That is, the visual field area acquisition unit 17 acquires the video captured by the imaging unit 3 via the image processing device 12. Further, the visual field area acquisition unit 17 is based on the optical characteristics such as the angle of view of the imaging unit 3 and the position and orientation of the imaging unit 3 (information on the first position P1). Defines a visual field space S1 (see FIGS. 3 and 4). For example, the visual field area acquisition unit 17 calculates the position of the visual field space S1 in the reference coordinate system based on optical characteristics such as the angle of view of the imaging unit 3 and the position and orientation of the imaging unit 3 (information on the first position P1). To do.

- the boundary space S2 corresponds to an area outside the imaging field of view (see the boundary area A2 and FIG. 5) located around the visual field area A1 in the image displayed on the display unit 22.
- the image generation unit 18 generates an image indicating the state of the second manipulator 7 viewed from the viewing direction of the imaging unit 3 by computer graphics (see FIG. 6). For example, the image generation unit 18 draws the second manipulator 7 on the image and the second manipulator based on the position and orientation of the imaging unit 3 in the reference coordinate system and the position and orientation of the second manipulator 7 in the reference coordinate system. 7 is calculated and an image including an index M imitating the shape of the second manipulator 7 is generated.
- the image generated by the image generation unit 18 includes an index M having a shape corresponding to at least the end effector 8 of the second manipulator 7.
- the image generation unit 18 generates an image including the index M when the end effector 8 is located outside the visual field space S1 and within the boundary space S2, and the end effector 8 is within the visual field space S1. If it is located, an image not including the index M is generated.
- the image generation unit 18 generates a stereoscopic image (for example, a set of images configured in consideration of parallax so as to correspond to the left and right eyes of the operator) including the index M imitating the shape of the end effector 8. Also good.
- the image generation unit 18 may generate an image including a background in addition to the index M.
- the background in the image generated by the image generation unit 18 is, for example, an image (a CT image or an image obtained by image diagnosis performed in advance on a patient to be treated using the medical manipulator system 1 of the present embodiment. MRI images, etc.) or images reconstructed based on past images captured by the imaging unit 3 of the first manipulator 2.
- the image superimposing unit 19 outputs a superimposed image configured by integrating the video signal output from the image processing device 12 to the control unit 15 and the image generated by the image generating unit 18 to the display unit 22.

- the control signal output unit 20 generates a control signal for operating the second manipulator 7 in accordance with an operation input to the operation unit 13 and outputs the control signal to the second drive unit 11.
- the control signal output unit 20 outputs to the operation unit 13 a control signal that changes the restriction content for the operation command by the operation unit 13 according to one mode selected by the determination unit 21 among the plurality of control modes.
- the plurality of control modes include a first mode that permits operation of the second manipulator 7 by the operation unit 13 and a second manipulator 7 within a limited range after adding a predetermined restriction to an operation command by the operation unit 13. And a third mode in which the operation of the second manipulator 7 by the operation unit 13 is prohibited.
- the resistance means does not function as a resistance, and the operator can freely operate the master arm 14.
- the predetermined restriction in the second mode is a restriction for improving the usability of the second manipulator 7 compared to the first mode.
- the predetermined restriction in the second mode of the present embodiment is such a restriction that the moving speed of the second manipulator 7 is lower than the moving speed of the second manipulator 7 in the first mode.
- the second manipulator reduces the speed of the input to the master arm 14 by increasing the resistance by the resistance means with respect to the operation input to the master arm 14 of the operation unit 13. The moving speed of 7 is reduced.
- the prohibition of operation in the third mode is control in which the resistance means increases the resistance so that the master arm 14 of the operation unit 13 becomes inoperable.
- the determination unit 21 is based on a plurality of conditions corresponding to the positional relationship between the position of the imaging unit 3 (first position P1) and the position of the end effector 8 (second position P2) in the space where the imaging unit 3 is located.
- One mode is selected from the first mode, the second mode, and the third mode.
- FIG. 8 is a table for explaining conditions for selecting one mode from a plurality of control modes.
- the discriminating unit 21 of the present embodiment is the first when the second position P2 is in the visual field space S1 (when the second position P2 is in the visual field region A1 on the display of the display unit 22) (see FIG. 5). Select one mode.
- the second position P2 is outside the visual field space S1 (the second position P2 is outside the visual field region A1 on the display of the display unit 22), and the first position P1 and the second position The second mode is selected when the distance from the position P2 (the distance measured along a plane orthogonal to the visual field direction of the imaging unit 3) is equal to or less than a predetermined value (see FIG. 6).
