 このような固形物が、遠心圧縮機の流路や回転部材に付着すると、付着した固形物によって流路内の流れに悪影響が及び、性能低下を招く。また、固形物の付着や剥離が生じると、回転部材におけるバランスが崩れ、振動の発生に繋がる。
 そこで、例えば、特許文献1には、遠心圧縮機の流路に付着・堆積する固形物を除去するため、スプレー式のノズルを設置し、微粒化した洗浄液を流路内に噴射する構成が開示されている。

 しかしながら、特許文献1に開示されたように、ノズルから洗浄液を流路内に噴射する構成においては、いかなるタイミングで洗浄液を噴射すべきかの判断が難しい。そこで、流路への固形物の付着・堆積状況を確認するために、遠心圧縮機を分解する等し、流路内を直接目視しなければならず、これには手間とコストがかかる。さらにはその確認作業中は、圧縮機を稼働させることができず、稼働率の低下に繋がる。
 本発明は、流路への固形物の付着・堆積状況を容易に確認して、メンテナンスの手間及びコストを抑えるとともに、圧縮率の稼働率を向上させることのできる回転機械の検査方法、回転機械を提供することを目的とする。
 本発明に係る第一態様によれば、回転機械の検査方法は、流体が流れる流路を有した回転機械の検査方法であって、前記回転機械の静止部品において前記流路に臨む位置に設けた非接触センサにより、前記流路の幅を計測する工程と、計測した前記流路の幅が予め定めた下限閾値未満であるか否かを判定する工程と、を含んでいる。
 このような構成によれば、非接触センサで回転機械のケーシング内に形成された流路の流路幅を計測することによって、回転機械を分解することなく、流路への固形物の付着・堆積状況を確認することができる。
 具体的には、流路壁面に固形物が付着すれば、流路幅は狭くなる。したがって、計測した流路幅が予め定めた下限閾値未満であれば、流路に固形物が一定以上付着していると容易に判定することができる。
 本発明に係る第二態様によれば、回転機械の検査方法は、第一態様において、計測した前記流路の幅が予め定めた下限閾値未満であるときに、前記流路内に洗浄液を噴射して前記流路内に付着した固形物を除去する工程、をさらに含むようにしてもよい。
 このような構成によれば、流路に固形物が一定以上付着している場合に、洗浄液を噴射して固形物を除去することで、適切なタイミングで固形物の除去を行うことができる。
 本発明に係る第三態様によれば、回転機械の検査方法は、第二態様において、前記固形物を除去する工程を行っている間に、前記非接触センサにより前記流路の幅を計測し、計測した前記流路の幅が予め定めた上限閾値以上となった場合に、前記固形物を除去する工程を終了するようにしてもよい。
 固形物の除去処理中、付着していた固形物が除去されることによって、流路幅が広がる。流路幅が上限閾値以上となり、付着していた固形物が、予め定めた基準以上に除去された場合に、固形物の除去を終えることができる。これにより、洗浄液の使用量を抑え、固形物の除去処理を効率よく行うことができる。
 本発明に係る第四態様によれば、回転機械は、流体が流れる流路が形成されたケーシングと、前記ケーシングの静止部品における前記流路に臨む位置に設けられ、前記流路の幅を計測する非接触センサと、を備えている。
 このような構成によれば、非接触センサにより、回転機械を運転した状態でも流路の流路幅を検出することができる。これにより、回転機械を分解することなく、流路への固形物の付着・堆積状況を確認することができる。
 本発明に係る第五態様によれば、回転機械は、第四態様において、前記流路内に付着した固形物を除去する洗浄液を噴射するノズルを備えたインジェクション装置と、前記非接触センサで計測した前記流路の幅に応じて、前記インジェクション装置の動作を制御する制御部と、をさらに備えるようにしてもよい。
 制御部の制御により、固形物の付着が多い場合には、インジェクション装置を作動させて固形物の除去処理を自動的に行うことができる。また、付着していた固形物が除去できた段階で、除去処理を自動的に停止させることができる。
