Description

光学フィルムおよび表示体
 本発明は、計算機によって計算された空間情報の位相成分を記録するための、例えばホログラムに適用される光学フィルムおよび表示体に関する。
 近年、計算機によって計算された光の干渉に基づいて制御される光学フィルムとして、計算機合成ホログラムに関する以下の先行技術文献があげられる。
 先行技術文献の例は、証券、カード媒体および個人認証媒体において使用されるものである。例えば非特許文献1には、光の干渉効果を計算機によって計算する手法が開示されている。
 干渉縞の情報は光の振幅強度の情報であり、光の振幅強度を光学フィルム上で記録する場合には、記録の方法によるが、再生時に光の強度を落としてしまう可能性がある。また、特許文献1および特許文献2には、参照光と物体光の、光の干渉波の強度を計算し、干渉縞を作製することが開示されている。

 しかしながら、この方法は、参照光が前提となった計算方法であり、物体光を再生する場合には、計算時に定義した参照光の情報が必要となってしまう。つまり、記録時の参照光の情報と同じ条件で光学フィルムを照明した場合にのみ、記録時と同じ条件で再生像が再生される。したがって、再生像は、記録時の参照光の条件に制限された条件でしか得られないという問題がある。
 また、計算機合成ホログラムでは、従来、計算時間の低減や、絵柄の作製や、他の光学フィルムとの組み合せ等といった個々の課題を解決する方法はあるものの、これらを同時に解決するのに適した技術は、今までのところ実現されてない。
 本発明はこのような背景を鑑みてなされたものであり、記録時の参照光の条件を用いずに再生像を再生できるように、計算機によって計算された空間情報の位相成分を記録する光学フィルムおよび該光学フィルムが貼り付けられた表示体を提供することを目的とする。
 上記の目的を達成するために、本発明では、以下のような手段を講じる。
 請求項1の発明は、記録面を備えた光学フィルムにおいて、記録面は、再生像の各再生点からの光の位相成分が計算される、各再生点に1対1で対応する計算要素区画と、位相成分に基づいて計算された位相角が記録される位相角記録領域と、位相角が記録されない位相角非記録領域とを有し、計算要素区画と位相角記録領域とが重なる重複領域に、位相成分に基づいて計算された位相角を記録する。
 請求項2の発明は、請求項1の発明の光学フィルムにおいて、各再生点からの光の位相成分を単位ブロック毎に計算し、位相成分に基づいて計算された位相角を、位相角記録領域に単位ブロック毎に記録する。
 請求項3の発明は、請求項2の発明の光学フィルムにおいて、計算要素区画は、下記式に示す視野角θによって規定され、

 請求項1の発明の光学フィルムによれば、計算要素区画を設けることによって、計算機による計算時間を短縮し、空間情報のノイズを減らし、鮮明なホログラムを得ることが可能となる。
 この計算では特に、光の振幅情報はそのままで、位相角のみを計算する。従って、光の位相成分のみが変調され、光の振幅については理論上変調されない。このため、明るさを変化させることなく、高輝度を保ったまま光を制御することが可能となる。
 また、位相角を記録するための位相角記録領域と、位相角が記録されない位相角非記録領域とを分けて設けることによって、計算機による計算時間をさらに短縮することも可能となる。それに加えて、光学フィルムに当たる光の割合をコントロールすることも可能となる。
 さらには、再生点において再生される再生像の明るさを、位相角非記録領域を設けない場合に対して、(位相角記録領域)/(位相角記録領域+位相角非記録領域)だけ暗くすることができる。これによって、光の明暗をコントロールすることが可能となる。
 また位相角記録領域に光が照射された場合にのみ、再生点にホログラムを再生することが可能となる。すなわち、位相角記録領域が大きいほど、明るい再生像を再生することができ、小さいほど、暗い再生像しか再生できないようにすることができる。
 請求項2の発明の光学フィルムによれば、各再生点からの光の位相成分を単位ブロック毎に計算し、位相成分に基づいて計算された位相角を、位相角記録領域に単位ブロック毎に記録することができる。
 請求項3の発明の光学フィルムによれば、視野角θに基づいて計算要素区画を具体的に規定することができる。
 請求項4の発明の光学フィルムによれば、位相成分に基づいて位相角を計算することができる。
 請求項5の発明の光学フィルムによれば、位相角記録領域に、機械読取可能なコードを記録することができる。
 請求項6の発明の光学フィルムによれば、位相角非記録領域を鏡面とすることができる。
 請求項7の発明の光学フィルムによれば、位相角非記録領域に、位相角以外の情報を記録することによって、位相角非記録領域上で、光の位相成分以外をコントロールすることが可能となる。
 請求項8の発明の光学フィルムによれば、位相角非記録領域に記録する位相角以外の情報を、光の散乱、反射、および回折特性のうちの少なくとも何れかにすることによって、異なる光の効果を用いて多種光の制御を行い、複雑な目視効果を実現することが可能となる。
 請求項9の発明の光学フィルムによれば、計算時間を短縮することができ、特に、ストライプの方向を垂直方向とすることによって、水平方向の光の効果について影響を与えないようにすることが可能となる。同様に、ストライプの方向を水平方向とすることによって、垂直方向の光の効果について影響を与えないようにすることが可能となる。
 請求項10の発明の光学フィルムによれば、水平方向および垂直方向に与える光の効果をそれぞれ制御することが可能となる。
 請求項11の発明の光学フィルムによれば、位相角記録領域を、文字や絵柄を表わす図形の形状とすることによって、文字や絵柄に3次元的な動的効果を与えることが可能となる。
 請求項12の発明の光学フィルムによれば、図形を、個人認証情報として利用することが可能となる。
 請求項13の発明の光学フィルムによれば、計算要素区画が、位相角記録領域内で重ならないので、再生点における再生像のコントラストを最大に高めることが可能となる。
 請求項14の発明の光学フィルムによれば、複数の再生点と記録面(XY平面)との距離(Z方向)を等しくすることによって、1つの再生点について位相角を計算すれば、その計算結果の複製を、他の再生点についての位相角の計算結果に流用できるために、計算時間の短縮化を図ることが可能となる。
 請求項15の発明の光学フィルムによれば、計算要素区画毎に異なる色を印刷し、複合することによって、再生点毎に色を変えて再生像を再生することが可能となる。

 以下、本発明の実施形態について、図面を参照して詳細に説明する。なお、同様または類似した機能を発揮する構成要素には、全ての図面を通じて同一の参照符号を付し、重複する説明は省略する。
 (第1の実施形態) 
 図1は、本発明の第1の実施形態に係る光学フィルムを説明するための概要図である。
 同実施形態に係る光学フィルム10は、記録面14を備えている。記録面14は、基材11の表面に設けられている。
 記録面14は、位相角記録領域18と、位相角非記録領域20とを有する。記録面14において、位相角記録領域18以外の領域は、位相角非記録領域20となる。位相角非記録領域20は、一例において、鏡面である。
