Definitions
- the present invention relates to an injection control method and an injection control device.
- thermoplastic resin is injected and formed on a circuit board on which electronic components are mounted, and the whole circuit board is sealed. This technique is used, for example, when manufacturing a thin secondary battery.
- thermoplastic resin When the thermoplastic resin has a low viscosity, turbulence tends to occur when injected into the cavity of the mold, and voids often occur.
- the flow rate is controlled so that turbulent flow does not occur in the mold by detecting the injection pressure of the thermoplastic resin.
- thermoplastic resin Even if the flow rate of the thermoplastic resin is controlled, it is difficult to maintain the ideal flow rate because the viscosity of the thermoplastic resin actually varies depending on various factors such as material lot and resin temperature. Therefore, there is a problem that the total injection amount of the thermoplastic resin into the mold is not stable, and problems such as short shot and overflow occur.
- the present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object thereof is to provide an injection control method and an injection control device for stabilizing the total injection amount of an injection material such as a thermoplastic resin into a mold. .
- the present invention for achieving the above object is an injection control method for controlling an injection means for injecting an injection material into a cavity of a mold, and detects that the injection material reaches a predetermined position away from the injection position in the cavity. And a determination step of determining an injection end time based on the time from the start of injection of the injection material to the detection by the detection step.
- the present invention for achieving the above object is an injection control device, provided with an injection means for injecting an injection material into a cavity of a mold, and provided at a position away from a position at which the injection material is injected in the cavity, Detection means for detecting arrival of the injection material, and determination means for determining an injection end time based on a time from the start of injection of the hot melt material to detection by the detection means.
- the injection end time is determined based on the time until the injection material reaches a predetermined position away from the injection position.

- FIG. 6 is a view showing a cross section taken along line VII-VII in FIGS. 3 and 5.
- FIG. 1 is a schematic configuration diagram of an injection control system 1 according to the present embodiment.
- Injection control system 1 is a system for producing a molded product by injection molding, and as the molded product, for example, a reinforcing member for reinforcing a desired object is produced. This embodiment demonstrates the case where a battery cell is reinforced as a target object.

- the injection control system 1 places a battery cell 100 inside the mold apparatus 10 and injects a molten material melted into the mold apparatus 10 as an injection material to produce a molded product around the battery cell 100. . Details of the battery cell, the molded product, and the like will be described later. First, the outline of each component of the injection control system 1 will be described.
- the mold apparatus 10 has an upper mold and a lower mold, and accommodates the battery cell 100 therein by combining the upper and lower molds. A cavity into which an injection material is injected is formed around the battery cell 100, and a molded product can be produced around the battery cell 100 according to the shape of the cavity. Details of the mold apparatus 10 will be described later.
- the injection material supply source 20 is a supply source of the injection material injected into the mold apparatus 10.
- the injection material supply source 20 is a tank that can accommodate the injection material.
- the pressure feeding device 30 is connected to the injection material supply source 20, and pumps the injection material accommodated in the injection material supply source 20 to the removal device 40.
- the pumping device 30 can adjust the amount of injection material (also referred to as “supply amount”) to be pumped to the removing device 40.
- the pressure feeding device 30 can also stop the pressure feeding to the removing device 40 (set the supply amount to “0”).
- a hydraulic drive pump for example, a gear pump
- the present invention is not limited to this, and an air-driven pump or the like may be used.
- the removal device 40 is a filter that is provided between the pressure feeding device 30 and the discharge device 70 and removes foreign matters contained in the injection material pressure-fed from the pressure feeding device 30.
- a filter a stainless steel leaf disk filter is preferably used, and as the filter element, a fiber type, a powder type, or a composite type thereof is preferably used.
- the air supply source 50 is a supply source that supplies air to the discharge device 70.
- the air supply source 50 is an air compressor that compresses and outputs air by the rotation of a motor.

- the present invention is not limited to this, and an electric valve driven by a motor may be used.
