以下、本発明のポリイミドについて説明する。
本発明のポリイミドに含まれる構成単位Aは、テトラカルボン酸又はその誘導体に由来する構成単位である。テトラカルボン酸又はその誘導体は、単独で又は2種以上を組み合わせて用いることができる。
テトラカルボン酸の誘導体としては、テトラカルボン酸の無水物又はアルキルエステルが挙げられる。テトラカルボン酸のアルキルエステルとしては、アルキルの炭素数が1~3であることが好ましく、例えば、テトラカルボン酸のジメチルエステル、ジエチルエステル、及びジプロピルエステルが挙げられる。テトラカルボン酸又はその誘導体としては、テトラカルボン酸二無水物が好ましい。
本発明における構成単位Aは、下記式(a-1)で表される化合物に由来する構成単位(A-1)を含む。式(a-1)で表される化合物は、1,2,4,5-シクロヘキサンテトラカルボン酸二無水物である。構成単位Aが構成単位(A-1)を含むことで、ポリイミドの透明性及び耐熱性が向上する。
本発明のポリイミドに含まれる構成単位Bは、ジアミンに由来する構成単位である。
前記構成単位Bは、下記式(b-1)で表される化合物に由来する構成単位(B-1)を含有する。
上記式(b-1)で表される化合物としては、9,9-ビス(4-アミノフェニル)フルオレン、9,9-ビス(3-フルオロ-4-アミノフェニル)フルオレン、及び9,9-ビス(3-メチル-4-アミノフェニル)フルオレン等が挙げられ、これら3種の化合物からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種が好ましく、9,9-ビス(4-アミノフェニル)フルオレンがより好ましい。
本発明のポリイミドは、前記構成単位(B-1)を含むことによって、位相差を小さくすることができ、低リタデーションを発現することができる。
本発明において、構成単位Bに対する構成単位(B-1)の割合は50モル%未満である。前記構成単位(B-1)の割合が50モル%以上であると、伸びに優れたフィルムを形成することが困難となる。前記構成単位(B-1)の割合は、低リタデーションを発現し、伸びに優れたフィルムを形成する観点から、好ましくは45モル%以下、より好ましくは42モル%以下、更に好ましくは40モル%以下であり、そして好ましくは5モル%以上、より好ましくは10モル%以上、更に好ましくは15モル%以上、より更に好ましくは20モル%以上である。前記構成単位(B-1)の割合は、前記と同様の観点から、好ましくは5~45モル%、より好ましくは10~45モル%、更に好ましくは15~45モル%、より更に好ましくは20~40モル%である。
本発明のポリイミドは、前記構成単位(B-2)を含むことによって、位相差を小さくすることができ、低リタデーションに優れるとともに、伸びに優れたフィルムを形成することができる。
本発明において、構成単位Bに対する前記構成単位(B-2)の割合は15モル%以上である。前記構成単位(B-2)の割合が15モル%未満であると、低リタデーションと伸びに優れたフィルムを形成することが困難となる。前記構成単位(B-2)の割合は、低リタデーションと伸びに優れたフィルムを形成する観点から、好ましくは20モル%以上、より好ましくは25モル%以上、更に好ましくは30モル%以上、より更に好ましくは35モル%以上、より更に好ましくは40モル%以上であり、そして好ましくは70モル%以下、より好ましくは60モル%以下、更に好ましくは50モル%以下である。前記構成単位(B-2)の割合は、前記と同様の観点から、好ましくは15~70モル%、より好ましくは15~60モル%、更に好ましくは20~50モル%、より更に好ましくは30~50モル%、より更に好ましくは35~50モル%、より更に好ましくは40~50モル%である。