 図2は、視野角方向をX方向とした場合における視野角θを説明するための図である。
 記録面14上には、再生像が再生される各再生点22からの視野角θに応じて、計算要素区画16がそれぞれ規定される。このように、計算要素区画16は、位相角記録領域18および位相角非記録領域20とは独立して規定されるので、通常は、位相角記録領域18および位相角非記録領域20と個々に重なり合う。
 また、再生点22は、複数存在する。したがって、計算要素区画16は、複数の再生点22の各々に対応して、再生点22と同数存在する。
 また、再生点22は、離間して配置されている。再生点22の記録面14からの距離は、5mm以上、25mm以下に再生されるのが好ましい。なお、再生点22は、記録面14から観察者側に再生される場合と、記録面14の観察者と反対側に再生される場合とがある。どちらの場合でも、再生点22の記録面14からの距離は同様に規定できる。
 再生点22からの視野角θは、下記の(1)式によって定義される。

ここで、(λ/2d)≦1である場合、A=asin(λ/2d)、λは光の波長、dは単位ブロック12の視野角方向における配列間隔、mは3以上の実数である。配列間隔は、単位ブロック12の中心間距離とすることができる。
 図2では、1つの再生点22によって規定される計算要素区画16が例示されている。図2に例示されるように、視野角θは、着目する再生点22から記録面14を見た場合におけるX方向の範囲によって決定され、X方向の最小値Xminと、着目する再生点22と、X方向の最大値Xmaxとでなす角2θの1/2となる。なお、X方向、Y方向は、夫々、図中における記録面14の右側をX方向、上側をY方向としたユークリッド座標のX座標軸、Y座標軸に相当する。
 なお、視野角方向をY方向とした場合における視野角θも同様にして規定される。すなわち、視野角θは、着目する再生点22から記録面14を見た場合におけるY方向の範囲によって決定され、Y方向の最小値Yminと、着目する再生点22と、Y方向の最大値Ymaxとでなす角2θの1/2となる。したがって、単位ブロック12の配列間隔dは、視野角方向がX方向である場合には、単位ブロック12のX方向の配列間隔dに相当し、視野角方向がY方向である場合には、単位ブロック12のY方向の配列間隔dに相当する。
 このため、計算要素区画16は、一般的には正方形または長方形となる。しかし、計算要素区画16を、四角形以外の多角形、または円あるいは楕円としてもよい。多角形では、特に正方形、長方形に加えて、六角形も適している。計算要素区画16が正方形または長方形以外である場合には、計算要素区画16のX方向の最小値(下限値)を、Xmin、計算要素区画16のX方向の最大値(上限限値)をXmaxとする。同様に、計算要素区画16のY方向の最小値をYmin、計算要素区画16のY方向の最大値Ymaxとする。
 単位ブロック12の形状が、正方形または長方形である場合、実際には、正方形や長方形の角が丸みを帯びた角丸方形となる。また、単位ブロック12は、隣接した単位ブロック12と融合していても良い。この場合は、各単位ブロック12の形状としては、角丸方形であっても、単位ブロック12が融合した形状としては、角丸方形とはならず、変形するが、融合により変形しても光学的効果は変わらない。単位ブロック12は、整然配列されているのが好ましい。整然配列としては、一定範囲の間隔での配列、等間隔の配列とすることができる。典型的な整然配列としては、正方配列や、六方配列である。
 視野角θは、上記(1)式から分かるように、A未満となる。光がこの位相成分を通過し、回折される場合、理論上Aを超えた回折は生じない。したがって、計算機を用いたホログラム計算を行う場合、計算範囲を、視野角θを上限として制限すればよい。このように、計算範囲を制限することは、計算時間を短縮することになる。また、仮に、視野角θを超えた範囲について計算を行ったとしても、理論的に存在しない回折の計算を行うだけであるので、その結果はノイズとしてしか寄与しない。しかしながら、本実施形態では、視野角θを超えた範囲の計算を行わないので、再生点22上における再生像の再生時にノイズは重畳されない。
 位相角記録領域18も位相角非記録領域20もそれぞれ複数の単位ブロック12を含んでいる。位相角記録領域18のうち、計算要素区画16と重複した領域(「重複領域」として後述する)に含まれる単位ブロック12を対象として、計算機によって、位相成分に基づいて位相角が計算され、計算された位相角が、重複領域に含まれる対応する単位ブロック12に記録される。なお、位相成分に基づく位相角の計算の詳細については、後述する。
 一方、位相角非記録領域20は、たとえ計算要素区画16と重複した場合であっても、計算機によって、計算はされず、位相角非記録領域20には、位相角は記録されない。代わりに、位相角非記録領域20には、例えば光の散乱、反射、および回折特性に関する情報のように、位相角以外の情報が記録される。
 位相角記録領域18は、図3乃至図5に例示するように、記録面14上に複数配置され得る。これら図3乃至図5では、位相角非記録領域20は、1つしか例示されていないが、位相角非記録領域20はまた、記録面14上に複数存在する場合もある。
 図3は、短冊形状をなす複数の位相角記録領域18を、ストライプ形状を形成するように、記録面14上に周期的に配置した例を示している。
 図4は、矩形形状をなす複数の位相角記録領域18を、格子形状を形成するように、記録面14上に2次元状に周期的に配置した例を示している。
 図5は、文字や絵柄を表す形状の図形17を形成するように、位相角記録領域18を配置した例を示している。
 次に、計算機によってなされる、位相成分に基づいた位相角の計算について説明する。
 位相角φは、位相成分W(x,y)から、下記の(2)式および(3)式に従って、計算機によって計算される。

ここで、W(kx,ky)は位相成分、nは再生点22の数(n=0~Nmax)、ampは再生点の光の振幅、iは虚数、λは再生点22にホログラムを再生する際の光の波長、O(x,y,z)は再生点22の座標、(Kx,Ky,0)は単位ブロック12の座標、φは位相角であり、Xmin、Xmax、Ymin、Ymaxは計算要素区画16の範囲を規定する座標であって再生点毎に異なる。
 ampは、一般的には再生点22の光の振幅であるが、視野角θに応じて、光の振幅の値より、大きな値や、小さな値としてよい。一般には、ampは、0より大きく、1以下の値とすることができる。ampは、例えば視野角θが垂直(0度)に近い場合には、大きな値とし(例えば、1)、視野角θが垂直(0度)より遠い場合には、小さな値(例えば、0.5)としてよい。ampは、視野角θに応じてディザ処理をしてもよい。このようにすることで、斜めから観察される再生点22より、垂直方向で、観察される再生点22がより鮮明なものとなる。
