Abstract

 本発明のアクリルシートは(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物からなる。(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物はメタクリル酸メチルに由来する構造単位を50~100質量%の比率で有する(メタ)アクリル樹脂100質量部を含有する。(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物はさらに、炭化水素、脂肪酸、脂肪族アルコール、脂肪酸エステル、脂肪酸アミド、及び金属石鹸からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種以上の化合物(X)0.01~5質量部を含有する。

Description

(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物及びアクリルシート
 本発明は、(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物及びアクリルシートに関する。
 (メタ)アクリル樹脂は(メタ)アクリル酸エステルに由来する構造単位を有する樹脂である。(メタ)アクリル樹脂は透明性に優れることから、これを含むアクリルシートは表示装置などの透明保護シート、カーポートなどの透明屋根部材、照明器具カバーなどの用途に適する。
 アクリルシートの製造方法としては、例えば、セルキャスト法、射出成形法、押出成形法が知られている。セルキャスト法は、2枚のガラス板の間に(メタ)アクリル酸エステルを封入し、重合しながらシート状に成形する方法である。射出成形法は、加熱溶融した(メタ)アクリル樹脂を金型内に射出充填し、金型内で固化させる方法である。押出成形法は、押出機により加熱溶融した(メタ)アクリル樹脂をTダイといわれる幅広形状の吐出口から押し出し、一対の冷却ロールで挟んでシート状に冷却固化する方法である。
 上記のようにして製造されたアクリルシートは、用途に応じた寸法、形状に加工可能である。加工の例としては、ルータビット、又は丸のこ、若しくは帯のこなどの工具による切断加工やドリルやルータビットなどの工具による穴あけ加工が挙げられる。
 アクリルシートの加工において、アクリルシートと工具との摩擦熱により(メタ)アクリル樹脂が溶融する場合がある。このとき、(メタ)アクリル樹脂の欠けや、溶融した(メタ)アクリル樹脂の再融着が起こりやすく、これらに伴いアクリルシートの外観品質が損なわれるという問題がある。また溶融した(メタ)アクリル樹脂が工具に融着する場合があり、かかる融着物を除去する必要があるため、生産性の低下を招く。
 特許文献1に記載の方法は、アクリルシートと切断用刃の間に潤滑材を介在させて該アクリルシートを切断するものである。この方法によって、アクリルシートの切断後の割れや、切断用刃の清掃頻度を軽減できる。
 しかしながら、かかる方法によっても(メタ)アクリル樹脂の再融着による外観品質の低下はなお見られた。また、切断の都度、潤滑材を追加する必要があった。このため生産性に関して、なお向上させる余地があった。

 本発明の目的は、外観品質の低下を伴わず、生産性よく加工できるアクリルシートおよび該アクリルシートに好適な(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物を提供することにある。
 本発明は
[1] メタクリル酸メチルに由来する構造単位を50~100質量%の比率で有する(メタ)アクリル樹脂100質量部、
 並びに炭化水素、脂肪酸、脂肪族アルコール、脂肪酸エステル、脂肪酸アミド、及び金属石鹸からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種以上の化合物(X)0.01~5質量部を含有する(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物;
[2] 前記化合物(X)は、少なくとも脂肪酸エステル及び脂肪族アルコールを含み、
 前記脂肪族アルコールの前記脂肪酸エステルに対する比率が5~40質量%である、
 上記[1]の(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物;
[3] 前記脂肪族アルコールの前記脂肪酸エステルに対する比率が20~40質量%である、
 上記[2]の(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物;
[4] 前記脂肪族アルコールの融点は前記脂肪酸エステルよりも5℃以上低い、
 上記[2]又は[3]の(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物;