- the discharge device 70 discharges the injection material supplied from the injection material supply source 20 into the cavity of the mold apparatus 10 while adjusting the discharge amount by the pressure of the air supplied from the air supply source 50. If the opening / closing degree of the electric drive valve 60 is increased, the pressure of the air supplied from the air supply source 50 also increases, and the discharge amount per unit time of the discharge device 70 can be increased. Conversely, if the degree of opening and closing of the electrically driven valve 60 is reduced, the discharge amount per unit time of the discharge device 70 can be reduced. Further, if the degree of opening and closing of the electrically driven valve 60 is made constant, the discharge amount per unit time of the discharge device 70 can be made constant. When the electric drive valve 60 is closed, the pressure of the air supplied from the air supply source 50 disappears, and the injection from the discharge device 70 to the cavity portion 17 stops.
- the sensor 80 is attached to the mold apparatus 10 and detects the flow of the injection material. The detection result by the sensor 80 is sequentially transmitted to the injection control device 90. Details of the sensor 80 will be described later.
- the injection control device 90 is connected to the mold device 10, the pressure feeding device 30, the electric drive valve 60, and the sensor 80, and controls each component. For example, the injection control device 90 controls the opening and closing of the mold of the mold device 10, adjusts the supply amount of the injection material to be pumped from the pumping device 30 to the removing device 40, and opens and closes the valve of the electric drive valve 60. Adjust the degree.
- the injection control device 90 measures the injection time of the injection material, and predicts the optimal time (hereinafter also referred to as “injection end time”) at which injection of the injection material should be ended based on the detection result of the sensor 80. (decide.

- the exterior is sandwiched between two laminate sheets from both sides in the stacking direction of the battery elements, and the edges are welded together to seal the battery elements. Since the outer periphery of the battery cell 100 is a fused laminate sheet, it is soft and easily deformed during handling or when the battery cells 100 are stacked.
- the injection control system 1 forms the reinforcing member 150 shown in FIG.
- the reinforcing member 150 is manufactured so as to cover the thin outer periphery of the rectangular battery cell 100.
- FIG. 3 is a schematic external view of the mold apparatus
- FIG. 4 is a bottom view of the upper mold constituting the mold apparatus
- FIG. 5 is a view showing a state in which the injection material is filled in the upper mold. 3 to 5, illustration of the battery cells arranged in the mold is omitted.
- 6 is a cross-sectional view taken along line VI-VI in FIGS. 3 and 5
- FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view taken along line VII-VII in FIGS.
- the mold apparatus 10 includes a lower mold 11 that is a fixed mold and an upper mold 12 that is a movable mold that moves up and down by a drive mechanism (not shown).
- the lower mold 11 and the upper mold 12 are formed with storage portions 13a and 13b that can store the battery cells 100, respectively.
- the storage section 13 is formed by the storage section 13a and the storage section 13b.
- the lower mold 11 and the upper mold 12 are provided with an inlet and a cavity for injecting an injection material into the mold.
- an inlet 14 and a cavity 15 are formed.
- the lower mold 11 is also provided with at least a cavity 15 at a position corresponding to the upper mold 12.
- the cavity 15 is formed to match the shape of the desired reinforcing member 150.
- the flow ends B and B ' are portions where the flow of the injection material stops, that is, the end portions filled with the injection material.
- the injection material passes through the predetermined position C and reaches the flow end B, and reaches the flow end B '.
- the shape of the reinforcing member 150 shown in FIGS. 5 to 7 is obtained.
- the reinforcement member 150 is formed so that the edge part of the battery cell 100 may be covered, as shown in FIG.
- the injection position A is preferably the position of the center of gravity of the injection material (reinforcing member 150) when it is assumed that the cavity 15 is filled with the injection material.
- the injection position A and the injection port 14 at such a position, when there are a plurality of flow ends B and B ′ at which the flow of the injection material stops, the injection material is present at each of the flow ends B and B ′.
