Abstract

 光ポンピングによる磁場計測において、信号を安定化させることを課題とする。 そのため、光源装置(10)は、レーザ出力部(11)から出力されている光の強度の変動を検出する光強度変動検出回路(130)と、光強度変動検出回路(130)が検出した光の強度の変動を基に、光の強度が一定となるよう補正する音響光学変調器(121)と、を有することを特徴とする。さらに、磁場解析装置は、光源部から出力された光を通過させる1つのセンサ部と、センサ部を通過した2つの光を基に光の強度の変動を除去する信号制御処理部と、を有することを特徴とする。

Description

光源装置及び磁場計測装置
 本発明は、光ポンピングによる磁場計測に用いられる光源装置及び磁場計測装置の技術に関する。
 光ポンピングしたアルカリ金属の磁場光学特性を利用した光ポンピング磁場計測装置は、アルカリ金属ガス(例えば、カリウム、ルビジウム、セシウム等)を封入したガラスセルをセンサとして用いる。磁場計測時において、このガラスセルに静磁場が印加され、ガラスセル内のアルカリ金属のエネルギー準位がゼーマン効果により分裂される。そして、磁場計測時において、光ポンピング磁場計測装置は、静磁場印加時のガラスセルに、偏光状態を操作した光(例えば、直線偏光、円偏光、楕円偏光等)や、光強度や位相を操作した光(強度変調光、位相変調光)を入力する。そして、光ポンピング磁場計測装置は、光が入力された結果、ガラスセル内で生じたアルカリ金属のスピンの状態を利用してガラスセルにおける磁場を検出する。
 光ポンピング磁場計測装置に関する技術として、特許文献1に記載の技術が開示されている。特許文献1に記載の技術は、ポンプ光(円偏光)でガラスセル内のアルカリ金属をスピン偏極し、当該ポンプ光と直交する向きに当該ガラスセルに入力するプローブ光(直線偏光)の偏光面の回転角で当該ガラスセルに入る磁場を検出するものである。
 また、光ポンピング磁場計測装置に関する技術として、特許文献2に記載の技術が開示されている。特許文献2に記載の技術は、ポンプ光(円偏光)でガラスセル内のアルカリ金属をスピン偏極し、当該ガラスセルにRF(Radio Frequency)磁場を印加してガラスセル内で磁気共鳴を生じさせ、当該ガラスセルに入った磁場をセル通過のポンプ光で検出するものである。
 そして、光ポンピング磁場計測装置に関する技術として、特許文献3に記載の技術が開示されている。特許文献3に記載の技術は、レーザ光でガラスセル内のアルカリ金属に電磁誘起透過現象を生じさせ、当該電磁誘起透過現象を発生するための光源の駆動周波数でガラスセルに入った磁場を検出するものである。
 さらに、光ポンピング磁場計測装置に関する技術として、特許文献4に記載の技術が開示されている。特許文献4に記載の技術は、特許文献2に記載の技術と同様にRF磁場で生じた磁気共鳴を利用してガラスセルに入る磁場を検出し、2つのガラスセルを通過した光の差分を取ることで光源由来の雑音を除去するものである。

 特許文献1に記載の技術は、零磁場環境下のガラスセルを100℃以上に高温にすることで、ポンプ光(円偏光)でスピン偏極した当該ガラスセル内のアルカリ金属原子のスピン交換衝突による緩和を顕著に抑制し、高感度な磁場検出を行う。ここで、高感度磁場センシングを実現するにあたり、磁場検出の信号を安定させるためには、使用する光の強度(以下、光強度と称する)が安定である必要がある。
 一般に、光強度は、光源に流れる電流の変動、光源環境下の振動、光源周囲の温度変化等の様々な物理的要因で変動する。光強度の変動が生じると、その変動が磁場検出の信号に混入してしまう。そのため、高感度かつ安定な磁場検出を実現するためには、前記したように光強度が安定である必要がある。特許文献1に記載の技術は、ポンプ光用光源ならびにプローブ光用光源ともに光強度の安定動作を考慮していないため、光源の強度変動の影響で高感度かつ安定な磁場検出を実現することができない。
 また、特許文献2に記載の技術でも、特許文献1に記載の技術と同様に光強度を安定動作させることは考慮されていない。特許文献2に記載の技術は、ガラスセルに印加されるRF磁場を変調することで1/fノイズが少ない周波数帯域で動作できる。しかしながら、当該ガラスセルを通過した光には光の強度変動成分が変調周波数に重畳するため高感度かつ安定な磁場検出が妨げられてしまう。また、特許文献2に記載の技術は、ガラスセルに入力する光の周波数変動が当該ガラスセル内で光強度変動に変換されるため、ガラスセルで生じる光強度変動の影響も防ぐことができない。
 特許文献3に記載の技術でも、光源からの光強度が安定動作していないため、特許文献1に記載の技術や、特許文献2に記載の技術と同様に光強度変動が磁場検出の感度ならびに安定性に影響を及ぼしてしまう。また、特許文献3に記載の技術は、ガラスセルで生じた光強度変動も特許文献2に記載の技術と同様に残ってしまう。
 特許文献4に記載の技術は、2つのガラスセルを通過した光の信号を差分することで光源由来の光強度変動を除去している。しかしながら、ガラスセルの個体差等により各ガラスセルで生じる光強度変動は異なるため、特許文献4に記載の技術は、光強度の変動を抑制するには不十分である。つまり、特許文献4に記載の技術は、ガラスセルに由来する光強度の変動(ノイズ)が残っている状態となっている。
 このような背景に鑑みて本発明がなされたのであり、本発明は、光ポンピングによる磁場計測において、信号を安定化させることを課題とする。
 前記した課題を解決するため、本発明の一の手段は、自身が出力している光の強度の変動を基に、前記光の強度を補正することを特徴とする。
 さらに、本発明の他の手段は、光源部から出力された2つの光を通過させる1つのセンサ部を通過した2つの光を基に、前記センサ部に由来するノイズを除去することを特徴とする。
 その他の解決手段については、実施形態中で適宜説明する。
 本発明によれば、光ポンピングによる磁場計測において、信号を安定化させることができる。

 次に、本発明を実施するための形態(「実施形態」という)について、適宜図面を参照しながら詳細に説明する。ここでは、実用性(安定性や性能)を考慮し、光源としてレーザを使用した例を示しているが、ランプを光源として使用してもよい。
 なお、本実施形態における各図において、破線矢印は光(レーザ光)を示し、実線矢印は、電気信号を示すものとする。また、本実施形態で示される光源装置や、磁場計測装置は、心磁計、脳磁計、筋磁計等の生体磁場計測装置や、磁性材料の物性測定等に用いられるものである。
《第1実施形態:光源装置》
 図1は、第1実施形態に係る光源装置の概要構成例を示す図である。
 光源装置10は、レーザ出力部(光発生部)11、周波数安定化部12、強度安定化部14及び駆動部13を有している。
 レーザ出力部11は、電圧が印加されることでレーザ光L11を発生して出力する。
 周波数安定化部12は、駆動部13を制御することで、レーザ出力部11が出力するレーザ光L11の周波数を安定化させる。
 強度安定化部14は、周波数安定化部12から出力されたレーザ光L14の光強度を安定化させ、光強度が安定化しているレーザ光L17を出力する。なお、強度安定化部14は、周波数安定化部12の後段に別の構成として備えられていることが望ましい。このようにすることで、周波数安定化部12で周波数安定化を行ったレーザ光L14の光強度安定を行うことができ、周波数安定かつ光強度が安定しているレーザ光L17を出力することができる。
 図2は、第1実施形態に係る光源装置の詳細な構成例を示す図である。
 光源装置10は、レーザ出力部11としてのレーザ出力装置101と、駆動部13としての駆動回路102とを有している。
