 しかしながら、特許文献1に開示されている技術では、人が在室しているか否か、室内において動作しているか静止しているか、を分類できるが、室内における場所の推定まではできなく、また、室内でどのような行動をしているかまでは推定できない。
 また、カメラ等の撮像装置を用いて対象者を撮像し、撮像することで生成した画像を解析することで、対象者の行動を推定することは可能であるが、撮像することは、プライバシーの観点から利用が困難となる場合がある。
 本発明は、撮像せずに対象者の位置及び行動を精度良く推定できる推定システム等を提供する。

 以下、本発明の実施の形態について、図面を参照しながら説明する。なお、以下で説明する実施の形態は、いずれも包括的又は具体的な例を示すものである。以下の実施の形態で示される数値、形状、材料、構成要素、構成要素の配置位置及び接続形態、ステップ、ステップの順序等は、一例であり、本発明を限定する主旨ではない。また、以下の実施の形態における構成要素のうち、最上位概念を示す独立請求項に記載されていない構成要素については、任意の構成要素として説明される。
 なお、各図は模式図であり、必ずしも厳密に図示されたものではない。また、各図において、実質的に同一の構成に対しては同一の符号を付しており、重複する説明は省略又は簡略化される場合がある。
 また、以下の説明において、「閾値以上」、「閾値以下」等と記載をする場合があるが、厳密な意味で記載するものではない。例えば、「閾値以上」と記載する場合においては、閾値よりも大きいことを意味してもよい。また、「閾値以上」、「閾値未満」と対比して記載する場合に、当該基準値を境に区別されることを意味し、それぞれ、「閾値より大きい」、「閾値以下」であることを意味してもよい。
 (実施の形態1)
 [推定システムの構成]
 まず、図1及び図2を参照して、実施の形態1に係る推定システムの構成に関して説明する。
 図1は、実施の形態1に係る推定システム200の構成を示す図である。
 推定システム200は、部屋R内にいる対象者の活動量を検出することにより、対象者の位置及び行動を推定する装置である。具体的には、推定システム200は、部屋R内(言い換えると、室内)全体の対象者の活動量と、室内に設置されたベッドB上での対象者の活動量とから、対象者の位置及び行動を精度良く推定する。推定システム200は、例えば、高齢者等の介護を必要とする被介護者が生活する部屋Rにおける、当該被介護者の行動を推定するための装置である。
 推定システム200は、第1センサ210と、第2センサ211と、推定装置100と、報知装置220とを備える。
 第1センサ210は、室内全体の対象者の活動量を検出するセンサである。第1センサ210は、例えば、ドップラー式の電波センサ、赤外線センサ等である。第1センサ210は、第1センサ210が電波センサである場合、第1活動量として、電波強度を検出する。また、第1センサ210は、対象者のプライバシー保護の観点から、画像を生成するカメラ等の撮像装置が備えるCCD(Charge Coupled Device)、CMOS(Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor)等の2次元イメージセンサを除くセンサである。第1センサ210は、室内での対象者の活動量である第1活動量を検出し、検出した第1活動量を推定装置100へ送信する。
 第2センサ211は、ベッドB上の対象者の活動量を検出するセンサである。第2センサ211は、例えば、24GHz程度の電波を用いるドップラー式の電波センサ、赤外線センサ等である。図1には、ベッドB上に配置されるシート状に形成されている第2センサ211である電波センサを示している。第2センサ211は、第2センサ211が電波センサである場合、第2活動量として、電波強度を検出する。また、第2センサ211は、対象者のプライバシー保護の観点から、画像を生成するカメラ等の撮像装置が備えるCCD、CMOS等の2次元イメージセンサを除くセンサである。第2センサ211は、室内に位置するベッドB上での対象者の活動量である第2活動量を検出し、検出した第2活動量を推定装置100へ送信する。
 推定装置100は、第1センサ210が検出した第1活動量、及び、第2センサ211が検出した第2活動量に基づいて、室内と関連した位置における、対象者の位置及び行動の少なくとも一方を推定して、推定した推定結果を出力する装置である。推定装置100は、推定した推定結果を音情報、画像情報等の情報として報知装置220へ出力する。推定装置100は、例えば、パーソナルコンピュータであるが、サーバ装置であってもよい。
 報知装置220は、推定装置100が出力した推定結果を取得し、取得した推定結果を、対象者を介護する介護者、対象者の担当の医師等に報知する装置である。具体的には、報知装置220は、取得した推定結果が示す音情報、画像情報等の情報に基づいて音、画像等を出力する。報知装置220は、音、画像等を出力できればよく、例えば、スピーカ、アンプ、ディスプレイ等の装置である。
 第1センサ210は、例えば、部屋R内全体における、対象者の活動量を測定可能な位置に設置され、第2センサ211は、例えば、ベッドB上における、対象者の活動量を測定可能な位置に設置される。また、推定装置100は、部屋Rに設置されてもよいし、介護者が生活、活動等する居室に設置されてもよい。また、報知装置220は、例えば、介護者が生活、活動等する居室に設置される。
 図2は、実施の形態1に係る推定システム200の特徴的な機能構成を示すブロック図である。
 上記の通り、推定システム200は、第1センサ210と、第2センサ211と、推定装置100と、報知装置220と、を備える。推定装置100は、機能的には、活動量取得部110と、推定部120と、推定結果出力部130と、閾値記憶部140とを備える。