 上述した回転機械の検査方法、回転機械によれば、流路への固形物の付着・堆積状況を容易に確認して、メンテナンスの手間及びコストを抑えるとともに、圧縮率の稼働率を向上させることが可能となる。

[第一実施形態]
 図1に示すように、本実施形態の回転機械である遠心圧縮機(回転機械)10は、主として、ケーシング20と、ケーシング20内で中心軸O回りに回転自在に支持された回転軸30と、回転軸30に取り付けられて遠心力を利用してプロセスガス(流体)Gを圧縮するインペラ40と、を備えている。
 ケーシング20には、回転軸30の中心軸O方向に配列された複数のリング部材(ダイヤフラム)22が設けられている。また、このケーシング20には、縮径及び拡径を繰り返す内部空間21が設けられている。この内部空間21にはインペラ40が収容される。インペラ40を収容した際にインペラ40同士の間となる位置にインペラ40を流通するプロセスガスス(流体)Gを上流側から下流側に流通させる静止部品側流路(流路)50が形成されている。
 ケーシング20の一端部20aにはプロセスガスGを外部から静止部品側流路50に流入させる吸込口23が設けられている。また、ケーシング20の他端部20bには、静止部品側流路50に連続して、プロセスガスGを外部に流出させる排出口24が設けられている。
 ケーシング20の一端部20a側及び他端部20b側には、それぞれ回転軸30の両端部を支持する支持孔25,26が形成されている。回転軸30は、これら支持孔25,26に、ジャーナル軸受27を介して中心軸O回りに回転自在に支持されている。また、ケーシング20の一端部20aには、さらにスラスト軸受28が設けられ、回転軸30は、その一端側30aが、スラスト軸受28を介して中心軸O方向に回転自在に支持されている。
 複数のインペラ40は、ケーシング20における各々のリング部材22の内部に、回転軸30の中心軸O方向に間隔を空けて収容されている。なお、図1において、インペラ40が6つ設けられている場合の一例を示しているが、インペラ40は、少なくとも1つ以上設けられていればよい。
 図2に示すように、インペラ40は、ディスク部41と複数のブレード部42とカバー部43とを備えた、いわゆるクローズドインペラであるが、カバー部43が設けられていないオープンインペラであってもよい。
 静止部品側流路50は、ディフューザ部51と、リターンベンド部52と、戻り流路部53と、から形成されている。
 ディフューザ部51は、インペラ40の外周側から、外周側に向けて延びるよう形成されている。
 リターンベンド部52は、ディフューザ部51の外周部に連続して形成されている。リターンベンド部52は、ディフューザ部51の外周部からケーシング20の他端部20b側に、断面視U字状に回り込み、内周側に向けて形成されている。
 戻り流路部53は、リターンベンド部52から内周側に向けて形成されている。
 各インペラ40においては、ディスク部41、カバー部43、及び周方向に隣接するブレード部42によって囲まれる空間に、インペラ側流路55が形成されている。このインペラ側流路55は、各インペラ40において、ケーシング20の一端部20a側を向く端部55aが、静止部品側流路50の戻り流路部53の端部に対向し、反対側の端部55bは、外周側を向き、静止部品側流路50のディフューザ部51に対向するよう形成されている。
 このような遠心圧縮機10においては、吸込口23から静止部品側流路50に導入されたプロセスガスGは、回転軸30とともに中心軸O回りに回転するインペラ40のそれぞれにおいて、ブレード部42の径方向内側に近接する端部55aからインペラ側流路55に流入する。インペラ側流路55に流入したプロセスガスGは、ブレード部42の径方向外側に近接する端部55bから外周側に向かって流出する。そして、プロセスガスGが、インペラ側流路55内を径方向外側に向かって流通することで、プロセスガスGは圧縮される。
 各段のインペラ40から流出したプロセスガスGは、静止部品側流路50のディフューザ部51を通して外周側に流れ、リターンベンド部52において流れ方向を折り返し、戻り流路部53を通して後段側のインペラ40に送り込まれる。このようにして、ケーシング20の一端部20a側から他端部20b側に向けて多段に設けられたインペラ40のインペラ側流路55と静止部品側流路50を経ることで、プロセスガスGが多段に圧縮され、排出口24から送り出される。