構成単位B’として前記構成単位(B-4)を含有する場合、構成単位Bに対する前記構成単位(B-4)の割合は、好ましくは10~60モル%、より好ましくは20~55モル%、更に好ましくは30~50モル%、より更に好ましくは35~50モル%である。
構成単位B’として前記構成単位(B-5)を含有する場合、構成単位Bに対する前記構成単位(B-5)の割合は、好ましくは5~40モル%、より好ましくは5~30モル%、更に好ましくは5~20モル%、より更に好ましくは5~15モル%である。
構成単位Bに対する上記式(b-1)~(b-5)で表される化合物以外のジアミンに由来する構成単位の割合は、好ましくは10モル%以下、より好ましくは5モル%以下、更に好ましくは1モル%以下、より更に好ましくは0モル%である。
本発明のポリイミドは、ジアミン成分とテトラカルボン酸成分を反応させることにより得られる。
テトラカルボン酸の誘導体としては、該テトラカルボン酸の無水物又はアルキルエステルが挙げられる。
テトラカルボン酸のアルキルエステルとしては、アルキルの炭素数が1~3であることが好ましく、例えば、テトラカルボン酸のジメチルエステル、ジエチルエステル、及びジプロピルエステルが挙げられる。
本発明で使用されるテトラカルボン酸成分は、1,2,4,5-シクロヘキサンテトラカルボン酸又はその誘導体を必須とし、中でも1,2,4,5-シクロヘキサンテトラカルボン酸二無水物〔上記式(a-1)〕を含むことが好ましい。
芳香環を含むテトラカルボン酸としては、ピロメリット酸、3,3’,4,4’-ジフェニルスルホンテトラカルボン酸、3,3’,4,4’-ベンゾフェノンテトラカルボン酸、4,4’-オキシジフタル酸、4,4’-(ヘキサフルオロイソプロピリデン)ジフタル酸、2,2’,3,3’-ベンゾフェノンテトラカルボン酸、3,3’,4,4’-ビフェニルテトラカルボン酸、2,3,3’,4’-ビフェニルテトラカルボン酸、2,2’,3,3’-ビフェニルテトラカルボン酸、2,2-ビス(3,4-ジカルボキシフェニル)プロパン、2,2-ビス(2,3-ジカルボキシフェニル)プロパン、2,2-ビス(3,4-ジカルボキシフェノキシフェニル)プロパン、1,1-ビス(2,3-ジカルボキシフェニル)エタン、1,2-ビス(2,3-ジカルボキシフェニル)エタン、1,1-ビス(3,4-ジカルボキシフェニル)エタン、1,2-ビス(3,4-ジカルボキシフェニル)エタン、ビス(2,3-ジカルボキシフェニル)メタン、ビス(3,4-ジカルボキシフェニル)メタン、4,4’-(p-フェニレンジオキシ)ジフタル酸、4,4’-(m-フェニレンジオキシ)ジフタル酸、2,3,6,7-ナフタレンテトラカルボン酸、1,4,5,8-ナフタレンテトラカルボン酸及びそれらの誘導体が挙げられる。
脂環式炭化水素構造及び芳香環をいずれも含まないテトラカルボン酸成分としては、1,2,3,4-ブタンテトラカルボン酸、1,2,3,4-ペンタンテトラカルボン酸等又はこれらの誘導体が挙げられる。
本発明で使用されるジアミン成分は、上記式(b-1)で表される化合物、及び上記式(b-2)で表される化合物を含有し、更に上記式(b-3)で表される化合物、上記式(b-4)で表される化合物、及び上記式(b-5)で表される化合物から選ばれる少なくとも1つの化合物を含有することが好ましい。
なお、上記式(b-4)で表される、5-アミノ-1,3,3-トリメチル-1-(4-アミノフェニル)-インダン(以下、「5-アミノ体」ということがある)は、異性体である6-アミノ-1,3,3-トリメチル-1-(4-アミノフェニル)-インダン(以下、「6-アミノ体」ということがある)が混在している場合がある。すなわち、ジアミン成分として上記式(b-4)で表される化合物を使用する場合は、5-アミノ体及び6-アミノ体が混在していることがある。