 活動量取得部110は、第1センサ210及び第2センサ211と通信可能に接続され、第1センサ210から第1活動量を取得し、且つ、第2センサ211から第2活動量を取得する。活動量取得部110は、例えば、有線通信又は無線通信を行うためのアダプタ、通信回路等の通信インターフェースである。なお、活動量取得部110は、第1センサ210及び第2センサ211のそれぞれと通信するために、通信インターフェースを複数備えてもよい。
 推定部120は、活動量取得部110が取得した第1活動量及び第2活動量から、室内と関連した位置における、対象者の位置及び行動の少なくとも一方を推定する。具体的には、第1センサ210及び第2センサ211が電波センサである場合、推定部120は、第1センサ210が第1活動量として検出して活動量取得部110が取得した電波強度を示す第1電波強度と、第2センサ211が第2活動量として検出して活動量取得部110が取得した電波強度を示す第2電波強度とから、対象者が、(i)室内に不在であるか(つまり、部屋Rの外(言い換えると、室外)にいるか)、(ii)ベッドB上にいるか、(iii)ベッドB上以外の室内にいるか、及び、(iv)ベッドBからの離床動作及びベッドBへの着床動作を含む特徴的動作をしているか、のいずれであるかを推定する。より具体的には、推定部120は、(i)第1電波強度が第1閾値未満であり、且つ、第2電波強度が第2閾値未満である場合、対象者が室内に不在であると推定し、(ii)第1電波強度が第1閾値以上であり、且つ、第2電波強度が第2閾値未満である場合、対象者がベッドB上以外の室内にいると推定し、(iii)第1電波強度が第1閾値未満であり、且つ、第2電波強度が第2閾値以上である場合、対象者がベッドB上にいると推定し、(iv)第1電波強度が第1閾値以上であり、且つ、第2電波強度が第2閾値以上である場合、対象者が特徴的動作をしていると推定する。第1閾値及び第2閾値は、第1センサ210及び第2センサ211の電波検出精度等から予め定められる定数であり、例えば、閾値記憶部140に閾値データ141として記憶されている。
 推定部120は、例えば、閾値記憶部140に閾値データ141と共に記憶されている制御プログラムと、当該制御プログラムを実行するCPU(Central Processing Unit)とによって、ソフトウェア的に実現される。また、推定部120は、専用回路等によってハードウェア的に実現されてもよい。
 推定結果出力部130は、推定部120が推定した推定結果を出力する。実施の形態1では、推定結果出力部130は、推定部120が推定した推定結果を報知装置220へ出力する。推定結果出力部130は、例えば、有線通信又は無線通信を行うためのアダプタ、通信回路等の通信インターフェースである。
 閾値記憶部140は、推定部120が対象者の位置及び行動の少なくとも一方を推定するための閾値データ141を記憶するメモリである。閾値記憶部140は、例えば、ROM(Read Only Memory)、RAM(Random Access Memory)等のメモリであり、HDD(Hard Disk Drive)、フラッシュメモリ等で構成される。
 [推定システムの処理手順]
 続いて、図3を参照して、実施の形態1に係る推定システム200が実行する、対象者の位置及び行動の推定方法の詳細について説明する。
 なお、以下では、第1センサ210及び第2センサ211が電波センサである場合について説明する。
 図3は、実施の形態1に係る推定システム200が対象者の位置及び行動の少なくとも一方を推定する手順を示すフローチャートである。
 まず、活動量取得部110は、第1センサ210が検出した対象者の第1活動量を示す第1電波強度を取得する(ステップS101)。
 次に、推定部120は、活動量取得部110が取得した第1電波強度が、閾値データ141が示す第1閾値以上であるか否かを判定する(ステップS102)。
 活動量取得部110は、推定部120が、活動量取得部110が取得した第1電波強度が、閾値データ141が示す第1閾値以上であると判定した場合(ステップS102でYes)、第2センサ211が検出した対象者の第2活動量を示す第2電波強度を取得する(ステップS103)。
 次に、推定部120は、活動量取得部110が取得した第2電波強度が、閾値データ141が示す第2閾値以上であるか否かを判定する(ステップS104)。
 推定部120は、活動量取得部110が取得した第2電波強度が、閾値データ141が示す第2閾値以上であると判定した場合(ステップS104でYes)、対象者が特徴的動作をしていると推定する(ステップS105)。
 一方、推定部120は、活動量取得部110が取得した第2電波強度が、閾値データ141が示す第2閾値未満であると判定した場合(ステップS104でNo)、ベッドB上以外で室内にいると推定する(ステップS106)。
 また、活動量取得部110は、推定部120が、活動量取得部110が取得した第1電波強度が、閾値データ141が示す第1閾値未満であると判定した場合(ステップS102でNo)、第2センサ211が検出した対象者の第2活動量を示す第2電波強度を取得する(ステップS107)。
 次に、推定部120は、活動量取得部110が取得した第2電波強度が、閾値データ141が示す第2閾値以上であるか否かを判定する(ステップS108)。
 推定部120は、活動量取得部110が取得した第2電波強度が、閾値データ141が示す第2閾値以上であると判定した場合(ステップS108でYes)、対象者がベッドB上で静止していると推定する(ステップS109)。
 一方、推定部120は、活動量取得部110が取得した第2電波強度が、閾値データ141が示す第2閾値未満であると判定した場合(ステップS108でNo)、室外にいると推定する(ステップS110)。