 上記の遠心圧縮機10には、ケーシング20における静止部品側流路50に臨む位置に、センサ60が設けられている。センサ60は、静止部品側流路50の内周面に付着した固形物SB(図2参照)の厚さを検出するため、静止部品側流路50の幅(プロセスガスGの流通方向に交差する方向の幅)を計測する。このようなセンサ60は非接触センサであって、赤外線やレーザ光を計測光Bとして発するものが好適である。
 センサ60は、静止部品側流路50の一方の側(中心軸Oの方向の吸込口23側)に設置される。このセンサ60は、静止部品側流路50の他方の内周面50fに直交する方向から、赤外光やレーザ光からなる計測光Bを照射し、反射光を受光する。このようにして、センサ60は、静止部品側流路50の流路幅を検出する。すなわち、センサ60では、静止部品側流路50の内周面50fに固形物SBが付着していなければ、センサ60から内周面50fまでの距離を流路幅として計測する。また、センサ60では、静止部品側流路50の内周面50fに固形物SBが付着していれば、その固形物SBの表面までの距離を流路幅として計測する。
 このようなセンサ60は、回転軸30と一体に回転しない遠心圧縮機10の静止部に設けられている。センサ60は、例えば、各段のインペラ40の外周側に位置するディフューザ部51に臨む位置に設けられている。
 また、センサ60は、固形物SBが付着しやすい位置に対し、静止部品側流路50を挟んで対向する位置に設けるのが好ましい。
 また、センサ60は、計測光Bの照射による計測結果を、無線あるいは有線で、遠心圧縮機10の外部に設けられた計測装置本体80に送信する。センサ60を有線で計測装置本体80に接続する場合、センサ60に接続される信号線が遠心圧縮機10のケーシング20を貫通する部分において、シール性を保つようにシール部材を設ける必要がある。これに対し、センサ60を無線で計測装置本体80に接続する場合には、そのような構成は不要である。
 次に、図3を参照して、遠心圧縮機10の検査方法について説明する。
 上記のセンサ60を備えた遠心圧縮機10においては、遠心圧縮機10の設置前、あるいは設置直後等に、静止部品側流路50の内周面50fに固形物SBが付着していない状態で、静止部品側流路50の流路幅を計測しておく(ステップS1)。
 次に、遠心圧縮機10の運転開始後、適宜タイミングで、センサ60によって静止部品側流路50の流路幅の計測を行う(ステップS2)。センサ60による流路幅の計測は、予め定めた間隔で定期的に行ってもよいし、遠心圧縮機10の運転中に微少時間間隔ごとに常時行ってもよい。
 そして、センサ60で計測した流路幅が、予め定めた下限閾値未満となったか否かを判断する(ステップS3)。流路幅が、予め定めた下限閾値未満となった場合、静止部品側流路50の内周面50fに、予め基準値以上の厚さの固形物SBが付着している。したがって、センサ60で計測した流路幅が、予め定めた下限閾値未満となった場合、静止部品側流路50の内周面50fに固形物SBが付着していると判断し、固形物SBの除去処理を行う(ステップS4)。
 固形物SBの除去処理では、洗浄液として洗浄用オイル等を噴射するオイルインジェクション装置(不図示)を用い、洗浄液を静止部品側流路50の内周面50fに噴射する等の手法が例示される。
 ここで、センサ60で計測した流路幅が、予め定めた下限閾値未満となった場合、計測装置本体80で、音やランプの点滅、メッセージの表示等によって、固形物SBの除去処理が必要であることを示すアラーム信号を外部に出力してもよい。
 上述した実施形態の遠心圧縮機10の検査方法、及び遠心圧縮機10によれば、遠心圧縮機10のケーシング20内に形成された静止部品側流路50の流路幅を検出するセンサ60を備えるようにした。これにより、遠心圧縮機10を分解することなく、静止部品側流路50への固形物SBの付着・堆積状況を確認することができ、メンテナンスの手間及びコストを抑えることが可能となる。
