Abstract

L'invention concerne une composition zéolitique convertie avec un liant, laquelle comprend (a) une composition de zéolites X comprenant une première zéolite X présentant un diamètre moyen égal ou inférieur à 2,7 microns, et une seconde zéolite X, la seconde zéolite X étant obtenue par conversion d'un matériau liant en seconde zéolite X, le matériau liant représentant de 5 à 50% en poids de la composition de zéolites X; et (b) une teneur en matériau liant non converti, après conversion en seconde zéolite X, représentant de 0 à 3% en poids de la composition de zéolites X. La composition de zéolites X présente un rapport molaire de structure Si/Al allant de 1.0 à 1.5 et une intensité LTA relative égale ou inférieure à 1.0, tels que déterminés par diffraction des rayons X. La composition zéolitique convertie avec un liant est utile dans un processus consistant à séparer le paraxylène d'un mélange d'alkyles aromatiques C8.