[5] 前記脂肪酸エステルは炭素数16~22の脂肪酸、及びグリセリンに由来する脂肪酸モノグリセライドであり、
 前記脂肪族アルコールは、炭素数12~18の脂肪族アルコールである、
 上記[4]の(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物;
[6] 前記脂肪酸は飽和脂肪酸であり、
 前記脂肪族アルコールは飽和脂肪族アルコールである、
 上記[5]の(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物;
[7] (メタ)アクリル樹脂100質量部に対し、前記脂肪酸モノグリセライドは0.01~3.5質量部である、
 上記[5]又は[6]の(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物;
[8] (メタ)アクリル樹脂100質量部に対し、前記脂肪族アルコールは、0.004~1.4質量部である、
 上記[5]~[7]のいずれかの(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物;
[9] 上記[1]~[8]のいずれかの(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物からなる、アクリルシート;並びに
[10] 端面を切削加工した時のJIS B 0601(2001)の条件で測定した算術平均粗さRaが0.1μm~2.4μmの範囲である、
 上記[9]のアクリルシート;
を提供することで、上記目的を達成する。
 本発明のアクリルシートは、切削、穴あけなどの加工において、(メタ)アクリル樹脂の工具への融着が抑制でき、また潤滑材の添加も不要なので生産性が改善される。また、該加工に伴う外観品質の低下を抑制できる。本発明の(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物は、かかるアクリルシートに好適である。
[(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物の実施形態]
 本発明の(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物は、メタクリル酸メチルに由来する構造単位を50~100質量%の比率で有する(メタ)アクリル樹脂100質量部、並びに炭化水素、脂肪酸、脂肪族アルコール、脂肪酸エステル、脂肪酸アミド、及び金属石鹸からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種以上の化合物(X)0.01~5質量部を含有する。
<(メタ)アクリル樹脂>
 本発明の(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物に含有される(メタ)アクリル樹脂が有するメタクリル酸メチルに由来する構造単位の含有量は(メタ)アクリル樹脂の50質量%以上であり、70質量%以上が好ましく、90質量%以上がより好ましく、98質量%がさらに好ましく、100質量%であってもよい。
 上記(メタ)アクリル樹脂は、本発明の(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物が含む樹脂成分のうち、90質量%以上を占めることが好ましく、95質量%以上を占めることがより好ましく、98質量%以上を占めることがさらに好ましく、100質量%を占めてもよい。
 (メタ)アクリル樹脂が有していてもよい他の構造単位としてはメタクリル酸メチルと共重合可能な重合性単量体に由来する構造単位が挙げられる。
 かかる重合性単量体としては、メタクリル酸メチル以外のメタクリル酸エステル、アクリル酸エステル、アクリルアミド、メタクリルアミド、アクリロニトリル、メタクリロニトリル、スチレン、及びα-メチルスチレンからなる群から選択される少なくとも1種以上の化合物が好ましい。
 メタクリル酸メチル以外のメタクリル酸エステルとしては、メタクリル酸エチル、メタクリル酸プロピル、メタクリル酸ブチル、メタクリル酸2-エチルヘキシル、メタクリル酸フェニル、メタクリル酸シクロへキシル、メタクリル酸ノルボルネニル、メタクリル酸ベンジルなどが挙げられる。
 アクリル酸エステルとしては、アクリル酸メチル、アクリル酸エチル、アクリル酸プロピル、アクリル酸ブチル、アクリル酸2-エチルへキシル、アクリル酸フェニル、アクリル酸シクロへキシル、アクリル酸ノルボルネニルなどが挙げられる。
 (メタ)アクリル樹脂は、メタクリル酸メチルおよび任意成分である上記メタクリル酸メチルと共重合可能な重合性単量体を重合することで得られる。(メタ)アクリル樹脂の重合方法としては例えば懸濁重合、塊状重合を採用できる。
