Definitions
- the present invention relates to a vehicle power management system for charging a battery with power generated by an alternator.
- Patent Document 1 discloses a combination of this technique and an idle stop that automatically stops the engine when the vehicle is temporarily stopped at an intersection or the like.
- an idle stop that automatically stops the engine when the vehicle is temporarily stopped at an intersection or the like.
- the starter motor of the engine it is necessary to drive the starter motor of the engine, so depending on the power consumption state including consumption by other in-vehicle devices, only charging of generated power by regenerative energy is required. Then, the case where a battery cannot supply required electric power may occur. Therefore, in Patent Document 1, the alternator is driven by the driving force of the engine in accordance with the state of decrease in the SOC (charge rate) of the battery even when the vehicle is not decelerated.
- SOC charge rate
- Patent Document 1 when the vehicle is not decelerated, the timing for driving the alternator to charge the battery is determined based only on the SOC of the battery, so that the engine output is low even when the engine efficiency is low. There is a case where a part of the power is consumed for driving the alternator. In this case, the improvement in fuel efficiency, which is the original aim, may be stopped at a predetermined level together with the influence on the running performance, and there is room for further improvement.
- the present invention A control unit for an alternator in an engine vehicle that charges a battery with power generated by the alternator, When the engine vehicle is decelerating, it is determined whether the alternator can be driven based on the SOC of the battery, When the engine vehicle is not decelerating, it is determined whether the alternator can be driven based on the engine efficiency and the SOC of the battery, The alternator is driven or stopped according to the determination of availability.
- the alternator When the vehicle is decelerating, the alternator is driven until the predetermined SOC is reached to generate electric power, and the battery is charged with electric power to reduce the time for which the alternator is driven with low engine efficiency, and the vehicle is not decelerating.
- the alternator is driven until the predetermined SOC is reached to generate electric power, and the battery is charged with electric power to reduce the time for which the alternator is driven with low engine efficiency, and the vehicle is not decelerating.
- FIG. 1 is a block diagram of the engine control device 1.
- the control unit 2 of the engine control device 1 is based on a signal indicating the engine rotational speed input from the rotation sensor 12 attached to the engine 3 and a signal indicating the accelerator opening input from the accelerator sensor 13.
- An engine control signal for determining the injection amount is output to the engine 3.
- the control unit 2 is connected to a start button 11, a vehicle speed sensor 14, a brake switch 15, and a navigation device 16 that constitute an ignition switch.
- the vehicle speed sensor 14 outputs a vehicle speed signal indicating the speed of the vehicle to the control unit 2, and the brake switch 15 outputs a signal indicating whether or not a brake pedal (not shown) is depressed to the control unit 2. To do.
- the navigation device 16 specifies the position of the host vehicle from the GPS signal input from the GPS receiver 17 and also receives traffic information from an external server (not shown) connected via an electric communication line (not shown). Information necessary for navigation of the host vehicle is acquired, and information related to traveling of the host vehicle is provided.
- the control unit 2 When the start button 11 is turned on, the control unit 2 generates a start signal for the engine 3 and outputs it to the starter motor 7.
- the engine 3 includes an alternator 6 and a starter motor 7 for starting. The output rotation of the engine 3 is input to the wheel 5 via the transmission 4 so that the wheel 5 is rotationally driven. Yes.
- the starter motor 7 is connected to a battery 9, and the starter motor 7 rotates the engine 3 based on a start signal input from the control unit 2 when the start button 11 is pressed.
- the alternator 6 is an AC generator connected to the rotating shaft of the engine 3, has a converter circuit for DC, and is connected to a battery 9.
- the alternator 6 generates power by rotation and charges the battery 9 when the field current is in an energized state. When the field current is interrupted, the power generation output is lost and the engine is idle.
- turning on the field current by a drive signal from the control unit 2 is referred to as driving the alternator.
- the in-vehicle device 10 includes an engine auxiliary device, a transmission control device, and the like. In the embodiment, which in-vehicle device among a large number of in-vehicle devices 10 is driven, that is, which in-vehicle device has power. Information (driving device information) indicating whether or not is supplied is input to the control unit 2.
- a battery sensor 9 a is attached to the battery 9, and the battery sensor 9 a outputs a battery status signal used when obtaining the SOC (charge rate) of the battery 9 to the control unit 2.
- SOC charge rate
- the terminal voltage, current, and temperature are used as the battery state signal.
- the control unit 2 basically controls the engine 3 based on the accelerator opening determined from the signal input from the accelerator sensor 13 and the engine rotational speed specified from the signal input from the rotation sensor 12.
- control unit 2 is configured to perform idle stop control of the engine 3 when a predetermined idle stop permission condition is satisfied. Specifically, the vehicle speed specified from the vehicle speed signal input from the vehicle speed sensor 14 is zero (the vehicle is stopped), and the brake pedal (not shown) is input from the signal input from the brake switch 15. ) Is determined to be depressed, the control unit 2 stops the engine 3 to enter the idle stop state. Further, when the engine 3 is in the idling stop state, it is specified from the signal input from the brake switch 15 that the depression of the brake pedal (not shown) has been released, and the signal input from the accelerator sensor 13 When it is determined that the accelerator pedal is depressed, the control unit 2 outputs a start signal of the engine 3 to the starter motor 7 to automatically restart the engine 3. In this case, the engine 3 is restarted regardless of whether or not the start button 11 is operated.
- the control unit 2 includes a drive permission determination unit 20, and this drive permission determination unit 20 determines the vehicle running state (deceleration or not), the SOC of the battery 9, the engine efficiency, the load (power consumption) state, and the like. Based on this, it is determined whether or not the alternator 6 can be driven.
- the control unit 2 uses a power generation cost map M1 (see FIG. 3) stored in the ROM 25 as an index of engine efficiency.
- the power generation cost map M1 defines the power generation cost (yen / KWh) of the alternator 6 with respect to the engine rotation speed and the torque output from the engine 3 based on the fuel consumption.
- the medium speed region is relatively cheaper than other regions (high speed region and low speed region).
- the power generation cost decreases as the torque increases. The lower the power generation cost, the higher the engine efficiency.
- power consumption data at the time of driving each in-vehicle device 10 is also stored in the ROM 25.
- FIG. 2 is a flowchart showing a flow of drive control of the alternator 6 by the drive permission determination unit 20 of the control unit 2.
- the drive control of the alternator 6 is started immediately after the start button 11 is pushed and the engine 3 is started.
- the data read or calculated in each step is stored in the RAM 26 of the work memory each time.
- the drive permission determination unit 20 initializes (resets) the drive flag and resets other data in the RAM 26.
- the drive permission determination unit 20 reads a battery state signal (terminal voltage, current, and temperature) from the battery sensor 9a.
- step 102 the drive permission determination unit 20 reads the battery state signal based on the read battery state signal.
- the SOC is estimated and calculated.
- step 103 the drive permission determination unit 20 checks whether or not the vehicle is decelerating.