 先ず、計算機は、例えば図7に例示するように、1つの再生点22(#a)によって規定される計算要素区画16(#A)と、位相角記録領域18(#1)とが重なる領域である重複領域19(#1)、および、計算要素区画16(#A)と、位相角記録領域18(#2)の一部とが重なる領域である重複領域19(#2-1)に含まれる単位ブロック12を対象として、再生点22(#a)からの光の位相成分W(x,y)を計算する。
 再生点22は、1つまたは複数存在する。したがって、計算要素区画16は、1つまたは複数の再生点22の各々に1対1で対応して、1つまたは複数の再生点22と同数存在する。
 再生点22が、複数存在する場合、計算機はさらに、例えば図7に例示されるように別の再生点22(#b)によって決定される計算要素区画16(#B)と、位相角記録領域18(#2)とが重なる領域である重複領域19(#2)に含まれる単位ブロック12を対象として、再生点22(#b)からの光の位相成分W(x,y)を計算する。
 図7に例示するように、2つの計算要素区画16(#A)、16(#B)が重なり合う場合は、位相成分W(x,y)の和を計算する。
 計算機はさらに、計算された位相成分W(x,y)に基づいて、位相角φを計算し、計算された位相角φの数値情報を、対応する重複領域19に記録する。
 ところで、単位ブロック12に数値情報を記録する回数が増加すると、それに伴って情報量も増加し、計算時間も増大する。情報量が多すぎると、再生点22において再生される再生像のコントラストが落ちる要因ともなる。よって、たとえば、重複領域19(#2-1)のように、複数の再生点22(#a、#b)の位相角記録領域18が重なる部分について、より明瞭な再生像を得るためには、重なり量が少なく、重なる回数が少ない方が好ましい。
 したがって、記録面14上に計算要素区画16が複数存在する場合には、複数の計算要素区画16が、少なくとも位相角記録領域18において重ならないようにすることが理想的である。これを図8を用いて説明する。
 図8は、2つの計算要素区画16(#A)、16(#B)が重なっていない状態を例示する概念図である。例えばこのように計算要素区画16を配置すれば、複数の計算要素区画16が、位相角記録領域18において重なることは無い。これによって、記録面14上での計算要素区画16の重なりが無くなり、再生像のコントラストを最大限に高めることが可能となる。また、計算要素区画16の重なりを無くすことによって、計算要素区画16毎に異なる色を着色し、複合することによって、再生点22毎に色を変えて再生像を再生することも可能となる。再生点の光の振幅ampを計算要素区画16毎に変調することで、再生像のコントラストを高めることもできる。ただし、計算要素区画16の重なりを無くすように配置するためには、再生点22の個数も限定され得ることも言及しておく。
 次に、以上のように構成した本発明の第1の実施形態に係る光学フィルム10の作用について説明する。
 まず、本実施形態に係る光学フィルム10を対象として、計算機を用いてホログラム計算が行われる場合、各再生点22からの視野角θの上限が規定される。さらには、記録面14上に位相角記録領域18が設けられる。記録面14上における位相角記録領域18以外の領域は、位相角非記録領域20となる。
 そして、視野角θによって規定される計算要素区画16と、位相角記録領域18とが重複する領域である重複領域19における単位ブロック12に対して、位相成分W(x、y)が計算され、位相成分W(x、y)から位相角φが計算される。前述したように、視野角θの上限が規定され、位相角φが計算される領域も重複領域19に限定されるので、計算時間は短縮される。そして、計算された位相角φは、重複領域19における対応する単位ブロック12に記録される。図9は、位相角φが記録された単位ブロック12の一例を示すSEM画像である。図9に示される単位ブロック12は、一辺の長さがdである正方形をしており、X方向とY方向との両方において配列間隔dで2次元配列されている。
 これによって、再生点22では、位相角記録領域18に光が当たった場合にのみ再生像が再生されるようになる。したがって、光の当たり方を制御することによって、再生点22における再生をスイッチすることが可能となる。しかも、本実施形態では、光の振幅情報はそのままで、位相角φのみが計算される。すなわち、光の位相成分W(x、y)のみが変調され、光の振幅については理論上変調されない。このため、明るさを変化させることなく、高輝度を保ったまま光を制御することが可能となる。
 さらには、視野角θの上限が規定されており、これによって、ノイズとしての寄与する範囲の計算はなされなくなることから、再生点22上における再生像の再生時のノイズの重畳が回避され、より鮮明な再生像が得られるようになる。
 さらにまた、記録面14における位相角記録領域18の占有率を変化させることによって、再生像の明るさを制御することも可能となる。すなわち、再生点22においてホログラムの再生像が再生される際の明るさを、位相角非記録領域20を設けない場合に対して、(位相角記録領域)/(位相角記録領域+位相角非記録領域)だけ暗くすることができる。これによって、光の明暗をコントロールすることが可能となる。位相角記録領域18に光が照射された場合にのみ、再生点22に再生像が再生されることから、位相角記録領域18が大きいほど、明るい再生像を再生することができ、小さいほど、暗い再生像しか再生されないようになる。
 ただし、記録面14における位相角記録領域18の合計サイズが大きいほど、計算機による計算量が増加し、小さいほど、計算量は少なくて済む。このように、再生像の明るさと、計算機による計算量とは、トレードオフの関係にあるので、記録面14における位相角記録領域18の合計サイズの大きさは、設計条件に応じて最適に選択されるものとする。
 本実施形態では、位相角記録領域18の配置例として、図3乃至図5が示された。
 図3のように、上下方向に延びるストライプ状の位相角記録領域18とした場合は、ストライプ方向の光の効果について影響を与えずに再生点22において再生像を再生することが可能となる。すなわち、再生点22において再生された再生像を、ストライプ方向(この場合、上下方向)から見た場合、連続した像として見ることができる。一方、ストライプ方向と直交する方向(この場合、左右方向)から見た場合、ストライプの幅が、人間の目の解像度よりも大きければ、不連続な像として見られる。ただし、この場合であっても、ストライプの幅を、人間の目の解像度よりも小さくすれば、見た目にもストライプが有るか否かを識別することはできず、連続した像として見られるようになるので、人間の目に影響を与えずに、計算時間だけ短縮することも可能となる。
 なお、ストライプ形状は、図3に例示するような上下方向のものに限定されることはなく、左右方向でも、斜め方向でも問題なく再生点22において再生像を再生することができる。ストライプ方向が左右方向もしくは斜め方向であっても、前述したように、ストライプ方向から見た場合は、連続した像として見ることができ、ストライプ方向と直交する方向から見た場合には、ストライプの幅が人間の目の解像度よりも大きい場合には、不連続な像として見ることができ、ストライプの幅が人間の目の解像度よりも小さい場合には、連続的な像として見ることができる。
