- the power receiving device 21 includes a power receiving side controller 24 capable of wireless communication with the power transmitting side controller 14.
- the controllers 14 and 24 start or end power transmission through the exchange of information with each other.
- the relative position of the power transmitter 13 (primary coil 13a) and the power receiver 23 (secondary coil 23a) and the current value I1 flowing through the primary coil 13a (hereinafter also simply referred to as the first current value I1). The relationship will be described.
- the relative positions of the power transmitter 13 and the power receiver 23 vary.
- the impedance Z1 from the input end of the power transmitter 13 to the load 22 (hereinafter also simply referred to as the first impedance Z1) varies.
- the first current value I1 depends on the first impedance Z1
- the first current value I1 also varies.
- the first impedance Z1 increases as the first impedance Z1 increases.
- the first impedance Z1 may be excessively high and the first current value I1 may be excessively high.
- the power receiving device 21 of the non-contact power transmission apparatus 10 includes an impedance converter 25 (impedance conversion unit) provided between the power receiver 23 and the load 22.
- the impedance converter 25 is provided on the transmission line between the power receiver 23 and the load 22, and is provided on the power lines EL1 and EL2 in the first embodiment.
- the impedance converter 25 may be configured with an LC circuit.
- the impedance converter 25 is provided in front of the inductors 25a and 25b provided on the power lines EL1 and EL2 that connect the power receiver 23 and the load 22, and the inductors 25a and 25b. And an LC circuit having a capacitor 25c connected in parallel to 25b.
- an allowable range S that allows positional deviation between the power transmitter 13 and the power receiver 23 is determined in advance.
- the relative position between the power transmitter 13 and the power receiver 23 at which the first current value I1 is maximum is referred to as a specific relative position.
- the allowable range S is arbitrary as long as it is a predetermined range.
- the AC power supply 12 may be set as a range in which AC power having a desired power value (predetermined specific power value) can be output. Good. More specifically, the power value of the AC power output from the AC power supply 12 depends on the first impedance Z1. For this reason, when the above-mentioned relative position fluctuates excessively, the fluctuation range of the first impedance Z1 increases. As a result, the AC power supply 12 may not be able to output AC power having a desired power value according to the rating (drive capability) of the AC power supply 12.
- the allowable range S is a range in which the AC power having the desired power value described above can be output even when the relative position changes in the allowable range S and the first impedance Z1 changes. It may be set corresponding to the rating (drive capability) of the AC power supply 12.
- the specific relative position in the present embodiment is, for example, as shown in FIG. 2, in the configuration in which the power transmitter 13 and the power receiver 23 are formed in a disc shape, the power transmitter 13 and the power receiver 23 are It is conceivable that the two are opposed to each other with their center lines coincident with each other, and the distance between them is the distance at which the first current value I1 is maximum.
- That the first current value I1 is maximum means that the first impedance Z1 is maximum. If attention is paid to this point, it can be said that the specific relative position is a relative position of the power transmitter 13 and the power receiver 23 in which the first impedance Z1 is maximum within the allowable range S.
- the impedance Z2 from the output terminal of the power receiver 23 to the load 22 where the first current value I1 becomes a predetermined threshold current value is: It is called a specific impedance Zq.
- the threshold current value is set corresponding to the characteristics of the primary side coil 13a, and is, for example, a rated current value of the primary side coil 13a or a value lower by a predetermined margin than that.
- the impedance Z2 from the output end of the power receiver 23 to the load 22 is referred to as a second impedance Z2. It can be said that the second impedance Z2 is an impedance when the load 22 side is viewed from the output end of the power receiver 23. Moreover, it can be said that the first impedance Z1 is an impedance when the load 22 side is viewed from the input end of the power transmitter 13.
- the impedance converter 25 impedance-converts the impedance of the load 22 so that the second impedance Z2 is higher than the specific impedance Zq.
- the constant (impedance) of the impedance converter 25 is set so that the second impedance Z2 is higher than the specific impedance Zq.
- the constant can be said to be a conversion ratio, an inductance, or a capacitance.
- the first impedance Z1 is a case where the relative position between the power transmitter 13 and the power receiver 23 varies within the allowable range S.
- the second impedance Z2 is lower than the value when the specific impedance Zq is set. Therefore, even if the relative position of the power transmitter 13 and the power receiver 23 fluctuates within the allowable range S, the first current value I1 is equal to or less than the threshold current value. It can be said that the second impedance Z2 is the impedance of the input end of the impedance converter 25.
- the voltage value V applied to the secondary coil 23a and the current value I2 (hereinafter also referred to as the second current value I2) flowing through the secondary coil 23a depend on the second impedance Z2. Specifically, when the second impedance Z2 increases, the voltage value V and the second current value I2 applied to the secondary coil 23a increase.
- the second impedance Z2, which is the impedance converted by the impedance converter 25, is set in correspondence with the second current value I2 and the voltage value V.
