- the fiber composition can contain 35 to 70 wt.% of polyetherimide homopolymer fiber, polyetherimide copolymer fiber, or a combination of the foregoing, for example 40 to 70 wt.%, 50 to70 wt.%, 40 to 65 wt.%, 45 to 65 wt.%, 50 to 65 wt.%, 50 to 70 wt.%, 60 to 70 wt.% or 65 to 70 wt.% of polyetherimide homopolymer fiber, polyetherimide copolymer fiber, or a combination of the foregoing.
- Fibrids are typically made by streaming a polymer solution into a coagulating bath of liquid that is immiscible with the solvent of the solution.