 また、光源装置10は、周波数安定化部12の構成として、ビームスプリッタ111、ハーフミラー112、参照ガラスセル113、ND(Neutral Density)フィルタ114、ミラー115、光検出器116、位相検出回路117及び積分回路118を有する。各構成の機能は後記して説明する。ここで、参照ガラスセル113にはアルカリ金属ガスが封入されている。
 さらに、光源装置10は、強度安定化部14の構成として、音響光学変調器(光強度変動補正部、音響光学変調部)121、ビームスプリッタ122、光検出器123、基準電圧回路124、差動増幅回路125、積分回路126及び駆動回路(光強度変動補正部)127とを有する。各構成の機能は後記して説明する。なお、光検出器123、基準電圧回路124、差動増幅回路125及び積分回路126は、レーザ出力部11が出力している光の強度の変動を検出する光強度変動検出回路(光強度変動検出部)130を構成している。また、音響光学変調器121は、光強度変動検出回路130が検出した光の強度の変動を基に、光の強度が一定となるよう補正するものである。また、音響光学変調器は121は、電圧が印加されることで出力される光の強度を変更可能なものである。
 レーザ光L11の発振周波数は、参照ガラスセル113に封入されているアルカリ金属の吸収線(D1線、D2線)を含み、シングルモードで発振している必要がある。また、特にレーザ光のスペクトル線幅が、参照ガラスセル113に封入されているアルカリ金属の吸収線幅以下であることが望ましい。これらの条件を満たし、コストやサイズ等の実用性をもつレーザ光として、半導体レーザの使用が適している。使用する半導体レーザとしては、レーザ素子外部に共振器長調整用の回折格子やミラー等を有する外部共振器型半導体レーザや、レーザ素子内部に共振器長調整機構を有する分布帰還型レーザが候補となる。また、分布反射型(DBR:Distributed Bragg Reflector)レーザや、垂直共振器型半導体レーザ(VCSEL:Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser)も候補となる。
 まず、駆動回路102による制御により、レーザ出力装置101でレーザ光L11が発振され、レーザ出力装置101からレーザ光L11が出力される。
(周波数安定化)
 レーザ出力装置101から出力されたレーザ光L11は、周波数安定化部12に入力し、周波数安定化が行われる。以下、周波数安定化部12の機能を説明するが、周波数安定化部12は既知の技術であるため、説明は簡単なものとする。
 ここでは、レーザ光の周波数安定化の手法として、アルカリ金属の吸収線、もしくは干渉計を周波数安定化の基準として使用する手法を用いる。
 レーザ出力装置101から出力したレーザ光L11は、ビームスプリッタ111で2つのレーザ光L12,L14に分離される。
 まず、レーザ光L12は、参照ガラスセル113に封入されているアルカリ金属の吸収線を得るため、ハーフミラー112を経由してアルカリ金属のみが入った参照ガラスセル113を通過する。レーザ光L12は、参照ガラスセル113を通過する際、参照ガラスセル113内のアルカリ金属を励起する。従って、レーザ光L12はポンプ光とも称される。励起される際、レーザ光L12は特定の周波数成分が吸光される。
 参照ガラスセル113を通過したレーザ光L12は、NDフィルタ114を通過した後、ミラー115によって反射し、NDフィルタ114を再度通過し、参照ガラスセル113を再度通過する。
 ミラー115で反射し、再度参照ガラスセル113に入力したレーザ光L12は、2回NDフィルタ114を通過することで、光強度が弱められる。ミラー115で反射し、再度参照ガラスセル113に入力したレーザ光L12をレーザ光L13と称する。レーザ光L13はプローブ光とも称される。なお、レーザ光L13は、レーザ光L12とは同一の光路を逆方向に進むことになる。
 レーザ光L13は、参照ガラスセル113を通過後、ハーフミラー112で反射され、光検出器116に入力する。
 光検出器116は、レーザ光L13の光強度を電気信号に変換する。そして、位相検出回路117には、予めアルカリ金属原子本来の吸収線の周波数を有する正弦波が参照信号として入力されている。位相検出回路117は、光検出器116で検出されたレーザ光L13の信号強度変化と、参照信号との位相、周波数が一致していない場合、その差信号を出力する。
 続いて、積分回路118が位相検出回路117から出力された電気信号における高周波成分を除去した後、駆動回路102へ電気信号を出力する。
 駆動回路102は、積分回路118から出力された電気信号を基に、周波数安定化部12から出力されたレーザ光L14の周波数制御を行う。
 前記したように、レーザ光L12(ポンプ光)の光強度は強く、レーザ光L13(プローブ光)の光強度はNDフィルタ114を2回通過することでレーザ光L12(ポンプ光)に比べて十分弱くなっている。
 光強度が強いレーザ光L12(ポンプ光)は、参照ガラスセル113に封入されているアルカリ金属原子の励起を飽和する。このとき、参照ガラスセル113での光吸収周波数特性は、本来なら吸収線が現れるはずであるが、アルカリ金属原子の揺動等により、幅の広い吸収スペクトルが現れる。この吸収スペクトルのピーク値に周波数がロックされることで、周波数の安定化を図ることも可能であるが、ここでは、より正確を期すためレーザ光L13(プローブ光)が使用される。
 レーザ光L13(プローブ光)は、前記したように弱い光強度となっている。従って、レーザ光L13(プローブ光)は、飽和している参照ガラスセル113内のアルカリ金属原子によって吸光されない。レーザ光L12における幅の広い吸収スペクトルのうち、アルカリ金属原子の揺動による吸収は行われるので、レーザ光L13においても、アルカリ金属原子本来の吸収光以外の光は吸収される。その結果、前記した幅の広い吸収スペクトルのうち、アルカリ金属原子本来の吸収光以外のスペクトルはより吸収され、アルカリ金属原子本来の吸収線のみがレーザ光L13に残ることになる。
 その結果、レーザ光L13(プローブ光)のスペクトル特性において、前記した幅の広い吸収スペクトル中に、レーザ光L14による鋭い非吸収スペクトルが生じる。この非吸収スペクトルに、周波数がロックされることで、正確な周波数安定化が行われる。
(光強度安定)
 次に、強度安定化部14による光強度安定処理について説明する。なお、周波数安定化部12による周波数安定処理と、強度安定化部14による光強度の安定化処理は、並行して行われる。
 ビームスプリッタ111で分離され、強度安定化部14に道かれたレーザ光L14は、音響光学変調器121に入力する。このレーザ光L14は音響光学変調器121から出力される際にブラッグ回折によって、0次光、1次光、・・・、N次光(Nは整数)に分離されたレーザ光となって出射する。一般的には、0次光L15と、1次光L16との2つのレーザ光が分離される。
 ここで、音響光学変調器121について、詳細に説明する。
 音響光学変調器121には、電圧が印加可能となっており、電圧が音響光学変調器121に印加されると、音響光学変調器121内部の音響光学素子に密着している圧電素子が、印加された電圧に応じた所定の振動数で振動する。この振動は、音響光学素子に伝達し、音響光学素子そのものも当該振動数で振動する。
 音響光学変調器121に電圧が印加された状態で、音響光学変調器121にレーザ光L14が入力されると、前記したように該レーザ光は0次光L15と、1次光L16とに分離されて、音響光学変調器121から出力される。このとき、音響光学変調器121に電圧が印加されたときの音響光学素子の振動数をFとし、音響光学変調器121に入力したレーザ光L14の振動数をf0とすると、0次光L15の振動数はf0となり、1次光L16の振動数はf0+Fとなる。
