Definitions
- the present invention relates to an orthodontic bracket, and more particularly to a self-ligation type bracket.
- the alignment of teeth is adjusted by giving three-dimensional orthodontic forces such as front, rear, left, right, inclination, and rotation to the tooth you want to move.
- To give a corrective force to a tooth fix the bracket to the tooth, attach a wire or the like between the reference tooth bracket and the tooth bracket to be moved, and tighten the wire.
- the correction force is applied in a desired direction by adjusting the wire arrangement and tightening method.
- the bracket has slots for attaching wires.
- the wire is ligated with rubber or the like in a state of being attached to the slot, and is fixed to the bracket so as not to shift.
- a type of bracket there is also a self-ligation type that does not require ligation with rubber or the like.
- a shutter is provided at the opening of the slot to which the wire is attached so that it can be opened and closed. By closing the shutter with the wire attached, the opening of the slot is closed to prevent the wire from coming off.
- opening the shutter opens the opening so that the wire can be easily removed and replaced (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 to 4).
- a slot for attaching a wire a bracket main body having an introduction port connected to the slot, and a shutter provided so as to be capable of advancing and retracting between the slot and the introduction port of the bracket main body
- the bracket body has an outer guide wall forming the slot and the introduction port, a shutter is inserted into a through hole provided in the outer guide wall, and the shutter closes the shutter to cover the slot.
- the tip portion of the shutter protrudes from the through hole to the slot side, the tip portion is provided for orthodontics provided so as to be displaced in the first direction from the introduction port side toward the slot side.
- Brackets have also been proposed (see Patent Document 5, for example).
- the self-ligation type has a small frictional force between the wire attached to the slot and the bracket, and can move teeth with a weak orthodontic force.
- Patent Document 5 the structure of the bracket tends to be complicated.
- the shutter since the shutter is opened and closed in the attaching/detaching direction of the bracket wire, there is a risk that the shutter will open when a strong force is applied to the wire. Therefore, it is necessary to arrange and rearrange the brackets in consideration of the force applied to the wire, which is a factor of complicated operation.
- An object of the present invention is to provide a bracket for orthodontics, which is a self-ligation type and which can open and close and fix a shutter reliably with a simple structure.
- One embodiment of the present invention is an orthodontic bracket, which is provided with a bracket body having a slot for attaching a wire and an introduction port connected to the slot, and a retractable body between the slot and the introduction port. And a stopper wire attached to the bracket body to prevent the shutter from coming off.
- the stopper wire has elasticity. Both ends of the stopper wire are held by the bracket body.
- the central portion of the stopper wire is arranged at a position that blocks a path (advancing/retracting path) in the opening direction of the shutter when the shutter is closed.
- the stopper wire prevents the shutter from opening because the central portion of the stopper wire is located at a position that blocks the path (advancing/retracting path) in the opening direction of the shutter when the shutter is closed. You can Further, when the shutter is opened, the central portion is removed from the forward/backward movement path of the shutter by the elasticity of the stopper wire, so that the shutter can be opened without being disturbed by the stopper wire. Furthermore, since the forward/backward direction of the shutter is substantially orthogonal to the insertion direction of the wire inserted into the slot of the bracket, the closed shutter will not open even if a strong force is applied to the wire.
- the center portion of the stopper wire may be provided so as to press the end portion of the shutter by the elasticity of the stopper wire. With this, in the state where the shutter is closed, the end portion of the shutter can be pressed by the central portion of the stopper wire to more firmly close the shutter.
- the central portion of the stopper wire is provided so as to retreat from the forward/backward movement path of the shutter and contact the shutter while the shutter is open. Accordingly, when the shutter is opened, the central portion of the stopper wire comes into contact with the shutter to give a resistance to the operation of the shutter, and the detachment of the shutter from the bracket body can be suppressed.
- the bracket body has a slot and an inlet, and has an inner guide wall and an outer guide wall facing each other, and the outer guide wall has a through hole into which the shutter is inserted, and the shutter has a through hole.
- a detachment preventing unit may be provided to prevent the shutter from detaching from the through hole when the shutter inserted in the hole is opened.
- the detachment preventing unit can prevent the shutter from detaching, and the workability can be improved.
- One embodiment of the present invention is an orthodontic bracket, which has a first slot for attaching a first wire, a first introduction port connected to the first slot, and a second slot for attaching a second wire.
