Abstract

The invention relates to a baby or toddler bed (2) which can also be used as a cradle, comprising a frame having two horizontal arches (6) and two upper oblique arches (10), wherein the horizontal arches (6) and the upper oblique arches (10) are connected to one another at the end sides via star-shaped elements (12), comprising a textile net (16) stretched between the two horizontal arches (6) and forming a lying surface (20), and comprising net-like side walls (22) surrounding the lying surface (20) which are secured to the upper oblique arches (10). Baby or toddler bed

From the published patent application DE 10 2012 007 531 A1, a concept study for an innovative baby or toddler bed with the features of the preamble of claim 1 is known.

The novel bed does without a mattress and without bars. Based on principles of bionics arrangement is based on the accommodation of a baby in the mother's stomach and tries to give the baby or toddler a cocoon-shaped bed and cover between the net-like boundary surfaces.

However, this goal is not yet realized in a satisfactory way there. On the one hand, the statics of the known bed leaves much to be desired, on the other hand, the taut sidewalls offer the baby or toddler when touch not the actual desired comfort and jerky movements not the desired comprehensive protection against injury. The object of the invention is therefore to develop a baby or toddler bed of the type mentioned in such a way that it meets the high expectations in terms of comfort, safety and manageability.

The object is achieved by a baby or toddler bed with the features of claim 1.

As essential to the invention is therefore considered that the respective side wall has an inner membrane and an outer membrane, which are each stretched between one of the upper inclined arches and the textile net, and which include a chamber acting as a buffer.

As has been recognized, the double-walled design of the side surfaces allows a significant improvement in the static of the construction while optimizing the haptic properties from the perspective of the baby or toddler. The flexible inner membrane encloses the lying surface in a way that provides a high level of comfort and protection against injury, even with jerky movements. Tensile forces not absorbed by the inner membrane can be dissipated via the outer membrane into the surrounding frame.

The bed according to the invention is a constructive whole. The membranes provide a static unit with the frame. They are not only important from a thermal point of view, but also serve as tension elements in terms of statics. The complete membrane construction creates a well-ventilated, breathable cocoon, where the baby or toddler finds an environment that is perfectly tailored to their needs. The two-layer arrangement of the side walls prevents drafts. The microclimate is draft-free, yet without heat accumulation and respiratory back pressure.

Advantageous embodiments and further developments emerge from the subclaims and the following detailed description. Advantageously, the textile net has a corresponding to the contour of the horizontal arches oval, preferably approximately elliptical base.

In a preferred embodiment, the textile net is connected at the edge by a zipper with the respective horizontal arc. The corresponding textile strip of one half of the zipper is expediently inserted into a groove of the horizontal arch. The textile strip of the other half of the zipper is sewn directly to the textile net or otherwise connected.

Furthermore, the outer membrane is advantageously connected at the upper edge by a zipper with the associated upper inclined arch. For this purpose, a groove in the oblique arc is expediently provided which fixes one half of the zipper, while the other half is connected to the outer membrane.

Preferably, the inner membrane and the outer membrane are brought together at the associated upper inclined arch and touch each other there. Advantageously, the inner membrane is sewn to the outer membrane there - just before the edge with the zipper provided for fixing to the upper inclined arch.

Advantageously, the outer membrane is also sewn to the textile net at the lower edge, wherein the seam is preferably located at the edge of the textile net - just before the zipper intended for fixing on the horizontal bow. The textile net and the outer membrane form an approximately L-shaped or T-shaped arrangement to each other.

In a preferred embodiment, the inner membrane is also sewn at the bottom opposite the edge of the textile network inwardly staggered with the textile net. The textile mesh and the inner membrane form an approximately T-shaped arrangement to each other. The geometry of the arrangement is expediently such that the connecting line or seam between the inner membrane and the textile net has an oval shape. The couch enclosed by the inner membrane Area is therefore a smaller oval partial area within the preferably oval base of the textile network.