- step 104 the drive permission determination unit 20 confirms whether or not the SOC is equal to or less than a maximum upper limit SOCm for avoiding a predetermined overcharge.
- step 104 the drive permission determination unit 20 confirms whether or not the SOC is equal to or less than a maximum upper limit SOCm for avoiding a predetermined overcharge.
- step 105 when the drive flag is not set, the drive permission determination unit 20 sets the drive flag and then returns to the process of step 101. If the drive flag is set, the process returns to step 101 while the drive flag is set.
- step 106 the drive permission determination unit 20 resets the drive flag and then returns to the process of step 101. If the drive flag is not set, the process returns to step 101 as it is.
- control unit 2 sets the alternator 6 in the driving state when the driving flag is set, and sets the alternator 6 in the non-driving state when the driving flag is not set. Therefore, the alternator 6 is driven by the control unit 2 to generate power while the drive flag is set, and supplies power to the battery 9 and the in-vehicle device 10.
- Step 107 the drive permission determination unit 20 determines that the engine speed specified from the output signal of the rotation sensor 12 and the accelerator opening specified from the output signal of the accelerator sensor 13
- the driving device information stored in the RAM 26 is read.
- the drive device information is information indicating which in-vehicle device 10 among a plurality of in-vehicle devices 10 driven by the electric power supplied from the battery 9 is driven as described above.
- step 108 the drive permission determination unit 20 calculates the torque of the engine 3 based on the engine rotation speed and the accelerator opening, and in the subsequent step 109, the drive permission determination unit 20 calculates the engine rotation speed and torque. Based on the power generation cost map M1, the power generation cost is obtained on the power generation cost map M1.
- the drive permission determination part 20 refers to the drive device information memorize
- the drive permission determination unit 20 refers to the drive permission zone map M2 based on the power generation cost obtained in step 108 and the power consumption obtained in step 110, and the SOC (charge rate) of the battery 9 is determined. Then, it is confirmed whether or not the vehicle is within the drive permission zone (power generation region) in the drive permission zone map M2.
- FIG. 4 is a diagram for explaining the drive permission zone map M2.
- the horizontal axis represents the SOC (charge rate) and the vertical axis represents the power generation cost, which is used to determine whether or not the alternator 6 can be driven.
- a boundary line (driving permission upper limit line C) is set. Therefore, by referring to the drive permission zone map M2 based on the SOC (charge rate) of the battery 9, the SOC is changed to one side (lower left side in the figure) and the other side (upper right side in the figure). ), It is possible to determine whether or not the alternator 6 can be driven.
- a plurality of drive permission upper limit lines C are set in accordance with the total power consumption of the in-vehicle device 10 being driven for a region where the power generation cost is equal to or greater than the predetermined value ⁇ .
- the total power consumption of the in-vehicle device 10 being driven is considered in addition to the SOC.
- the drive permission upper limit line C (Ca, Cb, Cc) is an alternator as the power generation cost increases (engine efficiency decreases) starting from the maximum upper limit SOCm in a region where the power generation cost is equal to or greater than the predetermined value ⁇ . 6 is set such that the threshold value (threshold value SOC) for determining the driving of 6 decreases.
- the threshold value SOC threshold value for determining the driving of 6 decreases.
- the power generation cost is “small”
- the hatched area in the figure is a drive permission zone Z that permits the drive of the alternator 6, and the SOC is located in this drive permission zone Z. In this case, the drive of the alternator 6 is permitted.
- the degree of decrease in the SOC with respect to the increase in power generation cost becomes gentler as the power consumption increases. Yes. Therefore, the SOC when the power generation cost is maximum on the drive permission upper limit line Cc when the power consumption is “large” is the maximum power generation cost on the drive permission upper limit line Ca when the power consumption is “small”. It is higher than the SOC at the time.
- the inner side of the area surrounded by the broken line in FIG. 4 shows the drive permission in the conventional example in which the drive of the alternator is permitted regardless of the power generation cost (engine efficiency) if the SOC is not more than the maximum upper limit SOCm. Zone ranges are shown for reference.
- step 111 when the SOC (charge rate) of the battery 9 is located within the drive permission zone Z in the above-described step 111 (step 111, Yes), the process of step 112. Migrate to In step 112, if the drive flag is not set, the drive permission determination unit 20 sets the drive flag and then returns to the process of step 101. If the drive flag is set, the process returns to step 101 while the drive flag is set.
- step 113 when the drive flag is set, the drive permission determination unit 20 resets (clears) the drive flag, and then returns to the process of step 101. If the drive flag is not set, the process returns to step 101 as it is.
- step 103, No when the vehicle is not decelerating (step 103, No), the alternator 6 is driven on condition that the SOC (charge rate) of the battery 9 is in the drive permission zone Z in the drive permission zone map M2.
- the battery 9 and the vehicle-mounted device 10 are supplied with the normal voltage (15V) generated by the alternator 6.
- the alternator 6 is driven by the reverse drive force from the wheel 5 via the transmission 4 and the engine 3, that is, regenerative energy, to avoid overcharging. Therefore, the battery 9 is charged within a range not exceeding the maximum upper limit value SOCm.
- the SOC upper limit (drive permission upper limit line C) at which the drive of the alternator 6 is permitted changes according to the power consumption by the in-vehicle device 10, for example, when the power consumption is large, the drive starts early due to the high SOC upper limit. Therefore, there is no possibility that charging cannot catch up with discharging of the battery 9.
- the engine control device 1 forms the power management system in the invention, and the power generation cost of the alternator 6 corresponds to the engine efficiency.
- the vehicle equipment 10 corresponds to a battery load.
- the embodiment is configured as described above.
- an alternator 6 that generates electric power by the driving force or regenerative power of the engine 3;
- a battery 9 to be charged by the power generated by the alternator 6;
- a control unit 2 for controlling the drive or stop of the alternator 6, and
- An engine vehicle (vehicle) in which the control unit 2 drives the alternator 6 attached to the engine 3 according to the permission determination of the drive permission determination unit 20 provided in the control unit 2 and charges the battery 9 with the generated power of the alternator 6.
- the drive permission determination unit 20 When the vehicle is decelerating, it is determined whether or not the alternator 6 can be driven based on the SOC (charge rate) of the battery 9. When the vehicle is not decelerating, based on the engine efficiency and the SOC of the battery 9. , Determine whether the alternator 6 can be driven, The alternator 6 is configured to be driven or stopped according to the determination of availability.
- the alternator 6 when the alternator 6 is driven when the vehicle is decelerating, the alternator 6 is driven by regenerative energy to generate electric power, thereby realizing high fuel consumption performance. Further, when the alternator 6 is driven to generate electric power when the vehicle is not decelerating in order to cope with insufficient charging of the battery 9, whether the alternator 6 can be driven is determined in consideration of not only the SOC but also the engine efficiency. Since the determination is made, it is possible to suppress the consumption of the engine output with a fine measure.
