Abstract
본 명세서는, 이동 단말기에 관한 것으로, 좀 더 구체적으로 사용자의 손목 부위에 착용되어 상기 손목 부위에 항상 접촉 가능하도록 형성된 본체를 구비하고, 차량에 설치된 차량 제어 장치로부터 획득된 차량 정보를 외부에 출력하는 이동 단말기 및 그 제어 방법을 제공한다. 특히, 본 명세서는, 상기 이동 단말기의 위치에 따라 상기 차량의 목적지에 도달하기 위한 주행 방향을 실시간으로 산출하고, 상기 산출된 주행 방향을 나타내는 화살표를 턴-바이-턴(TBT: Turn By Turn) 방식으로 화면에 표시하는 방식으로 네비게이션(navigation) 기능을 제공하는 이동 단말기 및 그것의 제어 방법을 제공한다. 이를 위하여, 일 실시예에 따른 이동 단말기는, 사용자의 손목 부위에 착용되어 사용되는 시계형 이동 단말기이며, 차량에 설치된 차량 제어 장치와 통신을 수행하는 통신부, 상기 사용자의 손목 부위에 착용되어 상기 손목 부위에 항상 접촉 가능하도록 형성된 본체, 상기 본체에 구비된 출력부 및 상기 차량 제어 장치로부터 획득된 상기 차량에 대한 차량 정보를 외부에 출력하도록 상기 출력부를 제어하는 제어부를 포함하되, 상기 출력부는, 상기 차량 정보를 화면에 표시하거나, 상기 본체의 진동 또는 음성의 형태로 외부로 출력할 수 있다. 또한, 상기 이동 단말기는, 상기 이동 단말기의 위치를 검출하는 위치 검출부를 더 포함할 수 있으며, 상기 제어부는, 상기 이동 단말기의 위치에 따라 상기 차량의 목적지에 도달하기 위한 주행 방향을 실시간으로 산출하고, 상기 산출된 주행 방향을 나타내는 화살표를 턴-바이-턴(TBT: Turn By Turn) 방식으로 화면에 표시하도록 상기 출력부를 제어할 수 있다.