- the second position P2 is outside the visual field space S1 (the second position P2 is outside the visual field region A1 on the display of the display unit 22), and the first position P1 and the second position
- the third mode is selected when the distance to the position P2 (the distance measured along the plane orthogonal to the visual field direction of the imaging unit 3) exceeds the predetermined value (see FIG. 7).
- the predetermined value related to the distance between the first position P1 and the second position P2 is, for example, a boundary region from the visual field center of the imaging unit 3 on a plane that is orthogonal to the visual field direction of the imaging unit 3 and includes the second position P2. It is the distance to the extension of A2.
- the predetermined value is not limited to a constant value. For example, when the boundary area A2 is circular (when the extension of the boundary space S2 is cylindrical or conical), the predetermined value is a constant value. Further, for example, when the boundary area A2 is other than a circle, the predetermined value is the distance between the extension of the boundary area A2 and the center of the visual field, and varies depending on the part.
- the extension of the boundary space S2 is determined in advance or based on the measurement result of the body tissue corresponding to the shape of the tissue. For this reason, in the present embodiment, it can be considered that the space inside the boundary space S2 is less likely to contact the tissue in the body even if the end effector 8 is moved.
- the display unit 22 displays the superimposed image configured by the image superimposing unit 19 of the control unit 15.
- the display unit 22 includes a display panel 23 that can display a superimposed image. In a state where the superimposed image is displayed on the display panel 23, the display panel 23 displays the index M corresponding to the presence of the visual field display unit 22 a that is a part for displaying the video imaged by the imaging unit 3 and the second manipulator 7. Can be distinguished from the auxiliary display part 22b, which is a part capable of displaying.
- the display unit 22 may have a plurality of input systems and selectors so that either the image output from the control unit 15 or the image output from the image processing device 12 can be displayed according to the selection. Good.
- the determination unit 21 switches the control mode based on the positional relationship between the imaging unit 3 and the end effector 8.
- the determination unit 21 selects the first mode from a plurality of control modes, so that the end effector 8 can freely move according to the operation on the operation unit 13. It is.
- the discriminating unit 21 selects the second mode from the plurality of control modes. While being done, it can move freely.
- the determination unit 21 selects the third mode from the plurality of control modes, so the end effector 8 stops without responding to the operation by the operation unit 13. To do.
- the first manipulator 2 uses the operation unit 13 in any of the first mode, the second mode, and the third mode. Accordingly, when the end effector 8 stops when the state is controlled from the state controlled in the first mode or the second mode and the end effector 8 stops, the first manipulator 2 is operated to enter the first space in the visual field space S1 or the boundary space S2. If the operator returns to the state where the two manipulators 7 are located, the operation of the second manipulator 7 and its end effector 8 can be resumed by shifting from the third mode to the first mode or the second mode. The method of returning may be operated via the operation unit 13, or the position of the first manipulator 2 may be directly changed by hand.
- the second manipulator 7 In a state where the second manipulator 7 is located outside the visual field space S1 and within the boundary space S2, the second manipulator 7 is not included in the image from the imaging unit 3. For example, when the end effector 8 is located outside the visual field space S1 and within the boundary space S2, the end effector 8 is not displayed in the visual field region A1, but is drawn as an index M by computer graphics in the boundary region A2. Is done.
- the medical manipulator system 1 of the present embodiment has a predetermined restriction (the first limit) as long as the end effector 8 is located within the boundary space S2.
- the second manipulator 7 can be operated under two modes. When the end effector 8 is located outside the visual field space S1 and within the boundary space S2, an index M indicating the end effector 8 is displayed in the boundary region A2 in the superimposed image displayed on the display unit 22. For this reason, even if the end effector 8 is not imaged by the imaging unit 3, it is easy to grasp the position and orientation of the end effector 8. As a result, the medical manipulator system 1 according to the present embodiment can freely operate the second manipulator 7 within the above-mentioned limitation even if the second manipulator 7 is outside the field of view of the imaging unit 3. good.
- Modification 1 A modification of the above embodiment will be described.
- the same components as those disclosed in the above embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals as those in the above embodiment, and redundant description is omitted.
- the second manipulator 7 is arranged such that the movable speed of the second manipulator 7 gradually decreases as the second manipulator 7 approaches its extension in the boundary space S2. It is different from the above embodiment in that it is controlled.
- control unit 15 controls the resistance means so that the resistance by the resistance means of the master arm 14 gradually increases as the end effector 8 approaches the extension of the boundary space S2. Thereby, the master arm 14 becomes difficult to move gradually as the end effector 8 approaches the extension of the boundary space S2.
