下記表に示す組成の塗布液(R1)、(R2)、(R3)、(R4)をそれぞれ調製した。
<光反射フィルムの作製>
調製した塗布液(R1)、(R2)、(R3)、(R4)を用い、下記の手順にてそれぞれ可視光反射層PRL-2、可視光反射層PRL-3、可視光反射層PRL-4、光反射層PRL-1を作製し、次いでそれらを積層して本発明の光反射フィルムを作製した。プラスチック基板としては、予め特開2002-90743号公報の実施例1に記載された方法で下塗り層無し面をラビング処理された東洋紡績社製PETフィルム(商品名A4100、厚さ50μm)を使用した。

LCDとしてノートブック型のパーソナルコンピューター(パナソニック社製:レッツノートSX2)の前面に、作製した本発明の光制御フィルムを1/4波長板がLCD側に、かつ、LCDの前面にある偏光板の偏光軸と1/4波長板の遅相軸が45度になるように上記アクリル系粘着剤を用いて貼り合せ、本発明のミラーディスプレイを得た。このミラーディスプレイを駆動させ、画面の一部を青、緑、赤、白、黒と色分けして表示させたところ、黒表示部分は鏡の如き反射を示しており、映った反射像は正面方向から見た場合、斜め方向に50度傾けて見た場合のいずれにおいても反射像の着色は観察されなかった、また、青、緑、赤、白表示部分の画像は明るく、正面方向から見た場合、斜め方向に50度傾けて見た場合のいずれにおいても着色しておらず、かつ鮮明に表示されていた。
光反射層PRL-1を用いないこと以外は、実施例1と同様の作製法により、可視光反射層PRL-2、可視光反射層PRL-3および可視光反射層PRL-4を含む、各光反射層と接着層との厚さの合計が40μmである光反射フィルムを作製した。可視光反射層PRL-2、可視光反射層PRL-3、可視光反射層PRL-4の中心反射波長は、上記表3に示されるように、それぞれ450nm、530nm、610nmであり、かつ可視光反射層PRL-2、可視光反射層PRL3、可視光反射層PRL-4の中心反射波長における反射率は、それぞれ50%、50%、50%であった。

Claims (9)
- 400nm以上700nm未満の可視光領域の一部または全体において可視光平均反射率が25%超え55%以下である反射帯域を有する少なくとも1つの可視光反射層を含む可視光反射ユニットと、700nm以上950nm以下の中心反射波長をもち、該中心反射波長での通常光に対する反射率が25%超え55%以下である光反射層PRL-1とを備え、前記可視光反射層および前記光反射層PRL-1はいずれも同じ向きの偏光を反射する特性を有することを特徴とする光反射フィルム。
- 前記可視光反射ユニットは、400nm以上500nm未満の中心反射波長をもち該中心反射波長での通常光に対する反射率が25%超え55%以下である可視光反射層PRL-2と、500nm以上600nm未満の中心反射波長をもち該中心反射波長での通常光に対する反射率が25%超え55%以下である可視光反射層PRL-3と、600nm以上700nm未満の中心反射波長をもち該中心反射波長での通常光に対する反射率が25%超え55%以下である可視光反射層PRL-4のうち、少なくとも1つの可視光反射層を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光反射フィルム。
- 前記可視光反射ユニットは、前記可視光反射層PRL-2と、前記可視光反射層PRL-3と、前記可視光反射層PRL-4の3つの可視光反射層を含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の光反射フィルム。
- 前記可視光反射層および前記光反射層PRL-1が、それぞれ固定化された螺旋配向を有するコレステリック液晶層であることを特徴とする、請求項1ないし3のいずれか1項に記載の光反射フィルム。
- 請求項1ないし4のいずれか1項に記載の光反射フィルムと、1/4波長板とが積層されていることを特徴とする光制御フィルム。
- 請求項1ないし4のいずれか1項に記載の光反射フィルムまたは請求項5に記載の光制御フィルムを画像表示装置の前面に配置したことを特徴とするミラーディスプレイ。
- 画像表示装置が液晶ディスプレイもしくは、有機ELディスプレイであることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のミラーディスプレイ。
- 画像表示装置がフレキシブル基板を用いた液晶ディスプレイもしくは、有機ELディスプレイであることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のミラーディスプレイ。
- ディスプレイ全体が曲面形状であることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載のミラーディスプレイ。
