Abstract
Description
このため、LEDを発光素子として使用した、天井又は壁取付用の照明装置が多数提案されている。例えば、以下の特許文献1には、発光素子を備える発光ユニットを天井等に取り付けられた器具本体に取り付けて、発光ユニットに対して電力を供給することにより、発光ユニットを発光させる照明装置が開示されている。また、例えば以下の特許文献2には、板金製の器具本体に板金製の反射笠を止め金具にて取り付ける照明装置が開示されている。
器具本体には、天井や壁面等の被取付面と接続するための取付ネジ用孔部や、発光ユニットと接続される電力供給用ケーブル及び電源部を収容するための空間が必要であり、取付部材の取付位置は制限される。このため、取付部材の取付位置を調整して発光ユニットのたわみを抑制することは困難である。
発光ユニットの中央部がたわんだ場合、器具本体と発光ユニットとの境界部分に隙間が生じて照明装置の外観が不良となる場合があった。
本発明は、このような事情に鑑みてなされたものであって、発光ユニットがたわんだ場合でも外観が良好な照明装置、照明装置用器具本体及び発光ユニットの提供を目的とする。

発光ユニット20は、例えばLED等の発光素子21と発光素子21を覆う透光性カバー22とを備える。
器具本体10は、発光ユニット20の透光性カバー22が入り込むように発光ユニット20が取り付けられる開口が設けられた発光ユニット取付凹部111を備える。つまり、発光ユニット20は、透光性カバー22の一部が発光ユニット取付凹部111に入り込んだ状態で、器具本体10に取付けられる。なお、透光性カバー22の発光ユニット取付凹部111に入り込む一部は、透光性カバー22の被取付面側に位置する部分である。
器具本体10の発光ユニット取付凹部111は、発光ユニット取付凹部111の底面から開口端縁に向かって広がっている。換言すると、発光ユニット取付凹部111を構成する一対の内壁は、底面から当該底面と直交する方向に離れるに従って間隔が広くなるように、外広がりに傾斜している。発光ユニット20は、発光ユニット取付凹部111を構成する内壁に接触している。なお、発光ユニット取付凹部111の底面は、器具本体10が天井に取り付けられた状態においては、器具本体10の上側(天井と対向する側)に位置している。
以下、器具本体10の構成を説明する。
図6(A)及び図6(B)は、器具本体10の外観を示す斜視図であり、図6(A)は、器具本体10の上方向からの外観を示す斜視図であり、図6(B)は、器具本体10の下方向からの外観を示す斜視図である。
図7(A)及び図7(B)は、器具本体10に設けられる、発光ユニット20の位置を所定位置に規制する位置規制部材を示す図である。
図6(A)及び図6(B)に示すように、器具本体10は、取付部材11と、側板12(12a及び12b)と、バネ部13(13a及び13b)と、端子台14と、を備える。なお、取付部材11には、吊りボルト用孔部15と電力供給ケーブル用孔部16とが形成されている。
取付部材11は、発光ユニット取付凹部111の底面に対応する底板部114と、発光ユニット取付凹部111を挟んで形成され、底板部114の長手方向に長く延びる側縁部112と、を備える。底板部114と側縁部112とにより、取付部材11の長手方向の断面において凹部が形成される。
取付部材11は、例えば金属板を利用して形成される。つまり、金属板を曲げ加工することにより、発光素子21と発光素子21を覆う透光性カバー22とを含む発光ユニット20の透光性カバー22が入り込むように開口が設けられた発光ユニット取付凹部111の大部分が形成される。なお、取付部材11は、金属板以外に、例えば樹脂材料を利用して、射出成形したり、プレス成形したりして形成してもよい。発光ユニット取付凹部111は発光ユニット取付凹部111の開口端縁に向かって広がっている。
ここでの突形状は、例えば、底板部114の短手方向の各端から外広がり状に延伸し、その後底板部114の外側へと折り返されたL字状を有している。なお、底板部114の短手方向の各端から延伸した部分が上述した発光ユニット取付凹部111を構成する内壁に相当し、L字状を構成する折り返された部分を折り返し部という。また、底板部114の長手方向と直交する断面において、L字状の折り返し部が突形状の先端となっている。
底板部114は、天井や壁等の被取付面と対向しており、照明装置1を被取付面に取り付けるための吊りボルト用孔部15や、電力供給ケーブルを照明装置1内に引き込むための電力供給ケーブル用孔部16等を備えている。
つまり、発光ユニット取付凹部111は、底板部114、第1側縁部112a及び第2側縁部112b、並びに第1側板12a及び第2側板12bで囲まれる空間を示す。
また、「開口」は、第1側縁部112a及び第2側縁部112bの折り返し部分(突形状の先端部分)、並びに第1側板12a及び第2側板12bの被取付面と反対側の端縁部分で囲まれる領域を示す。
位置規制部材113は、発光ユニット20が器具本体10に取り付けられた際に発光ユニット20と接触する。これにより、発光ユニット20は、発光ユニット取付凹部111内の所定の位置に位置決めされる。