上記式(b-2)で表される化合物の使用量は、全ジアミン成分に対して、15モル%以上であり、好ましくは15~70モル%、より好ましくは15~60モル%、更に好ましくは20~50モル%、より更に好ましくは30~50モル%、より更に好ましくは35~50モル%、より更に好ましくは40~50モル%である。
上記式(b-1)で表される化合物、及び上記式(b-2)で表される化合物の合計の使用量は、全ジアミン成分に対して、40モル%以上であり、好ましくは40~95モル%、より好ましくは50~95モル%、更に好ましくは55~95モル%、より更に好ましくは60~90モル%である。
上記式(b-3)で表される化合物、上記式(b-4)で表される化合物、及び上記式(b-5)で表される化合物の合計の使用量は、全ジアミン成分に対して、好ましくは5~60モル%、より好ましくは10~55モル%、更に好ましくは10~50モル%、より更に好ましくは10~45モル%、より更に好ましくは10~40モル%である。
上記式(b-3)で表される化合物の使用量は、全ジアミン成分に対して、好ましくは10~60モル%、より好ましくは25~55モル%、更に好ましくは35~50モル%、より更に好ましくは40~50モル%である。
上記式(b-4)で表される化合物の使用量は、全ジアミン成分に対して、好ましくは10~60モル%、より好ましくは20~55モル%、更に好ましくは30~50モル%、より更に好ましくは35~50モル%である。
上記式(b-5)で表される化合物の使用量は、全ジアミン成分に対して、好ましくは5~40モル%、より好ましくは5~30モル%、更に好ましくは5~20モル%、より更に好ましくは5~15モル%である。
具体的な反応方法としては、(1)テトラカルボン酸成分、ジアミン成分、及び反応溶剤を反応器に仕込み、室温~80℃で0.5~30時間撹拌し、その後に昇温してイミド化反応を行う方法、(2)ジアミン成分及び反応溶剤を反応器に仕込んで溶解させた後、テトラカルボン酸成分を仕込み、必要に応じて室温~80℃で0.5~30時間撹拌し、その後に昇温してイミド化反応を行う方法、(3)テトラカルボン酸成分、ジアミン成分、及び反応溶剤を反応器に仕込み、直ちに昇温してイミド化反応を行う方法等が挙げられる。
エーテル系溶剤の具体例としては、1,2-ジメトキシエタン、ビス(2-メトキシエチル)エーテル、1,2-ビス(2-メトキシエトキシ)エタン、ビス〔2-(2-メトキシエトキシ)エチル〕エーテル、テトラヒドロフラン、1,4-ジオキサン等が挙げられる。
また、カーボネート系溶剤の具体的な例としては、ジエチルカーボネート、メチルエチルカーボネート、エチレンカーボネート、プロピレンカーボネート等が挙げられる。
上記反応溶剤の中でも、非プロトン性溶剤が好ましく、アミド系溶剤又はラクトン系溶剤がより好ましく、γ-ブチロラクトンが更に好ましい。また、上記の反応溶剤は単独で又は2種以上混合して用いてもよい。
塩基触媒としては、ピリジン、キノリン、イソキノリン、α-ピコリン、β-ピコリン、2,4-ルチジン、2,6-ルチジン、トリメチルアミン、トリエチルアミン、トリプロピルアミン、トリブチルアミン、イミダゾール、N,N-ジメチルアニリン、N,N-ジエチルアニリン等の有機塩基触媒、水酸化カリウム、水酸化ナトリウム、炭酸カリウム、炭酸ナトリウム、炭酸水素カリウム、炭酸水素ナトリウム等の無機塩基触媒が挙げられる。
また、酸触媒としては、クロトン酸、アクリル酸、トランス-3-ヘキセノイック酸、桂皮酸、安息香酸、メチル安息香酸、オキシ安息香酸、テレフタル酸、ベンゼンスルホン酸、パラトルエンスルホン酸、ナフタレンスルホン酸等が挙げられる。上記のイミド化触媒は単独で又は2種以上を組み合わせて用いてもよい。
上記のうち、取り扱い性の観点から、塩基触媒が好ましく、有機塩基触媒がより好ましく、トリエチルアミンが更に好ましい。