- the drive permission determination unit 20 When the vehicle is decelerating, the drive of the alternator 6 is permitted when the SOC of the battery 9 is equal to or less than the maximum upper limit SOCm for avoiding overcharging of the battery 9, When the vehicle is not decelerating, it is determined whether or not the alternator 6 can be driven based on a drive permission zone map defined by a drive permission upper limit line C that defines the upper limit of the SOC that permits the drive of the alternator 6;
- the drive permission upper limit line C is configured such that the SOC decreases as the engine efficiency decreases from the predetermined value ⁇ (as the power generation cost increases from the predetermined value ⁇ ). With reference to the drive permission zone map M2 partitioned by the drive permission upper limit line C, power generation by the alternator 6 is performed.
- the drive of the alternator 6 is permitted only when the SOC of the battery 9 is within the drive permission zone Z in the drive permission zone map M2 partitioned by the drive permission upper limit line C, thereby In a situation where the SOC is outside the drive permission zone Z and the power generation cost is large and the fuel consumption is high, the SOC is not driven until the SOC becomes low. In other words, since the alternator 6 is not driven except for the SOC that is low enough to be charged despite the deterioration of fuel consumption, the output of the engine output is significantly reduced compared to the conventional case of driving irrespective of the engine efficiency. Thus, the fuel consumption performance is improved.
- the drive permission zone map M2 includes a plurality of drive permission upper limit lines (Ca, Cb, Cc) so as to have a higher SOC than when the power consumption of the in-vehicle device 10 is larger, the drive permission determination unit 20
- the alternator 6 is driven based on the power consumption of the battery load even with a higher SOC than when the power consumption is smaller.
- the alternator 6 is driven with SOC according to the degree of progress of discharge of the battery 9 to charge the battery when not decelerating at a good timing. Done.
- the alternator 6 when the power generation cost is lower than the predetermined value ⁇ , the alternator 6 can be driven as long as it is equal to or lower than the maximum upper limit SOCm, and the fuel consumption performance is hardly adversely affected, as during vehicle deceleration. .
- the battery 9 can be charged with low power generation power generated by regenerative energy.
- the engine efficiency is the power generation cost of the alternator 6, and the increase in power generation cost corresponds to the decrease in engine efficiency.
- the SOC threshold value of the battery 9 in which the drive of the alternator 6 is permitted is set higher as the engine efficiency becomes higher and set lower as the engine efficiency becomes lower.
- the power generation cost is used as the engine efficiency, but the cost per output or the fuel consumption rate may be simply used.
- the power consumption is calculated based on driving device information indicating which of the in-vehicle devices 10 is driven.
- the power consumption is not limited to this, and a power meter installed in the power supply line from the battery 9 to the in-vehicle devices 10 is used. It can also be measured. Further, whether or not the vehicle is decelerating can be determined by detecting that the accelerator opening is zero instead of the fuel injection amount zero. By estimating the SOC only from the terminal voltage of the battery 9, the configuration becomes simpler and the processing speed in the control unit 2 is also increased.
- the alternator 6 is driven / non-driven by energizing / cutting off the field current.
- the alternator 6 may be mechanically connected / cut off from the rotating shaft of the engine by a solenoid or the like.
- the battery 9 is a lead storage battery, in addition to the battery 9, a sub-battery made of a capacitor can be connected to the alternator 6 so that the generated power can be efficiently stored even when the deceleration period of the vehicle is short. .
- FIG. 5 is a diagram for explaining the relationship between WGI (waste power generation index) and drive permission upper limit line C
- (a) is a diagram for explaining the relationship between WGI, SOC, and power generation cost.
- b) is a diagram showing drive permission upper limit lines Ca to Cc determined according to threshold values (WGI_a to WGI_c) set by WGI.
- FIG. 6 is a diagram for explaining the SOC threshold value (power generation stop threshold SOCs) for stopping the power generation by the alternator 6.
- FIG. 6A shows the power generation stop threshold SOCs and the drive permission zone map M2 shown in FIG. FIG.
- FIG. 5B is a diagram for explaining the relationship
- FIG. 5B is a diagram illustrating the SOC lower limit value (SOC_min) set to avoid overdischarge of the battery 9 from the drive permission zone map shown in FIG. It is the drive permission zone map which extracted and extracted the area
- SOC_min SOC lower limit value
- region between the upper limit value (maximum upper limit value SOCm) of SOC set in order to avoid charge In the drive permission zone map shown in FIG. 6B, for the sake of convenience of explanation, the region of the regenerative reception capacity is shown in a simplified manner so that it can be easily understood. This will be described using a drive permission zone map.
- the drive permission upper limit line C of the drive permission zone map M2 is set using one index (WGI (Wastful generation index): wasteful power generation index), and the alternator 6 is configured using the drive permission upper limit line C. Whether to drive is determined.
- the battery 9 is not charged to the maximum upper limit SOCm, but the power generated by the regenerative energy is charged using the power generation stop line (power generation stop threshold SOCs) based on the SOC. Therefore, the battery 9 is charged while leaving a capacity (regeneration receiving capacity) for the purpose.
- the SOC of the battery 9 is a power generation region with the drive permission upper limit line C of the drive permission zone map M2 (see FIG. 4) as a boundary. Whether or not power generation is possible is determined based on which of the discharge regions is present. For example, in the case of the drive permission upper limit line Ca in FIG. 4, the left side in the drawing is the power generation region (drive permission zone Z) and the right side in the drawing is the discharge region from the drive permission upper limit line Ca.
- the decision on whether or not to generate electricity is made based on the following concept. 1) When the SOC is large and the power generation cost is large, power generation is not performed (power generation is not permitted). 2) When the SOC is large and the power generation cost is low, power is generated depending on the power generation cost (conditional power generation permission) 3) When SOC is small and power generation cost is high, power is generated depending on SOC (conditional power generation permission) 4) Generate power when the SOC is small and the power generation cost is low (power generation permission)
- the driving permission upper limit line C defines a boundary of “power generation permission / power generation permission” based on this concept, and the boundary of “power generation permission / power generation permission” depends on two variables of SOC and power generation cost. Is determined. Here, by multiplying the SOC and the power generation cost, one variable can be used to determine whether or not the power generation by the alternator 6 is possible, and the boundary of “power generation permission / power generation permission” is linearly defined in the time series data. Can be set.
- a single variable is used as an index for determining useless power generation (described above WGI) (see FIG. 5A).
- WGI useless power generation
- a threshold WGI_TH for determining whether power generation is possible is set on the WGI, and the above-described drive permission upper limit line C is set from the set threshold WGI_TH.
- the region where the SOC decreases as the power generation cost on the drive permission upper limit line C (Ca to Cc) increases from the predetermined value ⁇ is the power generation cost on the Y axis.
- SOC can be expressed by the following formula (1) using the X axis (see FIG. 5B).
- Y (WGI_TH) / X (1) Therefore, when the threshold value WGI_TH is determined, the value of SOC (threshold value SOC) serving as a boundary for determining whether or not power generation is possible is determined for each power generation cost from this equation (1).
- Threshold value setting in this WGI may be set in consideration of WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Behicles Test Procedure), which is one of the fuel consumption test methods.
