Abstract
Description
図1及び図2に示すように、本実施形態に係るゴルフクラブは、シャフト20と、その端部に連結されたゴルフクラブヘッド10(以下、単に「ヘッド」ということがある)とを備えている。また、シャフト20とゴルフクラブヘッド10とは、後述する連結構造により連結されており、ヘッド10に対するシャフト20の軸回りの回転位置を変更できるように構成されている。以下、各部材について詳細に説明する。
次に、シャフト20とゴルフクラブヘッド10との連結構造について説明する。図3は、連結構造の分解図である。同図に示すように、この連結構造において、シャフト20とゴルフクラブヘッド10とは、第1アダプタ6及び第2アダプタ7を介して連結されており、これら両アダプタ6,7は、ワッシャ8及び固定具9によって、ゴルフクラブヘッド10に固定されている。以下、この連結構造について詳述する。
まず、ゴルフクラブヘッド10の構造について、図4から図6も参照しつつ説明する。図4は、両アダプタ部6、7、ワッシャ8、及び固定具9が装着されたゴルフクラブヘッド10をヒール側から見た正面図、図5は図4のA-A線断面図、図6は図4のゴルフクラブヘッドをソール部側から見た底面図、図7はホーゼル部の内部空間を示す断面図である。
次に、第1アダプタ6について、図8を参照しつつ説明する。図8Aは第1アダプタの側面図、図8Bは図8Aの断面図である。同図に示すように、第1アダプタ6は、筒状に形成された本体部61を備えており、本体部61の上端部には、径方向外方に突出するフランジ部612が形成されるとともに、本体部61の下端部には、本体部61よりも小径の筒状の連結部62が形成されている。そして、これらは、一体的に形成されている。本体部61は第1軸線X1を軸心とし、この第1軸線X1に沿って円筒状に延びるような外形を有するとともに、上端側に開口するシャフト用凹部611を有している。そして、このシャフト用凹部611は、第1軸線X1と約1度の角度で交差する第2軸線X2に沿って延びる円筒状の内壁面を有しており、このシャフト用凹部611にシャフト20の下端部が挿入される。シャフト20は、接着などでこのシャフト用凹部611に固定される。これにより、シャフト20の軸心S(図1参照)は、第1アダプタ6の第2軸線X2に沿って延び、第1アダプタ6から傾斜して延びるように固定される。
次に、第2アダプタ7について、図9を参照しつつ説明する。図9Aは第2アダプタを上方から見た斜視図、図9Bは第2アダプタの断面図である。これらの図に示すように、第2アダプタ7は、貫通孔71を有するリング状に形成されており、ホーゼル部5の取付孔51の上部に取付けられる。また、第2アダプタ7は、ホーゼル部5の取付孔51、及び第1アダプタ6のフランジ部612とほぼ同径に形成されている。なお、図9Bにおける第2アダプタ7の上端部が本発明の第1の端部に相当し、第2アダプタ7の下端部が本発明の第2の端部に相当する。
次に、上記のように構成されたゴルフクラブの組立て方法について説明する。まず、ホーゼル部5の取付孔51に、第2アダプタ7を取付ける。このとき、第2アダプタ7の回転位置を適宜決定し、所望の回転位置で、取付孔51に配置する。続いて、シャフト20が固定された第1アダプタ6を、第2アダプタ7の貫通孔71に挿入する。このとき、第1アダプタ6の回転位置表示65のいずれかを、第2アダプタ7の基準表示75に位置決めする。なお、第2アダプタ7に第1アダプタ6を挿入し、両アダプタ6、7の位置合わせをした後、第1アダプタ6の本体部61を、取付孔51に挿入することもできる。
以上、本発明の一実施形態について説明したが、本発明は上記実施形態に限定されるものではなく、その趣旨を逸脱しない限りにおいて、種々の変更が可能である。例えば、以下の変更が可能である。
上記実施形態では、ホーゼル部5の突出部53に係合した固定具9により、第1アダプタ6をホーゼル部5の内部空間50に固定した。すなわち、固定具9を強固にネジ留めすることにより、第1アダプタ6を内部空間50で回転しないようにした。したがって、第1アダプタ6は第2アダプタ7に対して無段階で回転位置を変更できるようになっていた。本発明においては、第1アダプタ6がホーゼル部5の内部空間50で回転不能に固定されていれば、その構成は特には限定されないが、例えば、図10~図12に示すような機構で第1アダプタ6を内部空間50に固定することができる。
上記実施形態では、第2アダプタ7を取付孔51に対して、回転可能としているが、例えば、第2アダプタ7と取付孔51とを回転不能に連結してもよい。この場合、第2アダプタ7に凸部を設け、取付孔51に凸部を受ける凹部を設ける。あるいは、これとは反対に、第2アダプタ7に凹部を設け、取付孔51に凸部を設けてもよい。
上記実施形態では、シャフト20を第1アダプタ6に対して1度傾斜させ、さらに第1アダプタ6を第2アダプタ7に対して1度傾斜させているが、この角度は特には限定されない。また、2つの角度を異なるものとしてもよい。
上記実施形態では、ゴルフクラブヘッド10の表面に形成された凹部31を介して、内部空間に通じる下部開口313を臨むようにしているが、この凹部31を塞ぐキャップを設けてもよい。例えば、図13A及び図13Bに示すように、このキャップ85は、凹部31の側面311に沿う側壁面851と、ゴルフクラブヘッド10の外周面に沿う外壁面852と、凹部31の基面312と対向する端面853とで囲まれた形状を有している。側壁面851の軸方向の長さは、凹部31の側面311よりも短く、これによって、凹部31の基面312と端面853との間には隙間が形成される。また、外壁面852と端面853との間には、軸方向に延びる貫通孔854が形成されており、この貫通孔54を介して、キャップ85の外部からレンチなどの工具を挿入することができる。そして、この工具を固定具9の頭部91に係合させ、固定具9をキャップ85を閉じたまま取り外すことができる。この構成により、キャップ85で凹部31が塞がれるため、ヘッド10のデザイン性が向上し、また、固定具9を取り外す際に紛失を防止することができる。
