111a and the pressure of the thumb which, in the event that the user seeks to raise or lower a window, is typically continuous and moderate pressure , is detected for sensor 111c.
- the electrical signals created by the deformation of the sensors 111a and 111c are transmitted to the ECU.
- an action is transmitted to the motor housed in the door cassette which causes the up and down of the window and an action is transmitted to the haptic module 10 so that it emits a vibration during the raising or lowering of the window which evokes for the user the taking into account of his request and the execution of this command.
- a user can also control the unlocking of the vehicle doors by means of the handle 100.
- the user grips the body 2 of the handle and places his index finger at the end of the handle on the sensor 111b which forms a protuberance; the pressure that the user's four fingers exert on the body 2 is detected by the sensors 111a and the pressure of the index finger which, in the event that a user seeks to unlock a door is typically intense and brief, is detected to the sensor 111b.
- the electrical signals created by the deformation of the sensors 111a and 111b are transmitted to the ECU.
- an action is transmitted to the motor which causes the unlocking of the door and an action is transmitted to the haptic module 10 so that the latter emits a vibration for example intense and brief which evokes to the user, for example, a linkage mechanism that starts to move.
- This vibration will preferably be different from that emitted during the simultaneous actuation of the sensors 111a and 111c.

Description
boutons rotatifs pour, par exemple, commander le réglage de température du système de climatisation ;
[Fig.l] est une vue en perspective d'un équipement d'habitacle selon un premier exemple de réalisation de l'invention ;
[Fig.2] est une vue en perspective éclatée de l'équipement représenté sur la figure 1 ;
[Fig. 3] est une vue en perspective d'un équipement d'habitacle selon un deuxième exemple de réalisation de l'invention ;
poignée. Il s'agit de quatre éléments sensiblement parallélépipédiques dont la face externe (c'est-à-dire la face opposée à la face de fixation sur le circuit imprimé) présente une géométrie spécifique, par exemple en portion de cylindre;
un capteur 111b qui est disposé sur la face postérieure du corps 2 de la poignée de manière à être accessible à l'index d'un utilisateur lorsque celui-ci saisit la poignée. Le capteur 111b présente une extrémité en forme de bec c'est-à-dire une extrémité dont la section s'amincie ;