In a particularly preferred embodiment, the inner membrane, the outer membrane and the textile net are configured such that the textile net bulges slightly upwards in the unloaded state. This means that the lying surface is suspended in the manner of a suspension bridge, and that the mean reg ion of the textile network is higher than the edge clamped between the horizontal arches.

Furthermore, the inner membrane, the outer membrane and the textile net are preferably configured in such a way that the inner membrane bulges at least slightly, but perceptibly, in the unloaded state at least in a middle section of the side wall, preferably over its complete longitudinal extent between the two star-shaped connection elements. That is, viewed in cross-section, the inner membrane forms an arc whose apex lies within the direct line of connection between the endpoints, advantageously even within the lower, inner endpoint, which is the connection / seam to the textile net.

The chamber enclosed between the inner membrane and the outer membrane thus gives the impression of a chamber filled with compressed air, viewed from the lying position of the baby, while in reality it is only filled with diffusing ambient air and the advantageous convex surface curvature is established as a result of the effective surface tension. The limited to the lying surface of the inner membrane chamber is effective in this sense, as a "passive airbag" effective in pressure with relatively large deflection and then automatically sets back gently.

In an embodiment which is advantageous for statics, furthermore, the inner membrane, the outer membrane and the textile net are configured such that, in the unloaded state, the outer membrane buckles inward at least in a middle section of the side wall. When viewed in cross-section, this forms, in a preferred configuration, between the inner membrane, the outer membrane and the textile net, an approximately triangular-shaped chamber with walls which curve slightly toward the lying surface of the baby.

At the front, the inner membrane and the outer membrane can each form an arc between the two side walls.

Advantageously, the fabric surface forming the fabric web consists of polyester fibers. This applies advantageously also for the outer membrane and the inner membrane, which may consist in particular of stretchable PowerNet.

The preferred PowerNet used here is i.a. Used in medicine as a dressing material and in everyday life as underwear. It is allergy-free and germ-inhibiting.

As already mentioned, the base of the lying surface preferably consists of a solid polyester mesh. In addition, the lighter PowerNet is attached in a preferred embodiment. The surface of the PowerNet is pleasant to the touch and serves as a cover, while the tensile forces in the lying surface are absorbed by the polyester mesh.

If required (during the cooler season), a thicker cotton surface can be attached underneath the polyester via a hook-and-loop fastener on the edge of the bed. The cotton fabric is not taut, but hangs loose with about 4 cm distance at the apex of the polyester mesh, so there is no respiratory back pressure.

As already mentioned, the side membranes advantageously consist of

PowerNet. The two-layer / double-walled membrane arrangement prevents drafts. The microclimate is not only draft-free, but also without heat accumulation. As a substructure for the bed, two lower inclined bends may be present, which are frontally connected by the star-shaped connecting elements with the upper slopes and the horizontal arcs. As already described in DE 10 2012 007 531 A1, preferably one lower oblique arch and one upper oblique arch each lie in a common plane and form a closed oval.

In summary, the bed has in a preferred embodiment, a frame with six bows, for example made of wood or plastic, which are frontally connected via corresponding star-shaped elements (star node). The lower two oblique arches serve as legs. Between the two horizontally arranged arches a firm textile net is stretched, on which a baby or toddler can be placed, whereby it is guaranteed that no obstruction of the respiration takes place. From each left and right upper oblique arch a doppelwandi- ge membrane is stretched, which is connected to the textile network of the bed. The complete membrane design results in a kind of cocoon, in which the baby or toddler finds an environment that approximates the mother's abdomen.

The individual membrane elements preferably form a membrane unit with one another and are preferably connected to the frame via zips. The membranes effectively form a monocoque and can be completely zipped out for the purpose of replacement or cleaning.

To build the bed, the bows are first connected to the star node, preferably screwed. Subsequently, the membrane unit is zipped. The affiliation of the elements is clear and thus virtually excludes misunderstandings. The structure is simple and can be done within a very short time.