<他の樹脂成分>
 本発明の(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物は、メタクリル酸メチルに由来する構造単位を50~100質量%の比率で有する(メタ)アクリル樹脂以外の他の樹脂成分を含有していてもよい。かかる他の樹脂成分としては、熱可塑性樹脂及び/又は熱硬化性樹脂が好ましい。
 上記した熱可塑性樹脂としては、メタクリル酸メチルに由来する構造単位を50質量%未満の比率で有する(メタ)アクリル樹脂;ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレンなどのポリオレフィン;ポリアミド;ポリフェニレンサルファイド;ポリエーテルエーテルケトン;ポリエステル;ポリスルホン;ポリフェニレンオキサイド;ポリイミド;ポリエーテルイミド;ポリアセタール;などが挙げられる。
 上記した熱硬化性樹脂としては、フェノール樹脂、メラミン樹脂、シリコン樹脂、及びエポキシ樹脂などが挙げられる。
 これら他の樹脂成分は1種を単独で用いても、複数種を併用してもよい。
<化合物(X)>
 本発明の(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物に含有される化合物(X)は、炭化水素、脂肪酸、脂肪族アルコール、脂肪酸エステル、脂肪酸アミド、及び金属石鹸からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種以上の化合物である。
 本発明の化合物(X)の含有量は、(メタ)アクリル樹脂100質量部に対して0.01~5質量部であり、0.014~4.9質量部であることが好ましく、0.02~1質量部であることがより好ましく、0.04~0.6質量部であることがさらに好ましく、0.06~0.2質量部であることが特に好ましい。なお、上記含有量は、2種以上の化合物(X)を併用する場合、併用するすべての化合物(X)の合計量である。
 かかる含有量がこの範囲より多いと、高温環境において化合物(X)がブリードアウトして、アクリルシートの表面がべたつく場合がある。また本発明の(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物の成形品の表面に印刷や真空蒸着、接着などの後加工を実施した場合、印刷塗料や蒸着膜、接着部が表面よりはがれやすくなる場合がある。一方、化合物(X)の含有量が、上記範囲より少ないと、効果が不十分な場合がある。
 化合物(X)は、アクリルシートの加工において、アクリルシートと工具との摩擦熱を抑制することで、(メタ)アクリル樹脂の工具への融着及びアクリルシートの外観品質の低下を抑制できると考えられる。化合物(X)の融点は、30~100℃の範囲が好ましく、40~80℃の範囲がより好ましく、45~75℃の範囲がさらに好ましい。
 化合物(X)の融点が30℃未満であると、使用中に化合物(X)がブリードアウトして、アクリルシートの表面がべたつく場合がある。また、化合物(X)の融点が100℃を超えると、(メタ)アクリル樹脂の工具への融着及びアクリルシートの外観品質の低下を抑制する効果が不十分となる場合がある。
 化合物(X)として用いる炭化水素としては脂肪族炭化水素が好ましい。脂肪族炭化水素としては、流動パラフィン、マイクロクリスタリンワックス、天然パラフィン、合成パラフィン、及びポリオレフィンワックスなどが挙げられる。かかる脂肪族炭化水素は平均炭素数12以上であることが好ましい。また炭化水素としては、これら脂肪族炭化水素の部分酸化物、ハロゲン化物であってもよい。
 化合物(X)として用いる脂肪酸としては、ラウリン酸、パルミチン酸、ステアリン酸、ベヘン酸、オレイン酸、及びエルカ酸等の炭素数12以上の脂肪酸が好ましく、パルミチン酸、ステアリン酸、ベヘン酸、オレイン酸、及びエルカ酸などの炭素数16~24の脂肪酸がより好ましく、パルミチン酸、ステアリン酸、ベヘン酸などの炭素数16~24の飽和脂肪酸がさらに好ましい。また、ヒドロキシルステアリン酸のような水酸基を有する脂肪酸も好ましい。
 かかる脂肪酸としては、動物油、植物油、鉱物系ワックスなどの油脂に含有されるものも用いることができる。動物油としては、牛脂、魚油などが挙げられる。植物油としては、ヤシ油、大豆油、ナタネ油、米ぬかワックスなどが挙げられる。鉱物系ワックスとしては、モンタンワックス、オゾケライト、セレシン、及びオイルシェルなどが挙げられる。
 化合物(X)として用いる脂肪族アルコールとしては、ラウリルアルコール、パルミチルアルコール、ステアリルアルコール、オレイルアルコールなどの炭素数12~18の脂肪族アルコール好ましく、ラウリルアルコール、パルミチルアルコール、ステアリルアルコールなどの炭素数12~18の飽和脂肪族アルコールがより好ましく、パルミチルアルコール、ステアリルアルコールなどの炭素数16~18の飽和脂肪族アルコールがさらに好ましい。かかる脂肪族アルコールは、上述の、動物油、植物油、鉱物系ワックスなどの油脂に含有されるものも用いることができる。