- the second impedance Z2 at which the voltage value V is an allowable voltage value is the first upper limit value
- the second impedance Z2 is set to be lower than the first upper limit value.
- the allowable voltage value may be, for example, the maximum voltage value at which the secondary side coil 23a operates normally, for example, the rated voltage value of the secondary side coil 23a, or a value lower by a predetermined margin than that. .
- the second impedance Z2 at which the second current value I2 is an allowable current value is the second upper limit value
- the second impedance Z2 is set to be lower than the second upper limit value described above.
- the allowable current value may be, for example, a maximum current value at which the secondary coil 23a operates normally, for example, a rated current value of the secondary coil 23a or a value lower by a predetermined margin than that. .
- the non-contact power transmission apparatus 10 includes an impedance converter 25 that performs impedance conversion so that the second impedance Z2 is higher than the specific impedance Zq.
- the specific impedance Zq is such that the first current value I1 is equal to the threshold current value in a situation where the relative position of the power transmitter 13 (primary coil 13a) and the power receiver 23 (secondary coil 23a) is a specific relative position. Is the impedance.
- the specific relative position is a relative position where the first current value I1 is maximum within the allowable range S. That is, the specific impedance Zq is the second impedance Z2 when the maximum value of the first current value I1 when the relative position varies within the allowable range S becomes the threshold current value. Thereby, even if the above-described relative position fluctuates within the allowable range S, the first current value I1 does not become higher than the threshold current value. Therefore, it is possible to suppress the first current value I1 from becoming excessively high due to the above-described fluctuation of the relative position.
- the impedance converter 25 When the second impedance Z2 at which the voltage value V applied to the secondary coil 23a is an allowable voltage value is the first upper limit value, the impedance converter 25 has the second impedance Z2 higher than the specific impedance Zq. In addition, impedance conversion is performed so as to be lower than the first upper limit value. Thereby, it can be avoided that the voltage value V becomes higher than the allowable voltage value due to the second impedance Z2 becoming higher than the first upper limit value. Therefore, the abnormality of the secondary side coil 23a resulting from the voltage value V becoming excessively high can be avoided.
- the impedance converter 25 allows the second impedance Z2 to be a specific impedance. Impedance conversion is performed so as to be higher than Zq and lower than the second upper limit value. Thereby, it can be avoided that the second current value I2 becomes higher than the allowable current value due to the second impedance Z2 becoming higher than the second upper limit value. Therefore, the abnormality of the secondary coil 23a due to the second current value I2 becoming excessively high can be avoided.
- the impedance converter 30 of the second embodiment is configured to be able to change the constant of the impedance converter 30.
- the control units 14 and 24 variably control the impedance of the impedance conversion unit (53) based on the first current value I1 measured by the measurement unit 31.
- the control units 14 and 24 include a power transmission side controller 14 provided in the power transmission device 11 and a power reception side controller 24 provided in the power reception device 21.
- the impedance converter 30 includes inductors 30a and 30b provided on the power lines EL1 and EL2, and a variable capacitor 30c provided at a position before the inductors 30a and 30b and having a variable capacitance.
- the initial value of the constant of the impedance converter 30 is set to be the same as the constant of the impedance converter 25 of the first embodiment.
- the power transmission device 11 includes a measuring unit 31 that measures the first current value I1.
- the measurement unit 31 transmits the measurement result to the power transmission side controller 14. Thereby, the power transmission side controller 14 can specify the 1st electric current value I1.
- the power transmission side controller 14 transmits instruction information for instructing the second impedance Z2 to the power reception side controller 24 based on the first current value I1.
- the power receiving controller 24 variably controls the constant of the impedance converter 30 based on the instruction information.
- the first impedance Z1 at which the power value of the AC power output from the AC power supply 12 becomes a desired power value is referred to as a desired first impedance
- the first impedance Z1 is the desired first impedance.
- the first current value I1 in this case is referred to as a specific current value.
- the specific current value is lower than the threshold current value.
- the power transmission side controller 14 instructs the second impedance Z2 so that the first current value I1 becomes the specific current value.
- the power transmission side controller 14 determines that the second impedance Z2 is high within a range not exceeding the first upper limit value and the second upper limit value.
- the controller 24 is instructed.
- the power receiving side controller 24 variably controls the constant of the impedance converter 30 so that the second impedance Z2 becomes high.
- the second impedance Z2 is increased, the first impedance Z1 is decreased, and the first current value I1 is decreased. Therefore, the first current value I1 approaches the specific current value.
- the power transmission side controller 14 instructs the power receiving side controller 24 to lower the second impedance Z2 within a range higher than the specific impedance Zq. Instruct.
- the power receiving side controller 24 variably controls the constant of the impedance converter 30 so that the second impedance Z2 becomes low.
- the constant of the impedance converter 30 is configured to be variable.