An embodiment of the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to drawings. This show in a schematic representation: FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a baby or toddler bed according to the invention, and

All position and direction information used here refers to the intended use and orientation of the bed.

The in FIG. 1 illustrated in a perspective view baby or toddler bed 2 has a frame 4 of six support sheets or short bows, namely two horizontal arches 6, two lower oblique bows 8 and two upper oblique bows 10, which in the final assembly state in each case end face connected via star-shaped elements (star node 12) are. The planes of the inclined arches 8, 10 are each tilted by 45 ° relative to the horizontal, for example, and the vertical projection of the upper inclined bends 10 is viewed from above within the oval formed by the two horizontal arches 6.

The two lower horizontal arches 6 form a base for the bed and are stabilized by lateral protruding feet 14. Alternatively, a rolling movement can be enabled without these feet (cradle).

Between the two horizontal arches 6, a textile net 16 of appropriate oval shape is taut. It is on the edge via a zipper 18 with the respective horizontal arc 6 removably connected, over its entire length, with the exception of the end nodes formed by the star node 12 end regions. The zippers 18 are fixed in suitable longitudinal grooves of the horizontal arches 6. The lying surface 20 forming textile network 16 is shown in FIG. 2 to 5 without the surrounding frame 4 shown.

Furthermore, the baby or toddler bed 2 has net-like side walls 22, which are stretched between the upper inclined bends 10 and the textile net 16 and laterally enclose the lying surface 20.

Each of the two side walls 22 has an outer membrane 24, which is connected at the upper edge by means of a zipper 26 with the associated upper inclined arch 10, over its entire length, with the exception of the end nodes formed by the star node 12 - quite analogous to the connection At the lower edge, the outer membrane 24 is sewn to the textile net 16, along its oval border, just inside the zipper 18 directed towards the horizontal bow 6 (in FIG. 2 to 5, only the seam line 28) visible, but not the zipper 18).

Each of the two side walls 22 also has an inner membrane 30, which is sewn at the upper edge along the seam line 31 with the upper edge of the outer membrane 24, just below the direction of the upper inclined sheet 10 zipper 26. At the bottom is the inner membrane 30 with the textile net Sewed 16, in such a way that the associated seam line 32 is located with some distance within the seam line 28 between the outer membrane 24 and textile net 16. Thus, the inner membrane 30 delimits the (smaller) oval lying surface 20 within the oval base of the textile net 16.

It can be seen from the figures that the distinction in first and second or right and left side wall 22 is more of a conceptual nature. In reality, the inner membrane 30 and the outer membrane 24 detach in the end-face end regions of the sheets 6, 8, 10 and there arcuately into each other above. The complete structure of inner membrane (s) 30, outer membrane (s) 24 and textile net 16 forms a unit connected by seams, which is detachably or removably connected to the frame 4 via a total of four zips 18, 26.

Between the inner membrane 30, outer membrane 24 and textile net 16 is formed as shown in FIG. 3 to 5 a cross-sectionally approximately triangular-shaped, filled with in-diffusing ambient air and pressure-balanced with the environment chamber 34 of which is effective as a buffer. As a result of the shape of the membranes and the arches and due to the clamping, both the inner membrane 30 and the outer membrane 24 bulge inward toward the lying surface 20, at least in a longitudinal region between the two star nodes 12, as shown in FIG. 5 can be seen.

It can be seen that the inner apex S of the arc formed by the inner membrane 30 is within the straight line connecting the upper and lower edge points, even within the inner lower edge point representing the seam 32 between the inner membrane 30 and the textile net 16 , The arc formed by the outer membrane 24 also extends within the straight line connecting the corresponding upper and lower edge points. The textile net 16 in turn is slightly curved upwards, that is slightly higher in the central region than at the edge. All this information is in any case in the unloaded state. As soon as a baby or toddler lies in the bed, the relations may shift slightly, depending on the weight.

The lying or sleeping environment is largely approximated by the cocoon construction to the conditions in the mother's stomach before birth.