また、第1アダプタ6、第2アダプタ7、取付孔51における回転位置表示52、65、基準表示75は、線で示されているが、これ以外にも図形、数字などで表示することもできるし、あるいは、各アダプタ6,7の一部を加工することもできる。例えば、アダプタの一部を切り欠いたり、または突部を設けるなどすることもできる。また、回転位置表示、基準位置は特には区別されるものではなく、回転位置の位置合わせができれば、特には限定されない。すなわち、何らかの表示がなされていればよく、第1アダプタ6に基準位置を設けることもできる。
上記実施形態では、ホーゼル部5の内部空間50をヘッド10の一部として成形しているが、例えば、図7に示すような、ホーゼル部5を、別体としてゴルフクラブヘッドに取付けられることで構成してもよい。
上記実施形態では、第1アダプタ6の外周面を第1軸線X1と平行に形成し、シャフト用凹部611を第1軸線X1と交差する第2軸線X2に沿って形成しているが、例えば、第1アダプタ6を図14に示すように形成することもできる。同図に示すように、この例では、第1アダプタ6の本体部61を連結部62に対して傾斜させている。すなわち、連結部62を第1軸線X1に沿うように形成し、本体部61の外周面を第2軸線X2に沿って形成している。また、本体部61に形成されるシャフト用凹部611も第2軸線X2に沿って延びるように形成している。このように構成しても、シャフト20の軸線は第2軸線X2に沿うため、シャフト20を第1アダプタ6に対して傾斜して固定することができる。なお、フランジ部612全体が、第2アダプタ7に対して接するようにするため、フランジ部612は、本体部61に対して傾斜した状態で形成されている。
また、図15に示すように、第2アダプタ7の下端部は、下方に突出する球面状に形成することもできる。この場合、ホーゼル部5の取付孔51の周縁は、第2アダプタ7に適合するように、球面状の凹部とすることができる。これにより、第2アダプタ7は、取付孔51に対して角度を変更できるように接触する。
上記のように構成されたゴルフクラブヘッドは、中空構造であるため、2以上の部材を接合することにより製造される。すなわち、中空部に通じる1または2以上の開口が形成されたヘッド本体と、開口を塞ぐ別部材とを接合することで製造される。例えば、クラウン部2やフェース部1のみを別部材で構成して、これをヘッド本体と組み合わせたり、あるいはソール部3やサイド部4に開口を設けたヘッド本体を形成し、この開口を別部材で塞ぐことでヘッドを構成することもできる。そして、このようなヘッド本体は、例えば、公知のロストワックス精密鋳造法などの鋳造によって製造することができる。

Claims (7)
- シャフトと、
ホーゼル部、及び前記ホーゼル部とは反対側に形成され当該ホーゼル部の内部空間に連通する開口部を有し、前記内部空間が前記ホーゼル部におけるシャフトの取付孔に開口する、ゴルフクラブヘッドと、
第1の端部及び第2の端部を有する第1アダプタであって、前記第1の端部側に開口し、前記シャフトと固定されるシャフト用凹部を有するとともに、前記第1の端部に連結部を有し、前記第2の端部が前記取付孔から前記ホーゼル部の内部空間に収容される第1アダプタと、
第1の端部及び第2の端部を有し、前記第1アダプタが貫通する貫通孔が形成されるとともに、少なくとも一部が前記取付孔の外部に配置される第2アダプタと、
前記第1アダプタを、前記ホーゼル部の内部空間に着脱自在に固定する固定部材と、
を備え、
前記シャフトは、前記第1アダプタの連結部に対して傾斜して連結されるように構成され、
前記第1アダプタは、前記第2アダプタに対して傾斜して連結されるように構成され、
前記第1アダプタの連結部と、前記第2アダプタの前記第1の端部とは、軸線回りに回転可能に連結され、
前記第1アダプタは、前記ホーゼル部の内部空間に回転不能に固定されている、ゴルフクラブ。 - 前記第1アダプタは、第1の軸線の両端部に前記第1の端部及び前記第2の端部を有し、当該第1の軸線に沿って筒状に形成され、前記シャフト用凹部は、前記第1の軸線と交差する第2の軸線に沿って延びており、
前記第2アダプタは、第1の軸線の両端部に前記第1の端部及び前記第2の端部を有し、当該第1の軸線に沿って筒状に形成され、前記貫通孔は、前記第1の軸線と交差する第2の軸線に沿って形成されている、請求項1に記載のゴルフクラブ。 - 前記第2アダプタは、リング状に形成されており、前記取付孔に沿って、少なくとも一部が外部に露出するように配置されている、請求項1または2に記載のゴルフクラブ。
- 前記第1アダプタの連結部は、径方向外方に突出するフランジ部により形成されており、
前記フランジ部が、前記第2アダプタの前記第1の端部に連結している、請求項1から3のいずれかに記載のゴルフクラブ。 - 前記ホーゼル部の内部空間に、前記第1アダプタを回転不能に連結する固定用アダプタをさらに備えている、請求項1から4のいずれかに記載のゴルフクラブ。
- 前記固定用アダプタと、前記第1アダプタとはスプライン結合されている、請求項5に記載のゴルフクラブ。
- 前記第1アダプタ、前記第2アダプタ、及び前記取付孔の少なくとも2つには、回転位置を示す表示が施されている、請求項1から6のいずれかに記載のゴルフクラブ。