 さらに、音響光学変調器121に入力されたレーザ光L14の光強度をAとし、音響光学変調器121から出力される0次光L15の光強度をA0、1次光L16の光強度をA1とすると、A=A0+A1の関係が成り立つ。そして、A0、A1の値は、音響光学変調器121に印加される電圧によって調整可能である(ただし、A=A0+A1の関係は維持される)。このような性質は、一般に音響光学効果と呼ばれる。
 本願では、このような音響光学変調器121の性質を利用する。
 前記したように、周波数安定部によって周波数を安定化したレーザ光L14が音響光学変調器121に入力すると、0次光L15及び1次光L16が出力される。
 その際に、1次光L16の光強度が最大となるよう、音響光学変調器121に入力するレーザ光L14の角度(ブラッグアングル)を調節することが望ましい。このとき、入力するレーザ光L14の角度調節のため、音響光学変調器121に3軸(X軸、Y軸、Z軸)かつ角度(θ軸)等の位置調節機構があると容易に調整が可能となる。
 本実施形態では、0次光L15を用いて、1次光L16は用いない。理由は、前記したように、音響光学変調器121に入力するレーザ光L14と、0次光L15の周波数が同一のものとなるためである。
 音響光学変調器121からの0次光L15はビームスプリッタ122によって、強度安定化制御を行うためのレーザ光L18と、磁場計測に用いられるレーザ光L17(センサ励起光)の2つに分離される。
 レーザL18光は、光検出器123に入力される。光検出器123は、入力された制御用レーザ光の光強度を電気信号に変換する。
 そして、差動増幅回路125が、基準電圧回路124から供給される基準電圧と、光検出器123から送られるレーザ光L15の光強度から変換された電気信号の電圧との差分を行い、適切なゲインに増幅させる。なお、基準電圧は、音響光学変調器121における目標印加電圧である。
 続いて、積分回路126が、差動増幅回路125から出力される電圧変動のうち、所定の周波数以上の成分をカットする。つまり、積分回路126はローパスフィルタの機能を有する。
 そして、駆動回路127が、積分回路126から出力された電圧を基に、音響光学変調器121に印加する電圧を変更する。具体的には、駆動回路127は、入力された電圧(積分回路126から出力された電圧)が+V1であれば、音響光学変調器121に印加する電圧をV1だけ下げる。逆に、入力された電圧が-V1であれば、駆動回路127は、音響光学変調器121に印加する電圧をV1だけ上げる。
 音響光学変調器121は、印加される電圧に応じて0次光であるレーザ光L15の強度を変更する。すなわち、音響光学変調器121は、音響光学効果によってレーザ出力装置101から出力され、周波数安定化されたレーザ光L14を変更可能である。
 つまり、駆動回路127は、光強度変動検出回路130が検出した光強度の変動を基に、音響光学変調器121に印加される電圧を制御することで、音響光学変調器121を駆動する。
 以上のことが行われることにより、音響光学変調器121は、レーザ出力装置101から出力され、周波数安定化されたレーザ光L14を入力して、音響光学効果により入力したレーザ光L14の強度を変調し、0次光として出力する。
 すなわち、光検出器123、基準電圧回路124、差動増幅回路125、積分回路126、駆動回路127は、全体として音響光学変調器121に印加される電圧が基準電圧となるようフィードバック制御する。
 このように、光源装置10は、レーザ出力装置101から出力された光が、音響光学変調器121に入力され、音響光学変調器121から出力される0次光を出力している。さそして、光強度変動検出回路130は、音響光学変調器121から出力される0次光を基に、光の強度の変動を検出している。
 これにより、音響光学変調器121に印加される電圧が一定となり、0次光L15の光強度が一定となる。
 なお、安定化する光強度を変更したい場合、基準電圧回路124の出力電圧が変更されることで実現できる。
 第1実施形態の光源装置10は、自身が出力している光の強度の変動を検出し、この光の強度が一定となるよう補正している。このようにすることで、光源装置10が出力する光の強度を安定化させることができ、この光から変換される信号も安定化させることができる。
 また、第1実施形態による光強度安定化処理は、実際の光(レーザ光)の光強度を基に行われるため、物理的な振動による光強度変動も除去可能である。物理的な振動とは、例えば、光源装置10が設置してある台が振動すること等である。
 また、第1実施形態の光源装置10は、光変動補正部を音響光学変調器121とし、音響光学変調器121から出力される0次光を基に、前記光の強度の変動を検出している。音響光学変調器121の0次光は、入力される光(レーザ光L14)と同一の周波数を出力する性質があるため、周波数調整の設定等を行うことなく、光源装置10から出力されるレーザ光L17を磁場計測に用いることができる。
 さらに、第1実施形態の光源装置10は、周波数安定化部12を有することで、出力する光(レーザ光L17)の周波数を安定化させることができる。そして、強度安定化部14を、周波数安定化部12の後段に設けることで、周波数安定化部12で生じる光強度の変動が出力される光(レーザ光L17)に重畳することを防ぐことができる。
[磁場計測装置]
 次に、磁場計測装置について説明する。
《第2実施形態》
 図3~図5を参照して、本発明の第2実施形態に係る磁場計測装置について説明する。
 第2実施形態に係る磁場計測装置20は、RF磁場で生じる光-RF二重共鳴を利用してセンサ部25に印加される磁場を検出するものである。
 図3は、第2実施形態に係る磁場計測装置の構成例を示す図である。
 磁場計測装置20は、光源部21、光分割部22、センサ部25、静磁場発生部26、RF磁場発生部27、信号制御処理部24及び磁場解析部50を有する。
 光源部21は、光を出力するものであり、第1実施形態における光源装置10を用いることが望ましいが、用いられなくてもよい。
 光分割部22は、光源部21から出力されたレーザ光L21を、レーザ光L22,L23の2つに分離する。
 光源部21から出力された光を通過させる1つのセンサ部25、静磁場発生部26及びRF磁場発生部27が磁場シールド23内に配置されている。
 センサ部25には、静磁場発生部26による静磁場、RF磁場発生部27によるRF磁場が印加されている。また、測定対象(不図示)がセンサ部25の近傍にあり、測定対象による磁場も印加されている。
 光分割部22によって、分割されたレーザ光L22はセンサ部25を通過することで、測定対象から生じる磁場の情報と、センサ部25に由来する光強度の変動、すなわちノイズとを有するレーザ光L24となる。なお、レーザ光L23はセンサ部25に由来するノイズ成分を有する。これらについては、後記して説明する。
 信号制御処理部24は、センサ部25を通過したレーザ光L23,L24を基に、レーザ光L24より得られる電気信号からセンサ部25に由来するノイズ(光強度の変動)を除去する。また、信号制御処理部24は、磁場解析に必要な電気信号を磁場解析部50へ送る。さらに、信号制御処理部24は、静磁場発生部26に定電流を供給するとともに、ノイズを除去した信号を基にRF磁場発生部27におけるRF磁場の周波数を制御する。
 そして、磁場解析部50は信号制御処理部24から送られる、磁場解析に必要な電気信号を基に磁場解析を行う。なお、磁場解析部50は、磁場計測装置20とは別の装置としてもよい。
