Description
本開示は、レーダ装置に関し、特に車両に搭載されるレーダ装置の変位(位置ずれ)を判定する技術に関する。
従来、車両の走行安全性を向上させる各種制御を行うために、レーザ光、超音波、ミリ波等のレーダ波を送受信することによって、車両周辺に存在する物標を検知するレーダ装置が用いられている。
レーダ装置は、予め定められた照射範囲にレーダ波が照射されるように、車両の予め定められた位置に取り付けられている。このため、何らかの要因によってレーダ装置の取付位置にずれが生じると、所定の照射範囲にレーダ波が照射されなくなることにより物標の検出精度が低下し、車両の走行安全性を向上させる各種制御の精度が低下するという問題が生じ得る。
特開2004-85258号公報では、レーダ装置の位置ずれを検出するための技術が提案されている(特許文献1)。特開2004-85258号公報には、車両本体に設けられた加速度センサの検出値と、レーダ装置に設けられた加速度センサの検出値とを用いて、車両の走行面に垂直な方向について、レーダ装置の軸ずれを判定する構成が開示されている。
上述の技術では、レーダ装置の位置ずれを判定するために、車両本体に設けられた加速度センサの検出値とレーダ装置に設けられた加速度センサの検出値とを比較する必要があり、構成が複雑になるという問題があった。
本開示は車両に搭載されるレーダ装置の変位(位置ずれ)を、簡易な構成で判定する技術を提供する。
典型的な一例にかかる判定装置は、車両(1)に搭載されたレーダ装置(20)の車両本体(11)を基準とする位置が変化したことを判定する装置であって、基準部材(40)と、変位センサ(30)と、変位判定手段(50、S12)とを備える。基準部材は、車両本体に固定され、少なくとも一部がレーダ装置に隣接するように配置されている。変位センサは、基準部材に対するレーダ装置の変位を検出する。変位判定手段は、変位センサにより検出された変位に基づいて、レーダ装置の車両本体を基準とする位置が変化したか否かを判定する。

また、車両1には、先端部がレーダ装置20に隣接するように車両本体11からバンパ12側へ突出した棒状のステー40が設けられている。ステー40は、剛性の高い材料(例えば、金属やセラミックス)を用いて形成され、車両本体11に直接(バンパ12を介さずに)固定されている。具体的には、ステー40は、車両本体11の前部に設けられた取付部111に対して、取付ねじ112、113によって固定されている。つまり、ステー40は、一方の端部(固定端)が車両本体11に固定され、他方の端部(自由端)がレーダ装置20に隣接するように設けられている。ステー40は、自由端側の先端部における一つの面(この例では上面)が、レーダ装置20の筐体における一つの面(この例では下面)に対向するように配置されている。
レーダ装置20とステー40とが対向する面には、ホール素子31及び磁石32が設けられている。この例では、ホール素子31がレーダ装置20に設けられ、磁石32がステー40に設けられているが、それぞれ逆に設けられてもよい。磁石32は、磁極の一方が車両本体11側(後方側)に、他方がバンパ12側(前方側)に向くように配置されている。
次に、ホール素子31に関連する電気的な構成について説明する。図2に示すように、車両1は、前述のホール素子31及び磁石32からなる変位検出センサ30と、制御部50と、報知装置60とを備える。本実施形態では、制御部50及び報知装置60は、車両本体11側に設けられている。
変位検出センサ30は、磁石32によって生じた磁界(磁束密度)をホール素子31により検出し、検出した磁界の大きさに比例した信号(例えば、電圧値を示す信号)を制御部50へ出力する。これにより、変位検出センサ30は、ステー40(具体的にはステー40におけるレーダ装置20に隣接する部位)に対するレーダ装置20の変位、即ち位置変化を検出する。
すなわち、例えば図1に示すように、バンパ12にレーダ装置20が取り付けられた初期状態(例えば車両1が出荷された時の状態)においては、変位検出センサ30の出力信号(出力値)は、ある一定の値(基準出力値)となる。これに対し、例えば図3に示すように、何らかの要因(例えば衝突によるバンパ12の凹みや変位等)によって車両本体11を基準とするレーダ装置20の位置が変化すると、ホール素子31に対する磁石32の位置が変化する。このため、ホール素子31により検出される磁界の大きさが変化し、変位検出センサ30の出力値が基準出力値から変化する。つまり、ステー40に対するレーダ装置20の変位が、変位検出センサ30により検出される。変位検出センサ30の出力値は、車両本体11に対するレーダ装置20の変位に応じた値となる。