 図4のように、位相角記録領域18の形状を、矩形形状にした場合には、計算時間を短縮することが可能となるのみならず、さらに上下左右で光の効果をコントロールしながら再生点22において再生像を再生することも可能となる。すなわち、図4のような構成によれば、図3について、ストライプ方向と直交する方向から見た場合の効果が、X方向についても、Y方向についても得られるようになる。すなわち、X方向から見た場合も、Y方向から見た場合も、ストライプの幅が人間の目の解像度よりも大きい場合には、不連続な像として見ることができ、ストライプの幅が人間の目の解像度よりも小さい場合には、連続的な像として見ることができる。
 図5のように位相角記録領域18によって、形状自体に意味のある図形17を形成すれば、再生点22において再生される再生像に意味を持たせ、3次元的な動的効果を与えることができるので、例えば、個人認証情報として利用することが可能となる。
 図10は、再生された再生像を、個人認証情報に利用した例を例示する図である。
 位相角記録領域18において意味のある形状の図形17(例えば、使用する個人の名前や、顔写真等)を形成しておく。正確には、図形17における点線部が、位相角記録領域18に相当し、図形17におけるマークの目と口の部分が、位相角非記録領域20に相当する。そして、それに応じて、身分証明書等の個人認証媒体31における再生点22において、その図形17に応じた再生像が再生される。この再生像は、視認可能なものとする。この再生像によって、絵柄のみならず、文字を再生することも可能である。
 一方、本実施形態では、位相角非記録領域20に、位相角φ以外の情報が記録され得る。位相角φ以外の情報とは、例えば、光の散乱、反射、および回折特性のうちの少なくとも何れかであり、このように、異なる光の効果を加えることによって、光の位相成分以外の様々な種類の光の制御を行い、複雑な目視効果を実現することができる。
 また、本実施形態では、図7に例示されるように、複数の計算要素区画16(例えば、計算要素区画16(#A)、16(#B))が、同一の位相角記録領域18において重なる場合も排除しない。しかしながら、図8に例示されるように、複数の計算要素区画16(例えば、計算要素区画16(#A)、16(#B))が重ならなければ、再生点22においてホログラムを再生した場合における、再生像のコントラストを最大に高めることが可能となる。
 また、本実施形態では、図6乃至図8に例示されるように、記録面(XY平面)までの距離(Z方向)が異なる複数の再生点22(例えば、再生点22(#a)、22(#b))の存在を排除しない。しかしながら、図11に例示されるように、記録面14(XY平面)までの距離(Z方向)が等しい複数の再生点22(例えば、再生点22(#c)、22(#d))を有することによって、これら再生点22(例えば、再生点22(#c)、22(#d))について、位相角φを等しくすることができる。これによって、1つの再生点22(例えば、再生点22(#c))について位相角φの計算を行えば、その計算結果の複製を、他の再生点22(例えば、再生点22(#d))についての位相角φの計算に流用できるため、計算時間の短縮化を図ることが可能となる。
 また、本実施形態に係る光学フィルム10によれば、複数の計算要素区画16毎に、それぞれ異なる色を着色し、複合することによって、再生点22毎に色を変えて再生像を再生することも可能となる。
 (第2の実施形態) 
 第1の実施形態では、重複領域19における単位ブロック12に、対応する位相角φの数値情報を記録することについて説明した。本実施形態に係る光学フィルム10では、重複領域19における単位ブロック12に、位相角φの数値情報を記録する代わりに、計算機が、位相角φを、対応する単位ブロック12の凹凸の高さに変換し、位相角φに対応する高さを有する凹凸を、重複領域19の単位ブロック12に形成することによって、位相角φを重複領域19の単位ブロック12に記録する。
 図12は、位相角φに対応する凹凸が形成された単位ブロック12を含む光学フィルム10の例を示す断面図である。
 位相角φを、凹凸の高さに変換する際には、計算機が、位相角φを0~2πの範囲で計算し、さらに計算結果を画像に出力するために、8ビットのグレースケール値に変換する。この場合、2πが8ビットのグレースケール値の255に相当する。その後、計算結果を元に、電子線描画機によって、レジスト基材へ描画を施す。
 電子線描画機がマルチレベルの描画に対応できない場合には、同一箇所にパワーの異なる描画を多段階行うことによって、マルチレベルに近い描画を行うようにしても良い。3回描画することによって、8段階のマルチレベルを表現することが可能となる。その後、レジストの現像処理、電鋳処理を行う。レジスト基材へ描画を施す際には、4段階、8段階で位相角を記録するのが好ましい。特に、4段階が加工上好適である。
 位相角φは、電子線のドーズ量を変調することで記録できる。ドーズ量に伴ってレジストの深さは変化する。この深さによって位相角φを記録面に記録できる。
 その原版を用いて、熱可塑性樹脂、熱硬化性樹脂、UV樹脂等にて、例えば図12(a)に示すように基材11に面して設けられた位相角記録層24に対して、凹凸を形成する。このようにして、位相角φに対応する凹凸が形成された単位ブロック12を得る。
 また、反射光を観察する場合には、図12(b)のように、位相角記録層24の表面に、反射層26をコーディングしても良い。なお、反射光を観察せず、透過光のみを観察する場合には、図12(a)のように、位相角記録層24の表面に反射層26をコーディングしなくても良い。
 以上は、原版を用いて、位相角φに対応する凹凸が形成された単位ブロック12を形成する例について説明したが、他の手法として、ハロゲン化銀露光材料を露光現像し、漂白後現像銀をハロゲン化銀などの銀塩に変えて透明にするようにしても良い。あるいは光によって屈折率や表面の形状が変化するサーモプラスチック等も利用するようにしても良い。
 図13は、図12の応用例であり、必要に応じて、基材11に剥離層27を積層し、さらに剥離層27に位相角記録層24を積層し、さらに位相角記録層24に粘着層28を積層し、この粘着層28によって、対象物に貼り付け可能な構成とした光学フィルム10を例示する断面図である。なお、図13(a)および図13(b)は、図12(a)および図12(b)にそれぞれ対応しており、図13(a)は、位相角記録層24に、反射層26がコーティングされていない光学フィルム10の構成例を、図13(b)は、位相角記録層24に、反射層26がコーティングされている光学フィルム10の構成例をそれぞれ例示している断面図である。
 図14(a)および図14(b)は、図13(a)および図13(b)にそれぞれ対応しており、粘着層28を介して、対象物29に転写された後に、剥離層27から基材11が剥離された光学フィルム10を含む表示体40の構成例を示す断面図である。
 なお、基材11に用いる材料は、ガラス基材のようなリジッドなものでも良いし、フィルム基材でも良い。例えば、PET(ポリエチレンテレフタレート)、PEN(ポリエチレンナフタレート)、PP(ポリプロピレン)等のプラスチックフィルムを用いることができるが、位相角記録層24を設けた際にかかる熱や圧力等によって変形や変質の少ない材料を用いることが望ましい。なお、用途や目的によっては紙や合成紙、プラスチック複層紙や樹脂含浸紙等を基材11として用いても良い。