- control unit 15 controls the resistance means so that the resistance by the resistance means is gradually changed as the end effector 8 moves away from the boundary space S2 and moves toward the visual field space S1. Thereby, as the end effector 8 moves away from the boundary space S2 toward the visual field space S1, the difficulty of moving the master arm 14 is gradually eliminated.
- the moving speed of the second manipulator 7 at the time of shifting from the first mode to the second mode is substantially equal to the moving speed of the first mode, and immediately before shifting from the second mode to the third mode, the second manipulator 7 is a substantially stopped state.
- region A2 is smooth, it is convenient.
- FIG. 9 is a block diagram of a medical manipulator system according to this modification.
- the medical manipulator system 1 of this modification includes a tactile sensor 24 that detects the amount of force that the second manipulator 7 pushes back the second manipulator 7 when the second manipulator 7 contacts the object.
- Contact detection means and the master arm 14 has feedback means (not shown) for transmitting the force detected by the sensor of the second manipulator 7 to the operator's hand.
- the feedback means operates with a predetermined correspondence with the force detected by the touch sensor 24 in the first mode. For example, in response to the elasticity when the second manipulator 7 comes into contact with the tissue in the body, the feedback means is provided so that the operator operating the master arm 14 feels the elasticity equivalent to that directly touching the tissue. The master arm 14 transmits the power to the operator.
- the medical manipulator system 1 transmits from the master arm 14 to the operator a larger amount of force than the operator feels in the first mode with respect to the amount of force detected by the tactile sensor 24 in the second mode. .
- the operator in the second mode, the operator can grasp using the display unit 22 that the end effector 8 is located outside the visual field space S1 and within the boundary space S2.
- the second manipulator 7 since the end effector 8 is not displayed in the image picked up by the image pickup unit 3, the second manipulator 7 is operated in a hand-drawn state depending on the sense of touch with caution.
- the tactile sensor 24 detects contact between the second manipulator 7 and the object when the medical manipulator system 1 is operating in the second mode, the second manipulator 7 and the object contact each other.
- the control unit 15 may notify the operator of the fact (including those that can be perceived visually or by hearing), and the control unit 15 may prohibit the operation of the second manipulator 7 by the operation unit 13. In this case, instead of the control unit 15 prohibiting the operation of the second manipulator 7 by the operation unit 13, the second manipulator 7 can be moved only in the direction in which the contact between the second manipulator 7 and the object is eliminated. Thus, the movable direction of the second manipulator 7 may be limited in the second mode.
- Modification 3 Still another modification of the above embodiment will be described.
- one of the operations disclosed in the embodiment, the first modification, and the second modification can be selected and set as the operation in the second mode.
- the operation unit 13 has a switch (not shown) for selecting an operation in the second mode.
- the operation in the second mode can be selected according to the operator's preference, so that it is easy to use.
- FIG. 10 is a block diagram of a medical manipulator system according to this modification. As shown in FIG. 10, the medical manipulator system 1 of this modification has a third manipulator 25 in addition to the first manipulator 2 and the second manipulator 7.
- the third manipulator 25 is an observation device such as an endoscope for observing the inside of the body, and has an imaging unit 26. For this reason, in this modification, it is possible to observe the treatment target site from the viewpoint different from that of the imaging unit 3 of the first manipulator 2 by the third manipulator 25.
- the third manipulator 25 includes a third multi-joint arm 28 (third position / posture detection unit 27) similar to the first multi-joint arm 5 and a third drive unit 29 similar to the first drive unit 6. It is controlled by the control unit 15.
- control unit 15 of the medical manipulator system 1 according to any one of the first mode, the second mode, and the third mode, similarly to the control for moving the second manipulator 7.
- the third manipulator 25 is controlled.
- the third manipulator 25 of the present embodiment is the same manipulator as the second manipulator 7 in that it receives restrictions on operation in the second mode and restrictions on operation in the third mode.
- an instrument that performs a treatment on a treatment target region and an instrument (third manipulator 25) that observes the treatment target region from a different viewpoint from the imaging unit 3. Since both devices can be freely operated within a certain range in the second mode, it is easy to use.
- the control method in the second mode may be different according to the configuration of other manipulators used together with the first manipulator 2.
- the mode is changed from the first mode to the second mode.
- the operation speed may be reduced to such an extent that the second manipulator 7 is substantially stopped.
- the control unit 15 causes the second manipulator 7 to permit a part of the operation of the second manipulator 7 in the third mode. The operation may be controlled.
- the second manipulator 7 is moved in the second mode so that the second manipulator 7 can move only in the direction in which the end effector 8 enters the visual field area A1.
