The invention is based on the object to provide an improvement of the previously used bedding baths.
This object is achieved by a foldable bed bath with self-standing walls for medical purposes according to claim 1.
The bed bath according to the invention with self-supporting walls consists of a flexible foldable surface element, wherein the flexible foldable surface element in the assembled state determines a substantially rectangular bottom and upright, self-supporting walls and wherein in the unassembled state, the bottom and the walls are integrally formed. The bottom of the foldable bed-tub is made of a substantially flexible material and the walls of a substantially rigid material. In addition, two opposite upright walls have respective desired kinks. Preferably, the respective desired kinks are adapted to lift the wall portions of the two opposing upright walls at a first side of the desired kinks with respect to the wall portions of the two opposing upright walls at a second side of the desired kinks.
The foldable bed bath can preferably be designed so that the flexible foldable surface element is completely foldable and einfaltbar and from a sustainable, flexible, waterproof material, preferably plastic film or tarpaulin is formed.
In a preferred embodiment, the foldable bed bath is provided so that the flexible flatable flat element for easier insertion and removal has a plurality of surface parts by folding edges. The arrangement of the surface parts defines the bottom and the upright walls formed from end edges of the flexible foldable surface element. The bottom of the foldable bed-tub should correspond to the length and width of the bed-mattress to ensure a comfortable lying of the patient and an optimal support of the upright walls.
An advantageous embodiment of the foldable bed bath is constructed so that the corners of the flexible foldable surface element are folded up in the assembled state, thereby forming the bottom and the upright walls. The corners have securing means for a better grip, e.g. B. in the form of a hook and loop fastener.
According to the invention, each desired bending point has three converging desired folding edges, so that the foldable bedding bath is adjustable in height in stages. The desired kink of the foldable bed bath should be located at the point where the bed frame itself and the bed mattress are height adjustable. Thus, practically the headboard of the bed is lifted together with the foldable bed-bath for a comfortable lying of the patient.
According to a preferred embodiment, the foldable bed bath is constructed so that the plastic film or tarpaulin is glued or welded at the edge of surface parts, so that these surface parts are held in position and sealed sealing.
In particular, the surface parts of the foldable bed bath with plates, z. As polycarbonate plates or polycarbonate multi-wall plates, filled. Other materials with similar or better properties can be used. The plastic film or tarpaulin is thus glued or welded around the plates, so that the surface parts are sealed sealing. Above all, the outer surface parts that form the four walls can be provided with plates to ensure a certain rigidity. Depending on the type of bed mattress, the bottom of the foldable bedding bath could either consist only of the film or be provided with plates for more stability.
Advantageously, the foldable bed bath is designed so that the polycarbonate plates or polycarbonate web plates have a thickness of 4 mm to 8 mm, with a thickness of approximately 6 mm being particularly preferred. In addition, it is conceivable to use two transversely superposed polycarbonate sheets or polycarbonate multi-wall sheets, so that a kind of grid is formed, which significantly increases the buckling strength in the longitudinal and transverse directions. The thickness of the two polycarbonate sheets or polycarbonate web sheets adhered transversely to one another is 2 × 4 mm to 2 × 6 mm, with a thickness of 2 × 4 mm being particularly preferred.
It is also advantageous if the flexible flatable flat element is formed of a more resistant plastic film with a thickness of at least 1 mm. In such a preferred embodiment, a so-called "memory" plastic film can be used, which automatically remembers places after the first folding during unfolding and folding. According to the invention the plastic film could be made from a truck tarpaulin with a thickness of about 1 mm. Also, a production of a polycarbonate film with a thickness of about 2 to 3 mm would be conceivable that has folded edges with "memory".
Further, it is preferably provided that one of the lateral surface parts has an opening for inserting a means for discharging the used liquid.
It is possible by the inventive foldable bed bath, easy to ensure at any time and any place, be it private apartment or hospital, an efficient cleaning and care for bedridden persons or patients. Due to the complete folding and unfolding of the bed bath is also very quickly used and can also be stowed without problems after their use.

However, according to the invention it is also conceivable that the
The invention described above fully fulfills the stated tasks. Therefore, patients can advantageously be washed here not only when lying down, but with the upper part of the body in a high position. This offers, above all, very great advantages in patients who, for. B. suffer from heart failure or asthma and otherwise could very quickly get breathless while lying down. In addition, bedridden patients feel a sense of security from the high position of the upper body. When washing hair in the high position of the upper body, the patients also have a much more pleasant sensation, as in the lying position. An elevated position of the upper body in comparable bed baths of the prior art is either not possible or only with huge effort and usually the showering of patients is recommended. By contrast, the present invention allows patients to be bathed without risk.
The materials of the invention, thanks to the present design of the foldable bed-tub, can be chosen such that they will not break under normal conditions.
