Abstract
Description
このテープカートリッジは、印刷テープをテープコアに巻回したテープ体と、インクリボンをリボン繰出しコアに巻回したリボン体と、使用後のインクリボンを巻き取るリボン巻取りコアと、印刷テープをテープ体から繰り出して送るプラテンローラーと、テープ体、リボン体、リボン巻取りコアおよびプラテンローラーを収容したカートリッジケースと、を備えている。
一方、テープ印刷装置は、テープカートリッジが着脱自在に装着されるカートリッジ装着部を有している。また、カートリッジ装着部には、底板上に、テープコアを位置決めする位置決め突起と、ヘッドカバーに覆われた印刷ヘッドと、プラテンローラーを回転させるプラテン駆動軸と、リボン巻取りコアを介してインクリボンを巻き取るリボン巻取り駆動軸と、が設けられている。また、カートリッジ装着部の下側空間には、プラテン駆動軸およびリボン巻取り駆動軸を回転させるモーター駆動のテープ送り機構が内蔵されている。
この場合、プラテンローラーは、平面視時計回りに回転し、リボン巻取りコアは、平面視反時計回りに回転する。このため、テープカートリッジには、プラテンローラー側の回転モーメントと、リボン巻取りコア側の回転モーメントとが合成した力が作用する。この合成力は、プラテンローラーとリボン巻取りコアとを結ぶ仮想線上においては、各々の回転力が互いに打ち消しあうベクトル成分がないため、この仮想線上では仮想線に交差する方向で重なり合い、最も大きな力として作用する。このため、テープ印刷装置が印刷駆動すると、カートリッジ装着部内でテープカートリッジが位置ズレするおそれがあった。そして、テープカートリッジの位置ズレは、印刷ヘッドに対する位置ズレとなり、印刷品質に悪影響を与える。
この構成によれば、印刷ヘッド部の背面側に位置する第3カバー側壁のガイド凸部により、テープカートリッジが位置決めされるため、印刷ヘッド部の押圧力は、テープカートリッジを介してガイド凸部に受けられる。すなわち、印刷ヘッド部の押圧力は、これを覆うヘッドカバーに吸収されるため、この押圧力によりテープカートリッジが位置ズレすることはない。したがって、印刷品質を安定させることができる。
この構成によれば、第2凸部および第4凸部により、テープカートリッジが位置決めされるため、プラテンローラー廻りの回転力は、テープカートリッジを介して、離間して設けられた第2凸部および第4凸部に受けられる。すなわち、プラテンローラー廻りの回転力は、ヘッドカバーで抑えられるため、この回転力によるテープカートリッジの位置ズレが抑制される。したがって、印刷品質を安定させることができる。
図1は、テープ印刷システムを構成するテープ印刷装置およびこれに装着されるテープカートリッジの外観斜視図である。同図に示すように、テープ印刷装置1は、外殻を構成する装置ケース3と、テープカートリッジ100が着脱自在に装着されるカートリッジ装着部5と、カートリッジ装着部5を開閉する開閉蓋7と、を備えている。装置ケース3の上面には、奥側にカートリッジ装着部5が設けられ、中央にディスプレイ11が設けられ、手前側にキーボード13が設けられている。開閉蓋7の近傍には、指掛け用の窪入部15が設けられている。開閉蓋7は、この窪入部15に指を掛け引き上げることで開放される。そして、装置ケース3の側面(左側面)には、印刷テープ102が排出される縦長のテープ排出口17が設けられている。
図2および図5に示すように、テープカートリッジ100は、印刷テープ102をテープコア104に巻回したテープロール106と、インクリボン110を繰出しコア112に巻回したリボンロール114と、を備えている。また、テープカートリッジ100は、使用後のインクリボン110を巻き取る巻取りコア116と、印刷ヘッド21がインクリボン110および印刷テープ102を介して当接すると共に印刷テープ102およびインクリボン110を送るプラテンローラー120(プラテン)と、を備えている。さらに、テープカートリッジ100は、これらテープロール106、リボンロール114、巻取りコア116およびプラテンローラー120を収容したカートリッジケース130を備えている。このように、本実施形態のテープカートリッジ100は、外殻をカートリッジケース130で覆われた、いわゆるシェル構造を有している。
図1および図3に示すように、カートリッジ装着部5は、テープカートリッジ100の平面形状と相補的な平面形状に形成されると共に、装着可能な複数種のテープカートリッジ100のうち、最大厚のテープカートリッジ100に対応する深さを有して、窪入形成されている。この場合、カートリッジ装着部5の底板部を構成する装着ベース31と側板部33とは、樹脂等で一体に形成(成形)されている。カートリッジ装着部5と上記のテープ排出口17との間には、スリット状のテープ排出経路35が形成されており、この部分に、上記のテープ切断機構部27が内蔵されている。
次に、図2、図5および図6を参照して、テープカートリッジ100について詳細に説明する。なお、テープカートリッジ100の説明では、図2を例に、テープカートリッジ100の上正面である装着方向手前の面を「表面」と、逆側の装着方向奥側の面を「裏面」と、左側の側面を「左側面」と、右側の側面を「右側面」と、上側(前側)の円弧状の側面を「先端面」と、下側(後側)の側面を「基端面」と、称呼するものとする。
次に、図7ないし図9を参照して、第1実施形態に係るヘッドカバー43の本体側当接部65の構造について、テープカートリッジ100のカートリッジ側当接部166の構造と共に詳細に説明する。なお、ヘッドカバー43に覆われた印刷ヘッド21およびこれを支持するヘッド支持フレーム61により、請求項にいう印刷ヘッド部が構成されている。