- a bracket main body having a second introduction port connected to the second slot, a first shutter provided between the first slot and the first introduction port so as to be able to move forward and backward, a second slot and a second introduction port.
- a stopper wire that is attached to the bracket body and that prevents the first shutter and the second shutter from coming off.
- a path in the opening direction of the first shutter (advancing/retreating path) and a path in the opening direction of the second shutter (advancing/retreating path) are provided so as to intersect each other in the intersecting region.
- the stopper wire has elasticity. Both ends of the stopper wire are held by the bracket body.
- the central portion of the stopper wire is arranged in the intersecting region with the first shutter and the second shutter closed.
- the central portion of the stopper wire is located in the intersecting area in the opening direction of the first shutter and the second shutter. Since the stopper wires are arranged, it is possible to prevent the opening of the two shutters, the first shutter and the second shutter, by one stopper wire. Further, when opening the first shutter and the second shutter, the elasticity of the stopper wire removes the central portion from the intersecting region, so that the first shutter and the second shutter can be opened without being obstructed by the stopper wire.
- the self-ligation type it is possible to provide an orthodontic bracket that can open/close and fix the shutter with a simple structure.

- FIG. 1A and 1B are schematic views illustrating the configuration of the bracket according to the present embodiment.
- 1A is a perspective view of the bracket 1
- FIG. 1B is a side view of the bracket 1.
- the bracket 1 according to the present embodiment is an orthodontic appliance that is attached to the front side or back side (lingual side) of a tooth.
- a wire W for applying a correction force to the teeth is attached to the bracket 1.
- the bracket 1 according to the present embodiment is a self-ligation type that can fix the wire W to the bracket 1 without using a ligature such as rubber.
- the bracket 1 includes a bracket body 10, a shutter 20, and a stopper wire 30.
- the bracket body 10 has a slot 101 for attaching the wire W and an introduction port 102 connected to the slot 101.
- the direction connecting the slot 101 and the inlet 102 is one of the first direction D1 and the direction orthogonal to the first direction D1 (
- a direction orthogonal to the second direction D2, the first direction D1, and the second direction D2 (also referred to as a length direction of the slot 101) (also referred to as a width direction of the slot 101) is referred to as a third direction D3.
- the bracket body 10 has an outer guide wall 11 that constitutes the slot 101 and the inlet 102, and an inner guide wall 12 that faces the outer guide wall 11.
- a slot 101 and an inlet 102 are provided between the outer guide wall 11 and the inner guide wall 12.
- the cross-sectional shape of the slot 101 as viewed in the second direction D2 is, for example, rectangular.
- a bottom portion 13 is provided between the outer guide wall 11 and the inner guide wall 12 to form the bottom of the slot 101.
- the direction of the inlet 102 communicating with the slot 101 is preferably oriented toward the tip side of the tooth when the bracket 1 is attached to the tooth.
- the introduction port 102 faces the tip side of the tooth, so that it is easy to secure a space for inserting the wire W into the slot 101. If the wire W is inserted from the tip side of the tooth, the wire W is not easily affected by the tooth row, and the wire W can be easily inserted into the slot 101.
- the direction of the inlet 102 may be a direction orthogonal to the tooth extending direction.
- the outer guide wall 11 and the inner guide wall 12 may be provided with hooks F as needed. Even in the self-ligation type bracket 1, a ligature tool such as rubber may be hung on the hook F, or rubber or another device may be attached to the hook F to give a correction force other than the wire W. Good.
- the bracket 1 may include a base portion 40.
- the base portion 40 is a member for fixing the bracket body 10 to the teeth at a predetermined angle.
- a tooth attachment surface 40a is provided on one side (leftward in the direction D3 in FIG. 1B) of the base portion 40.
- the bracket body 10 is provided on the other side (rightward in the direction D3 in FIG. 1B) of the base portion 40.
- the mounting surface 40a of the base portion 40 is provided at an arbitrary angle with respect to the first direction D1. Accordingly, when the bracket 1 is attached to the teeth, the bracket 1 can be arranged so that the depth direction (first direction D1) of the slot 101 is in a desired direction (vertical direction or the like).
- bracket 1 as a material having excellent biocompatibility, for example, titanium-based materials such as pure titanium and titanium alloy, or stainless alloy is used.
- the bracket main body 10 and the base portion 40 may be integrally provided by using such a material, or the bracket main body 10 and the base portion 40 may be separated and connected to each other at a predetermined angle. ..