 化合物(X)として用いる脂肪酸エステルとしては、上記脂肪酸と上記アルコールを含む1価又は多価のアルコールとに由来するエステルが好ましい。該脂肪酸エステルを形成する上記脂肪酸は飽和脂肪酸が好ましく、上記アルコールは飽和アルコールが好ましい。該アルコールはとしては、ブタノール、ラウリルアルコール、パルミチルアルコール、ステアリルアルコール、ベヘニルアルコール、又はオレイルアルコールなどの1価アルコール;エチレングリコール、グリセリン、ソルビトールなどの多価アルコール;が挙げられる。このうち、上記脂肪酸と上記多価アルコールとの部分エステルが好ましく、炭素数16~22の脂肪酸、及びグリセリンに由来する脂肪酸モノグリセライドがより好ましい。
 化合物(X)として用いる脂肪酸アミドとしては、上記脂肪酸のアミド、又はビスアミドが挙げられる。かかる脂肪酸アミドとしては、ラウリン酸アミド、パルミチン酸アミド、ステアリン酸アミド、ベヘン酸アミド、ヒドロキシルステアリン酸アミド、オレイン酸アミド、エルカ酸アミド、N-オレイルパルミチン酸アミド、N-ステアリルステアリン酸アミド、N-ステアリルオレイン酸アミド、N-オレイルステアリン酸アミド、N-ステアリルエルカ酸アミド、メチロールステアリン酸アミド、メチレンビスステアリン酸アミド、メチレンビスカプリン酸アミド、及びエチレンビスラウリン酸アミドからなる群から選択される少なくとも1種以上の化合物が好ましい。
 化合物(X)として用いる金属石鹸としては、ステアリン酸バリウム、ステアリン酸カルシウム、ステアリン酸マグネシウム、ステアリン酸亜鉛、及びステアリン酸アルミニウム等の、上記した脂肪酸とアルカリ土類金属又は典型金属の塩が挙げられる。
 化合物(X)は、一種を単独で用いても、二種以上を併用してもよいが、二種以上を併用することが好ましい。二種以上の化合物(X)を併用する場合、該二種以上の化合物(X)の融点は互いに5℃以上異なることが好ましく、10℃以上異なることがより好ましい。かかる融点の差異によって、アクリルシートの加工において、幅広い加工条件で、アクリルシートと工具との摩擦熱を抑制でき、アクリル樹脂の工具への融着及びアクリルシートの外観品質の低下を抑制する観点から有利となる。
 化合物(X)は、脂肪酸エステルを含有することが好ましく、脂肪族アルコールを併せて含有することがより好ましい。化合物(X)が脂肪酸エステルと脂肪族アルコールを併せて含有する場合、脂肪酸エステルと脂肪族アルコールの合計量は、化合物(X)の80質量%以上であることが好ましく、90質量%以上であることがより好ましく、95質量%以上であることがさらに好ましい。また、脂肪族アルコールの脂肪酸エステルに対する比率は5~40質量%が好ましく、20~40質量%も好ましく、10~30質量%がより好ましく、20~25質量%がさらに好ましい。また、脂肪族アルコールの融点は前記脂肪酸エステルの融点よりも5℃以上低いことが好ましく、10℃以上低いことがより好ましい。かかる組成比及び融点の組み合わせを有する化合物(X)は、幅広い加工条件で、アクリルシートと工具との摩擦熱を抑制でき、アクリル樹脂の工具への融着及びアクリルシートの外観品質の低下を抑制する観点から有利となる。
 化合物(X)として、脂肪酸エステルと脂肪族アルコールを併用する場合の好ましい組み合わせの例として、脂肪酸エステルとして、上記した脂肪酸及びグリセリンに由来する脂肪酸モノグリセライドを用いて、かつ、脂肪族アルコールとして、好ましくは炭素数12~18の、より好ましくは炭素数12~16の脂肪族アルコールを用いることが挙げられる。この場合、(メタ)アクリル樹脂100質量部に対する上記脂肪酸モノグリセライドの使用量は、0.01~3.5質量部の範囲が好ましく、0.015~0.7質量部の範囲がより好ましく、0.03~0.4質量部の範囲がさらに好ましく、0.04~0.15質量部の範囲が特に好ましい。また、(メタ)アクリル樹脂100質量部に対する上記脂肪族アルコールの使用量は、0.004~1.4質量部の範囲が好ましく、0.007~0.3質量部の範囲がより好ましく、0.01~0.2質量部の範囲がさらに好ましく、0.02~0.05質量部の範囲が特に好ましい。
 また脂肪族アルコールの脂肪酸モノグリセライドに対する比率は5~40質量%の範囲が好ましく、10~30質量%の範囲がより好ましい。グリセリンの脂肪酸モノグリセライドに対する比率が40質量%を超えると脂肪族アルコールがブリードアウトして、アクリルシートの表面がべたつく場合がある。また押出成形法でシートを製造した時、40質量%を超える比率では、溶融、混練、吐出の各工程で問題を生じ、安定的に製造できない場合がある。
