吸収性物品
　本発明は、液透過性の表面シートと、液不透過性の裏面シートと、トップシートとバックシートとの間に設けられる吸収性コアとを含み、製品長手方向と製品長手方向に直交する製品幅方向を有する吸収性物品に関し、特に、香料を含む生理用ナプキンなどの吸収性物品に関する。
　従来、吸収性物品、具体的には生理用ナプキンの装着中における爽快感や安堵感を向上することを目的として、香料が入ったマイクロカプセルが混ぜられた接着剤を裏面シート側に塗布した構成が知られている（例えば、特許文献１）。このような生理用ナプキンによれば、接着剤を覆っている離型紙を剥がすと、マイクロカプセルが壊れ、香料がマイクロカプセルの外部に流出するため、生理用ナプキンの周囲が香料の臭いで満たされる。

　しかしながら、上述した従来の生理用ナプキンには、次のような問題があった。すなわち、生理用ナプキンは、主に生理中の期間に少なくとも数時間以上の時間に渡って使用されるため、その間における経血などの体液を吸収し、保持する必要がある。経血などの体液は、空気中に存在するバクテリアなどと接触すると不快な臭いを発する。このような臭いと香料の臭いとが入り混じると、不快な臭いを増長してしまう問題があった。
　そこで、本発明は、このような状況に鑑みてなされたものであり、経血などの体液に起因する不快な臭いの拡散を抑制しつつ、香料の臭いによって着用者が爽快感や安堵感を感じ易い生理用ナプキンなどの吸収性物品の提供を目的とする。
　本発明の特徴は、液透過性のトップシート（トップシート11）と、液不透過性のバックシート（バックシート14）と、前記トップシートと前記バックシートとの間に設けられる吸収性コア（吸収性コア15）とを含み、製品長手方向（製品長手方向L）と前記製品長手方向に直交する製品幅方向（製品幅方向W）を有する吸収性物品（生理用ナプキン10）であって、前記吸収性コアと隣接し、前記吸収性コアの製品幅方向外側に設けられるサイド部（サイドシート13）を備え、前記サイド部は、前記香料が配置された香料配置領域（香料配置領域17）を有し、前記香料配置領域は、前記サイド部のうち、少なくとも前記吸収性物品と当接する下着のクロッチ領域（クロッチ領域Sc）と対応する位置に設けられることを要旨とする。

　次に、本発明に係る吸収性物品、具体的には生理用ナプキンの実施形態について、図面を参照しながら説明する。なお、以下の図面の記載において、同一または類似の部分には、同一または類似の符号を付している。ただし、図面は模式的なものであり、各寸法の比率などは現実のものとは異なることに留意すべきである。
　したがって、具体的な寸法などは以下の説明を参酌して判断すべきである。また、図面相互間においても互いの寸法の関係や比率が異なる部分が含まれ得る。
　（１）吸収性物品の全体概略構成
　図１は、本実施形態において吸収性物品を構成する生理用ナプキン10の平面図（トップシート側）である。図２は、生理用ナプキン10の平面図（バックシート側）である。図３は、図１に示すF3-F3線に沿った生理用ナプキン10の断面図である。生理用ナプキン10は、製品長手方向Lと、製品長手方向Lに直交する製品幅方向Wとを有する。
　図１～図３に示すように、生理用ナプキン10は、トップシート11、ヒンジシール12、サイドシート13、バックシート14、吸収性コア15、補強シート16、ウイング18及びセンター粘着部19を備える。このような構成は、従来の生理用ナプキンと同様である。
　生理用ナプキン10のサイドシート13（サイド部）は、香料が配置された香料配置領域17を有する。
　トップシート11は、液透過性であり、本実施形態では、エアスルー不織布（25g/m2）によって構成される。
　ヒンジシール12は、高い圧力で圧搾された部分と、低い圧力で圧搾された部分とを有する。本実施形態では、ヒンジシール12の幅は、2～3mmである。

　吸収性コア15は、トップシート11とバックシート14との間に設けられる。本実施形態では、コニファークラフトパルプによって構成される。当該コニファークラフトパルプは、高吸収性ポリマー10%を含み、15g/ m2のティッシュ（不図示）によって包まれている。製品長手方向Lにおける中央域では、450g/ m2、中央域の製品長手方向Lに位置する前後域では、200g/ m2に設定される。