 ここで、磁場シールド23は高透磁率であるパーマロイを使用することが好ましい。また、磁場シールド23のサイズは、測定対象に依存する。例えば、ヒトの心臓や脳から生体磁場を計測する場合には、磁場シールド23のサイズは人体を覆うことが可能なサイズとなる。
 次に、図3における各構成の詳細な説明をする。まず、図4、図5を参照して、磁場計測装置20の構成について簡単に説明し、その後、各構成の詳細な機能を記載する。
 図4は、第2実施形態に係る磁場計測装置の詳細な構成を示す図であり、図5は、第2実施形態に係るセンサ装置の詳細な構成を示す図である。
 図4に示すように、磁場計測装置20は、光源部21である光源装置201を有している。前記したように、光源装置201は、第1実施形態における光源装置10が好ましいが、そうでなくてもよい。
 そして、光分割部22は、例えば、ビームスプリッタ202と、複数のミラー203を有している。
 センサ装置211は、測定対象となる磁場の発生源とともに磁場シールド23の内部に配置されている。また、磁場シールド23の内部には、センサ装置211におけるセンサ用ガラスセル223(図5)に、光源装置201から入力されるレーザ光の光軸と45度の各度をなす方向に静磁場を引加する静磁場発生装置212が配置されている。さらに、磁場シールド23の内部には、静磁場発生装置212が発生する静磁場に対して、直交する方向の振動磁場を発生するRF磁場発生装置213が配置されている。
 ここで、RF磁場発生装置213も静磁場発生装置212と同様にコイルであり、センサ用ガラスセル223を挟む配置となるヘルムホルツコイルが望ましい。RF磁場発生装置213の機能は、信号制御処理部24の発振回路237によって、精密にRF周波数を制御された振動磁場が供給されることである。
 また、信号制御処理部24は、2つの光検出器(変換部)231,232、差動増幅回路(差分部)233、フィルタ回路234、位相検出回路235、ループフィルタ回路236、発振回路237を有する。これらの機能については、後記して説明する。
 そして、信号制御処理部24は、静磁場発生装置212に対し精密に制御された定電流を供給する安定化電流源238を有する。
 また、図5に示すように、センサ装置211は、コリメートレンズ221,225、λ/4波長板(円偏光部)222、センサ用ガラスセル223及び集光レンズ224,226を有する。ここで、センサ用ガラスセル223にはアルカリ金属ガスが封入されている。
 以下、図4及び図5を参照して、各装置の機能を詳細に説明する。
 光源装置201から出力されるレーザ光L21は、センサ用ガラスセル223に封入されているアルカリ金属の吸収線(D1線もしくはD2線)の波長を含むレーザ光である。
 図4に示すように、光源装置201からのレーザ光L21は、同じ光強度になるように、光分割部22のビームスプリッタ202によって、レーザ光L22,L23の2つに分離される。分離されたレーザ光L22、L23はミラー203によって、重ならないように平行に進むレーザ光となって、センサ装置211に入力する。
 図5に示すように、センサ用ガラスセル223は、λ/4波長板222の後段に備えられるとともに、アルカリ金属ガスが封入されており、光分割部22(図4)によって分離された2つの光(レーザ光L22,L23)が入力する。
 図5に示すように、光分割部22から入力される2つのレーザ光L22,L23のうち、一方のレーザ光であるレーザ光L22は、コリメートレンズ221、λ/4波長板222を介してセンサ用ガラスセル223に入力される。
 レーザ光L22は、コリメートレンズ221で平行光となり、λ/4波長板222で円偏光のレーザ光L24となってセンサ用ガラスセル223に入力される。コリメートレンズ221による平行光とは、拡散及び収束しない光という意味である。
 また、レーザ光L23は、コリメートレンズ225を介してセンサ用ガラスセル223に導入される。レーザ光L23はコリメートレンズ225で平行光となり、無偏光の状態でセンサ用ガラスセル223に入力される。
 そして、センサ用ガラスセル223を通過した各レーザ光L24,L23は集光レンズ224,226でそれぞれ集光され、信号制御処理部24の光検出器231,232それぞれに入力される。光検出器231,232は、センサ用ガラスセル223を通過した2つの光(レーザ光L24,L23)それぞれの強度を電気信号に変換する。
 ここで、レーザ光L23,L24は平行な状態で、センサ用ガラスセル223に入力される。また、同一の光源装置201(図4)から出力されることで、レーザ光L23,L24は、光の波長及び光強度が同じである。
 図4に示すように、光検出器231,232それぞれから出力される電気信号は、差動増幅回路233において差分され・適切なゲインに増幅される。
 ここで、差動増幅回路233によって、光検出器231,232それぞれからの電気信号が差分されることで、円偏光であるレーザ光L24から無偏光のレーザ光L23の差分がとられることになる。
 ここで、無偏光のレーザ光L23はほぼノイズ成分のみのレーザ光であるとみなされる。従って、差動増幅回路233が、円偏光のレーザ光L24に由来する電気信号から無偏光のレーザ光L23に由来する電気信号を差分する。このようにすることで、レーザ光L24におけるノイズ成分が除去される。つまり、センサ用ガラスセル223由来のノイズ成分がレーザ光L24から除去される。
 差動増幅回路233から出力された電気信号は、フィルタ回路234によって解析に必要な帯域に調整される。
 一方、位相検出回路235は、発振回路237からの電気信号を参照信号としてフィルタ回路234からの電気信号を検出する。ループフィルタ回路236は、検出された電気信号が発振しないように制御する。さらに、ループフィルタ回路236から出力された信号が発振回路237に入力されることで、発振回路237の発振周波数が電圧制御される。
 そして、発振回路237の発信周波数がRF磁場発生装置213に入力されることで、RF磁場発生装置213のRF磁場の周波数がフィードバック制御される。なお、位相検出回路235、発振回路237、ループフィルタ回路236によるRF磁場発生装置213の制御は既知の技術である。
 そして、磁場解析部50が、フィードバック制御時のループフィルタ回路236の出力変化から、センサ用ガラスセル223の近傍の測定対象で発生する微弱磁場を計測する。
 第2実施形態の磁場解析装置20によれば、光源部21から出力された光(レーザ光)を通過させる1つのセンサ部25と、センサ部25を通過した光に基づく2つの光(レーザ光)を基に、光の強度の変動を除去する。つまり、同一のセンサ部25を通過した光に基づいて、差分をとることで光強度の変動を除去することで、センサ部25に由来する光強度の変動(ノイズ)を除去することができる。これにより、該光(レーザ光)に基づく信号を安定化させることができる。
 また、同一の光源部21から出力された光を用いることで、周波数及び光強度が同じ光(レーザ光)によるノイズ除去が可能となり、ノイズ除去後の光(レーザ光)を安定化させ、かつ、周波数及び光強度の調整を不要とすることができる。
 また、第1実施形態に係る光源装置10を、光源部21(光源装置201)として用いることで、第1実施形態における光源装置10と同様の効果を有することができる。
《第3実施形態》
 図6~図8を参照して、本発明の第3実施形態に係る磁場計測装置について説明する。
 第3実施形態に係る磁場計測装置は、第2実施形態と同様にRF磁場で生じる光-RF二重共鳴を利用してセンサ部35に印加される測定対象の磁場を検出するものである。
 図6は、第3実施形態に係る磁場計測装置の構成例を示す図である。