<アクリルシートの耐熱性>
 (メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物の耐熱性が高いと熱融着にかかわる問題が生じにくいため好ましい。耐熱性の指標としては、例えば、ビカット軟化温度(JIS K7206またはISO 306(B50)で規定される)が挙げられる。
 本実施形態で用いられる(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物のビカット軟化温度は90~120℃の範囲が好ましく、95~115℃の範囲がより好ましく、100~115℃の範囲がさらにより好ましく、101~110℃の範囲がさらに好ましい。
 90℃より低いと熱融着にかかわる問題が生じやすい。120℃より高いと、(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物が脆くなる傾向があり、工具による加工の際、欠けやひび割れなどの外観品質の低下が生じやすい。
<(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物の製造>
 (メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物は、(メタ)アクリル樹脂を重合した後、該樹脂を加熱溶融して化合物(X)を混練する溶融混練法によって製造してもよい。また(メタ)アクリル樹脂を重合する工程において重合性単量体と化合物(X)とを混合した後重合して製造してもよい。また重合工程において化合物(X)を加えた後、同一種または異種の化合物(X)をさらに溶融混練法によって加えて製造してもよい。
[アクリルシートの実施形態]
 以下、本実施形態のアクリルシートの特性、及びアクリルシートに適した(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物の物性を示す。本実施形態のアクリルシートは、端面を切削加工したときのJIS B 0601(2001)の条件で測定した算術平均粗さRaが0.1~2.4μmの範囲であることが好ましい。
<アクリルシートの製造>
 本発明のアクリルシートは通常の成形方法で製造することができる。例えばセルキャスト法、射出成形法、押出成形法を採用でき、なかでも連続的に成形できる押出成形法が生産性の点で好ましい。
 本発明のアクリルシートを押出成形法で製造する場合、用いられる(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物における化合物(X)の使用量は(メタ)アクリル樹脂100質量部に対して合計で0.01~1質量部の範囲が好ましい。この範囲より大きいと押出成形機のスクリューの回転が不安定になるなどの問題を生じる場合がある。また、押出機の冷却ロールに化合物(X)が付着してアクリルシートの外観に問題を生じる場合がある。
 また、本発明のアクリルシートを押出成形法で製造する場合、用いられる(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物は、ISO 1133で規定されるそのメルトフローレイト(MFR(230℃、37.3N))の範囲が、0.2~20(g/10分)であることが好ましく、0.5~15(g/10分)の範囲であることがより好ましく、1~10(g/10分)の範囲であることが特に好ましい。この範囲以外であると、押出成形において、溶融した(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物をTダイから吐出したときに重力で垂れ下がってシート成形に不具合を生じたり、又は配管内の圧力が過大になったりするなどの問題を生じ、安定的に製造できない場合がある。
<アクリルシートの厚さ>
 本実施形態のアクリルシートの厚さは0.5~20mmの範囲が好ましい。0.5mmより薄い場合、アクリルシートが割れやすくなり、取り扱い性が劣る場合がある。20mmより厚い場合、アクリルシートの加工において、工具とアクリルシートとの摩擦熱がアクリルシート内部に蓄積されやすくなるため、特に穴あけ加工において高温になりやすく、(メタ)アクリル樹脂の工具への融着及びアクリルシートの外観品質の低下の抑制が困難となる傾向がある。
<アクリルシートの形状>
 本実施形態のアクリルシートはその表面が平滑であってもよいし、凹凸形状が成形されていてもよい。凹凸形状が成形される面は一方の面のみであってもよいし、両方の面であってもよい。凹凸形状としては、例えばレンチキュラーレンズや半球状レンズ、角錐状レンズなどが挙げられる。