 最後に、推定結果出力部130は、ステップS105、ステップS106、ステップS109、又は、ステップS110で推定部120が推定した推定結果を、例えば、報知装置220へ出力する(ステップS111)。
 [推定システムの実施例]
 続いて、図4~図6を参照して、実施の形態1に係る推定システム200が実行した、対象者の位置及び行動の少なくとも一方を推定する処理の詳細について説明する。
 図4は、第1センサ210及び第2センサ211で検出される電波強度の変化の一例を示す図である。具体的には、図4の(a)は、第1センサ210が検出した電波強度の時間変化を示すグラフであり、図4の(b)は、第2センサ211が検出した電波強度の時間変化を示すグラフである。なお、図4の(a)及び(b)に示すグラフの横軸は、時刻であり、それぞれのグラフが示す横軸の時刻は、同一の時刻を示す。具体的には、図4の(a)及び(b)に示すグラフのそれぞれの時刻における同一の時刻を、一点鎖線で示している。
 初めに、対象者を、室外に位置させた。この場合、第1センサ210及び第2センサ211は、ほとんど反応せず、第1センサ210が検出した第1電波強度は、第1閾値未満であり、第2センサ211が検出した第2電波強度は、第2閾値未満であることが分かる。
 次に、対象者を、室外から室内へ移動させた。このとき、第1センサ210は、第1閾値以上の第1電波強度を検出していることが分かる。一方、第2センサ211は、第2閾値以上の第2電波強度をほとんど検出していないことが分かる。
 次に、対象者に、ベッドB上に移動する着床動作を実行させた。このとき、第1センサ210は、第1閾値以上の電波強度を検出し、第2センサ211は、第2閾値以上の電波強度を検出していることが分かる。これは、対象者が室内を移動しており、且つ、ベッドB上で大きく動作(つまり、行動)しているために、第1センサ210及び第2センサ211のいずれも閾値より大きい電波を検出したことを意味する。つまり、後述する図5A及び図5Bに示すラベルの17のように、対象者に、ベッドB上から室内へ移動する離床動作を実行させた場合も同様に、第1センサ210が第1閾値以上の電波強度を検出し、第2センサ211が第2閾値以上の電波強度を検出する(図5A及び図5Bに示すラベルの17参照)。
 次に、対象者を、ベッドB上で静止させた。このとき、第1センサ210は、第1閾値未満の第1電波強度を検出し、第2センサ211は、第2閾値以上の第2電波強度を検出していることが分かる。
 次に、対象者に、ベッドB上で横に寝返る動作を実行させた。このとき、第1センサ210は、第1閾値以上の第1電波強度を検出し、第2センサ211は、第2閾値以上の第2電波強度を検出していることが分かる。
 これらのように、第1センサ210が検出した第1電波強度が第1閾値以上か否かと、第2センサ211が検出した第2電波強度が第2閾値以上か否かとにより、対象者の位置及び行動が推定できることが分かる。
 図5Aは、対象者の所定の行動に対して、第1センサ210及び第2センサ211で検出される電波強度をプロットした実験結果を示す図である。図5Bは、図5Aに示すプロットの定義を説明するためのテーブルを示す図である。なお、図5Aに示す各プロットは、2名の対象者に、図5B示す行動を実行させた場合における、第1センサ210が検出した第1電波強度の平均値と、第2センサ211が検出した第2電波強度の平均値とを示す。図5Aのグラフ内の各プロットの近傍に示す数字は、図5Bに示すラベルの数字に対応している。例えば、図5Aに示す「14」のプロットは、図5Bの「ラベル」の14に示すように、2名の対象者それぞれに対象者にベッドB上で起き上がる動作をさせた場合における、第1電波強度の2名の平均値と第2電波強度の2名の平均値を示す。
 図6は、実施の形態1に係る推定システム200が対象者の位置及び行動を推定する際に用いる閾値を説明するための図である。
 図5A及び図5Bに示す実験結果から、第1電波強度及び第2電波強度から、対象者の位置及び行動の少なくとも一方を推定できることが分かる。具体的には、図6に示すように、例えば、横軸を第1電波強度とし、縦軸を第2電波強度とするグラフにおいて、第1閾値と第2閾値とを定めた場合に、第1閾値と第2閾値とにより定められる4つの象限のうちのいずれの象限に図5Aに示すプロットが位置するかによって、対象者の位置及び行動の少なくとも一方が推定できる。4つの象限の1つは、対象者が室外にいることを示し、別の1つは、対象者がベッドB上以外の室内にいることを示し、さらに別の1つは、対象者がベッドB上で静止していることを示し、さらに別の1つは、対象者が特徴的動作をしていることを示す。つまり、推定部120は、第1センサ210が検出した第1活動量と、第2センサ211が検出した第2活動量とに基づいて、対象者の位置及び行動の少なくとも一方を推定できる。
 [効果等]
 以上、実施の形態1に係る推定システム200は、室内での対象者の活動量である第1活動量を検出する第1センサ210と、室内に位置するベッドB上での対象者の活動量である第2活動量を検出する第2センサ211と、第1センサ210が検出した第1活動量、及び、第2センサ211が検出した第2活動量に基づいて、室内と関連した位置における、対象者の位置及び行動の少なくとも一方を推定して、推定した推定結果を出力する推定装置100と、を備える。また、第1センサ210及び第2センサ211は、2次元イメージセンサを除くセンサである。
 このような構成によれば、画像を用いずに、室内と関連した位置における、対象者の位置及び行動の少なくとも一方を精度良く推定することができる。そのため、推定システム200によれば、対象者のプライバシーを保護しつつ、且つ、対象者の位置及び行動の少なくとも一方を精度良く推定することができる。
 例えば、第1センサ210及び第2センサ211は、電波センサである。