 磁場計測装置30は、光源部31、光分割部32、センサ部35、静磁場発生部36、RF磁場発生部37、信号制御処理部34、磁場解析部50及び光強度制御部39を有する。
 光源部31は、光を出力するものであり、第1実施形態における光源装置20を用いることが望ましいが、用いられなくてもよい。
 光分割部32は、光源部31から出力されたレーザ光L31を、レーザ光L32,L33の2つに分離する。つまり、光分割部32は、同一の前記光源部から発信させたレーザ光L31を、第1の光であるレーザ光L32及び第2の光であるレーザ光L33に分離する。
 光強度制御部39は、後記する機能によって、レーザ光L31にノイズ成分を意図的に重畳することで、レーザ光L31をレーザ光L34に変換し、出力する。つまり、光強度制御部39は、信号制御処理部34から送られた電気信号の変動であるノイズを第1の光であるレーザ光L32に重畳する。
 磁場シールド33内には、センサ部35、静磁場発生部36及びRF磁場発生部37が配置されている。
 磁場シールド33は、第2実施形態と同様であるので、ここでは詳細な説明を省略する。
 センサ部35には、静磁場発生部36による静磁場、RF磁場発生部37によるRF磁場が印加されている。また、測定対象(不図示)がセンサ部35の近傍にあり、測定対象による磁場も印加されている。
 レーザ光L34はセンサ部35を通過することで、測定対象から生じる磁場の情報と、センサ部35に由来するノイズとを有するレーザ光L36となる。なお、レーザ光L33はセンサ部35に由来するノイズ成分を有するレーザ光L33となる。これらについては、後記して説明する。
 信号制御処理部34は、レーザ光L33におけるノイズ成分を光強度制御部39に送る。光強度制御部39は、レーザ光L32の光強度を制御することで、送られたノイズ成分をレーザ光L32に重畳する。また、信号制御処理部34は、レーザ光L34に基づく電気信号を基に、RF磁場発生部37にRF磁場の周波数を制御する。さらに、信号制御処理部34は、静磁場発生部36に定電流を供給する。
 また、信号制御処理部34は、磁場解析に必要な電気信号を磁場解析部50へ送る。
 そして、磁場解析部50は信号制御処理部34から送られる、磁場解析に必要な電気信号を基に磁場解析を行う。なお、磁場解析部50は磁場計測装置30とは別の装置としてもよい。
 次に、図6における各構成の詳細な説明をする。まず、図7、図8を参照して、磁場計測装置30の構成について簡単に説明し、その後、各構成の詳細な機能を記載する。
 図7は、第3実施形態に係る磁場計測装置の詳細な構成を示す図であり、図8は、第3実施形態に係るセンサ装置の詳細な構成を示す図である。
 図7に示すように、磁場計測装置30は、光源部31である光源装置301を有している。前記したように、光源装置301は第1実施形態の光源装置10であることが望ましいが、そうでなくてもよい。
 そして、光分割部32は、ビームスプリッタ302と、複数のミラー303を有している。
 また、磁場計測装置30は、光強度制御部39として音響光学変調器(音響光学変調部)351を有している。音響光学変調器351は、第1実施形態(図2)における音響光学変調器121と同様の性質を有するものである。
 さらに、磁場シールド33内には、センサ部35であるセンサ装置311と、静磁場発生部36である静磁場発生装置312と、RF磁場発生部37であるRF磁場発生装置313が配置されている。
 また、信号制御処理部34は、2つの光検出器(変換部)331,341、基準電圧回路(基準電圧部)332、差動増幅回路333、積分回路334及び駆動回路(駆動部)335を有している。さらに、信号制御処理部34は、増幅回路342、フィルタ回路343、位相検出回路344、ループフィルタ回路345、発振回路346を有する。これらの機能については、後記して説明する。
 そして、信号制御処理部34は、静磁場発生装置312に対し精密に制御された定電流を供給する安定化電流源347を有する。
 また、図8に示すように、センサ装置311は、コリメートレンズ321,325、λ/4波長板(円偏光部)322、センサ用ガラスセル323及び集光レンズ324,326を有する。
 ここで、図8に示すように、センサ用ガラスセル323は、λ/4波長板322の後段に備えられるとともに、アルカリ金属ガスが封入されており、円偏光された第1の光であるレーザ光L36及び第2の光であるレーザ光L33が通過するものである。
 以下、図7及び図8を参照して、各装置の機能を詳細に説明する。
 光源装置301から出力されるレーザ光L31は、センサ装置311におけるセンサ用ガラスセル323に封入されているアルカリ金属の吸収線(D1線もしくはD2線)の波長を含むレーザ光である。
 図7に示すように、光源装置301からのレーザ光L31は、同じ光強度になるようにビームスプリッタ302によって2つのレーザ光L32,L33に分離される。分離されたレーザ光L32、L33はミラー303によって、重ならないように平行に進むレーザ光となって、センサ装置311に入力する。
 レーザ光L32、L33のうち、レーザ光L32は、音響光学変調器351によって光強度の制御が行われることで、センサ用ガラスセル323(図8)に由来するノイズがレーザ光L32に重畳し、レーザ光L34となる。音響光学変調器351による光強度の制御については後記する。
 図8に示すように、レーザ光L33、L34のうち、レーザ光L34は、コリメートレンズ321、λ/4波長板322を介してセンサ用ガラスセル323に入力される。レーザ光L32は音響光学変調器351で0次光L34と1次光L35とに分離するが、そのうち0次光L34がコリメートレンズ321によって平行光となる。1次光L35は第1実施形態における音響光学変調器121と同様の理由から使用しない。そして、当該0次光L34はλ/4波長板322によって円偏光のレーザ光L36に変換された後、センサ用ガラスセル323に入力する。
 また、レーザ光L33は、キャンセル用励起光としてコリメートレンズ325を介してセンサ用ガラスセル323に入力される。レーザ光L33は、コリメートレンズ325で平行光となり、無偏光の状態でセンサ用ガラスセル323に入力する。
 センサ用ガラスセル323を通過した各レーザ光L33、L36は集光レンズ326,324それぞれで集光され、それぞれの光検出器331,341で光強度が電気信号に変換される。
 レーザ光L33,L36がセンサ用ガラスセル323に入力する条件は第2実施形態と同様である。つまり、レーザ光L33,L36がセンサ用ガラスセル323に入力する条件は、光の波長が同じであり、光強度が同じであり、重ならないように平行に入力することである。
 図7に示すように、光検出器341から出力された電気信号は、増幅回路342によって適切なゲインに増幅され、フィルタ回路343によって解析に必要な帯域に調整される。
 また、フィルタ回路343から出力された電気信号は、位相検出回路344、ループフィルタ回路345、発振回路346によって、RF磁場発生装置313のRF磁場の周波数制御に用いられる。磁場解析部50、位相検出回路344、ループフィルタ回路345、発振回路346の機能は、第2実施形態と同様であるので、ここでは、詳細な説明を省略する。
 一方、光検出器331から出力された電気信号は、差動増幅回路333によって基準電圧回路332から供給される基準電圧と差分され、適切なゲインに増幅される。基準電圧は、例えば、光検出器331から出力された電気信号からノイズ成分のみを抽出できるような電圧に予め設定されている。
 このようにすることで、差動増幅回路333から出力される電気信号は、無偏光のレーザ光L33におけるセンサ用ガラスセル323に由来するノイズ成分のみを含む電気信号となる。