なお、触媒を用いない場合のイミド化反応の温度は、好ましくは200~350℃である。
本発明のポリイミドの重量平均分子量は、得られるポリイミドフィルムの機械的強度の観点から、好ましくは500~1,000,000である。なお、ポリイミドの重量平均分子量は、ゲルろ過クロマトグラフィー等により測定することができる。
重量平均分子量の測定例として、展開溶媒にN,N-ジメチルホルムアミドを用いて光散乱検出器で絶対分子量を測定する方法が挙げられる。
高分子化合物としては、本発明のポリイミド以外のポリイミド、ポリカーボネート、ポリスチレン、ポリアミド、ポリアミドイミド、ポリエチレンテレフタレート等のポリエステル、ポリエーテルスルホン、ポリカルボン酸、ポリアセタール、ポリフェニレンエーテル、ポリスルホン、ポリブチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリアクリルアミド、ポリ塩化ビニル等が挙げられる。
本発明のポリイミドワニスは、本発明のポリイミドが有機溶媒に溶解してなるものである。即ち、本発明のポリイミドワニスは、本発明のポリイミドを含む溶液であって、本発明のポリイミド及び有機溶媒を含み、当該ポリイミドは当該有機溶媒に溶解している。
有機溶媒はポリイミドが溶解するものであればよく、特に限定されないが、ポリイミドの製造に用いられる反応溶剤として上述した化合物を、単独又は2種以上を混合して用いることが好ましい。
本発明のポリイミドは溶媒溶解性を有しているため、室温で安定な高濃度のワニスとすることができる。
本発明のポリイミドを含む溶液(本発明のポリイミドワニス)の固形分濃度は5~60質量%が好ましく、10~45質量%がより好ましい。本発明のポリイミドの溶液粘度は1~200Pa・sが好ましく、5~150Pa・sがより好ましい。
ポリイミドの溶液粘度は、E型粘度計を用いて23℃で測定した値である。
本発明のポリイミドフィルムは、本発明のポリイミドを含むことを特徴とし、低リタデーションと伸びに優れる。本発明のポリイミドフィルムは、本発明のポリイミドからなることが好ましい。
本発明のポリイミドフィルムの作製方法には特に制限はなく、公知の方法を用いることができる。例えば、本発明のポリイミドを含む溶液(本発明のポリイミドワニス)、又は本発明のポリイミドを含む溶液と既述の種々の添加剤とを含む溶液を、ガラス板、金属板、プラスチックなどの平滑な支持体上に塗布、又はフィルム状に成形した後、該溶液中に含まれる有機溶剤等の溶媒成分を除去する方法等が挙げられる。
本発明では、イエローインデックス(YI値)が好ましくは2.7以下、より好ましくは2.5以下、更に好ましくは2.2以下のポリイミドフィルムとすることができる。
本発明では、ガラス転移温度が好ましくは220℃以上、より好ましくは250℃以上、更に好ましくは280℃以上のポリイミドフィルムとすることができる。
ポリイミドフィルムの全光線透過率、YI値、及びガラス転移温度は、具体的には実施例に記載の方法で測定することができる。
本発明では、複屈折率が好ましくは0.003以下、より好ましくは0.0025以下、更に好ましくは0.002以下、より更に好ましくは0.0012以下のポリイミドフィルムとすることができる。
本発明では、引張破断伸び率(測定温度23℃、湿度50%RH)が好ましくは8%以上、より好ましくは8.2%以上、更に好ましくは8.5%以上、より更に好ましくは9%以上のポリイミドフィルムとすることができる。
ポリイミドフィルムの厚み方向のリタデーション値(Rth)、複屈折率、及び引張破断伸び率は、具体的には実施例に記載の方法で測定することができる。
下記実施例及び比較例で得たポリイミド溶液及びポリイミドフィルムの物性は以下に示す方法によって測定した。
