Der Kühlluftstrom 4 kann durch einen Lüfter 5 unterstützt werden. Separat und unabhängig hiervon ist am Unterboden des Fahrzeugs 1 ein Einlass 6 eines Bremskühlkanals 7 vorgesehen, der Kühlluft von der Umströmung des Fahrzeugs 1 abzweigt und diese Kühlluft zur Bremsanlage 9 leitet (Pfeil 8), was sich in oben beschriebener Weise negativ auf die Aerodynamik des Fahrzeugs 1 auswirkt. Die Fig. 2a-d zeigen Ausführungsbeispiele der Erfindung. Fig. 2a zeigt den einfachsten Fall einer konkreten Ausführüngsform der Erfindung, wonach sich die Bremskühleinrichtung des Kühlsystems auf eine Öffnung 10 der Radhausschale 11 beschränkt, die das Radhaus 12 zum Motorraum 13 öffnet. Hierdurch wird der Kühlluftstrom 4 zur Kühlung der Bremsanlage 9 weitergeleitet, nachdem er das Kühlpaket 2 durchströmt hat. Fig. 2b zeigt eine Weiterbildung der Erfindung, wonach die Bremskühleinrichtung zusätzlich einen ersten Bremskühlkanal 22 aufweist. Alternativ kann die Einlassöffnung 21 auch seitlich hinter dem Lüfter 5 positioniert sein, weil der Motorblock (in Fig. 2b nicht gezeigt) den Kühlluftstrom 4 nach dem Austreten aus dem Kühlpaket 2 größtenteils zum seitlichen Umströmen zwingt. Auch sind weitere Positionen der Einlassöffnung möglich, solange gewährleistet wird, dass ein ausreichender KühHuftstrom 4 zur Bremsanlage 9 umgeleitet wird, nachdem der Kühlluftstrom das Kühlpaket 2 durchströmt hat. Auf einen separaten Einiass, der Kühlluft aus der Umströmung des Fahrzeugs 1 abzweigt, kann mithin verzichtet werden, womit sich die angesprochenen Vorteile bezüglich der Aerodynamik und des Kraftstoffverbrauchs des Fahrzeugs 1 ergeben. Fig. 2b zeigt eine Einstellung, bei der der Bremskühlkanal 22 geöffnet ist, während der Bremskühlkanal 24 durch das Verschlusselement 26 geschlossen ist, so dass der Kühlluftstrom 4 zunächst das Kühlpaket 2 durchströmt, bevor es auf die Bremsanlage geleitet wird. Fig. 2c zeigt die umgekehrte Einstellung, bei der das Verschlusselement 26 den Bremskühlkanal 22 schließt und den Bremskühlkanal 24 öffnet. Fig. 2d zeigt die Ausführungsformen gemäß Fig. 2b und 2c in einer Draufsicht, wobei die zweiten Bremskühlkanäle 24 sowie das Verschlusselement nicht dargestellt sind.