- the time to reach can be approximately equal. Therefore, the injection material can be injected into the entire cavity 15 without deviation. As a result, even though the injection material reaches one of the flow ends B and B ′, the injection material is not further injected toward the flow ends B and B ′. It is possible to reduce the load on the mold apparatus 10 by being injected into the mold.
- the sensor 80 will be described. As shown in FIGS. 4 and 7, the sensor 80 is provided in the upper mold 12 so as to be exposed toward the cavity 15, in other words, in contact with the injection material at the time of injection. As many sensors 80 as the number of independent cavities 15 are provided. The sensor 80 detects that the injection material reaches the predetermined position C away from the injection position A in the cavity 15.
- the predetermined position C where the sensor 80 is provided is preferably a position between the injection position A and the flow end B as shown in FIG.
- between the injection position A and the flow end B is defined as a range from the position where 10% is injected to the position where 90% is injected out of the total volume from the injection position A to the flow end B.
- the present invention is not limited to this, and an arbitrary range may be used, but the sensor 80 is not provided at the injection position A and the flow end B.
- the sensor 80 If the sensor 80 is provided in the vicinity of the flow end B, the sensor 80 is far from the injection position A. Therefore, when the injection material reaches the position of the sensor 80, the temperature decreases. At this time, the injection control device 90 cannot accurately grasp the time when the injection material reaches the position of the sensor 80 based on the detection result of the sensor 80. For this reason, even if the injection control device 90 predicts the optimum time to end the injection of the injection material, the prediction error may increase. In addition, even if the injection material is detected in the vicinity of the flow end B, the remaining capacity up to the flow end B is small and there is no room for controlling the injection amount.
- the time until the injection material reaches the predetermined position C becomes extremely short. Even if the injection control device 90 predicts the time to end the injection of the injection material based on the detection result of the sensor 80 as described above, there is a high possibility that the subsequent injection does not proceed as expected, and the prediction error increases. There is. Therefore, as in the present embodiment, by providing the sensor 80 at a position between the injection position A and the flow end B, it is possible to accurately predict the optimal time at which the injection of the injection material should be completed.
- the senor 80 is preferably provided at the position of an ejector pin for releasing the molded product from the mold apparatus 10.
- the mold apparatus 10 for example, the upper mold 12
- it is inexpensive by a simple method of simply inserting the sensor 80 into the hole for the existing ejector pin. Can be installed.
- the senor 80 is comprised by at least any one of a temperature sensor, a pressure sensor, and a fiber sensor, for example.
- the sensor 80 transmits the detected temperature of the injection material to the injection control device 90 as a sensor value.
- the sensor 80 transmits the detected pressure value to the injection control device 90 as a sensor value.
- the sensor 80 is a fiber sensor, the sensor 80 transmits the detected light amount to the injection control device 90 as a sensor value.
- the injection control device 90 controls the injection amount of the injection material into the cavity 15 of the mold apparatus 10.
- the injection control device 90 has a timer for measuring the elapsed time from the start of injection of the injection material, and the injection material injected from the injection position A reaches the predetermined position C based on the sensor value from the sensor 80. Measure the elapsed time until Then, the injection control device 90 determines an injection end time during which an injection material of an injection amount necessary and sufficient to produce a molded product (for example, the reinforcing member 150) can be injected based on the measured elapsed time.
- the necessary and sufficient injection amount refers to the total injection amount into the cavity 15 to such an extent that the above-described problems such as short shot and overflow do not occur.
- the obtained relational expression F is a quadratic function.
- the relational expression F can be obtained by repeating trial manufacture of a molded product using injection materials having different viscosities such as low viscosity, medium viscosity, and high viscosity.
- injection material a material whose viscosity value is the lower limit within the specification
- injection material a material whose viscosity value is the upper limit within the specification
- the injection control apparatus 10 obtains the relational expression F between the arrival time X and the injection end time Y by the method as described above, and registers it in advance in a storage unit (not shown).