- the direction may be limited.
- FIG. 11 is a block diagram of a medical manipulator system according to this modification.
- FIG. 12 is a schematic diagram illustrating an example of an image displayed on the display unit of the medical manipulator system according to the present modification.
- the display unit 22 is a first panel 23A serving as a visual field display unit 22a that displays an image captured by the imaging unit 3, and a second display unit 22b serving as an auxiliary display unit 22b that can display an index M corresponding to the presence of the second manipulator 7. And a panel 23B.
- the image captured by the imaging unit 3 and the image including the index M are displayed on different display panels 23 (first panel 23A, second panel 23B). Even if the visual field directions in the video image 3 and the image including the index M are different from each other, there is little discomfort.
- the image generation unit 18 (see FIG. 11) generates a bird's-eye view image including the first manipulator 2 and the second manipulator 7 as computer graphics, and the first manipulator 2 and the second manipulator 7 can be easily shown on the second panel 23B.
- the control unit 15 may draw a mark line L1 that serves as a guide for the position of the treatment target region on the second panel 23B. For example, the mark line L1 is drawn on the second panel 23B based on the result of analyzing the image captured by the imaging unit 3 and measuring the distance between the imaging unit 3 and the treatment target.
- the first panel 23A that displays an image captured by the imaging unit 3 may be disposed on the front, and the second panel 23B that displays the above-described overhead image may be disposed on the lower side.
- the treatment target part imaged by the imaging unit 3 is captured in front, the treatment is performed, and when confirming the positional relationship of each manipulator in the region including the treatment target part, the line of sight is lowered first. It is possible to look down on the manipulator 2 and the second manipulator 7 in a natural posture looking down from above.
- FIG. 13 is a schematic diagram showing a visual field space and a boundary space defined by the medical manipulator system of the present modification.
- FIG. 14 is a schematic diagram illustrating an example of an image displayed on the display unit of the medical manipulator system according to the present modification.
- a part of the visual field space S1 (corresponding to the visual field region A1 in the display unit 23) is outside the boundary space S2 (corresponding to the boundary region A2 in the display unit 23). It differs from the above embodiment in a certain point.
- the boundary space S2 is defined as a range in which the second manipulator 7 can be operated in accordance with the operator's intention.
- the visual field space S1 is defined based on the position and orientation of the imaging unit 3 in correspondence with the position of the part to be observed, independently of the movement of the second manipulator 7. For this reason, when the field-of-view center of the imaging unit 3 is set in the vicinity of the outer periphery of the boundary space S2, a space “that is inside the field-of-view space S1 and outside the boundary space S2” is generated.
- the control unit 15 makes the second manipulator within this space. 7 is operated in the first mode. That is, the space that is inside the visual field space S1 and outside the boundary space S2 can easily grasp the positional relationship between the tissue and the second manipulator 7 by using the imaging unit 3, and thus there is a restriction on the control of the second manipulator 7. do not do.
- control different from the first mode of the above embodiment may be performed in that the second manipulator 7 notifies the operator that the second manipulator 7 is operating outside the boundary region S2.
- the control unit 15 notifies the operator that the second manipulator 7 is operating outside the boundary region S2, and allows the operator to freely move the master arm 14 without causing the resistance means to function as a resistor.
- a fourth mode (see FIG. 15) that can be operated may be included in the control mode.
- the determination unit 21 has the second position P2 in the visual field space S1 (the second position P2 is in the visual field region A1 on the display of the display unit 22), and the first position P1 and the second position P2.
- the fourth mode is selected when the distance (the distance measured along the plane orthogonal to the viewing direction of the imaging unit 3) exceeds the predetermined value.
- the restrictions according to the second mode in the above embodiment and its modifications may be combined as appropriate.
- the moving speed of the second manipulator 7 may decrease and the feedback force based on the tactile sensor 24 may be increased.
- the restriction content may be gradually tightened as the second manipulator 7 approaches the extension of the boundary space S2.
- the restriction content may be gradually tightened. For example, with respect to the position of the end effector 8 of the second manipulator 7, if the end effector 8 is located in the boundary space S2 at a position close to the visual field space S1, only the operation speed of the second manipulator 7 is limited, and within the boundary space S2. If the end effector 8 is located at a position close to the extension, in addition to limiting the operation speed of the second manipulator 7, the operation method of the second manipulator 7 may be limited.
- the present invention can be used for a manipulator system.

図13及び図14に示すように、本変形例では、視野空間S1(表示部23における視野領域A1に対応)の一部が境界空間S2(表示部23における境界領域A2に対応)の外にある点で上記の実施形態と異なっている。