 電波センサによれば、室内全体の対象者の動きを簡便に検出することが可能であるし、また、ベッドB上等の特定した位置を対象者の動きを検出することができる。つまり、電波センサによれば、簡便に、対象者の所望の位置における活動量を精度良く検出することができる。
 また、例えば、推定装置100は、第1センサ210が第1活動量として検出した第1電波強度と、第2センサ211が第2活動量として検出した第2電波強度とから、対象者が、(i)室内に不在であるか、(ii)ベッドB上にいるか、(iii)ベッドB上以外の室内にいるか、及び、(iv)ベッドBからの離床動作及びベッドBへの着床動作を含む特徴的動作をしているか、のいずれであるかを推定する。
 例えば、対象者が高齢者等の介護が必要な人である場合に、ベッドBに着床したか、ベッドBから離床したか等の情報は、介護をするうえで重要な情報となる。ここで、上記のような構成によれば、推定システム200は、着床動作及び離床動作を含む特徴的動作を精度良く推定できる。
 また、例えば、推定装置100は、(i)第1電波強度が第1閾値未満であり、且つ、第2電波強度が第2閾値未満である場合、対象者が室内に不在であると推定し、(ii)第1電波強度が第1閾値以上であり、且つ、第2電波強度が第2閾値未満である場合、対象者がベッドB上以外の室内にいると推定し、(iii)第1電波強度が第1閾値未満であり、且つ、第2電波強度が第2閾値以上である場合、対象者がベッドB上にいると推定し、(iv)第1電波強度が第1閾値以上であり、且つ、第2電波強度が第2閾値以上である場合、対象者が特徴的動作をしていると推定する。
 このような構成によれば、推定システム200は、第1閾値及び第2閾値に基づいて、簡便に対象者の位置及び行動を推定することができる。
 (実施の形態2)
 実施の形態1に係る推定システム200は、対象者の位置及び行動を精度良く推定した。実施の形態2に係る認知機能評価システムは、推定システム200が備える推定装置100が推定した推定結果を用いて、対象者の認知機能の程度を評価する。
 以下、実施の形態2に係る認知機能評価システムについて説明する。なお、実施の形態2に係る認知機能評価システムの説明において、実施の形態1に係る推定システム200と実質的に同様の構成においては、同様の符号を付し、説明を一部省略又は簡略化する場合がある。
 [認知機能評価システムの構成]
 図2及び図7を参照して、実施の形態2に係る認知機能評価システムの構成について説明する。
 図7は、実施の形態2に係る認知機能評価システム400の特徴的な機能構成を示すブロック図である。
 認知機能評価システム400は、推定装置100が推定した対象者の位置及び行動の少なくとも一方を示す推定結果に基づいて、対象者の認知機能の程度を評価する装置である。
 認知機能とは、認識したり、記憶したり、判断したりする能力を示す。一具体例として、認知機能評価システム400は、対象者が、認知機能が低下していない健常者、又は、軽度認知障害(MCI:Mild Cognitive Impairment)である人(MCI患者)であるか、認知症の疑いがある人(認知症患者)かどうかを評価する。
 認知症とは、上述した認知機能の低下が見られる症状を示す。認知症の一具体例としては、アルツハイマー型認知症(AD:Alzheimer’s disease)が挙げられる。認知症は自覚症状がないため、認知症患者の家族又は第三者等が認知症患者に病院での診察を促すことで、認知症患者は医師からの診察を受けることとなる。また、例えば、「物忘れ相談プログラム」(日本光電社製)等の認知症の診断のためのバッチテストを被評価者が受けることにより、被評価者が認知症であるかどうかを確認することができる。なお、MCIとは、認知機能の低下は見られるが、日常生活には支障がない程度の症状を示し、認知症とは、認知機能の低下は見られ、且つ、日常生活には支障をきたす程度の症状であることを示す。
 発明者らは、認知症患者と、健常者とで、推定システム200によって推定される推定結果の傾向が異なることを見出した。
 図7に示すように、認知機能評価システム400は、第1センサ210と、第2センサ211と、推定装置100と、認知機能評価装置300と、報知装置220とを備える。
 推定装置100は、第1センサ210及び第2センサ211が検出した対象者の活動量に基づいて当該対象者の位置及び行動の少なくとも一方を推定し、推定した推定結果を認知機能評価装置300へ出力する。具体的には、図2に示す推定結果出力部130は、図2に示す推定部120の推定結果を、認知機能評価装置300へ出力する。
 認知機能評価装置300は、推定装置100が推定した対象者の位置及び行動の少なくとも一方を示す推定結果を取得し、取得した推定結果に基づいて対象者の認知機能の程度を評価する装置である。認知機能評価装置300は、例えば、パーソナルコンピュータであるが、サーバ装置であってもよい。また、推定装置100と認知機能評価装置300とは、1つのパーソナルコンピュータ等の装置で実現されてもよいし、通信可能に接続された複数のパーソナルコンピュータ等の装置で実現されてもよい。認知機能評価装置300は、評価した対象者の認知機能の評価結果を音情報、画像情報等の情報として、報知装置220へ出力する。
 報知装置220は、認知機能評価装置300から取得した評価結果を示す音情報、画像情報等の情報に基づいて、音、画像等を出力する。
 認知機能評価装置300は、機能的には、推定結果取得部310と、算出部320と、評価部330と、評価結果出力部340と、記憶部350とを備える。
 推定結果取得部310は、推定装置100が推定した推定結果を取得する。具体的には、推定結果取得部310は、推定結果出力部130が出力した推定結果を取得する。
 推定結果取得部310は、例えば、推定装置100が備える推定結果出力部130と通信可能に接続するための、有線通信又は無線通信を行うためのアダプタ、通信回路等の通信インターフェースである。