- the shutter 20 is provided between the slot 101 of the bracket body 10 and the inlet 102 so as to be able to move forward and backward. That is, the shutter 20 is inserted into the through hole 111 provided in the outer guide wall 11, and can be taken in and out through the through hole 111.
- the tip 21 of the shutter 20 projects from the through hole 111 toward the slot 101, and then the tip 21 is fitted into the recess 121 provided in the inner guide wall 12.
- the forward/backward direction of the shutter 20 is the third direction D3, which is orthogonal to the first direction D1 that is the direction in which the wire W is inserted into the slot 101. Therefore, even when a strong force is applied to the wire W in a state where the wire W is inserted into the slot 101 and the shutter 20 is closed, the closed shutter 20 does not open.
- the stopper wire 30 is a wire member having elasticity.
- the stopper wire 30 is provided by bending a wire member into a predetermined shape. It is preferable to use a shape memory alloy having excellent elasticity for the stopper wire 30. This allows the stopper wire 30 to have sufficient elasticity. Moreover, even if the stopper wire 30 is deformed when it is attached, the shape of the stopper wire 30 is restored by the temperature in the oral cavity after the attachment, so that the stopper wire 30 can be securely attached.
- the stopper wire 30 is bent from the both ends 31 to the central part 32 so as to avoid the wire W.
- the central portion 32 is provided so as to be bent upward again from the both end portions 31 via the lower side of the wire W, and located near the rear end 22a of the shutter 20.
- Both ends 31 of the stopper wire 30 are inserted or fitted into the tubular portion 105 provided in the bracket body 10 and fixed to the bracket body 10.
- the central portion 32 of the stopper wire 30 is arranged at a position that blocks a path in the opening direction of the shutter 20 (hereinafter, also referred to as “advancing/retreating path”) when the shutter 20 is closed. Accordingly, when the shutter 20 is closed, the central portion 32 of the stopper wire 30 functions as a stopper of the shutter 20 and prevents the shutter 20 from falling off.
- the central portion 32 of the stopper wire 30 may be provided so as to press the rear end 22a of the shutter 20 by the elasticity of the stopper wire 30. This allows the central portion 32 of the stopper wire 30 to press the rear end 22a of the shutter 20 while the shutter 20 is closed, so that the shutter 20 can be more firmly closed.
- the shape of the stopper wire 30 is deformed in advance so that the central portion 32 is separated from the rear end 22a, and after the shutter 20 is closed, the stopper wire is changed by the temperature in the oral cavity.
- the shape of 30 may be restored so that the central portion 32 presses the rear end 22a.
- FIG. 2A are side views illustrating the operation of the shutter.
- the shutter 20 is opened.
- the central portion 32 of the stopper wire 30 is pushed down to remove it from the forward/backward movement path of the shutter 20. Since the central portion 32 is located in the vicinity of the rear end 22a of the shutter 20 by the elastic force of the stopper wire 30, the central portion 32 can be removed from the advancing/retreating path by pushing down against the elastic force.
- the stopper function is released when the central portion 32 is disengaged from the advance/retreat path, and the shutter 20 can be opened.
- the wire W is inserted into the slot 101 from the inlet 102 with the shutter 20 opened and the slot 101 and the inlet 102 communicating with each other.
- the shutter 20 is closed. Since the central portion 32 is in contact with the lower surface of the shutter 20 even when the shutter 20 is closed, it is possible to give an appropriate sense of resistance and stability to the operation of the shutter 20.
- the tip 21 of the shutter 20 fits into the recess 121 of the inner guide wall 12.
- the central portion 32 is pushed up by the elastic force of the stopper wire 30 and returns to the original position.
- the stopper function of the central portion 32 is restored, and the shutter 20 can be fixed in the closed state.
- the shutter 20 can be opened and closed by a simple operation such as sliding the shutter 20 through the through hole 111 and inserting/removing the tip portion 21 into/from the recess 121.
- the stopper wire 30 can fix the shutter 20 and give a proper sense of resistance and stability during the opening/closing operation, and the detachment of the shutter 20 can be suppressed.
- the forward/backward direction (third direction D3) of the shutter 20 is orthogonal to the insertion direction (first direction D1) of the wire W inserted in the slot 101, the wire W is inserted and the shutter 20 is closed. Even if a strong force is applied to the wire W, the closed shutter 20 will not open. Therefore, there is no need to dispose or rearrange the brackets 1 due to the concern that the shutter 20 will open due to the force applied to the wire W, and the treatment time and patient burden can be reduced.
