  • the present invention it is possible to provide a flexible laminated body having excellent bending resistance when the front plate side is bent outward and an image display device including the flexible laminated body.
  • the present inventors have been developing a flexible laminate applied to a so-called outfolding type image display device, and have a property of a touch sensor panel main body that it has greater resistance to compressive stress than tensile stress. noticed. Specifically, when the image display device is bent with the front plate side facing outward, by arranging the touch sensor panel body at a position where compressive stress is generated in the flexible laminate, the bending resistance of the image display device against external bending is improved. It was found that the above-mentioned improvement was achieved, and the flexible laminate according to the present embodiment and the image display device including the same were completed.
  • FIG. 1 is a schematic cross-sectional view schematically showing an example of the flexible laminate according to this embodiment.
  • the flexible laminate 100 includes a front plate 10, a first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 20, a circularly polarizing plate 30, a second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 40, and a touch sensor layer (hereinafter, also referred to as “TS layer”) 50 in this order. ..
  • the TS layer 50 includes a touch sensor panel main body 52 and a touch sensor base material 51 arranged on the front plate 10 side of the touch sensor panel main body 52. That is, the flexible laminate 100 includes the front plate 10, the first adhesive layer 20, the circularly polarizing plate 30, the second adhesive layer 40, and the touch sensor base material 51 and the touch sensor panel body 52 as the TS layer 50 from the viewing side.
  • FIG. 1 illustrates an embodiment in which the front plate 10, the circularly polarizing plate 30, and the TS layer 50 are laminated via the adhesive layer
  • the front plate 10, the circularly polarizing plate 30, and the TS layer are illustrated. 50 may be laminated on each other via an adhesive layer.
  • the reason for this is not clear, but it is thought to be due to the following mechanism.
  • the tensile stress or the compressive stress generated in the front plate 10 and the circularly polarizing plate 30, respectively is the first adhesive layer 20 and the second adhesive layer. Since it is canceled by the agent layer 40, it does not affect the TS layer 50.
  • the touch sensor base material 51 is positioned outside the touch sensor panel body 52 in the TS layer 50.
  • the touch sensor base 51 has the touch sensor in the TS layer 50 regardless of the stress generated in the front plate 10 and the circularly polarizing plate 30. It is considered that the tensile stress is generated only based on the factor of being located outside the panel body 52. Further, the touch sensor panel main body 52 receives a compressive stress based on only the factor of being located inside the touch sensor base material 51 in the TS layer 50 regardless of the stress generated in the front plate 10 and the circularly polarizing plate 30. It is thought to occur.
  • the touch sensor panel body 52 having a large resistance to the compressive stress can be positioned so that the compressive stress is generated when the image display device is bent with the front plate 10 side facing outward. Therefore, it is possible to have excellent outer bending flexibility.
  • the layers arranged on the viewing side of the TS layer 50 (for example, the front plate 10, the circularly polarizing plate 30 and the like) have a smaller thickness.
  • the layer arranged on the viewing side of the TS layer 50 has a certain thickness.
  • the flexible laminate 100 Since the flexible laminate 100 has the above-described excellent outer bending flexibility, it can be applied to an image display device (flexible display) that can be bent or wound. Particularly, even when the flexible laminate 100 is applied to an image display device that adopts a so-called outfolding method in which the front plate 10 side is bent outward, the flexible laminate 100 can be excellent in outer bending bending resistance. As will be shown in Examples described later, the flexible laminate 100 can have a limit number of flexing cycles of 200,000 or more in a flexing test in which the image display device is flexed so that the front plate 10 side is the outer side. It is more preferable that the limit number of bending times is 300,000 or more.
  • the “limit number of flexing times” is until cracks, floating of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layers (first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 20, second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 40, etc.), bubbles, etc. occur even once in the bent region of the flexible laminate 100. In addition, it means the number of times that the flexible laminate 100 can be bent.

 <前面板>