 算出部320は、推定結果取得部310が取得した推定結果に基づいて、対象者がいる位置の滞在時間及び対象者の行動時間を算出し、算出した滞在時間及び行動時間に基づく特徴量を算出する。特徴量の具体的な算出方法は、後述する。
 なお、推定結果取得部310は、推定結果と結びつく時間情報を、推定結果に含めて取得してもよい。つまり、この場合、推定装置100が備える推定部120は、対象者の位置及び行動の少なくとも一方を推定する際に、あわせて対象者の位置及び行動の少なくとも一方が実行された時刻等を示す時間情報を紐づけて推定結果として推定する。推定結果出力部130は、時間情報を含む推定結果を、推定結果取得部310へ出力する。この場合、推定装置100は、時間を計測するためのRTC(Real Time Clock)等の図示しない計時部を備えてもよい。また、認知機能評価装置300が図示しないRTC等の計時部を備え、計時部での時間計測結果と、推定結果取得部310が取得した推定結果とを算出部320が紐づけてもよい。
 例えば、算出部320は、対象者が室内にいる時間に対する対象者がベッドB上で静止している時間を、特徴量として算出する。なお、ここでの「室内」とは、ベッドB上及びベッド上以外も含むことを意味する。
 また、例えば、算出部320は、対象者が室内に不在である時間(つまり、室外にいる時間)を、特徴量として算出する。
 算出部320は、例えば、記憶部350に記憶されている制御プログラムと、当該制御プログラムを実行するCPUとによって、ソフトウェア的に実現される。また、算出部320は、専用回路等によってハードウェア的に実現されてもよい。
 評価部330は、算出部320が算出した特徴量に基づいて、対象者の認知機能を評価する。具体的には、評価部330は、算出部320が算出した特徴量と、記憶部350に記憶されている参照データ351とを照合することにより、対象者の認知機能を評価する。例えば、記憶部350には、参照データ351として、健常者又はMCI患者と、認知症患者とを区別できる認知機能の程度を特定するための特徴量の閾値が記憶されている。評価部330は、算出部320が算出した特徴量と、参照データ351として記憶されている閾値とを比較することで、認知症の程度を評価する。
 評価部330は、例えば、記憶部350に記憶される制御プログラムと、当該制御プログラムを実行するCPUとによって、ソフトウェア的に実現される。また、評価部330は、専用回路等によってハードウェア的に実現されてもよい。
 なお、算出部320、評価部330、及び、推定装置100が備える推定部120(図2参照)は、それぞれの機能を併せ持つ1つのプロセッサ、マイクロコンピュータ、又は、専用回路で実現されてもよいし、プロセッサ、マイクロコンピュータ、又は、専用回路のうちの2つ以上の組み合わせによって実現されてもよい。
 評価結果出力部340は、評価部330が評価した対象者の認知機能の程度を示す評価結果を出力する。評価結果出力部340は、例えば、評価部330の評価結果を画像データとして報知装置220へ出力する。報知装置220は、評価結果出力部340が出力した画像データを取得し、取得した画像データに基づく画像を表示する。なお、評価部330の評価結果は、音データとして評価結果出力部340から出力されてもよい。
 評価結果出力部340は、例えば、有線通信又は無線通信を行うためのアダプタ、通信回路等の通信インターフェースである。報知装置220は、評価結果出力部340から出力された評価結果を取得して、取得した評価結果を示す情報を音、画像等により介護者等へ報知する。
 記憶部350は、人の特徴量と当該人の認知機能との関係を示す参照データ351を記憶するメモリである。記憶部350は、例えば、ROM等のメモリであり、HDD、フラッシュメモリ等で構成される。参照データ351の詳細については、後述する。
 なお、記憶部350と閾値記憶部140(図2参照)とは、1つのHDD等のメモリにより実現されてもよい。当該メモリに、閾値データ141、参照データ351、推定装置100及び認知機能評価装置300のそれぞれが実行する制御プログラム等が記憶されていてもよい。
 [認知機能評価システムの処理手順]
 続いて、図8を参照して、実施の形態2に係る認知機能評価システム400が実行する、対象者の認知機能の評価方法の詳細について説明する。
 図8は、実施の形態2に係る認知機能評価システム400が対象者の認知機能を評価する手順を示すフローチャートである。
 まず、推定結果取得部310は、推定装置100から、部屋Rに関連付けられた位置であって、対象者の位置及び行動の少なくとも一方を推定した推定結果を取得する(ステップS201)。
 次に、算出部320は、推定結果取得部310が取得した推定結果に基づいて、対象者がいる位置の滞在時間及び対象者の行動時間を算出し、算出した滞在時間及び行動時間に基づく対象者の特徴量を算出する(ステップS202)。
 次に、評価部330は、算出部320が算出した対象者の特徴量に基づいて、対象者の認知機能の程度を評価する(ステップS203)。ステップS203において、評価部330は、具体的には、算出部320が算出した対象者の特徴量を、参照データ351と照合することで、対象者の認知機能を評価する。
 最後に、評価結果出力部340は、評価部330が評価した評価結果を報知装置220へ出力する(ステップS204)。報知装置220は、評価結果出力部340から出力された評価結果を報知する。
 [認知機能評価システムの実施例]
 続いて、図9A~図9Cを参照して、実施の形態2に係る認知機能評価システム400が実行した、対象者の特徴量の算出結果の詳細について説明する。なお、図9A及び図9Bに示す「室内」とは、ベッドB上に対象者がいる場合も含む。
 図9Aは、対象者の認知機能の程度と位置及び行動の比率とのテーブルを示す図である。