 剥離層27には、樹脂および滑剤を用いることができる。樹脂としては、熱可塑性樹脂、熱硬化性樹脂、紫外線硬化性樹脂、電子線硬化性樹脂等が好適である。樹脂としては、アクリル樹脂やポリエステル樹脂、ポリアミド樹脂である。また、滑剤としては、ポリエチレンパウダー、パラフィンワックス、シリコーン、カルナバロウ等のワックスが好適である。これらは剥離層27として、基材11にグラビア印刷法やマイクログラビア法等のような公知の塗布方式によって形成される。剥離層27の厚みは、例えば0.1μm及至2μmの範囲内が好ましい。
 位相角記録層24には、樹脂を用いることができる。樹脂としては、熱可塑性樹脂、熱硬化性樹脂、紫外線硬化性樹脂、ラジカル重合性不飽和基を有する熱成形性材料、電子線硬化性樹脂等が好適である。樹脂として、ウレタン樹脂、ポリカーボネート樹脂、ポリスチレン樹脂、ポリ塩化ビニル樹脂の熱可塑性樹脂、不飽和ポリエステル樹脂、メラミン樹脂、エポキシ樹脂、ウレタン(メタ)アクリレート、ポリエステル(メタ)アクリレート、エポキシ(メタ)アクリレート、ポリオール(メタ)アクリレート、メラミン(メタ)アクリレート、トリアジン(メタ)アクリレートが用いられる。位相角記録層24の厚みは、例えば0.5μm及至5μmの範囲内が好ましい。
 反射層26は、例えば、インキを用いて形成する。このインキは、印刷方式に応じて、オフセットインキ、活版インキ、およびグラビアインキ等を用いることができ、組成の違いに応じて、例えば、樹脂インキ、油性インキ、および水性インキが挙げられる。また、乾燥方式の違いに応じて、例えば、酸化重合型インキ、浸透乾燥型インキ、蒸発乾燥型インキおよび紫外線硬化型インキが挙げられる。
 また、反射層26の材料の例として、照明角度または観察角度に応じて色が変化する機能性インキを使用しても良い。このような機能性インキとしては、例えば、光学的変化インキ(Optical Variable Ink)、カラーシフトインキおよびパールインキが挙げられる。
 反射層26の材料として無機化合物も用いられる。無機化合物としては、金属化合物が好適であり、例えば、TiO、Si、SiO、Fe、ZnSが用いられる。無機化合物は、屈折率が高く反射率を高めやすい。また、反射層26の材料として金属が用いられる。金属は、Al、Ag、Sn、Cr、Ni、Cu、Auを用いることができる。気相堆積法により無機化合物、金属を用いた反射層26を形成することができる。気相堆積法としては蒸着、CVD、スパッタを用いることができる。反射層26の厚みは、40nm以上、1000nm以下とすることができる。反射層26の反射率は、30%以上70%以下が好ましい、30%以上であれば、下地の印刷層があっても、十分な反射が得られる。70%より反射率が高いと下地の印刷層を観察しづらくなる。
 図14に示す表示体40は、光学フィルム10が対象物29に貼り付けられてなる。対象物29としては、紙幣、クーポン、スタンプ、カード、サイネージ、ポスター、タグ、シール等である。粘着層28は、対象物29と密着できれば良く、材質は問わず、例えば、接着剤等で良い。
 対象物29は、紙、ポリマー等、粘着層28を介して貼り付け可能なものであれば、特に限定されない。
 また、擦れ等により、容易に傷がつくと再生像にボケが発生するため、表示体40の表面に保護層(図示せず)を設けてもよい。保護層は、ハードコート性も付与することができる。ハードコート性は、鉛筆硬度試験(JIS K5600-5-4)において、H以上5H以下の硬度であるとすることができる。
 表示体40の表面の20°グロス(Gs(20°))は15以上70以下が好ましい。20°グロス(Gs(20°))が15に満たない場合、防眩性が強くなり、再生点22がうまく結像しなくなる。一方、20°グロス(Gs(20°))が70を超えるような場合、防眩性が不十分なため再生像に反射光が映りこみ、再生像の撮像、観察が困難となる。なお、より好ましい20°グロス(Gs(20°))は、20以上60以下の範囲内である。
 また、位相角記録層24の透過像鮮明度(C(0.125)+C(0.5)+C(1.0)+C(2.0))の値は、200%以上であることが好ましい。また、位相角記録層24のヘイズ(Hz)は1.0%以上25%以下とすることができる。20°グロスの測定は、光沢度計(BYK-Gardner製micro-TRI-gloss)を用い、JIS-K7105-1981に基づきを測定した。透過鮮明度の測定は、写像測定器(スガ試験機社製、商品名;ICM-1DP)を用い、JIS-K7105-1981に基づき測定した。
 防眩性フィルムを透過する光は、移動する光学くしを通して測定した際の最高波長Mおよび最低波長mから、C=(M-m)/(M+m)×100の式に基づく計算により求められる。透過画像鮮明度C(%)は、値が大きいほど、画像が鮮明で、良好であることを表す。測定には4種類の幅の光学くし(0.125mm、0.5mm、1.0mm、2.0mm)を使用したので、100%×4=400%が最大値となる。
 へイズ(Hz)は、ヘイズメータ(日本電色工業製NDH2000)を用いJIS-K7105-1981に準じてヘイズ(Hz)を測定した。
 全光線反射率は、JIS-K7105に準じ、例えば、日立ハイテクノロジーズ社製分光光度計であるU-4100と、積分球とを用いて行うことができる。
 なお、変形例として、剥離層27がなく、基材11に位相角記録層24を直接積層した構成の光学フィルム10も可能である。図15(a)および図15(b)は、そのような光学フィルム10が対象物29へ貼り付けられた表示体40の構成例を示す断面図である。この場合、図15(a)および図15(b)に示すように、剥離層27がないことから、対象物29への貼り付け後も、基材11が残っている。
 基材11が印刷層を形成する場合、マット調の用紙を使用するのが好ましい。マット調の用紙としては、上質紙、中質紙、マットコート紙、アート紙等が挙げられる。
 また、図16に示すように、対象物29が機能層30を有し、光の散乱、反射、または回折特性を有する特性を事前に持つことも可能である。図16(a)および図16(b)は、対象物29が機能層30を有する場合における表示体40の構成例を示す断面図であり、図14(a)および図14(b)にそれぞれ対応している。
 図16(b)に示すような構成の場合、反射層26は透光性のある材料あるいは透光性の無い材料であっても、光が透過する様に薄膜で成膜することが好ましい。それにより、反射層26による光学効果と、機能層30による光学効果とを両方同時に発生させることが可能となる。
 対象物29の機能層30には、微細ナノ構造、回折格子構造やマイクロ構造、印刷層などが挙げられる。簡単な例としては、機能層30の部分が印刷層であり、その表面に透明な反射層を持つ機能層を、粘着層28を介して貼り付ける。それにより、機能層30の光学効果と、機能層30の印刷による光学効果との両方を発生させることが可能となる。印刷層は、インキを用いて形成することができる。