- ⁇ E el-phase (i) is electric power
- ⁇ alternator is alternator efficiency
- Willans factor is gasoline-power conversion efficiency
- alternator efficiency and gasoline-power conversion efficiency are fixed values.
- the correction amount ( ⁇ FC phase (i) ) is obtained from the battery power, alternator efficiency, and gasoline-power conversion efficiency (that is, determined by the characteristics of the vehicle), ((1 / ⁇ alternator ) ⁇ Willans factor ) corresponds to the power generation cost.
- a threshold is set on the above-described WGI, and the drive permission upper limit line C (see FIG. 4) set from the threshold set on this WGI is used. It is used to determine whether or not the alternator 6 can be driven. Thereby, in the fuel consumption evaluation during actual vehicle travel, a result close to the fuel consumption conversion corresponding to WLTP is obtained. Moreover, the fuel consumption evaluation between different vehicle types can be determined more fairly according to the WLTP.
- charging of the battery 9 by driving the alternator 6 is performed in a range where the SOC (charge rate) of the battery 9 does not exceed the maximum upper limit SOCm for avoiding overcharging. It is like that. Therefore, when the SOC (charge rate) of the battery 9 has already reached the maximum upper limit SOCm, the battery 9 is not charged, so the vehicle starts decelerating in this state, and the alternator 6 is decelerated. Even if power is generated with regenerative energy, the generated power cannot be charged in the battery 9.
- the power generation cost when using the regenerative energy is lower than the power generation cost when using the driving force of the engine, when the SOC of the battery 9 reaches the maximum upper limit SOCm, the power generation cost is low. Thus, the battery 9 cannot be charged with the electric power.
- the SOC in order to be able to charge the battery 9 with the electric power generated with regenerative energy and generated at a low power generation cost, the SOC is reduced more than the maximum upper limit SOCm.
- An upper limit value (power generation stop threshold SOCs) for charging the battery 9 with the electric power generated by the driving force of the engine is set (see FIG. 6).
- an area (regeneration acceptance capacity) for charging the electric power generated by the regenerative energy is secured on the SOC increasing side (right side in the figure) with respect to the power generation stop threshold SOCs. For example, when the SOC reaches the power generation stop threshold SOCs, the power generation in the alternator 6 using the driving force of the engine 3 is terminated and the charging of the battery 9 is terminated.
- the power generation stop threshold SOCs can be changed according to the traveling state of the vehicle. Specifically, the power generation stop threshold SOCs is changed when there is a traffic jam section or a downhill section on the route on which the host vehicle is scheduled to travel (see FIG. 7).
- the power generation stop threshold SOCs is changed when there is a traffic jam section or a downhill section on the route on which the host vehicle is scheduled to travel (see FIG. 7).
- the battery 9 is consumed and the SOC decreases when passing through the traffic jam section.
- power generation using regenerative energy can be performed. Therefore, it is possible to charge the battery 9 at a low power generation cost and increase the SOC.
- the power generation stop threshold SOCs is set to the maximum upper limit in order to charge the battery 9 with more power in advance.
- the value is changed to the side approaching the value SOCm (SOC increasing side).
- SOC increasing side the stop threshold value SOCs is changed to a side away from the maximum upper limit value SOCm (an SOC decreasing side).
- the power generation stop threshold value setting unit 21 checks whether or not there is a traffic jam section on the route planned for traveling of the host vehicle.
- the presence or absence of a traffic jam section can be confirmed from, for example, the position of the host vehicle and the traffic jam information acquired from the navigation device 16.
- the power generation stop threshold setting unit 21 calculates the estimated power consumption when passing through the traffic jam section.
- the traffic jam estimated time can be obtained from the distance of the traffic jam section and the average traveling speed of the vehicle predicted in the traffic jam section.
- the distance of the traffic jam section and the average travel speed of the predicted vehicle are, for example, It can be calculated from the traffic jam information acquired from the navigation device 16.
- the average power consumption at the time of traffic jam is determined by referring to the drive device information stored in the RAM 26 and identifying the vehicle device currently driven, and then the power consumption data of the vehicle device being driven It can be calculated from the estimated time.
- the power generation stop threshold setting unit 21 calculates the amount of power to be charged in the battery 9 before reaching the traffic jam section, determines the changed power generation stop threshold SOCs_A from the calculated power amount, and in step 204 The power generation stop threshold setting unit 21 changes the power generation stop threshold SOCs to the power generation stop threshold SOCs_A after the change.
- the power generation stop threshold SOCs is changed to the SOC increasing value (SOCs_A), and the upper limit of the amount of power that can be charged in the battery 9 is increased, so that a larger amount of power can be charged in the battery 9 accordingly. become.
- step 205 the power generation stop threshold value setting unit 21 checks whether or not the traffic congestion section has been passed. If the passage of the traffic congestion section is confirmed (step 205, Yes), the power generation stop threshold setting is performed in step 206. The unit 21 returns the power generation stop threshold value from the power generation stop threshold value SOCs_A after the change to the original power generation stop threshold value SOCs, and then returns to the process of step 201.
- the alternator 6 is driven by the driving force of the engine as necessary to charge the battery 9, so that the battery 9 is not excessively consumed. ing.
- the power generation stop threshold SOCs is held at the changed power generation stop threshold SOCs_A while the host vehicle passes through the traffic jam section. When the vehicle reaches the traffic congestion section, the original power generation stop threshold SOCs may be restored.
- step 201 when there is no traffic jam section on the route planned for traveling of the host vehicle (step 201, No), the process proceeds to step 206.
- step 206 the power generation stop threshold setting unit 21 confirms whether or not there is a downhill section on the route on which the host vehicle is scheduled to travel.
- the presence or absence of the downhill section can be confirmed from the position of the own vehicle and the map information acquired from the navigation device 16, for example.
- step 206 the power generation stop threshold setting unit 21 generates electric power that can be generated by regenerative energy when passing through the downhill section ( Expected regeneration amount) is calculated.
- the expected regeneration amount (expected regeneration amount) is estimated based on the potential energy obtained from the altitude difference information of the downhill section.
- the expected regeneration amount that can be expected when passing through the downhill section is estimated from the following equation (3).
- Potential energy Vehicle kinetic energy + Expected regenerative energy + Consumed energy (3)
- the kinetic energy of the vehicle is the kinetic energy required in the downhill section, and can be calculated from the current average traveling speed.
- the consumed energy includes heat energy consumed by the brake and the friction system when passing through the downhill section, and energy consumed by the operation of the engine brake. Therefore, the expected regeneration amount can be obtained by subtracting the kinetic energy and consumption energy of the vehicle from the potential energy.
- the output voltage of the alternator 6 and the battery 9 Estimated based on factors such as internal resistance.
- the power generation stop threshold setting unit 21 confirms whether or not the difference between the power generation stop threshold SOCs and the current SOC is equal to or greater than the expected regeneration amount. . If the difference ⁇ SOC between the power generation stop threshold SOCs and the current SOC is equal to or greater than the expected regeneration amount (Yes in Step 208), the process returns to Step 201 without changing the power generation stop threshold SOCs. . This is because the battery 9 can be charged with all the electric power generated by the rotational energy in the downhill section without changing the power generation stop threshold SOCs.