 認知症の診断は、認知症の診断のためのバッチテストである物忘れ相談プログラムを人が受けることにより、当該人が認知症であるかどうかを特定することができる。図9Aには、4人(具体的には、図9AのIDに示すA、B、C、Dの4人)の対象者それぞれについて、物忘れ相談プログラムを実施した際の物忘れ相談プログラムのスコアと、推定装置100が推定した推定結果とを示す。推定結果が示す対象者の位置及び行動は、図6に示す、(i)室外、(ii)ベッド上以外の室内、(iii)ベッド上で静止、(iv)特徴的動作のいずれかである。また、対象期間は6月間であり、15分ごとに対象者が(i)室外、(ii)ベッド上以外の室内、(iii)ベッド上で静止、(iv)特徴的動作のいずれかであるかを推定装置100が推定した。認知機能評価システム400が備える記憶部350に推定装置100が推定した推定結果を記憶させ、認知機能評価装置300が備える算出部320は、記憶部350に記憶された推定結果から、対象者がいる位置の滞在時間及び対象者の行動時間を算出し、算出した滞在時間及び行動時間に基づく特徴量を算出した。
 図9Aに示すように、ID:Aが示す対象者(対象者Aと呼称する)は、物忘れ相談プログラムのスコアが12であった。また、ID:Bが示す対象者(対象者Bと呼称する)は、物忘れ相談プログラムのスコアが12であった。ID:Cが示す対象者(対象者Cと呼称する)は、物忘れ相談プログラムのスコアが15であった。ID:Dが示す対象者(対象者Dと呼称する)は、物忘れ相談プログラムのスコアが4であった。物忘れ相談プログラムにおいては、スコアが9以下の対象者は、認知症患者であり、スコアが10~12の対象者は、MCI患者であり、スコアが13以上の対象者は、健常者であると診断される。つまり、物忘れ相談プログラムのスコアから、対象者A、BはMCI患者であり、対象者Cは健常者であり、対象者Dは認知機能が低下している認知症患者であることが分かる。
 対象者A~Cは、対象者Dと比較して室外にいる時間の比率が高く、室内においても、ベッドB上にいる時間の比率が小さいことが分かる。
 図9Bは、対象者の認知機能の程度に対する位置及び行動の比率の一例を示す図である。なお、図9Bに示すグラフの横軸は物忘れ相談プログラムのスコアであり、縦軸は、対象者が室内にいる時間に対するベッド上で静止している時間の比率を示す。より具体的には、図9Bに示すグラフの縦軸は、図6に示す4象限のうち、ベッドB上以外の室内にいる、ベッドB上で静止している、特徴的動作をしている、の3つの位置又は行動の時間の和に対する、ベッドB上で静止している時間の比率である。また、図9Bに示す相関係数は、0.5502であった。
 図9Bに示すように、物忘れ相談プログラムのスコアが小さい程、対象者が室内にいる時間に対するベッド上で静止している時間の比率が大きいことが分かる。このことは、対象者の認知機能が低下している程、行動する意欲が低下し、室内にいる際には、ベッドB上でだらだらと過ごしていることが多くなるためと推察される。
 図9Bに示す結果から、例えば、対象者が室内にいる時間に対するベッド上で静止している時間の比率が0.5以上であれば、対象者の認知機能が低下している認知症患者であると推定され、対象者が室内にいる時間に対するベッド上で静止している時間の比率が0.5未満であれば、対象者の認知機能が低下していない健常者又はMCI患者であると推定される。
 例えば、算出部320は、対象者が室内にいる時間に対するベッド上で静止している時間の比率を特徴量として算出する。また、例えば、記憶部350は、対象者が室内にいる時間に対するベッド上で静止している時間の比率の閾値(例えば、0.5)を参照データ351として記憶する。これにより、評価部330は、例えば、算出部320が算出した特徴量と、記憶部350に記憶されている参照データ351とから、対象者の認知機能の程度を評価できる。
 図9Cは、対象者の認知機能の程度に対する位置及び行動の比率の別の一例を示す図である。
 なお、図9Cに示すグラフの横軸は物忘れ相談プログラムのスコアであり、縦軸は、対象期間の全時間に対する、対象者が室外にいる時間の比率を示す。また、図9Cに示す相関係数は、0.5632であった。
 図9Cに示すように、物忘れ相談プログラムのスコアが小さい程、対象期間の全時間に対する、対象者が室外にいる時間に対する時間の比率が小さいことが分かる。このことは、対象者の認知機能が低下している程、行動する意欲が低下し、室外へ出なくなるためと推察される。
 図9Cに示す結果から、例えば、対象期間の全時間に対する、対象者が室外にいる時間の比率が0.3未満であれば、対象者の認知機能が低下している認知症患者であると推定され、対象期間の全時間に対する、対象者が室外にいる時間の比率が0.3以上であれば、対象者の認知機能が低下していない健常者又はMCI患者であると推定される。
 例えば、算出部320は、対象期間の全時間に対する、対象者が室外にいる時間の比率を特徴量として算出する。また、例えば、記憶部350は、対象期間の全時間に対する、対象者が室外にいる時間の比率の閾値(例えば、0.3)を参照データ351として記憶する。これにより、評価部330は、例えば、算出部320が算出した特徴量と、記憶部350に記憶されている参照データ351とから、対象者の認知機能の程度を評価できる。
 なお、算出部320が特徴量を算出するために用いる推定結果の対象期間が予め定められている場合、参照データ351は、例えば、時間でもよい。例えば、算出部320は、対象者が室外にいる時間(つまり、対象者が室内に不在である時間)を特徴量として算出してもよい。つまり、算出部320は、対象者が室内に不在である時間に基づく特徴量を算出してもよい。
 なお、上記実施例では、対象期間を6か月としたが、対象期間は特に限定されない。例えば、1週間でもよいし、1か月でもよい。1週間より短くてもよいし、6か月より長くてもよい。