 また、このようなセンサ60では、遠心圧縮機10を運転した状態でも静止部品側流路50の流路幅を検出することができる。したがって、遠心圧縮機10の稼働率を向上させることができる。
 また、センサ60における静止部品側流路50の流路幅の検出結果に基づき、静止部品側流路50内から固形物SBを除去すべきと判断される場合に、オイルインジェクション装置で、静止部品側流路50内に洗浄液を噴射して固形物SBを除去するようにした。これにより、適切なタイミングで洗浄液を噴射して固形物SBの除去を行うことができる。この結果、洗浄液を噴射量を最小限に抑えることが可能となる。
 ここで、本実施形態では、静止部品側流路50の他方の側(中心軸Oの方向の排出口24側にセンサ60が設置されてもよい。
〔第二実施形態〕
 次に、この発明にかかる遠心圧縮機10の検査方法、遠心圧縮機10の第二実施形態について説明する。
 この第二実施形態で示す遠心圧縮機10は、第一実施形態に示したセンサ60に加え、オイルインジェクション装置(インジェクション装置)70、及び、制御部80aと判定部80bとを有する計測装置本体80を備えた点が異なるのみである。したがって、第二実施形態の説明においては、第一実施形態と同一部分に同一符号を付して説明するとともに重複説明を省略する。
 図4に示すように、本実施形態における遠心圧縮機10では、上記第一実施形態と同様、静止部品側流路50に臨む位置、例えば、各段のインペラ40の外周側に位置するディフューザ部51に臨む位置に、静止部品側流路50の流路幅を検出するセンサ60が設けられている。
 さらに、センサ60は、計測光Bの照射による計測結果を、無線あるいは有線で、遠心圧縮機10の外部に設けられた計測装置本体80に送信する。
 遠心圧縮機10は、ケーシング20の外部から静止部品側流路50内に、洗浄用オイル等の洗浄液を噴射するオイルインジェクション装置70を備えている。オイルインジェクション装置70は、洗浄液を噴射するノズル71を有し、ノズル71の先端部が例えば静止部品側流路50のリターンベンド部52の外周側に位置するように設置されている。
 このようなセンサ60、及びオイルインジェクション装置70を備えた遠心圧縮機10においては、遠心圧縮機10の設置前、あるいは設置直後等に、静止部品側流路50の内周面50fに固形物SBが付着していない状態で、静止部品側流路50の流路幅を計測し、計測装置本体80に記憶させておく。
 図5に示すように、遠心圧縮機10の運転開始後、適宜タイミングで、センサ60によって静止部品側流路50の流路幅の計測を行う(ステップS11)。センサ60による流路幅の計測は、予め定めた間隔で定期的に行ってもよいし、遠心圧縮機10の運転中は、センサ60で流路幅の計測を常時行ってもよい。
 計測装置本体80は、センサ60で計測した流路幅が、予め定めた下限閾値未満となったか否かを判断する(ステップS12)。計測した流路幅が下限閾値を下回らない限り、ステップS11の流路幅の計測を繰り返す。
 計測した流路幅が下限閾値未満となった場合、静止部品側流路50の内周面50fに予め定めた基準値以上の厚さの固形物SBが付着していると判断されるので、固形物SBの除去処理を行う(ステップS13)。固形物SBの除去処理は、オイルインジェクション装置70のノズル71から、洗浄液として洗浄用オイル等を静止部品側流路50内に噴射する。
 計測装置本体80は、固形物SBの除去処理中も、センサ60による流路幅の計測を行い、計測された流路幅が予め定めた上限閾値以上となったか否かを判断する(ステップS14)。
 計測された流路幅が上限閾値以上とならない限り、静止部品側流路50の内周面50fに固形物SBが依然として付着していると判断されるので、固形物SBの除去処理を継続する。
 計測した流路幅が上限閾値以上となった場合、ノズル71からの洗浄液の噴射を停止し、静止部品側流路50の内周面50fに付着した固形物SBの除去処理を終える(ステップS15)。
 この後は、遠心圧縮機10の運転が終了するまで、上記一連の処理を実行し続ける(ステップS16。)