- step 208, No power is generated with regenerative energy in the downhill section unless the power generation stop threshold SOCs is changed.
- the power generation stop threshold setting unit 21 determines the power generation stop threshold SOCs_B after the change. Specifically, the power generation stop threshold SOCs_B after the change that allows the battery 9 to be charged with all of the electric power generated by the rotational energy is determined according to the difference between ⁇ SOC and the expected regeneration amount.
- step 210 the power generation stop threshold setting unit 21 changes the power generation stop threshold SOCs to the power generation stop threshold SOCs_B after the change, so the power generation stop threshold is changed to the SOC decreasing side, and the regenerative reception capacity increases. Will do.
- step 211 the power generation stop threshold value setting unit 21 confirms whether or not the vehicle has passed the downhill section. If the passage of the traffic congestion section is confirmed (step 211, Yes), the power generation stop threshold value in step 212.
- the setting unit returns the power generation stop threshold SOCs from the power generation stop threshold SOCs_B after the change to the original power generation stop threshold SOCs_A, and then returns to the process of step 201.
- the SOC increased by the power generation of the alternator 6 intersects the drive permission upper limit line Cb ((b) in FIG. 6, the SOC increases from the position P1 to the position P2).
- the SOC reaches the position P2 the drive of the alternator 6 is stopped and the charging of the battery 9 is completed.
- the SOC increased by the power generation of the alternator 6 intersects the power generation stop threshold SOCs ((b) in FIG. 6, the SOC increases from the position P3 to the position P4), the time when the SOC reaches the position P4
- the drive of the alternator 6 is stopped, and a capacity (regeneration receiving capacity) for charging the power generated by the regenerative energy is secured.
- the power generation stop threshold SOCs is set closer to the maximum upper limit SOCm (SOC) in order to charge the battery 9 with more power in advance. To the increase side). Also, if there is a downhill section on the route that the vehicle is scheduled to travel, there is an opportunity to charge at a low power generation cost in the future, so in order to secure in advance a capacity that can be charged at a low power generation cost, The stop threshold SOCs is changed to a side away from the maximum upper limit SOCm (SOC reduction side).
- the power generation cost can be reduced.
- the SOC reaches the maximum upper limit SOCm, and the power generated by the regenerative energy may be wasted. It can prevent suitably.
- the SOC of the power generated by the driving force of the engine can be suppressed, so the engine load is reduced by that amount, and fuel efficiency is improved. Can be expected.
- Modification 1 In the second embodiment, the case where the power generation stop threshold SOCs is changed according to the traveling state of the vehicle is exemplified. However, a plurality of threshold values WGI_TH in WGI (useless power generation index: see FIG. 5A) are set in advance. A plurality of drive permission upper limit lines Ca to Cc may be prepared (WGI_a to WGI_c), and the drive permission upper limit line C may be changed according to the traveling state of the vehicle.
- FIG. 9 is a diagram for explaining a plurality of drive permission upper limit lines C (Ca to Cc) and a power generation stop threshold SOCs when a plurality of threshold values WGI_TH in WGI are set (WGI_a to WGI_c).
- one threshold value WGI_TH for determining whether power generation is possible is set on WGI, and one drive permission upper limit line C described above is set from the one set threshold value. Yes. Therefore, by setting a plurality of threshold values set on the WGI with a width, a plurality of drive permission upper limit lines C (Ca to Cc) corresponding one-to-one to each threshold value can be derived (see FIG. 9). ).
- the drive permission upper limit line Ca in which the power generation region in the region where the power generation cost is high is the narrowest, the drive permission upper limit line Cc that is the widest, and the drive permission between these drive permission upper limit lines Ca and Cc.
- Three drive permission upper limit lines of the upper limit line Cb are shown.
- the cost will be lower than when generating electricity while driving in the traffic jam section.
- the drive permission upper limit line Cc having a wide area, the battery 9 can be charged at a lower power generation cost than when traveling in a traffic jam section.
- the drive permission upper limit line Ca having a narrow power generation permission area is set in anticipation of charging with low power generation cost using regenerative energy in the future. By selecting, it becomes possible to charge the battery 9 at a lower power generation cost.
- FIG. 10 is a diagram illustrating a case where the power generation stop threshold SOCs is changed according to the traveling speed of the vehicle.
- the power generation stop threshold SOCs is changed to the SOC decreasing side in order to charge the power generated by the regenerative energy, and regenerative acceptance is performed.
- the power generation stop threshold SOCs is changed to the SOC increase side to increase the capacity for charging the power generated by the driving force of the engine. May be.
- the drive permission upper limit line C is not limited to an aspect constituted by the three drive permission upper limit lines Ca to Cc (see FIG. 9). If a plurality of threshold values WGI_TH are set on WGI (waste power generation index), the same number of drive permission upper limit lines C as the set threshold values WGI_TH are determined. Therefore, the threshold value set on WGI is set according to the running state of the vehicle. For example, by making it possible to arbitrarily set between a preset lower limit and upper limit, the optimum drive permission upper limit line C can be freely set at that time.
- a configuration may be adopted in which whether or not power generation is possible is determined by combining the mode for switching the drive permission upper limit line C disclosed in the present modification with the mode for changing the power generation stop threshold SOCs described above.
- the SOC threshold value of the battery 9 that stops the alternator 6 is the battery charge limit value (maximum upper limit SOCm).
- the upper limit value (the power generation stop threshold SOCs) of the SOC of the battery 9 that permits the drive of the alternator 6 is set to be lower than the charging limit value (maximum upper limit value SOCm).
- the upper limit value of the SOC that permits the drive of the alternator 6 on the lower side of the SOC than the maximum upper limit value SOCm, and the upper limit value of the SOC when the vehicle is not decelerating (power generation stop threshold SOCs) Is set to be set.
- capacitance for charging the electric power generated with regenerative energy using the power generation stop threshold SOCs (power generation stop line) based on SOC instead of charging the battery 9 to the maximum upper limit SOCm. And the battery 9 is charged. Thereby, since the battery 9 can be charged with low power generation power using regenerative energy, the power generation cost can be reduced.
- the power generation stop threshold SOCs is a threshold at the time of RCB correction that is determined by the internationally harmonized exhaust gas and fuel consumption test method for passenger cars and the like and that corrects the fuel consumption according to the charge / discharge power amount by the battery.
- the threshold on the WGI is set in consideration of the influence on the result of the fuel consumption test by the fuel consumption test method, and the drive permission upper limit line C (FIG. 4) is set from the threshold set on the WGI.
- a good test result can be expected by determining whether or not the alternator 6 can be driven.
- the SOC of the battery 9 can be increased in advance, so that it is possible to suitably prevent the SOC of the battery 9 from being insufficient.
- the threshold value of the engine efficiency (power generation cost) that permits the drive of the alternator 6 is set higher as the SOC of the battery 9 becomes higher and lower as the SOC of the battery 9 becomes lower.
