 上記実施例1および比較例1で得られた各デオドラント組成物について以下の通り、殺菌剤の残存性を評価した。
(殺菌剤(塩化ベンザルコニウム及びイソプロピルメチルフェノール)の残存率の評価)
 JIS L0848:2004に準じて、人口汗を調製した。具体的には、L-ヒスチジン塩酸塩一水和物0.5g、塩化ナトリウム5g、りん酸ニ水素ナトリウム二水和物2.2gを水に溶かし、次に0.1mol/L水酸化ナトリウム15mLと全量が1Lとなるように水とを加えて、酸性人口汗を調製した。得られた酸性人口汗のpHは5.5であった。
 得られたデオドラント組成物20μLをケラチン布に塗布した。上記酸性人口汗20mLを100mLビーカーに入れた後に、塗布後のケラチン布をビーカーに入れ、100rpmで10分間振とうし、振とう後のケラチン布を得た。
 15mL遠沈管にメタノール10mLを入れた後、振とう後のケラチン布を遠沈管に入れ、150rpmで10分間振とうした。その後、遠沈管内の液を0.45μmのメンブランフィルターでろ過した。
 その後、ろ過後の液中の殺菌剤の量(Y)を、HPLCで評価した。また、得られたデオドラント組成物20μLをケラチン布に塗布した評価サンプルを別途用意し、酸性人口汗中での振とうを行わずに同様の処理をしたときのろ過後の液中の殺菌剤の量(X)を評価した。殺菌剤の量(X)を基準として、殺菌剤の残存率((Y)/(X)×100%)を求めた。なお、塩化ベンザルコニウムとイソプロピルメチルフェノールのそれぞれについて独立に残存率の算出を行った。