図2に示すように、制御部50は、CPU51、ROM52、RAM53をメインに構成される周知のマイクロコンピュータによって構成されている。制御部50(CPU51)は、ROM52に記憶されたプログラムに従って、後述する変位判定処理を実行する。
報知装置60は、車室内のインストールメントパネルに設けられ、表示による報知を行う。具体的には、報知装置60は、制御部50からの制御信号に基づいて、レーダ装置20の車両本体11を基準とする位置が変化したこと、つまりレーダ装置20に位置ずれが生じたことをユーザ(運転者及び乗員)に報知する。
[処理]
次に、CPU51が実行する変位判定処理について、図4に示すフローチャートを用いて説明する。なお、図4に示す処理は、イグニションオンの期間中、所定サイクルで繰り返し実行される。

まず、S10(Sはステップを表す)での処理は、変位検出センサ30の出力値を取得する。次にS12での処理は、S10で取得した出力値と基準出力値との差(以下、変位値という)の絶対値が、予め定められたしきい値以上であるか否かを判定する。ここで、変位値がしきい値以上でない(しきい値未満である)場合、本変位判定処理を終了する。一方、変位値がしきい値以上である場合、S14に移行する。S14での処理は、レーダ装置20に位置ずれが生じたことを報知させるための制御信号を報知装置60へ出力する。そして、本変位判定処理を終了する。
[効果]
以上詳述した第1実施形態によれば、以下の効果が得られる。
車両本体11を基準とするレーダ装置20の位置の変化を、先端部が隣接するステー40対するレーダ装置20の変位として検出するようにしている。従って、変位検出センサ30を用いて、レーダ装置20の変位を直接的に判定することができる。結果として、第1実施形態によれば、従来技術と比べて、簡易な構成でレーダ装置20の位置ずれの判定を行うことができる。
以上詳述した第1実施形態によれば、以下の効果が得られる。
車両本体11を基準とするレーダ装置20の位置の変化を、先端部が隣接するステー40対するレーダ装置20の変位として検出するようにしている。従って、変位検出センサ30を用いて、レーダ装置20の変位を直接的に判定することができる。結果として、第1実施形態によれば、従来技術と比べて、簡易な構成でレーダ装置20の位置ずれの判定を行うことができる。
また、車両本体及びレーダ装置のそれぞれに設けられた加速度センサの検出値を比較してレーダ装置20の位置ずれを判定する従来技術では、2つの加速度センサの検出誤差が判定精度に影響する。しかしながら、第1実施形態によれば、変位検出センサ30単独でレーダ装置20の位置ずれを判定するため、検出誤差の影響が抑制され、判定精度を向上させることができる。結果として、高精度のセンサを必要としないため、コストダウンを図ることができる。
さらにまた、レーダ装置20は、車両本体11に対して外装部品であるバンパ12を介して固定され、ステー40は、車両本体11に対してバンパ12を介さずに固定されている。そして、ステー40が、車両本体11からバンパ12側へ突出する部材として構成されている。これにより、第1実施形態では、衝突等によるバンパの凹みや変位等で、車両本体11を基準とするレーダ装置20の位置が変化した場合にも、車両本体11に対するステー40の位置が変化しにくくなる。したがって、ステー40に対するレーダ装置20の変位を、車両本体11に対するレーダ装置の変位として精度よく検出することができる。
さらにまた、制御部50が実行する変位判定処理では、変位検出センサ30により検出された変位が所定のしきい値以上である場合に、レーダ装置20の位置ずれが生じたと判定する。したがって、第1実施形態では、僅かな位置ずれや検出誤差等によってレーダ装置20の位置ずれが生じたと誤判定されてしまうことを抑制することができる。