- the engine 9 (power generation cost) is high, and the battery 9 can be charged with power generated at a low power generation cost.
- the power generation stop threshold setting unit 21 is configured to change the power generation stop threshold SOCs according to the increase / decrease prediction of the SOC,
- the power generation stop threshold value setting unit 21 changes the power generation stop threshold value SOCs to the SOC increasing side when a decrease in the SOC is predicted, and changes the power generation stop threshold value SOCs to the SOC value when the increase in the SOC is predicted.
- the configuration is changed to the decreasing side.
- the power generation stop threshold SOCs can be changed to the increase side of the SOC and the SOC of the battery 9 can be increased in advance, so that the SOC is insufficient. Can be suitably prevented. Further, when the increase in the SOC is predicted, the power generation stop threshold SOCs can be changed to the decrease side of the SOC, and the amount of power received by the battery 9 can be secured. Thus, it is possible to suitably prevent the generated power from being wasted.
- the traveling state determination unit 22 When there is a traffic jam section or an uphill section on the planned driving path of the vehicle, a decrease in SOC is predicted, When a downhill section exists on the planned traveling path of the vehicle, a decrease in SOC is predicted.
- the drive permission upper limit line C is set using one threshold value WGI_TH set on one index (waste power generation index: WGI) obtained by multiplying the engine efficiency (power generation cost) and the SOC of the battery 9. The configuration.
- the alternator 6 is driven while balancing useless power generation and useful power generation. It is possible to optimize the power generation cost of the power charged in the battery 9 by controlling the power generation by.
- the threshold value in WGI is set so that the remaining amount (SOC: charge rate) of the auxiliary battery at the end of the fuel consumption test is an appropriate remaining amount in consideration of WLTP which is one of the fuel consumption test methods. Since it is set, an appropriate drive permission upper limit line C can be set from one threshold set on the WGI to obtain a preferable test result.
- One threshold set on the WGI is set according to the increase / decrease prediction of the SOC of the battery 9.
- an appropriate drive permission upper limit line C can be set according to the increase / decrease prediction of the SOC, so that power generation by driving the alternator 6 is controlled while balancing wasteful power generation and beneficial power generation, The power generation cost of the power charged in the battery 9 can be optimized.
- FIG. 11 illustrates the relationship between the SOC (charging rate) of the battery 9 and the power generation cost when the vehicle is traveling at a substantially constant high speed (during high-speed constant speed traveling), using a drive permission zone map.
- FIG. 12 is a diagram for explaining a drive permission zone map when the generated voltage of the alternator 6 is changed.
- FIG. 13 is a flowchart for explaining a drive process of the alternator 6 accompanied by a change in the generated voltage according to the traveling state of the vehicle.
- the power generation by the alternator 6 when the power generation by the alternator 6 has a high power generation cost, the power generation by the alternator 6 is performed within a range in which the discharge of the battery 9 can be suppressed, not the charging of the battery 9.
- the third embodiment will be specifically described below.
- the relationship between the SOC (charge rate) of the battery 9 and the power generation cost when the vehicle is traveling at a substantially constant high speed (high speed constant speed traveling) will be described.
- a substantially constant high speed such as when traveling on a highway (during high-speed constant speed traveling)
- power generation by regenerative energy cannot be expected.
- the in-vehicle device that is driven by the power from the battery 9 is driven even when traveling at high speed, and the power of the battery 9 is consumed. Therefore, in the state where the power generation by the alternator 6 is not performed, the SOC is changed over time. Will be reduced. Then, as shown in FIG. 11, when the SOC decreases from the position P5 to the position P6 in FIG. 11, when the SOC crosses the drive permission upper limit line Cb to the SOC decreasing side, the SOC enters the power generation region. When it is determined that there is, the alternator 6 is driven. Therefore, even when the vehicle with high power generation cost is traveling at high speed, it is necessary to drive the alternator 6 using the driving force of the engine to generate power.
- the driving force of the engine is reduced under a situation where power generation at a low power generation cost using regenerative energy cannot be expected, such as when the host vehicle is traveling at a substantially constant high speed.
- the voltage required for driving the in-vehicle device 10 is By generating a voltage (12V) lower than the power generation voltage (15V) from the alternator 6, power generation at a high power generation cost is minimized.
- step 301 the traveling state determination unit 22 confirms whether or not the host vehicle is traveling at a substantially constant high speed (whether or not the vehicle is traveling at a high speed and a constant speed).
- whether or not the vehicle is traveling at a high speed and a constant speed is determined by comparing the current vehicle speed specified from the output signal of the vehicle speed sensor 14 with a threshold value for determining the high speed traveling. For example, when the vehicle speed is 80 km / h or more, it is determined that the vehicle is traveling at a high speed. Incidentally, in the embodiment, the vehicle speed is. When it is less than 80 km / h and 20 km / h or more, it is determined that the vehicle is traveling at a medium speed, and when it is less than 20 km / h, it is determined that the vehicle is traveling at a low speed.
- Whether or not the vehicle is traveling at a substantially constant high speed is determined by determining whether or not the acceleration specified from the output signal of the vehicle speed sensor 14 is traveling at a substantially constant speed (constant speed traveling). It is determined based on whether or not it is within the threshold range. For example, when the acceleration is within a range of ⁇ 0.5 G, it is determined that the vehicle is traveling at a constant speed.
- step 302 the output voltage setting unit 23 checks whether or not the current SOC is within the power generation region.
- the drive permission upper limit line Cb is used for the determination of the drive / stop of the alternator 6 (see FIG. 11).
- the SOC of the battery 9 decreases with time due to the power consumption of the in-vehicle device. Therefore, the SOC generates the drive permission upper limit line Cb from the discharge region side.
- the current SOC is within the power generation region (see FIG. 11, change from position P5 to position P6).
- Step 301 and Step 302 are repeatedly executed while the host vehicle continues high speed constant speed traveling.
- step 303 the output voltage setting unit 23 checks whether or not the current SOC is larger than a charging start threshold SOCc for determining whether or not the SOC that needs to start charging the battery 9 is determined. To do.
- the output voltage setting unit 23 uses the generated voltage of the alternator 6 to charge the battery 9. A voltage (12V) lower than the normal voltage (15V) is set, and power generation at the set low voltage (12V) is started.
- This low voltage (12V) is a voltage that can drive the in-vehicle device 10 although the battery 9 cannot be charged, and corresponds to the output voltage of the battery 9, so that the alternator 6 generates electricity at 12V. Can suppress the decrease in the SOC of the battery 9. That is, instead of charging the battery 9 with power generation at a high power generation cost, the output voltage of the alternator 6 is lowered to the output voltage of the battery 9 necessary for driving the in-vehicle device 10, thereby generating power at a high power generation cost. Is suppressed.
- the output voltage setting unit 23 sets the SOC (charge rate) target value (target SOC) in the battery 9 when the power generation voltage of the alternator 6 is set to a voltage (12 V) lower than the normal voltage (15 V). ) Is set to the above-described charging start threshold SOCc.