(1)固形分濃度:
ポリイミド溶液(ポリイミドワニス)の固形分濃度の測定は、アズワン株式会社製、小型電気炉MMF-1で試料を300℃×30minで加熱し、加熱前後の試料重量差から算出した。
(2)フィルム厚さ:
フィルム厚さの測定は、株式会社ミツトヨ製、マイクロメーターを用いて測定した。
測定はJIS K7361-1:1997に準拠し、日本電色工業株式会社製 色彩・濁度同時測定器「COH400」を用いて行った。
(4)ガラス転移温度
測定は、エスアイアイ・ナノテクノロジー株式会社製の示差走査熱量計装置(DSC6200)を用い、昇温速度10℃/minの条件でDSC測定を行い、ガラス転移温度を求めた。
日本分光株式会社製エリプソメーター「M-220」を用いて、測定波長590nmにおける、nx、ny及びnzの値を測定した。その値を用いて、下記式で定義される厚み方向のリタデーション値(Rth)を求め、フィルムの厚みで除して複屈折率(Δn)を求めた。

[式中、nxはポリイミドフィルムの面内の屈折率のうち最大の屈折率;nyは最小の屈折率;nzは厚み方向の屈折率;dはフィルムの厚み(nm)を表す。]
測定はASTM-882-88に準拠し、東洋精機株式会社製 引張試験機「ストログラフVC-1」を用いて、測定温度23℃、湿度50%RH、チャック間距離50mm、引張速度50mm/分の条件で引張試験を実施し、引張破断伸び率を求めた。引張破断伸び率が高いほどフィルムの伸びが良好であることを表す。
ステンレス製半月型攪拌翼、窒素導入管、冷却管を取り付けたディーンスターク、温度計、ガラス製エンドキャップを備えた300mLの5つ口丸底フラスコに、ジアミン成分として9,9-ビス(4-アミノフェニル)フルオレン(田岡化学工業株式会社製)9.76g(0.028モル)及び2,2-ビス[4-(4-アミノフェノキシ)フェニル]プロパン(和歌山精化工業株式会社製)8.62g(0.021モル)、4,4’-ジアミノ-2,2’-ビス(トリフルオロメチル)ビフェニル(和歌山精化工業株式会社製)6.72g(0.021モル)、γ-ブチロラクトン(三菱ケミカル株式会社製)46.86gを投入し、系内温度70℃、窒素雰囲気下、回転数200rpmで攪拌して溶液を得た。
この溶液に、テトラカルボン酸成分として1,2,4,5-シクロヘキサンテトラカルボン酸二無水物(三菱ガス化学株式会社製)16.47g(0.07モル)とγ-ブチロラクトン(三菱ケミカル株式会社製)11.72gを一括で添加した後、イミド化触媒としてトリエチルアミン(関東化学株式会社製)3.54gを投入し、マントルヒーターで加熱し、約20分かけて反応系内温度を190℃まで上げた。留去される成分を捕集し、回転数を粘度上昇に合わせて調整しつつ、反応系内温度を190℃に保持して5時間還流した。
その後、γ-ブチロラクトン(三菱ケミカル株式会社製)97.62gを添加して、反応系内温度を120℃まで冷却した後、さらに約3時間攪拌して均一化し、固形分濃度20質量%のポリイミド溶液を得た。続いてガラス板上へ、得られたポリイミド溶液を塗布し、ホットプレートで100℃、60分間保持し、溶媒を揮発させることで自己支持性を有する無色透明な一次乾燥フィルムを得た。このフィルムをステンレス枠に固定し、熱風乾燥機中250℃で2時間加熱し溶媒を蒸発させ、厚み56μmのフィルムを得た。結果を表1に示す。
ステンレス製半月型攪拌翼、窒素導入管、冷却管を取り付けたディーンスターク、温度計、ガラス製エンドキャップを備えた300mLの5つ口丸底フラスコに、ジアミン成分として9,9-ビス(4-アミノフェニル)フルオレン(田岡化学工業株式会社製)9.76g(0.028モル)及び2,2-ビス[4-(4-アミノフェノキシ)フェニル]プロパン(和歌山精化工業株式会社製)14.37g(0.035モル)、4,4’-ジアミノ-2,2’-ビス(トリフルオロメチル)ビフェニル(和歌山精化工業株式会社製)2.24g(0.007モル)、γ-ブチロラクトン(三菱ケミカル株式会社製)48.38gを投入し、系内温度70℃、窒素雰囲気下、回転数200rpmで攪拌して溶液を得た。