 従って、差動増幅回路333から出力された電気信号は、センサ用ガラスセル323(図8)に由来するノイズ成分のみを含む電気信号となる。
 差動増幅回路333から出力された電気信号は積分回路334によって、必要な帯域に制御された後、駆動回路335に入力される。
 駆動回路335は、積分回路334から出力された電気信号に基づいて、音響光学変調器351の印加電圧を制御する。つまり、駆動回路335は、電気信号の変動の正負を逆転させた前記電圧の変化を前記音響光学変調器351に印加する。このとき、駆動回路335は、積分回路334から出力された電気信号の正負を逆転させた電気信号に基づいて、音響光学変調器351の印加電圧を制御する。
 音響光学変調器351は、第1実施形態における音響光学変調器121と同様の機能により、レーザ光L32の光強度を変動させる。
 このようにすることで、レーザ光L32にレーザ光L33のノイズ成分(センサ用ガラスセル323に由来するノイズ成分)の正負が逆転した信号が重畳する。これにより、レーザ光L32は、正負が逆転したノイズ成分が重畳されたレーザ光L34となる。
 λ/4波長板322で円偏光されたレーザ光L36がセンサ用ガラスセル323に入力すると、レーザ光L36における正負が逆転したノイズ成分と、センサ用ガラスセル323に由来するノイズとがキャンセルし合う。結果として、センサ用ガラスセル323を通過したレーザ光L36はセンサ用ガラスセル323由来のノイズ成分が除去されたものとなる。
 第3実施形態における磁場計測装置30によれば、第2実施形態における磁場計測装置20の効果に加えて、磁場計測に用いる光(レーザ光)を1つにすることができるので、一般的な磁場計測装置の構成を利用することができる。つまり、既存の磁場計測装置に各部331~335を追加することで、磁場計測装置30を実現することができる。なお、各部331~335と、各部341~347とは、別の装置としてもよい。
 また、光強度制御部39として音響光学変調器351が用いられることによって、光源装置301から出力される光(レーザ光)の周波数調整等の設定が不要となる。
 さらに、第1実施形態に係る光源装置10を、光源部21(光源装置201)として用いることで、第1実施形態における光源装置10と同様の効果を有することができる。
《第4実施形態》
 図9~図11を参照して、本発明の第4実施形態に係る磁場計測装置について説明する。
 第4実施形態に係る磁場計測装置40では、直線偏光の偏光面の傾きでセンサ部45に印加される磁場を検出する。
 図9は、第4実施形態に係る磁場計測装置の構成例を示す図である。
 磁場計測装置40は、光源部41,42、センサ部45、静磁場発生部46、信号制御処理部44及び磁場解析部50を有する。
 光源部41,42は、レーザ光L41,L42を出力するものであり、第1実施形態における光源装置10を用いることが望ましいが、用いられなくてもよい。
 センサ部45及び静磁場発生部46が磁場シールド43内に配置されている。
 磁場シールド43は、第2実施形態におけるものと同様のものであるので、説明を省略する。
 センサ部45には、静磁場発生部46による静磁場が印加されている。また、測定対象(不図示)がセンサ部45の近傍にあり、測定対象による磁場も印加されている。
 光源部41から出力されたレーザ光L41はセンサ部45を通過することで、測定対象から生じる磁場の情報を有するレーザ光L45,L46となる。なお、レーザ光L42はセンサ部45におけるアルカリ金属をスピン偏極させるために用いられる。これらについては、後記して説明する。
 信号制御処理部44は、センサ部45を通過したレーザ光L45,L46を基に、センサ部45に由来するノイズを除去する。また、信号制御処理部44は、磁場解析に必要な電気信号を磁場解析部50へ送る。さらに、信号制御処理部44は、静磁場発生部46に定電流を供給する。
 そして、磁場解析部50は信号制御処理部44から送られる、磁場解析に必要な電気信号を基に磁場解析を行う。磁場解析部50は磁場計測装置40とは別の装置としてもよい。
 センサ部45及び静磁場発生部46が配置される磁場シールド43は、第2実施形態と同様であるため、ここでの説明を省略する。
 次に、図9における各構成の詳細な説明をする。まず、図10、図11を参照して、磁場計測装置40の構成について簡単に説明し、その後、各構成の詳細な機能を記載する。
 図10は、第4実施形態に係る磁場計測装置の詳細な構成を示す図であり、図11は、第4実施形態に係るセンサ装置の詳細な構成を示す図である。
 図10に示すように、磁場計測装置40は、光源部41,42である2つの光源装置401,402を有している。前記したように光源装置401,402は第1実施形態の光源装置10であることが望ましいが、そうでなくてもよい。また、光源装置401のみが第1実施形態の光源装置10でもよい。
 さらに、磁場シールド内には、センサ部45であるセンサ装置411と、静磁場発生部46である静磁場発生装置412が配置されている。
 また、信号制御処理部44は、2つの光検出器(変換部)431,432、差動増幅回路433、フィルタ回路434を有する。これらの機能については、後記して説明する。
 図10に示すように、センサ装置411は測定磁場の発生源である測定対象(不図示)とともに磁場シールドの43内部に配置されている。そして、磁場シールド43の内部には、センサ装置411に、レーザ光L41と、レーザ光L42との光軸に対して、直交方向の静磁場を引加する静磁場発生装置412も配置されている。
 静磁場発生装置412はコイルであり、例えば、センサ装置411におけるセンサ用ガラスセル423を挟むような配置となるヘルムホルツコイル等でよい。静磁場発生装置412は磁場シールド43外に備えられている安定化電流源435から精密に制御された一定電流が供給されることで、安定した静磁場をセンサ装置411に印加する。
 また、図11に示すように、センサ装置411は、コリメートレンズ421,424、λ/2波長板(直線偏光部)422、λ/4波長板(円偏光部)425、センサ用ガラスセル423、偏光ビームスプリッタ(分離部)426及び集光レンズ427,428を有する。ここで、センサ用ガラスセル423にはアルカリ金属ガスが封入されている。
 以下、図10及び図11を参照して、各装置の機能を詳細に説明する。
 光源装置401(図10)から出力されるレーザ光L41は、センサ用ガラスセル423(図11)に封入されているアルカリ金属の吸収線(D1線もしくはD2線)の波長を含むレーザ光である。また、光源装置402から出力されるレーザ光L42は当該アルカリ金属の吸収線の波長を含まないレーザ光である。図11に示すように、レーザ光L41とレーザ光L42との進行方向は90度異なり、センサ用ガラスセル423内で直交交差する。つまり、センサ用ガラスセル423は、λ/2波長板422及びλ/4波長板425の後段に備えられている。そして、センサ用ガラスセル423は、アルカリ金属ガスが封入され、直線偏光された光(レーザ光L43)と、円偏光された光(レーザ光L44)とが直交して入力するものである。
 図11に示すように、光源装置402(図10)から出力される第2の光であるレーザ光L42は、コリメートレンズ424で平行光となった後、λ/4波長板425により円偏光のレーザ光L44となり、センサ用ガラスセル423に入力する。円偏光のレーザ光L44によって、センサ用ガラスセル423内部のアルカリ金属原子はスピン偏極状態となる。
 また、光源装置401から出力される第1の光であるレーザ光L41(プローブ光)は、コリメートレンズ421で平行光となった後、λ/2波長板422で直線偏光のレーザ光L43となり、センサ用ガラスセル423に入力する。