 上記のようにして製造されたアクリルシートは、用途に応じた寸法、形状にて加工可能である。加工の例としては、ルータビット、又は丸のこ、若しくは帯のこなどの工具による切断加工;ドリルやルータビットなどの工具による穴あけ加工;などが挙げられる。上記のようにして加工されたアクリルシートは表示装置や看板の保護シート、カーポートなどの透明屋根部材、照明器具カバーなどに材料として適する。
 次に、本発明を実施例および比較例に基づいて説明するが、本発明は下記の実施例によって限定されるものではない。
 実施例および比較例の評価方法を以下に示す。
<MFR>
ISO 1133に準拠して230℃、37.3Nの条件でMFRを測定した。
 (メルトインデクサー(「TAKARA L241-153」、株式会社テクノ・セブン製)を使用)
<ビカット軟化温度>
ISO 306(B50)に準拠してビカット軟化温度を測定した。
<切削加工性の評価>
 NCルータ(庄田鉄工株式会社製、ベーシックNCルータマシン NC5001)に超硬ルータビット(庄田鉄工株式会社製、直径:3mm、刃の角度:逃げ角17度、すくい角:25度、歯数:1、材質:超硬鋼材)を使用し、回転速度17000rpm、切削速度1.5m/分、切削長さ28mmの切削加工条件で切削粉片吸引方式にて冷却しながらアクリルシートの穴あけ切削加工を行い、加工面の表面粗さを評価した。表面粗さはJIS B 0601(2001)に準拠して測定した算術平均粗さRa(μm)で評価した。
 算術平均粗さRaは株式会社小坂研究所製サーフコーダ「SE700」を使用し、測定倍率2000、測定速度0.5mm/秒、評価長さ4mm、カットオフ値0.8mmの条件にて測定したものである。
 さらに切削された表面を目視し、全面が光沢を有するものを+(プラス)、それ以外を-(マイナス)と評価した。
<加工面の外観品質の評価>
 上記切削加工性評価において、加工面の欠けの有無を目視し、欠けが観察されないものを+(プラス)、観察されたものを-(マイナス)とした。また、加工面に(メタ)アクリル樹脂の熱融着が目視で観察されないものを+(プラス)、観察されたものを-(マイナス)とした。
<厚さムラの評価>
 シートの押出幅方向の中央部においてシートの厚さを測定した。ここで押出幅方向とはシートの押出流れ方向および厚さ方向に垂直である方向を表す。測定は押出流れ方向1mごとに10箇所で行った。測定値の最大値と最小値との差を厚さムラとして評価した。
[実施例1]
 (メタ)アクリル樹脂(メタクリル酸メチル単位94質量%、アクリル酸メチル単位6質量%)(株式会社クラレ製、EH)100質量部と、パルミチルアルコール(融点:49℃)0.02質量部、ステアリン酸モノグリセライド(融点:65℃)0.1質量部を溶融混練機によって混合し、(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物を作製した。
 得られた(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物のビカット軟化温度は101℃、MFRは1.3g/10分であった。
 次いで前記(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物を使用し、押出成形機を用いて表面、裏面がともに平滑で厚さが3mmのアクリルシートを製造した。アクリルシートの切削加工性および加工面の外観品質を評価した結果を表1に示す。
[実施例2]
 パルミチルアルコール0.02質量部に代えてステアリルアルコール(融点:59℃)を0.028質量部とし、ステアリン酸モノグリセライド(融点:65℃)を0.07質量部とした以外は実施例1と同様にして、アクリルシートを製造した。アクリルシートの切削加工性および加工面の外観品質を評価した結果を表1に示す。
 得られた(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物のビカット軟化温度は101℃、MFRは1.3g/10分であった。
[実施例3]
 パルミチルアルコールを0.02質量部に代えて0.12質量部とし、ステアリン酸モノグリセライドを含まないものとした以外は実施例1と同様にして、アクリルシートを製造した。アクリルシートの切削加工性および加工面の外観品質を評価した結果を表1に示す。
 得られた(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物のビカット軟化温度は101℃、MFRは1.3
g/10分であった。
[比較例1]
 化合物(X)(パルミチルアルコールおよびステアリン酸モノグリセライド)を含まない以外は実施例1と同様にして、アクリルシートを製造した。アクリルシートの切削加工性および加工面の外観品質を評価した結果を表1に示す。
 なお、用いた(メタ)アクリル樹脂(株式会社クラレ製、EH)のビカット軟化温度は101℃、MFRは1.3g/10分であった。