この溶液に、テトラカルボン酸成分として1,2,4,5-シクロヘキサンテトラカルボン酸二無水物(三菱ガス化学株式会社製)16.47g(0.07モル)とγ-ブチロラクトン(三菱ケミカル株式会社製)12.09gを一括で添加した後、イミド化触媒としてトリエチルアミン(関東化学株式会社製)3.54gを投入し、マントルヒーターで加熱し、約20分かけて反応系内温度を190℃まで上げた。留去される成分を捕集し、回転数を粘度上昇に合わせて調整しつつ、反応系内温度を190℃に保持して5時間還流した。
その後、γ-ブチロラクトン(三菱ケミカル株式会社製)100.8gを添加して、反応系内温度を120℃まで冷却した後、さらに約3時間攪拌して均一化し、固形分濃度20質量%のポリイミド溶液を得た。続いてガラス板上へ、得られたポリイミド溶液を塗布し、ホットプレートで100℃、60分間保持し、溶媒を揮発させることで自己支持性を有する無色透明な一次乾燥フィルムを得た。このフィルムをステンレス枠に固定し、熱風乾燥機中250℃で2時間加熱し溶媒を蒸発させ、厚み89μmのフィルムを得た。結果を表1に示す。
ステンレス製半月型攪拌翼、窒素導入管、冷却管を取り付けたディーンスターク、温度計、ガラス製エンドキャップを備えた300mLの5つ口丸底フラスコに、ジアミン成分として9,9-ビス(4-アミノフェニル)フルオレン(田岡化学工業株式会社製)7.32g(0.021モル)及び2,2-ビス[4-(4-アミノフェノキシ)フェニル]プロパン(和歌山精化工業株式会社製)5.75g(0.014モル)、2,2-ビス[4-(4-アミノフェノキシ)フェニル]ヘキサフルオロプロパン(和歌山精化工業株式会社製)18.15g (0.035モル)、γ-ブチロラクトン(三菱ケミカル株式会社製)54.20gを投入し、系内温度70℃、窒素雰囲気下、回転数200rpmで攪拌して溶液を得た。
この溶液に、テトラカルボン酸成分として1,2,4,5-シクロヘキサンテトラカルボン酸二無水物(三菱ガス化学株式会社製)16.47g(0.07モル)とγ-ブチロラクトン(三菱ケミカル株式会社製)13.55gを一括で添加した後、イミド化触媒としてトリエチルアミン(関東化学株式会社製)3.54gを投入し、マントルヒーターで加熱し、約20分かけて反応系内温度を190℃まで上げた。留去される成分を捕集し、回転数を粘度上昇に合わせて調整しつつ、反応系内温度を190℃に保持して5時間還流した。
その後、γ-ブチロラクトン(三菱ケミカル株式会社製)112.9gを添加して、反応系内温度を120℃まで冷却した後、さらに約3時間攪拌して均一化し、固形分濃度20質量%のポリイミド溶液を得た。続いてガラス板上へ、得られたポリイミド溶液を塗布し、ホットプレートで100℃、60分間保持し、溶媒を揮発させることで自己支持性を有する無色透明な一次乾燥フィルムを得た。このフィルムをステンレス枠に固定し、熱風乾燥機中250℃で2時間加熱し溶媒を蒸発させ、厚み62μmのフィルムを得た。結果を表1に示す。
ステンレス製半月型攪拌翼、窒素導入管、冷却管を取り付けたディーンスターク、温度計、ガラス製エンドキャップを備えた300mLの5つ口丸底フラスコに、ジアミン成分として9,9-ビス(4-アミノフェニル)フルオレン(田岡化学工業株式会社製)4.88g(0.014モル)及び2,2-ビス[4-(4-アミノフェノキシ)フェニル]プロパン(和歌山精化工業株式会社製)11.49g(0.028モル)、2,2-ビス[4-(4-アミノフェノキシ)フェニル]ヘキサフルオロプロパン(和歌山精化工業株式会社製)14.52g (0.028モル)、γ-ブチロラクトン(三菱ケミカル株式会社製)53.81gを投入し、系内温度70℃、窒素雰囲気下、回転数200rpmで攪拌して溶液を得た。
