Definitions
- the present invention relates to an adjustment component used for improving the chromaticity and color rendering of illumination light of a light-emitting device and a light-emitting device using the adjustment component.
- the light-emitting diode is one of the most efficient light sources currently available.
- white light-emitting diodes are rapidly expanding in the market as next-generation light sources that replace incandescent bulbs, fluorescent lamps, CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) backlights, halogen lamps, and the like.
- a white LED Light Emitting Diode
- an LED light emitting device a blue light emitting diode (blue LED)
- a phosphor that emits light having a longer wavelength, for example, yellow or green by blue light excitation ( LED lighting) has been put into practical use.
- a fluorescent member (wavelength converting member) made of a silicone resin or glass in which yellow light emitting phosphor particles are dispersed is arranged on the front surface of a blue LED, and the incident wavelength is 450 nm.
- Yellow fluorescent light having a central wavelength of around 570 nm (wavelength 510 to 600 nm) is generated by the blue light before and after, and is combined with the light from the blue LED that has passed through the wavelength conversion member to obtain pseudo white light.
- the light from the pseudo white LED device using Y 3 Al 5 O 12 : Ce which is a general yellow phosphor, has few green wavelength components near the wavelength of 500 nm or red wavelength components above the wavelength of 600 nm.
- the color rendering property of the emitted light of such a pseudo white LED device is inferior to that of natural light, an incandescent lamp, or a three-wavelength fluorescent lamp.
- the white LED has a structure in which a phosphor is arranged on a blue LED or in the very vicinity thereof mixed with resin or glass, and a part or all of the blue light is integrated with the blue LED.
- the so-called white LED element in which white light is obtained by wavelength conversion with the phosphor layer, is the mainstream.
- the present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and provides an adjustment component capable of suppressing a decrease in light emission efficiency while easily adding a red light-emitting component to the light-emitting device, and a light-emitting device using the adjustment component. Objective.
- the present inventors have intensively studied and studied the degree of improvement by adding red light to conventional pseudo white light. It has been found that white light with significantly improved color reproducibility can be obtained by adding approximately 5 to 10% of red light as the amount of photons.
- an adjustment component using a manganese-activated bifluoride red phosphor is used for the purpose of improving color rendering or adjusting chromaticity. It has been found that it is possible to suppress a decrease in light emission efficiency while easily adding a red light emitting component to the light emitting device. Thus, the present invention has been achieved.
- the present invention provides the following adjustment component and light-emitting device.
- the following formula (1) A 2 (M 1-x Mn x ) F 6 (1) Wherein M is one or more tetravalent elements selected from Si, Ti, Zr, Hf, Ge and Sn, A is selected from Li, Na, K, Rb and Cs, and at least Na and And / or one or more alkali metals containing K, and x is 0.001 to 0.3.) And the light having a wavelength of 420 nm or more and 490 nm or less is absorbed to emit light including a red wavelength component, and the chromaticity and / or color rendering index of illumination light is adjusted. Adjustment parts characterized by.
- the adjustment component according to [1], comprising the double fluoride phosphor.
- the double fluoride phosphor, any K 2 (Si 1-x Mn x) F 6 (x is as defined above) is manganese activated potassium hexafluorosilicate represented by [1] to [3] Adjustment parts described in crab.
- the adjustment component of the present invention does not need to be disposed on the optical axis of the light source at a position where light having a wavelength of 420 nm or more and 490 nm or less is incident. There is also an advantage that it can be arranged in the periphery and there is almost no decrease in light emission efficiency due to the adjusting parts.
- FIG. 2 is a schematic cross-sectional view illustrating an arrangement state of adjustment components in the light emitting device of FIG. It is a schematic perspective view which shows the other structure of 1st Embodiment of the light-emitting device which concerns on this invention. It is a schematic perspective view which shows the structure of 2nd Embodiment of the light-emitting device which concerns on this invention. It is a schematic perspective view which shows the structure of 3rd Embodiment of the light-emitting device which concerns on this invention. It is a schematic perspective view which shows the structure of the pseudo white LED light-emitting device for evaluation of an Example. It is a perspective image of the state of light emission of the adjustment component of Example 3, and the wavelength conversion member of Comparative Example 3.
- FIG. 6 is a graph showing emission spectra of light emitting devices of Examples 5 to 12 and Comparative Example 5.
- the adjustment component which concerns on this invention is demonstrated.
- the adjustment component according to the present invention has the following formula (1): A 2 (M 1-x Mn x ) F 6 (1) Wherein M is one or more tetravalent elements selected from Si, Ti, Zr, Hf, Ge and Sn, A is selected from Li, Na, K, Rb and Cs, and at least Na and And / or one or more alkali metals containing K, and x is 0.001 to 0.3, preferably 0.001 to 0.1.) Is an adjustment component that absorbs light having a wavelength of 420 nm or more and 490 nm or less and emits light containing a red wavelength component.

