  • Fixed-dose combination multiple medicines may increase patients' adjustment to treatments and avoid cardivascular incidents.
  • Polypills consisting of 4-5 medicines are only produced by large pharmaceutical companies. Their production and commercial access are limited. Even if the generic forms of pills go beyond the scope of patent protection, the companies prevent the productions of fixed-dose combination medicines by obtaining patents such as copatent or polypills.
  • Polypills are not in common use. They are only prepared privately as part of pilot experiments and given to workgroup patients. Another restrictive factor is the current dose diversity of polypills and the prohibition of private dose adjustment for patient.