- the charging start threshold SOCc is the lowest value that the target SOC of the battery 9 can take, and as described above, when the SOC becomes less than the charging start threshold SOCc, charging of the battery 9 is started. Therefore, the target SOC of the battery 9 is set to the charging start threshold value SOCc that is the lowest possible value, so that the electric power generated by the alternator 6 is not used for charging the battery 9 but for driving in-vehicle devices. It has come to be used.
- step 305 the traveling state determination unit 22 confirms whether or not a condition for returning the output voltage of the alternator 6 to the normal voltage (15 V) is satisfied. Specifically, it is confirmed whether or not the current power generation cost has become smaller than a threshold (voltage return threshold: see FIG. 12) that permits power generation at a normal output voltage.
- a threshold voltage return threshold: see FIG. 12
- step 306 the output voltage setting unit 23 changes the output voltage of the alternator 6 to the current low voltage (12V). To a normal voltage (15 V) at which the battery 9 can be charged.
- the output voltage of the alternator 6 is held at a voltage (12V) lower than the normal voltage (15V) until the power generation cost is reduced and the condition for returning the output voltage of the alternator 6 to the normal voltage is satisfied.
- the alternator 6 continues to generate power by the voltage necessary for driving the in-vehicle device.
- the power consumption increases due to an increase in the number of driving on-board devices while the output voltage of the alternator 6 is held at a low voltage (12 V), the power used by the on-board devices is generated by the alternator 6. It may become impossible to cover. In this case, the SOC of the battery 9 decreases with time (see the change from the position P6 to the position P8 in FIG. 12).
- step 303 when the SOC crosses the threshold value for determining the start of charging of the battery 9 (charging start threshold value SOCc) to the decrease side of the SOC, the determination in step 303 described above is denied.
- the output voltage setting unit 23 changes the output voltage of the alternator 6 from the current low voltage (12 V) to the normal voltage (15 V) at which the battery 9 can be charged.
- the SOC does not exceed the threshold SOC_min for preventing the battery 9 from being overdischarged.
- the region where the SOC of the battery 9 is located changes to the medium speed traveling region side. (Refer to change from position P6 to position P7 in FIG. 12) Then, when the SOC becomes smaller than a threshold value (voltage return threshold value) for permitting power generation at the normal output voltage (15 V), a condition for returning the output voltage of the alternator 6 to the normal voltage is satisfied ( Step 305, Yes).
- a threshold value voltage return threshold value
- the output voltage of the alternator 6 is changed from the current low voltage (12V) to the normal voltage (15V) that allows the battery 9 to be charged.
- the battery 9 is charged with the electric power.
- a control unit 2 power generation control device that controls an alternator 6 (generator) that generates power with the driving force of the engine 3 and charges the battery 9;
- a drive permission determination unit 20 determination unit that determines whether the alternator is driven / stopped based on the engine efficiency and the SOC of the battery;
- a traveling state determination unit 22 a traveling state determination unit that determines a traveling state of the vehicle;
- An output voltage setting unit 23 output voltage setting means for setting the output voltage of the alternator 6 to a first voltage (15 V) that can be charged to the battery 9 or a second voltage (12 V) that is an output voltage of the battery 9; With The output voltage setting unit 23 When the traveling state determination unit 22 determines that the vehicle is traveling at a high speed and the drive permission determination unit 20 determines to drive the alternator 6, The output voltage of the alternator 6 is set to the second voltage (12V).
- the power generation by the alternator 6 when the vehicle is traveling at high speed is power generation with high power generation cost. Then, when the vehicle is traveling at a high speed, since regeneration after deceleration is refrained, it is not necessary to generate power at a high power generation cost and charge the battery 9. Therefore, when the output voltage of the alternator 6 is set to the second voltage (12 V) that is the output voltage of the battery 9 configured as described above, the power consumed by the in-vehicle device that is driven by the output voltage of the battery 9 is used. At least can be supplied. Thereby, the amount of power generation at a high power generation cost can be suppressed while avoiding the battery 9 from being overdischarged.
- the electric power generated with the alternator 6 can be used for the drive of the vehicle-mounted apparatus 10 without charging the battery 9, the electric power generation cost in the alternator 6 can be minimized and the power generation cost is high. The amount of power generation at can be reliably suppressed.
- the output voltage setting unit 23 sets the output voltage of the alternator 6 to the second voltage (12V), and then the alternator when the traveling state determination unit 22 determines that the vehicle is not traveling at a high speed. 6 was set to the first voltage (15 V).
- the power generation cost increases as the traveling speed of the vehicle increases, and decreases as the traveling speed decreases. Therefore, if comprised as mentioned above, after power generation cost falls by the fall of the running speed of a vehicle, the power generation voltage of the alternator 6 will be returned to the 1st voltage (15V), and the charge to the battery 9 will be started. Therefore, the battery 9 can be charged at a lower power generation cost.
- the drive permission determination unit 20 When the vehicle is decelerating, if the SOC of the battery 9 is equal to or less than the maximum upper limit SOCm for avoiding overcharging of the battery 9, the alternator 6 is allowed to drive and the generator 6 generates power. When the vehicle is not decelerating, the SOC of the battery 9 is driven by referring to the drive permission zone map defined by the drive permission upper limit line C where the SOC decreases as the power generation cost increases from the predetermined value ⁇ . Only when it is in the drive permission zone in the permission zone map, the drive of the alternator 6 is permitted and power generation by the alternator 6 is performed.
- FIG. 14 is a diagram for explaining the drive / stop control of the alternator 6 using the drive permission zone map.
- the alternator 6 is driven / stopped using one drive permission upper limit line Cb, It is a figure explaining the case where the determination line for a stop is prepared separately.
- FIG. 15 is a diagram illustrating the relationship between the vehicle speed and the change amount ⁇ SOC of the SOC (charge rate).
- the drive and stop of the alternator 6 is determined using one drive permission upper limit line C is exemplified.
- the drive determination for determining the drive of the alternator.
- a stop determination line driving permission upper limit line for determining the stop of the alternator, and switching between the two determination lines to control power generation / power generation stop by driving / stopping the alternator 6 It has become.
- the hysteresis is changed according to the power generation cost. Specifically, the higher the power generation cost, the smaller the hysteresis, and the smaller the power generation cost, the larger the hysteresis, and the higher the power generation cost, the more the power generation cost increases from the start of power generation for charging to the battery 9. The time until is shortened.
- the drive permission upper limit line Cb is used as a drive determination line for determining the start of power generation by the alternator 6 and a stop determination line Cb ′ for determining the end of power generation by the alternator 6 is used. Separately from the drive permission upper limit line Cb described above, the two determination lines are switched to drive / stop the alternator 6.
- ⁇ SOC hysteresis
- the traveling speed (vehicle speed) of the vehicle increases, while the amount of power generated by the regenerative energy during subsequent deceleration increases. For this reason, the higher the vehicle speed, the greater the amount of power generated by the regenerative energy thereafter. Therefore, it is preferable to reduce the amount of power generated.