 [効果等]
 以上、実施の形態2に係る認知機能評価システム400は、推定装置100と、推定装置100が推定した推定結果を取得する推定結果取得部310、推定結果取得部310が取得した推定結果に基づいて、対象者がいる位置の滞在時間及び対象者の行動時間を算出し、算出した滞在時間及び行動時間に基づく特徴量を算出する算出部320、算出部320が算出した特徴量に基づいて、対象者の認知機能を評価する評価部330、及び、評価部330が評価した評価結果を出力する評価結果出力部340を備える認知機能評価装置300と、を備える。
 このような構成によれば、認知機能評価システム400は、推定装置100の推定結果に基づいて、対象者の認知機能の程度を精度良く評価できる。
 例えば、算出部320は、対象者が室内にいる時間に対する対象者がベッドB上で静止している時間を、特徴量として算出する。なお、ここでの「室内」とは、ベッドB上及びベッドB上以外も含むことを意味する。
 このような構成によれば、推定装置100の推定結果に基づいて、簡便に、且つ、より精度良く対象者の認知機能の程度を評価できる。
 また、例えば、算出部320は、対象者が室内に不在である時間を、特徴量として算出する。
 このような構成によってもまた、推定装置100の推定結果に基づいて、簡便に、且つ、より精度良く対象者の認知機能の程度を評価できる。
 また、例えば、認知機能評価システム400は、さらに、人の特徴量と当該人の認知機能との関係を示す参照データ351を記憶する記憶部350を備える。この場合、例えば、評価部330は、算出部320が算出した対象者の特徴量と、参照データ351と、を照合することにより、対象者の認知機能を評価する。
 つまり、認知機能評価システム400は、参照データ351を記憶している外部のサーバ装置等の通信することで、対象者の認知機能の評価をしてもよいが、参照データ351を記憶している記憶装置である記憶部350を備えてもよい。これにより、認知機能評価システム400は、外部のサーバ装置を通信するためのネットワークに接続することなく、対象者の認知機能を評価することができる。そのため、認知機能評価システム400の利便性は、向上される。
 また、例えば、認知機能評価システム400は、さらに、評価結果出力部340から出力された評価結果を報知する報知装置220を備える。
 このような構成によれば、認知機能評価装置300が評価した評価結果を、簡便に対象者へ報知することができる。
 (その他の実施の形態)
 以上、実施の形態1に係る推定システム200、及び、実施の形態2に係る認知機能評価システム400等について説明したが、本発明は、上記実施の形態に限定されるものではない。
 例えば、上記実施の形態では、推定装置100が備える推定部120、認知機能評価装置300が備える算出部320、評価部330等の処理部は、プロセッサがプログラムを実行することによってソフトウェア的に実現されたが、このような実現方法に限定されない。当該処理部は、ゲートアレイ等を用いた専用の電子回路によってハードウェア的に実現されてもよい。
 また、上記実施の形態では、認知機能の評価の一具体例として、認知機能評価装置300は、対象者が認知症か否かを評価した。しかしながら、本実施の形態に係る認知機能評価装置300が実行する評価は、対象者が認知症か否かの評価に限定されない。認知機能評価装置300は、例えば、対象者の酩酊の度合いを評価してもよい。
 なお、図9A~図9Cに示す実施例においては、健常者(対象者C)と、MCI患者(対象者A、B)との区別がつかなかったが、数多くの検討を行う事で、健常者とMCI患者とを切り分けられる可能性がある。この場合、認知機能評価装置300は、対象者が、健常者であるか、MCI患者であるか、認知症患者であるかを評価してもよい。
 また、上記実施の形態では、認知機能の低下の症状の一具体例として、アルツハイマー型認知症が挙げられた。しかしながら、認知機能とは、認識したり、記憶したり、判断したりする能力を示し、認知症とは、上述した認知機能の低下が見られる症状を示す。つまり、認知機能評価装置300が評価する認知機能は、アルツハイマー型認知症に限定されず、例えば、血管性認知症等でもよい。
 また、上記実施の形態では、対象者の認知機能を評価するために、物忘れ相談プログラムのスコアと対象者の位置及び行動の推定結果との関係性を示すデータを参照データ351として予め記憶部350が記憶している。参照データ351は、対象者の位置及び行動の推定結果と照合することで認知機能を評価することができるデータであればよく、物忘れ相談プログラムと推定結果との関係性を示すデータに限定されない。例えば、参照データ351は、MoCA(Montreal Cognitive Assessment)テストのスコア、又は、MMSE(Mini-Mental State Examination:ミニメンタルステート検査)のスコアと対象者の位置及び行動の推定結果との関係性を示すデータでもよい。
 また、本発明は、上記実施の形態に係る推定システム200が実行する方法として実現されてもよい。つまり、本発明は、室内での対象者の活動量である第1活動量を、2次元イメージセンサ以外の第1センサ210によって検出し、且つ、室内に位置するベッドB上での対象者の活動量である第2活動量を、2次元イメージセンサ以外の第2センサ211によって検出する活動量検出ステップと、第1センサ210が検出した第1活動量、及び、第2センサ211が検出した第2活動量に基づいて、室内と関連した位置における、対象者の位置及び行動の少なくとも一方を推定する推定ステップと、推定ステップで推定した推定結果を出力する推定結果出力ステップと、を含む推定方法でもよい。