 インキは、顔料インキ、染料インキを用いることができる。顔料インキは、無機化合物、有機物を用いることができる。無機物の顔料としては、黒鉛、コバルト、チタンが挙げられる。有機物の顔料としては、フタロシアニン化合物、アゾ顔料、有機錯体が挙げられる。また、蛍光性、りん光性の顔料を用いることもできる。顔料を、ポリマーの母材に分散し、印刷し印刷層を形成できる。ポリマーの母材としては、アクリル樹脂、ウレタン樹脂、ロジン等を用いることができる。顔料の添加量は、0.1%以上、10%以下が好ましい。染料インキとしては、有機物が挙げられる、有機物の染料は、天然染料、合成染料がある。合成染料として、アゾ染料、有機錯体染料等が挙げられる。また、蛍光性、りん光性の染料を用いることもできる。染料を、ポリマーの母材に分散し、印刷し印刷層を形成できる。ポリマーの母材としては、アクリル樹脂、ウレタン樹脂、ロジン等を用いることができる。染料の添加量は、0.5%以上、30%以下が好ましい。
 再生像の識別性を上げるためには、印刷層が低反射であることが好ましい。典型的には、低反射とは、全光線の反射率が1%以上、29%以下であれば良い。マンセル明度において、1~6であれば、自然な色調となり、対応する全光線反射率は、1%以上、29%以下である。
 また、計算要素区画16の配置間隔は、印刷層の網点の間隔との差が3倍以上、10倍以下、または1/3以下、1/10以上であることが好ましい。このようにすれば計算要素区画16と、印刷層の網点とのモアレが発生しない。
 また、図16(b)において位相角記録領域18と位相角非記録領域20とを明記した図17に示すように、位相角記録領域18に反射層26を設け、位相角非記録領域20に反射層26を設けない場合には、位相角非記録領域20では光は透過するので、その場合、反射層26の材料、膜厚によらず対象物29の機能層30の光学効果を発現させることが可能となる。
 また、図18は、図17の一部を変形した構成をしており、図17において位相角記録層24が配置されていない箇所にも位相角記録層24を配置することによって、位相角記録層24が全面にある場合における構成例を示す断面図である。
 図18に示すように、全面に位相角記録層24がある場合であっても、反射層26の有る部分と無い部分とを設けることで、光学効果を発現させることが可能となる。なお、反射層26の有無の製造方法は、反射層26をつけない部分に印刷層を設け、反射層26は、蒸着、スパッタ、印刷等で全面に設け、その後、反射層26をつけない部分に設けた印刷層を剥離することで、反射層26のある部分と無い部分を作製することが可能となる。
 また、図19に示すように、対象物29の機能層30が持つ印刷による絵柄(ABCDEF)33と、離間した再生点22とを組み合わせることで、印刷の絵柄33に合わせて、再生点22の再生する奥行きを変えることによって、印刷の絵柄33を引き立たせる効果を持たせることも可能となる。特に、絵柄33のある部分は絵柄33を強調したいため、図19(a)の平面図に対応する断面図である図19(b)に示すように、再生点22を印刷面から離して再生することにより、複数の再生点22の再生像と、印刷による絵柄33とをはっきり分け、観察者に視認し易くすることが可能となる。
 逆に、図19(b)に示すように、絵柄33の無い部分では再生点22を印刷面に近づけることで、観察者に明瞭な再生点22とすることが可能となる。また、再生点22の印刷面からの距離を前述と逆にすることでも絵柄33を引き立たせる効果を持たせることが可能である。再生点22を絵柄33のある部分だけ粗とし、絵柄33の無い部分だけ密にする等でもこのような効果を発揮することが可能である。対象物29の機能層30の役割としては、印刷の他に、微細ナノ構造、回折格子構造やマイクロ構造、計算機ホログラム等が挙げられる。
 図20に示すように機能層30には、機械読取可能なコードが記録されていてもよい。機械読取可能なコードとしては、QRコード(登録商標)、iQRコード、ARコード、電子透かしを含む。
 図20に示すように、機能層30に、機械読取可能なコード34を配置した場合であっても、機械読取可能なコード34の配置に合わせて、再生点22の再生する奥行きを変えることによって、機械読取可能なコード34を引き立たせ、機械読取可能なコード34がコードリーダによって読み取れられる。特に、機械読取可能なコード34の配置されている部分は、機械読取可能なコード34の読み取り性を上げるために、図20(a)の平面図に対応する断面図である図20(b)に示すように、再生点22を機械読取可能なコード34から離して再生することにより、複数の再生点22の再生像と、機械読取可能なコード34とをはっきり分け、機械読取可能なコード34がコードリーダによって容易に読み取られるようにすることが可能となる。
 また、機械読取可能なコード34は、位相角記録領域18内に設けることが好ましい。機械読取可能なコード34を、通常の印刷物の中に印刷すると、違和感が生じてしまうが、照明や観察角度によって変化する再生像により、変化の乏しい印刷層の機械読取可能なコード34を認知しずらくし、隠蔽することができる。これにより機械読取可能なコードを賦与したことによる意匠の劣化を緩和できる。
 機械読取可能なコード34の訂正率は、20%以上、60%以下が好ましい。機械読取可能なコード34としてQRコードを用いた場合に、誤り補正のレベルはH(訂正率30%)が好ましい。従来のQRコードの代わりにiQRコードコードを用いた場合の誤り補正のレベルはH(訂正率30%)または、S(訂正率50%)が好ましい。
 また、図21(a)および図21(b)のように、再生点22で機械読取可能なコード34を構成することもできる。これを実現するためには、対象物29の機能層30の絵柄の上に透明な反射層が形成された機械読取可能なコード34が記録された光学フィルムをラミネートする。上記構成では機械読取可能なコード34は、通常の照明条件(拡散照明)では、ボケるため、絵柄のみを観察できる。そのため、絵柄のデザインを阻害しない。一方、スマートフォン等のLED照明(ストロボ照明)のような点光源で照明すると、高輝度の機械読取可能なコード34(例えば、QRコード)が再生されるため、このQRコードにカメラの焦点を合わせることができ、機械読取可能なコード34の内容を読み取ることができる。
 機械読取可能なコード34の内容を確実に読み取るためには、機械読取可能なコード34が、対象物29の機能層30から5mmから25mmの間で再生されることが好ましい。これよりも機能層30に近いと、機能層30の絵柄と機械読取可能なコード34との判別性が低下する。一方、これよりも機能層30から離れると、機械読取可能なコード34の再生像がボケやすくなる。
 機械読取可能なコード34の訂正率は、20%以上、60%以下が好ましい。機械読取可能なコード34としてQRコードを用いた場合に、誤り補正のレベルはH(訂正率30%)が好ましい。従来のQRコードの代わりにiQRコードコードを用いた場合の誤り補正のレベルは、H(訂正率30%)またはS(訂正率50%)が好ましい。なお、機械読取可能なコード34を、機能層30と、再生点22との双方に記録しても良い。