- the double fluoride phosphor used in the present invention is a red phosphor represented by the above formula (1), and a part of the constituent elements of the double fluoride represented by A 2 MF 6 is substituted with manganese.
- This is a manganese-activated bifluoride phosphor having the above structure.
- the activator manganese is not particularly limited, but is obtained by substituting manganese for the tetravalent element site represented by A 2 MF 6, that is, a tetravalent element. Those substituted as manganese (Mn 4+ ) are preferred. In this case, it may be expressed as A 2 MF 6 : Mn.
- the double fluoride phosphor is particularly preferably manganese-activated potassium silicofluoride represented by K 2 (Si 1-x Mn x ) F 6 (x is the same as above).
- Such a manganese-activated bifluoride phosphor is excited by blue light having a wavelength of 420 to 490 nm, preferably 440 to 470 nm, and has a light emission peak or a maximum light emission peak within a wavelength range of 600 to 660 nm. To emit. Further, the double fluoride phosphor has a low absorptance at a wavelength of 500 nm or more.
- the double fluoride phosphor represented by the above formula (1) may be produced by a conventionally known method.
- a metal fluoride raw material is dissolved or dispersed in hydrofluoric acid and heated to evaporate. It is good to use what was obtained by making it dry.
- the manganese-activated bifluoride phosphor is preferably in the form of particles, and the particle size thereof is such that the particle size D50 of 50% cumulative volume in the particle size distribution is 2 ⁇ m or more and 200 ⁇ m or less, preferably 10 ⁇ m or more and 60 ⁇ m or less. . If the D50 value is less than 2 ⁇ m, the luminous efficiency of the phosphor may be reduced. On the other hand, when the phosphor particles are large, there is essentially no problem with light emission. However, when mixed with a resin, defects such as non-uniform distribution of the phosphor are likely to occur, so the D50 is 200 ⁇ m or less. Some have the advantage of being easy to use.
- the particle size measurement method in the present invention is, for example, a dry laser diffraction scattering method in which the target powder is sprayed in the air or dispersed and suspended, and laser light is irradiated to obtain the particle size from the diffraction pattern. It is 10 mass% or less.
- the adjustment part may be discolored.
- the fluorescent powder may partially aggregate in the sealing resin, resulting in non-uniform light emission distribution in the adjustment component.
- it is less than 2% by mass, the effect as an adjustment component may be reduced, but this does not mean that the range of 2% by mass to 30% by mass is not usable.
- the resin used for sealing the phosphor used in the present invention is not particularly limited, but is preferably a thermosetting resin or a thermoplastic resin, and particularly has high chemical resistance to acids and alkalis and is excellent in moisture resistance.
- a thermoplastic resin is more preferable because it can be molded in a relatively short time.
- the upper limit temperature during molding is preferably 250 ° C. or lower, and more preferably 200 ° C. or lower. If it exceeds 250 ° C., the manganese-activated bifluoride phosphor may be thermally decomposed.

- a light diffusing agent can be kneaded and blended for the purpose of achieving uniform light emission of the component.
- the light diffusing agent include fine inorganic ceramic powders such as talc, aluminum oxide, silicon oxide, aluminum silicate, and yttrium oxide, which have high optical transparency and low loss of transmitted light when kneaded into a resin. Aluminum oxide or silicon oxide is preferred.
- the particle size D50 value of the light diffusing agent is preferably 0.005 ⁇ m or more and 5 ⁇ m or less.
- thermoplastic resin and other auxiliaries are used as a raw material resin
- manganese-activated double fluoride phosphor is used as a powder, put into a twin-screw kneading extruder, and this powder is kneaded into a heated raw material resin.
- knead both of them in the form of heat and form them in an arbitrary shape according to the application, as in the case of general-purpose plastic materials.
- both of them may be kneaded and molded into the desired thickness and shape suitable for the adjustment part, or may be molded into a pellet for the time being, and the desired thickness and shape adjustment part from this pellet when necessary. It may be molded into.

- the manganese-activated bifluoride phosphor has a characteristic that blue light is likely to enter the adjustment component because the absorption coefficient for blue light having a wavelength of 420 to 490 nm is relatively small. Therefore, not only the part where the blue light is incident on the adjustment component, but the entire adjustment component emits light, that is, a light emission source in a wide range according to the shape and size of the adjustment component. In this case, it is suitable for adjusting the chromaticity and color rendering of light.