 センサ用ガラスセル423を通過した直線偏光のレーザ光L43は偏光ビームスプリッタ426で、左回りの円偏光のレーザ光L45と右回りの円偏光のレーザ光L46に分離される。左回りの円偏光のレーザ光L45は集光レンズ427で集光され、光検出器431が集光した左回りの円偏光のレーザ光L45を電気信号に変換する。
 同様に、右回りの円偏光のレーザ光L46は集光レンズ428で集光され、光検出器432が集光した右回りの円偏光のレーザ光L46を電気信号に検出変換する。
 そして、図10に示すように、光検出器431,432それぞれから出力された電気信号は差動増幅回路433で差分され、さらに、適切なゲインに増幅される。つまり、差動増幅回路433は、左回りの円偏光の光(レーザ光L45)が変換された電気信号と、右周りの円偏光の光(レーザ光L46)が変換された電気信号とを差分する。
 差動増幅回路433において、光検出器431,432それぞれからの出力の差分がとられることで、左回りの円偏光のレーザ光L45と、右回りの円偏光のレーザ光L46の差分がとられる。これにより、互いに逆向きの円偏光の差分がとられることにより、左回りの円偏光のレーザ光L45と右回りの円偏光のレーザ光L46とにおけるノイズは互いに打ち消しあい、センサ用ガラスセル423に由来するノイズがキャンセルされる。
 差動増幅回路433から出力された電気信号は、適切な信号帯域の信号成分を取り出すためにフィルタ回路434で処理される。フィルタ回路434から出力された電気信号は、センサ用ガラスセル423に入る磁場に対応した直線偏光の偏光面の傾き変動を反映している。
 そして、フィルタ回路434から出力された電気信号は、磁場解析部50によって解析される。
 第4実施形態における磁場計測装置40によれば、第2実施形態における磁場計測装置20の効果に加えて、システムをシンプルにすることができる。
(その他の例)
 なお、図12に示すように第2実施形態の図3における磁場計測装置20からRF磁場計測部27が省略された磁場計測装置20aとしてもよい。ここで、磁場計測装置20aは、直線偏光の偏光面の傾きでセンサ部25に印加される磁場を検出する。従って、図12に示す磁場計測装置20aでは、光源部21とは別に、レーザ光L51を出力する光源部51を有している。
 また、磁場計測装置20aの信号制御処理部24aでは、図4の位相検出回路235、ループフィルタ回路236、発振回路237が省略された構成となっている。
 そして、磁場計測装置20aのセンサ部25aの構成は、図11の構成から偏光ビームスプリッタ426が省略され、集光レンズ427,428及び光検出器431,432が図5の集光レンズ224,226及び光検出器231,232の機能を有するものである。
 ここで、レーザ光L51は、第4実施形態におけるレーザ光L42と同様の機能を有する。
 また、図13に示すように第3実施形態の図6における磁場計測装置30からRF磁場計測部37が省略された磁場計測装置30aとしてもよい。ここで、磁場計測装置30aは、直線偏光の偏光面の傾きでセンサ部35に印加される磁場を検出する。従って、図13に示す磁場計測装置30aでは、光源部31とは別に、レーザ光L52を出力する光源部52を有している。
 また、磁場計測装置30aの信号制御処理部34aでは、図4の位相検出回路344、ループフィルタ回路345、発振回路346が省略された構成となっている。
 そして、磁場計測装置30aのセンサ部35aの構成は、図11の構成から偏光ビームスプリッタ426が省略され、集光レンズ427,428及び光検出器431,432が図8の集光レンズ324,326及び光検出器331,341の機能を有するものである。
 ここで、レーザ光L52は、第4実施形態におけるレーザ光L42と同様の機能を有する。
 さらに、第3実施形態の図9における静磁場計測装置40にRF磁場解析装置が付加されてもよい。
 この場合、光源部42が省略され、センサ部、信号制御処理部の構成は、第2実施形態又は第3実施形態におけるセンサ部、信号処理部の構成となる。
 センサ用ガラスセル223,323,423への各レーザ光L22,L23,L24,L33、L34,L36,L41,L42,L43,L44の導入は、空間伝播によってもよいが、実用性を考慮すると光ファイバを使用した導入が好ましい。その際に、光ファイバを通過するレーザ光L23,L24,L33、L36,L42,L43の偏光状態安定性を配慮して、偏波保持光ファイバを使用することが望ましい。また、センサ用ガラスセル223,323,423を通過したレーザ光L23,L24,L33、L36,L43を各光検出器232,231,331,341,431,432へ導く際においても、空間伝播光でもよいが、実用性を考慮すると光ファイバの使用が望ましい。その場合には、光ファイバの結合効率を考慮して、コア径が大きいマルチモード光ファイバを使用することが望ましい。
 以上のことは、第1実施形態の参照ガラスセル113でも同様である。
 マルチモード光ファイバは、一般に偏波面保存の機能を有さない。しかし、センサ用ガラスセル223,323,423への入力で問題である偏光の崩れは、光検出器231,232,331,341,431,432による光検出時では問題とならないため、マルチモード光ファイバを使用することによる問題は生じない。
 さらに、導入に使用される偏波保持光ファイバと光源装置201,301,401,402との接続箇所にλ/4波長板及びλ/2波長板を挿入し、偏波保持光ファイバの光学軸に偏光面を調整して使用するようにしてもよい。
 本発明は前記した実施形態に限定されるものではなく、様々な変形例が含まれる。例えば、前記した実施形態は本発明を分かりやすく説明するために詳細に説明したものであり、必ずしも説明したすべての構成を有するものに限定されるものではない。また、ある実施形態の構成の一部を他の実施形態の構成に置き換えることが可能であり、ある実施形態の構成に他の実施形態の構成を加えることも可能である。また、各実施形態の構成の一部について、他の構成の追加・削除・置換をすることが可能である。
 また、前記した各構成102,117,118,125~127,233~237,333~335,342~346は、それらの一部又はすべてを、例えば集積回路で設計すること等によりハードウェアで実現してもよい。また、前記した各構102,117,118,125~127,233~237,333~335,342~346成、機能等は、CPU(Central Processing Unit)等のプロセッサがそれぞれの機能を実現するプログラムを解釈し、実行することによりソフトウェアで実現してもよい。各機能を実現するプログラム、テーブル、ファイル等の情報は、HD(Hard Disk)に格納すること以外に、メモリや、SSD(Solid State Drive)等の記録装置、又は、IC(Integrated Circuit)カードや、SD(Secure Digital)カード、DVD(Digital Versatile Disc)等の記録媒体に格納することができる。
 また、各実施形態において、制御線や情報線は説明上必要と考えられるものを示しており、製品上必ずしもすべての制御線や情報線を示しているとは限らない。実際には、ほとんどすべての構成が相互に接続されていると考えてよい。

Claims (14)

  1.  電圧が印加されることで光を発生して出力する光発生部と、
     前記光発生部が出力している光の強度の変動を検出する光強度変動検出部と、
     前記光強度変動検出部が検出した前記光の強度の変動を基に、前記光発生部が出力する光の強度が一定となるよう補正する光強度変動補正部と、