　補強シート16は、ウイング18を補強する。本実施形態では、パルプ紙（25g/ m2）によって構成される。
　ウイング18は、サイドシート13に形成され、製品幅方向W外側に延出する。ウイング18は、バックシート14側に折り返し可能であり、ウイング18のバックシート14側の面には、下着UGに着脱可能に粘着するウイング粘着部18aが設けられる。本実施形態では、ウイング粘着部18aは、幅15mm×長さ30mmのサイズであり、コーター加工により塗布されたホットメルト接着剤（HMA）によって構成される。
　また、バックシート14には、下着UGに着脱可能に粘着する複数のセンター粘着部19が設けられる。本実施形態では、センター粘着部19は、幅4mm×長さ165mmのサイズであり、コーター加工により塗布されたHMAによって構成される。
　香料配置領域17は、本実施形態では、幅2mm×長さ20mmのサイズであり、コーター加工により塗布されたアロマオイル入りのHMAによって構成される。香料の容量は、0.0002g～0.1gであることが好ましい。また、香料は、生理用ナプキン10の着用者がリラックスまたは新鮮な感覚を得ることができるものが好ましい。
　例えば、（a）Hexyl Cinnamic Aldehyde、（b）Lilial、（c）Linalool、（d）Dipropylene Glycol（溶媒）を上位４成分とする化学物質を香料として用いることができる。或いは、（a）Linalool、（b）Methyl dehydrojasmonate（デヒドロジャスモン酸メチル）、（c）Benzyl Acetate、（d）Dipropylene Glycol（溶媒）を上位４成分とする化学物質を香料として用いることができる。また、当該化学物質にエッセンシャルオイル（例えば、ペパーミントやレモン）を配合してもよい。
　香料配置領域17は、生理用ナプキン10の平面視において、補強シート16と重なる位置に設けられる。また、香料配置領域17の製品長手方向Lにおける位置は、ウイング18の一部と重なっている。
　香料配置領域17と、生理用ナプキン10の製品幅方向Wにおける中心との距離は、30mm以上に設定されることが好ましい。一般的に、下着UG（図４及び図５参照）のクロッチ領域Scの幅は、40mm～70mmであるためである。
　このように、香料配置領域17は、サイドシート13（サイド部）のうち、少なくとも生理用ナプキン10と当接する下着UGのクロッチ領域Scと対応する位置に設けられる。
　また、香料配置領域17は、製品長手方向Lに沿って延びる帯状であり、ウイング18の製品幅方向W内側の基端部18bに設けられる。なお、香料配置領域17とウイング粘着部18aとは、1mm以上の間隔を設けることが好ましい。当該間隔が1mm未満だと、香料がウイング粘着部18aと接触する可能性があり、ウイング粘着部18aの性能が低下する怖れがあるためである。つまり、生理用ナプキン10の平面視において、ウイング粘着部18aと香料配置領域17との間には所定の空隙が設けられる。また、香料配置領域17は、製品幅方向Wに沿った断面において、バックシート14から離隔して配置されている。
　（２）香料配置領域のポジション
　次に、図４及び図５を参照して、生理用ナプキン10が着用された場合における香料配置領域17のポジションについて説明する。図４は、着用者Pの下着UGに生理用ナプキン10が装着された状態における製品幅方向Wの断面を模式的に示す図である。図５は、着用者Pの下着UGに生理用ナプキン10が装着された状態における生理用ナプキン10（トップシート側）を模式的に示す図である。
　図４及び図５に示すように、ウイング18がバックシート14側に折り返されて下着UGのクロッチ領域Scに固定された状態では、香料配置領域17は、レッグホールLH内に位置することができる。このため、香料配置領域17は、着用者Pの大腿部と当接するようになる。
　つまり、下着UGのクロッチ領域Scと、着用者Pの大腿部との間に香料配置領域17が存在するようになる。このため、経血などの体液などに起因する臭いは、下着UGと生理用ナプキン10とで覆われた空間に閉じこめられ易くなり、下着UGの外部には、香料配置領域17に配置された香料の臭いだけが発散するようになる。
　（３）変形例
　次に、上述した生理用ナプキン10の変形例について説明する。具体的には、図６～図１０を参照して、変形例１～変形例３について説明する。