また、制御部50が実行する報知処理では、レーダ装置20の車両本体11を基準とする位置が変化したと判定された場合に、車両の乗員に対して報知するための処理を行う。したがって、第1実施形態では、レーダ装置20の位置ずれが生じていることを、車両の乗員に認識させることができる。
なお、第1実施形態では、制御部50が変位判定手段の一例に相当し、ステー40が基準部材の一例に相当し、変位検出センサ30が変位センサの一例に相当し、バンパ12が外装部品の一例に相当する。また、S12が判定手段としての処理の一例に相当し、S14が報知手段としての処理の一例に相当する。 また、上記制御部50、ステー40、変位検出センサ30、及びステップS12が判定装置を構成する。
(第2実施形態)

第2実施形態は、基本的な構成は第1実施形態と同様であるため、共通する構成については説明を省略し、相違点を中心に説明する。

前述した第1実施形態の車両1では、レーダ装置20が、車両本体11に対してバンパ12を介して固定されていた。これに対し、図5に示す第2実施形態の車両2では、レーダ装置20が、連結ステー71、72によって車両本体11に固定されている。
詳細には、車両2には、車両本体11からレーダ装置20側へ延びる2本の棒状の連結ステー71、72が設けられている。連結ステー71、72は、剛性の高い材料であって外力により弾性変形する材料(例えば金属)を用いて形成され、車両本体11とレーダ装置20とを連結するように設けられている。具体的には、連結ステー71、72は、一方の端部が、車両本体11の前部に設けられた取付部111に対して、取付ねじ115、116によって固定され、他方の端部が、レーダ装置20に対して、取付ねじ117、118によって固定されている。連結ステー71、72は、レーダ装置20の筐体における一つの面(この例では側面)と、これと同じ側の取付部111における一つの面(側面)とを接続するように配置されている。
また、第2実施形態では、連結ステー71、72の長手方向の中央部に、連結ステー71、72の歪みを検出する2つの歪センサ81、82が設けられている。ここで、歪センサ81、82に関連する電気的な構成について説明する。図6に示すように、車両2は、前述の歪センサ81、82と、第1実施形態(図2参照)と同様の制御部50及び報知装置60とを備える。
歪センサ81、82は、本実施形態では歪みゲージを用いて連結ステー71、72自体に生じた歪み(変形)を検出し、検出した歪みの大きさに比例した信号(例えば、電圧値を示す信号)を制御部50へ出力する。
すなわち、例えば図5に示すように、連結ステー71、72を用いて車両本体11にレーダ装置20が取り付けられた初期状態(例えば車両2が出荷された時の状態)においては、歪センサ81、82の出力信号(出力値)は、ある一定の値(基準出力値)となる。これに対し、何らかの要因(例えば衝突によるバンパ12の凹みや変位等)によって車両本体11に対するレーダ装置20の位置が変化すると、連結ステー71、72が変形する。このため、歪センサ81、82により検出される歪みの大きさが変化し、歪センサ81、82の出力値が基準出力値から変化する。つまり、第2実施形態では、車両本体11に対するレーダ装置20の変位が、歪センサ81、82により検出される。
図6に示す制御部50(CPU51)は、ROM52に記憶されたプログラムに従って、第1実施形態の変位判定処理(図4参照)に代えて、以下に説明する歪判定処理を実行する。
[処理]
次に、CPU51が実行する歪判定処理について、図7に示すフローチャートを用いて説明する。歪判定処理は、第1実施形態の変位判定処理と同様に、イグニションオンの期間中、所定サイクルで繰り返し実行される。

まず、S20での処理は、歪センサ81、82の出力値を取得する。次にS22での処理は、S20で取得した出力値と基準出力値との差(以下、変位値という)の絶対値が、予め定められたしきい値以上であるか否かを判定する。ここで、2つの歪センサ81、82による変位値のうち、両方の変位値がしきい値以上でない(しきい値未満である)場合、本歪判定処理を終了する。一方、2つの歪センサ81、82による変位値のうち、少なくとも一方の変位値がしきい値以上である場合、S24に移行する。S24での処理は、レーダ装置20に位置ずれが生じたことを報知させるための制御信号を報知装置60へ出力する。そして、本歪判定処理を終了する。
[効果]