 上述した実施形態の遠心圧縮機10の検査方法、及び遠心圧縮機10によれば、静止部品側流路50の流路幅を検出するセンサ60を備えるとともに、静止部品側流路50内に付着した固形物SBを除去する洗浄液を噴射するノズル71を備えたオイルインジェクション装置70と、センサ60で計測した静止部品側流路50の幅に応じて、オイルインジェクション装置70の動作を制御する計測装置本体80と、を備えるようにした。
 これにより、遠心圧縮機10を分解することなく、静止部品側流路50への固形物SBの付着・堆積状況を確認し、固形物SBの付着が多い場合には、オイルインジェクション装置70を作動させて固形物SBの除去処理を自動的に行うことができる。これにより、メンテナンスの手間及びコストを抑えることが可能となる。
 また、このようなセンサ60では、遠心圧縮機10を運転した状態でも静止部品側流路50の流路幅を検出することができる。したがって、遠心圧縮機10の稼働率を向上させることができる。
 さらに、固形物SBの除去処理中、流路幅が上限閾値以上となった場合に、固形物SBの除去を終えるようにしたので、洗浄液の使用量を抑え、固形物SBの除去処理を効率よく行うことができる。
〔その他の実施形態〕
 なお、本発明は、上述した実施形態に限定されるものではなく、本発明の趣旨を逸脱しない範囲において、設計変更可能である。
 例えば、センサ60の設置位置は、ディフューザ部51に限るものではない。例えば、図6に示すように、リターンベンド部52の径方向内側にセンサ60を設けてもよい。このようにすると、リターンベンド部52の外周側に堆積しやすい固形物SBの付着量を、センサ60で計測することができる。
 また、例えば、図7に示すように、センサ60は、戻り流路部53に設けてもよい。図7の例では、戻り流路部53における中心軸Oの方向の吸込口23側にセンサ60が設けられているが、戻り流路部53における中心軸Oの方向の排出口24側にセンサ60が設けられていてもよい。
 さらには、センサ60は、回転軸30に対して外周側に位置する静止部品側流路50において、回転軸30回りの周方向のいかなる位置に設けてもよい。また、周方向に間隔をあけて複数のセンサ60を備えるようにしてもよい。即ち、静止部品であればいずれの位置にセンサ60を設けてもよい。
 さらに、遠心圧縮機10の構成も、上記実施形態では概略構成を説明したに過ぎず、適宜変更することが可能である。
 回転機械の流路に臨む位置に設けた非接触センサにより、流路の幅を計測することで、流路への固形物の付着・堆積状況を容易に確認して、メンテナンスの手間及びコストを抑えるとともに、圧縮率の稼働率を向上させることができる。

Claims (5)

  1.  流体が流れる流路を有した回転機械の検査方法であって、
     前記回転機械の静止部品において前記流路に臨む位置に設けた非接触センサにより、前記流路の幅を計測する工程と、
     計測した前記流路の幅が予め定めた下限閾値未満であるか否かを判定する工程と、
     を含む回転機械の検査方法。
  2.  計測した前記流路の幅が予め定めた下限閾値未満であるときに、前記流路内に洗浄液を噴射して前記流路内に付着した固形物を除去する工程、をさらに含む請求項1に記載の回転機械の検査方法。
  3.  前記固形物を除去する工程を行っている間に、前記非接触センサにより前記流路の幅を計測し、
     計測した前記流路の幅が予め定めた上限閾値以上となった場合に、前記固形物を除去する工程を終了する、請求項2に記載の回転機械の検査方法。
  4.  流体が流れる流路が形成されたケーシングと、
     前記ケーシングの静止部品における前記流路に臨む位置に設けられ、前記流路の幅を計測する非接触センサと、
    を備える回転機械。
  5.  前記流路内に付着した固形物を除去する洗浄液を噴射するノズルを備えたインジェクション装置と、
     前記非接触センサで計測した前記流路の幅に応じて、前記インジェクション装置の動作を制御する制御部と、
    をさらに備える請求項4に記載の回転機械。