- the hysteresis between the drive determination line and the stop determination line is reduced as the vehicle speed increases.
- the higher the vehicle speed the smaller the amount of change in SOC ( ⁇ SOC) from the start of power generation by driving the alternator 6 to the end of power generation by stopping the alternator 6, and charging at high power generation costs. (See FIG. 15: setting 1 and setting 2).
- the hysteresis for each vehicle speed is determined using the relationship between the vehicle speed and ⁇ SOC shown in FIG.
- ⁇ SOC as the vehicle speed changes from the set upper limit vehicle speed Vmax to the minimum vehicle speed ( 0 km / h).
- the hysteresis at each vehicle speed (power generation cost) is determined on the basis of setting 1 that increases at a constant rate.
- the stop determination line Cb ′ determined based on this setting 1 is a stop determination line as shown in FIG.
- the driving process of the alternator 6 for driving / stopping the alternator 6 using two determination lines will be described using the flowchart of FIG. 18 and the drive permission zone map of FIG.
- the stop determination line Cb ′ is a stop determination line based on setting 1 of FIG.
- the driving process using the two determination lines is started when the power generation by the alternator 6 is stopped (Yes in step 401) and the traveling state of the host vehicle is the acceleration state or the high-speed traveling state. (Step 402, Yes).
- step 403 the drive permission determination unit 20 uses a determination line that defines the timing of power generation start by the alternator 6 as The drive determination line Cb is selected.
- the drive permission determination unit 20 confirms whether the SOC is in the power generation region.
- the drive permission determination unit 20 confirms whether or not the host vehicle is in a deceleration state.
- step 406 when the own vehicle is in a decelerating state (step 406, Yes), the driving process of the alternator 6 using the two determination lines is ended. This is because the driving process is performed when the host vehicle is accelerated or traveling at high speed.
- step 405 the drive permission determination unit 20 drives the alternator 6 to start charging the battery 9. As a result, the SOC of the battery 9 increases as the charging progresses.
- the drive permission determination unit 20 selects the stop determination line Cb ′ as a determination line that defines the timing of power generation stop by the alternator 6.
- the stop determination line Cb ′ is positioned on the SOC increasing side with respect to the drive determination line Cb, and there is a difference ( ⁇ SOC) in the SOC value even at the same power generation cost. Therefore, even if the SOC of the battery 9 starts to increase due to the drive of the alternator 6, the stop of the alternator 6 is not determined immediately after the increase.
- step S407 the drive permission determination unit 20 checks in step 408 whether the SOC is in the discharge region. This is because the SOC increases with time due to the start of power generation by the alternator 6 in step 405 and approaches the stop determination line Cb ′.
- step 408 it is determined that the SOC is not in the power generation region (No in step 408). Then, if the host vehicle is decelerated until the increased SOC reaches the position P14 where it intersects the stop determination line Cb ′, the determination in step 410 is affirmed, and the alternator 6 using the two determination lines is The driving process ends. This is because the driving process is performed when the host vehicle is accelerated or traveling at high speed.
- step 410 the acceleration state or high-speed traveling state of the host vehicle is maintained (No in Step 410), that is, the host vehicle is not decelerated, the SOC of the battery 9 further increases, and the SOC is stopped.
- step 409 the drive permission determination unit 20 stops driving the alternator 6 and finishes charging the battery 9, and then proceeds to the process of step 402. Return.
- the drive / stop control of the alternator 6 is performed while switching the determination lines (drive determination line Cb, stop determination line Cb ′). It will be.
- the SOC difference ( ⁇ SOC) between the drive determination line Cb and the stop determination line Cb ′ is set so as to decrease as the power generation cost increases and to increase as the power generation cost decreases. Yes. Therefore, as the power generation cost increases, the period from the start of power generation by driving the alternator 6 to the stop of power generation by stopping the alternator 6 is shortened, so that charging of the battery 9 with the power generated at a high power generation cost is suppressed. It has become so.
- the difference ⁇ between the power generation stop threshold SOCs on the drive determination line Cb and the power generation stop threshold SOCs ′ on the stop determination line Cb ′ is the minimum that can avoid chattering. Is set to a value. This is to secure an area (regeneration acceptance area) for receiving power generated by power generation using regenerative energy.
- the hysteresis at each vehicle speed may be determined based on setting 2 in which the increase amount is not a constant ratio (changes in a geometric series). That is, the stop of the alternator 6 may be determined using the stop determination line Cb ′ (FIG. 17) created based on this setting 2.
- a control unit 2 power generation control device that controls an alternator 6 (generator) that generates power with the driving force of the engine 3 and charges the battery 9;
- a drive permission determination unit 20 determination unit that determines whether to drive / stop the alternator 6 based on the engine efficiency and the SOC of the battery;
- the drive permission determination unit 20 When the SOC becomes smaller than the drive threshold SOC for determining the drive of the alternator 6, the drive of the alternator 6 is determined,
- the SOC is configured to determine the stop of the alternator 6 when the SOC becomes larger than a stop threshold SOC for determining the stop of the alternator 6.
- the stop threshold SOC is higher than the drive threshold SOC as the engine efficiency is higher and the power generation cost is lower.
- the higher the engine efficiency and the lower the power generation cost the longer the interval from the drive to stop of the alternator 6 and the greater the amount of power generation.
- the lower the engine efficiency and the higher the power generation cost The interval from driving to stopping is shortened and the amount of power generation is reduced. Therefore, while suppressing the power generation by the drive of the alternator 6 when the engine efficiency is low, Power generation by driving the alternator 6 when the engine efficiency is high can be performed for a long time. As a result, the load on the engine when the engine efficiency is low can be reduced, so that an improvement in fuel efficiency can be expected.
- chattering since the generation of chattering in which the power generation by the drive of the alternator 6 and the power generation stop by the stop of the alternator 6 are alternately repeated in a short time can be suitably suppressed, the occupant of the vehicle is caused by the occurrence of chattering. Having an unpleasant feeling can be suitably prevented.
- the stop threshold SOC is set to be larger than the drive threshold SOC.
- the battery 9 can be appropriately charged with the power generated by the alternator 6.
- the determination of alternator driving / stopping by comparing the SOC with the driving threshold SOC or the stopping threshold SOC is as follows: The configuration is implemented when the vehicle is accelerated or when the vehicle is traveling at a constant high speed at a predetermined speed or higher.
- chattering occurs in which the alternator 6 repeats driving and stopping alternately during acceleration of the vehicle or at a constant speed and high speed above the predetermined speed of the vehicle
- the driving force of the vehicle increases or decreases in conjunction with the driving and stopping of the alternator. Therefore, the driver of the vehicle may feel uncomfortable with the driving characteristics of the vehicle. If comprised as mentioned above, since generation

Abstract
Description
Y= (WGI_TH)/X ・・・(1)
WGI_TH=YWLTP×X
=((1/ηalternator)×Willansfactor)×X
WGI_TH=(WLTP試験での補正量/電力)×SOC