- FIG. 9 is a flowchart showing the procedure of the manufacturing process of the molded product executed in the injection control device.
- FIG. 10 is a graph showing the relationship between the injection time of the injection material and the actual injection amount.
- Step S101 the injection control device 90 sets an injection time (hereinafter referred to as “target end time T”) from the start to the end of injection of the injection material before the production of the molded product.
- the target end time T may be calculated automatically by the injection control device 90 based on the injection conditions (viscosity, temperature, etc.) of the injection material, or may be manually input by the user.
- Step S102 The injection controller 90 starts injecting the injection material into the cavity 15 of the mold apparatus 10. Specifically, the injection control device 90 transmits an instruction signal to open the electrically driven valve 60 with a predetermined opening / closing degree.
- the electrically driven valve 60 When the electrically driven valve 60 is opened, injection into the cavity 15 is started. However, the degree of opening and closing of the electrically driven valve 60 is made constant, and the discharge amount of the injection material per unit time by the discharge device 70 is made constant. Nevertheless, the injection amount per unit time that is actually injected into the cavity 15 varies depending on the characteristics of the injection material (viscosity, etc.), the usage environment of the injection control system 1, and the like. For example, as shown in FIG. 10, the injection amount actually injected into the cavity 15 with respect to the injection time is not necessarily proportional, and the injection amount per unit time (corresponding to the slope of the graph) depends on the viscosity of the injection material. Change.
- the target end time T is set by predicting injection as in the broken line graph of FIG.
- the time P1 when the sensor 80 detects the arrival of the injected material may be later than the time P0 predicted in advance.
- the injection material has a higher viscosity than expected (high viscosity material). Therefore, if the injection is terminated at the target end time T as originally scheduled, the target injection amount of the injection material cannot be injected, resulting in a short shot (“ ⁇ ” in FIG. 10).
- the time P2 when the sensor 80 detects the arrival of the injected material may actually be earlier than the preset time P0 predicted in advance.
- the injection material has a lower viscosity than expected (low viscosity material). Therefore, if the injection is terminated at the target end time T as originally scheduled, an injection material larger than the target injection amount is injected, resulting in an overflow (“ ⁇ ” in FIG. 10).
- the injection control device 90 confirms the actual injection status in the middle of the injection, and changes (corrects) the injection end time according to the injection status.
- Step S103 the injection control device 90 first measures an arrival time X from when injection of injection material is started until the injection material reaches a predetermined position C (see FIG. 4) of the cavity 15.
- the injection control device 90 operates a timer simultaneously with the start of injection of the injection material.
- the injection control device 90 monitors the sensor value transmitted from the sensor 16 and detects that the injection material has reached the predetermined position C when the sensor value changes by a predetermined value or more.
- the injection control device 90 refers to the timer value when it is detected that the injection material has reached the predetermined position C, and measures the arrival time X from the start of injection until the injection material reaches the predetermined position C.
- Step S104 Subsequently, the injection control device 90 reads the relational expression F registered in advance from the storage unit, and substitutes the arrival time X measured in step S103 into the relational expression F. Thereby, the injection control device 90 is required to obtain an optimal injection end time Y for producing a molded product having no defect in accordance with the actual injection state in the injection (shot) of the injection material this time.
- Step S105 the injection control device 90 changes (corrects) the injection end time from the target end time T set in step S101 to the injection end time Y determined in step S104.
- the injection control device 90 delays the injection end time from T to Y1.
- the injection control device 90 advances the injection end time from T to Y2. .
- Step S106 Thereafter, the injection control device 90 does not change the discharge amount of the injection material per unit time by the discharge device 70, and continues the injection of the injection material as it is.
- the electric drive is performed.
- the valve 60 is controlled to close and the injection is terminated. Thereby, an injection material of a sufficient injection amount (total injection amount) necessary for producing a molded product free from defects can be injected into the cavity 15 regardless of the characteristics of the injection material and the use environment of the injection control system 1.

Abstract