また、位置規制部材113は、側縁部112と一体に形成されるように取付部材11の金属板を曲げ加工することで、形成されてもよい。具体的には、発光ユニット取付凹部111を構成する内壁の一部に切込みを形成し、その切込みが発光ユニット取付凹部111内に突出するように金属板を折曲げることにより、例えば断面コ字状又は断面U字状の突出部である位置規制部材113を形成することができる。
このとき、位置規制部材113は、側板12に突出する状態で設けられる。具体的には、器具本体10に発光ユニット20を取り付けた際に発光ユニット20と対向する対向領域(図7(B)において点線で示す領域)において、側板12の一部を発光ユニット取付凹部111に向かって折り曲げることにより、位置規制部材113が形成される。
具体的には、第1バネ部13aは発光ユニット20の第1バネ受部27aと係合し、第2バネ部13bは発光ユニット20の第2バネ受部27bと係合する。すなわち、第1バネ受部27a及び第2バネ受部27b並びに第1バネ部13a及び第2バネ部13bは、器具本体10(取付部材11)に発光ユニット20を取り付けた状態を維持する取付状態維持部として機能する。
吊りボルト用孔部15は、図4(A)及び図4(B)に示す吊りボルト30により天井又は壁等の被取付面に器具本体10を取り付けるために、吊りボルト30を挿通させるために設けられた孔部である。
電力供給ケーブル用孔部16は、天井又は壁等の被取付面から導出された電力供給ケーブル40を器具本体10の発光ユニット取付凹部111内に引き込むために設けられた孔部である。
以下、発光ユニット20の構成を説明する。

なお、図4(A)及び図4(B)において、基板固定部材25aを固定するネジ26にのみ参照符号を付し、基板固定部材25bから基板固定部材25nを固定するネジについては参照符号を省略している。
透光性カバー22は、発光素子21を覆い、発光ユニット20を器具本体10に取り付けた際に器具本体10に入り込む形状を有する。ここで、透光性カバー22は、長尺状をし、長手方向の端部を除いて、透光性カバー22の長手方向と直交する断面の形状が、図9に示すようにU字形状をしている。また、透光性カバー22は、発光素子21から放射された光を拡散する機能を有している。
図4(A)及び図4(B)に示すように、透光性カバー22は、発光素子21を覆う主カバー22aと、第1エンドカバー22b及び第2エンドカバー22cとを備える。第1エンドカバー22bは、主カバー22aの一端を覆うように取り付けられる。第2エンドカバー22cも同様に、主カバー22aの他端を覆うように取り付けられる。
つまり、主カバー22aは、主カバー22aの長手方向と直交する断面において、取付部材11の底板部114に近い側の端部に、入り込み部222を有する。なお、入り込み部222の入り込み量は、発光ユニット20を器具本体10に装着した際の発光ユニット20のたわみ量より大きい。
透光性カバー22の一部である入り込み部222が器具本体10の発光ユニット取付凹部111に入り込むことにより、発光ユニット20がたわんだ場合であっても照明装置の外観不良が生じにくくなる。これは、発光ユニット20がたわんだ場合に発光ユニット取付凹部111に入り込んでいた透光性カバー22の入り込み部222が露出するのみであり、器具本体10と発光ユニット20との間に隙間が生じなくなるためである。
また、主カバー22aは、主カバー22aの長手方向と直交する断面において、開口側端部から離れた部位に、内方へと突出する突出片を有している。端部と突出片の距離は、図14に示すように、後述の発光素子支持部材24の折り返し部の長さに対応している。これにより、主カバー22aの端部の折り曲げ部と突出片との間の部位(嵌合部)が、発光素子支持部材24の折り返し部に嵌合して、透光性カバー22が発光素子支持部材24に取り付けられる。透光性カバー22が発光素子支持部材24に取り付けられた状態では、発光素子支持部材24の折り返し部と透光性カバー22の内面とが接触している。
発光ユニット20は、内狭まり状の入り込み部222が器具本体10の発光ユニット取付凹部111の外拡がり状の内壁に接触した状態で、器具本体10に取り付けられる。このとき、入り込み部222の一部のみが発光ユニット取付凹部111に接触していればよいが、入り込み部222の全面が発光ユニット取付凹部111に接触していてもよい。
図4(A)及び図4(B)に示すように、発光素子支持部材24は、発光素子基板23を支持する基板支持領域24aを備える下面と、電源部28を固定する上面24bとを有している。基板支持領域24aは、発光素子基板23の幅よりも広く形成されている。
また、発光素子基板23が透光性カバー22により覆われるとともに、配線28dが貫通孔24cを通過する。このため、配線28dが外部に露出しなくなり、安全性が向上し、配線の二重被覆が不要となる。
このため、発光素子基板23は、発光素子支持部材24に対して浮きがないように固定される。
すなわち、バネ部13(第1バネ部13a及び第2バネ部13b)とバネ受部27(第1バネ受部27a及び第2バネ受部27b)は、取付部材11に発光ユニット20を取り付けた状態を維持する取付状態維持部として機能する。