この溶液に、テトラカルボン酸成分として1,2,4,5-シクロヘキサンテトラカルボン酸二無水物(三菱ガス化学株式会社製)16.47g(0.07モル)とγ-ブチロラクトン(三菱ケミカル株式会社製)13.45gを一括で添加した後、イミド化触媒としてトリエチルアミン(関東化学株式会社製)3.54gを投入し、マントルヒーターで加熱し、約20分かけて反応系内温度を190℃まで上げた。留去される成分を捕集し、回転数を粘度上昇に合わせて調整しつつ、反応系内温度を190℃に保持して5時間還流した。
その後、γ-ブチロラクトン(三菱ケミカル株式会社製)112.1gを添加して、反応系内温度を120℃まで冷却した後、さらに約3時間攪拌して均一化し、固形分濃度20質量%のポリイミド溶液を得た。続いてガラス板上へ、得られたポリイミド溶液を塗布し、ホットプレートで100℃、60分間保持し、溶媒を揮発させることで自己支持性を有する無色透明な一次乾燥フィルムを得た。このフィルムをステンレス枠に固定し、熱風乾燥機中250℃で2時間加熱し溶媒を蒸発させ、厚み74μmのフィルムを得た。結果を表1に示す。
ステンレス製半月型攪拌翼、窒素導入管、冷却管を取り付けたディーンスターク、温度計、ガラス製エンドキャップを備えた300mLの5つ口丸底フラスコに、ジアミン成分として9,9-ビス(4-アミノフェニル)フルオレン(田岡化学工業株式会社製)4.88g(0.014モル)及び2,2-ビス[4-(4-アミノフェノキシ)フェニル]プロパン(和歌山精化工業株式会社製)11.49g(0.028モル)、5(6)-アミノ-1,3,3-トリメチル-1-(4-アミノフェニル)-インダン(日本純良薬品株式会社製)7.46g(0.028モル)、γ-ブチロラクトン(三菱ケミカル株式会社製)45.34gを投入し、系内温度70℃、窒素雰囲気下、回転数200rpmで攪拌して溶液を得た。
この溶液に、テトラカルボン酸成分として1,2,4,5-シクロヘキサンテトラカルボン酸二無水物(三菱ガス化学株式会社製)16.47g(0.07モル)とγ-ブチロラクトン(三菱ケミカル株式会社製)11.33gを一括で添加した後、イミド化触媒としてトリエチルアミン(関東化学株式会社製)3.54gを投入し、マントルヒーターで加熱し、約20分かけて反応系内温度を190℃まで上げた。留去される成分を捕集し、回転数を粘度上昇に合わせて調整しつつ、反応系内温度を190℃に保持して5時間還流した。
その後、γ-ブチロラクトン(三菱ケミカル株式会社製)94.45gを添加して、反応系内温度を120℃まで冷却した後、さらに約3時間攪拌して均一化し、固形分濃度20質量%のポリイミド溶液を得た。続いてガラス板上へ、得られたポリイミド溶液を塗布し、ホットプレートで100℃、60分間保持し、溶媒を揮発させることで自己支持性を有する無色透明な一次乾燥フィルムを得た。このフィルムをステンレス枠に固定し、熱風乾燥機中250℃で2時間加熱し溶媒を蒸発させ、厚み85μmのフィルムを得た。結果を表1に示す。
ステンレス製半月型攪拌翼、窒素導入管、冷却管を取り付けたディーンスターク、温度計、ガラス製エンドキャップを備えた300mLの5つ口丸底フラスコに、ジアミン成分として9,9-ビス(4-アミノフェニル)フルオレン(田岡化学工業株式会社製)9.76g(0.028モル)及び2,2-ビス[4-(4-アミノフェノキシ)フェニル]プロパン(和歌山精化工業株式会社製)2.87g(0.007モル)、4,4’-ジアミノ-2,2’-ビス(トリフルオロメチル)ビフェニル(和歌山精化工業株式会社製)11.21g(0.035モル)、γ-ブチロラクトン(三菱ケミカル株式会社製)45.35gを投入し、系内温度70℃、窒素雰囲気下、回転数200rpmで攪拌して溶液を得た。