- 3A and 3B are perspective views showing an example of the detachment preventing means.
- 3A shows a state where the shutter 20 is closed
- FIG. 3B shows a state where the shutter 20 is opened.
- 4A and 4B are side views showing an example of the detachment preventing means. 4A shows a state in which the shutter 20 is closed
- FIG. 4B shows a state in which the shutter 20 is open.
- the protrusion 25 is used as the detachment preventing means.
- the protrusion 25 is provided on the tip portion 21 of the shutter 20, and plays a role of preventing the shutter 20 from being detached from the through hole 111 when the shutter 20 inserted into the through hole 111 is opened.
- the protrusion 25 is provided in a triangular prism shape extending in the second direction D2.
- the opening size of the through hole 111 is such that the shutter 20 including the protrusion 25 can be inserted. This allows the shutter 20 to be inserted into the through hole 111 even if the projection 25 is provided on the tip portion 21 of the shutter 20.
- the size of the recess 121 of the inner guide wall 12 is such that the shutter 20 including the protrusion 25 can be inserted. Accordingly, even if the tip portion 21 of the shutter 20 is provided with the protrusion 25, the tip portion 21 of the shutter 20 can be inserted into the recess 121.
- the opening size of the through hole 111 is set so that the shutter 20 can be moved forward and backward and the protrusion 25 cannot pass through. Accordingly, when the shutter 20 is opened, the protrusion 25 is caught at the position of the through hole 111 without hindering the forward/backward movement of the shutter 20 inserted into the through hole 111, and the shutter 20 is prevented from opening further, and the shutter 20 is opened. The detachment of 20 can be prevented.
- a recess 27 may be provided on the surface of the shutter 20 on the inlet 102 side.
- the opening/closing operation of the shutter 20 can be facilitated.
- the shutter 20 provided with the protruding portion 25 detachment when the shutter 20 is opened is prevented, so that even when the tip of the pick is hooked in the recess 27 and pulled strongly, the shutter 20 is detached. You can do it without worrying.
- the shape of the projection 25 described above is not limited to the triangular prism shape, and may be another shape such as a square prism shape or a hemispherical shape.
- the length of the protrusion 25 in the second direction D2 may be equal to the length of the shutter 20 in the second direction D2.
- the opening size of the recess 121 does not necessarily have to be a size into which the shutter 20 including the protrusion 25 can be inserted.
- the opening size of the recess 121 may be set so that only the tip 21 of the shutter 20 can be inserted.
- FIG. 5 is a side view showing an example of another desorption preventing means.
- a member (stop member 115) that closes a part of the through hole 111 may be attached to the end of the outer guide wall 11 in the third direction D3.
- An example of a method of attaching the stopper member 115 is electric welding.
- a stopper member 115 is attached so as to block a part of the through hole 111.
- FIG. 6 is a side view illustrating another type of bracket.
- This bracket 1B is applied to, for example, the upper jaw anterior tooth, and the angle in the opening/closing direction of the shutter 20 with respect to the base portion 40 becomes an acute angle as compared with the bracket 1 (FIGS. 1 and 2) described above. ing. Therefore, when the bracket 1B is used, the wire W can be inserted from the occlusal surface side (lingual side), that is, the first direction D1 in FIG. 6, and the wire W can be easily inserted.
- the wire W must be inserted into the slot 101 from the third direction D3 in FIG. This means that the wire W is inserted from the side of the neck of the tooth, and the workability is extremely low.
- bracket 1 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 facilitates the insertion of the wire W.
- the shutter 20 corresponding to various tooth shapes is prepared. It is possible to easily perform the opening/closing operation and to configure a bracket into which the wire W can be vertically inserted.
- FIG. 7A and FIG. 7B are diagrams illustrating a bracket corresponding to two wires.
- FIG. 7A shows a perspective view of the bracket 1C
- FIG. 7B shows a side view of the bracket 1C.
- the bracket 1C has a plurality of slots.
- two slots a first slot 101A and a second slot 101B, are provided.
- the depth direction of the first slot 101A is the first direction D1
- the depth direction of the second slot 101B is the third direction D3.
- the first slot 102A is connected to the first slot 101A
- the second slot 102B is connected to the second slot 102B.
- a first shutter 20A is openably and closably provided between the first slot 101A and the first inlet 102A
- a second shutter 20B is openably and closably provided between the second slot 101B and the second inlet 102B.