バネ部13は、発光ユニット20を器具本体10に取り付けた際に、透光性カバー22の入り込み部222が器具本体10の発光ユニット取付凹部111を構成する内壁を押圧する方向の負荷を発生させるバネ機能を有する。これにより、器具本体10と発光ユニット20とが確実に接触し、発光素子21の発光中に発生する熱を器具本体10側に伝導させることができる。
なお、取付状態維持部は、発光ユニット20が器具本体10に取り付けた状態が維持されれば、本実施形態で説明するバネ部13及びバネ受部27と異なる形状であってもよい。
図13に示すように、電源部28は、電源回路を備える電源基板28aと、ヒートシンク28bと、電源基板28a及びヒートシンク28bを内部に収容する電源ボックス28cと、発光素子21に対して電力を供給するための配線28d(配線28dは図13に図示せず)とを有している。
ヒートシンク28bは、アルミニウム又は銅等の材料からなる。図13に示すように、ヒートシンク28bは、板状部材を複数回折り曲げた多角筒形状(ここでは、四角筒に近い形状)とされているが、ヒートシンク28bの形状はこれに限らない。なお、電源基板28aとの接触面積が大きくなるような形状の方が放熱性の観点から好ましい。
電源ボックス28cは、プラスチック、アルミニウム又はステンレス等の材料からなり、その外観形状は一方向に長く延びた箱型形状である。配線28dは、発光素子支持部材24の基板支持領域24aに設けられた貫通孔24cを通って発光素子基板23に接続される。
電源部28は、被取付面の法線方向に見て、電力供給ケーブル40と重なっている。すなわち、電力供給ケーブル40は、図9に示すように、電源部28の上面と器具本体10との間に確保された空間に配線される。このため、電力供給ケーブル40によって発光ユニット20の取付けが阻害されることがなくなる。
反射部材29は、透光性カバー22内の発光素子基板23の発光素子21の実装面側に設けられる。そして、反射部材29は、発光素子基板23から離れるように傾斜して配置されている。具体的には、反射部材29は、例えば図14に示すように、発光素子21を露出させかつ発光素子基板23を被覆する第1反射部29aを備えている。
また、反射部材29は、第1反射部29aの幅方向の一端部から幅方向に離れるに従って被取付面から離れるように傾斜して配置される第2反射部29bと、第1反射部29aの幅方向の他端部から幅方向に離れるに従って被取付面から離れるように傾斜して配置される第3反射部29cとを有している。
反射部材29は、シート状であり、発光素子21に対向する部分に開口を有し、発光素子支持部材24の一対の傾斜部と発光素子基板23に跨って配されている。
第1反射部29aには、例えば発光素子21を露出させるための前記開口が形成されており、これにより、発光素子21から放射された光が第1反射部29a、第2反射部29b及び第3反射部29cの全面で反射され、効率的に照明装置1の発光に利用される。
以上説明した本発明の一実施形態に係る照明装置によれば、以下の効果を得ることができる。
(1)発光ユニットがたわんだ場合であっても、発光ユニット取付凹部に入り込んでいた発光ユニットの透光性カバーの一部が露出するのみであるため、照明装置の外観不良が生じない。
(2)発光ユニット取付凹部の空間を広くすることができるため、発光ユニット取付け作業の作業性を向上し、また、発光ユニットの電源部や電力供給用ケーブル等の収容性が向上する。
(3)照明装置の外観を良好に保つことができるとともに、発光ユニットが発光ユニット取付凹部を構成する内壁の少なくとも一部の領域と接触することにより、発光ユニットの取付位置の位置決めがなされる。
(4)電力供給ケーブルが収容される空間が発光ユニット取付凹部底面と発光ユニットとの間に確保され、電力供給ケーブルによって発光ユニットの取付けが阻害されることがなくなる。
(5)取付状態維持部によって発光ユニットが器具本体に引きつけられ、器具本体から発光ユニットが外れることを抑制することができる。
(6)発光ユニット内の配線を短くすることができるため、発光ユニットの組み立て性が向上する。また、配線が外部に露出しないため、安全性が向上し、配線の二重被覆が不要となる。
本発明の範囲は、図示され記載された例示的な実施形態に限定されるものではなく、本発明が目的とするものと均等な効果をもたらす全ての実施形態をも含む。さらに、本発明の範囲は、請求項により画される発明の特徴の組み合わせに限定されるものではなく、全ての開示されたそれぞれの特徴のうち特定の特徴のあらゆる所望する組み合わせによって画されうる。

- 発光素子と前記発光素子を覆う透光性カバーとを含む長尺状の発光ユニットと、
前記発光ユニットが取付けられる器具本体と、
を備え、
前記発光ユニットの長手方向と直交する前記透光性カバーの断面の形状は、U字形状であり、
前記器具本体は、少なくとも前記透光性カバーの前記U字形状を構成する開口側端部が入り込む発光ユニット取付凹部を備える
照明装置。 - 前記発光ユニット取付凹部は、前記発光ユニット取付凹部の底面から開口端縁に向かって広がっている
請求項1に記載の照明装置。 - 前記透光性カバーの前記発光ユニット取付凹部に入り込んでいる部分は、前記発光ユニット取付凹部を構成する内壁に接触している