　（３．１）変形例１
　図６は、変形例１に係る生理用ナプキン10Aの平面図（トップシート側）である。生理用ナプキン10Aは、生理用ナプキン10と比較すると、ウイング18が設けられていない点が異なる。生理用ナプキン10Aの場合でも、生理用ナプキン10と同様に、香料配置領域17を設けることができる。なお、この場合、生理用ナプキンの種別によるが、一般的には、製品長手方向Lにおける中心部を含む位置に香料配置領域17を設けることが好ましい。或いは、香料配置領域17は、下着UGのクロッチ領域Scと対応する位置に設けられることが好ましい。
　（３．２）変形例２
図７（ａ）～（ｃ）は、補強シート16の変形例を示す。図７（ａ）に示す補強シート16Aは、製品幅方向に沿った前記補強シートの断面が、凹凸を繰り返す形状である。具体的には、補強シート16Aは、波状の断面形状を有する。なお、補強シート16Aは、波状でなく、矩形や三角形によって凹凸を繰り返す形状としてもよい。
　図７（ｂ）に示す補強シート16Bのバックシート14と対向する補強シート16Bの面は、疎水性の材料で覆われている。具体的には、バックシート14と対向する補強シート16Bの面には、疎水性のコート層161が形成されている。コート層161としては、例えば、シリコンコートを用いることができる。
　図７（ｃ）に示す補強シート16は、上述した生理用ナプキン10と同様であるが、バックシート14と対向する補強シート16の面には、バリアシート162が設けられる。バリアシート162は、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレンなどのSMS、ポイントボンド或いはエアスルー不織布を用いることができる。
　図７（ａ）～（ｃ）に示した補強シートによれば、香料がウイング粘着部18aと接触し、ウイング粘着部18aの性能を低下させることをさらに確実に防止できる。
　（３．３）変形例３
　図８（ａ）、（ｂ）～図１０（ａ）、（ｂ）は、吸収性コア15と香料配置領域17との間に設けられる堰き止め部に係る変形例を示す。
　図８（ａ）、（ｂ）に示すように、吸収性コア15と香料配置領域17との間に設けられ、経血などの体液（液体）の流れを堰き止め、体液が香料配置領域17に流出することを防止する堰き止め部として、製品長手方向Lに沿って延びるギャザー21を設けるようにしてもよい。ギャザー21の製品幅方向Wにおける長さは、10mm～20mmであることが好ましい。
　また、図９（ａ）、（ｂ）に示すように、堰き止め部として、製品長手方向Lに沿って延びる圧搾溝22を形成するようにしてもよい。圧搾溝22は、吸収性コア15の厚み方向に圧搾されており、例えば、エンボス加工によって形成することができる。圧搾溝22の幅は、1mm以上とすることが好ましい。
　さらに、図１０（ａ）、（ｂ）に示すように、堰き止め部として、製品長手方向Lに沿って延びるミシン目23を形成するようにしてもよい。ミシン目23は、吸収性コア15の厚み方向に貫通するミシン目である。ミシン目23の幅は、1mm以上とすることが好ましい。また、ミシン目23の間隔も1mm以上とすることが好ましい。
　（４）作用・効果
　生理用ナプキン10によれば、香料配置領域17は、サイドシート13のうち、生理用ナプキン10と当接する下着UGのクロッチ領域Scと対応する位置に設けられる。これにより、下着UGのクロッチ領域Scと、着用者Pの大腿部との間に香料配置領域17が存在するようになる。このため、経血などの体液などに起因する臭いは、下着UGと生理用ナプキン10とで覆われた空間に閉じこめられ易くなり、下着UGの外部には、香料配置領域17に配置された香料の臭いだけが発散するようになる。
　すなわち、生理用ナプキン10によれば、経血などの体液に起因する不快な臭いの拡散を抑制しつつ、香料の臭いによって着用者が爽快感や安堵感を感じ易い。
　本実施形態では、香料配置領域17は、ウイング18の製品幅方向W内側の基端部18bに設けられる。また、香料配置領域17は、製品長手方向Lに沿って延びる帯状である。このため、経血などの体液などに起因する臭いは、下着UGと生理用ナプキン10とで覆われた空間にさらに閉じこめられ易くなり、下着UGの外部には、香料配置領域17に配置された香料の臭いだけがさらに発散し易くなる。
