Definitions
- the present invention relates to a keyless entry device that performs predetermined control such as locking / unlocking of a door of a vehicle by performing mutual communication between the vehicle-side device and the portable device.
- a smart keyless entry device that performs wireless communication between a vehicle-side device provided in a vehicle and a portable device carried by a user, and locks and unlocks a vehicle door based on this communication has been proposed.
- the vehicle-side device has a plurality of transmission antennas provided at various locations in the vehicle, and periodically sends an activation signal to the portable device to activate the portable device from the sleep state.
- the vehicle-side device transmits a measurement signal from each transmission antenna after a predetermined time has elapsed after transmitting the activation signal.
- the activated portable device calculates the distance to the vehicle side device based on the reception intensity of the measurement signal transmitted from the vehicle side device, transmits distance data to the vehicle side device, and receives the next activation signal.
- the sleep mode is entered again. As a result, the distance between the vehicle and the portable device is calculated at a predetermined time period, and locking / unlocking of the door of the vehicle is controlled according to the calculation result.
- the portable device when the user is carrying a smartphone or other information device, the portable device has an information device other than the start signal and measurement signal transmitted from the vehicle side device. Radio waves that are generated may also be received. For this reason, since the activation signal transmitted from the vehicle side device is buried in other noise signals and cannot be discriminated, the portable device cannot be activated.
- the activation signal since the activation signal has a complicated signal waveform including information as compared with a measurement signal having a simple waveform, it is easily affected by a noise signal.
- the start signal is buried in the noise signal, the signal is not returned from the portable device to the vehicle side device. Therefore, regardless of the actual position of the portable device, the vehicle side device is located at a position where the portable device is separated from the vehicle. There is a problem that the user locks the door while the user stays near the vehicle, or that the user is approaching and cannot be unlocked.
- the present invention can reliably measure the distance between the vehicle and the portable device every predetermined time even when the user carries the information device, and can reduce erroneous control due to a defective starting of the portable device.
