カバーシート51の基材となる第1ウエブ71は、繰り出しローラから繰り出され、塗布部72において第1面73の交差方向CDにおいて対向する両側部にホットメルト接着剤74が塗布される。第1ウエブ71を回転ドラム75に供給し、回転ドラム75上においてレッグ弾性体50の基材となる一対の連続弾性体76を第1ウエブ71の第1面73に供給する。連続弾性体76には、塗布部77においてその全周に機械方向MDに連続的にホットメルト接着剤が塗布されており、該ホットメルト接着剤を介して第1ウエブ71の第1面73に固定する。次に、第1ウエブ71と補強シート52の基材となる第2ウエブ78とを一対のプレスローラ79間に供給して同時にプレスすることによって、前記第2ウエブ78を第1ウエブ71の第1面73側の連続弾性体76間に配置する。第2ウエブ78の第1ウエブ71の第1面73と対向する面にはホットメルト接着剤を塗布しており、該接着剤を介して第2ウエブ78を第1ウエブ71に固定することによって複合ウエブ80を形成する。
折曲案内板81において複合ウエブ80の交差方向CDにおいて互いに対向する両側部82,83を内方に向かって折り曲げて、連続弾性体76を介在させた状態でホットメルト接着剤74を介してその内面どうしを互いに固定する。
互いに対向配置されたカッター84とアンビルローラ85との間に複合ウエブ80を供給し、その交差方向CDにおける中央部86を切断して複合ウエブ80を2つに分割して分離部位87を形成する。
複合ウエブ80を互いに対向配置された一対の周速調整ローラ88間に供給する。次に、複合ウエブ80の第1面73及びその反対側の面に対し、一対の供給ローラ90を介してクロッチ内層44とクロッチ外層45との基材となる第3ウエブ91,92を供給する。第3ウエブ91,92の両側部にはホットメルト接着剤93が塗布されており、該ホットメルト接着剤93を介して分離部位87を固定する。周速調整ローラ88の周速度V1は、供給ローラ90の周速度V2よりも高速であって、周速度V2に対する周速度V1の比率(V1/V2×100)は、約105~150%、好ましくは、約110~140%である。すなわち、周速調整ローラ88は、供給ローラ90の周速度V2に対して、1.05~1.5倍、好ましくは、1.1~1.4倍の周速度で回転する。したがって、周速調整ローラ88と供給ローラ90との間において分離部位87は収縮し、供給ローラ90間には他の工程S1~S3よりも単位時間(秒)当たりにおいて多量の複合ウエブ80が供給され、分離部位87が収縮した状態で第3ウエブ91,92に取り付けられる。
互いに対向配置されたカッター94とアンビルローラ95との間に複合ウエブ80を供給し、交差方向CDに延びるカットラインに沿って複合ウエブ80をカットすることによって、複数のクロッチパネル13を形成することができる。各クロッチパネル13は、仮想線で示すとおり、レッグ弾性化シート43のレッグ弾性体50が配置されている部分が伸長するところ、それをクロッチ域13の縦方向Yにおける長さ寸法L2の大きさになるまで収縮させて弾性ウエストパネル12に取り付ける。
縦方向及びそれに直交する横方向を有し、肌対向面及び非肌対向面と、前ウエスト域と、後ウエスト域と、前記前後ウエスト域間に位置するクロッチ域と、前記前ウエスト域を画定する前ウエストパネルと、前記後ウエスト域を画定する後ウエストパネルと、前記クロッチ域を画定するクロッチパネルと、前記クロッチパネルの前記肌対向面側に配置された、前記クロッチ域を中心として前記前後ウエスト域に延びる吸液構造体とを含むパンツ型の使い捨て着用物品において、
前記弾性ウエストパネルは、前記吸液構造体の前後端部の前記横方向の外側に位置する弾性域と、前記吸液構造体の存在域に位置する非弾性域とを有し、
前記クロッチパネルは、前記吸液構造体の両側縁の前記横方向の外側に位置して前記縦方向へ延びる弾性サイドフラップを有し、前記弾性サイドフラップは、前記前後ウエスト域において前記横方向の外向きに固定された前後端部と、前記吸液構造体の両側縁の前記横方向の外側に位置する非弾性部と、前記非弾性部の前記横方向の外側に位置する弾性部とを有し、前記前後ウエスト域の前記横方向の寸法に対する前記クロッチパネルの前記横方向の寸法の比が約55~70%であることを特徴とする前記着用物品。