　本実施形態では、香料配置領域17は、生理用ナプキン10の平面視において、補強シート16と重なる位置に設けられる。このため、香料がウイング粘着部18aと接触し、ウイング粘着部18aの性能を低下させることを防止できる。
　また、上述した変形例では、吸収性コア15と香料配置領域17との間には、製品長手方向Lに沿って延び、液体の流れを堰き止める堰き止め部が設けられる（図８～図１０参照）。このため、香料配置領域17の香料と、経血などの体液に起因する臭いとが入り混じることを防止できる。
　（５）その他の実施形態
　上述したように、本発明の実施形態を通じて本発明の内容を開示したが、この開示の一部をなす論述及び図面は、本発明を限定するものであると理解すべきではない。この開示から当業者には様々な代替実施の形態、実施例及び運用技術が明らかとなる。
　例えば、上述した実施形態では、サイドシート13にのみ香料配置領域17が設けられていたが、サイドシート13以外の部分（例えば、吸収性コア15）にも香料配置領域を設けても構わない。なお、この場合、サイドシート13に含まれる香料は、サイドシート13以外の部分に含まれる香料よりも多いことが好ましい。
　上述した実施形態では、生理用ナプキンを例として説明したが、本発明は、使い捨ておむつなどにも勿論適用できる。
　このように、本発明は、ここでは記載していない様々な実施の形態などを含むことは勿論である。したがって、本発明の技術的範囲は、上述の説明から妥当な特許請求の範囲に係る発明特定事項によってのみ定められるものである。
　なお、日本国特許出願第２０１２－００２５９６号（２０１２年１月１０日出願）の全内容が、参照により、本願明細書に組み込まれている。
　経血などの体液に起因する不快な臭いの拡散を抑制しつつ、香料の臭いによって着用者が爽快感や安堵感を感じ易い生理用ナプキンなどの吸収性物品を提供できる。

Claims (12)

  1. 　液透過性のトップシートと、液不透過性のバックシートと、前記トップシートと前記バックシートとの間に設けられる吸収性コアとを含み、製品長手方向と前記製品長手方向に直交する製品幅方向を有する吸収性物品であって、
    　前記吸収性コアと隣接し、前記吸収性コアの製品幅方向外側に設けられるサイド部を備え、
    　前記サイド部は、香料が配置された香料配置領域を有し、
    　前記香料配置領域は、前記サイド部のうち、少なくとも前記吸収性物品と当接する下着のクロッチ領域と対応する位置に設けられる吸収性物品。
  2. 　前記サイド部は、製品幅方向外側に延出し、前記バックシート側に折り返し可能なウイングを有し、
    　前記香料配置領域の製品長手方向における位置は、前記ウイングの少なくとも一部と重なっている請求項１に記載の吸収性物品。
  3. 　前記香料配置領域は、前記ウイングの製品幅方向内側の基端部に設けられる請求項２に記載の吸収性物品。
  4. 　前記香料配置領域は、製品長手方向に沿って延びる帯状である請求項３に記載の吸収性物品。
  5. 　前記香料配置領域と前記吸収性コアとの間には、製品長手方向に沿って延び、液体の流れを堰き止める堰き止め部が設けられる請求項１に記載の吸収性物品。
  6. 　前記ウイングは、前記ウイングを補強する補強シートを有し、
    　前記香料配置領域は、前記吸収性物品の平面視において、前記補強シートと重なる位置に設けられる請求項２に記載の吸収性物品。
  7. 　製品幅方向に沿った前記補強シートの断面は、凹凸を繰り返す形状である請求項６に記載の吸収性物品。
  8. 　少なくとも前記バックシートと対向する前記補強シートの面は、疎水性の材料で覆われる請求項６に記載の吸収性物品。
  9. 　少なくとも前記香料配置領域が設けられる前記サイド部の部分は、疎水性である請求項１に記載の吸収性物品。
  10. 　少なくとも前記香料配置領域が設けられる前記サイド部の部分の密度は、前記吸収性コアの密度よりも低い請求項１に記載の吸収性物品。
  11. 　前記ウイングの前記バックシート側の面には、下着に着脱可能に粘着する粘着層が設けられ、
    　前記吸収性物品の平面視において、前記粘着層と前記香料配置領域との間には所定の空隙が設けられる請求項２に記載の吸収性物品。
  12. 　前記香料配置領域は、前記バックシートから離隔して配置されている請求項１に記載の吸収性物品。