この溶液に、テトラカルボン酸成分として1,2,4,5-シクロヘキサンテトラカルボン酸二無水物(三菱ガス化学株式会社製)16.47g(0.07モル)とγ-ブチロラクトン(三菱ケミカル株式会社製)11.34gを一括で添加した後、イミド化触媒としてトリエチルアミン(関東化学株式会社製)3.54gを投入し、マントルヒーターで加熱し、約20分かけて反応系内温度を190℃まで上げた。留去される成分を捕集し、回転数を粘度上昇に合わせて調整しつつ、反応系内温度を190℃に保持して5時間還流した。
その後、γ-ブチロラクトン(三菱ケミカル株式会社製)94.47gを添加して、反応系内温度を120℃まで冷却した後、さらに約3時間攪拌して均一化し、固形分濃度20質量%のポリイミド溶液を得た。続いてガラス板上へ、得られたポリイミド溶液を塗布し、ホットプレートで100℃、60分間保持し、溶媒を揮発させることで自己支持性を有する無色透明な一次乾燥フィルムを得た。このフィルムをステンレス枠に固定し、熱風乾燥機中250℃で2時間加熱し溶媒を蒸発させ、厚み69μmのフィルムを得た。結果を表1に示す。

HFBAPP:2,2-ビス[4-(4-アミノフェノキシ)フェニル]ヘキサフルオロプロパン〔式(b-3)で表される化合物〕
TMDA:5(6)-アミノ-1,3,3-トリメチル-1-(4-アミノフェニル)-インダン〔式(b-4)で表される化合物〕
TFMB:4,4’-ジアミノ-2,2’-ビス(トリフルオロメチル)ビフェニル〔式(b-5)で表される化合物〕
Claims (9)
- テトラカルボン酸又はその誘導体に由来する構成単位A、及びジアミンに由来する構成単位Bを有するポリイミドであって、
構成単位Aが、下記式(a-1)で表される化合物に由来する構成単位(A-1)を含み、
構成単位Bが、下記式(b-1)で表される化合物に由来する構成単位(B-1)と、下記式(b-2)で表される化合物に由来する構成単位(B-2)と、下記式(b-3)で表される化合物に由来する構成単位(B-3)、下記式(b-4)で表される化合物に由来する構成単位(B-4)、及び下記式(b-5)で表される化合物に由来する構成単位(B-5)から選ばれる少なくとも1つの構成単位と、を含み、
構成単位Bに対する構成単位(B-1)の割合が50モル%未満であり、構成単位Bに対する構成単位(B-2)の割合が15モル%以上であり、構成単位Bに対する構成単位(B-1)及び構成単位(B-2)の合計が占める割合が40モル%以上である、ポリイミド。
(式(b-1)中、Rはそれぞれ独立して、水素原子、フッ素原子又はメチル基を表わす。) - 構成単位Bに対する構成単位(B-1)の割合が5~45モル%である、請求項1に記載のポリイミド。
- 構成単位Bに対する構成単位(B-2)の割合が15~70モル%である、請求項1又は2に記載のポリイミド。
- 構成単位Bに対する構成単位(B-3)、構成単位(B-4)及び構成単位(B-5)の合計が占める割合が5~60モル%である、請求項1~3のいずれかに記載のポリイミド。
- 前記構成単位Bに対する構成単位(B-3)の割合が10~60モル%である、請求項4に記載のポリイミド。
- 前記構成単位Bに対する構成単位(B-4)の割合が10~60モル%である、請求項4に記載のポリイミド。
- 前記構成単位Bに対する構成単位(B-5)の割合が5~40モル%である、請求項4に記載のポリイミド。
- 請求項1~7のいずれかに記載のポリイミドが有機溶媒に溶解してなる、ポリイミドワニス。
- 請求項1~7のいずれかに記載のポリイミドを含む、ポリイミドフィルム。