 図22は、所望の再生像を再生するための位相角記録領域18に記録するデータの一例を示す平面図である。
 図23は、蛍光塗料36での絵柄を組み合わせた一例である。照明を点灯し、光源にて再生した場合には再生点22が再生され、消灯した場合には蛍光塗料36が塗布された部分が発色することで、照明の点灯時と非点灯時との両方に対応させることが可能となる。
 図24は、照明光源37と、再生点22との形状の関係を示す斜視図である。図23の様に再生点22を離間することで、再生点22によって再生される再生像のサイズによるボケを無くすことが可能である。このとき、図24(a)に示すように、照明光源37が円状である場合、円状の再生点22を再生することが可能であり、図24(b)に示すように、照明光源37’が星型である場合、星形形状の再生点22’像を再生することが可能となる。
 上述したように、本実施形態に係る光学フィルム10によれば、位相角φを、重複領域19の単位ブロック12の凹凸の高さに変換し、位相角φに対応する高さを有する凹凸を、重複領域19の対応する単位ブロック12に形成することによって、再生点22において再生像を再生することが可能となる。
 (第3の実施形態) 
 第1の実施形態では、重複領域19における単位ブロック12に、対応する位相角φの数値情報を記録することについて説明した。本実施形態に係る光学フィルム10では、位相角φの数値情報を記録する代わりに、計算機が、位相角φの変化を、記録面14の屈折率からの変化量に変換する。さらに、計算機が、その屈折率の変化量を実現するボイドに変換する。そして、このボイド23を、例えば、図25に示すように、重複領域の単位ブロック12の場所に相当する基材11に埋め込むことによって、位相角φを重複領域19の単位ブロック12に記録する。
 上述したように、本実施形態に係る光学フィルム10によれば、位相角φの変化を、記録面14の屈折率からの変化量に変換し、その変化量を実現するボイド23を、重複領域の単位ブロック12の場所に相当する基材11に埋め込むことによって、再生点22において再生像を再生することが可能となる。
 ここでは先ず、第1の実施形態で説明したようにして計算された位相角φを用いて再生される再生像のシミュレーションの一例を例示する。
 図26および図27は、図28の各ケースにおけるシミュレーションによって得られた、再生点22において再現される再生像を例示するビットマップ画像である。
 図28は、シミュレーションのための条件を示しており、視野角θとmとの関係を示している。図28に示すような視野角θとmとの組合せを持つ7つのケースについてシミュレーションを行った。ここでは、記録面14のサイズ=250nm、光の波長λ=500nm、記録面14のX方向におけるピクセル数XPIXEL=1024、Y方向におけるピクセル数YPIXEL=1024とした。さらに、再生点22として、図29に例示するような星形形状を想定した。なお、記録面14上において位相角非記録領域20は考慮していない。
 図26は、光が当てられていない状態におけるシミュレーションによって得られたビットマップ画像の例であり、図27は、光が当てられた状態におけるシミュレーションによって得られたビットマップ画像の例である。図26(1)乃至(7)は、ケース1乃至7のそれぞれに対応している。また、図27において、白い部分は、高い凹凸構造に相当し、黒い部分は、低い凹凸構造に対応する。
 mが1の場合、光学理論上の限界である視野角θに相当する。図27に例示されるように、m=3未満(すなわち、ケース4~ケース7)になると、mが小さくなるほどノイズが発生し、星型の再生像がうまく得られなくなることがわかる。したがって、再生像として許容できるのは、限界解像度に対してmが3以上であるケース3、2、1の場合であることがわかる。
 すなわち、前述した(1)式のように定義される視野角θによって規定される計算要素区画16について、位相角φを計算することによって、再生点22において再生される再生像を適切に再現できることが示された。
 次に、記録面14上において位相角非記録領域20を設定することによる計算時間の短縮効果について説明する。
 図30は、記録面14上に位相角非記録領域20を設定することによる計算時間の短縮効果を示すために行われた、図31に示す3つのケース(a、b、c)における形状パターンを示している。ここでは、記録面14のサイズを250nm、光の波長λ=500nm、記録面14のX方向におけるピクセル数XPIXEL=1024、Y方向におけるピクセル数YPIXEL=1024、および再生点22の個数N=170とした。
 ケースaは、図30(a)に例示されるように、記録面14の全面を位相角記録領域18とした形状パターンの場合である。ケースbは、図30(b)に例示されるように、ストライプを形成するように、位相角記録領域18と位相角非記録領域20とを交互に配置した形状パターンの場合である。ケースcは、図30(c)に例示されるように、位相角記録領域18を格子状に配置し、それ以外の領域を、位相角非記録領域20とした形状パターンの場合である。記録面14における位相角記録領域18の占有率は、ケースaが最も高く、ケースb、ケースcになるに従って小さくなる。
 図31は、このような条件の下、各ケースにおける計算に費やされた計算時間をも示している。図31に例示されているように、記録面14における位相角記録領域18の占有率が低くなるほど、すなわち、記録面14における位相角非記録領域20の占有率が高くなるほど、計算時間が短縮されることが分かる。
 なお、図30(a)に例示するようなストライプ状の形状や、図30(b)に例示するような矩形形状は、前述した図10における図形17の点線部内部で実現することも可能である。これによって、絵柄にしながら、計算時間を短縮することも可能となる。
 (変形例) 
 上記各実施形態で説明したような光学フィルム10の変形例について説明する。
 例えば、上記各実施形態に係る光学フィルム10によれば、位相角非記録領域20に、文字や絵柄等を印刷し、位相角非記録領域20を有効に活用することができる。
 図32は、その一例を示す図であって、図32(a)は平面図であり、図32(b)は、図32(a)のA-A’線に沿って切断されてなる断面図を例示している。
 図32に例示される光学フィルム10では、図32(a)の平面図に例示されているように、図3と同様に、短冊形状をなす複数の位相角記録領域18が、ストライプ形状を形成するように、記録面14上に周期的に配置されている。さらに、アルファベットの「A」という文字32が、複数の位相角非記録領域20にわたって印刷されている。
 図32(b)の断面図に例示されているように、位相角記録領域18には、位相角記録層24によって所望の再生像を再生するためのパターンが描画されており、位相角非記録領域20には、インキ等によって、文字32が印刷されている。