次に、図10を参照して、第2実施形態に係るヘッドカバー43の本体側当接部65の構造について、テープカートリッジ100のカートリッジ側当接部166の構造と共に詳細に説明する。また、第2実施形態では、主に第1実施形態と異なる部分について説明する。
次に、図11を参照して、第3実施形態に係るヘッドカバー43の本体側当接部65の構造について、テープカートリッジ100のカートリッジ側当接部166の構造と共に詳細に説明する。また、第3実施形態では、主に第1実施形態と異なる部分について説明する。
上述のように、右カバー側壁284と右開口内壁314との間には間隙が設けられ、前カバー側壁286と前開口内壁316との間にも間隙が設けられている。このため、これらの角部270と、これらの隅部300と間にも間隙が生じている。
次に、図12ないし図14を参照して、第4実施形態に係るヘッドカバー43の本体側当接部65廻りの構造について説明する。この実施形態は、上記の第1ないし第3実施形態のヘッドカバー43廻りの構造に、テープカートリッジ100の装着を案内する構造を付加したものである。以下、この案内構造を第1実施形態のヘッドカバー43に付加した形態について説明する。
次に、図15を参照して、第5実施形態に係るヘッドカバー43の本体側当接部65廻りの構造について説明する。なお、この第5実施形態では、主に第4実施形態と異なる部分について説明する。
Claims (12)
- テープカートリッジが装着されるカートリッジ装着部と、
前記カートリッジ装着部に設けられ、装着された前記テープカートリッジの印刷テープを送るための正回転動力を出力する第1出力部と、
前記カートリッジ装着部に設けられ、装着された前記テープカートリッジのインクリボンを巻き取るための逆回転動力を出力する第2出力部と、
前記カートリッジ装着部に設けられ、前記第1出力部および前記第2出力部によって前記テープカートリッジに生ずる回転力に抗するように、装着された前記テープカートリッジに当接する本体側当接部と、を備えたことを特徴とするテープ印刷装置。 - 前記本体側当接部は、前記第1出力部と前記第2出力部とを結ぶ仮想線上または仮想線の近傍に配設されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のテープ印刷装置。
- 前記第1出力部は、前記印刷テープを送る前記テープカートリッジのプラテンローラーを回転駆動するプラテン駆動軸を有し、
前記第2出力部は、前記インクリボンを巻き取る前記テープカートリッジの巻取りコアを回転駆動する巻取り駆動軸を有していることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のテープ印刷装置。 - 前記カートリッジ装着部に設けられ、前記印刷テープに印刷を行う印刷ヘッド部と、前記印刷ヘッド部を覆うヘッドカバーと、を更に備え、
前記本体側当接部は、前記ヘッドカバーの角部に凸設され、前記ヘッドカバーが挿入される前記テープカートリッジの開口周壁部の隅部に当接することを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれか一項に記載のテープ印刷装置。 - 前記印刷ヘッド部は、印刷ヘッドと、前記印刷ヘッドを印刷位置と退避位置との間で回動自在に支持する回動支軸と、を有し、
前記ヘッドカバーは、前記回動支軸側を覆うと共に相互に交会する第1カバー側壁および第2カバー側壁を有し、
前記本体側当接部は、前記第1カバー側壁と前記第2カバー側壁とが交会する角部に凸設されていることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のテープ印刷装置。 - 前記本体側当接部に対応して、前記開口周壁部の隅部には、カートリッジ側当接部が凹設され、
前記本体側当接部は、前記カートリッジ側当接部に相対的に嵌合することを特徴とする請求項5に記載のテープ印刷装置。 - 前記本体側当接部は、前記角部において、前記第1カバー側壁に凸設した第1当接凸部と、前記第2カバー側壁に凸設した第2当接凸部と、を有し、
前記第1当接凸部は、前記カートリッジ側当接部の第1当接凹部に嵌合し、
前記第2当接凸部は、前記カートリッジ側当接部の第2当接凹部に嵌合することを特徴とする請求項6に記載のテープ印刷装置。 - 前記ヘッドカバーの外周面に突設され、前記テープカートリッジに形成された被ガイド凹部を介して、前記テープカートリッジの装着を案内するガイド凸部を、更に備えたことを特徴とする請求項5ないし7のいずれか一項に記載のテープ印刷装置。
- 前記ガイド凸部には、前記被ガイド凹部が相対的に嵌合することを特徴とする請求項8に記載のテープ印刷装置。
- 前記ヘッドカバーは、前記印刷ヘッドの背面側に位置し、前記第1カバー側壁に対面する第3カバー側壁と、前記第2カバー側壁に対面する第4カバー側壁と、を更に有し、
前記第3カバー側壁は、前記印刷テープの送り方向と同方向に延在し、
前記ガイド凸部は、前記第3カバー側壁の外面に突設された第1凸部を有していることを特徴とする請求項8または9に記載のテープ印刷装置。 - 前記ガイド凸部は、前記第2カバー側壁の外面に突設された第2凸部、および前記第4カバー側壁の外面に突設された第3凸部を有していることを特徴とする請求項10に記載のテープ印刷装置。
- 請求項1ないし11のいずれか一項に記載のテープ印刷装置と、
前記カートリッジ装着部に着脱自在に装着される前記テープカートリッジと、を備えたことを特徴とするテープ印刷システム。