     を有することを特徴とする光源装置。
  2.  前記光強度変動補正部は、前記光発生部から出力される光の強度を音響光学効果により変更可能な音響光学変調部と、前記音響光学変調部を駆動する変調駆動部と、を含んでおり、
     前記音響光学変調部は、前記光発生部から出力される光を入力して、前記音響光学効果により前記入力した光の強度を変調し、0次光として出力し、
     前記光強度変動検出部は、前記音響光学変調部から出力される前記0次光を基に、前記光の強度の変動を検出し、
     前記変調駆動部は、前記光強度変動検出部が検出した前記光の強度の変動を基に、前記音響光学変調部に印加される電圧を制御する
     ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光源装置。
  3.  前記光源装置は、前記光発生部が出力する光の周波数を安定させる周波数安定化部をさらに有する
     ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光源装置。
  4.  前記光強度変動検出部及び前記光強度変動補正部は、前記周波数安定化部の後段に備えられる
     ことを有する請求項3に記載の光源装置。
  5.  電圧が印加されることで光を発生して出力する光発生部と、
     前記光発生部から出力される光の強度を音響光学効果により変更可能な音響光学変調部と、
     前記音響光学変調部から出力される前記0次光を基に、前記光の強度の変動を検出する光強度変動検出部と、
     前記光強度変動検出部が検出した前記光の強度の変動を基に、前記光強度変動検出部が検出した前記光の強度の変動を基に、前記音響光学変調部に印加される電圧を制御することで、前記光発生部が出力する光の強度が一定となるよう補正する変調駆動部と、
     を有し、
     前記音響光学変調部は、前記光発生部から出力される光を入力して、前記音響光学効果により前記入力した光の強度を変調し、0次光として出力する
     ことを有することを特徴とする光源装置。
  6.  光源部から出力された光を通過させる1つのセンサ部と、
     前記センサ部を通過した2つの光を基に、光の強度の変動を除去する信号制御処理部と、
     を有することを特徴とする磁場計測装置。
  7.  前記磁場計測装置は、
     同一の前記光源部から発信させた光を、2つの光に分離する光分割部
     を、さらに有し、
     前記センサ部は、
     前記2つに分けられた光のうち、一方の光を円偏光させる円偏光部と、
     前記円偏光部の後段に備えられるとともに、アルカリ金属ガスが封入されており、前記光分割部によって分離された2つの光が入力するセンサ用ガラスセルと、
     を有し、
     前記信号制御処理部は、
     前記センサ用ガラスセルを通過した2つの光それぞれの強度を電気信号に変換する変換部と、
     変換された前記電気信号を差分する差分部
     を有することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の磁場計測装置。
  8.  前記磁場計測装置は、
     同一の前記光源部から発信させた光を、第1の光及び第2の光に分離する光分割部と、
     前記信号制御処理部から送られた電気信号の変動を前記第1の光に重畳する光強度制御部と、
     を、更に有し、
     前記センサ部は、
     前記第1の光を円偏光させる円偏光部と、
     前記円偏光部の後段に備えられるとともに、アルカリ金属ガスが封入されており、前記第1の光及び第2の光が通過するセンサ用ガラスセルと、
     を有し、
     前記信号制御処理部は、
     前記センサ用ガラスセルを通過した前記第2の光の強度を電気信号に変換する変換部と、
     基準電圧を供給する基準電圧部と、
     前記変換部によって変換された電圧と、前記基準電圧との差分値を算出する差分部と、
     前記差分値の変動を、前記電気信号の変動として前記光強度制御部へ送る駆動部と、
     を有することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の磁場計測装置。
  9.  前記光強度制御部は、電圧が印加されることで、出力される光の強度を変更可能な音響光学変調部であり、
     前記駆動部は、前記電気信号の変動の正負を逆転させた前記電圧の変化として前記音響光学変調部に印加する
     ことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の磁場計測装置。
  10.  前記2つの光は、異なる前記光源部から出力され、
     前記センサ部は、
     前記2つの光のうち、第1の光を直線偏光させる直線偏光部と、
     前記2つの光のうち、第2の光を円偏光させる円偏光部と、
     前記直線偏光部及び前記円偏光部の後段に備えられるとともに、アルカリ金属ガスが封入され、前記直線偏光された光と、前記円偏光された光とが直交して入力するセンサ用ガラスセルと、
     前記センサ用ガラスセルを通過した、前記第1の光を、右回りの円偏光の光と、左回りの円偏光の光とに分離する分離部と、
     を有し、
     前記信号制御部は、
     前記左回りの円偏光の光及び右周りの円偏光の光それぞれを電気信号に変換する変換部と、
     前記右回りの円偏光の光が変換された電気信号と、前記左周りの円偏光の光が変換された電気信号とを差分する差分部を
     有する
     ことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の磁場計測装置。
  11.  前記光源部は、
     電圧が印加されることで光を発生して出力する光発生部と、
     前記光発生部が出力している光の強度の変動を検出する光強度変動検出部と、
     前記光強度変動検出部が検出した前記光の強度の変動を基に、前記光発生部が出力する光の強度が一定となるよう補正する光強度変動補正部と、
     を有することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の磁場計測装置。
  12.  前記光強度変動補正部は、前記光発生部から出力される光の強度を音響光学効果により変更可能な音響光学変調部と、前記音響光学変調部を駆動する変調駆動部と、を含んでおり、
     前記音響光学変調部は、前記光発生部から出力される光を入力して、前記音響光学効果により前記入力した光の強度を変調し、0次光として出力し、
     前記光強度変動検出部は、前記音響光学変調部から出力される前記0次光を基に、前記光の強度の変動を検出し、
     前記変調駆動部は、前記光強度変動検出部が検出した前記光の強度の変動を基に、前記音響光学変調部に印加される電圧を制御する
     ことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の磁場計測装置。
  13.  前記光源部は、
     前記光発生部が出力する光の周波数を安定させる周波数安定化部をさらに有する
     ことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の磁場計測装置。
  14.  前記光強度変動検出部及び前記光強度変動補正部は、前記周波数安定化部の後段に備えられる
     ことを有する請求項13に記載の磁場計測装置。