<評価結果>
 各実施例のアクリルシートは、所定の化合物(X)を含有する(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物からなる。所定の化合物(X)中、脂肪族アルコールの脂肪酸エステルに対する比率は20~40質量%である。また、所定の化合物(X)中、脂肪族アルコールの融点は脂肪酸エステルよりも5℃以上低い。一方、比較例のアクリルシートは化合物(X)を含有しない(メタ)アクリル樹脂からなる。
 各実施例のアクリルシートは比較例のアクリルシートに比べ、切削表面の滑らかさに優れていた。また、比較例のアクリルシートにおいて、加工面における欠けや熱融着が発生していた一方で、各実施例のアクリルシートではこれらが発生しなかった。
 さらに実施例および比較例の厚さムラについて評価した結果もあわせて表1に示す。実施例3では押出機のスクリューの回転が安定せず、シートの厚さにややムラがあった。一方、実施例1,2は押出機のスクリューの回転が安定しており、厚さムラが小さく特に好ましい結果となった。実施例1,2は、脂肪酸モノグリセライドを含有することが実施例3と異なる。また実施例1,2は、脂肪族アルコールに対する脂肪酸モノグリセライドの比率が比較的高いことを特徴とする。
 かかる評価結果は、上記化合物(X)を含有する(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物が、アクリルシートと工具との摩擦熱を抑制できることを示すと考えられ、かかる特性を有する(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物は、アクリルシートの外観品質を低下させることなく、アクリルシートの生産性を高められる。

Claims (10)

  1.  メタクリル酸メチルに由来する構造単位を50~100質量%の比率で有する(メタ)アクリル樹脂100質量部、
     並びに炭化水素、脂肪酸、脂肪族アルコール、脂肪酸エステル、脂肪酸アミド、及び金属石鹸からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種以上の化合物(X)0.01~5質量部を含有する(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物。
  2.  前記化合物(X)は、少なくとも脂肪酸エステル及び脂肪族アルコールを含み、
     前記脂肪族アルコールの前記脂肪酸エステルに対する比率が5~40質量%である、
     請求項1に記載の(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物。
  3.  前記脂肪族アルコールの前記脂肪酸エステルに対する比率が20~40質量%である、
     請求項2に記載の(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物。
  4.  前記脂肪族アルコールの融点は前記脂肪酸エステルよりも5℃以上低い、
     請求項2又は3に記載の(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物。
  5.  前記脂肪酸エステルは炭素数16~22の脂肪酸、及びグリセリンに由来する脂肪酸モノグリセライドであり、
     前記脂肪族アルコールは、炭素数12~18の脂肪族アルコールである、
     請求項4に記載の(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物。
  6.  前記脂肪酸は飽和脂肪酸であり、
     前記脂肪族アルコールは飽和脂肪族アルコールである、
     請求項5に記載の(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物。
  7.  (メタ)アクリル樹脂100質量部に対し、前記脂肪酸モノグリセライドは0.01~3.5質量部である、
     請求項5又は6に記載の(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物。
  8.  (メタ)アクリル樹脂100質量部に対し、前記脂肪族アルコールは、0.004~1.4質量部である、
     請求項5~7のいずれかに記載の(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物。
  9.  請求項1~8のいずれかに記載の(メタ)アクリル樹脂組成物からなる、アクリルシート。
  10.  端面を切削加工した時のJIS B 0601(2001)の条件で測定した算術平均粗さRaが0.1μm~2.4μmの範囲である、
     請求項9に記載のアクリルシート。