(1)前記前後ウエストパネルは、それぞれ、前記前後ウエスト域の内端縁から前記クロッチ域側へ約0~10mm延出する。
(2)前記弾性サイドフラップの前記横方向の寸法に対する前記非弾性部の前記横方向の寸法の比が約22~56%である。
(3)前記非弾性部の前記横方向の寸法は約10~25mm、前記弾性部の前記横方向の寸法は約25~35mmである。
(4)前記クロッチパネルは、ベースシートと、前記縦方向に延び、かつ、弾性的に伸縮可能なレッグ弾性体を有する一対のレッグ弾性化シートとを有し、前記レッグ弾性化シートのうちの前記クロッチパネルとの接合部位から外側縁まで延びる部分によって前記弾性サイドフラップが形成されており、前記非弾性部は、前記接合部位から最内側に位置するレッグ弾性体までの領域によって形成され、前記弾性部は、レッグ弾性体が配置された領域によって形成されており、前記接合部位には前記横方向へ互いに並行して延びる多数のギャザーが形成された状態で前記クロッチパネルに接合される。
(5)前記クロッチ域においてバリアシートが配置されており、前記吸液構造体の両側縁から前記横方向の外側へ延出する前記バリアシートの両側部から形成された、前記吸液構造体の肌対向面に固定された前後固定部と、前記前後固定部間において前記縦方向へ延びる遠位縁部と、前記遠位縁部に取り付けられたカフス弾性体とを有し、前記カフス弾性体が収縮することによって起立するバリアカフスが形成される。

- 縦方向及びそれに直交する横方向を有し、肌対向面及び非肌対向面と、前ウエスト域と、後ウエスト域と、前記前後ウエスト域間に位置するクロッチ域と、前記前ウエスト域を画定する前ウエストパネルと、前記後ウエスト域を画定する後ウエストパネルと、前記クロッチ域を画定するクロッチパネルと、前記クロッチパネルの前記肌対向面側に配置された、前記クロッチ域を中心として前記前後ウエスト域に延びる吸液構造体とを含むパンツ型の使い捨て着用物品において、
前記弾性ウエストパネルは、前記吸液構造体の前後端部の前記横方向の外側に位置する弾性域と、前記吸液構造体の存在域に位置する非弾性域とを有し、
前記クロッチパネルは、前記吸液構造体の両側縁の前記横方向の外側に位置して前記縦方向へ延びる弾性サイドフラップを有し、
前記弾性サイドフラップは、前記前後ウエスト域において前記横方向の外向きに固定された前後端部と、前記吸液構造体の両側縁の前記横方向の外側に位置する非弾性部と、前記非弾性部の前記横方向の外側に位置する弾性部とを有し、
前記前後ウエスト域の前記横方向の寸法に対する前記クロッチパネルの前記横方向の寸法の比が約55~70%であることを特徴とする前記着用物品。 - 前記前後ウエストパネルは、それぞれ、前記前後ウエスト域の内端縁から前記クロッチ域側へ約0~10mm延出する請求項1に記載の着用物品。
- 前記弾性サイドフラップの前記横方向の寸法に対する前記非弾性部の前記横方向の寸法の比が約22~56%である請求項1又は2に記載の着用物品。
- 前記非弾性部の前記横方向の寸法は約10~25mm、前記弾性部の前記横方向の寸法は約25~35mmである請求項1~3のいずれかに記載の着用物品。
- 前記クロッチパネルは、ベースシートと、前記縦方向に延び、かつ、弾性的に伸縮可能なレッグ弾性体を有する一対のレッグ弾性化シートとを有し、前記レッグ弾性化シートのうちの前記クロッチパネルとの接合部位から外側縁まで延びる部分によって前記弾性サイドフラップが形成されており、前記非弾性部は、前記接合部位から最内側に位置するレッグ弾性体までの領域によって形成され、前記弾性部は、レッグ弾性体が配置された領域によって形成されており、前記接合部位には前記横方向へ互いに並行して延びる多数のギャザーが形成された状態で前記クロッチパネルに接合される請求項1~4のいずれかに記載の着用物品。
- 前記クロッチ域においてバリアシートが配置されており、前記吸液構造体の両側縁から前記横方向の外側へ延出する前記バリアシートの両側部から形成された、前記吸液構造体の肌対向面に固定された前後固定部と、前記前後固定部間において前記縦方向へ延びる遠位縁部と、前記遠位縁部に取り付けられたカフス弾性体とを有し、前記カフス弾性体が収縮することによって起立するバリアカフスが形成される請求項1~5のいずれかに記載の着用物品。