以上詳述した第2実施形態によれば、車両本体11を基準とするレーダ装置20の位置の変化を、連結ステー71、72の歪みとして検出しているため、歪センサ81、82を用いて、レーダ装置20の変位を直接的に判定することができる。したがって、第2実施形態によれば、従来技術と比べて、簡易な構成でレーダ装置20の位置ずれの判定を行うことができる。つまり、第2実施形態では、前述した第1実施形態の効果と同様の効果を得ることができる。
以上詳述した第2実施形態によれば、車両本体11を基準とするレーダ装置20の位置の変化を、連結ステー71、72の歪みとして検出しているため、歪センサ81、82を用いて、レーダ装置20の変位を直接的に判定することができる。したがって、第2実施形態によれば、従来技術と比べて、簡易な構成でレーダ装置20の位置ずれの判定を行うことができる。つまり、第2実施形態では、前述した第1実施形態の効果と同様の効果を得ることができる。
なお、第2実施形態では、制御部50が歪判定手段の一例に相当し、連結ステー71、72が連結部材の一例に相当する。また、S22が歪判定手段の処理の一例に相当し、S24が報知手段としての処理の一例に相当する。 また、第2実施形態では、上記制御部50、連結ステー71、72、歪センサ81、82、及びステップS22が判定装置を構成する。
[他の実施形態]
以上、本開示の実施形態について説明したが、本開示は、上記実施形態に限定されることなく、種々の形態を採り得ることは言うまでもない。

[A]上記実施形態では、制御部50は車両本体11側に設けられていたが、制御部50は、レーダ装置20側に設けられていてもよい。また、レーダ装置20の制御部が変位判定処理及び歪判定処理を行う構成としてもよい。
[B]上記実施形態では、車両本体11に固定されたステー40とレーダ装置20との変位を検出する変位検出センサ30として、磁石32及びホール素子31を用いたが、変位検出センサ30は他の構成であってもよい。例えば、ステー40側にスイッチのような電気的接点の一方を設け、レーダ装置20側に電気的接点の他方を設けて、変位検出センサ30を構成してもよい。また、光センサ、レーザ等を用いて、変位検出センサ30を構成してもよい。
[C]上記実施形態では、インストールメントパネルに設けられた表示部を報知装置60として例示したが、報知装置60は他の構成であってもよい。例えば、レーダ装置20の位置ずれを音声によって報知するスピーカや、映像によって報知する画像装置を、報知装置60として構成してもよい。
[D]上記実施形態では、レーダ装置20は外装部品としての前方のバンパ12を介して車両本体11に固定されていたが、レーダ装置20が車両本体11に固定される態様はこれに限るものではない。例えば、レーダ装置20は、外装部品としての後方のバンパを介して車両本体11に固定されていてもよく、外装部品としての車両のドアを介して車両本体11に固定されていてもよい。また、外装部品としてのサイドミラーを介して車両本体11に固定されていてもよく、その他の外装部品を介して車両本体11に固定されていてもよい。また、外装部品を介さずに車両本体11に固定されていてもよい。
[E]上記実施形態では、ステー40は棒状に構成されていたが、これに限るものではない。ステー40は、少なくとも一部がレーダ装置20に隣接するように構成されていればよい。また、ステー40は、上記実施形態(図1)では、レーダ装置20の筐体の下側の面に対向する面を備えるように構成されていた。しかしながら、これに限るものではなく、レーダ装置20の筐体の他の面に対向する面を備えるように構成されていてもよい。また、上記実施形態では、変位検出センサ30が設けられたステー40を1つ備える構成であったが、これに限るものではない。例えば、レーダ装置20の筐体の複数の面に対向するように、変位検出センサ30を設けられた複数のステー40を設けることによって、レーダ装置20の車両本体11に対する変位の検出精度を向上させることができる。
[F]上記実施形態では、連結ステー71、72は棒状に構成されていたが、これに限るものではない。連結ステー71、72は、車両本体11からレーダ装置20へ延びる部材であればよい。例えば、薄い板状であってもよいし、柱状であってもよい。また、上記実施形態は、歪センサが設けられた連結ステーを2つ備える構成であったが、これに限るものではない。歪センサが設けられた連結ステーを1つ備える構成であってもよいし、複数備える構成であってもよい。例えば、レーダ装置20の筐体の複数の面に、歪センサが設けられた連結ステーを設けることによって、レーダ装置20の車両本体11に対する変位の検出精度を向上させることができる。