- the first shutter 20A opens and closes in the third direction D3, and the second shutter 20B opens and closes in the first direction D1.
- the path in the opening direction of the first shutter 20A (advancing/retreating path) and the path in the opening direction of the second shutter 20B (advancing/retreating path) intersect each other in the intersection area CA.
- both ends 31 of the stopper wire 30 are retained in the bracket body 10 by being inserted or fitted in the tubular portion 105.
- the first central portion 321 and the second central portion 322 of the stopper wire 30 are arranged in the intersection area CA with the first shutter 20A and the second shutter 20B closed.
- the stopper wire 30 is provided so as to be curved from both ends 31 toward the center so as not to interfere with the first wire W1 and the second wire W2.
- the central portion of the stopper wire 30 is provided so as to be curved in a substantially M shape when viewed in the third direction D3. That is, the central portion 32 of the stopper wire 30 has one convex first central portion 321 and two convex second central portions 322 provided on both sides of the first central portion 321.
- the first central portion 321 of the stopper wire 30 is curved so as to be convex toward the rear end 22a of the second shutter 20B, and the second central portion 322 is opposite to the first central portion 321, that is, the first shutter 20A. It is curved so as to be convex toward the rear end 22a.
- the stopper wire 30 holds the rear end 22a of the second shutter 20B with one convex first central portion 321 and the rear end of the first shutter 20A with two convex second central portions 322. It comes to hold down 22a.
- the rear end 22a of the second shutter 20B with which the first central portion 321 abuts is processed into a surface inclined at a predetermined angle in order to easily receive the elastic force (pressing force) from the first central portion 321.
- the elastic force pressing force
- the first wire W1 can be attached to the first slot 101A and the second wire W2 can be attached to the second slot 101B.

- the opening of the first slot 101A faces the tip side of the tooth
- the opening of the second slot 101B faces the front side or the back side of the tooth. That is, the insertion directions of the first wire W1 and the second wire W2 into the slots are orthogonal to each other. Accordingly, the opening and closing directions of the first shutter 20A and the second shutter 20B are also orthogonal to each other. Even when the positions of the first slot 101A and the second slot 101B are close to each other, if one shutter is closed, the other shutter can be opened and closed.
- the first central portion 321 and the second central portion 322 of the stopper wire 30 are arranged in the intersection area CA with the first shutter 20A and the second shutter 20B closed. Therefore, the two shutters of the first shutter 20A and the second shutter 20B can be reliably fixed by the single stopper wire 30.
- FIG. 8A to 9B are side views illustrating the operation of the two shutters.
- the first shutter 20A is opened.
- the first central portion 321 and the second central portion 322 of the stopper wire 30 are pushed down to be removed from the advance/retreat path of the first shutter 20A.
- the stopper function is released and the first shutter 20A can be opened.
- the second central portion 322 comes into contact with the lower surface of the first shutter 20A, so that an appropriate sense of resistance and stability can be given to the operation of the first shutter 20A.
- the first wire W1 is inserted from the first introduction port 102A into the first slot 101A.
- the stopper wire 30 since the portions where the first central portion 321 and the second central portion 322 are provided are subjected to bending processing, these portions are the portions between the both end portions 31 (straight portion). It is relatively hard compared to the part that has not undergone bending. Therefore, when the first shutter 20A is opened, the relatively soft linear portion can be preferentially deformed. In this way, by adjusting the position of the bent portion of the stopper wire 30, it is possible to guide the place where the stopper wire 30 bends to a predetermined place when opening the shutters (first shutter 20A, second shutter 20B). ..
- the first shutter 20A is closed.
- the tip 21 of the first shutter 20A fits into the first recess 121A.
- the elastic force of the stopper wire 30 pushes up the first central portion 321 and the second central portion 322, and the original Return to position.
- the stopper function of the second central portion 322 is restored, and the first shutter 20A can be fixed in the closed state.
- the second shutter 20B is opened.
- the first central portion 321 and the second central portion 322 of the stopper wire 30 are pulled so as to open in the third direction D3, so that the second shutter 20B is removed from the forward/backward path.
- the stopper function is released when the first central portion 321 moves out of the forward/backward path, and the second shutter 20B can be opened.
- the second central portion 322 comes into contact with the lower surface of the second shutter 20B, so that an appropriate sense of resistance and stability can be given to the operation of the second shutter 20B.

Abstract