 また、本発明は、上記実施の形態に係る認知機能評価システム400が実行する方法として実現されてもよい。つまり、本発明は、コンピュータが実行する認知機能評価方法であって、室内での対象者の活動量である第1活動量を、2次元イメージセンサ以外の第1センサ210によって検出し、且つ、室内に位置するベッドB上での対象者の活動量である第2活動量を、2次元イメージセンサ以外の第2センサ211によって検出する活動量検出ステップと、第1センサ210が検出した第1活動量、及び、第2センサ211が検出した第2活動量に基づいて、室内と関連した位置における、対象者の位置及び行動の少なくとも一方を推定する推定ステップと、推定ステップで推定した推定結果に基づいて、対象者がいる位置の滞在時間及び対象者の行動時間を算出し、算出した滞在時間及び行動時間に基づく特徴量を算出する算出ステップと、算出ステップで算出した特徴量に基づいて、対象者の認知機能を評価する評価ステップと、評価ステップで評価した評価結果を出力する評価結果出力ステップとを含む認知機能評価方法でもよい。
 また、本発明は、上記推定方法又は上記認知機能評価方法に含まれるステップをコンピュータに実行させるプログラムとして実現されてもよい。言い換えると、本発明は、認知機能評価装置が実行するステップをコンピュータに実行させるプログラムとして実現されてもよい。また、本発明は、そのプログラムを記録したコンピュータによって読み取り可能なCD-ROM等の記録媒体として実現されてもよい。また、本発明は、そのプログラムを示す情報、データ又は信号として実現されてもよい。そして、それらプログラム、情報、データ及び信号は、インターネット等の通信ネットワークを介して配信されてもよい。
 これにより、推定方法は、撮像せずに精度良く対象者の位置及び行動を推定することができるプログラムとしてコンピュータが実行できる。また、認知機能評価方法は、精度良く対象者の認知機能を評価することができるプログラムとしてコンピュータが実行できる。
 その他、各実施の形態に対して当業者が思いつく各種変形を施して得られる形態、又は、本発明の趣旨を逸脱しない範囲で各実施の形態における構成要素及び機能を任意に組み合わせることで実現される形態も本発明に含まれる。

Claims (9)

  1.  室内での対象者の活動量である第1活動量を検出する第1センサと、
     前記室内に位置するベッド上での前記対象者の活動量である第2活動量を検出する第2センサと、
     前記第1センサが検出した前記第1活動量、及び、前記第2センサが検出した前記第2活動量に基づいて、前記室内と関連した位置における、前記対象者の位置及び行動の少なくとも一方を推定して、推定した推定結果を出力する推定装置と、を備え、
     前記第1センサ及び前記第2センサは、2次元イメージセンサを除くセンサである
     推定システム。
  2.  前記第1センサ及び前記第2センサは、電波センサである
     請求項1に記載の推定システム。
  3.  前記推定装置は、
     前記第1センサが前記第1活動量として検出した第1電波強度と、前記第2センサが前記第2活動量として検出した第2電波強度とから、前記対象者が、
     (i)前記室内に不在であるか、
     (ii)前記ベッド上にいるか、
     (iii)前記ベッド上以外の前記室内にいるか、及び、
     (iv)前記ベッドからの離床動作及び前記ベッドへの着床動作を含む特徴的動作をしているか、
     のいずれであるかを推定する
     請求項2に記載の推定システム。
  4.  前記推定装置は、
     (i)前記第1電波強度が第1閾値未満であり、且つ、前記第2電波強度が第2閾値未満である場合、前記対象者が前記室内に不在であると推定し、
     (ii)前記第1電波強度が前記第1閾値以上であり、且つ、前記第2電波強度が前記第2閾値未満である場合、前記対象者が前記ベッド上以外の前記室内にいると推定し、
     (iii)前記第1電波強度が前記第1閾値未満であり、且つ、前記第2電波強度が前記第2閾値以上である場合、前記対象者が前記ベッド上にいると推定し、
     (iv)前記第1電波強度が前記第1閾値以上であり、且つ、前記第2電波強度が前記第2閾値以上である場合、前記対象者が前記特徴的動作をしていると推定する
     請求項3に記載の推定システム。
  5.  請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載の推定装置と、
     前記推定装置が推定した前記推定結果を取得する推定結果取得部、前記推定結果取得部が取得した前記推定結果に基づいて、前記対象者がいる位置の滞在時間及び前記対象者の行動時間を算出し、算出した前記滞在時間及び前記行動時間に基づく特徴量を算出する算出部、前記算出部が算出した前記特徴量に基づいて、前記対象者の認知機能を評価する評価部、及び、前記評価部が評価した評価結果を出力する評価結果出力部を備える認知機能評価装置と、を備える
     認知機能評価システム。
  6.  前記算出部は、前記対象者が前記室内にいる時間に対する前記対象者が前記ベッド上で静止している時間の比率を、前記特徴量として算出する
     請求項5に記載の認知機能評価システム。
  7.  前記算出部は、前記対象者が前記室内に不在である時間を、前記特徴量として算出する
     請求項5に記載の認知機能評価システム。
  8.  さらに、人の前記特徴量と当該人の認知機能との関係を示す参照データを記憶する記憶部を備え、
     前記評価部は、前記算出部が算出した前記対象者の前記特徴量と、前記参照データと、を照合することにより、前記対象者の認知機能を評価する
     請求項5~7のいずれか1項に記載の認知機能評価システム。
  9.  さらに、前記評価結果出力部から出力された前記評価結果を報知する報知装置を備える
     請求項5~8のいずれか1項に記載の認知機能評価システム。