 このような光学フィルム10によれば、位相角記録領域18に描画されたパターンによって、再生点22において所望の再生像が再生されるようになるのに加えて、位相角非記録領域20に印刷された文字32も表示されるようになる。したがって、観察者に対して、2種類の情報を伝えることが可能となる。
 位相角非記録領域20を利用して伝えることができる情報は、印刷された文字32に限定されない。図33は、位相角非記録領域20に回折格子を入れ込んだ例を示す平面図である。
 図33に例示される光学フィルム10では、図4と同様に、矩形形状をなす複数の位相角記録領域18が、格子形状を形成するように、記録面14上に2次元状に周期的に配置されている。さらに、位相角非記録領域20に、回折格子が入れ込まれている。
 図33(a)は、位相角非記録領域20の全体にわたって、円弧上の回折格子が入れ込まれた例を示しており、図33(b)は、位相角非記録領域20の全体にわたって、線状の回折格子が入れ込まれた例を示している。
 このように位相角記録領域20に回折格子を入れ込むことによっても、観察者に対して、複数の情報を伝えることが可能となる。なお、位相角非記録領域20に入れ込まれる回折格子は、図33(a)および図33(b)に例示されるような一般的な形状のものに限定されず、任意の形状の回折格子を入れ込むようにしても良い。また、例えば、図10における図形17の位相角非記録領域20に相当する部分(例えば、図形17におけるマークの目と口の部分)に、図32および図33のような他の光学フィルムを入れ込むようにしても良い。また、光の回折特性を利用することに限定されず、光の散乱、反射等の様々な光学特性を利用して、種々の情報を入れることも可能であり、このような構成もまた、本願発明に含まれるものとする。
 以上、本発明を実施するための最良の形態について、添付図面を参照しながら説明したが、本発明はかかる構成に限定されない。特許請求の範囲の発明された技術的思想の範疇において、当業者であれば、各種の変更例および修正例に想到し得るものであり、それら変更例および修正例についても本発明の技術的範囲に属するものと了解される。

Claims (22)

  1.  記録面を備えた光学フィルムであって、
     前記記録面は、
      再生像の各再生点からの光の位相成分が計算される、各再生点に1対1で対応する計算要素区画と、
      前記位相成分に基づいて計算された位相角が記録される位相角記録領域と、
      前記位相角が記録されない位相角非記録領域とを有し、
     前記計算要素区画と前記位相角記録領域とが重なる重複領域に、前記位相成分に基づいて計算された位相角を記録することを特徴とする、光学フィルム。
  2.  前記各再生点からの光の位相成分を単位ブロック毎に計算し、前記位相成分に基づいて計算された位相角を、前記位相角記録領域に前記単位ブロック毎に記録することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の光学フィルム。
  3.  前記計算要素区画は、下記式に示す視野角θによって規定され、
       θ<(A/m)、
    ここで、(λ/2d)≦1である場合、A=asin(λ/2d)であり、λは前記光の波長、dは前記単位ブロックの視野角方向における配列間隔、mは3以上の実数であることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の光学フィルム。
  4.  前記位相角は、前記位相成分から、下記式に従って計算され、

    ここで、W(kx,ky)は位相成分、nは再生点の数(n=0~Nmax)、ampは再生点の光の振幅、iは虚数、λは再生する際の光の波長、O(x,y,z)は前記再生点の座標、(kx,ky,0)は前記単位ブロックの座標、φは位相角であり、Xmin、Xmax、Ymin、Ymaxは前記計算要素区画の範囲を規定する座標であって再生点毎に異なることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の光学フィルム。
  5.  前記位相角記録領域に、機械読取可能なコードを記録したことを特徴とする、請求項1乃至4のうち何れか1項に記載の光学フィルム。
  6.  前記位相角非記録領域が、鏡面であることを特徴とする、請求項1乃至5のうち何れか1項に記載の光学フィルム。
  7.  前記位相角非記録領域に、前記位相角以外の情報を記録することを特徴とする、請求項1乃至6のうち何れか1項に記載の光学フィルム。
  8.  前記位相角以外の情報が、光の散乱、反射、および回折特性のうちの少なくとも何れかを含む情報であることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の光学フィルム。
  9.  短冊形状をなす複数の前記位相角記録領域によってストライプ形状が形成されるように、前記短冊形状をなす複数の位相角記録領域を、前記記録面上に周期的に配置したことを特徴とする、請求項1乃至8のうち何れか1項に記載の光学フィルム。
  10.  矩形形状をなす複数の前記位相角記録領域によって格子形状が形成されるように、前記矩形形状をなす複数の位相角記録領域を、2次元状に周期的に配置したことを特徴とする、請求項1乃至9のうち何れか1項に記載の光学フィルム。
  11.  前記位相角記録領域が、文字や絵柄を表す図形の形状であることを特徴とする、請求項1乃至10のうち何れか1項に記載の光学フィルム。
  12.  前記図形を、個人認証情報として利用することを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の光学フィルム。
  13.  複数の前記計算要素区画が、前記位相角記録領域内で重ならないことを特徴とする、請求項1乃至12のうち何れか1項に記載の光学フィルム。
  14.  複数の前記再生点が、前記記録面と平行な同一平面上に存在することを特徴とする、請求項1乃至13のうち何れか1項に記載の光学フィルム。
  15.  前記重ならない複数の計算要素区画の各々を、異なる色を用いて着色したことを特徴とする、請求項13または14に記載の光学フィルム。
  16.  前記位相角を、前記記録面の単位ブロックの高さとして、前記重複領域に記録したことを特徴とする、請求項1乃至15のうち何れか1項に記載の光学フィルム。
  17.  前記位相角に応じて、前記記録面のボイド量を変調させたボイドを、前記重複領域における対応する単位ブロックに埋め込むことによって、前記位相角を前記重複領域に記録したことを特徴とする、請求項1乃至15のうち何れか1項に記載の光学フィルム。
  18.  請求項1乃至17のうち何れか1項に記載の光学フィルムが、対象物に貼り付けられてなることを特徴とする、表示体。
  19.  前記光学フィルムの記録面上に、透明な反射層を有することを特徴とする、請求項18に記載の表示体。
  20.  前記対象物が機能層を有することを特徴とする、請求項18または19に記載の表示体。
  21.  前記機能層が印刷層であることを特徴とする、請求項20に記載の表示体。
  22.  前記機能層に、機械読取可能なコードを記録したことを特徴とする、請求項20または21に記載の表示体。