[G]上記実施形態における1つの構成要素が有する機能を複数の構成要素として分散させたり、複数の構成要素が有する機能を1つの構成要素に統合してもよい。また、上記実施形態の構成の少なくとも一部を、同様の機能を有する公知の構成に置き換えてもよい。また、上記実施形態の構成の一部を、課題を解決できる限りにおいて省略してもよい。また、上記実施形態の構成の少なくとも一部を、他の上記実施形態の構成に対して付加、置換等してもよい。なお、特許請求の範囲に記載の文言から特定される技術思想に含まれるあらゆる態様が本開示の実施形態である。
[H]本開示は、前述した判定装置の他、当該判定装置を構成要素とするシステム、当該判定装置としてコンピュータを機能させるためのプログラム、このプログラムを記録した媒体、判定方法など、種々の形態で実現することができる。

Claims (10)
- 車両本体(11)を含む車両(1)に搭載されたレーダ装置(20)の位置変化を判定する判定装置において、
前記車両本体に固定され、少なくとも一部が前記レーダ装置に隣接するように配置された基準部材(40)と、
前記基準部材に対する前記レーダ装置の変位を検出する変位センサ(30)と、
前記変位センサにより検出された変位に基づいて、前記レーダ装置の前記車両本体を基準とする位置が変化したか否かを判定する変位判定手段(50、S12)と、
を備えることを特徴とする判定装置。 - 請求項1に記載の判定装置であって、
前記レーダ装置は、前記車両本体に対して所定の外装部品(12)を介して固定され、
前記基準部材は、前記車両本体に対して前記外装部品を介さずに固定されている
ことを特徴とする判定装置。 - 請求項2に記載の判定装置であって、
前記基準部材は、前記車両本体から前記外装部品側へ突出する部材である
ことを特徴とする判定装置。 - 請求項2又は請求項3に記載の判定装置であって、
前記外装部品は、バンパであることを特徴とする判定装置。 - 請求項1から請求項4までのいずれか1項に記載の判定装置であって、
前記変位判定手段は、前記変位センサにより検出された変位が所定のしきい値以上である場合に、前記レーダ装置の前記車両本体を基準とする位置が変化したと判定する
ことを特徴とする判定装置。 - 車両本体(11)を含む車両(1)に搭載されたレーダ装置の位置変化を判定する判定装置において、
前記車両本体と前記レーダ装置とを連結する連結部材(71、72)と、
前記連結部材自体の歪みを検出する歪センサ(81、82)と、
前記歪センサにより検出された歪みに基づいて、前記レーダ装置の前記車両本体を基準とする位置が変化したか否かを判定する歪判定手段(50、S22)と、
を備えることを特徴とする判定装置。 - 請求項6に記載の判定装置であって、
前記連結部材は、前記車両本体から前記レーダ装置側へ延びる部材である
ことを特徴とする判定装置。 - 請求項6又は請求項7に記載の判定装置であって、
前記歪判定手段は、前記歪センサにより検出された歪みが所定のしきい値以上である場合に、前記レーダ装置の前記車両本体を基準とする位置が変化したと判定することを特徴とする判定装置。 - 請求項1から請求項8までのいずれか1項に記載の判定装置であって、
前記レーダ装置の前記車両本体を基準とする位置が変化したと判定された場合に、前記車両の乗員に対して報知するための処理を行う報知手段(50、S14、S24)を更に備えることを特徴とする判定装置。 - 車両本体(11)を含む車両(1)に搭載されたレーダ装置の位置変化を判定する判定方法であって、
基準部材(40)と前記基準部材に対する前記レーダ装置の変位を検出する変位センサ(30)とを設け、
前記車両本体に固定され、少なくとも一部が前記レーダ装置に隣接するように前記基準部材(40)を配置し、
前記変位センサの変位を検出し、
前記変位センサにより検出された変位に基づいて、前記レーダ装置の前記車両本体を基準とする位置が変化したか否かを判定することを特徴とする判定方法。
